New Moon

Chinese New Year – Let’s Welcome in the Wood Dragon……..and so much more!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Majestic, Mellow, Momentous, Mystical, Merry, Mischievous, Marmalade Made Manifesting Monday! Ā

(Had to slip Marmalade in as for me marmalade on a glorious piece of fresh bread toasted – nom, nom, nom!)

Okay delicious lovely, grab a cuppa as we have lots to cover this week!

We are talking about the energy of February, which is about ā€œBuilding the Foundation”.  (And if you remember January was all about creating your Vision.)  On February 9th we have the Aquarius New Moon, and the next day on the 10th we say goodbye to the Year of the Rabbit and welcome in the auspicious Year of the Wood Dragon!

Now, I don’t know about you but I am super pumped about all that is transpiring.Ā

I have been dancing with my vision (which is rock solid clear) and putting the finishing touches to a collaborative programme with the wonderful Lisa Wolfe. Ā And on Chinese New Year, we will open up applications to join The Numinous Circle, an incredible 9 month container.Ā Ā

I’ve also finalised the Mastery and Manifestation 3 month container, as well as mapped out 12 amazing Master Classes for the year!Ā  And last but not least there is a Sacred Site retreat coming in the Fall of this year! And changes happening in The Creatrix Circle – phew.

So can you say Hell Yes!Ā  – as I am.

I have been dancing with Vision and Foundation to the nth degree, as I am most certainly a Dragon and I am stepping forth loud and fucking proud!

So what does Building the Foundation mean? Let’s let Lena explain that one:

ā€œWhen creating a new structure, a good strong foundation is a necessary first step in the process. When we are dreaming up and envisioning the end-result, the foundation is not what we usually focus on in our vision. However, if you don’t have a solid foundation, you don’t have a solid structure.

January was focused on having a vision and making a plan. Now it is time to commit to the vision and the plan and follow through with building the foundation for your vision to manifest.

This foundation is not a literal one but rather an energetic one that includes your body, mind and spirit, as well as parts of your physical environment that support who you are.ā€

This monthly energy theme, ties into the Aquarius New Moon energy.

This Aquarius New Moon invites you to look at your feelings of security and what makes you feel secure and safe so you can really thrive in this world.Ā

If we look at where these feelings of security and comfort are in our own bodies, we can begin to see a link between how small or large our life is.

The more confident, secure, and safe we feel, the more likely we are to expand our wings, take chances, and live more fully. The less confident, secure, or safe we feel, the more likely we will play it small.

So lots of stuff, especially around freedom or lack of, sense of tribe and community or lack of, and feeling of hope, prosperity and expansion, or lack of may come up.Ā

Thus, harness both the monthly energy and the moon energy (yet alone the Dragon energy, which we will get to in a moment), to make some changes.Ā Ā

Changes that stick and allow you to tap into your inner warrior, learn, study, grow – whatever you need to.

Now for my most favourite piece – The Year of the Wood Dragon.

Interestingly enough in my family, all the females for 8 generations are Dragons.Ā  None of the males.Ā Ā

Think about it, Dragon only happens once every twelve years and somewhere amidst that calculation the women chose to embody that energy!Ā  Muhahaha.Ā Ā

So what does the Wood Dragon year bring to you?

Dragon is the only animal in the Chinese zodiac that is not of the mundane earthly world. It has the highest vision and broadest reach – they soar the highest and furthest. It’s a year to look beyond the confines and to dream big, to envision the future we want. Getting clarity on our purpose or mission is essential.

Dragon years are considered very auspicious. Symbolizing power, inner strength and courage, this is a year to actively step into our power and nobility and allow our gifts, talents and true medicine to shine out.Ā

Authenticity is key and is of the highest vibration. We are asked to believe in ourselves, to remember who we are, to find our own authentic story and not anyone else’s.

The exalted Dragon insists on raising the standards, set your goals high for it’s time to really step up.

ā€œWood energy allows us to grow, expand, and keep our vision on track for the long term. The Season of Spring is connected to the element of Wood, so this year of the Dragon will help us to create new beginnings, plant new seeds, and allow our garden to flourish.

The energy is ripe for new beginnings and undergoing new ventures, but we have to create stability and work from the heart.

Green is connected to the element of wood and the heart-chakra, so in the year of the Dragon, we are going to be constantly reminded to come back to the heart, and to open ourselves to receiving.ā€

Oh my giddy aunt.Ā  Do you see how all these delicious energies this month fold together?Ā  And how they all weave with the 8 energy of this year?Ā  (For those ofĀ  you who chose an Opening the Door reading you will really know what I’m talking about!)

So there we have it honey.  I hope you brought a cuppa and did take time to read, as this is the time to finally make the changes you have talked about sweets.

Enough chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading.

These are glorious new guides who insisted on coming to play, which was most interesting as they have been with me for 6 months.

Thus, let me introduce you – These are the wardens to help you deepen into your self-awareness, especially in relation to nature.Ā  These are the stewards and the guardians.Ā  They are here to guide you, protectĀ  you as much as you are called to do the same for them.Ā  Allow the natural world to weave into your day to day, open your eyes to what surrounds you and open your heart to receiving.Ā Ā Ā Ā

So my darling one, take a moment to just breathe.  Just let the energy of Foundation, Clarity and Expansiveness fill your body and your mind.  Allow your inner light and spark to rise up to meet it and meld with it.  See you Vision, allow it to wrap around you like a glorious blanket and make you smile.

Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Ready to meet your new guides?

THE BOAR AND THE PUMPKIN

Confidence

With their winding vines and large, heavily seeded fruit pumpkins signify abundance, health, and resilience.

But think of the pumpkin – each one is full of seeds, all carrying the seed of potential and creation.

Meanwhile, the fierce and intelligent boar is known for its sharp tusks and aggressive movements.

The boar invites you to step into the place  of Strength and Power,

Boars are associated with strength, power, and resilience. Their robust and fearless nature symbolise the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles.

So what happens when we combine pumpkin with boar?

It’s time to claim your confidence.  Embrace who you are and what you know and allow any insults of attempts to damage your morale to roll off your back.

You are thick skinned like a pumpkin and courageous like a boar.

Ask yourself:

What accomplishments am I proud of?

How can I improve my confidence and sense of worth?

THE DEER AND THE OAT

Healing

The shy and gentle fallow deer is known for its white spots and the broad, velvety antlers it sheds and regrows each year.

Deer bring in the energy of gentleness, innocence, and a peaceful nature.  Deer also invite  you into vigilance.

Not OCD vigilance, but the attention that needs to be paid to the boundaries around you and what you are allowing in.  Thus, encouraging you to stay attuned to your surroundings and inner self.

Similarly, oats are symbols of restorative nutrition.

Even in poor soil, oats can flourish, providing hearty sustenance.

You are being invited to rest and recharge.

Moderation and mindfulness are key as you recover from any trauma or a period of intense exertion.

Ask yourself:

How do I rest and recharge?

What practices nourish my soul?

THE PORCUPINE AND ANEMONE

Boundaries

The porcupine, with its impressive quills, is a well-known symbol of self-defense

According to a legend common among the Anishinaabe tribes, the porcupine got its quills by placing the branches of a hawthorn tree on its back, defending itself against the bear.

Nanabozho – the trickster spirit in Ojibwe myth – saw the porcupine’s cleverness and fashioned it a coat of quills to wear from then on.

Just as the porcupine curls into a ball to defend itself from predators, the anemone flower turns inward and down during rainstorms, protecting its delicate petals from damage.

You can’t help others unless you first help yourself.

Maintain healthy boundaries around your time and energy, giving generously only once you are sufficiently fed.

Ask yourself:

How can I ensure my needs are met?

Have I established healthy boundaries around my time and energy?

Do I respect the boundaries of others?

Wowzers!Ā  Oh my gosh, I love these guides and they tie in so well!Ā  Which one did you pick, or did you go for all?Ā  Sending you big hugs gorgeous one, please, please step all the way into these energies and come dance with me in the field of infinite possibilities.Ā  Your being, your light, your heart is needed!

Canadian Thanksgiving, Friday the 13th, Libra New Moon Eclipse! I love October!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 am ·

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvellous, Magnetic, Merry, Mystical, Manifesting Monday!!

Here in Canada it is our Thanksgiving weekend.  I hadn’t planned to do a reading this weekend, but I was given a firm nudge from my guides, so here we are!

So let’s go explore Thanksgiving, Friday the 13th and the Libra Moon Eclipse!

Thanksgiving is a glorious time for me filled with amazing memories, great food, great friends and family and it really brings to the forefront to remember all the things to be grateful for and to celebrate life!

I personally had an amazing weekend.  I went on a full day jaunt to a wee little island called Saturna, which I had never been to.  Why?  I had been asked to marry a wonderful couple, and  we had co-created such an amazing ceremony together, their vows were said over a huge pile of rose quartz.  It was magickal!  And as it takes a while to get there and get back (ferries) I had the opportunity to fit in some lovely hiking and exploring with a friend and the doggos.

Which in turn meant I wasn’t feeling impelled to cook a massive Thanksgiving dinner the next day and voila!  One of my boys offered to do the whole thing and host the whole fam damily, so it worked out perfectly.  And the food was fabulous!

So Friday the 13th in October – yes please!

It makes me laugh how Friday the 13th gets such a bad rap.  That it is a bad luck day, that awful things will happen and all the rest of that bullshit!

If we research why it got such a bad rap, it most likely comes from the Christian Tradition as at the Last Supper there was Jesus and 12 apostles (thus 13), Judas—a person who is said to have betrayed Jesus—was the 13th guest at the Last Supper. Also in the Bible, many unfortunate things happened on Fridays.

However, I suggest we take it back to its original meaning!

Friday the 13th is associated with various aspects of the feminine, including goddesses and the moon.

Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess, a day to worship the Divine Feminine. This association highlights the reverence for feminine energies and principles.

The 13th day often falls in the middle of the moon cycle, representing the midway point between death and rebirth. It’s a time associated with transition and change, echoing the cyclical nature of the moon.

Friday is named after Freya, a goddess, and is symbolically connected to Venus, epitomising feminine energy. This energy is believed to be particularly strong on Fridays, including Friday the 13th.

There are 13 phases of the moon in a year, which symbolise the divine feminine. This concept is not only present in astrology but has historical significance as well.

In summary, Friday the 13th has deep connections to goddesses, the moon, and the celebration of feminine energy, representing a day that embraces the Divine Feminine and its cycles.

See where I’m going with this?

The day after Friday the 13th we have the glorious Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse!

The Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse falls on October 14, and is the second Eclipse in the Aries-Libra cycle that we will be working with over the coming years.

As this Eclipse cycle is relatively new, many seeds are still being planted. We may not be able to wrap our heads around exactly the journey this Eclipse cycle will take us on, and it may feel harder to see the bigger picture.

On a collective scale, the Aries-Libra Eclipse cycle is triggering our connections, intimacy, relationships, and how we choose to show up in them. It is also working on our feelings of inner strength and confidence, reminding us that we each possess what is necessary to lead the best life possible.

On a New Moon, energy is drawn within, and we are guided to connect with our deeper truth. What is really important to us? What do we desire? How are we feeling?

By connecting with our inner world, we can unlock a new level of understanding, not just about who we are, but where we are going. We may feel new ideas bubbling or start to gain a sense of what we wish to put out into the world.

New Moons are fantastic times to set intentions, but under a New Moon Solar Eclipse, the energies are a lot stronger. With these strong energies, we can indeed set some very, very powerful intentions. What we put out into the Universe will be magnified and strong. However, as the Eclipse energies are so powerful, there is actually more magic to be found in the surrender.

This means that rather than controlling the narrative, we surrender to the Universe. We allow ourselves to flow, trusting that whatever comes our way will be exactly what we need for our current state of consciousness.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading.  When I asked the decks who wanted to show up this week I laughed my soxs off when I saw it was The Divine Circus Oracle.

ā€œWhat is life if not a Divine Circus?  Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us  moments earlier.  Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary.  It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd. ā€œ

Thus, I invite you to breathe and just BE with your gorgeous self here at this moment.  Take a few lovely, rich, nourishing breaths and let the cares of the moment slide off like wee little raindrops.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

If you need some help and support releasing the ā€œshouldsā€, the weight of energy around you I have a lovely guided visualisation for you.  It’s fun, we are going on an exploration!

Did you remember to pick?

Ready to go have a look?

DARK HARLEQUIN

Bells are ringing from deep inside.  Something that once had to hide is seeking your attention.  It wants out!  It wants to be free!  As you release what was once shut away, your discomfort shall turn to glee.

You are a spiritual adventurer!  You are not afraid to go to the edge of what you know, of who you have believed yourself to be.  Even when before you there lies the darkness of unknown worlds, of undiscovered parts of you, even when you feel uncertainty, discomfort or doubt, you are still willing to figure out what it’s all about,

So you’ve come to a place in you, and in your life, where you don’t know.  You don’t know what’s happening.  You don’t know how to work through it.  You don’t know who you are (well, not all of who you are).  You don’t know what you don’t know.  You are at the point of not knowing because you are growing. There will be surprises.  There will be discoveries.  You’ll feel awkward at times, like you are trying to see in the dark.

Don’t be afraid to let there be some inner rattling and rampaging.  You are at a time when you are naturally diving into the darkness for a healing purpose.  So ask the difficult questions.  Do things you wouldn’t normally do.  Experiment with thinking in ways you wouldn’t normally think.

Be willing to let everything change for the better by first letting go of how things are now.  The messier your inner world seems to be right now, the more you can expect complete and utter transformation as a new order comes into form.  Expect the unexpected, for you were born to grow into what is happening now.

It’s time to let the wild thing out!

THE PROUD PIERETTE

If you were proud of who you are and everything you have learned in your life, free from shame, guilt or judgement, what would you choose for yourself today?  The choices you make for yourself from a place of feeling good are going to be more loving and helpful than anything from a place of self-judgement.

You’ve nothing to regret, you’ve learned a lot and you are a beautiful unique being on a wild divine journey.  Be kind to yourself.  Keep your head up!  Then it will be easier to keep growing and glowing.

Dear wild one, have you felt like you’ve lost your footing? Got a bit clumsy? Made a mistake? Have you been second-guessing your choices?  Don’t you dare doubt you!  Be proud of all you’ve done and how far you’ve come.  Never be ashamed of who you are, or the journey you’ve taken.

If you feel that life is getting you down, or you should have, or could have, made different decisions in life – be reassured, you are doing a great job!  You are meant to have learning experiences.  What matters is that you choose to learn.  And you do!  In your own time and your own way, you make sense of things, and you grow wiser and stronger as a person.

If you feel any ridicule, judgement or shaming is coming from those around you – trust you are stronger and wilder and more beautiful and true than any of that mean-spirited fearfulness.  Let the mud that is being slung slide right off or remain stuck in the hands of those throwing it your way.  Keep your sense of inner dignity intact.  Never make yourself smaller to placate the fear in another’s heart.  Take pride in who you are.

Be proud to be you!  And know that this is a way to respect and honour the creative loving power of the universe that created you!

MEANT FOR YOU

You’ve voiced your intent, setting in motion a natural creative process.  What you want has been summoned forth and is now headed your way.  Don’t hesitate, refuse to receive, or pass this gift on to another.  It is meant for you.  Grab it!  Within this new opportunity is exactly what you have been waiting for….what you have been wanting to create, what truly makes your heart sing.

What is rightfully yours is – or very soon will be – right in front of you.  Caught up in a spiralling wave of new beginnings, it is time to reach out and grab what is headed your way.  Opportunity is the universe believing in you.  Return the compliment by accepting what is being offered with open arms and a trusting heart.  You’ll be glad you did.

Don’t worry if this opportunity seems to be leading you down a different path to what you expected.  All paths lead us to where we need to be.  Sometimes the universe just has a better idea of what will get us to our destination at the perfect time, and along the pathway that will be of most benefit to all.  Trust what is happening.  Accept that you deserve good things to happen to you, and don’t be shy.

Now is your time to step up, open your mouth (and your arms) and say, ā€œThank you!  I accept!ā€

What a glorious reading for this Canadian Thanksgiving and New Moon Eclipse.  I invite you to use the energy of this day to really focus on all the people, places, situations and things that you are grateful for and to release and surrender those that don’t serve you.  Don’t forget to write down your New Moon wishes and remember – there’s magick everywhere, guidance and love everywhere.  Have a glorious week and see you next Monday.  Huge hugs and squeezes.

Recapitulation, Release, New Moon and Watch Your Language!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Happy Merry, Marvellous, Magickal, Mysterious, Majestic, Manifesting Monday!

Holy Hannah, it feels like a hot minute since we last communicated and it has been and here we are in September!Ā  And lo and behold the energy of September is Recapitulation – Release! Then toss on the energy of this New Moon which is change!

I will give you a heads up, this is a rather long post – so if that doesn’t interest you – skip to the cards.

So as you all know, I took the month of August to step back, work on some amazing creative projects, design two new courses, spend time with my British family who were bringing my sister’s ashes over so we could scatter them together and I kept saying out loud ā€œAnd feel all the feels!ā€

Little did I realise what that would mean and how much I would make the Goddess laugh by telling her my carefully manicured plans.

Nor, how she would show me exactly the depths she wanted me to excavate and release, as she created the perfect storm that I couldn’t run from!  Gulp!

The last weekend of July is what I call my Fi (sister) weekend, as on the 28th was her birthday and on the 31st was when she took her last breath.  So it’s a lovely, but vulnerable place to dance in, to feel, to remember, to laugh and to cry.

During that weekend two incredibly unpleasant things happened, one with the two remaining family of origin members and one with a close friend.  Okay, I can suck those up (as I have big shoulders), but unbeknownst to me it started creating the perfect storm in my body and my mind.

August 1st I sat down with all my coloured pens and pencils and mapped out my whole month.  The courses, the creations, the book outline, the writing, the family time and the ceremony – you name it, as I like to be organised and have a plan (little did I know the Goddess was laughing her fucking soxs off whilst she watched!)

The next day with my glorious mapped out calendar next to me, I woke up in a full state of panic!  No rhyme, no reason, but pure panic.  I don’t mean panic attack, as an attack subsides, I mean a pure state of unadulterated panic that wouldn’t let up, wouldn’t calm down and my heart rate was about 160 bpm, and in the process threw my heart out of rhythm.  In other words it threw my heart into Atrial fibrillation (which I didn’t know at the time).

This went on for 9 days and brought me to my knees, literally and figuratively.

I became like a T Rex – don’t look at me, don’t touch me, don’t talk to me and everything was too loud, too bright and too sharp.

I was running from the panic and watching my life become smaller and smaller as all the things I loved to do – being out in nature, walking the doggos, sitting and writing were impossible. I thought I was losing my frigging mind, but boy oh boy, I was feeling all the feels!

As someone who has worked in the therapy field and spiritual field for years, I had an incredible tool box and I was using every single tool I could think of.  Vagus nerve work, tapping, supplements, prayer, meditation, you name it I tried it.  Nothing.  Nadda.

I felt so incredibly vulnerable, confused, scared and all the fucking feels!

It was only when I stopped and turned around and faced the panic and invited in the wisdom and the lessons, which meant peeling the onion back down to the core and looking at my family of origin.  Then writing for 5 hours straight and pouring it all out, crying non stop  with snot bubbles everywhere and seeing the old, old, old trauma that had been activated that things started to calm somewhat and by the next day my heart had gone back into rhythm.

But yet there were more ECG’s, blood work (none of which I am a fan of) and doctors telling me ā€œhow do you know it’s gone back into rhythm?ā€  Mmmm, because I am in this fucking body!

I am a firm believer in ā€œour issues are in our tissuesā€, and we hold things we don’t remember or have chosen to suppress until the body says – no, we need to release this piece.  And then there’s no choice.

I’m also a firm believer that we hold old, old traumas deep inside and when the perfect storm is created they come out with a vengeance as they need to be acknowledged, seen, listened to and loved.

You may disagree with this, and that’s okay.

Why am I sharing this with you?

I believe we all experience things that bring us to our knees and facing them, talking about them is important.  Realising we aren’t alone is vital in this world.   Asking for help is important and sharing is important, it builds relationships, connections and community with depth, vulnerability and strength.

So many lessons have come out of August, with this experience, the ceremony for my sister’s ashes, having all my plans side railed.  But you know what – they are all deep, rich, glorious lessons that have me in change mode!  Changing my work, how I work, my life, relationships and disconnecting from my family of origin.

Plus with the energy of September being Recapitulation – Release, it’s the perfect time!

So let’s Lena share what that phrase actually means, shall we?

ā€œRecapitulation is a recapture, remembrance, and retelling of experiences, choices, actions and relationships from the past in order to digest, neutralise and file them away without any residual emotional charge. The release is the act of letting go of any attachment to the emotional content of the past event or memory.

This includes nostalgic reminiscences of ā€œgood timesā€ as well as reminders of traumatic or uncomfortable experiences we would rather forget. What is being recapitulated usually holds some degree of judgement or comparison, with the attachment to how we have defined it holding the memory hostage until it is released with a good deep sigh into neutral territory.

Why is this coming up now? We are in major preparation (and have been for a while) for a time marked by a crisis that could initiate a turning point where choices and decisions have a long lasting and powerful influence over our spiritual and emotional evolution. Part of this preparation is to go inward to reflect on where we have been and where we wish to go. This process is being supported by material from the past flowing through our conscious and unconscious fields much like snippets from a film, a frame here and a frame there. In order to move forward we need to deal with the past.ā€

We have the Virgo New Moon arriving on September 14th (Thursday) and we also have 6 planets in retrograde.  So if you have been feeling a tad stuck in the mud or that certain situations are at a standstill, don’t fret!

This New Moon prepares us for Change!

This Virgo New Moon is the last before the Equinox and before Eclipse Season begins, which means it sets the foundation for the changes that are destined to come. While we will still very much feel the stagnation from all the retrograde activity, this New Moon acts as a turning point, lighting a path to help release us from the old.

Virgo is a grounded earth sign that is represented by the Virgin Goddess, which is a symbol of wholeness, inner divinity, and sovereignty.

The Virgin Goddess that rules Virgo is not attached to anyone, in charge of her own life, and fully connected to the divine power that lives within her.

We can use the energies of the Virgin Goddess to guide us through this New Moon time, and to remind ourselves that everything we need is within. No matter what happens, the Virgin Goddess knows she will be ok. She knows that she will find the strength, wisdom, and knowledge to move through whatever comes her way.

So with all that being said, let’s carry on with the reading shall we?

Take a glorious deep breath out, let all the stale old air just leave your body and at the end of your exhale hold for the count of 3.  Now take a deep breath in and as you fill yourself with this glorious prana energy, invite in the energy of change and release.  Let it swirl through your cells and into your heart space.

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug or entice you.

Did you remember to pick?

Come have a look.

ACCOUNTABILITY

When we take responsibility for our choices, we gain integrity and the right relationship with ourselves.  Optimally, our decisions are conscious ones made with consideration for the likely consequences for all involved.  However, this is not always the case.

In life, we learn as we go.  As we become aware of a more beneficial way to handle ourselves, others and life, we do so accordingly.  We maximise our chances of this when we remain open to addressing any damage or ill feelings that arise toward ourselves and others.

The refusal to acknowledge our flaws and imperfections that show up in moments of poor discernment and behaviour thwarts our growth and inner harmony.

Life gets easier and infinitely more beautiful and warm, the second we accept that we – like everyone else – are humanly imperfect and that this is perfectly acceptable.

The things we wish we had not done or had approached differently are gifts.

They are necessary for learning how to do things differently going forward.  They are also what make us increasingly compassionate and understanding of others and their actions.  We are not our mistake but what we do with them.  All of our past choices can be used to help us grow into the truth of ourselves.

They help us identify what is aligned with our Spirit Self in the less obvious places.

Accountability is an act of self-love, compassion, and acceptance that benefits all.  However, the most important person to be accountable to is yourself.  It can be helpful to develop the habit of checking in with  yourself each day by asking:  What am I doing and why?  Is this aligned with my values and Spirit Self? If so, proceed.  If not, ask yourself: Is there another way, a way that feels good and true for me to continue, or does this behaviour, thinking, situation, or person need to go?  Do I need the perspective of someone who knows better and is more experienced in this area?

When you are accountable, you stand empowered, confident, and with integrity.

BROKEN DREAMS

We break our dreams when we cease to believe in them and ourselves.

Our attitude toward disappointment, perceived failures, and rejection has the power to derail our confidence.  When a prolonged state of defeat and doubt ensues, we not only give up on our dreams and ourselves but also on what makes us feel alive.

It can be hard, but we need to trust that the way to realise our dreams is by persisting and working with the disappointments as well as any perceived failures or rejections.  Perceived setbacks are often opportunities to learn to think differently, to develop further, and to explore new ways of realising our vision.

When we interpret, and therefore turn, challenges into actual setbacks, it can feel like the world has rejected us.  In response to this feeling, we give up too soon.

The world does not reject us.  It cannot.  Of course, it may feel like it does, but what is more likely to have transpired is that certain individuals, organisations, and opportunities have said no to us for one thing at one point in time.

The world is full of many more individuals, organisations and opportunities if we continue to say yes to ourselves.

To abandon your dreams is to abandon yourself.  There is no need for this.  Explore ways of doing what you love differently.  Being flexible with the way that you go about realising your vision will save you from much unnecessary heartache, regret, lost time, and despair.

Do what makes you feel alive in your life.

Never lose sight of what lights you up and makes your Spirit Self sing.  No matter what.

CIRCLES

Our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and relationship patterns are potentially detrimentally circular when they remain unconscious.

Without acknowledging that we do not know what we are doing or how to get different results, it seems as though the same disappointments, ruts, and detours keep happening to us.  This is because we do not realise our subconscious part in these unwanted reoccurrences.  Nor that we have the power to exit the unmerry-go-round.

If we do nothing different, nothing different happens.  We will only continue to re-enact our default setting automatically.  A life lived in circles inevitably limits what is possible for us.

It can also be particularly harmful when toxic relationships, addiction, or financial dependence is involved.  Awareness of how we perpetuate more of the same is necessary before we can consciously create an upward and outward spiral of life for ourselves.

Circles that spiral downward are the effects of unconscious repetition and confusion.  In this sense, we are the ones who prohibit us from venturing forth upon new ground.  To acknowledge that we do not know what to do about something, we begin to see with increasing clarity, logic, desires and emotions what is confusing and therefore prohibiting us.

Once we can see things for what they are, we can recognise what we can do about them.

There is always more than one way out of any circle.  You are ready to be free and go forth.

Focus your attention on who you are without the loops, fears, distractions, and preoccupations.

In other words, focus on who you would be and what you would do without the problems, drama, impossible lifestyle, or comfort zone you may be circling.

You are your white horse, ever equipped to venture forward.

Wowzer!  Those are some deliciously potent messages for this month and this New Moon.

Sending you big hugs and squeezes and yes, there will be an Equinox guide coming out later this week.  Be kind to yourself, be true to yourself, be honest with yourself.

Cancer New Moon – What do You Want and How Do You Nourish Yourself?

Jenny Heston · 4:14 pm ·

Happy Moodling, Magickal, Moist, Musing, Manifesting, Marvellous Monday!

It is so ridiculously hot here again, and I’m not a huge fan at all! It makes me feel like a crabby, wilting wallflower! And when I hear people say ā€œclimate change is not a thingā€, I just want to bop them on the nose!

Anyhow, we have lots to cover, so grab a cool beverage honey, find a shady spot and let’s go explore how this Cancer New Moon ties in with the energy shift of July, and what on earth that means for you!

First let’s talk about the July energy shift.

The theme for July is: ā€œWhat do YOU want, and can you HAVE it?ā€. (Have you asked yourself those questions?)

As Lena shares:Ā  ā€œThere are big energetic changes this month supporting the need to engage your will, good boundaries and positive action steps leading you closer to your essence goals. This may require more letting go of old invalid programs of cultural imprint as well as the courage to step forward into a new landscape.

The question of ā€œwhat do YOU wantā€ should be a daily exercise of contemplation and truth telling.

Stay out of reaction and judgement especially if your choices are taking you away from a situation you feel you have been putting up with for a long time. Do not blame or feel victimised but rather experience gratitude for the clarity and freedom you have to move forward.ā€

So hold that question in your mind okay?

Now let’s look at this New Moon.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon and brings the qualities of nourishing oneself and others, the Divine Mother (maternal) energy, comfort and self care.  The turning inwards to find answers and to care for oneself.

Yet, so often this energy gets directed to others and not oneself.

Ask yourself: Do you feel stable and secure in yourself?  Are  you able to comfort and soothe yourself back to a state of balance?

As let’s be honest, after 3 years of a pandemic I am witnessing a lot of nervous systems that are on hyper vigilance, with anxiety, stress as the side dish.

So with this Cancer New Moon when you make any intentions I highly encourage you to  see if you can craft your intentions and ideas from a place of inner trust.

ā€œThis requires us to go within, to sit with ourselves, and to direct the vision of our lives from a place of inner knowing and intuition. The answers may not come to us right away, but practising patience is part of this process.

Creating intentions from a place of inner knowing is about flowing with the process and knowing that the right inspiration and answers will come when they are ready. This process requires surrender and a lot of faith, but ease tends to follow when we give over to it.ā€

Now do you see how the July energy of What do You Want, and this deep, rich inward energy of the Cancer New Moon fold in together?

Play with it over the next few days, take some time to get clear about what you want.  Not from a ā€œthinkingā€ place, but the well spring of your soul and emotions.  Yes?

Make your intentions from there!

Okay, I have chuntered, lol (when don’t I?)

Let’s crack on with the reading.

Now if these guides are new to you, let me introduce them!

At the edge of the mind awaits the holy wilderness of the soul.  It beckons you, like a great forest filled with vast mysteries and wonders.  While this mystical realm exists in a higher dimension, beyond normal reality, it is real nevertheless.  To enter this mystical realm, it’s simply a matter of having an open heart and an open mind.

In this healing and holy place, long-sought answers to your deepest questions become known.  Ancient wisdom emerges.  Revelations about your future are revealed.  Hidden talents and abilities are activated with you.  It’s a place where miracles unfold, and your spirit can fly.  In the deepest sense you remember who you are.

Take a moment to just chill the fuck out (pardon the language if that offends), and breathe.  Give yourself a moment or two to play with the ideas of ā€œWhat Do You Want?ā€ and ā€œWhat are the Intentions from my Soul?ā€

Allow those to swirl, meld and create a glorious collage and from that place – pick the card or cards that tug at you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look shall we?

FROG SPIRIT

Renewal

Darling one, it’s never too late to begin again.

If your past was less than successful, remember this – what has occurred does not need to mandate what will occur.  You can start out fresh and new.

However, if you do what you have always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.

In order to reboot your life, you need to do things in a different way.

The frog’s three stages of development (egg, tadpole, fully formed amphibian) symbolise renewal, resurrection, and transformation.

Allow Frog Spirit to flow through you and be willing to release any preconceived notions of how life should unfold.

This is a time to be adaptable.  Be willing to change, and allow the abundance and good fortune that’s waiting for you to flow to you like the water that nourishes the glorious Frog!

FIRE SPIRIT

Energy

Darling one, take action!

This is not the time to hold back in life!  Do not repress what you feel or allow yourself to be drained by others.  If you strive to meet everyone’s expectations and fulfil the needs of others, but forget to honour your own needs, your energy field becomes depleted and dull.

Break free of your constraints, whether self-inflicted or imposed on you by others.

Allow the summer sun to fill you and your radiant heart with verve and passion.  Give your emotions free rein.  Waves of energy will surge through you as you spontaneously express yourself.

However, running on your own resources can be depleting.  Allow the Creatrix to flow through you.  Be open to receiving, knowing that you don’t have to do it all yourself.  This replenishes your soul and supports you in accessing enormous amounts of energy.

The power of Fire spirit is renowned.

One of the four primal elements, it traditionally represents transformation, passion, zeal, enthusiasm, creativity and activation.  Let the energy of fire inspire action and movement for you now.

Ignite your inner fire.  Speak your truth and let the light of the Creatrix surge through you.

SECRET SPRING

Success

Sweetie, all things are possible!

The more you honour and celebrate the success that you already have, the more success pours into your life.  And the more you feel it, the more love, prosperity, fame and all the rest of it, you will have.

Act as if – and feel as if – you are wildly successful, and even more success will develop.

Accept that you are already thriving – you are – and the more wonderment will emerge.

If a situation seems to knock you down, get up, and take a moment to explore what you learned….and then keep going.

In Celtic tradition, secret springs were magical.

Allow success to flow into your life.  Allow the vitality and glowing renewal of  your body to occur.

Now is the time to take action in support of your dreams.

There is no need to struggle.

The Creatrix has your back!

Mmmmm Yes!Ā  Glorious guides for this delicious energy!Ā  Wishing you a stupendous week. Ā  Stay cool, drink water, do things that soothe and nourish you, ask yourself ā€œWhat do I want?ā€and remember – you are a glorious spark of the Divine or you wouldn’t be here!Ā  Big hugs and squeezes!

Get Outside, Get Grounded and say Hello to the Taurus New Moon.

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Musing, Merry, Manifesting, Magnetic May Monday!

How are you most delicious lovely?  How are you juggling the delightful energies of May?

So many of you, and various friends, have shared that it feels very much like you are in a blender and being spun and scrambled.  I loved my friend Lisa’s description – ā€œIt feels like someone has taken a chopstick to my brain and stirred it all up.ā€

I totally get it, what with being in the midst of an intense Eclipse Portal, with a side of Mercury retro – no shit! But the bonus news is Mercury went direct yesterday! Whoot!

But to top off the delicious energies, the weather is doing wonky things and the heat has cranked up here.

It’s Hawt, Hawt, Hawt.

We have an unprecedented heat wave in effect which is meant to break records all over the place – blaugh!

Now, I don’t know about you but the heat makes me wilt, and rather crotchety and all in all, I’m not a supreme fan – Spring and Fall are my favourite seasons.Ā Ā

Yes, I do like a warmish summer day, and a cute sundress (with pockets), but not when it is so hot that it’s impossible to hang out in the sun.  Grumble, grumble.

However, my garden loves it and things are popping up like mad, veggies, wildflowers, herbs, it makes me super happy.

I had plans with the boys on Mother’s Day to go play mini golf in the afternoon, but when I saw the temperature it was a quick change of plans.

They very kindly agreed to get up at 6am so we could go beachcombing, driftwood gathering (for faery homes) and shell finding.

It was divine.

Grounding, calm, fun and relaxed and oh so quiet as most humans were still in bed (thanks guys for getting up so early).

I love exploring all the various landscapes that surround where I live.  The various beaches that are all different, the forests, the garry oak ecosystems, the meadows, the mountains.  You name it!

I find it soul soothing and oh so wonderfully rejuvenating and nourishing.

With an Aries Moon in my chart my favourite self care and nourishment is to be outdoors in Nature and have a fabulous picnic somewhere after a glorious exploration.

I’m not a ā€œHang out in a bubble bath and read a bookā€ kinda gal.

This week, on Friday the 19th we welcome the New Moon in Taurus and with that comes delicious grounding energy.

Take a moment and think about the image of Taurus.

It’s a great big bull/ox with a huge solid body mass and all four feet connected to the earth.

Grounding at its finest, or maybe I should say – most solid!

ā€œTake a deep breath. Inhale through your nose and exhale out of your mouth, letting out a sigh. Almost like a sigh of relief. Feel the weight releasing from your chest and shoulders. Perhaps unclench your jaw or stretch your arms out. Settle into your being and soak in the wisdom the Taurus New Moon brings…

The Taurus New Moon on May 19, 2023, holds a grounding vibration, allowing us to rebalance our being and reconnect to a state of ease. We have been through much since the last lunar cycle and now we are given a moment to pause.

While this pause will give us a chance to centre ourselves, there is also some high-powered energy flowing through at the time of this New Moon, activating our Solar Plexus Chakra and inviting us to reconnect with our power.ā€

Taurus is a sign associated with stability and security, and that is exactly what is on offer under this New Moon. How can you create more security in your life? What steps can you take to feel more stable and secure in yourself?

Issues that crop up around the time of this New Moon may very well be linked to subconscious feelings of insecurity or a lack of self-worth. Pay attention to anything uncomfortable that arises at this time, and see if your insecurities may be playing a role.

So to give you some food for thought I have some lovely journal prompts for you and a wee bit of Taurus Magic to soothe your body.

Okay, enough chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading shall we?

When I asked the cards who wanted to come and share, these glorious guides were front and centre!

So in case  you have never met them, let me introduce you – and if you have met them before, let me reintroduce you (as not to do so is rude!).  ā€œYou have a sacred destiny; we all do.  There is a powerful and profound reason that you are here on the planet.  However, sometimes it may be difficult to understand what that reason is and perceive what is required on your journey into the future.  It may be a challenge to know what the next step in life should be.  This is the time to call upon the energy of nature and majesty of the natural world to provide answers to the heartfelt yearnings of your soul.  In ancient traditions, shamans, medicine women, witches, visionaries, and prophets all accessed hallowed knowledge by observing their natural environment.  These wise beings stepped through mystic gateways into inner realms to bring back meaning to the seemingly random event of life. ā€œ

Perfect!

I invite you to just pause, to be still, to allow the swirling energies or your mind chatter to gently slow down as your breath leads the way.  Then invite into your mind’s eye, the image of the bull.  Solid, grounded, earthed, connected.  Then ask your wise inner self – what do you need to know to feel that kind of connection?

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go look, shall we?

STILLNESS

Frozen Tundra

The tundra is a stark and severe landscape found in both the southern and northern hemispheres.  It is usually bereft of most plant and animal life, and can only support very low-growing plants such as mosses and lichen.

The soil is frozen year-round, so it is impossible for trees to grow in that barren landscape.  In the winter, the landscape is very cold and dark, and wild winds surge across the desolation.

Even in the summer, the land remains frozen, although the surface can be soggy and covered with lakes, marshes, ponds, and bogs that become havens for millions of migrating

So what is the message in this landscape?

Take a step back from a project, situation, or relationship, even if for just a few moments.

Mend bridges.  Slow down.  Breathe.  Be Still.  Go within.  Listen to your inner voice.

Take time to connect with your spirit guides, ancestors, and spiritual guardians.  Listen to your higher self.

Timing is everything.

This is not a good time to start a new cycle.  Wait.  Incubate.  Fix things that need fixing.  Heal things that need healing, and think things through.

Most importantly Forgive yourself and others (forgiveness truly given is a powerful tool).

If things seem barren, or even bleak, or the energy is flat, hold on.

Just as the migrating birds find new life in the tundra marshes in the summer, you too will expand once again during the coming thaw in your life.

HEALING CHAOS

Spiralling Tornado

Energy in our Universe spirals.  Water spirals in the wake of the fish that swims through the stream.  Air spirals in the wake of a bird in flight.  The moon spirals around the earth, which spirals around the sun, which spirals around the galaxy.

Even our DNA is a spiral.  It is the healing principle of life.

It’s not an accident that the ancient symbol for healing is the caduceus: two spiralling serpents.

It is the sacred spiral.

Most people assume that there is nothing good that comes from tornados, but every part of nature has value.

For example, although some birds lose their habitat from a tornado, birds such as the prairie warbler, whippoorwill, woodpecker, grouse, and woodcock, as well as forest salamanders, all benefit from the new landscape created by tornadoes.

Downed trees provide habitat for black bears and white tailed deer and create dens for many kinds of animals.

Tornadoes churn up the soil in ways that rejuvenate the earth.

So what is this landscape sharing with you?

When you pick Healing Chaos you are acknowledging potential chaos (or the need for chaos) as an activator for profound healing.

If your life seems chaotic, know that it has an underlying energy of healing.  You are being healed on all levels.  You are a healer.

However, if your life is calm to the point of being stagnant, it might be time to create a bit of chaos in your life.  It will really activate healing, shift and glorious new energy.

Do the unexpected.  Mix life up a bit.

EMBRACING

Floodplains

A floodplain is a naturally occurring phenomenon in which the land adjacent to a river floods out to far banks of the surrounding land during times of high water.

Land that is normally dry may be underwater for a period of time.

When this occurs, silt, sand, and nutrients are deposited.  For this reason, floodplains are often areas of great fertility as well as rich ecosystems.  They are excellent areas for lush, abundant crops.

It is a natural occurrence that allows life in all areas to thrive.

So what do you believe this landscape is saying to you?

Sometimes life overflows with emotions, which can feel uncomfortable.  (As water is very much associated with emotions).  However, the ensuing result of this discomfort can be of great value, perhaps arising from an unseen or unknown source.

Do you feel your emotions are overflowing, or not flowing at all?

Cherish the overflow of emotions, and embrace the times that seem murky, for your inner floodplains are being replenished, and as a result, there will be massive spiritual and physical expansion.

Embrace all your emotions;  don’t judge them.  After all, when we look at the word e-motion, it is energy in motion and needs to flow.

When you embrace all your emotions; greater prosperity and fertility can flow into your life.

If your emotions have been blocked, now is the time to explore them, feel into them, and experience them so they can move and flow like the water.

Woosah!  Wow, those are amazing messages for getting grounded, don’t you agree?  Wishing you a stupendous week, take time to ground, root and get outside!  There won’t be a reading next week (I don’t believe lol) as it is a long weekend here and I plan on playing and getting outdoors.  Massive hugs and squeezes and be kind with yourself.

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. šŸŒ•šŸ©µ

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ wo We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of ā€œnatureā€ we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.

That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the SĆdhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other ā€œthin placesā€ at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire šŸ”„ ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place šŸŒ€
