Boundaries, Blossoming & Not Playing Small!

Jenny Heston · 11:11 am · 4 Comments

Gorgeous Soul

The last Monday in March!  Time is doing some very interesting things for sure!

Holy hannah, I will say March zippity doo dad past with incredible speed.  One moment it felt like it was the beginning of March, then it was Equinox and poof – gone!  Did you feel the same?

Many of you have shared with me that you are feeling the surge of Spring energy, the creation, the planting of intentional seeds – however are also feeling a tad overwhelmed with the energies that are chaotically swirling right now.

I totally get it.

So let’s start with talking about Boundaries, shall we?

Did you shudder when I said Boundaries?

There are all sorts of  boundaries that we work with every day.  Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Financial, Intellectual, Spiritual and Energetic.

I think of boundaries as this glorious field of energy around me that has the capacity of osmosis, it lets in the delicious, yummy, healing stuff and becomes like a steel wall when shit is creeping in.

I will be honest, I am very clear about what I allow through my boundaries whether it is through media, family, friends, random interactions, people I spend time with and even the clients that I choose to work with.

Boundaries are about healthy choices.

Boundaries are you getting clear on what is okay for you, what you need, and what you desire.

Is that selfish?  Fuck no!  It’s healthy as long as they aren’t reactive (note that word).

Knowing your values, owning your piece in any interaction you have and being clear about your boundaries up front is actually a refreshing gift for most of us intuitives and empaths (to be honest).  It’s something I teach in one of my courses.

Boundaries embrace all aspects of you and yes, sometimes that means a chapter needs to close as it’s not healthy but insecurities and stories keep you stuck in it.

Okay, so now we have boundaries gently talked about, let’s move onto the glorious Full Moon (Pink Moon) that happens on Wednesday, April 1st (April Fools day and just before Easter).

The Libra Full Moon arrives on the 1st of April, helping us to clear a pathway into the fiery, motivating, and action-fuelled energy that the month brings.

April holds some of the most motivating and fast-moving energy we have seen in a while. We have zero planets in retrograde, and lots of fiery energy pushing us to get things done, set goals, and go after our dreams.

This productive energy is likely to infuse its way into all of our lives throughout the month, but the Full Moon offers us a gentle pause, a Release Point

Arriving at the start of the month, the Full Moon offers a release point so we can make room for the fertile, fiery energy to flow. It asks us to clear and release all that feels heavy, all that is no longer serving us, and all that needs to fall away so we can move forward with greater ease and intention.

What is holding you down or keeping you stuck and limited? It’s time to have a clear-cut conversation with yourself and take decisive action.

This is not a time to hold yourself back, play small, or remain in indecision. The time has come to make a choice, once and for all. The time has come to be clear about what you want and intentional with your actions, your energy, and how you are spending your time.

(Note the energy of boundaries…..)

Then we have Easter, which I love – there are inflatable bunnies in my neighbourhood!

When my kids were smaller we would do a massive egg hunt all through the house, the property and up into the parks, I loved their joy of finding those wee chocolate eggs wrapped in glorious foil.

There was one time, a few years ago,  I had set the hunt up (which meant getting up at 4am to do it)!

It wended through the house, the gardens and up into a glorious park space with cliffs and alcoves.  They barrelled out with baskets in hand and found every frigging choccie egg and then as we were clambering towards home they saw someone sleeping under a tarp.

I was curious about what they would do, and left it up to them.

They paused, and then in quiet collaboration they gently left a massive pile of choccie eggs outside the top of the tarp and when they got home they all sat in a circle, poured the eggs out and shared them up equally.

Have to say, it made my heart sing.

However, sometimes family gatherings at celebration times don’t have that energy.

Uncle Tom, who can be a sarcastic asshole, comes.  Auntie Jean who is so critical about the food is invited and though you mean well, we may not thoroughly enjoy it.  It can feel like a chore or an obligation.

I invite you to play with the energy of boundaries, who you are, what you want and why you want it and to use your voice with compassion but truth.

So with all that being said, let’s crack on with the reading.

The guides that decided to come and play are the glorious guides of the Sacred Forest.

Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as not to do so would be rude!)

At the edge of the mind awaits the holy wilderness of the soul.  It beckons you, like a great forest filled with vast mysteries and wonders.  While this mystical realm exists in a higher dimension, beyond normal reality, it is real nevertheless.  To enter this mystical realm, it’s simply a matter of having an open heart and an open mind.

In this healing and holy place, long-sought answers to your deepest questions become known.  Ancient wisdom emerges.  Revelations about your future are revealed.  Hidden talents and abilities are activated with you.  It’s a place where miracles unfold, and your spirit can fly.

In the deepest sense you remember who you are.

So my dear one, just close your eyes and allow the delicious energy of this Full Moon and boundaries to swirl around you. Then when you are ready, pick the card of cards that call to you.

Did you remember to pick?

Come take a peek.

BEAR SPIRIT

Healing

You can sense the presence of the bear, even before you see him.

You turn slowly and look deep into his eyes, as a long lineage of healers – invisible, yet real – step out from beyond the trees and surround you both.  When you reach out and touch his thick fur, you feel healing energy instantly surge through you.

When the Bear Spirit appears healing on all levels is occurring, and it can come in many forms.  Be ready to accept it.  Know as well that you are a healing force for others.

You may not even be aware that you are a conduit for healing energy, but when others thank you, simply say, “You’re welcome,” even if you don’t know how it happened.

In many native traditions, Bear Spirit is thought to be aligned with humans, as he can walk upright like a human.  He represents the healer and “good medicine”.  He also bestows healing powers to those worthy.  You indeed are worthy.

Bear Spirit energy can also represent grounding, strength, and confidence.  It activates a stable foundation to face whatever challenges appear in your life.

You are a healer, whether with your words, your hands, your ability to listen and a channel for the life force of the Universe.

You are strong and grounded.

Healing is unfolding and/or a situation is being resolved.

Have faith that all is well.

DAFFODIL FAIRY

New Beginnings

You feel a tap on your shoulder, and in a flash of yellow, you see a Daffodil Fairy fly by you.  In a high, sweet voice she says, “The best is yet to be!  It’s time for a new beginning!”  With glee, you race after her into the forest.

Life goes in cycles.  Just as spring follows winter, a new cycle is beginning in your life.  In the phases of the earth, the plants die in the fall so that there can be new birth in the spring – it’s the universal dance of death and rebirth.

There’s a time to end and begin, and this is the close of one cycle and the beginning of another.

We associate the daffodil with spring, as it is one of the first flowers to emerge after the snows.  Its shape echoes the feeling of trumpeting in the new season; its colour suggests vitality, radiance, and sunshine.

It’s time to wipe the slate clean; it’s time to release the old and start again.

It can be difficult to release familiar routines, situations, or relationships when they no longer empower you; however, your higher self encourages you to not cling to the old, but set sail into new waters.

If you find yourself afraid to let go, you are urged to face your fear and allow yourself to stretch in a new direction.

The Creatrix is at your side, and wonderful opportunities will be born in your life.  Wholeness occurs when you can say yes to both endings and beginnings.

It’s time to start a new project or a new cycle.  Life force and vitality are emerging.  Release that which doesn’t serve and support you.

Make way for a new start! Success is at hand!

STAG SPIRIT

Leadership

A majestic stag stands atop a mossy knoll.  His nobility and grace are palpable.  You can see fog form around his nostrils with his every exhalation.  He does not need to announce his might.  Simply and utterly, he is powerful without words or proclamation.

In many traditions, the elusive and mysterious white stag is considered king of the forest.  With his noble antlers and his proud stance, he carries a commanding energy.  This card is calling you to claim leadership of your life.  Now is the time to step out of the shadows and become a beacon for others.  Don’t allow anyone or anything to dim your light.

You may be asked to take on a position of authority.  Even if you have been in the background in the past, this is your time to step up and shine.

Remember that a leader isn’t necessarily defined by age, status, or income.  A true leader is someone who is commanding, passionate, and motivating.  They have a vision and are able to make decisions with clarity and strength.

The greatest leaders are those who know how to serve and act as stepping stones for others to reach their dreams.  You empower others simply by being who you are…and who you are is enough.  Are you willing to step into the light and be a leader for others?

You inspire others to greater heights.  Step into leadership in your life.  You are a beacon for others.  Shine in your own life.  Be gentle with yourself and others; however, do not play small.

Take action.  This is your time.  Step up.

Woosah (yes, I say that a lot as that’s the energy that floods in).  Happy Monday, have a glorious week and remember to evaluate your boundaries, be clear and spend some time with this glorious Full Moon.  And if you celebrate Easter.  Have a hippity, hoppity time.  I am going to kayak, and play in my garden – so see you in two weeks.   Massive hugs.

Evolving in the In-Between: My Love Letter to Samhain.

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

At this glorious time of year – Samhain, there are so many invitations for us.

We are beckoned to connect more deeply with our inner worlds and the ancestral realms.

The ancestors are near.

The ancient ones are communing with us in long-forgotten tongues.

They are speaking through the fire—through the crackle of wood, the dance of smoke, the burning of herbs.

They are helping us to remember who we truly are and the ancestral medicine we hold.

The elements are our ancestors, too, holding us in the eternal memory of what it means to be children of the earth.

If you have a loved one that has crossed over, on Samhain night say a special prayer, or do something to remind you of them. Eat their favourite food, or light a candle in their name.

And beyond reaching out to passed loved ones, make time to acknowledge the “deaths” both great and small in your life. There are so many things that have “died” this year, so honour the ones that matter most to you, even if they are a little painful.

Here is a glorious Ritual for Release, that is easy, powerful and meaningful.

Look to nature for guidance, as it is always showing us how it dies and rebirths itself again and again.

What if on Samhain you chose to release stuffing your shadows and really embrace, love and trust all the different parts of you that work together as you live your most creative, honest and beautiful life?

What if you actually remember and embrace all you are – a wholeness?

Remembering the important life lessons that have come our way, such as: – I remember that masks that stay on too long will stick to my skin.  I remember I always have a choice.  I remember that if I am asked to keep a piece of me hidden, this is not where I belong.  It’s about diving into your core values and living them.

If you want 5 Easy Ways to celebrate Samhain and bring something richer into your life, I’ve got you covered.

If you want to dive deeper into the lore and absorb all the richness and magic then come play with Witchlight & Whisper: Samhain Magick for the Soul.

As the veil grows thin and night leans close,
may you remember —
darkness is not the absence of light,
but the cradle that holds it.

May your flame burn steady in the wind,
a whisper of gold in the long night,
a promise that what fades will return.

May your heart be a hearth
for all that seeks warmth —
the weary, the lost,
the parts of yourself long buried.

May the ancestors walk beside you,
their love wrapped around your shoulders
like a shawl of stars.

And as you cross this holy threshold,
may you trust the mystery,
the compost, the quiet —
for in the dark,
your soul remembers how to shine.

🕯️ Blessed Samhain 🕯️

✨ Witchlight & Whisper: Crossing the Threshold of Samhain ✨

Jenny Heston · 12:12 am ·

Gorgeous Soul,

Samhain arrives this Friday, and I can feel the shimmer of it already — that deep, ancient hum that says: something sacred is stirring.

My yard has become a glowing little underworld of its own — tangled spider webs catching the moonlight, skulls grinning beside tombstones, ghostly shapes drifting in the wind, and a few loyal skeleton dogs keeping watch.

Inside, candles hang suspended from the ceiling and flicker to life with the wave of a wand. (Yes, I absolutely believe in a good wand!)

But here’s the thing — if you’re anything like me, you intend to do something meaningful for Samhain every year… and then life swirls in.

You blink, and the day has passed.
The portal opened and closed, and you’re left thinking:
“I meant to pause. I meant to honour it.”

I want you to know — it’s okay.
The magick hasn’t passed you by.

Samhain doesn’t demand perfection — it simply asks for presence.

Even a moment of stillness, a candle lit in the dark, a quiet walk beneath the falling leaves can become a doorway.

Because Samhain isn’t only one night — it’s a season of descent.
A whole stretch of time where the veil thins and the light of summer recedes into mystery.

It’s an ancient Celtic turning point — the end of harvest and the beginning of the dark half of the year.   A time when our ancestors drew close, when the otherworld whispered through the wind and dreams carried messages between realms.

Samhain is a threshold — a fertile pause between death and rebirth.

It’s where we can meet the unseen, commune with our guides and ancestors, and listen to the wisdom that surfaces only in stillness.  I have to say, I love Samhain as it is the epitome of endings and beginnings.

This is a transformative time of year. When you connect with this potent energy, and let it guide you in your soul work, you can create lasting growth & change in your life.

If you’re feeling the call to explore these mysteries more deeply, to anchor this sacred time with intention and beauty, I created Witchlight & Whisper: Samhain Magick for the Soul as your companion for this very journey.

Inside its 47 luminous pages you’ll find:
🕯️ Rituals to honour the ancestors and the turning of the year
🌑 Reflections and journal prompts for descent and renewal
🍂 Simple ceremonies to meet your Samhain guides
🌕 Spells and seasonal lore to awaken your inner witchlight

Let this book be your lantern as you cross the threshold into the dark half of the year — a guide to remembering that the darkness is not something to fear, but a place of deep dreaming, fertile transformation, and return.

Step into the magick → Witchlight & Whisper: Samhain Magick for the Soul

Now with all that chuntering let’s go meet your guides as we walk towards the threshold.

In this season, your Samhain guides — whether ancestors, animal spirits, or aspects of your own deep knowing — are reaching out.

They move through candlelight, through intuition, through the quiet moments when the world goes still.  You don’t have to chase them.  Just open the space, light the flame, breathe — and listen.

✨ Ask them what they want you to release.
✨ Ask them what seed they are offering you for the winter ahead.
✨ Ask them how you can walk with greater authenticity and soul.

Ready!

I invite you to take a long, deep, luxurious breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.  Let your face relax, your jaw relax and the worries of the day drop to the floor like leaves from autumnal trees.

Then I invite you to see in your mind’s eye a glorious warm dark night sky, you feel safe, you feel supported and held and as the clouds pull away  you see stars that will guide you.  Breathe that in.  Allow this gorgeous Feminine Darkness to gently wrap around you and guide you and then when you are ready pick a card or cards that call to you.

You picked yes?

Shall we go see?

FOREST TEMPLE

Enlightenment

The sound of delicate chanting fills the forest.  You follow the sound, as you walk down a meandering path into a small clearing.  Before you, a forest temple becomes visible.  As you get closer, it feels that the chanting is penetrating deep into your soul.  Something seems to be shifting within you.  Everything is the same, yet everything is somehow different.

Meditate on the light within you and around you.  Connect with the ever-present of the Divine.  Right now your awareness is increasing.  Your ability to understand the world is shifting.  More and more, you can see situations from all points of view, and this creates an expansion in all parts of your life.

We can often get stuck in seeing the world from only your personal point of consciousness, which is dramatically restricting possibilities for you.  A one-sided adamant view of life can block a vast influx of light, joy, and connection to the Creatrix.

Strict adherence to your beliefs can obstruct wonderful opportunities from flooding your life.  Be willing to step outside your limited points of view and see the world from the others’ perspectives, and your life will expand.

With enlightenment, you’ll feel the expansion from a limited sense of self to an awareness of the cosmos around you.  That loves you.

Positive changes are coming.  You are lightening up; feel buoyant and free.  Your connection to Spirit is deepening if you allow it.  Old beliefs about who you are and what you deserve in life are falling away, replaced by incredible new paths.

EAGLE SPIRIT

Freedom

Eagle Spirit invites you onto her back, and you dwindle in size so that you can climb on.  You hold on to the down beneath her feathers as she soars higher and higher.  The forest looks smaller and smaller, yet you can see so clearly as you ascend above the clouds.  You have never felt so free!

It’s time to break free and let your spirit fly!  Be daring as you go beyond predictable behaviour.  Fling your arms up to the heavens in joy.

Also, pay attention when you have let life or others restrict  your freedom.  Recognising this is the first step to reclaiming your power.  Don’t allow yourself to be trapped by convention or the expectations of others.  The truth is that you aren’t here on this earth to be ordinary, but to step beyond limitations and self-imposed boundaries.

You have the ability to choose  your life on your terms.  Perhaps you aren’t always free to create the exact circumstances of your life – but you’re certainly able to decide what meaning to give those situations.  Select meanings that empower you, for this is the time to break free.  Hold the intent that boundless freedom surges through you, and so it shall.

This is the time to express yourself.  Don’t hold back.  Choose life on your terms.

Don’t be trapped by the expectations of others.

It’s time to start a new project or a new cycle.  Life force and vitality are emerging.  Release that which doesn’t serve and support you.  Make way for a new start!

Lol, you seriously can’t make this shit up!  Sorry if swearing offends you, but you can’t!  Wishing for you a beautiful Samhain, gift yourself Witchlight and Whispers if you feel called, but most importantly take the invitation that is being offered of stepping into the dark (in the Western Hemisphere) and really embrace yourself.

Big massive Pumpkin Smiles and may wee tiny Mars bars appear when you need them!

With love, light, and a whisper from the Otherworld,

Summer Solstice is here and Goodies Galore!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Dearest Gentle Reader,

Frigging love starting a post with that line! Summer Solstice, also known as Litha, arrives on Friday June 20th and the fire in you wants to burn with the sun.

To light up and beam out as far as humanly possible!

And why not?

Now you may be thinking to yourself, Jenny I have no clue what you are talking about or how to tap into the energy that is available to me!

Not a problem! There are two glorious goodies for you that will ignite your inner flame!

First off,  I have you covered with the amazing Stupendously Abundant Summer Solstice guide.  Fondly referred to as SASS, as who doesn’t like a little SASS.

She is a glorious 45 page guide that will walk you through it all with love and tenderness and help you ignite your own fire.

So let me ask – what words come to mind when you think of the Summer Solstice?

Thematically this celebration is about POWER, Strength, Illumination, Confidence, Energy, Self-acknowledgement, Joy and of course – glorious Faerie revels.

It’s time to celebrate and also time to reflect on your personal growth and the meaning of the season of light and growth.

This is the moment of our year when there is the most light available to you.

In terms of consciousness, it is when you are the most present to yourself and who you know yourself to be — the Sun represents the light of all life and consciousness.

At the summer solstice, a doorway in time opens, which our ancestors viewed as sacred and holy.

Litha is a grand portal of energy, space, and opportunity – a chance to let go of fears, doubts, and insecurities.

After the Sun reaches its maximum power, it begins to decline.

Slowly, the night force will grow stronger until its peak at the winter solstice.

Litha is the last chance in our calendar year to activate sacred intentions before moving into autumn and winter, the natural seasons of harvest and rest.

It’s a time to step out in faith and imagine what’s entirely possible for yourself. Dream an expansive vision for your life that will sustain you as the darkness slowly returns with the fall.

Which brings in the 2nd goodie!

After a lovely natter with my guides we are opening up 2 readings that are specific to Summer Solstice, which we haven’t done in two years!  The first one is Stand in Your Power and the other one is Hot Mess!

Only 20 spaces will be open from now until the end of June for the Solstice/Litha energy.

Remember, like the Sun, you have your Inner fire.

Your Inner Fire is the fierce, powerful, badass part of you.

The You that does the hard work of bringing your dreams to life.  In the same way that crops would cease to grow without the Earth’s sun, your life would shrivel without your Inner Fire.

So let’s ignite it so you can beam like the glorious beastie you are!

Okay, enough chuntering away.

Let’s crack on with the reading, shall we?

These are glorious guides to support you reconnecting with your Dream Song, Your Heart Song, Your Soul Song – your Inner Fire.  Let their words and images wrap you in nourishment and niggle away deep inside.

So take a glorious deep breath gorgeous one, and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go take a little look-see, yes?

GO DARK

Your darkness is not your enemy.

It can seem scary, but it’s where new life grows and develops.  You do too.

This moment calls you to be willing to be with your own darkness.  It asks you to embrace your dark as your beloved ally.  To cradle your uncertainty.

The dark night of the soul holds secrets for you that you wouldn’t be able to see in the brightness of glaring certainty.

Poet Mary Oliver spoke about a box of darkness as a priceless gift in her life.

Chaos, crisis and suffering want to gift you a new understanding of who you really are beyond who you always thought yourself to be.

COURT THE FEMININE

The word cunning is closely associated with the fox.

Cunning, like foxes and women, has been given a bad rap.

Many have twisted the word’s sacred origins into something manipulative and conniving.

But the word cunning comes from an older Middle English word “ken”, a range of knowledge or sight.

A cunning person understands that deep internal sight and wide-range vision lead to building an authentic life.  Excavate your deep knowing and trust its messages.

This is the way your soul-sight grows sharp, and your instincts return to the untamed power you were born with.

Sharpen your cunning to cut away what no longer serves.

No matter your gender, your life deserves the fierce protection that feminine discernment can bring.

CRAFT YOUR FOCUS

Your vision is a magnifying energy source, amplifying and expanding what it perceives.

In any single moment you have one choice.  You can turn your gaze toward what you don’t want, what isn’t working, what you are fearful of, what you worry about.

Or, you can look at what you treasure, what you love, and what you hope for, despite what reality tells you is possible.

Either way, what you focus on grows, right?

Now is the time to use this very simple power to direct the energy and flow of your experience.

When you focus on what you already have with gratitude, and what you want with love and appreciation, you create the energy version of your vision before there is any proof in the material world.

This moment invites you to consciously choose your focus.

Okay, have to say – love these cards!  All deep, rich and meaningful!  Wishing you an amazing Solstice and huge blessings.  Remember to grab your copy of SASS, or gift yourself or a friend one of the Solstice reading specials.  Huge hugs!

What is Lammas and an Abundance Ritual!

Jenny Heston · 3:03 pm ·

Happy Lammas!  (No, not Llamas, there are no llamas here).  Also known as Lughnasadh.

What is Lammas and what relevance does it have in my life you may be asking yourself.  Firstly, I will say it is a celebration, and who doesn’t need a glorious reason to celebrate!?  Secondly, let’s go explore what it is – so are you sitting comfortably?  Have a nice cuppa tea to hand, or a cool glass of water?  Then let us begin.

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago in the wonderful Gaelic mythological story of the Wheel of the Year, the Sun God (Lugh, Celtic God of Light and the son of the Sun) transfers his power into the grain, and is sacrificed when the grain is harvested.  So we have a dying, self-sacrificing and resurrecting god of the harvest, who dies for his people so that they may live.  Sound familiar?

The power of the sun goes into the grain as it ripens. It is then harvested and made into the first new bread of the season.  This is the Saxon hlaef-masse or loaf-mass, now lammas.  Seed grain is also saved for planting for next year’s crop, so the sun god may be seen to rise again in Spring with the new green shoots, as the sun also rises in the sky.  There are many traditions and customs all over the country that are still carried out at harvest time today.

So Lammas is the first Harvest Festival of the year, it is a time of awareness that the strength of the Sun (Lugh) is beginning to wane and there is a shift and change afoot.  Active growth is slowing down and the darker days of winter and reflection are gently and slowly raising their heads. It happens normally anywhere from July 31st – August 2nd, though some will tell you it can happen between August 1st and September 1st.

“ At Lammas the Goddess is in Her aspect as Grain Mother, Harvest Mother, Harvest Queen, Earth Mother, Ceres and Demeter. Demeter, as Corn Mother, represents the ripe corn of this year’s harvest and Her daughter Kore/Persephone represents the grain – the seed which drops back deep into the dark earth, hidden throughout the winter, and re-appears in the spring as new growth. This is the deep core meaning of Lammas and comes in different guises: it is about the fullness and fulfillment of the present harvest holding at its heart the seed of all future harvest. (It is a fact that a pregnant woman carrying her as yet unborn daughter is also already carrying the ovary containing all the eggs her daughter will ever release – she is already both mother, grandmother and beyond, embodying the great Motherline – pure magic and mystery.)”

So as the grain harvest is gathered in, there is food to feed the community through the winter and within that harvest is the seed of next year’s rebirth, regeneration and harvest. The Grain Mother is ripe and full, heavily pregnant she carries the seed of the new year’s Sun God within her. There is tension here. For the Sun God, the God of the Harvest, the Green Man, or John Barleycorn, surrenders his life with the cutting of the corn.

What are some of the symbols, plants and colours of Lammas you ask?

Green, Gold, Mint and Sunflowers!  Mint is one of the revered plants of the Druids and Its magical properties are both protection and healing, and at this stage in the year, its properties of drawing abundance and prosperity, are most appropriate.  Why sunflowers?  Think about it, we often take sunflowers for granted, yet by this time of year their flower heads are full and heavy with that wonderful spiral of seeds and they spend the whole day gently turning their heads to gaze at the sun. In the Aztec temples of the sun, priestesses carried sunflowers and wore them as crowns. They symbolize the fertility of the Solar Logos.

I found a glorious little ritual for abundance to do on Lammas that you might want to try.  (Courtesy of The Goddess and Green Man).

Lammas Charm For Gathering In Abundance

You will need:

A broom or besom.  Don’t worry if it isn’t a traditional besom, any broom will do as it is always the intent that is important. If you have no broom, collect a bundle of twigs and tie them at the top with a Lammas ribbon to make a hand broom shape. The besom/broom is a potent symbol of hearth and home, found in some form in almost every household. It is a traditional magical tool useful for everyday charms as it has the imprint of its owner firmly on it. Sweeping is a natural gathering gesture.

Ribbon.   A piece of green ribbon (for abundance), a piece of gold ribbon (for prosperity and gathering) or ribbon in Lammas harvest colours would be equally suitable.

A Sprig of Mint.  Ideally a sprig of mint from your garden (but you can get this from any supermarket), or dried mint – put it in a pouch. The mint represents abundance and plenty and is easily accessible to the urban hedgewitch.

Take your broom and tie your ribbon around the stave or top. Tie in your sprig of mint or securely fasten your pouch. Take your broom outside, place both hands on the stave and focus on your intention – gathering in your harvest for winter. Turn slowly three times in a clockwise direction then start to sweep towards your door saying:

“By one, two, three and four, sweep Lammas gifts to my door. May abundance be a constant friend, by my hearth till Winter’s end.”

Repeat this three times, then take your besom/broom back into your house and put it in its usual place. You can leave the ribbon on for as long as you want to, for a lunar month, or until winter is done. If you have made your own broom you can place it where you consider the heart of your home to be. The mint can be returned to the earth with thanks.

If you do not have an outside space you can sweep from your front door inwards to either your kitchen or hearth using the same charm.

So now you know what Lammas means, why it is celebrated and have a fun and easy ritual to perform to honour it, and bring in abundance.  So go grab your broom and start sweeping!

So instead of pranks, how about we choose a little sanity, a little laughter, and maybe a whole lot of not buying into the madness today.

Stay grounded. Stay cheeky. And remember… your energy is far too precious to waste on the circus. 🎪✨

When the world gets loud, chaotic, and just a litt When the world gets loud, chaotic, and just a little bit unhinged…
I don’t scroll… I soil 🌱

Straight to the garden.
No gloves (who has time for that when there’s planting to do?!),
hands deep in the dirt, heart softening with every seed.

Meanwhile… my dog is out here relentlessly offering me the same bone like it’s a sacred woodland ritual 🐾😂

And just like that—
I’m back.
Grounded. Breathing. Remembering who I am.

Spring is here, gorgeous…
and she’s calling us home 💛🌿

Gorgeous Soul 🌸 Ahhh yes… the Equinox. Where lig Gorgeous Soul 🌸

Ahhh yes… the Equinox.

Where light and dark finally call a truce and say, “fine… we’ll share.” 😏

And from that perfectly balanced, slightly magical moment?

You get a reset.

So… what are you planting? 🌱

Not the polite, sensible, people-pleasing goals…
I’m talking about the ones that make you go ohhh… that feels a bit bold.

More joy?
Cleaner boundaries?
A life that actually feels like yours?

You don’t need a 10-step plan.

Just plant the damn seed… and trust yourself to grow it 🌿
