The Buck Moon: Grow Wild, Take Up Space & Feed What Matters!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

Can you feel it? There is something growing in the dark.

The Buck Moon rises on Wednesday, July 29, carrying an energy of nourishment, strength, healthy boundaries and unapologetic expansion. She reaches her fullest at 7:35 a.m. here on the West Coast, so look for her glowing beautifully on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

July’s full moon takes her name from the male deer—the buck—whose new antlers are growing rapidly at this time of year. What begins as something tender, covered in soft velvet, will eventually become strong enough to protect him, establish his place and carry him through the season ahead.

But those antlers cannot grow from nothing.

Their size and strength depend upon what is available to nourish the buck: rain, rich soil, abundant plants and a healthy habitat. If nourishment is scarce, growth is limited.

Nature, as she so often does, makes the lesson gloriously clear:

You cannot continually deprive yourself and still expect yourself to flourish.

You cannot run on crumbs—crumbs of rest, crumbs of affection, crumbs of joy, crumbs of time—and then wonder why you feel depleted. Nor can you pour all your energy into everybody else’s garden while your own quietly wilts in the corner.

The Buck Moon asks you to look honestly at what you are feeding.

Are you nourishing the dreams that make your whole being light up? Are you strengthening the relationships that strengthen you in return? Are you investing time, care and energy in your own gorgeous life—or are your needs forever being shuffled to the bottom of the list?

Because you are not an afterthought.

And taking up space does not mean pushing anyone else out of the way. It means no longer folding yourself into smaller and smaller shapes to make everyone around you comfortable. It means allowing your voice to be heard, your boundaries to be honoured and your gifts to be visible.

It means standing in your own patch of sunlight and saying:

I belong here too.

Growing Into Your Power

There is a lovely difference between forcing yourself to become someone else and allowing yourself to grow more fully into who you already are.

The buck does not spend the summer anxiously comparing his antlers with those of every other deer in the forest. He does not wake at three in the morning convinced that his rack should be bigger, more impressive or further along.

He eats. He rests. He moves through the forest. He trusts the ancient intelligence of his body and the rhythm of the season.

Meanwhile, we humans are often flapping about, attempting to bloom, harvest, heal, launch seventeen new projects and completely reinvent ourselves before lunchtime.

The Buck Moon reminds us that meaningful growth is not built through frantic striving. It is created through nourishment, attention and repeated small choices.

We grow into our power through practice, not perfection.

Every time you honour a boundary, you grow stronger.

Every time you choose what nourishes you rather than what merely distracts you, you grow clearer.

Every time you speak honestly, rest without apologising, learn something new or devote time to what genuinely matters, you strengthen the foundations of your future.

A meaningful life is not created all at once.

It is grown—one choice, one threshold and one season at a time.

What Are You Feeding?

Full moons illuminate. They bring things into view—including the things we have been cheerfully avoiding while hoping they might wander off by themselves.

This moon may reveal where your energy has become scattered. You might notice too many half-fed projects, obligations that no longer belong to you or relationships that continually consume your attention without offering anything nourishing in return.

This is not an invitation to judge yourself or begin hacking wildly at your life with an energetic machete.

It is an invitation to pause.

What matters most now?

What deserves more of your care?

What dream, relationship, skill or part of yourself is ready to be nourished properly?

And what smaller distractions can be released so that your deeper priorities have room to grow?

You do not need to do everything. In fact, trying to do everything is often the fastest route to accomplishing very little—except becoming impressively tired and slightly stabby.

Choose what matters. Feed it well. Give it time.

A Simple Buck Moon Ritual

On Tuesday or Wednesday evening, find a quiet place beneath the moon—or near a window where you can feel connected to her light.

You will need:

  • A candle
  • A small bowl of water
  • A leaf, sprig of rosemary or something gathered respectfully from nature
  • Your journal and a pen

Light your candle and place the bowl of water beside it. Hold your leaf or herb and take several slow breaths.

Imagine yourself standing in a summer forest. Beneath you is rich soil; around you, life is growing in every direction. You do not need to chase your strength. You are already rooted within it.

Ask yourself:

What within me is asking to be nourished?

Where am I ready to take up more space?

What boundary will protect what I am growing?

What distraction or obligation am I willing to release?

What would it look like to live more fully this season?

Write without overthinking or attempting to make your answers sound sensible. Let what is true come forward.

When you are finished, dip your fingers into the water and gently touch your forehead, heart and hands.

You might say:

May my thoughts nourish what matters.
May my heart remember what is true.
May my hands help create the life I am ready to live.

Place the leaf or herb somewhere meaningful for the next few days. When the ritual feels complete, return it to the earth with gratitude.

Want to Go a Little Deeper?

If the Buck Moon has illuminated something within you—and you want to explore it with pen, paper and perhaps a cuppa—I have created a collection of Buck Moon journal prompts for you.

They will help you explore nourishment, boundaries, taking up space and the glorious strength that is already growing within you.

Take your time with them. You do not need to answer everything at once. Choose the question that tugs at your sleeve, pour yourself something lovely and see what wants to be revealed.

And Lughnasadh Is Coming…

Just a few days after the Buck Moon, we reach Lughnasadh on August 1st—the first of the three traditional harvest celebrations on the Wheel of the Year.

It is a threshold of gratitude, abundance, sacrifice and harvest. A time to notice what has ripened, what our labour has created and what must be gathered before the season begins to turn.

But we will sink our hands deeply into that particular magick in a separate post later this week.

For now, let the Buck Moon show you what is still growing.

Let her illuminate the places where you have been surviving on crumbs. Let her remind you that nourishment is not selfish, boundaries are not punishment and taking up space is not something you need to earn.

Your life is growing around you.

Feed what matters.

Protect what is tender.

And allow yourself to become gloriously, visibly, unmistakably more of who you have always been.

Boundaries, Blossoming & Not Playing Small!

Jenny Heston · 11:11 am ·

Gorgeous Soul

The last Monday in March!  Time is doing some very interesting things for sure!

Holy hannah, I will say March zippity doo dad past with incredible speed.  One moment it felt like it was the beginning of March, then it was Equinox and poof – gone!  Did you feel the same?

Many of you have shared with me that you are feeling the surge of Spring energy, the creation, the planting of intentional seeds – however are also feeling a tad overwhelmed with the energies that are chaotically swirling right now.

I totally get it.

So let’s start with talking about Boundaries, shall we?

Did you shudder when I said Boundaries?

There are all sorts of  boundaries that we work with every day.  Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Financial, Intellectual, Spiritual and Energetic.

I think of boundaries as this glorious field of energy around me that has the capacity of osmosis, it lets in the delicious, yummy, healing stuff and becomes like a steel wall when shit is creeping in.

I will be honest, I am very clear about what I allow through my boundaries whether it is through media, family, friends, random interactions, people I spend time with and even the clients that I choose to work with.

Boundaries are about healthy choices.

Boundaries are you getting clear on what is okay for you, what you need, and what you desire.

Is that selfish?  Fuck no!  It’s healthy as long as they aren’t reactive (note that word).

Knowing your values, owning your piece in any interaction you have and being clear about your boundaries up front is actually a refreshing gift for most of us intuitives and empaths (to be honest).  It’s something I teach in one of my courses.

Boundaries embrace all aspects of you and yes, sometimes that means a chapter needs to close as it’s not healthy but insecurities and stories keep you stuck in it.

Okay, so now we have boundaries gently talked about, let’s move onto the glorious Full Moon (Pink Moon) that happens on Wednesday, April 1st (April Fools day and just before Easter).

The Libra Full Moon arrives on the 1st of April, helping us to clear a pathway into the fiery, motivating, and action-fuelled energy that the month brings.

April holds some of the most motivating and fast-moving energy we have seen in a while. We have zero planets in retrograde, and lots of fiery energy pushing us to get things done, set goals, and go after our dreams.

This productive energy is likely to infuse its way into all of our lives throughout the month, but the Full Moon offers us a gentle pause, a Release Point

Arriving at the start of the month, the Full Moon offers a release point so we can make room for the fertile, fiery energy to flow. It asks us to clear and release all that feels heavy, all that is no longer serving us, and all that needs to fall away so we can move forward with greater ease and intention.

What is holding you down or keeping you stuck and limited? It’s time to have a clear-cut conversation with yourself and take decisive action.

This is not a time to hold yourself back, play small, or remain in indecision. The time has come to make a choice, once and for all. The time has come to be clear about what you want and intentional with your actions, your energy, and how you are spending your time.

(Note the energy of boundaries…..)

Then we have Easter, which I love – there are inflatable bunnies in my neighbourhood!

When my kids were smaller we would do a massive egg hunt all through the house, the property and up into the parks, I loved their joy of finding those wee chocolate eggs wrapped in glorious foil.

There was one time, a few years ago,  I had set the hunt up (which meant getting up at 4am to do it)!

It wended through the house, the gardens and up into a glorious park space with cliffs and alcoves.  They barrelled out with baskets in hand and found every frigging choccie egg and then as we were clambering towards home they saw someone sleeping under a tarp.

I was curious about what they would do, and left it up to them.

They paused, and then in quiet collaboration they gently left a massive pile of choccie eggs outside the top of the tarp and when they got home they all sat in a circle, poured the eggs out and shared them up equally.

Have to say, it made my heart sing.

However, sometimes family gatherings at celebration times don’t have that energy.

Uncle Tom, who can be a sarcastic asshole, comes.  Auntie Jean who is so critical about the food is invited and though you mean well, we may not thoroughly enjoy it.  It can feel like a chore or an obligation.

I invite you to play with the energy of boundaries, who you are, what you want and why you want it and to use your voice with compassion but truth.

So with all that being said, let’s crack on with the reading.

The guides that decided to come and play are the glorious guides of the Sacred Forest.

Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as not to do so would be rude!)

At the edge of the mind awaits the holy wilderness of the soul.  It beckons you, like a great forest filled with vast mysteries and wonders.  While this mystical realm exists in a higher dimension, beyond normal reality, it is real nevertheless.  To enter this mystical realm, it’s simply a matter of having an open heart and an open mind.

In this healing and holy place, long-sought answers to your deepest questions become known.  Ancient wisdom emerges.  Revelations about your future are revealed.  Hidden talents and abilities are activated with you.  It’s a place where miracles unfold, and your spirit can fly.

In the deepest sense you remember who you are.

So my dear one, just close your eyes and allow the delicious energy of this Full Moon and boundaries to swirl around you. Then when you are ready, pick the card of cards that call to you.

Did you remember to pick?

Come take a peek.

BEAR SPIRIT

Healing

You can sense the presence of the bear, even before you see him.

You turn slowly and look deep into his eyes, as a long lineage of healers – invisible, yet real – step out from beyond the trees and surround you both.  When you reach out and touch his thick fur, you feel healing energy instantly surge through you.

When the Bear Spirit appears healing on all levels is occurring, and it can come in many forms.  Be ready to accept it.  Know as well that you are a healing force for others.

You may not even be aware that you are a conduit for healing energy, but when others thank you, simply say, “You’re welcome,” even if you don’t know how it happened.

In many native traditions, Bear Spirit is thought to be aligned with humans, as he can walk upright like a human.  He represents the healer and “good medicine”.  He also bestows healing powers to those worthy.  You indeed are worthy.

Bear Spirit energy can also represent grounding, strength, and confidence.  It activates a stable foundation to face whatever challenges appear in your life.

You are a healer, whether with your words, your hands, your ability to listen and a channel for the life force of the Universe.

You are strong and grounded.

Healing is unfolding and/or a situation is being resolved.

Have faith that all is well.

DAFFODIL FAIRY

New Beginnings

You feel a tap on your shoulder, and in a flash of yellow, you see a Daffodil Fairy fly by you.  In a high, sweet voice she says, “The best is yet to be!  It’s time for a new beginning!”  With glee, you race after her into the forest.

Life goes in cycles.  Just as spring follows winter, a new cycle is beginning in your life.  In the phases of the earth, the plants die in the fall so that there can be new birth in the spring – it’s the universal dance of death and rebirth.

There’s a time to end and begin, and this is the close of one cycle and the beginning of another.

We associate the daffodil with spring, as it is one of the first flowers to emerge after the snows.  Its shape echoes the feeling of trumpeting in the new season; its colour suggests vitality, radiance, and sunshine.

It’s time to wipe the slate clean; it’s time to release the old and start again.

It can be difficult to release familiar routines, situations, or relationships when they no longer empower you; however, your higher self encourages you to not cling to the old, but set sail into new waters.

If you find yourself afraid to let go, you are urged to face your fear and allow yourself to stretch in a new direction.

The Creatrix is at your side, and wonderful opportunities will be born in your life.  Wholeness occurs when you can say yes to both endings and beginnings.

It’s time to start a new project or a new cycle.  Life force and vitality are emerging.  Release that which doesn’t serve and support you.

Make way for a new start! Success is at hand!

STAG SPIRIT

Leadership

A majestic stag stands atop a mossy knoll.  His nobility and grace are palpable.  You can see fog form around his nostrils with his every exhalation.  He does not need to announce his might.  Simply and utterly, he is powerful without words or proclamation.

In many traditions, the elusive and mysterious white stag is considered king of the forest.  With his noble antlers and his proud stance, he carries a commanding energy.  This card is calling you to claim leadership of your life.  Now is the time to step out of the shadows and become a beacon for others.  Don’t allow anyone or anything to dim your light.

You may be asked to take on a position of authority.  Even if you have been in the background in the past, this is your time to step up and shine.

Remember that a leader isn’t necessarily defined by age, status, or income.  A true leader is someone who is commanding, passionate, and motivating.  They have a vision and are able to make decisions with clarity and strength.

The greatest leaders are those who know how to serve and act as stepping stones for others to reach their dreams.  You empower others simply by being who you are…and who you are is enough.  Are you willing to step into the light and be a leader for others?

You inspire others to greater heights.  Step into leadership in your life.  You are a beacon for others.  Shine in your own life.  Be gentle with yourself and others; however, do not play small.

Take action.  This is your time.  Step up.

Woosah (yes, I say that a lot as that’s the energy that floods in).  Happy Monday, have a glorious week and remember to evaluate your boundaries, be clear and spend some time with this glorious Full Moon.  And if you celebrate Easter.  Have a hippity, hoppity time.  I am going to kayak, and play in my garden – so see you in two weeks.   Massive hugs.

Welcome to 2025, and Today’s Wolf Moon!

Jenny Heston · 11:11 am ·

Dearest Gentle Reader,

We are slowly, quietly, calmly entering into 2025, and all that it portends!

How are you most delicious lovely?  It feels like we haven’t connected for ages, but in reflection it has only been a few weeks!  And I will say I spent those couple of weeks facilitating The Omen Days (which is such a glorious way to enter a new year), and all the amazing women who participated really blew my hair back!

Welcome to 2025.

I would love to tell you this will be a gentle year, but it’s going to be intense!

While our numerology points to a year of endings, astrologically, we are shown that all endings pave the way for new beginnings.

As in 2025, we remarkably have four major planets and the lunar nodes changing signs. It is incredibly rare to have so many planets changing signs in one year, so this definitely makes 2025 stand out!

Also, remember we enter the Year of the Snake on January 29th, and if we look at the Snake it is continually shedding the old to make way for the new…..

Thus, instead of spending pages going through the above (as those of you who have signed up for Opening The Doors on 2025 will receive), let’s talk about today’s Full Moon.

Beneath the Full Moon of January 2025, something magical stirs and whispers secrets of old. The Wolf Moon brings a luminous and mysterious energy as it lights up the sky.

January’s Full Moon meaning reminds us of our connection with the wild spirit of wolves.

The Full Wolf Moon occurs on January 13th, 2025, reaching its peak at 5:27 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

January gets its name from Janus, the Roman god of all beginnings.

Janus is often depicted with two faces, one looking to the past and the other to the future. This makes January the perfect month for reflection and fresh starts.

Which is why we are starting Flourish on January 18th!

If you have been sitting on the fence, there are only two spots left and you won’t regret gifting one to yourself!

As the New Year dawns, the world remains cocooned in darkness during these short, fleeting days.

Yet, we’re hopeful as we nestle in our homes during these cozy, chilly nights.

The Wolf Moon is a time for rituals involving inner strength, protection, and connecting with Winter’s wisdom.

There are so many rituals to do at this Moon Time that connect you to your inner strength and Winter’s Wisdom.

A simple one to do is go Howl at the Moon.

In a place where you feel comfortable, stand with your feet apart and your hands on your hips in your best superhero pose (Grey’s Anatomy fans will know what I’m talking about). Studies (like this one from Harvard) have shown that if you maintain this position for five minutes, you will perform better at a difficult task. It also helps build confidence.

However, why stop there? Think of a negative feeling or stressful situation that’s burdened you. Now, while maintaining your superhero pose, give a few big howls. Imagine that worry and negativity leaving your body. In its place is nothing but tranquil energy and peace.

This can be a wonderful way to release tension, anxiety, or heavy emotions. I mean, at minimum, it’s a big mood booster.

I’ve also created some fabulous Journal prompts to help you dig a bit deeper.

Okay, enough chuntering – let’s crack on with the reading.  The cards that flew out and at me this week  are the amazing Divine Circus Oracle, which made me laugh my soxs off – as with all the energies swirling and the bizarre weather patterns that are happening, the world does feel like that right now.

Now, if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce them (as not to, would be exceptionally rude!)

“What is life if not a Divine Circus?  Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us  moments earlier.  Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary.  It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd. “

Thus, I invite you to breathe and just BE with your gorgeous self here at this moment.  Take a few lovely, rich, nourishing breaths and let the cares of the moment slide off like wee little raindrops.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

If you need some help and support releasing the “shoulds”, the weight of energy around you I have a lovely guided visualisation for you.  It’s fun, we are going on a yomp and an explore!

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s Go See Shall We?

JOKER IS WILD

The Universe has a sense of humour, but never at your expense.  It is laughing with you, not at you.  You’ll see this for yourself as the Joker weaves her magic in your life, bringing you the grace that is beyond all reason, the necessary ingredient to ensure you win with the hand you have been dealt by life.

There’s nothing impossible when the Joker appears.  Her wild ways can transform a losing streak into a lifelong love affair with Lady Luck.

Strap yourself in and prepare for the ride of a lifetime.  The Joker has come to you and the Joker is wild.  Unpredictable and brilliant, she brings you a message.

You are being empowered to overcome all odds.  So you are going to win.  No doubts, no dramas, but not necessarily in a way that you expect either!

She is sending the best possible situation to you even now.  It might startle you, like a sudden light in the middle of the night, but it will be welcome nonetheless.

The Joker is the highest trump card to beat all others.

No matter how much another may seem to have the upper hand, or how many forces seem to be against you, even if you feel like a lone wolf about to be mauled by a pack of hungry lions, the Joker always wins.

She comes out of the blue, and changes destiny from darkness to light.  She brings the brilliant solution that ends a problem, the way through that is best and brightest.

You probably won’t see it coming.  It will probably be in a way that subverts everything you once believed to be true.

But it will be a welcome trick by the Universe, a loving joke that opens your heart and helps you realise that this vast impersonal universe personally knows and cares for you, so intimately and with such meticulous care.

Just don’t expect to feel in control of the process, for the Joker is wild and moves according to her own genius, but always blesses you with what will work best, beyond compare, now and always.

RED COUNTESS

Deep within, you know what is true and what to do (or not do).  Yet there is so much noise and distraction in the world, and even at times in our own minds, that listening for our inner wisdom can seem like trying to hear gentle birdsong in the midst of a rock concert.

Even so, you are hearing an inner truth, and deep down, you know it.  Can you trust that it is safe to not only hear your inner voice but act on it too?

There is something that you know.  You’ve felt, sensed, heard or realised this truth more than once.  Even if others see or feel differently, you just know what you know, even if you don’t quite know how you know it!

Give your truths value.  Hold your feelings and insights in high enough esteem to pay attention to them, to give yourself time to process what you think, feel and sense.

Know that they’re worth acting on, even if that action just means to trust more and stop worrying.

If you cannot figure out what your inner truths are, or you feel confused by conflicting thoughts and feelings, torn between head and heart, then you are in a state of information overload.

You need to switch off, discharge some excess mental and emotional energy and take a break.  Give yourself some time out from the crazy noise and constant distractions of the world so you can get in touch with what is true for you.

SILVER SIREN

When is an enchantment not enchanting?  When it is a spell that you allow to consume your free will, even as it promises so much and yet delivers so little.

The Silver Siren sings her song, a pretty poison to the soul.  Her false allure tempts the mind, even whilst the heart feels that something is not quite right.

Your power will come from discerning the truth and allowing her false promises no place in your heart.

If you compromise your integrity you will find that what you have obtained was not worth the price you paid for it, no matter how much you believed it would be otherwise.  It simply will not be worthwhile.

The Silver Siren is a false light that is so very enticing but so destroying.  To disempower the false light, you must stay true to what your heart says.

No matter how much you may fear you’ll regret it later on, simply say no to that which is unworthy, to that which does not hold the truth of love within.  Even if a person declares that they are utterly enlightened and only interested in your highest good; even if the opportunity at hand is “too good to miss”, making your mind needy and confused, follow your heart – if it’s not a Hell Yes, it’s a NO!

You are being given an opportunity for empowerment.  It is time to trust yourself and stand firm with your truths, and to experience the priceless sense of love, safety, security, peace and self-possession that this brings.

With this, your soul can sing its own song, a song that shares true light, the lightness of a heart that lives in peaceful truth with the world.

Holy Hannah, you can’t make this shit up!  What fabulous guides to kick us off in January.

Take time this week to really FEEL into what you want to experience this year, and how you want to ALIGN with it.

Use the Wolf Moon energy to really release and allow you to dream.

Big hugs and squeezes, and if you want to join us for Flourish, there are 2 spots open and we start January 18th.

Pluto, Revolution and the Full Wolf Moon.

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Miraculous, Misty, Manifesting, Monday!

How are you most gorgeous bean?  How are you feeling?

I don’t know about you, but the end of last week brought up a lot of “delicious opportunities for growth”, where I could really see where I wasn’t standing in my power, strength or I was and it was tweaking some people. Sigh.

Boundaries really tweak some people.

Which doesn’t surprise me much as we have Pluto moving signs, a Leo Full Moon (aka The Wolf Moon) this week and we are just coming out of the introspective first 3 weeks of this year.  Yes?

So let’s talk about Pluto – as you may be thinking, meh, what’s the big deal?

Pluto is that delicious planet that we continually bump off our planetary list, but it still holds ground – big ground.

On January 20, Pluto started into Aquarius, marking the final time the planet associated with death, destruction and the underworld will retrograde between the zodiac signs ruled by Saturn.

For the last 15 years, Pluto has been in Capricorn, driving global institutions, organisations and empires to success but as it enters Aquarius, it will influence transformation, personal growth, power dynamics, sexuality, revolution and technology, pushing us to plumb the depths of our subconscious.

This is a big deal, people.

In fact, Pluto’s movement into this innovative zodiac sign only happens every 248 years.

So the fact that it’s happening right now, during this time of endless back-to-back(-to-back) unprecedented events is … notable.

Yeah, so what Jen?

Why is this transit so influential?

“Pluto takes about 248 years to orbit the sun and is one of the few planets that makes important moves only a few times during an average human lifetime.

This sets the foundation for revolution, change and transformation for generations to come.

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798 and this period was a game changer in the history of mankind with important events like The French Revolution and the Irish Uprising taking place during these years.”

So when the planet of transformation gets tangled up with subversive Aquarius, we should expect some radical dismantling to occur, as well as some extraordinary developments that may change life as we know it.

Now do you see why I started with Pluto?

Then on Thursday January 25th we have the first Full Moon of 2024 – the Leo/Wolf Moon.

This Full Moon of January is a symbol reminding us of the power we hold inside ourselves.  (Which ties into the 8 energy of this year!)

Like that gut feeling you sometimes get.

Remember to trust yourself and your intuition because you hold raw knowledge inside of you infused by Nature.

The Wolf Moon’s spiritual meaning represents intuition, untamed wisdom, and wild ancient lore.

When we hear wolves howl from the dark depths of January’s moon, it’s like a story from the past, echoing wisdom through time.

So my darling one, there’s a lot swirling around.  Thus, if you feel off kilter or just want to snuggle up and be quiet.  Do it!

If you want to delve deeper into the Wolf Moon and play with some ideas, I’ve got you covered.

Now with all that being said, let’s crack on with the reading.

These are glorious new guides (which my guides made me go find, lol).  So let me introduce you.

“Wild women and wildlife, along with the wild, sacred spaces of our planet, are endangered species.  After millennia of surviving a patriarchy that would plunder the natural resources of both inner and lives, humanity has begun to cry out for the sacred feminine.

It takes a brave heart to reach out to her, to claim her despite the forces that insist on perfection and control, but in kitchens and studios and gardens and boardrooms across the planet, and in our very souls, we have begun to cultivate sanctuary for her.

We dare to speak of what is vulnerable and receptive, what is nurturing and authentic, what is divinely cooperative and creative instead of competitive and coercive.

We brazenly demand a juicy life, one in which we are allowed to embrace our own widish nature, rather than live another day in the dry and thirsty land of conformity.”

So dear heart, take a breath, a glorious deep breath in and then blow it all out.  Allow your lungs to tighten and expel all the stale air.  Take another breath like that (not a gasping), but a slow in through your nose, breathe down to your toes and then expel it all out with a sound if that works for you.

Are you here now?  You feel a bit more grounded?

From that place I invite you to allow the 8 energy to swirl (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, read last week’s reading).  As that starts to swirl, the energy of choosing from your heart, inviting your inner warrior in, and  putting yourself first…… Let the energy of this glorious Wolf Moon meld in, that sense of trust, old wisdom, watch them dance together.

Then from that place pick a card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go see what these glorious guides want to share with you this week.

REST DEEP

Be easy with you.

You are home to a soul, a breathing piece of the eternal magic.

Just like the swan who glides over open waters, you too can move with grace, but only when you gift yourself with quiet and ease.

These come with rest.

Allow yourself to have time just for you.

As we cocoon in this winter space, allow yourself to create a safe space for solitude and stillness.  Let your soul not be just a whisper, but to talk to you.

When you do this – Wild Woman Rises.

HOLD TRUE TO YOUR VISION

Only you know the sacredness of your vision, which means that you have to consult your inner guide for directions.

Expect those directions to run counter to what others are doing.

Stay the course.

You can’t blaze your own trail while following someone else’s footsteps.

No one can understand your vision as well as you can, because it has been gifted to you in particular, with your genius, gifts, vulnerabilities and foibles.

You’re uniquely qualified for the job, so go for it.

When we trailblaze in the name of authenticity, Wild Woman rises.

AWAKEN

It’s time to awaken, it’s time to step into your soul and being.

Sometimes, to achieve your awakening, you have to engage in the world around you, endeavouring to be a part of cultural consciousness and truth seeking.

And sometimes, to maintain your awakening, you have to shut your eyes to the world and go to the internal refuge that is your personal consciousness.

Your soul, your wise voice that closes out the external noise and opinions.

When we cultivate a practice of seeing that is true to our unique vision, and balance that with the wellness of all sentient beings, Wild Woman rises.

Wowzer, Holy Hannah, what glorious guides for this week with Pluto and the Wolf Moon. But my question for you is – are you willing?  Are you willing to embrace or embody the energy that chose you? If so, you may be a candidate for our 9 month glorious container that starts at Chinese New Year.  Have a stupendous week, stay warm, be kind and see you next week.

Big hugs!

January Wolf Moon.

Spiritual Cleansing

As the New Year begins and the Wolf Moon glows, it’s a perfect time to do a spiritual cleanse. Just imagine the moonlight washing away all that old, negative stuff, making room for good vibes and a fresh start to the year. It’s like hitting the reset button for your spirit!

Create a mini ritual to feel fresh and light for the new year. You could try some easy stuff; even lighting a simple candle can help you feel super refreshed. (I do it every night!)

Wolf Moon Journal Prompts

These prompts are meant to inspire introspection, intuition, and connection with the wild ancient wisdom the Wolf Moon embodies. It also encourages personal growth at the beginning of a new year.

Reflect on a recent moment when your intuition guided you. What did you learn from that experience?

When did you feel deeply connected to the wild, and what did it teach you?

Explore a personal belief or tradition that feels ancient yet significant. How does it shape your life?

Is there any ancient wisdom or folklore that resonates with you? What lessons does it hold?

How can you nurture and develop your curiosity further?

Is there an old habit or belief you’re ready to transform this year? Why is it important?

Can you apply lessons from a book, myth, or legend to your own life?

Have you experienced personal growth due to embracing change?

How can you do it again?

Identify a wild aspect of yourself you admire and plan to nurture further this year.

Describe a moment where your strength and resilience helped you feel powerful.

How can you invite more wisdom and guidance from your dreams?

What does living authentically mean to you, and how will you honor it this year?

An autumn craft that required no $ to make, just some foraged pine needles, a stick, dried flowers from an old bouquet from my lover, tinkling bells I picked from the threshold of our front door, an old ribbon I cut and some copper wire from my studio. #autumn #cozy #autumncraft #whimsical #whimsy

What if your life isn’t falling apart? What if yo What if your life isn’t falling apart?

What if you’re simply mid-frigging-leap?

The Full Moon Eclipse is arriving August 27–28, and the Fool is standing at the cliff’s edge with no map, no guarantees and no tidy five-year plan—just curiosity, courage and a wee dog saying, Oi, let’s go!

This eclipse may feel chaotic, ungrounding and wildly uncertain. But somewhere beneath the chaos, joy and possibility are fizzing.

You don’t need to know exactly where you’ll land.

You just need to know the old ground can’t carry the person you’re becoming.

You are not falling, Gorgeous Soul. You are leaping.

Where have you made yourself smaller, quieter or more beige just to belong?

No more hiding the wild laugh, strange ideas or glorious sparkle.

The new post explores what this Eclipse may uncover—and includes The Glorious Reveal, a playful ritual with a mirror, a wonky crown and some magnificently questionable dancing.

You do not need to perform to belong.

Your light was never the frigging problem.

They sold you Barbie and called it feminine. Pink They sold you Barbie and called it feminine.

Pink, pretty, agreeable, easy to look at and easy to manage. Somewhere we started believing that was feminine energy.

That’s femininity with the wild bred out of it.

The real thing looks more like nature than a doll.

Seasons. Storms. Tides that don’t ask permission. Soft and completely untamable at once. I spent years being the polished version. The wild one was always underneath.
