Happy Magickal, Mystical, Misty, Mizzly, Magnificent, Musical, Manifesting Monday!

Fall feels like it has arrived! Even though the weather is unusually warm here, it was as if a switch went off one day last week and voila we entered Fall. The breeze tasted different, the leaves started to gently fall and there is an anticipation in the air. It’s really quite delicious!

Which means that Halloween/Samhain is coming! (You should see my happy dance!) I love, love, love Halloween, it is my most favourite celebration. The pumpkin carving, the costumes, the terrorising small children when they come for sweeties and the decorating.

My front yard is bedecked and adorned with tombstones, skeletons dancing with the sunflowers, ghosts, ghouls and headless creations. I love it!

Many of you have asked if there is going to be a Magikal Manual for Samhain (Halloween), you bet!Ā  It will be available for next week.

Now you may have heard people say “Samhain is coming and the veil is thinning.”

But what does that actually mean?

Let’s begin this exploration by considering that on one level, we are each separate beings with our finite little lives. But on a truer level, we are each infinite and eternal. We have no beginning and no end. And we are one with each other and every single thing. At Samhain, that relentless, all-pervasive Mystery is as close as it ever gets. And now we’ve arrived at what we mean when we say ā€œthe veil is thin.ā€Ā

You might say the veil is the place where the everyday illusion of separation brushes up against the divine truth of eternity and universal interconnection. The place where form meets spirit, seen meets unseen, known meets unknown.

When we meditate or perform ritual, or when we have a mystical experience of any variety, this curtain parts and we are able to gaze into the place of power, the place between the worlds.

Why does the veil thin throughout October, and particularly at Samhain?Ā

Because the days are getting shorter and the natural world is preparing to temporarily withdraw from the realm of life and growth. The harvest cycle is waning, but it’s not gone.Ā

This means Samhain is a transition: a doorway between the season of life and the season of death. Beneath this realm of constant change, there is a wide open space of eternity. A place of stillness in which the appearance of change arises. A serene openness to which we will always return, and with which we are one, even at this very moment.

Okay, enough chuntering on let’s crack on with the reading!Ā  When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to guide, heal and support this week I was delighted to see that The Spirit of the Animals Oracle chose to shine.Ā Ā

So in case you may have never met them, let me introduce you.Ā  ā€œAnimal Medicine, Animal Totems, and Animal Mascots have had cultural significance throughout our history.Ā  Europeans adopted animals as tribal symbols that were later incorporated into crests for nations.Ā  China has an animal associated with every birthday.Ā  The Romans celebrated the eagle as the symbol for the empire.Ā

Our ancestors observed the appearance of animals as omens and signs.Ā  Shamans and mystics rely on spirit animal helpers.Ā  Native Americans have vision quests to discover their personal animal totem.Ā  School sports teams choose animal mascots.Ā  It is no wonder that the interest in animals as emblems and how they relate to us still persists.Ā  Animals as symbols live in our deepest memory.ā€

Wonderful!  So my darling one just settle in.  Allow your breath to bring you back into your body and call back all the pieces of you that you may have left in various places throughout the last week.  Just breathe them all back to your core, like welcoming in little sparks of starlight.

To help you with this, there’s a lovely guided visualisation where we shall go for a little walk together, yes?

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go and have a look shall we?

LIZARD

Lizard is an Ancient One.  They are reptiles from an older time.  Their quick action and quirky maneuvers outwit and confuse their adversaries.  Lizards survive.

Lizard is sometimes called the ā€œlittle dragonā€.  Lizard medicine has the power of regeneration and transformation.  Lizards can shed their skin, their tail, let go of the past and step into a positive future.  Lizard people know they can survive anything and heal against incredible odds.  They are powerful dreamers and should pay attention to messages that come from their subconscious.  You can receive warnings that will help you avoid pitfalls.

If Lizard has chosen you, you have the ā€œlittle dragonā€ within.  Dragons are those who are free of the limitations of the past and transform into greater awareness of self and personal power.  With Lizard medicine, you can transcend injury and hardship.  Lizard people re-grow and renew themselves into wholeness.

As a survivor you are unparalleled,

No matter what happens you can adapt.

Embrace your transformation.

Put on your new cloak,

You are a master of regeneration.

PEACOCK

The Peacock is the most iridescent of all birds.Ā  Their feathered cloak of blue, aqua and gold is worthy of royalty.Ā  Their boisterous cries hold both mockery and laughter, which comes from their regal self-confidence.Ā  Peacocks are blessed with clear vision that notices the smallest detail.Ā  Because of their ability to eat poisonous snakes, Peacocks were used as protectors in ancient temples.Ā

If Peacock appears good luck will follow.Ā  The feathers of Peacock are symbols for protection, prosperity and sensuality.Ā  The Peacock is a symbol for rebirth and new beginning like its cousin the esuvie Phoenix.

If Peacock has walked into your life you have a colourful and vibrant personality that is sure to win admirers.Ā  You can raise yourself to great heights of brilliance in your field.Ā  Peacock people have the gift of observation and kenn perception.Ā  Your inner vision brings you wisdom and foresight.Ā  You must guard against letting your vanity or pride get the better of you.Ā

The best Peacocks are just their authentic selves.Ā  Your positivity and radiance helps lift others up to realise their own worth.

You were born to shine and inspire.

Practice humility to avoid jealousy.

Be grateful for life

And more good things will come.

Be true to yourself and

Recognise your brilliance.

OWL

Owl is the messenger and revealer of secrets.Ā  The totem of oracles and seers, Owl sits on their shoulder and is their advisorĀ  When Owl flies into your life know that a time of unveiling is at hand and the truth will be made known.Ā  Change is in the wind.Ā

Owl medicine can help you release the past and fly into a better future.Ā

Owls are creatures of the night.Ā  Their silent flight and superior vision make them supreme hunters.Ā  They capture the prize.Ā  If they cross your path repeatedly it is a warning to review your situation and see where deception is lurking.Ā  To see an owl can be an omen that a profound change is coming.

If Owl is your totem you are an Old Soul.Ā  You succeed with wisdom.Ā  No one can deceive you and you see into others’ souls.Ā  Be sure to keep your knowledge secret unless asked to provide counsel.Ā  Trust should not be broken.Ā

Ask your Owl totem to sit on your shoulder and guide you.Ā  Become the conscious student of Owl.Ā  Embrace your gifts and fly with theĀ  masters

Choose to know the truth because you can.

Open your inner vision.

You can see through deception.

Let the past go and make room for a better life.

Rise up, Magick and Wisdom are your birthright.

Oh my Goddess!Ā  Perfect guides for this week.Ā  Regeneration, Vibrance and Magick!Ā  Whoot!Ā  So darling one, have a fabulous week.Ā  If you are part of our amazing email community you will get notified this week about the Magickal Manual for Samhain.Ā  Big hugs and squeezes and remember to go dance in the fall leaves and pick a pumpkin!

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. šŸŒ•šŸ©µ

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

So this is your reminder to leave water out, plant flowers and protect the tiny wild things. They are holding the world together. 🌼✨

We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ wo We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of ā€œnatureā€ we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the SĆdhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other ā€œthin placesā€ at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire šŸ”„ ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place šŸŒ€
