Walking the Eclipse Gateway: A Threshold into Balance.

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Hello gorgeous soul,

There is so much delicious magickal energy swirling around right now.

We are in the middle of the Eclipse gateway, the Virgo New Moon Eclipse on September 21st and then we have Fall Equinox on the 22nd!  Wowzer,

So grab a cuppa, let’s nestle down and have a wee chat shall we?

First, let me ask – How are you doing in the midst of the Eclipse Gateway?  Lol

I have had lots of feedback and emails from you ranging from WTF to I finally RELEASED it, but now what?

I have also received multiple questions basically saying:

HELP: Is there going to be a Magickal Mabon book this year?  Yes

This year we have the Mabon Magickal Playbook filled with everything to connect you into Fall Equinox and because Equinox is my birthday I am offering it to you 2/3rds off.

HELP are you going to do readings? Yes.

On Equinox I will open 20 spots only with focused seasonal readings for this time, and I will post that invitation next week.

Now back to the Eclipse gateway.

We are in the midst of a Lunar to Solar gateway (and that does make a difference).

When you are walking the Eclipse Gateway between a Lunar Eclipse to a Solar Eclipse, usually there is a theme of release and letting go in order to make space for the new.

Lunar Eclipses have the ability to pull and drag things out of you, almost like the Moon’s gravitational pull helps to draw things out that have been buried deep within.

This “pulling” or “drawing out” energy helps you to release things that are no longer serving you and can bring old thoughts, patterns, and beliefs to the surface in order to be cleared.

As you walk the Eclipse Gateway after a Lunar Eclipse, it is likely you may feel drained and lethargic. You may also feel the need to go within, reflect, and spend time on your own.

Hidden truths and feelings may also come to the surface, and you may have to deal with old wounds that you had pushed away or forgotten about.

Lunar Eclipses always challenge us to dig a little deeper and push a little further so we can create more awareness around our thoughts and habits, and this is something that definitely intensifies as we move through the Gateway.

Lunar Eclipses can also bring endings, and these endings often occur during the Gateway period itself.

As you move closer to the Solar Eclipse, a sense of lightness usually follows, and you may even start to feel space being created in your life.

Ending with a Solar Eclipse indicates that the months ahead are all going to be focused on creating the new and filling this new space in your life with something more positive and aligned.

It also indicates that the months ahead are going to be filled with action and energy, and you are going to be supported to move forward.

Do remember that on the Virgo New Moon Eclipse, this is not the time to set intentions.  It’s more a case of letting the dust settle a bit.

Then the next day is Fall Equinox!  Frigging love this celebration.

During the equinox, the Sun crosses the equator, effectively moving from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere.

What’s truly intriguing is that the equinox delivers almost equal portions of day and night.

This balance of light and dark makes it an extraordinary time for magical practices, as it serves as a liminal space where energies are uniquely harmonized.

It’s like the universe is pausing, giving us a chance to recalibrate.

Traditionally, this period heralds the beginning of harvest season, a time celebrated by agricultural societies with various harvest festivals.

In nature, animals take this as their cue to prep for winter, either hoarding food or commencing their migrations to warmer locales.

If you’re into historical landmarks, you might be fascinated to know that Stonehenge aligns precisely with the Sun’s position during both the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes.

During the equinox, its alignment with the Sun is so precise that it defies coincidence.

Our ancestors knew that this wasn’t just a day; it was a gateway, a moment of potent energy that demanded attention and action for the welfare of the community and the individual alike.

Hence why I created the Mabon Magickal Playbook, she is Sassy, Soulful and Spellbinding (her words, not mine lol).

She invites you to step into the golden glow of Autumn and her playful mystical voice will remind you: balance is sexy, gratitude is powerful, release is sacred.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading shall we?

Take a glorious deep breath out, let all the stale old air just leave your body and at the end of your exhale hold for the count of 3.  Now take a deep breath in and as you fill yourself with this glorious prana energy, invite in the energy of change and release.  Let it swirl through your cells and into your heart space.

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug or entice you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go see shall we?

ACCOUNTABILITY

When we take responsibility for our choices, we gain integrity and the right relationship with ourselves.  Optimally, our decisions are conscious ones made with consideration for the likely consequences for all involved.  However, this is not always the case.

In life, we learn as we go.  As we become aware of a more beneficial way to handle ourselves, others and life, we do so accordingly.  We maximise our chances of this when we remain open to addressing any damage or ill feelings that arise toward ourselves and others.

The refusal to acknowledge our flaws and imperfections that show up in moments of poor discernment and behaviour thwarts our growth and inner harmony.

Life gets easier and infinitely more beautiful and warm, the second we accept that we – like everyone else – are humanly imperfect and that this is perfectly acceptable.

The things we wish we had not done or had approached differently are gifts.

They are necessary for learning how to do things differently going forward.  They are also what make us increasingly compassionate and understanding of others and their actions.  We are not our mistake but what we do with them.  All of our past choices can be used to help us grow into the truth of ourselves.

They help us identify what is aligned with our Spirit Self in the less obvious places.

Accountability is an act of self-love, compassion, and acceptance that benefits all.  However, the most important person to be accountable to is yourself.

It can be helpful to develop the habit of checking in with  yourself each day by asking:  What am I doing and why?  Is this aligned with my values and Spirit Self? If so, proceed.

If not, ask yourself: Is there another way, a way that feels good and true for me to continue, or does this behaviour, thinking, situation, or person need to go?  Do I need the perspective of someone who knows better and is more experienced in this area?

When you are accountable, you stand empowered, confident, and with integrity.

BROKEN DREAMS

We break our dreams when we cease to believe in them and ourselves.

Our attitude toward disappointment, perceived failures, and rejection has the power to derail our confidence.  When a prolonged state of defeat and doubt ensues, we not only give up on our dreams and ourselves but also on what makes us feel alive.

It can be hard, but we need to trust that the way to realise our dreams is by persisting and working with the disappointments as well as any perceived failures or rejections.  Perceived setbacks are often opportunities to learn to think differently, to develop further, and to explore new ways of realising our vision.

When we interpret, and therefore turn, challenges into actual setbacks, it can feel like the world has rejected us.  In response to this feeling, we give up too soon.

The world does not reject us.  It cannot.  Of course, it may feel like it does, but what is more likely to have transpired is that certain individuals, organisations, and opportunities have said no to us for one thing at one point in time.

The world is full of many more individuals, organisations and opportunities if we continue to say yes to ourselves.

To abandon your dreams is to abandon yourself.  There is no need for this.  Explore ways of doing what you love differently.  Being flexible with the way that you go about realising your vision will save you from much unnecessary heartache, regret, lost time, and despair.

Do what makes you feel alive in your life.

Never lose sight of what lights you up and makes your Spirit Self sing.  No matter what.

CIRCLES

Our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and relationship patterns are potentially detrimentally circular when they remain unconscious.

Without acknowledging that we do not know what we are doing or how to get different results, it seems as though the same disappointments, ruts, and detours keep happening to us.  This is because we do not realise our subconscious part in these unwanted reoccurrences.  Nor that we have the power to exit the unmerry-go-round.

If we do nothing different, nothing different happens.  We will only continue to re-enact our default setting automatically.  A life lived in circles inevitably limits what is possible for us.

It can also be particularly harmful when toxic relationships, addiction, or financial dependence is involved.  Awareness of how we perpetuate more of the same is necessary before we can consciously create an upward and outward spiral of life for ourselves.

Circles that spiral downward are the effects of unconscious repetition and confusion.  In this sense, we are the ones who prohibit us from venturing forth upon new ground.  To acknowledge that we do not know what to do about something, we begin to see with increasing clarity, logic, desires and emotions what is confusing and therefore prohibiting us.

Once we can see things for what they are, we can recognise what we can do about them.

There is always more than one way out of any circle.  You are ready to be free and go forth.

Focus your attention on who you are without the loops, fears, distractions, and preoccupations.

In other words, focus on who you would be and what you would do without the problems, drama, impossible lifestyle, or comfort zone you may be circling.

You are your white horse, ever equipped to venture forward.

Wowzer!  Those are some deliciously potent messages for this month and this New Moon.

Sending you big hugs and squeezes, grab  your Mabon Magickal Playbook, keep your eyes peeled for the Equinox reading and remember……

Be kind to yourself, be true to yourself, be honest with yourself.

September is here and the energy has changed. Fall Equinox is coming!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Happy Melodious, Musical, Magickal, Miraculous, Magnetic, Majestic, Manifesting Monday!

September is here, you can smell the difference in the air here.  The mornings are cooler and the geese have started flying and the acorns are dropping like mini grenades as I walk under the Garry Oaks!

I love September (I know for some that sounds weird), but I love the impending Fall, it’s a time of harvest, a gathering together.

The mornings are crisper, the days are still warm, but there is that sense of change.

Kids are going back to school, starting a new class and making new friends.  University starts again and all sorts of courses such as drumming, music, spanish and a myriad of others are offered up.

The lazy, hazy days of summer are winding down and there is a shift in the energy that invites us to try something new (even if you aren’t school age) and to be willing to release the old that may be a tad too tight (like a kids outgrown running shoes).

There is also a sense of melancholy for some people when Fall starts to whisper with her crisp breathe.  The leaves are going to change and then drop from the tree and the days are most certainly getting shorter – and for some this can feel uncomfortable and lonely.  Which I can totally appreciate.

Fall Equinox is almost here (and I love this celebration).  It is known as Mabon and is the second harvest,  beginning of August we celebrated the first harvest festival which was Lammas.

This festival is a time to look at the seeds that you sowed in the Spring, on every level, and reflect on how they have manifested.  Most crops are in and the fields are beginning to look brown and are slowly going to sleep for the winter (unless they are filled with gorgeous orange pumpkins).

This is a time to celebrate the abundance and the harvest, as well as to make plans for the winter and to create community. But we will explore that more over the next couple of weeks.

The energy of September (according to the ever amazing Lena), has changed and it is RATTLING THE CAGE!  (Gulp!)

As Lena shares:-  “

This month we have 2 eclipses and the Equinox making for an intense time of rattling the structures of our foundations of stability, old patterns and anything we may be fiercely attached to. We have heard the phrase, “shaken to awaken” from others and that is exactly the energy of this eclipse time.

The more stubborn the structure, the more intense the rattling and shake up may be.

Some of you may experience traumatic events that open your instinctive center of survival, giving you the opportunity to clear old patterns and dump karmic debris.

And for some of you the rattling may be simply an experience of discomfort in a situation where you receive more clarity about what you really want, leading to better choices in your life. Whatever the case may be, the most important thing is to manage the aftermath proactively so you can use the lessons and guidance of the events to support your own change.

We are unpacking the trigger of the last New Moon in Virgo that prompted a new beginning. While our energy field got the message, the old habits of the personality and the physical body are slow to catch up and need some prompting and reminding of what we don’t want. So stay out of judgment, blame and martyrdom if you find yourself in one of these reminder situations, and know you have created it for yourself to fast track your personal growth and transformation.”

We are in the midst of the Eclipse portal and the invitation to really step into who you are, what you desire, is huge!

Okay, I have chuntered a ton (not a surprise), so let’s crack on with the reading.

When I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide this week, the glorious Faery Forest Oracle were adamant, which made me smile a lot.

“May the wild green world and the wondrous beings of this Faery Forest heal us, inspire us and urge us all to become more who we truly are meant to be.”

Re-read that last line about inspiring and urging us……

Okay, take a moment and come back to your body.  Just breathe yourself back. Allow in your mind’s eye the smell of the Fall air to whisper around you, the sense of the new and possible.  The pieces or desires you have put on the back burner.  Breathe it in, welcome it in.  Sit with it.

And then when you are ready, pick a card or cards.

Ready to pick?

Shall we go look?

SHE WHO LAUGHS

There is within your life now a great heaviness, an earnestness, and a sense of great gravity to nearly every situation unfolding.  Yes, this is of great importance, and yes, there are consequences to consider. But it is time for you to receive the healing power of laughter, the power that lifts the darkness and releases energy that is stagnant, cold, and heavy from our energy field, indeed from our limbs and cells and hearts.

For you, this laughter is as necessary as surgery at this moment, as it will shake loose the cords strapping you tightly to burdens you no longer need to carry.

Let the light break through, and laugh – as without laughter, there can be no perspective, without laughter, there can be no movement forward, without laughter, there can be a sense of deep abiding resentment.  Lift this!! Let She Who Laughs begin to help you seek out moments, people, and situations that stir the sense of the ridiculousness within you, and let the healing and the release of laughter roll through you and lift away the pain at the centre of your being.

Its time is passing.  It will melt away with tears of laughter that fall and cleanse and free you from the past….For now, the sun breaks through, and your eyes shine once again with mirth and joy.

Welcome back to the world of delight, friend.  It’s time.

THE ANCIENT

The Ancient is so old she is almost beyond time.  She is able to speak the truth without compromise – as are you.  She is so old, has experienced so much, learned and taught so many lessons, that she has become powerful and influential, just as you are becoming, too.  So too are you growing older, coming into wisdom. She knows that while others are now going to come to you for advice and guidance, she sees your humanity – your faults and your flaws and your feelings of unworthiness.  She wishes to reassure you.

Others will come to you, seeking knowledge, awaiting a blessing, an initiation, and oblivious to the consequences of the path they wish to walk.  Wisdom, true wisdom, understands complexity, and you have developed this quality. The Ancient is honourable and human, and yet more than human, and she is courageous and has made sacrifices – as have you.  She sees straight through comforting illusions – as do you.

She represents ancient tradition and the challenge of defining the self, yet remaining with a tradition that you value – and this too is one of your challenges.  So take responsibility in your life. You will face the battle of choice, and you will be the antidote to gurus and dominant personalities who claim to have all the answers.  The Ancient recognises the challenge of being a teacher. This immersion in a world to learn the ancient arts and venerate wisdom and old ways can be expressed in many forms, but everything you are now learning has value.  She is the repository for ancient secrets and the contact between worlds. She is wise – and she has learned to consider every word that falls from her lips, even as she longs to call out for freedom.

ASTRILD

When we love, we can gaze directly into the soul of another human being for a while.  This in-love sensation reminds us of who we can truly be when we connect with our own self-love.  We feel complete, adored, and we open wide to the experience. Energy surges through us, we crave the touch of the beloved.

We are, for a time, quite mad.  The love fire has been lit within you, and you are being asked to allow your own self-love to ignite in return.  You are feeling sensual, ready to make love, to explore the boundaries of physical sensation, and you wish reality would simply leave you be for a time so you can fully explore this craving and desire.

About you is the sensation of fulfilment, of satisfaction, and for a time, you will live between the worlds while this powerful experience shakes you to the core.  And all the while, this faery being gazes into your heart, willing you to remember that not only do you love, you are worth loving.

Astrild’s cool green gaze observes the fire within you, and will remind you again and again that to love yourself, and to love another with all of your heart, is a kind of baptism, a blessing, a ritual, and a trial by fire.

Passion is your whole world.  Let the fire embrace you, purify you, and keep walking through the flames of love.

Wowzer, some delicious energy and guidance there!  Enjoy the crispness, the smells, the beginning of the leaves changing and we will explore more of what Fall Equinox brings next week. Also, quite a few of you have contacted me about a reading. I will be opening the doors to those at Equinox.

Have a fabulous week and huge hugs and squeezes!

Journal Prompts for the Corn Moon.

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

Grab your journal, light a candle, pour yourself a nice beverage and under the light of this Full Moon ask yourself the following (without judgement).

What’s the bravest truth you’ve spoken, and what happened after the words left your mouth?

Which parts of yourself feel unshakable, no matter what others say or do?

Where in your life are you mistaking silence for patience?

Recall a moment when you surprised yourself with your own strength. What led up to that moment?

Who or what has been your greatest teacher in self-trust, and why?

What is one truth you have been avoiding, and what would it cost to face it?

What would you attempt if you knew failure was not possible?

Which lessons have been the hardest won, and how have they shaped your identity?

Happy Journaling and Happy Full Moon.

If you want a playful fun ritual to top this off, come try this one!

Bubble Release Ritual.

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

Bubble Release Ritual

This ritual is excellent for helping you embrace the themes of abundance and letting go during the Corn Moon. It’s also an excellent manifestation technique.

Using bubbles as part of your Corn Moon ritual infuses the celebration with lightness, playfulness, and the reminder that life’s moments are temporary.

Create Sacred Space

Gather your bubble-blowing materials and select an outdoor location with open space. Decorate the area with candles, lanterns, or natural elements like leaves and flowers. Ideally, perform the ritual when the Corn Moon’s light is most prominent.

Setting Intentions

Take a moment to reflect on your intentions for the ritual.

What aspects of your life do you want to release? What abundance do you wish to invite?

Release Intention

Hold your bubble wand or tool and take a deep breath. As you exhale, blow a bubble into the air. Visualize the bubble carrying away the intentions you want to release.

Watch as the bubble rises and eventually pops, symbolizing the act of letting go.

Abundance Intention

Now, dip your wand into the bubble solution again. As you blow a bubble this time, visualize it representing abundance and blessings flowing into your life.

Watch the bubble shimmer in the moonlight, representing the beauty of the abundance you invite into your life.

Repetition and Reflection

Continue blowing bubbles with released intentions and abundance intentions, alternating between the two. As you blow each bubble, let go of any attachment to the outcome and trust the flow of the universe.

After you’ve blown bubbles with your intentions and reflected on the symbolism, take a moment to stand in the moonlight.

Close your eyes and feel the energy of the Corn Moon surrounding you.

Express gratitude for the release and abundance you’ve invited into your life.

Virgo New Moon Ritual for Clarity, Health and Harmony.

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

The Virgo New Moon is the perfect time to reset your space, your habits, and your energy.

This year, the Virgo New Moon is September 10/11th (depending on where you are)

Step One:  Light a Flame

Virgo energy loves creating order in the physical world and restoring health in our bodies, minds, and spirits.

This lunar gateway invites us to release clutter—both tangible and energetic—and create fresh patterns that truly support our wellbeing.

If you’ve been craving a sense of clarity, calm, and intentional structure, this ritual will help you align with Virgo’s healing energy and set the stage for a vibrant moon cycle ahead.

Begin by lighting a clean-burning candle in a central location of your home. As the flame flickers to life, take three slow breaths. With each inhale, invite in divine light; with each exhale, release all that no longer serves you.

Call on the Divine—whether you connect with God, Goddess, angels, guides, or the intelligence of the cosmos. Ask for assistance in creating order, harmony, and radiant health in your life. (If you can’t light a candle due to pets, children, or safety reasons, use an LED candle or simply visualize a golden flame glowing at the heart of your home.)

Step Two: Clear Physical Clutter with Intention

Choose a space—big or small—and begin clearing. Even 5 or 10 minutes makes a difference. As you tidy, declutter, or reorganize, repeat inwardly:

“As I clear my space, I clear my body, mind, and spirit. I release all that I no longer need and make way for clarity, health, and joy.”

Donate, recycle, discard, or simply reorganize items as you feel guided. Notice how the energy shifts as you move into the rhythm of clearing. This process is a ritual in itself—an offering to Virgo’s love of order and healing.

(Feel free to clean out just a small area, like your junk drawer or medicine cabinet. I personally will be focusing on my spice cupboard!  As wowzer, it is chaos and I know I have duplicates!

Step Three: Cleanse the Energy of Your Home

Before beginning, open a window or two so the old energy has somewhere to go. Then, employ one or more of the following tools:

1. Selenite Wand

Cleanse your wand first by placing it in sunlight for a few minutes or passing it through sage or incense smoke. Walk counterclockwise through your space, gently waving the wand to absorb and neutralize stagnant energy.

2. Dried Sage Bundle or Palo Santo Stick

Light your sage bundle or Palo Santo stick so it smolders, not burns, and carry a dish or plate beneath it to catch any burning embers. Move counterclockwise through your home, letting the smoke waft through each room. Visualize heaviness lifting and dissolving. When you’re done, fully extinguish the bundle in water or by sealing it in a jar.

3. Rose Water

If you’ve cleared with selenite or herbs, now move clockwise as you mist, infusing the space with sweetness, love, and harmony. If you haven’t cleared with either tool, move counterclockwise with the spray to clear lingering heaviness. Visualize and intend that the air and energy in your home are filled with beauty, order, and peace.

4. Chime or Bell

Stand in the center of each room and ring your chime. Imagine the sound waves sweeping away residue, lifting the vibration, and filling the space with uplifting, sparkling energy.

Step Four: Anchor Your New Moon Intentions

Return to the candle or central location. Place your hands in prayer position at your heart, close your eyes, and breathe deeply.

Bring to mind your Virgo New Moon intentions—especially those related to health, clarity, order, organization, and healing. Feel these intentions as already true.

Feel the harmony, joy, and ease they bring.

Open your palms outward and imagine your intentions radiating through your home as golden light, blessing every room and every corner with fresh, vibrant energy.

Offer gratitude—for the moon, for your home, for the clarity you’re stepping into.

Extinguish the candle, knowing your ritual is complete.

Why This Virgo New Moon Ritual Works

Decluttering your home during the Virgo New Moon doesn’t just create physical order—it creates spiritual spaciousness.

Virgo’s energy helps us align small, everyday actions with greater purpose, so that even simple acts like tidying a drawer or misting with rose water become magical methods of summoning the life you desire.

When your space is clear and your energy is balanced, your intentions have fertile ground in which to grow.

Will you be trying this Virgo New Moon Ritual? Do you have your own favorite tools for space clearing? Share your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear.

There is a particular kind of power that arrives w There is a particular kind of power that arrives when a woman stops asking whether the world finds her acceptable.

She has lived through enough seasons to recognise empty promises, familiar patterns and affection that arrives with conditions. She trusts the discomfort in her stomach. She hears what remains unsaid. She no longer abandons herself to keep others comfortable.

Age has not made her colder. It has made her clearer.

Her boundaries are not bitterness. They are wisdom built from every moment she stayed too long, forgave too quickly or made herself smaller to preserve someone else’s peace.

Like autumn, she no longer performs endless bloom. She understands that life also requires release, rest and the courage to let certain things end.

The older witch does not need to raise her voice to prove her power. She knows when to speak, when to leave and when silence will reveal more than an explanation ever could.

She is still soft where softness is deserved. She is still loving where love is returned. But she is no longer willing to disguise her strength to appear harmless.

Autumn belongs to her. It is the season that understands a woman can be changing, ageing and letting go and still be the most powerful version of herself.

When it comes to my home and the sacred space wher When it comes to my home and the sacred space where my family lives, I don’t mess around. 🧿

10 ways I give the energy a little eviction notice (especially on Sundays):

1. Open those windows. 🪟
Give that energy an exit. Sweep the air toward the windows with your hands, a feather, your whole witchy self.

2. Blast some mf music. 🎶
Sing your little heart out. Dance. Clap. Ring a bell. This house has been holding everyone’s shit. Let it shake some off.

3. Let your kitchen do the witching. 🌿
Oranges, rosemary, cloves, cinnamon, a little moon water. Put a simmer pot on. Make it smell like a witch lives here.

4. Salt, baby. 🧂
Little bowls in the corners overnight. Set your intention, then toss the salt in the morning. Thank you for your service. Goodbye.

5. Say that shit OUT LOUD. 📢
“Anything that doesn’t belong here needs to leave.” Call on God, your guides, your ancestors. You don’t have to do this alone.

6. Mop with a mission. 🧹
Bless your bucket. Name what you’re washing away. Imagine the heaviness leaving. Congratulations, your chores are now a ritual.

7. Give your mirrors a talking-to. 🪞
Wipe them down with intention. Think of the versions of you that stood there. “We’re releasing what we don’t need to carry anymore, babe.”

8. Put your doors on witchy security duty. 🚪
A bell, a wind chime, a protective crystal above the frame. We’re particular about what gets invited in.

9. Get yourself some bay leaves. 🍃
Tuck them on windowsills, add them to your simmer pot, or write what you’re releasing on one. Tiny leaf. Big assignment.

10. Invite the good stuff back in. 🙏🏻
Clear with rosemary or cedar, then welcome prayer, laughter, a scent you love. My Clear the Air ritual spray is part of mine. 🤍

Grief lives in our homes, too.

I’m not clearing out the love, the memories, or every trace of someone I miss. 🤍

Some days, I just need to open a window, cry while I mop, and feel like I can breathe in my own home again.

Samhain is coming! My most favourite celebration o Samhain is coming! My most favourite celebration of the year. Whoot! 🖤🎃

As a kid, I loved the sweeties and dressing up, but was scared of the dark—and most certainly of death.

Still here for the sweeties, dressing up, and carving me a cool pumpkin, though! Some things don’t change. 😉

It’s easy to think of yourself as a good man. The It’s easy to think of yourself as a good man. The harder question is: who are you when it’s just you and the boys?

When the joke crosses the line.
When the group chat turns ugly.
When a woman is being degraded.
When you know something is wrong.

Do you speak up, even if it costs you your place in the group?

Because women cannot be in every room asking men to respect us.

Men have to demand it from each other.

So I’m asking men: when was the last time you called out another man?

Don’t just teach your sons not to hurt women. Teach them not to stand silently beside men who do.
Summer is letting go. 🍂 Can you feel it? The lig Summer is letting go. 🍂

Can you feel it?

The light has changed. The evenings are arriving earlier. Leaves are turning, birds are gathering and Nature is beginning that slow, delicious turn inward.

Then on September 26th comes the Harvest Full Moon. 🌕

And maybe she’s not asking:

What’s next?

Maybe she’s asking:

What is already ripe?

What has quietly grown in you this season?

What are you ready to gather?

And what might you finally be ready to let fall?

I’ve written a new Harvest Moon piece through my Seasonal Lens, with journal prompts and one of my favourite slightly ridiculous rituals.

It involves bubbles.

Of course it bloody does. 😂🫧
