Mother’s Day, New Moon, Frogs and Hot Weather!

Happy glorious, magnificent, magickal Monday delicious lovely! Did you have a stupendous week? Did you take a little time to reflect on what re-aligning your values looks like? I spent Friday off the grid so to speak, no cell coverage and fully immersed in exploring the glorious outdoors, grizzly bear watching, hiking, laying in the middle of an Alpine meadow where the only thing that could be heard was the whisper of the breeze, birds and frog song from the nearby lake. The weather was sunny and hot which helped make it even more divine than I thought possible. Taking this time allowed me to really create the space and time to just breath in more of what I want in my life and to explore what that would mean and really aligning my values pertaining to life and work to this new creation. By the time I got home even though I had only been gone for 14 hours, it felt like I had been on a 3 day hiatus. Highly recommend it!

Mother’s Day was fabulous as a few female mumma friends and I went for a glorious explore through snow, forest, overflowing creeks and hot meadows where we encountered at least 400 tiny little frogs hopping about! Lol, it was very tricky walking for a bit as we most certainly didn’t want to step on them. My kids have a great tradition of getting me tons and tons of plants for my planters, unusual plants for the garden and very Dr. Seuss like plants that make me giggle. So when I got back from my hike they gifted me all these glorious plants, bags of dirt and a gargoyle and then for the rest of the day they took care of any household chores and made dinner and left me to potter and pootle. I love it! Best gift ever and dinner was amazing – homemade sushi which I could happily eat fairly much daily. Ahhh, I felt very blessed and treasured.

We have a New Moon in Taurus on Tuesday and this one comes will a very strong and robust energy that we would normally associate with an eclipse and is a great marker for change. “This new moon is both difficult and exalted with potential for great inspiration that comes with the freedom you may experience following challenging choices you have made or are in the process of making.

While stepping forward into new territory through your choices and realigning values, it is also important to bring in the quality of beauty and inspiration into the equation. Nurture yourselves in some way and have some fun despite the chaos that you may feel around you. It cannot be focused hard work all of the time. You will reap many more benefits if you take some time to smell the roses along the way and do something for yourself that represents self-care with a bit of luxury like going to a fine restaurant for a meal or treating yourself to a massage. And if you are in the process of purging the old, bring in something new that is an upgrade in the area of beauty and inspiration.”

So take some time on Tuesday to really examine the New Moon wishes you want to make and set the intention of beauty and inspiration as you make them.

Okey, dokey – now let’s crack on with the reading shall we?

Interesting to see that the cards that were most adamant about showing up for this reading are The Lightworker Oracle. At first I thought no, it should be the Earth Warriors, but Spirit was pretty darn clear that it was going to be the Lightworkers. When I asked the crystals who wanted to come participate they guided me to use something different. So this week we have a shell, a wooden heart and a bear tooth (no, it’s not gross). All very powerful Earth talismans which really ties in with the New Moon being in Taurus.

I have created a fun little, how shall we say it “cleansing” visualisation for you if you feel so inclined, to help you get centred, refreshed and clear. Otherwise, I invite you to put your feet flat on the floor, put your hands on your belly and slowly breathe into all the corners of your belly and feel your hands rise with the inhale and lower with the exhale. Breath this was for as long as you like and when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

DIVINE GRACE – THE LAW OF EFFICIENCY

It is time your life became easier. It is time for you to walk the way of divine grace with trust, simplicity and acceptance. You do not have to try to make things happen. The Law of Efficiency encourages us to work smarter, rather than always working harder. It is like planting a seed at the right time so nature will help it bloom in the spring, rather than planting it during the dead of winter, when it takes a lot of effort to keep it alive – and even then it may not survive.

To hitch your wagon to the Universe in this way, you need to learn to listen. This means tuning in to what feels right or wrong at any given time. Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magical Monday gorgeous one! Only one more sleep until Spring Equinox! (Can you tell I’m excited?) I love Spring Equinox – well, I love all the Sabbats and Esbats to be honest, but the Spring Equinox fills me with so much hope, promise and delight as I know deep in my body that the heaviness of winter is leaving and it’s a time of rebirth, growth and glorious opportunities! This is a time when the goddess is the Maiden in all her youthful glory, the god is reaching manhood, and energy abounds. It’s also the perfect time of year to clear away all those old patterns that no longer work for your benefit, and welcome in new growth, whether spiritual, personal or financial. For those of you on my email list you will be receiving a fun and easy ritual to mark the day and really tap into that glorious energy.

On Saturday I had one of those marvelous days filled with lots of moments of joy. The sun was out, the temperature mild I went for a hike up the mountain but the trail I was on was a mud pit so needless to say I was a tad filthy and muddy by the time I got home – but it all washes off, right? (Oh yes and forgot to grab the dogs before they dashed into the house covered in mud and hopped up on the frigging sofas!) So after cleaning up their muddy mess that was all through the house, I sat out on my deck and mused about how to build a glorious pagoda (with a built in chin up bar) and a cute little workshop for all my lovely tools and I was mapping out what I am going to do with the garden (when the three feet of snow finally goes away!) I love creating sacred outdoor space with plants, water, rock and wood – little magical corners and havens where you can sit and revel in the beauty, map out your dreams or just recline and relax and let nature buzz around you.

This in turn reminded me that I wanted to get the book “Garden Witchery: Magick from the Ground Up” so I popped into one of my favourite local stores to see if they had it. Alas, no and then I had one of those “wowzer” moments! Sitting on the shelf was an Oracle deck that literally shouted at me to pick it up. Now, I am uber picky about the decks that I use and I often will sit on the floor of the store and go through a deck for an hour and still put it back on the shelf. This one though – all I can say was “I didn’t stand a chance”, this was not an invitation from Spirit, but a very clear directive. So without opening it I picked it up and as I was buying it (talk about having things validated), someone walked up to me and handed me a long thin piece of folded paper. Ummm, I don’t do drugs, I don’t want your phone number, what the heck is this – were the first thoughts that dashed through my brain, but as I gently unfolded it there was a gorgeous pressed 4 leaf clover! Whoot, whoot! A gift of a 4 leaf clover on St. Paddy’s day and the exact minute I was following a directive to get this deck. Love how life unfolds.

So guess which deck we are going to work with for this reading? Yes, you guessed it. The new one!!!!!! (She is amazing). When I got home I immediately opened her up and laughed out loud with how perfectly perfect and powerful she was. So she has been cleansed, consecrated and blessed and is the ultimate deck for this pre Spring Equinox reading. Oh yes, how rude of me not to formally introduce her, she is The Earth Warriors Oracle by the amazing Alana Fairchild. Let me read part of the introduction to you so you can get a bit of a feel for her:-

This reading was done a bit differently, only one crystal and Citrine was most adamant that she be front and centre. The cards are fanned out like rays of sunlight.

So with that in mind and the energy of Spring Equinox just around the corner, let’s crack on! I did create a lovely Equinox visualisation if you feel so inclined (think Diana Gabalden and Stonehenge), if not I invite you to take a lovely long deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Wiggle your toes and feel your feet on the floor, solid and safe, take a few glorious deep breaths in and slowly out and when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Wow! I don’t know about you, but that was an amazing reading. A lot to do with trust, rebirth, heart based and not mind based and just how incredibly powerful and part of the Divine we all are! I thought it was interesting as well that all 3 cards that came were Hawaiian based! I particularly liked that the Pono Pono card came up, I once did this practice for 3 weeks straight and it was incredible to see what happened.
