Have you got Big Balls? New energy shift, a Gemini Full Moon, Hope and Winter Solstice is coming!

How are you? Here the air has literally changed and I can smell that early winter smell mixed with wood smoke from cosy fireplaces. As I go for my big yomps with Danu the wise (but young) therapy doggo I’ve noticed that people are putting up tons of sparkly lights – I so LOVE sparkly lights! Also, when I moved here a year ago I noticed that people decorated their outdoor trees with HUGE, I mean HUGE Big Balls! (Thus very quickly I experienced Big Ball Envy!) So this year I thought – I need me some BIG BALLS! Bright, shiny, sparkly and eye catching lolol. I put this thought out there to friends and random strangers and lo and behold I manifested gorgeous gold crescent moons with a single star on them, big glorious gold balls and …….. Drum roll please! BIG BLUE BALLS! (Trust me, some days I have the humour of a 10 year old boy!) Yup, huge, mammoth BIG BLUE SHINY BALLS! Snort!

A couple of my boys very kindly clambered up the huge cherry tree that is right outside my front door and bedecked it with all the moons and balls (and they even made blue ball jokes). So now when I sit out on my front stoop with a cuppa tea watching the birds flock in I can also chuckle at my big blue balls bouncing in the breeze! (And call to mind that AC/DC song Big Balls).

Okay enough of those shenanigans!

Can you feel it? The change in the season, the change in the energy? We are in the glorious early Winter energy where we are being invited to go into the dark, to go inward, to ponder, perk, plan and prepare! Winter Solstice is just around the corner and I am so thrilled as it is one of my most favourite times of year. I will be putting together a glorious package on rituals, energy and ways of celebrating the Winter Solstice, so make sure you are on the email list. However, the bottom line is very much about – into the dark we go and even more so as we are approaching a new decade!

If you remember the Shamanic energy for October was – Rewriting the Story, November was – Proactive Change and December is “GET PREPARED, BE PREPARED!”

If you know yourself, you won’t be tempted by false information or other people’s opinions. You will be able to make you own choices that may even go against what you have done in the past. Mixed in with that delicious energy is the last Full Moon of the year and the last Full Moon of the decade! According to the Famer’s Almanac this Full Moon is on December 12th at 12:12 EST and is known as the Cold Moon or the Long Nights Moon. (It’s also the Gemini Full Moon).

This Full Moon is a potent time to say goodbye to the stories of the past and to free yourself from any stresses, burdens, or anxieties that you no longer wish to carry. It is also a great time to bring resolution or let go of anything unresolved that was brewing around the last set of Eclipses in July 2019.

While there is support from the Moon to do release work around this time, there is also a powerful vibration of healing too, which will guide us to retreat so we can feel recharged and restored. This a very gentle and empowering moon so don’t over stress it, but release what you feel no longer serves you. For those doing the glorious Moon Bowl Ritual, this is when you will start taking a stone out a day, still repeating your themed intention!

Yesterday I lit the second candle in my lovely homemade Advent wreath – this is the candle of Hope and Love (it’s also the celebration of the light of plants – plants that reach up to the sun and in the breezes dance). Now the word “Hope” has never been one of my favourite words as I find it is used far too much i.e. – I hope the kids do their chores, I hope I win the lottery, I hope the cat doesn’t cough a hairball on the clean laundry………. So the word Hope always felt a bit banal to me, thus, I went exploring and reading and have to say I really like this definition, it is one I can get behind:-

“Hope is a feeling of trust, a security, and a reason to keep going. It is a passionate desire of our heart. It is a feeling of expectation and a longing for a certain thing to happen.” – Verity Russell

So let me ask – What do you Hope for?

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading. It was quite interesting today, as I know for a fact I was guided to the 3 cards that should be shared and yet when I lay them out there were 4????? Ah well, there is a message here that really wants to be shared! So when I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide and support this week I giggled when I saw it was The Oracle of Shadows and Light. With the invitation to walk into the darkness of Winter Solstice and soon to be Winter, as well as the Full Moon. Perfect!

Breathe in through your nose long and deep and let it out through your open mouth and as you settle into your body I invite you to see in your minds’ eye the shadows and the light and intertwined amongst both is Hope. FAIRY OF THE HIGHLANDS

It’s time to be brave.

The Fairy of the Highlands does not want to fight; she feels it is not in hernature. She wants to resolve disputes peacefully. But she will fight if it must come to that. And she is showing you now that you too have the means to stand up for yourself – even though you have almost chronically avoided conflict and allowed others to take advantage.

It is time to take up this sword, step into that part of yourself that knows how to take a stand, speak the truth, and not back down when the threat of conflict looms. It may seem unnatural, and wrong, and frightening, and this little fairy knows it. But it is time; and this giving up of what you have worked so hard for in order to avoid conflict or confrontation is no longer right. Take the stand, and hold up the word.

The time of truce is over. It is time to speak your truth and be strong. People have been taking over your ground, wanting what you have worked hard for, without doing the work themselves. They have done so by taking advantage of your peaceful nature. But enough is enough. Sad as it is, it is time to change this, to cut away the cords between you and those who have taken so much, and now you will go into battle. Yes, it is sad. Yes, the Highland Fairy is sad for you. But do not allow sorrow and guilt to neglect self-protection.

Honour yourself, raise your sword, and do not back down!

SEWER MERMAID

Your sensuality is beautiful!

You’re being reminded of the treasures you have that you may have labeled “bad” and perhaps even pushed away, forced underneath. We often have negative thoughts – that we are too short, too tall, our thighs too large, our breasts too small, our hair not right, our face not pretty enough. We speak to ourselves in negative ways, and we begin to feel we are not good enough. And when this takes place, the result can be that we begin to create negative experiences, blockages, and difficulties.

We push away, rather than attract them. We hide for fear that what others see will not be good enough. But this mermaid of the hidden spaces is here to show you that your dark thoughts have told you lies about your great beauty; you are your own self, and all that you are is perfect, whole, and complete. You may try to push her away and refuse to believe that you are beautiful. But when you are ready, she will swim to you and free you from all the harmful, negative thoughts and experiences, all the “sewage”. You will begin to believe that no matter what, you are a beautiful being, healthy, attractive, and one who deserves love, respect, and affection.

It’s time to believe in yourself – that you are attractive, beautiful, and worthy of love and respect. She will show you how to see your body as a place of health, delight, and strength. Let’s clean up your physical and mental acts. Let’s love all aspects of the physical self. Let us not criticise and hate ourselves, no matter our size, shape, or differences. We are all unique expressions of the Divine – and that truth most certainly applies to you. Let us not be ashamed anymore.

Let us celebrate who we are, and learn to love the differences, and be grateful for all that we have, are, and will be.

DRESS OF ALCHEMY

Release your Power!

You have strong, powerful, vibrant energy that changes lives. And with that comes great responsibility. Some people may be eroding their own energy fields with blame, discontent, and choosing the same destructive patterns over and over again. When this being walks in, she shows that it is possible to change deeply and truly, and to become clear, bright, strong, healthy, and very powerful in terms of your energy.

She understands the responsibility – and has worked consistently and with great discipline and earnestness to be able to create. The eyes in her wings make it impossible to ide from the truth of who you are.

It is time for you celebrate who you truly are at this time, to acknowledge you have some energetic debris that needs to be cleared, and when you do this, the gold of who you truly are will shine through, just as these alchemical symbols shine from her dress.

It is no longer possible in this new energy to hide who you are. You must take the time to be truly yourself. There is no cloak to hide within, as you can see: this dress she wears reveals all her magicks and all her secrets. The secrets and the wisdom of the ages are being revealed now more than ever before.

When you have cleared your energy field of the guilt, the fear, the jealousy, and the envy, you will be able to shine brightly, too.

TWO LITTLE WITCHES

Magickal space-clearing time.

From out of the shadows come the Two Little Witches, solemn and sincere. They fix you with their clear green and blue gaze, and ready you for the magick that is the broom they are about to pass on to you! And what is the magickal secret of this broom?

Why, that it can sweep clear any old, stale energy that is lurking about you at the moment.

Take this broom and see it whisk all by itself once, twice, three times, widdershins around your house, your hearth, your home, and it will clear out all that is hiding in the shadows of the corners and the underneath of the rooms of your soul and home! (Widdershins is the traditional direction for clearing energy. It means against the sun, in the northern hemisphere go in counter clockwise direction and in the southern hemisphere go in a clockwise direction.)

When it is done, they clap their hands three times, and the broom returns to their arms, and they move on to the next home that needs their help.

But now that is done, what will you fill your space and your life with? That is the greatest, and trickiest, choice of all, but one which only you can make!

Make the mundane work for you – it’s time to conduct a house clearing, followed by a house blessing. Whenever we make a change, we always rediscover stuff we’ve been hanging on to. Stuff that’s weighed us down, without our even realising it was there.

What does it mean to be a person of AWE?

Happy Magickal, Miraculous, Magnificent, Magnanimous, Matchless, Mellow, Meditative, Merry Monday delicious lovely! Holy Hannah Honey it’s the first Monday of December! Whoot! For all of you who celebrated American Thanksgiving – how was it? Did you remember to bless those around you and most importantly yourself? Tell me you didn’t get lost in the shopping aspect (which I still don’t quite understand).

Huge thanks to all of you who shared your glorious Moon Bowls, rocks and intentions with me for this month. They were all stupendously unique and perfect! Remember this is a delicious ritual where you take an idea, turn it into intention, put attention to it and give it some action. Makes it real and manifest.

I love December for a myriad of reasons, but the biggest one for me is the Winter Solstice. This is where the longest night happens and then we slowly shift to longer days, the energy builds, there is a budding – whoosah! It’s also my youngest monsters birthday and we have never been allowed to put up a tree, decorate for Xmas or anything until his birthday and Solstice happened!

I lead an amazing group called Soul Matters and every month we work with a theme through various exercises for the month, and then gather together and practise deep listening and deep sharing as we all unpack how the experience was for us. This month the theme is AWE. What does it mean to be a person of AWE? Think about that for a moment.

I don’t know about you, but when I witness a stunning sunrise or sunset, I feel AWE. When I stand out under a clear night sky and see the beauty of all the stars, I feel AWE. But what is AWE? Our expression “awe” is rooted in the Greek word áchos which also gives us the word ache. That vastness we experience in awe opens an ache in the heart, and by doing so, expands it. Dacher Keltner says “Awe is the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your understanding of the world.”

So what does AWE mean to you and when do you feel it?

More often than not we feel it when we see something outside of ourselves, but here’s a little invitation, what if you looked at yourself with awe. Awe is often reserved for majestic objects outside us. But, as poet Joy Harjo reminds us, the most breathtaking and life-transforming experiences come from remembering that there isn’t really a separation between that which is “out there” and us. We are connected to the awesome world around us. Those relationships make up our “larger self.” And noticing that larger self is one of the most humbling and awe-filled experiences we can have. Another way to play with AWE for yourself is to gift yourself with an hour of stillness (this is often the toughest and most challenging thing for people to do). Often the easiest way to encounter awe is just to sit still. And December offers so many perfect moments to sit back and soak in awe. Put on a jacket and sit on your stoop and watch the snowfall for an hour. Go to the park and sit on a bench watching the neighborhood kids sled down the giant hill, like you used to decades ago. Take an hour to look up at the stars while your favorite classical album plays in your earphones. Take a seat in the corner of the family holiday gathering and just watch the joy and love ping pong back and forth.

The aim is to sit back and still long enough to watch some piece of life unfold before you. In its unfolding, awe inevitably shows its face.

Play with it and see what happens, see how many moments and occasions of AWE you can tap into this month, it’s a game changer!

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading. The cards that wiggled and woggled to guide and support you this week are the delicious Faery Forest Oracle. Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them:- “Let us enter the wild green world together, friend, the faery forests where the great trees speak with us, the moss soft underfoot, the light pure and gentle. The homes of the once Sacred groves of the Celts, the Saxons, and the Vikings…and to the people who were here long before we had names with which to call them to us – the faerie people. May the wild green world and the wondrous beings of this Faery Forest heal us, inspire us and urge us all to become more who we truly are meant to be.”

The crystals that jiggled – Rhodonite – a glorious crystal known as the ‘Rescue Stone’ it’s an amazing heart chakra stone that promotes forgiveness and compassion for love to flourish. Pyrite – a glorious stone for the 3rd chakra. It helps enhance will power, overcome fear and anxiety. Last but not least, K-2 Jasper – can increase and elevate any of the bodies energy centres, and it stimulates psychic awareness of one’s entire body and its level of well being.

Okay, you ready? Take some glorious slow breaths in through your nose and then sigh them out through your open mouth. Breathe like this for a few moments, allowing yourself to sink back into your body and leave the dross of the frenetic behind. As you breathe, invite the sensation of AWE to come dance in your mind and tickle your tissues. Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

THE WYZARD

This wyzard is out and proud about their beliefs, and revels in the public use of knowledge. This is a card that can turn up when one has embraced their spiritual journey – and your joy in embracing your true self is evident. There will also be recognition, sometimes very favourable indeed. You are beginning to do what you once only dreamed of doing, becoming whom you once dreamed of being.

Your aura is charged with healing green light, your eyes shine with love and confidence, and your beauty is that of the inner natural divine self expressed outwardly. You are living your intuitive life outwardly in the world, fearlessly, powerfully, magickally, and thus you are transforming and healing the world, as well as providing a loving example of a wise one – a wyzard – to all who encounter you.

No longer do you fear rejection from friends or family as you embrace your spiritual and personal path. This is not imaginary. There is nothing alien or bizarre about being intuitive and living magickally, reconnecting with your power. Others may not understand what you speak of at this time – do not allow their limited vision to dictate who you become in this world. You will soon be asked for your guidance – offer it, as you are able to help.

THE YULE SINGER

There are times in life when our light dims so that it seems it may go out for all eternity. But when this time comes, you are being put to a great test. If you persevere at this time, you will experience a depth of life experience that will lead to you being reshaped, transformed,and, in many ways, changed. You are undergoing such an experience at present, and this card is here to share with you that at such a time of great darkness and suffering, a new light will shine and bring you back to life, a kind of reincarnation within the same life you are now experiencing.

THE SIGIL KEEPER

When the Sigil Keeper comes to you, there will be no words. Instead, there will be shapes and signs and messages a-flowing, as tough a language of symbols is being shared with you. When she comes, you are being encouraged to participate in this process by creating and shaping your own magickal symbols and beginning to consciously choose the symbolic language that you are creating and connecting with every single day.

You may wish to find a symbol at this time that represents you and the part of the journey you are exploring at present. You may wish to look around your home and see what “hidden” symbols have worked their way into your life, and you may wish to rearrange these, remove some, replace others with symbols that are consciously chosen to be of greatest magickal support to you at this time.

Look at your clothing, what you wear, and see the symbolic nature of this, and go through your jewellery and consider carefully the energy of its symbols and whether you wish to connect with this

Sigil work is simple but ever so powerful, and this amazing being is a reminder to work with intelligence, and to exercise your choice at all times. You must choose carefully now what symbols you keep about you – for they have shaped you more than you have ever truly considered.

Hello delicious lovely, happy Magnificent, Marvelous, Magical, Mighty, Manifesting, Majestic, Mindful, Mesmerising Monday! (Have to love the letter M lol). Did you know that in Egyptian writing, its ideogram is derived from the character for water, which explains why it’s so gracefully written. In terms of Roman numerals, it represents the number 1000? I really quite like the idea of the Egyptian ideogram and the letter “M”.

November seems to be whizzing by and I don’t know about you, but for me this last week has been an interesting weave of ups and downs what with this delicious Mercury Retrograde (which ends soon!), Remembrance Day and birthday’s galore! The weather has emulated my state of being as the sun will be shining one minute and then torrential rain the next, but as I wipe the rain off that’s pouring down my face I always remember to look up and see if there is a rainbow. And there have been!

I have been working with a great book called “Writing Your Soul Down” and it totally feeds in to how my body is responding to the change in Seasons. When sunset happens at 4:30pm it’s like an internal reminder to light the hearth candle, light the fire and then curl up with the doggos and write from my heart, write from my soul. Which has made for some very interesting conversations on paper! This can also be exceptionally challenging as the Season is calling us to take the time to go inwards, to hibernate, to tend our roots and be more introspective and reflective. Yet on a societal level we are heading into the season of parties, sparkly lights and being more extroverted. So how do you find your balance? For me I have made certain practices non-negotiable and they are literally scheduled into my phone in case I get distracted or practice procrastination. Remember, the Shamanic energy this month is of Proactive Change and the things that get in the way of that are procrastination and apathy. So what are you procrastinating on that would really nourish you.

With that thought burbling in your mind let’s go see who wants to guide you this week.

The cards that wiggled and giggled to come support this week are The Divine Circus Oracle, which made me laugh with Mercury Retrograde in play! Now, if you have never worked with this deck before let me give you a brief introduction – “This deck is for those who find it hard to follow rules, conform, bend to authority and generally ‘do what they are told.’ May your rebel heart always be bold. May your spirit always be free. My you remember to live the Divine Circus and have fun doing things the way you aren’t supposed to, whilst living your most creative and unique divine destiny.” The crystals that came to play are the ones from the beach, the gorgeous rocks that I pick up every morning and bring home to their beautiful bowl. And of course some delightful rose petals and Selenite to amplify.

Thus, I invite you to take a pause and a moment for yourself. Just BE and as you breathe in a lovely deep breath resonant with what would nourish your soul and as you breathe out through your open mouth release the procrastination and apathy. Breathe like that for a few lovely, luscious breaths and when you are ready, ask for the guidance that you need this week and then pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

CROWN OF THE BUTTERFLY BAMBINI

Just as nature imbues the butterfly with an innate ability for radical transformation, so too do you have natural instincts within, guiding you to grow in dramatic, utterly life-changing ways. Progress is your perfection. Growth is your attainment. Do you shun what you have been or mistakes you have made? Or instead, do you wear your ability for transformation as a sacred crown of power?

Transformation is an ability, an art, a sacred power. It requires an ability to go through the death of an old self, to be reborn again. That death might be an identity, a lifestyle or career, or an inner sense of self that no longer seems enough to truly reflect who you are becoming.

It requires both strength and flexibility, to be like bamboo, to bend without breaking. Are you willing to let go of what you have known, who you have been, without judging it, except to understand that you are outgrowing your past and becoming your future in this very moment? This takes great courage whilst flexibility of mind allows you to believe there are other possibilities in this life beyond what you have already experienced. The strength gives you enough courage to bear the loss of the known and the terror of the unknown, perhaps even turning that terror into excitement for what may be.

Don’t dream small dreams, for you are capable of far more dramatic and colourful creations. Trust in the magnificence of what you are becoming, the expression of the transformational intelligence and power within you.

DATE WITH DESTINY

Out of the ethers and into your life, she arrives now because you have a date with Destiny. She is a mysterious creature; her ways are wild and her guidance is true. She may create chaos from which a new order can emerge, but there is no need to fear. She has come to inspire, uplift and direct you.

A date with Destiny is a big deal. It is the moment when you realise there is something helping you out, something intelligent, powerful, wise and, no matter how empowered you are, something even more powerful than your own efforts. All bets are off! Nothing is held sacred and anything can happen. If you are a control freak, this will probably scare you witless! You need to trust Destiny’s interventions on your behalf, even if her work seems to be causing your best intentions to go astray. Trust or go mad because you cannot control her. And you do not need to! Your divine destiny is your best life. It is you in the fullest and most beautiful creative expression possible. It is what you want and need, even when you don’t immediately realise it, even when that is rather different to what you once thought you wanted and needed.

The Universe has heard the prayers in your heart, and life is going to answer them by rearranging what needs to be rearranged to sort out whatever has been troubling you. Make sure you let it happen. The more you allow yourself to trust in her, the more you will realise that the universe is working with you, rather than against you, and if you are willing, it will show you the time of your life!

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea. But not all blessings are instantly recognisable. Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development. A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way. Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should. Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

Blessings are the mysterious workings of the universe, there to help us along our unique life path to live our truths and fulfil our potential. The universe has the knack of knowing just what it is we need, even when sometimes we might think we need something altogether different. This is how it can be that something we resist and reject in our lives can become the very thing we’re most grateful for later on. We realise it had been a blessing masked, something actually helping us, even though it might have come in the form of a challenge or a struggle before we eventually gain great benefit from it.

The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet. But trust and have peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing. It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist. Yup, Mercury is Retrograde and with November – the Energy has Shifted! Buckle up Baby, We’re Going Deep!

Happy Miraculous, Misty, Magickal, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! How was your Samhain/Halloween? I will confess, I was left unsupervised with a box of those cute little mini aero bars and kit kats – what can I say? I blame it on not enough Trick or Treaters! Yup, there was only half a box left and I did feel rather sick! (But they were sooo cute and delicious!) However, I did take the time to make an offering to my Ancestors and to walk with the thin veil, it was amazing.

Okay, let’s get down to the Nitty Gritty. Mercury Retrograde and Energy Shift.

Now I know some of you the minute you hear the words “Mercury Retrograde” want to run and hide under a blankie in the closet. Totally get it. Personally it impacted me the minute it shifted by reading submissions not coming through, laptops acting up and my cell phone freezing at the most inopportune moments. Sigh. Breathe, Woosah!

So as we know Mercury is the planet of communication, mentality, thinking patterns, rationality and reasoning, and adaptability and variability. So yes we can sometimes get a tad lost and a bit like Chicken Little running around saying “Mercury is retrograde, Mercury is retrograde!”

But I love what Chani shares about Mercury retrograde:- “Mercury’s retrograde is as much of an underworld journey as Samhain. Traditionally known as a psychopomp, Mercury ushers us into the liminal space between the past and present, reason and intuition, the material and spiritual. Traditionally, a psychopomp is a spirit guide that helps souls transition from the living world to the afterlife. A spirit that guides us on our journey from the known to the unknown, Mercury helps to bridge to gap between the conscious mind to the unconscious realms.

Okay, so we have unpacked this Mercury Retrograde, now let’s unpack the Energy Shift – whoot! Whoot! Now if you remember this is the Shamanic look at the energy for the month, so for example September was – Commitment, October was – Re-Writing the Story and now for November (drum roll please……………..) The Energy is inviting you to look and work with Proactive Change! So what the heck does that mean you might be asking? Fair enough, please let Lena explain it:- “The focus is on how we can show up from a place of inner choice that is ours alone and free of outside influences, pressures and imprinting.

It is indeed a time to stop complaining about how difficult and challenging the last few weeks have been, and get a bit ruthless about what you intend to change. This is not a passive time. Even the climate that promotes self-observation and emotional reset is an active one as it demands a choice and a direction at the end. Being proactive means choosing change, choosing to say yes or no, choosing to receive, choosing your attitude for the day, choosing acceptance of what is not yours to change, and choosing to be creative and expressive from something inside of you, your unique and personal signature, instead of an outside influence or pressure.

One of the enemies of proactive change is procrastination. When you procrastinate you do so out of resistance to being proactive. The more you procrastinate the more vulnerable you are to the passive state that allows for a less than desirable outcome. So let’s look at this as a package. We have had Samhain which is celebrating our ancestors, looking back and asking for help. On that exact day Mercury went retrograde and invited us to do our inner work and now we have the invitation to really be Proactive about the Change that we want to create and manifest in our lives. (Are you paying attention?????)

For me, personally, this time between Samhain and Winter Solstice is an introspective time, a sorting/sifting time, a time to really do the work and snuggle up as the days get shorter and the weather gets colder. A time to unpack and release the dross that no longer serves and to create a space for something new and nourishing. Are you willing to play with it? Yes, this is deep work, yes there are soooooo many distractions that look far more sparkly, shiny and interesting. But what if you gave yourself 20 minutes a day to do something quiet, deep, introspective, how would that feel? If you do the math between now and Winter Solstice you would have made space and time for 17 hours of deep introspective, exploratory, discovery time! Wowzer! Talk about Proactive Change!

Okay, enough chuntering, let’s crack on – you have enough to perk and play with for the moment!

When I asked the cards who wanted to be your guides this week the glorious Isis Oracle were adamant to come and be front and centre. This is quite interesting as normally Isis doesn’t participate in “public readings”. It’s also rather ironic based on what we have just been exploring.

Have you ever asked who Isis is? Goddess of the Skies, Magick and Wisdom are just a few of the titles she is given. Let me take a moment to introduce you to this lovely deck – “You are a powerful Soul and you are awakening. Your thoughts, feelings and inner world is changing, and so too is your outer world. When a Soul is growing in power and strength, it can benefit from guidance to help make the path into a new way of being in the world that much easier. The crystals that wiggled and woggled to come and support are:- Blue Apatite – Increase your appetite for life! This lovely crystal helps to clear away the fog because it reminds us that what lies before and behind are of little consequence. It’s the energy that lies within that holds the key to eternal happiness. Emerald – help you open the heart to receive love in all aspects of life. The emerald meaning encourages you to give love to others as well as receive their love, enhance your own self-love and strengthen your connection with divine love. And last but not least, Peacock Ore – surrounds you with light to inspire positivity. It is a stone of creativity, innovation and blessings that helps to increase creative energies and stimulate new ideas.

There are also some heavenly scented flowers that are blooming on a gorgeous unknown to me tree!

Ready? I invite you to just BE for a few moments, just BE and BREATHE. Wiggle your fingers and toes, look at your hands and bring yourself to this moment, this present moment. As you breathe let the image of a warm, dark, cosy space flood up in your mind’s eye. In this space you nurture yourself, you are held, you are safe. In this space you can connect with something bigger than yourself and proactively make amazing changes in your life. Breathe that in; let it just float with no attachment to it. With this floating inside you allow it to pick the card or cards that want to share with you this week. So it is.

MAGICK AND RITUAL

Effect in the external world can be created through inner practice. Magick and Ritual can support your Divine Path now in the physical world and you are encouraged to enhance your power with regular practice. The results that you experience will encourage you to continue with the practice as you grow in power, grace, love, ability and wisdom, and apply your inner beauty to transform your outer world.

For us to grow empowered and potent on the Path of Ancient Feminine Power we need to honour our knowing and being and cultivate sacred practice. Sacred practice become the habit of growing our spiritual power and consciousness. Like a garden needing regular care and watering to blossom and flourish, our inner garden of the Soul, where our creativity, joy, spiritual gifts and bliss bubble away, also needs regular attention. Coming to our practice takes strength and inner will – even though it can feel amazing, we still have to wake up, set aside time and discipline ourselves to show up for our own inner growth. We will reap the benefits when we do, but we must allow ourselves to fall in love with our practice, to craft something that really speaks to us, so that we want to do it. The desire and the discipline together help us engage with our practice regularly and we can grow so fast it can be quite shocking!

You have great power and wisdom within you, but you need to provide channels for it to flow and be active and empowered in your physical life. Sacred Practice is such a channel. Without these channels, the ego is left to create on its own which is not much fun at all! The ego believes in fear and separation and no matter how much it may want to feel love, bliss, connection, joy and fulfilment, it really cannot do it without your spiritual presence in life. Ritual and Magick, as a form of sacred practice, are recommended for you as a way to bring more spiritual presence into your waking life, to heal and support the ego as you learn to create a life that feels better and brings you and others more fulfilment.

PORTAL OF LIGHT

It is only this physical reality that is bound by time and space. You are a being conscious on levels beyond the physical world. You are guided to work with your healing powers beyond the confines of time and space and to allow your sense of Self to expand. It is safe for you to do this now. You will not become ungrounded through such spiritual growth. You are not leaving your earthly awareness, you are instead adding to it.

You are growing in power and awareness. You have had breakthrough insights where you realise that you are not who you thought you were, you are in fact a much vaster being. Sometimes this was shocking and uncomfortable, and difficult to accept. At other times it was gentle and made much sense to you. You are learning to integrate this awareness of your vast Self into your life. The practical consequences of doing so are extraordinary – to live with less and less fear and insecurity, to become more detached and more passionate, more loving and less demanding, to need less and receive more, to feel more joy and exert less force to attain it…..Such wonderful gifts await you!

Isis guides you to powers and abilities to heal that are beyond time and space. It starts with the realisation that what has happened in the past has power over you only to the extent that you allow it. The portal of light is being opened to you now to travel through time and space to release the past, to open up to a future bright and to call for more power in the present moment.

ANCIENT POWER MYSTERIES

The Rattle of Isis, the Sistrum, is playing in the hand of the goddess now. Can you sense it with your inner hearing? When the Lady Isis initiates a beloved into Her Ancient Mysteries, life can become quite interesting! An Initiate of Isis does not just learn new ideas as a student, but is thrown into the experience of the mysteries in real day-to-day living so that they may be truly mastered in our lives and then utilised in service to help the lives of others too, so that one day, all beings will be healed and whole, according to the will of the Divine Feminine.

The Rattle of Isis initiates us into the mysteries of sound healing and creation through vibration. If we listen carefully with our inner ear, we can hear the sounds of the Universe alive. Remember, just as your body may naturally wish to dance when you hear a wonderful piece of music with your physical ears, so too when the inner ear of the Soul hears the cosmic tune of the Divine Mother urging growth, healing and greater joy, the Soul wishes to move and our lives change! Trust in the flow, work with your words to bring yourself into alignment with your Soul, remembering that the Soul resonates with love, bliss, abundance, peace, joy and connection with all that is. Focus on these kinds of energies and your words will help you align with your Soul and genuinely feel the peace beneath the changes you are experiencing in your life.

The Veil is Thinning, have you talked to your Ancestors? And a Samhain offering!

Happy Magickal, Marvelous, Mystical, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! How are you? How was the Scorpio New Moon yesterday? Did you give yourself some time to think of 10 wishes, desires, goals you want this glorious time to support you with? The weather here has perked up and I have revelled going out in the sun and playing in the leaves – let alone we had three birthdays to celebrate this last week! (I so love good cake!)

This Thursday we have Samhain (Halloween) and as I have shared before it is one of my favourite celebrations!!!! I mean I seriously love, love, love Halloween (or as I refer to it Samhain, pronounced Sow-een)! I love the costumes, the pumpkin carving – which we did on Saturday and ended up with some very cool pumpkins. I love the crispness of the air in the morning, the smell of wood smoke late at night from chimneys near by, the crunch of the leaves under my boots as I go yomping about. I love having hordes of little people who are dressed as faeries, princesses, warriors, ninjas and a myriad of other delights knocking at the door hollering “Trick or Treat!” When my kids were smaller and would go out with pillow case clutched in hand to gather farrrrrr too many sweeties, their enthusiasm and delight was positively contagious. As the mumma I was also able to impose a “mumma tithe” on the sweeties, so I would receive 10% of all the mini chocolate bars (the mini Mars bar being my favourite!) Nom, nom, nom. Yesterday we all got together as a fam dam, lit a fire, carved pumpkins and celebrated one of my boys (with a massive homemade Greek feast). It was absolutely delicious. I love these moments. Now why do we carve pumpkins? Have you ever wondered? There’s a fabulous Irish myth that you can share with your kids all about The Tale of Stingy Jack and the Jack o Lantern…..

I love that the veil is thinning (and some of you may be saying – Ummm, errr, What?). Halloween was originally a festival celebrating the dead and the world of the supernatural. It was a time of reverence for and contact with the dead. It was also a time to reap the crops that had been sown in the year prior and to prepare for the “dark night of winter.” It is the New Year for many pagans, especially witches (or Wiccans). Samhain was and is a time for reflection on the previous year and what you have done with your life. It is a time of great magick and mystery and reverence for the supernatural and the “other side.” It is considered the time when the “veil between the worlds” is at its thinnest and the dead can-and do-walk among us. Thus, making it easier to communicate with those who are no longer physically here.

Many of you have emailed me asking if there is going to be a Samhain reading special. I have perked it and yes until November 1st I have opened up spots. It’s the perfect time as magick and communication is in the air! Which got me thinking about Ancestors, mine in particular. I have been fortunate to know 4 generations prior to me, some albeit briefly and I have had aunts who have explored our Celtic family and have shared.

However, you may know a name, a date when born, when they died – but who were they? Have you ever thought about who your Ancestors were as a person? What they did, how they felt, what they wished for? I read a phrase the other day “ You are the Faery Tale your Ancestors told.” Breathe that in and think about it. It really hit me as I was having a shower (I know odd, but hey), here I am reaching out to my Ancestors – but in generations to come they will be reaching out to me as I will be the Ancestor. They will be the faery tale I told. What would I like to tell them, and share with them?

When I used to Karma Krew at Enlightened Warrior, one of the sayings that we used a lot was “AHO” as an acknowledgement and in various of the “processes” that would occur in this format of camp often you would hear “aho mitakuye oyasin”, which is a phrase from the Lakota language meaning “I welcome all my relations”, it acknowledges the connection to lineage and to nature. Ancestors. This in turn got me to thinking about when I meditate or when I am out in the woods, what if I were to invite the wisdom, teachings and supportive energy of my Ancestors to be with me, would it make a difference? Well I tried it yesterday out in the woods, and all I can say is it was pretty stupendous. I felt like I had my own special entourage with me, guiding me, whispering words of encouragement and holding me in an energy of love and safety. I highly encourage you to give it a try!

This perking of Ancestors got me to thinking about Belonging. I facilitate a group called Soul Matters and each month we “walk” with a theme through the month, there are amazing spiritual exercises to explore, and we come together and practice deep listening, and deep sharing – this isn’t light or trite or for the faint of heart lol. The theme for this month is “Belonging” – not just about the place you feel you belong to, but more importantly “who and what do you belong to?’ Think about that – who and what do you belong to. In other words, “whose am I?” You are not a single mote floating randomly in the Universe, you are part of the people around you, you are part of your family and I invite you to welcome in that you are part of your Ancestors. Yes?

So as we approach Samhain I invite you to perk about your Ancestors and who do you Belong to and what does that feel like. Willing to play with it?

With Samhain, the veil thinning, Ancestors and Belonging wafting through the air when I went to the cards I grinned like a Cheshire Cat! The cards that chose you this week are The Oracle of the Shapeshifters. If these glorious guides are new to you, let me please introduce them (as that is the polite thing to do)! “These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you. Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone. We change and we change again. These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear. True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract. You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable: You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit. But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you. You are never alone with these beings.” Phew! So there we have it are you ready?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come support are:- Angel Wing Phantom Quartz – fabulous for connecting to your higher self and to attain a sense of tranquility. Carnelian –stabilising, it restores vitality and motivation, and stimulates creativity. It gives courage, promotes positive life choices, dispels apathy and motivates for success. Citrine – attracts wealth, prosperity and success. It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm. Raises self-esteem and self-confidence. And some gorgeous little Calendula flowers wanted to impart their healing – don’t fret – they went in a gorgeous salad afterwards. Nom!!!

So delicious lovely, breathe yourself back into your body. All the way down to your toes and to the tips of your hair. Woosah. Just breathe, gift yourself with these moments. I have included a lovely guided visualisation to really tap into the energy of Ancestors if you feel inclined. As you breathe invite into your minds eye Ancestors and Belonging, let them swirl and guide you. Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that resonate for you. Woosah!

BROTHER RACCOON

Raccoons speak of stealth, remaining undercover, and flying under the radar. Raccoons suggest you take cover, work with camouflage, and stay in the in-between places for a time in order to remain safe. Do not reveal who you are, what you do, or your new idea or project to all. Too often we share what we are planning out loud, giving all, even ourselves, the impression it is already done. It is not.

It needs careful protection, but mostly you need to not draw attention. It does not mean you have to be furtive or sneaky, though some will call it so. It means to quietly get on with your day-to-day and the very soulful business of change without showing everyone every detail along the way. You have far to go – at this early stage it is not advisable to share all. There is a sacred part of you that must be protected, for it could easily be exhausted and exploited by those who will be very quick – even quicker than you – to recognise the value of what you have.

In order to survive, sometimes you must hide, camouflage, or mask yourself from those who would know our true nature and exploit you. Like a precious plant when snow falls, you must go underground, huddle in your seed, and keep quiet and safe from those who would take you and cultivate you and your amazing self for their own reasons. This is not a time to allow yourself to be used by others for their own agendas. Do not think of this hiding or melting into the forest as cowardice; it is wise to go to ground for a time now. In order for ou, your ancestry, your bloodline, and anything cherished and rare to live on, you sometimes must hide it away for a time, brining it forward later so that you flourish.

THE GOLDEN PHOENIX

You are transforming – both internally and externally – and this change is blessed, divine, and guided by your Golden Phoenix guardian. SNAKE PRINCESS

Associated with the goddess, worshipped in the matriarchal cultures of Minoa, and venerated by many people, including the Hopi, the snake is life itself. It is the marriage of the heavens and earth, and it symbolises the union of masculine and feminine. The snake is your spine, your DNA, and your nervous system; it is the ancient serpent kundalini knowledge that has been denied for over two thousand years and now returns.

It may be time for you to carry a staff, a sacred tool around which the snake mother can twine and speak with you. You deserve to let this energy flow into you, for it is the ultimate energy of rebirth. It is time for you to shed the skin of fear and conditioning, yet to use still your own wits. The snake will support your intelligence, and goddess will support your true self-love and acknowledgement. You are about to receive knowledge of healing, of ancient times, of the beauty of what lies beneath – the underworld, with all its wisdom of crystals, minerals, and ancient worlds.

Speak and show who you are. You will not bite. You will grow strong. You will not poison. My home is this tree of the world, where all souls flow from. Your soul is nurtured by my presence and wisdom of the tree. Eat of our fruit. It is your soul nourishment. And do not let the fears and the lies you have been taught be the reason you deny me. You are strong enough. You are worthy enough.

Take some time to imagine your Ancestors, including the ones you don’t know of, and invite them in to support and guide you.
