Shadow Archetypes, New Moon in Scorpio and Samhain!

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Mystical, Melancholy, Magnificent, Misty, Merry, Manifesting Monday! So good to be back, although I had a stupendous Thanksgiving weekend! The weather was fabulous, fun games were played, a huge meal was cooked and enjoyed and there was lots of laughter and connection (as well as candle making).

We have lots to explore this week, Autumn and the melancholy that can come with it, Shadow Archetypes, New Moon in Scorpio and of course Samhain! (Halloween, which is my all time favourite holiday of the year!) So grab a cup of tea and be ready to do some delving.

For some people Autumn can feel rather melancholic – with the leaves changing and dropping and a knowing that the days are getting shorter and winter is coming. There is a sense of going inwards and for self exploration, which for some of us feels rather challenging – we want to be distracted, doing things, sunny and bright. Aahhhh grasshopper, you are, but to see your brightness you need to welcome in the dark. Yes?

For me an inner burbling started a few weeks ago, have you ever felt that? It’s like an odd sensation in your body, being, mind, energy – the whole nine yards and you know something needs to come out and things are going to shift and change. The first time it happened to me years ago I tried running in the opposite direction to avoid it (let me tell you, it doesn’t work, it just comes back stronger and more intense). So as this burbling started I thought to myself – hmmm, something needs to be heard, shared, released etc. The first part that surged up was there were certain books I had to read, certain places I needed to go, certain people I needed to talk to. Okay, that’s easy enough. Then it got a bit stronger and stronger still until Wham!

Thus, after an amazing Thanksgiving weekend of keeping myself super busy, playing, exploring, entertaining, tending others, cooking – everything that was about others (which I am really good at). Monday I woke up and thought hmmm, I feel wiped. Not tired, but wiped, like a rung out dishcloth – nothing, nadda. Am I sick? I don’t believe so? Then I remembered the burbling and the message I had put out a few weeks earlier; the message I had put out to the Universe was “I feel I need to go deeper, I want more spirituality and awareness in my life”. HA! Gotta love how the Universe works and how it shows up (not always as planned). On Monday the weather changed from sunny skies to torrential rain and dark for days (and I mean at least 7!) Hmmm, the last time I saw the weather shift this fast and for a long period of time was the couple of days my sister was transitioning from physical to not. Gulp!

This time it took me dark (not weird dark, but into the shadow realm dark). I spent four days napping, lucid dreaming, writing, drinking cups of tea, reading, walking by the ocean or under the trees in the rain – repeat. I didn’t feel the need to eat as much, nor the need to talk to anyone. I played music, I wrote, I spent days in silence (which is so not my comfie realm) and most importantly I listened and was willing to see. Now don’t get me wrong, I used to hate Shadow work, but the fact of the matter is – we all have a Shadow side. We all have bits of us that no matter how we stuff it, ignore it, try and put glitter on it’s frigging there. So I played with it from a neutral place, not one of judgement, shame, blame – but a place to be willing to see if my Shadow pieces could be incorporated or did some need to be released. Well let me tell you it was bizarre, amazing, humbling, deep, dark and so many gifts tumbled out of the dark into the light. I realised that I have been playing from my Shadow Archetype. Now what the heck does this mean?

For me, my top 4 Archetypes are Maker, Healer, Writer, Lightworker – so how does one have a Shadow Archetype of those you may ask. What Shadow Archetype means is that you are still keeping yourself and your full Archetype on the sidelines to conform to what you perceive as societal norms and expectations. Something that at some point your soul is going to start burbling at you about. So again, for me, yes I write, but do I write daily? Do I write about the tough stuff (not often). As a Maker do I love to create, yes, however, do I only create things that I believe people will like (quite often yes). Are you getting this now? So one of the biggest gifts that came out of this week of bizarre transcendence was really embracing those Shadow Archetypes, offering them up to the light, welcoming them in and really aligning with me, my purpose, and how I want to serve and share. So if you see some tougher posts, or more calls to action you are more than welcome to ignore or it just might tickle your Shadow to come out to play.

The key transformation from this process for me was to be fully, completely present with all aspects of myself, even if they aren’t so pretty – because perhaps by me sharing, someone else will take a sigh of relief and know it’s okay to come out of the Shadows. There is something that has been burbling for me to create for over a year now to connect us all together – so as I have learned this last week – it’s got to happen! We are all part of something bigger and we need to share and encourage each other. We aren’t meant to be solo’s floating around in this great pond of life. Have you ever thought of what your Shadow Archetypes are?

On October 27th (just before Halloween) we have a glorious New Moon in Scorpio and Holy Hannah this is going to be quite an electric one. Scorpio rules the eighth house in astrology — the place that concerns sex, secrets, scandals, other people’s money, death, and transformation of all types. This will be a significant moon in the collective and our personal lives, and the energy will be powerful through Halloween week. Expect change that comes like a lightning bolt out of the blue. The change can affect relationships, money, income, and any other number of areas. It will be unsettling for some and electric for others. New Moon opposite Uranus creates spontaneous, erratic, and chaotic change. This highly charged electric energy can cause anxiety, impatience, abruptness, impulsiveness, and rebelliousness. So if you are feeling a tad tweaky, take some time to really ground, breathe and most certainly make New Moon wishes on Sunday. If you don’t know how to make them, we have you covered here.

Now isn’t it delicious that this New Moon energy kicks off just a few days before Samhain? (I think so!)

I love, love, love Halloween. The smells, the leaves, the costumes, the decorating – the whole nine yards! At the time that most of us celebrate Halloween it is also the festival of Samhain, the third and final Harvest festival where we celebrate with fire, eating and honouring the dead. In many places, Samhain coincides with the end of the growing season. Vegetation dies back with killing frosts, and therefore, literally, death is in the air. This contributes to the ancient notion that at Samhain, the veil is thin between the world of the living and the realm of the Dead and this facilitates contact and communication. This is also the Celtic New Year. Now I know some people get a tad tweaky when we talk Death, but we will explore it more next week with some ideas of how to really tap into the potency of this time. I promise you it won’t be scary!

So, when I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide and teach this week I nearly snorted tea out of my nose when I saw who were most adamant. (Seriously you can’t make this shit up!) The glorious Oracles of Shadow and Light, were most adamant they should be front and centre. Now if these amazing guides are new to you, please let me introduce them:- “Wisdom for Misfits, Mystics, Seekers, and Wanderers. Bittersweet…Unheard…Unconventional…Rebellious…Cheeky…Whimsical…Invisible. They’re not the words you often hear associated with the spiritual world, are they? The crystals that came to play are:- Mystic Merlinite – is known to be a stone of duality. It speaks about light and dark, and the black and white. It’s a seemingly simple stone that can attract good luck and powerful magic into your life. It’s a stone that will invite you to discover the deeper and darker parts of your being. Moonstone – The Goddess, mystery, self discovery and intuition. Shadow Quartz – lies in its ability to protect and ground one physically and spiritually to this world, and to absorb and transmute significant amounts of negative energy and release it into the Earth to be neutralized naturally.

Wowzer, the crystals have aligned with the energy and the cards – very cool.

Okay, you ready? Come settle into your body, it’s safe to be there. Breathe yourself back in – long deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow your face, jaw and shoulders to relax. If you need a bit of extra support there is a glorious guided visualisation for you (just below), if you feel inclined. If not, just breathe and invite in the pieces of you that you have judged as dark, “not right” and ask them what they need you to know this week. Breathe. It’s all good.

VOODOO IN BLUE

This fairy is letting you know that it’s time to back off from a person or situation that is not in your best interests….and that you may need to be brave and stop being so welcoming of what you actually do not want! So, this blue fairy, waving her voodoo doll, is letting you know very clearly that you now must tell someone to take a step back. You know you have been overriding your instincts with what seems rational, with misguided desire to help and befriend someone who may not be particularly good for you.

Voodoo in Blue doesn’t mind if she looks bit nasty when she gives the back-off message: she’d rather she was loud and clear and that the person pushing her buttons leaves quickly. So, she wants you to start trusting your instincts. To start being honest above being “nice”.

You do feel like you need to stay away from someone – and to tell that person clearly to stay away from you. And Voodoo in Blue stepping forward to speak with you confirms that your hunches have been ever so right.

CANDY CANE ANGEL

The Candy Cane Angel is in charge of letting you know when it is time for some little luxuries that will reconnect you with your self-love and self-worth. She, too, holds back from giving to herself, as she is such an earnest and industrious little angel – but her message is always clear; it is time for some fun!

As she says clearly to you “You know what my problem is? And you know what your problem is? No? Well, let me tell you. Our problem is that we both feel guilty about giving ourselves pleasure. See this little treat in my hands? It’s not bad, is it? It’s not evil, is it? But can I bring myself to just sit down and taste every moment of its sugary sweet delights? No. I have to wonder if it’s the right time. If I have done enough to earn this treat. To wonder why I should get this when so many do not have a single candy cane for their own selves! I torment myself with these things – and so do you! How about we make a deal? Next time you ponder a gift to yourself: a massage, a treat, a spiritual workshop, a delicious meal, time to laugh with a friend, a long rest or nap, meditation time, a space clear…..know that when you energetically tell yourself “I am way too busy for that indulgence,” you are really saying, ‘I do not deserve that!’ Well, let’s decide that you do! I am about to have my treat. I now charge you with the same quest. Give yourself that which you have been denying yourself. You do deserve it!”

Do not rationalise or talk yourself out of it any longer. Step out of the consciousness of lack and into the consciousness of “I deserve,” and grant yourself this lovely moment of luxury. It’s time for some joie de vivre and enjoyment to restage a grand entrance into your life!

MEND A BROKEN HEART FAIRY

Here she comes to gather up your heart’s sore pieces and place a sweet bandage on the place that is most wounded. And this one tender gesture does more to heal you than could a thousand years of therapy. It’s time for small kindnesses to be received, for you to know that the little gifts of friendship and sweetness are the ones that will assist you most at this time.

Allow yourself to be treated gently, to be attended to with kindness, and to be hugged. Allow yourself to accept that this is a time when you need to take good care of yourself. You are healing, and on the mend, but do not undo her medicine by forcing yourself to hurry up and get over it!

When you have heartache, it is important to treat yourself well: take time away from the flurry of shoulds you are so often confronted with. Why not take some time to snuggle on the couch with a favourite old movie, and have a sniffle. Have a long, comforting bath, and be sure to make a promise to yourself to let close people who are worthy of you and of your love! It is not about being bitter or guarded, but you are a sensitive and tender sweet being, and some people are just…not! So now is not the time for harshness. Soft blankets, sweet dreams, long baths, and a reduction of the harsh energy around you are best.

Then the Mend A Broken Heart Fairy can fly in to soothe you….. You will feel her presence, and she will lift the pain, until all that is left is sweet, gentle wisdom!

Wowzer my delicious lovely, that was delightful to watch how it all ties together at this time! Fall Equinox is here and we have a New Moon in Libra! Whoot!

Happy Magestic, Magickal, Miraculous, Mischevious, Magnificent Mabon Monday!!! Whoot! Whoot! Fall Equinox (Mabon) is here! I am wiggly, piggly, jiggly like a labrador puppy as I love this time of year and most certainly this celebration and the energy that comes with it. Yummers! For those of you who don’t know anything about Mabon, you can find out here. Mabon is often referred to as “Witches Thanksgiving” (no, it doesn’t mean you have to be a witch). It means it’s the second harvest festival on the wheel of the year, a time to give thanks for the bounty in your life, to release the things that you may have outgrown and to be grateful and count your blessings! Yes? Counting our Blessings is a powerful practice and something I do every morning on the beach.

Thank you to so many of you who messaged and emailed over the weekend sharing how much you enjoyed the Mabon Magick Manual and telling me about the rituals that you are choosing to do today – so very cool. One lovely woman asked for ideas to help her young granddaughters mark the day with ritual – I was thrilled to share some of the things I did with my kiddlies when they were little as ritual taught when young is so empowering and connecting. I also want to say a huge thank you for all the birthday wishes and love, I was so touched and feel incredibly blessed!

The weekend was glorious fun! As one of my son’s birthday is two days before mine, we had a joint family/friend gathering on Saturday where we rolled sushi and ate the most amazing Black Forest Cake made by my lovely friend Marja. (The best Black Forest Cake I have ever had). We laughed, danced in the kitchen, told bad jokes and snarfled a shed ton of sushi that we had made, it was great fun.

First thing on my birthday I took Danu for a quick jaunt around the neighbourhood bright and early and I nearly wet myself laughing at one point! A couple of days ago I was thinking to myself – gosh I would like a HUGE planter (I mean like a good 2.5 feet tall), that’s interesting etc. Lo and behold as we turned a corner – there on the boulevard was the perfect huge gorgeous planter! Quickly finished our jaunt, grabbed the truck and with lots of “oofs, aahhs” and brawn loaded it into the truck. Fabulous gift from the Universe to start my birthday morning! I then bundled up and headed out with Danu in the rain to the woods. It was glorious! The smells, the colours, the soothing green that wraps itself around you like a rejuvenating hug – ahhhhh. Now, if you have never walked with a doggo I highly suggest it (go borrow one if you have to). They a pure joy in motion. Danu was up in the bush, dashing to the lake, shooting back along the trail, trying to chase the frog, sniffing at the gorgeous gnarled roots – pure joy in motion.

In the evening, like a fall leaf I changed hair colour (thank goodness). Now if you know me, I have been rocking super short blonde hair with a darker undercut, all summer. Well with Mabon here it is time to be like a leaf and change colour, so now I am rocking the colour that I love a super, super, super (did I say super) bright red – positively perfect for fall me thinkst.

Today I am taking a day to hang out with Mother Nature, garden, plant, harvest and practice ritual. I have already done my fall cleaning and cleansing and am looking forward to some play time with the plants, nature, the random animals that appear in my garden (there was a peacock in the rainbow chard yesterday when I got home!), and doing some releasing and intention setting. How are you going to mark today?

We have a New Moon in Libra happening this Saturday on the 28th. What does this mean for you? Remember New Moon’s set the energy for the month, and are a fabulous time to write your New Moon wishes – so think about the Libra energy. Libra is about balance and harmony, so this New Moon is inviting you to to look at if you might have a strong need for balance and harmony. You probably desire to keep things “nice” rather than venturing into fundamental questions in order not to disturb the peace. You must learn to share your good and bad feelings. Do not be afraid to be who you really are, despite what is expected of you. Hell yes! The more we own and embrace who we are and how we feel, the better the world is (trust me).

Okay, we are doing something a tad different this week. When I was at the Mind, Body, Spirit Expo the other weekend a deck called to me so strongly that I didn’t even open it and look (which I normally always do), I just paid for her and brought her home. Well she insisted on being the guides to work with today and for this week and I have to say I think that’s quite delicious. This is a different type of deck, there aren’t guides per se, but there are – if that makes sense. Please let me introduce you to Blessed Be as these guides are new to you and relatively new to me, allow me to introduce them. “May these cards and guides offer you ways to enter into deeper appreciation of your life and its manifold blessings. May you have hope, understanding and kindness. And most of all, may you know deep within your soul, that thou art blessed.”

The crystals that were wiggling are:- Black Moonstone – for “feeling”, and understanding via intuition and emotional “thoughts”, rather than via intellectual reasoning. Smoky Quartz – is amazing for balancing and grounding as well as helping you to vibrate at your fullest potential as it releases negative emotions, and last but not least – Carnelian – stabilising, it restores vitality and motivation, and stimulates creativity. It gives courage, promotes positive life choices, dispels apathy and motivates for success.

And of course from our jaunts in the woods there are leaves that are just beginning to turn and some lovely juicy rose hips! (Don’t worry they then got used in a glorious Mabon centre piece).

Okay so let’s get centred shall we. Just gently breathe yourself back into your body, be here now, just at this moment. I invite you to see in your mind’s eye the Divine Mother (whatever she looks like to you), breathe. Then imagine her putting one hand on your feet and one hand on your head and saying “Everything between my two hands is beloved and blessed by the Goddess.”Breathe that blessing in, allow it to swirl through you and know how loved you are. Then when you’re ready; pick the card or cards that wish to bless you this week.

A BLESSING ON A BATTLE THAT CANNOT BE AVOIDED

“A blessing to help you through a conflict that must be faced with courage and compassion for all involved.”

Battles in our lives are not always the way we have seen them depicted. They may not be a fight, or a confrontation, or the clash of swords swinging. Most of us do not want the battle, we want the peace, and to talk and parlay our way through the differences and the difficulties within our lives. Many times we may walk away, knowing that the battle will bring more damage than we can face. And at other times, we must walk through the fires of confrontation and go into a battle we did not want, but which can no longer be avoided.

So, this is a blessing on those who are to face a battle they wished was not theirs to fight, but it has become clear that they have no choice but to confront, to bring out their arms, and to fight. It may be with the law, it may with wits. It may be through speaking your truth, and it may be by refusing to accept what another has determined is enough for you. It may be with a challenge, or a condition, or an injustice or a cruelty.

Whatever the nature and form of the battle before you, accept now this blessing upon you, for your courage. For your reluctance to bring aggression into the world. For your refusal to run. For your determination to see this story through, and for the belief you now have in yourself and whatever cause it is that you now stand up for. For your warrior’s heart, which is blessed with courage, and strength, of the feeling of fear, yet the ability to stand your ground. For the swinging of the sword, and the raising of the shield, For the quiet in the chaos that you will find, and for the sacrifice you will make, in order to see this through. You are blessed, and your warrior spirit is rising, and it is blessed, for you are no aggressor or foolish conqueror. You are a soul who will no longer run from what stands between you, and the rest of your beautiful life.

A BLESSING FOR UNITY WHERE ONCE THERE WAS DIVISION

“A blessing to help accept the difference between you, so that they inspire conversation and exploration, interest and discovery, rather than separation and rejection.”

May the division between you be left behind as you both begin to build a bridge of light formed from the willingness within your hearts to find your way back to a common vision. May the differences be worked through with the highest good of all concerned the foremost goal. May the differences that remain be ones that bring spice and change and agility to your ways and thinking, and may the bridge that is built between you all be strong and sturdy, lasting through the ages.

May the newfound unity recognise that there is not sameness, but a oneness of vision and a weaving together of dissimilar threads to create a glorious picture of paradox and complementary opposites. Let the antagonism and focused-upon rejection give way to humility – a willingness to listen, and may those who are unquiet and bellicose in their rumblings and threats be stilled by the knowledge that all will gain when peace is found.

May the love that can be born between people find its way through the fear. May the sense that when together, more can be achieved than when stubbornly apart, melt away the fences and walls that hold us from each other. Let us live and let live, give and take, share and receive, and come to an understanding. And let none of us involved in the bringing together of separate parties set alight that bridge.

Instead, let us quietly, surely and with intentions matching actions build the way to reach each other once again. United, so much can be done. We can raise each other up, and as you do, each of you who brings your heart to this task of healing will stand firm upon the solid ground you are now building. Unity is yours, friend.

May your soul feel called by the song of the day. May this day be gentle and good, clear and sure, filled with grace and gentle reminders of your own divinity. May the people you meet this day show generosity of spirit, be hospitable and welcoming, and open and candid in all their dealings. May the sky be filled with blue and white, may the green beneath your feet be solid and soft to walk upon. May the rain fall soft and nourishing, and trees whisper to you the secrets that you need to know.

May any challenges you encounter find an answering strength and courage within you, and when you come to your rest this night, may you remember the many blessings this day held, and account for them with the Gods, and be thankful for each of them, no matter how small.

Happy Magickal, Marvelous, Memorable, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! Whoot! Whoot!

How was the watery Harvest Full Moon for you? Did you do some releasing? I found it rather bizarre as on Friday morning I found myself feeling rather emotional and very “tweaky”, so much so that the mantra “Fuck this, I’m not impressed”, was running through me head! As I felt it really start to swell and rise to the surface I pitied anyone that I would encounter lol. Thus, I took myself outside, sat on the grass under a tree and just let it all pour out and become cosmic compost for the huge roots of the tree. Phew! Humanity was safe! So if you found yourself feeling rather emotional and tweaky, don’t fret, and if you still are having remnants of that fluttering around you – go find a lovely strong tree, give it a hug and tell the tree everything and let it wash down into the earth. (Works, trust me!)

This weekend I went to a Mind, Body, Spirit Expo (having never been to one before) and it was quite interesting. There were all types of vendors and workshops going on and you could find everything from crystals to hypnotherapy and body scanning. I was turned off a tad as a gentleman barged up to me as I was browsing and very bluntly said “I bet you don’t know your soul purpose and for $300 I can tell you everything you need to know.” Ummm, hmmmm, well this is a tad presumptuous, so my response was “Actually I have a really good grasp on what my Soul Purpose is thank you and I live it, work with it and embrace it daily.” Cheeky chap! So as I left the Expo it reminded me of the theme of this month “Commitment”. How are you doing with that? Have you decided what you are willing to Commit to for YOU?

Fall Equinox is coming on Monday September 23rd. I love, love, love this Equinox! (Did I say I love this Equinox?) My body responds to the change in the season, the cooler weather and the sense of a reset button and harvesting. I find it quite a magickal time and most certainly practice ritual and give myself time to celebrate and welcome the new energy into my being, my home and my work. I always remember when I was a kid going with my Great Aunts and harvesting flowers, squash, turnips, kale, apples, pears and a myriad of other fruit and veggies which we would then take and decorate the tiny little stone church in our little village in Yorkshire. It was amazing and made the little church look like the cutest and most organised Farmer’s Market you have ever seen!

As my birthday is the day before Mabon I have a gift for you. I want to gift you something to really help you really tap into and harness the energy of Mabon (Fall Equinox) and embrace the energy as we shift into it. Thus, I am putting together some rituals, a spell or two and a lovely guided visualisation which will come to you on Friday. I’m calling it the Mabon Magick Manual lol. (HA! We are working with the letter M again!) So do make sure you are on the email list so that you can receive it!

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading for this week. Now if you have never encountered these lovely guides, please let me introduce you:- “What is life if not a Divine Circus? Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us moment earlier. Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary. It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd.”

Interestingly enough, when I asked the crystals who would like to join in, the shells were very loud and pushy, which if you think about it makes total sense as we are still in the waves of the watery Full Moon in Pisces. So we have some glorious shells to accompany the guides and the nasturtiums in the garden (along with fennel) wanted to add some autumnal feel to it all.

Ready? I invite you to take a moment from the hurly burly of the day and just get present and in your body. Breathe your way back into it fully and as you breathe invite the thought of Harvest into your mind’s eye. What are you willing to harvest this season? What are you willing to release this season to have an abundant harvest? Let this question perk for a bit and just BE with it. There is no right nor wrong answer. Have you had enough of the dark side of life? Fear doubt, uncertainty, anxiety, frustration and believing that you cannot manifest your dreams are signs you’ve been in the darkness for too long. It’s your time to step out of the darkness and into the light.

It takes a lot of courage to leave darkness behind and embrace the light. To step into the light means that you give up attachment to drama, the stories of suffering and the pain of the past. You don’t deny your struggles or your pain, but you know it is possible to let it go in favour of trust, reassurance, comfort and commitment to what holds meaning for you, again and again and again, for as often as needs be until you are free.

Sometimes the courage of stepping into the light means a willingness to set aside the mental anguish and say, “Today I just choose to trust that everything is going to work out according to a higher and unconditionally-loving divine plan that has my best interests at heart.” It means that you acknowledge what you have gone through without needing to keep score.

Like the sun cracking through the night to bring the dawn of a new day, this is your divine wake-up call. Your dark days are numbered and your time in the divine spotlight is upon you. Be willing to shine your light, even if no-one else around you seems to understand, acknowledge or recognise it at first, or even for a long time!

ALICE

New worlds are calling you forth where the old rules don’t apply. It might seem strange, or freeing, or wild, or even scary at first, but you are meant to explore these new worlds. You will gain so much from the experiences. There’s no need to be afraid.

When your world becomes too small for your spirit, it can feel painful, like trying to walk about in shoes you’ve outgrown. If you do this for too long you can feel crippled with pain and unable to walk at all! You have a spirit that is outgrowing the worlds you’ve known and is yearning to experience new ones. Following those initial inspirations will open doors for you and gain you entry into entirely new and exciting worlds. You are ready for the adventure, whether you know it or not.

JOKER IS WILD

The Universe has a sense of humour, but never at your expense. It is laughing with you, not at you. You’ll see this for yourself as the Joker weaves her magic in your life, bringing you the grace that is beyond all reason, the necessary ingredient to ensure you win with the hand you have been dealt by life. There’s nothing impossible when the Joker appears. Her wild ways can transform a losing streak into a lifelong love affair with Lady Luck.

Strap yourself in and prepare for the ride of a lifetime. The Joker has come to you and the Joker is wild. Unpredictable and brilliant, she brings you a message. You probably won’t see it coming. It will probably be in a way that subverts everything you once believed to be true. Just don’t expect to feel in control of the process, for the Joker is wild and moves according to her own genius, but always blesses you with what will work best, beyond compare, now and always.

Virgo New Moon, Circles and being a Lightworker.

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Meaningful, Magnetic, Manifesting, Marvelous Monday! How are you delicious lovely? How has your week been?

We have a glorious Virgo New Moon gracing us with her presence on Friday (August 30th). What does this mean? What is the energy behind her? “Express Yourself!” This glorious New Moon brings an abundance of offerings and has the potential to lift and support us no matter what we are struggling with. This new moon is a chance to realize some of our wildest dreams. But to make the most of it, we’ll need to get crystal clear about what we wish to manifest in our lives. Thus, my invitation to you is:- gift yourself some time on Friday to really (and I mean really) think of the ways you want to express yourself. Put some good music on, have a kitchen dance, doodle on paper and as we enter into Autumn, how do you want to express yourself? Then when you are super clear on what you would love to create, be, do, have, write em down! Writing is so incredibly powerful. No, don’t type them out on the keyboard, grab your BOS, your journal, a scrap of paper and write 10 things that you are willing to put energy towards, that you want to draw into your realm over the next 28 days. (Remember the New Moon sets the energy for the month). Yes?

This last week circles have been coming up huge for me (I know, sounds odd doesn’t it?)

For example Monday night found me dropped to my knees on the kitchen floor sobbing my soxs off for hours due to the baking I had pulled out of the oven. I made mini lemon drizzle/lavender loaves and when the smell hit me my body had a massive visceral response. Lemon drizzle was my sister’s favourite cake and lavender was what she would rub on my temples and the bridge of my nose when I was small and as a teen, to soothe me. Talk about full circle memories.

Tuesday found me in the afternoon folding the laundry off the line and my midi ring vanished. I looked in the dry grass for ages and no little gold midi ring at all. Hmmmmm.

Wednesday at 4:30 in the morning found me full circle again. This time I was on the same beach my sister and I had celebrated Summer Solstice last year to now be doing a ceremony to match the 1pm time frame in the UK when she was being cremated. Powerful, Profound and amazing to send her back to the directions, the Earth, the Air, the Fire and Water.

Thursday found me sitting writing about Healing Circles and what happens within that environment and how the circle becomes the glorious chalice, container to hold everyone in a place of spaciousness (truth) and accountability. A place of deep listening, deep learning, deep sharing and deep healing. As I finished writing that sentence I stood up to go make more tea and between my feet was a rusty 5 cent piece (I know it wasn’t there before). Then a glint to the left and there was my midi ring! Bold, brazen and calling me to pick up the circle and own it. Hmmmmmmm.

Friday found me walking the beach with Danu and amidst all the lovely round rocks there was first one, then a bit later another – well worn and weathered 5 cent pieces.

Okay, all right all ready, I’m paying attention. Circles.

The Moon is a circle, Mother Earth is a circle – I get it. But actually the circle represents so much more than that. The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the Infinite, Eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement. The energy of Nature (note the circle of the seasons). It is a symbol of divine energy. It has a feminine touch that embodies compassion, manifestation and infinity.

So I sat and pondered, perked and played with this image and messaging for a while. We heal in circles, we communicate in circles, we share deeply in safe circles, we are held in circles. Hmmmmm. Okay, I think it’s most certainly time to create some circles, don’t you?

So with all that being said, when I went to the cards to see who wanted to come and share and guide, I was delighted to see who chose you! The cards that insisted on guiding and supporting this week are the amazing Lightworker Oracle, if you have never encountered this gorgeous deck, please let me introduce you. This deck is for lightworkers and what I mean by that is old souls. They have an interest in being of service. They want to live a life of passion and purpose and have their life mean something at a spiritual level. They care about causes that stir their hearts. They are often the black sheep of their family. Does this sound like you? I know it does for me.

The crystals that did their delicious wiggly, jiggly dance to come participate are:- K2 – enhances one’s discernment, a stone of deep insight. Rhodonite – a glorious stone of forgiveness and one of the most powerful heart chakra stones. Bloodstone – is an intense healing stone used to cleanse and realign the lower chakras with the heart, and is conducive to balancing the total body in order to overcome any distress or anxiety associated with re-alignment of these energies. HA! Perfect crystals to work with this deck I would say!

Okay, let’s drop into the circle. The circle of the Divine, the circle of your wise inner self. Breathe, just be and breathe. You are safe, you are held, you are healed, breathe. As you breathe and relax allow the image of expressing yourself to come into your mind’s eye. With that floating there trust yourself to pick the card or cards that you need this week.

MERKABA SPIRITUAL PROTECTION

Being open to receive is a way to gain empowerment, strength and all manner of assistance. To enhance receptivity, it can be helpful to de-clutter and cleanse your energy field. This allows for that which is not rightfully yours to be shed. Sometimes, this will include the disowned thoughts and feelings of others. When you release these thoughts and feelings, a spaciousness will grow within you. Then you can then receive more of what is rightfully meant to be for you – your divine good, in all ways.

An open, sensitive person can easily become energetically overloaded. Fro physical pain to emotional psychological tension, an overload does not feel good! You may even feel like you are carrying others on your back – or in your head! The added weight can drag your naturally light vibration down into anguish, doubt, fear or despair. Your inner vision, too, may be obscured by the overload. That can make it hard to discern what is yours and what belongs to another.

Whether experiencing overload to your system is an unusual occurrence for you, or you have a tendency to absorb and process others energies, you will benefit from a spiritual cleansing. Afterwards, you may feel less inclined to connect with particular people or work on certain ideas – even if they seemed very important before the cleanse. This means that you are freeing yourself from others’ input and discerning the true priorities of your own heart.

PAST LIFE ACTIVATION

You have talents within that have been developed through many varied life experiences. You have had many lifetimes already, even if you don’t recall them consciously, helping you evolve and grow into the loving being that you are today. Sometimes, whilst a treasure is emerging from the depths of your being into consciousness, it will be coated in the pain of the past. You might notice the outer coating first, the pain of abandonment, rejection, ridicule or shaming that perhaps resulted in the suppression or denial of that soul gift in your past life. You have to allow it to rise up to you, and you need to dig a little, to crack open the coating of a wound and free the treasure that temporarily became trapped in that pain. When you release the pain, you free the treasure once locked within it. The gift you are reviving is worthwhile. As you cleanse the memories, beliefs or programs that once caused you to subconsciously protect yourself by hiding your talent, you will grow strong enough to process the pain and stand in the truth of your reclaimed gifts.

Discovery, When Shift Happens and A Question…..

Happy Marvelous, Magnetic, Mystical, Magickal, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! Phew, we are in mid-August and playing with the energy of Discovery. Where does that energy come from? Your Heart. Trust me, look at your world through your heart to really Discover what is true for you and what you really desire and are willing to pay attention to.

As quite a few of you know I got back from the UK 2 weeks ago where I spent 3 weeks with my best friend, big sister, shared stories, laughter, hugs, tears etc and hung out with her in the Hospice and watched her die, until her very last breath. Have to say the toughest thing I have had to do in my life as she was “my person”, the person I could talk to about anything, the person who would kick my arse when I wallowed in doubt, the person who loved me unconditionally, the person who had been there for me since the day I was born. All of which I am so frigging thankful for! Unfortunately the UK, unlike Canada takes a while to deal with this type of thing – so she is being cremated on Wednesday and then some of her ashes under a tree in the UK and some under a gorgeous Canadian Maple here.

So I get home and “whomph” I felt like I was in an alternative Universe. Holy Shit, I hadn’t expected this, but it was most certainly happening. I felt like I was “out of time” – not to do anything, but that I didn’t belong in this time and I was looking at things from somewhere else. And the thing that scared me the most was I didn’t give a fuck. I didn’t give a toss about anyone else, nature, me, the environment, the person down the street, nadda. Zip, zero, zilch. Selfish right? No. Cocoon to SHIFT. Because as the grief grabbed me by the throat and threw me to the ground all sorts of gifts filtered through the fog. The gift of being aware how “sanitised” as a culture we are. You lost someone, you feel like shit? Sorry you feel that way. Then don’t share that conversation again. The gift of evaluating my relationships. Which ones are important and two way streets and which are more a one way street, or conditional? (Hence have ended 3 relationships in the last 2 weeks – and yes, totally okay with it). The gift of attracting people who talk to me about their feelings (even more so than before) and realising that loneliness, social isolation and disconnect are rampant in our culture – through all ages. The gift of friends who check in daily, make me cool cards, cool healing packages, remind me to come back to my body and a myriad of other things. The gift Death gives which is the gift of Life and Clarity – what is important and what is really irrelevant? So many glorious gifts coming out in the middle of the night, by the ocean, in a conversation and a most interesting process. Which in turn totally ties into the energy of this month of Discovery. I am discovering all sorts of aspects, places and pieces of myself and how I move in the world. Now to implement and integrate them so it ties in with my Mission and Vision of empowering, supporting and guiding – stay tuned for that!

Okay, I have a question for you. If I told you “You have negative energy attached to you, but if you pay me $500 USD I will pray for you for 3 days and that will release it.” What would you say? Would you happily send me $500 USD? I am hoping you would say WTF! I ask this question as a lovely reader shared that with me this week and wowzer, my ire ramped up, the“fraud” button went off like a big red light and I was pissed! Not personally pissed, but pissed for this lovely human who someone was preying on and trying to fleece. They weren’t a lightworker, they weren’t trying to help, they were trying to keep the fear of a “negative energy” in the forefront of this person’s mind to extort and manipulate. Holy Hannah, so not okay on any level. These are the type of people who give Healers, Light workers, Counselors, Guides and Mentors a bad name! I’m so glad I don’t know the lovely individual that is perpetuating this type of fear and extortion as I would have to go give them a karmic slap upside the head!

Phew, okay, lots of chuntering, let’s get on with the reading.

When I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide this week, there were two decks that wiggled but The Oracle of the Dragonfae, were adamant that they come out. Now if this deck is new to you, please let me introduce these amazing guides. These guides are the magical and mystical that weave through the threads of every day, they are the Dragonfae, Gods and Goddesses who dwelt in dimensional lands …Eden, Avalon, Ys, Atlantis and Mu, they are Morgan, Guenevere, Merlin and others – fully alive and filled with magick! They are the deliciously magical beings that have always been there, we just forgot, and when we connect with them, we reconnect with the lost parts of ourselves, allowing us to fully explore the gift of life on this beautiful green and blue planet, known by some as Gaia, by others as Dana, and by many other names.

The crystals that were front and centre are:- Carnelian – a stabilising it restores vitality and motivation, and stimulates creativity. It gives courage, promotes positive life choices, dispels apathy and motivates for success. Angel Wings – which aids you to connect with your higher self and receive/obtain guidance from the Divine. Blue Apatite – excellent communication and self-expression stone, known to increase intellect, imagination and intuitive awareness.

Okay, so are you ready? I invite you to gently close your eyes and start to breathe long and deep – in through your nose and out through your mouth. Just allow any bullshit, drama, stress, muscle tightness to drip onto the floor like gorgeous drops of rain to be absorbed back into the earth and used to nurture growth. As you breathe this way invite into your minds eye the energy of Discovery. What are you willing to discover about yourself? Just let this float there with love. Then when you feel ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

THE ELDER

People expect all those who are your guides and teachers to come in forms that are soft and sweet. I am neither, and I am stern and serious, because you are in danger of forgetting that which has been taught to you due to distraction. I ask of you now whether you have the commitment to carry through with the tasks you have decided you wish to complete. Because the words “Yes” and “I will” are simple. But to teach is to impart priceless wisdom and for others to ignore the lessons, simply means this entire planet is being held back.

Forgive me, for I become impatient at the pains you have put yourself through and I see that again there is the possibility of going over old ground. You must understand – you have already learned so much. What we wish for you to do now is to have the courage to live from the wisdom you have gained, rather than the fear which ensures you overlook all that which you have learned. I have been with you before, and you and I have already learned a great deal together. And let me say this: if you choose to behave as though nothing of the wisdom of Her has been given to you, and you behave as though you are deaf and blind, and have no senses, you will again feel pain that is simply not necessary!

So now, choose to follow guidance and learn the lesson you have already worked with…and when you have learned it for the last time, teach it to yourself. By demonstrating the qualities you wish to see in the world, by applying action and discipline to your dreams, I will also be relieved, because I will no longer have to bring the lesson to your attention again and again, time after time.

And my patience will no longer be tested! Together we can teach the new ones – they need you to live from your wisdom more than you think. Know too, that no matter how much you feel you have already learned and how wise you may believe you already are, that you still have a great deal more to learn. In this new school you will be entering, you will be an apprentice once again, surrounded by others who are just as eager, wide-eyed and sure of themselves, too, at times!

DRYSTAN

Don’t be distracted – see behind the act!

All my artifice hides only the truth, which at the moment you do now wish to see. I am always telling you the truth: it is simply that you do not wish to hear. I have always shown you who I truly am: you simply choose not to see. The clues have been strewn about you …but you have decided not to notice their presence.

I can draw people into actions that reveal their shadows; and for that they condemn me. But I have been their teacher, for they then know the whole of themselves, and thus have compassion for others. Some have wanted me to be an angel, when I have never been of the heavens, and never claimed to be. I am illusions: but most of all, I am your illusion.

Look beyond, take off my mask, and decide to acknowledge the truth about the circumstances which you find yourself within. And know that although you may say I have done you wrong, I have taught you to follow your guidance. Drystan is the Dragonfae bad boy, the cheat, the hustler and the fool who charms his way into your world, and then lets you down in spectacular fashion. He’s a rogue. And the truth is: you always knew there was something dodgy about his situation, or this promise even though the glamour here is nearly irresistible.

If you are drawn in by someones charm and charisma, you may find yourself wishing and hoping they were indeed your hero (only in disguise!) Use your judgement and place your own needs and desires first. Believe it when someone says they are not to be trusted, even when that is sid not with words but with actions, or when there are too many contradictions. Enjoy the show, but do not live the act. Begin to explore your truths, your story, and begin to look beneath the surface.

THE LOVERS

Passionate love seems to be the realm of fairy tales and romantic epics, but it truly is a part of your life and being too. Know that you are a beautiful being, worthy of bliss, romance and adoration. There is a God and a Goddess for everyone and you are about to discover that for yourself.

Know that within you is everything you need to draw to you perfect love and perfect trust. Know that physical and soul passion can be ignited. Asking is the beginning.

Your search for a soul mate is over, because with you now is the truth; that by believing in your true nature – the passionate and romantic being that you are – you are drawing to you the one who will adore you. Be quiet and still, and believe. Sensual delight, physical ecstasy and bliss are yours. In order to love well, we must actively love each day.
