February 20th Weekly Reading

Happy glorious Monday delicious lovely! How has your week been? How are you feeling? For the last few days the temperature here has been incredibly mild and the sun has been beaming and my body is responding – Spring is coming, spring is coming (thank goodness). So I have found myself up before even the birds are, bread made, house spring cleaned, work done to the max and massive purging. Personally, I’m just going with it as I love this kind of energy, (as does my work, my home, but not so much my family as I bounce too much!) Lol.

So with an appreciation that Phil the groundhog said Spring was going to be a while and the fact that Spring Equinox (also called Ostara) is about 4 weeks away, I thought we should exercise our play muscle to gently release us from the hibernation of winter, to slough of anything that is feeling uncomfy and tight and to get us to gloriously stretch a little and create some space to manifest a truck load and bounce into Spring. Thus, this week we are working with a new deck to many, called The Divine Circus, it’s fun, it’s edgy and it is created by the amazing Alana Fairchild (I love her decks.) So let’s go do a little bit of spring clearing. There is a guided visualisation below if you want to really drop in. If not, that’s all good to.

SWEETHEART

You’ve know violence in your life; maybe on the outside, maybe on the inside with a mind that has tortured you with fear, shame, darkness and doubt. Enough of that now. It is time for a gentler way – less pain, more gain. No more torture. It’s your time for sweets and treats.

There is so much violence in the world, and in our own minds, that we can assume this is just the way of the world, that we have to accept it, deal with it, and thereby forget we have the right to question it and even change it, if we so choose. Even the most ambitious desires for healing the world start with us as individuals. We cannot bring more peace to the world if there is violence in our hearts. Regrets, shaming judgements, fear of not being good enough, uncertainty and constant pushing to become more, to do more, to have more, can become the energetic equivalent of beating ourselves up every day. This creates invisible bruises that never have time to heal because we don’t give ourselves the sweetness, kindness and compassion we need to break free from the abusive cycle.

This cycle you are coming to is sweeter, one that is more loving, one that promises new life. But you have to be willing to dispense with the violence, one step at a time. You deserve to give yourself a gentler life journey. Would you accept this for yourself? If there are abusive or toxic relationships in your life, then you’ll need to do some relationship overhauling. No matter how much the people involved may proclaim their love, if underneath it is unhealthy, if a relationship is holding you back rather than helping to lift you up, then reconsider its place in your life.

You can’t taste the sweetness that life wants to bring to you if you are crammed full of stuff you don’t need or want anymore. Create some space. Ready yourself for receiving life’s nectar and believe in the power of your new beginning. You are a true sweetheart of the universe. Let yourself be treated accordingly.

CONFETTI

You will soon have cause for celebration. Whether a big win or a token gain affirming that the best is yet to come, sweet success is headed your way. Prepare to celebrate! It’s time to find the celebratory spirit within. Maybe you already feel it, or maybe it’s the last thing in the world you can imagine feeling right now, but whether it’s on your radar or not, a cause for celebration is imminent.

It’s time to spend your energy in playfulness. If you want more success, happiness and celebration in your life, you can enhance that right now by being happy for the success of others around you. Do you know that success is like a wave? When you genuinely congratulate another and feel happy for their happiness, your own energy field gets a jolt of that same energy. You attract it into your own life. You deserve success for all you are and all you’ve accomplished just as much as anyone else.

So be happy for another – even if a part of you wonders if there is enough to go around, if maybe they have taken your piece of the pie, or if you wonder if their success is really served. Let such thoughts be without adding to their power for thinking such a way. Just take charge and choose how you want to respond. Be happy for them and be happy for you as the universe is giving you notice of a party – and you are most definitely meant to attend – and it’s heading your way.

DEATH SHALL NOT TAKE HIM

You are going to witness the impossible made possible. Whatever you think is lost, is not. Whatever you think cannot be, shall be. The universe is going to intervene and what seems to be over, shall in a new way, live again.

Sometimes, just when you think it’s all over, the eleventh hour comes. You can practically hear the opening chords of your swan song, and when you have finally given up, suddenly, somehow, right before your eyes, everything changes – just like that. You were free-falling and then, suddenly, you are soaring. Fate steps in, destinies are altered and life demonstrates its creative, restorative power, even if all seemed lost.

No matter how defeated you feel, no matter how many dead ends you’ve encountered, how many setbacks, how many failures, no matter how impossible success may seem, the universe has your back and is going to right things in your favour. You will succeed. So if you really must (sigh) doubt for one more moment – go ahead, then replace doubt with trust and participate in the divine defiance of life refusing to be stepped on or crushed. Why not just frigging relax and bear witness to the universe’s impressive display of life-giving power with reverence and delight? Gorgeous one – get out of your own way!

What’s Love got to do with it?

As I wrote that title I envisioned Tina Turner belting out her song by the same name, loud and proud! So let me ask you – what does that song by Tina Turner and Charlie Chaplin have to do with Love? Stick with me and let’s go find out.

With it being Valentine’s Day I thought I would turn my hand to writing about love. Ahhhh, Love. The emotion that can make sane people crazy, and those without it feel lost.

“Sanskrit has 96 words for love; ancient Persian has 80, Greek three, and English only one. This is indicative of the poverty of awareness or emphasis that we give to that tremendously important realm of feeling. Eskimos have 30 words for snow, because it is a life-and-death matter to them to have exact information about the element they live with so intimately. If we had a vocabulary of 30 words for love … we would immediately be richer and more intelligent in this human element so close to our heart. An Eskimo probably would die of clumsiness if he had only one word for snow; we are close to dying of loneliness because we have only one word for love. Of all the Western languages, English may be the most lacking when it comes to feeling.” – Robert Johnson, The Fisher King and the Handless Maiden

It’s so true. The I love you that I say to my kids as I hug them or push back the hair from their foreheads as I kiss them goodnight is very different to the I love you that I tell my gorgeous furry friends as I pet them. The I love you that I say to my soul sisters, who have watched me go to pieces, picked me up and dusted me off, is very different to the I love you that I say to my elderly mother who forgets that we have talked. All of these are gorgeous and I feel blessed, but more importantly is the I love you that I say to myself. Isn’t it selfish to love yourself, shouldn’t you come last on the list and everyone and everything before you? Hell No!

I spent many years not loving myself as I had been indoctrinated by my mother not to and I had fully bought into the story that to do so was narcissistic, selfish, ego centric – this in turn led to making some bad choices in relationships, allowing others to define my worth, allowing others and myself to diminish and hurt me and saying things to myself that I would NEVER say to another human being as they were too cruel, unkind and vile. Thankfully, I have learned differently, I have learned that first and foremost it is vital (yes, I did use that word) to love myself. As the more I love myself the more I can love, help, support and serve others and really show up as ME.

Think of it this way if you will – a piggy bank. There sits an empty piggy bank and daily you start to drop your change into it, now this change doesn’t come in coin form, it comes in gratitude, appreciation, valuing your effort, saying kind things to yourself, kicking the frigging gremlins out of your head or giving them a different project to do to occupy them. Soon your piggy bank is overflowing and you feel frigging amazing. Situations can happen but you realise that yup, that situation may have sucked, you may have messed up but you are still worthy, loveable and valued. You no longer offer yourself up as the victim or the sacrificial lamb for others or your own inner critics to punt around. Instead you own it, learn from it (and sometime in the future will laugh about it) and release it.

So as I was thrilled to come across this poem by Charlie Chaplin. Now if you don’t know who Charlie Chaplin was he was born in 1889 and was a silent film actor/comedian from about 1920 to 1950 and he was iconic for his mustache and his bowler hat. He died 40 years ago. Now this poem really speaks to what self love is and what it isn’t.

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody if I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it “RESPECT”.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it “MATURITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE”.

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it “SIMPLICITY”.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is “MODESTY”.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT”.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART”.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know “THAT IS LIFE”!”

Weekly Reading February 13th

Happy glorious Monday delicious one! Here in the snowy wilds of British Columbia it is Family Day (which is a stat holiday). So we have had a glorious time going hiking in the deep snow and playing, which has been awesome fun! We actually broke all records for snow last week as we received dump, after dump, after dump. I was so glad to see the blue sky, sun shining and no snow falling this morning – as much as I appreciate all the seasons, winter can seem to be a tad too long for me.

How was your full moon/lunar eclipse experience? For quite a few people that I talked to, the energy had been rather intense and left them feeling a bit fractured and discombobulated. This is when it’s important to practice self care, eat well, rest, journal, work with gorgeous crystal energy and drink water! Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and whether you have a sweetie or not, practice self love and as you go about your day smile and radiate out love. The glorious part of doing this is that the love bounces back to you tenfold! How are you going to spend your time tomorrow? I personally have bought a plethora of red carnations, had them all individually wrapped and will gift them to the amazing women in my world that I am thankful for. Oh yes, and all the food at dinner will be heart shaped!

IN THE WORLD, NOT OF THE WORLD

It is safe for you to become naked with life. This doesn’t necessarily mean stripping off and running wild in public. It does mean stripping back your beliefs, strongholds and mental or emotional security blankets so that you can live with less obstruction than ever before. Imagine the conditioning that has kept life away from you, just kept it dropping out of your hands like keys, coins or clocks. Conditioned beliefs about money, time, security, having, locking away, holding and controlling can be surrendered and allowed to fall away. What would it be like to feel as though you were on holiday every day?

Sometimes we need our defences. At other times, it is clear we are outgrowing them. There is something that you have outgrown. It has to do with your ideas about productivity, time, control and money. It has to do with abundance, trust and living with the fundamental belief that everything is going to turn out okay. You are ready to be much more vulnerable and exposed in life. You don’t have to hide behind being organised, perfect, in control or financially secure and stable.

Likewise, you are being stripped of internal beliefs that are failing you, perhaps externally as well. Whether this seems to be your choice or not, make no mistake, it is your own spirit in cahoots with the loving spirit of life that has brought this situation about. You are being guided to trust!

BIG BOLD VISION

You were not born to play a small role in life. You have the ability to dream big. Even if you have absolutely no idea about how your visions can come to pass or what all the details may look like, you can access the heart and guts of a vision by tapping into your wildest dreams and surrendering attachment to exactly how it will all work out. The details are up to the creative genius of the universe. You are an active, contributing participant but not the sole player in your life journey.

You are being asked to remember that when something is right for you, endless synchronicities and support will flow your way, at the right time and in the right way. Stay open, receptive, playful and surrendered. You are about to receive or be invited to become part of, a grand visionary beginning. Trust your heart, be still with your choices and when the time feels right and truthful, leap! Trust in what you perceive.

Even if it conflicts with what everyone else around you is saying or the surface of things, trust your inner perceptions. Trust that things will be coming up roses for you. Even if everything seems to be a bit of a shambles now, it’s really just the essential mess before a truly spectacular success.

SACRED FOOL

The fool is a great rebel, able to thwart convention and tell the truth without restraint. Your heart is a wonderful, powerful, sacred fool! It cares not for the right way to do things. It cares not for what the mind says is real and not real. It lives according to an inner wisdom that cannot be dictated to or controlled by anything. It loves, it lives and it is what is!

It’s time to take your offer to the world. Don’t try to be appropriate, don’t try to be socially acceptable and worry about what others may think – just be. If you want to wear a mad hat whilst doing so, fine.

It’s time to leave behind what has been because it no longer feels right to stay attached to it. Your mind is a monkey puppet on strings. More often than not, it is cajoled into fear when it could be playfully dwelling in the radical spontaneity of life. So, the sacred fool in you urges your mind to let itself be pulled into joy by your heart strings not into fear and doubt by media or anything else. It’s time for you to play.

It’s time for you to let life happen in a completely unreserved, unscripted way. Life wants to operate more radically through you so that you become the conduit through which miracles and crazy wild synchronicity can occur. If you find yourself making choices that have others questioning your sanity, then you are right on course. You are just approaching enlightened awareness. There is a moment – sometimes a rather long one – when we wake up to life, shed our attachment to mass opinion and float in a completely different state of being. Stay on your path, stay on the journey, remember to take nothing too seriously and it will all work out perfectly.

Weekly Reading February 6th.

Happy delicious Monday, gorgeous one! I have to say it’s good to be back, that was one heck of a flu. I get rather grumpy when I’m sick as I normally feel like death warmed over and I rail against all the things that I want to be doing (I have learned to let go of the “should be doing” things). This time I was a lot kinder and gentler with myself (and the other humans around me), and gave myself permission to sleep, to do nothing but heal and to trust that my body knew how to heal itself. Although I did suck back a lot of oil of oregano, goldenseal and echinacea! But it all paid off and I am back to my bouncy energetic self.

Last night we had a huge dump of snow, approximately 2.5 feet, so the schools and colleges were closed as were most of the government agencies and a good half of private businesses, as the roads were brutal. The fun part about all this snow is watching how people step up and help each other – whether it is shoveling out their vehicle, getting over a large snow bank, clearing their sidewalk, everyone seems to pitch in and get er done. But after spending quite a while shovelling snow so that I could get out to my vehicle I am quite enjoying looking at the pristine white that is bedecking the trees, mountains, houses and gardens.

So on this gorgeous snowy day let’s go see what Universal Guidance is waiting for you, for lovely little gem of divine inspiration is inviting you to come play.

I invite you to gently close your eyes down and take a glorious deep breath in, nice and slow through your nose and then a lovely sigh like exhale through your mouth. Keep breathing in this way and see at your heart centre a glorious ball of warm light. Envision this ball of light moving down your body and going out the soles of your feet, down, down, down into the gorgeous molten core of the earth. Feel it click into the gorgeous grounding earth energy and then move itself back up and through your lovely body and out the top of your head. As it moves up, up, up it expands completely around you so that you are standing in the middle of this lovely warm light and feel, as it expands out into the Universe, feel it click into the universal energy – the realm of infinite possibilities. Now that you are connected to earth and Divine, your ball of light moves slowly back to your heart space and gently sits there, nurturing, guiding, healing and loving. With this energy surrounding you, in you and through you, gently open your eyes and trust yourself as you pick the card that calls to you.

Ready to go see?

VISIONS OF LIFE BEYOND DEATH

Sacred vision is awakening within you. You’re becoming blessed with the ability to truly see. To see what is real rather than what appears to be. This is true insight. What was once considered consequential may soon be found to hold little consequence after all. What was once dismissed as an irritation or irrelevance may be seen to have great spiritual significance.

If you have been wondering about your life path or whether you should take action on a project or you need inspiration to really move you out of a slump you have fallen into, then this oracle brings you a message of hope. You will receive your vision. You will be graced with a way out of the stagnancy. You are leaving behind a smaller view for a more expansive one. You are watched over in life and held in protection.

Shift your perspective and look at an issue of concern a little differently. Your ability to be inspired and see the light in all things is unfolding. It must be nourished in your heart with loving acceptance because you are going to help others through your vision, your art and how you choose to be in the world.

GOING BEYOND NORMAL

To rely solely on logic and science, without incorporating the mysterious and magical is a recipe for an existence that is far too dray! There is a time and place for logic, strategy, planning and measurable outcomes. These are not bad tools to have but we must be vigilant not to worship them or allow them to quash our less rational, but equally valuable decision-making tools: intuition, feelings and those things you know, without knowing how you know them! You are being asked to stay open to the intuitive approach in your life, your work, your creativity as well as in your spiritual journey. You are moving outside of the plan and logic! You are living on the border of what is socially accepted. This is good. This is fringe-dwelling freedom. You now have a chance to live from the heart more deeply and expressively than ever before. You can give up forcing or squashing yourself down into a very limited set of so-called desirable qualities like intellect and control.

You are going to be breaking with tradition. Perhaps not entirely but at least in a way that is meaningful to you. This will require you to have courage in your convictions and faith in your heart truths. This will help you inspire others around you to step out of fear and live more freely and lovingly. It’s time to get a bit wild and let nature take its course!

BRING IT INTO FORM

Beautiful dreamer, you can imagine wonderful worlds of light. You can dream up so many possibilities. Now it is time to bring those possibilities of light into the world. They need to be more than ideas. They need to live, to manifest. The world needs not only your dreams, beautiful as they are, but also your creations.

Get thee to thy desk! Thy easel! Thy computer! Create!

You are being asked to honour yourself with a commitment to complete your inspired tasks. This will help you to grow and that is a wonderful reason to commit. But, there is another reason too – you know that your inspired ideas are worth translating into practical forms so that other people can access them and experience something special too.

If you have been thinking about writing a book, painting a picture or acting on an inspiration or idea, then are being told and unequivocal YES! Do it. Now. Don’t dally or dither about the details or worry about how it is all going to work out. The universe loves a bold spirit. Once you take a step, it will rush toward you like an enthusiastic and chivalrous lover – opening doors, hand gently guiding at your lower back – as you are moved forward.

This oracle confirms that the information you need to translate your ideas into form will be provided according to the higher wisdom of life. It may or may not happen by traditional routes. Even if it seems unimaginable, when it is time for something to be born into form, nothing can stop it. It will happen!

Where is my Weekly Reading?

Hello delicious lovely. You may be wondering where the heck your weekly reading is (valid point), so let me explain.

Tis the season for bugs, germs and boogers – need I say more? I was happily sailing through this season being rather cocky and sure that I was staying healthy and bug free. HA! Between people coughing in my face at the grocery store, some chap sneezing in his hand at a meeting and then shaking mine and the ever lovely serving person who sneezed in her hand and then handed me my plate!!! (Elbow pocket, elbow pocket).

I got slammed by a lovely flu, cough, urrgghhhhh WTH bug.

So for the last week I have been living in my pj’s sucking back Goldenseal and Echinacea as if they are going out of style and sleeping lots (although the sleep time is filled with those deliciously bizarre fever induced dreams). I am a firm believer that self care is important and so I have been practicing this.

What does this mean for you?

It means that come next week Weekly Readings will re-commence along with some other crystal delights.
