Taurus New Moon Journal Prompts and Magick.

Jenny Heston · 1:11 pm ·

The Moon transits through Taurus when the lunar sky path crosses the second sector of the Zodiac, which is located in the constellation of Taurus.

When the Moon is in Taurus it’s a good time to escape distractions and sink deeper into the things that ground you.

It brings a sense of peace and calmness and a desire for security and stability.

Now is the time for enjoying the tranquility and comfort of home, good food, and intentional connections with loved ones. It is also a great time to make any aesthetic changes, work in the garden and get back to nature.

Taurus is motivated by a desire for practical, useful results.

Moon journaling each month during the new and full moon helps connect you with these lunar energies. Use these Taurus moon phase journal prompts to help you during these times of transition.

New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon in Taurus only occurs when the Sun sign is also in Taurus, during the end of April into the beginning of May. Spring is in full bloom and love is in the air.

Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus and is focused on comfort, security, harmony, and beauty. Happening close to the festival of Beltane, fertility, and productivity are two of the themes of Taurus. The desire for new growth is strong and the Taurus New Moon helps us get rooted even deeper with our intentions set last month during the Aries New Moon.

The earthy energy of Taurus reminds us to strengthen our practice of grounding and centering. Celebrate spring and the Taurus New Moon by getting connected with the earth.

Be present within your body and really notice what you are feeling, smelling, hearing. This is a good time to ask yourself:

  • What helps me feel grounded and centered?
  • What do I need to feel more stable and secure?
  • What am I willing to face and resolve so I can move forward?
  • What boundaries do I need to set in order to bloom more fully?

Taurus Magic

Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign that supports sensible emotions and renewals. Focus your intentions on money matters, material acquisitions, real estate, and deep love.

This is a good time to practice self-love and nourish your physical body.

Healing rituals for areas of the throat, neck, and ears are also done at this time.

Wellness Mantras:

  • I will love myself fully so that I may fully love others.
  • I am on a path of natural wellness and health.
  • I choose to release what no longer supports or nourishes me.

Enjoy!

5 Questions to Ask Yourself on Beltane

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Beltane is a time to celebrate all the pleasures in being alive.

Your busy, I know, we all are – it’s a cultural thing, lol.

But to take time to absorb the energies of the celebrations, to explore yourself is powerful!

And it makes your soul really happy!

So grab your journal & spend some time in self-reflection at this powerful seasonal time.

Here are  some wonderful questions to ask yourself at this time of year …

  • 1. What is bringing you great joy right now?
  • 2. What currently lights your spirit up? What do you feel inspired to devote your spring energy toward?
  • 3. Do you feel connected with your sexual energy? Do you connect with that side of yourself? How can you connect more deeply with that part of you?
  • 4. What parts of yourself do you feel most confident about? Where do you need to boost your self-confidence?
  • 5. What intentions do you want to plant for the coming weeks & months? What do you hope to grow in your life? What do you want to harvest in the fall?

Seeds of Intention Ritual

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Gather together some small pots, peat pods and seeds of choice (I personally am going to work with herbs),  your journal, paper and a pen and a lovely candle.

Find some time in your day where you have the space to go inward and get really intentional.

Read Code of the Seeds.

Light your candle and take 10 – 20 minutes to write in your journal (or BOS) about the seeds you want to plant with intention, integrity and faith.Ā

What do you want to see thriving, growing and blossoming in your life?

When you’ve completed your writing exercise, take your pieces of paper and write each of these intentions on a separate piece of paper.

Then play in the dirt!Ā Ā

Take one of your intentions and put it at the bottom of your little pot, pour dirt over top and plant your seed of choice.

Whisper a little blessing (AIR) , pat the EARTH gently, give it a luscious drink of water and put it somewhere where the sun can daily kiss it.

Then when you’ve planted as many seeds as you want to, offer up thanks to the Divine, give yourself a huge hug, blow out your candle and have faith that your seeds will flourish as will you.

How did this feel?

What seeds did you plant literally and figuratively?

The Codes of the Seeds

Jenny Heston · 4:09 pm ·

Code of the Seedcs

THE CODES OF THE SEEDS

Seeds must be buried in the darkness before they can bloom into the light.

Seeds cannot even begin to bloom without embracing the fertile void of the winter soil.

Seeds cannot flower without first outgrowing the constraints of the bud.

Seeds cannot bear fruit without releasing their beauty to the earth and letting go of the very thing that captivated others to them.

Seeds come in knowing exactly what to do. Within them they hold the potential of entire forests and rose gardens.

Seeds have within them an intelligent timing that is connected with the intelligence of the entire cosmos.

We are all seeds.

Future forests and gardens waiting to be born.

Each of us holding the codes of a new yet ancient humanity within us.

Change is our natural state.

The Yule Faeries – A Winter Solstice Story.

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Once upon a time, (as that’s how all good stories start), a long time ago there was a wee group of tiny Faeries.Ā Ā

This group of little Faeries huddled in their home deep under the roots of a giant oak tree. They were safe and snug in their tiny underground cave lined with dandelion fluff, bird feathers, and dried moss.

Outside, the wind blew cold and the snow fell softly down to cover the ground. “I saw the Sun King today,” the faerie named Rose said as she pulled her mossy cloak tighter about her. “He looked so old and tired as he walked off through the forest. What is wrong with him?

“The great oak said he’s dying” answered Daffodil.

“Dying? Oh, what will we do now?” Little Meadow Grass started to cry, “If the Sun King dies, our little plant friends will not grow. The Birds will not come and sing again. Everything will be winter forever!” Lilac, Dandelion and Elder Blossom tried to comfort their friend, but they were all very sad. As they huddled together, there was a knock on the tiny door.

“Open up, Faeries,” called out a loud voice. “Why are you hiding instead of joining us in our Solstice celebration?” Rose opened the door and the little gnome Brown Knobby pushed inside, shaking the glistening snowflakes off his brown coat and hat.

“We are too sad to celebrate,” Daffodil said wiping her eyes, “The Sun King is dying, haven’t you heard?”

“He is dead, you silly Faeries.” Brown Knobby’s round dark eyes sparkled with laughter. “Now hurry, or we’ll be late for the celebration!”

“How can you be happy and laugh?!” Elder Blossom stamped her little foot and frowned at the gnome. “If the Sun King IS dead, it will always be winter. We will never see the Sun again!”

“Silly little child-Faeries.” Brown Knobby grabbed Dandelion by the hand and pulled her to her feet. “There is a secret to the Winter Solstice. Don’t you want to know what it is?”

The Faeries looked at him in surprise. “Secret?” they all said. “What secret? We are only new little Faeries, you silly gnome. We’ve never been to a Solstice celebration before.”

“Come and see. Come and see. Get your capes and come with me.” Brown Knobby danced and jigged around the room. “Hurry, Hurry, don’t be slow! To the Sacred Oak Grove through the snow!” He danced out of the door and disappeared.

“What did that gnome mean?” Rose asked as she gathered up her cloak of dried rose petals held together with cobwebs and lined with goose down.

“I don’t know, but the Lady lives in the Sacred Grove.” Meadow Grass pulled on her hat.

“Perhaps if we go to see the Goddess, She can explain what Brown Knobby was talking about”.

The Faeries left their snug little home and trudged off through the snow toward the sacred oak grove. The forest was dark with only the light of the Moon shining down through the thick fir branches and bare limbs of maple and hawthorn. It was very difficult for them to get through the snow because they were very, very small. As they waded through the wet snow and shivered in the cold wind, they met a fox.

“Where are you going, Faeries?” the fox asked.

“To the sacred grove,” they answered, they were cold and shivering.

“Climb on my back and I will take you there swiftly.”

The fox knelt down so the Faeries could climb up. Then he raced off through the dark.

“Listen!” Lilac said as they neared the Grove of Sacred trees. “Someone is singing happy songs. A LOT of someones.”

The beautiful music carried over the cold, still, moonlit air. It was the most beautiful music the Faeries had ever heard. The fox carried the Faeries right to the edge of the stone altar in the center of the grove, then knelt down.

“Look!” said Elder Blossom as they slid to the snow covered ground. “There is the Maiden and the Mother and the OLD Wise Crone, and many other Little People.”

“They are all smiling and happy,” said Lilac as she looked around at all the creatures.

“All the animals are here too,” whispered Dandelion. “Why are they all looking at the Mother?”

The Faeries moved closer to the three Ladies seated on the altar stone. The Mother held a bundle close in Her arms, smiling down at it. The Maiden reached down and took the Faeries gently in her Hands. She held them close to the Mother so they could see what She held.

“A Baby!” the Faeries cried. ” A new little Baby! Look how he glows!”

“He is the newborn Sun King,” said the Maiden, smiling.

“But Brown Knobby and the old oak tree said the Sun King was dead,” the Faeries answered her. “How can this little baby be the Sun King?”

“That is the great secret of the Winter Solstice.” The Old Wise One touched the baby’s cheek with her wrinkled hand. “Every year the Sun King must come to the sacred grove during the darkest days of winter where he dies. I take his spirit to the Mother who gives him new life again. This is the way for all creatures, not just the Sun King.”

” You mean everything lives and dies and lives again? The Faeries looked down in wonder at the baby Sun King, nestled in the arms of the Mother.

” Yes, Little Ones,” answered the Old Wise Crone. “There is never an end to life. This is the great mystical secret of the Winter Solstice.”

The Faeries laughed because they were so happy.

“I think the little Sun King should have gifts,” said Rose. “I will show him where the wild roses bloom in the early summer.”

“And, I will teach him to call the birds and listen to the songs of the wind,” exclaimed Dandelion.

“When he is older and stronger, ” said the Mother, “then the flowers will bloom at his touch, the birds will return to sing their songs, and the air will be warm from his breath, and winter will be gone for a time. Then the Sun King will run and play with you in the forest.”

The little Faeries sang to the Baby Sun King, songs of the coming spring, the sweet smelling flowers, the bumbling bees, and all the secrets of the forest. And all the creatures within the sacred grove sang with them. Then the fox took them back to their snug home under the roots of the giant oak tree where they dreamed wonderful dreams, waiting for the warmth of spring and the fun they would have with the little Sun King.

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. šŸŒ•šŸ©µ

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ wo We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of ā€œnatureā€ we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the SĆdhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other ā€œthin placesā€ at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire šŸ”„ ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place šŸŒ€
