How much of yourself have you been editing to fit in, belong, be loved—or simply keep the bloody peace?
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned how to make ourselves fit.
Be nice. Be useful. Don’t be difficult. Keep everyone happy. Don’t take up too much space.
And so we became very, very good at being who other people needed us to be.
The Good Girl. The Strong One. The Fixer. The Caregiver. The Peacekeeper. The One Who Can Handle Everything.
Some of those roles we chose. Some were handed to us. And some we’ve worn for so bloody long we’ve forgotten they’re roles—not who we are.
And then there’s Killer Empathy.
Empathy is a glorious superpower. But its other edge is The Rescuer—the part of us that understands, helps, fixes, smooths things over and carries the load.
Perhaps you recognise her.
You say yes while your body screams no. You understand everyone else’s feelings while losing sight of your own. You keep the peace, manage the emotional weather and make yourself just a little smaller.
Until one day you wonder:
Where the hell did I go?
This is what we’re going to explore at the Table.
Not through another bloody lecture about how you should be doing life better.
Through conversation.
Story. Practical tools. An embodied experience. Deliciously uncomfortable questions. Laughter. Connection. And probably a few “Oh fuck. I do that.” moments.
Because Taking Up Space isn’t about becoming louder, harder or caring less.
It’s about disappearing less.
What might it feel like to love without rescuing?
To belong without performing?
To care without carrying everything?
To say no without writing a supporting essay?
To give some of that glorious energy back to yourself?
You don’t need to arrive knowing what needs to change.
Come with a cuppa, your curiosity and your perfectly imperfect self.
Let’s find out what being 10% less edited might feel like.
You don’t need to become more. Perhaps it’s simply time to stop making yourself less.
