Three Glorious Ways to Celebrate Lughnasadh.

Jenny Heston · 3:35 pm ·

Lughnasadh does not require an elaborate altar, a field of rippling wheat or three uninterrupted hours in which nobody needs anything from you.

It can be celebrated through the ordinary, meaningful things that already connect you to the season: practising your craft, gathering with your community and eating food grown close to home.

These three simple practices honour the heart of Lughnasadh—skill, gratitude, community and the quiet work behind every harvest.

A Candle Ritual for Your Craft

Lugh is remembered by the Old Irish title Samildánach, meaning skilled in many arts. He was not celebrated for possessing one perfect talent, but for his willingness to learn, create and continually develop his abilities.

This ritual honours that same creative spirit.

You will need

  • A candle in a colour that reminds you of the harvest or reflects your intention
  • A safe candleholder
  • The materials or tools used for your chosen craft
  • One uninterrupted hour—or whatever time is realistically available

Choose something you enjoy doing or a skill you would like to develop. You might write a page of your novel, paint outdoors, bake bread, tend your garden, sit at a pottery wheel, knit, carve, practise an instrument or begin learning something completely new.

Light your candle and say:

With this flame, I honour the work no one sees.
With these hands, I practise, learn and grow.
May every small act become part of a harvest
that ripens in its own time.

Then spend the next hour practising your craft.

This is not a test of your talent, and you do not have to create anything dazzling. The magic lives in showing up.

As the candle burns, let it represent all the small and ordinary moments that often go unnoticed. No one applauds the gardener for watering the seeds in May, yet that faithful tending makes the August harvest possible.

Your skills grow in much the same way. Every stitch you sew, every paragraph you write and every lesson you learn becomes part of a future harvest.

When you finish, thank the flame, acknowledge the time and attention you offered your craft, and extinguish the candle safely. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Visit a Fair or Harvest Festival

If you stepped into an ancient Lughnasadh gathering, you might have encountered competitions, musicians, storytellers, craftspeople, merchants, farmers and neighbours coming together to celebrate the first harvest.

Our modern fairs and harvest festivals may look rather different, but many still carry those same threads: community, craftsmanship, food, play and appreciation for the work that brings the harvest to life.

If you visit one this season, look beyond the rides and food stalls. Cheer for the competitors. Watch local artisans demonstrate their skills. Listen to live music. Admire the prize vegetables—because anyone who manages to grow a courgette the size of a small pony deserves recognition.

Talk with farmers about what they are growing. If it fits your budget, purchase something handmade or locally produced.

Every conversation, word of appreciation and small purchase helps sustain the people whose knowledge, labour and creativity keep local traditions and agriculture alive.

That is a beautiful—and deliciously fun—way to honour the communal spirit of Lughnasadh.

Let the Season Choose Your Meal

For this practice, resist the temptation to plan everything in advance. Instead, visit a farmers’ market, local farm stand or community garden and ask:

What is growing where I live right now?

Wander slowly and notice what late summer has to offer. You might discover fresh blackberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, herbs, peaches, squash or a peculiar-looking vegetable you have never cooked in your life.

Choose one seasonal ingredient that catches your attention and build a meal around it.

Ask the grower how they like to prepare it. Find out where and how it was grown. Try a recipe you have never made before—or simply prepare it in a way that allows its natural flavour to shine.

Before eating, pause and acknowledge everything that brought the food to your table: seed, soil, rain, sunlight, pollinators, human hands, patience and time.

You might say:

With gratitude, I receive this harvest.
May it nourish my body, honour the land
and remind me of the many hands and lives
woven into everything I receive.

Then eat slowly enough to actually taste it.

Eating with the seasons reminds us that food does not simply appear on a grocery-store shelf by magic—although grocery stores are peculiar places of abundance when you really stop to think about them.

Food is planted, tended, protected, ripened and gathered after months of care. By learning what grows where we live, supporting local growers and savouring what the land is offering now, an ordinary meal becomes a small act of seasonal reverence.

That is the heart of Lughnasadh: pausing amid all the striving to recognise the work, receive the harvest and say, with genuine gratitude, Look what has grown.

FIFA, Football, Fans & the Full Moon… When the Final Whistle Signals Change.

Jenny Heston · 2:12 pm ·

Isn’t it fascinating how football can take over the whole world?

People who have never met suddenly become united by a colour, a chant, a flag, a team, a hope. Living rooms become stadiums. Snacks become sacred offerings.

Complete strangers hug in celebration, while others dramatically question every referee’s decision as though they themselves have been officiating the beautiful game for decades.

And honestly?

I love it.

Because underneath all the noise, the cheering, the collective holding of breath and the occasional theatrical dive (I’ll let you decide whether I’m talking about football or life), there is something beautifully human happening.

Everyone is waiting for that one moment when everything changes.

One pass.

One decision.

One goal.

One unexpected twist. In the blink of an eye, the entire game shifts.

Life isn’t all that different.

We make plans, settle into our routines and convince ourselves we know where we’re heading. Then, just like that, the whistle blows, the energy changes, and we’re invited to see the field from a completely different perspective.

Which feels wonderfully fitting as we come to the final reading of June.

Can you believe we’re already here?

June has been full of light, Summer Solstice fire, moments of celebration, unexpected lessons and, for many of us, quiet invitations to grow in ways we weren’t expecting. Now the Full Moon rises to cast her silver light across everything we’ve experienced, asking us to pause before we charge headlong into July.

Because that’s what Full Moons do so beautifully.

They illuminate.

They reveal.

They celebrate what has come to fruition while gently asking, “Is there anything you’re still carrying that no longer belongs in your story?“

Sometimes the answer arrives like a bolt of lightning.

Sometimes it arrives as a whisper.

And sometimes it simply settles into your heart with the quiet knowing that something has run its course.

That’s how this reading feels to me.

Not simply because it’s the last reading of June, but because it also marks the end of this chapter of our weekly readings.

If you’ve been journeying with me for a while, you’ll know how much I’ve loved these moments we’ve shared together. Sitting with the cards each week, listening to Spirit, laughing at how astonishingly accurate they can be, and watching so many of you find exactly the message you needed.

But life, much like football, isn’t meant to be played with the same formation forever.

Sometimes the coach changes the strategy.

Sometimes the players move into new positions.

And sometimes the biggest win comes because someone had the courage to trust that change was needed.

That’s where I find myself.

The work is calling me deeper.

There are new ideas quietly waiting in the wings, new ways of serving, teaching and creating that need space to breathe. Rather than continuing simply because it’s familiar, I’m choosing to honour what Spirit has been gently whispering for quite some time now.

It’s time.

Not an ending. An evolution.

So this week’s reading feels like a beautiful threshold.

It carries the excitement of football fans who know that one brilliant moment can change everything, and the ancient wisdom of the Full Moon, reminding us that every ending creates space for something new to be born.

Perhaps that’s your invitation too.

Where in your life are you still playing yesterday’s game?

Where have you outgrown the strategy that once served you so well?

And what might become possible if you trusted yourself enough to step into a new season?

So pour yourself a cuppa, settle into your favourite chair, and join me for this final reading of June.

Let’s honour everything this month has gifted us.

Let’s listen to what the Full Moon wants us to release.

And together, let’s stand on the threshold of July with open hearts, curious souls and the quiet excitement that perhaps the best chapters are still waiting to be written.

After all, Gorgeous Soul…

Sometimes the final whistle isn’t the end of the story. It’s simply the beginning of the next match.

Enough chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading.

Take a moment and pause, ask your wise inner self what is it you need to hear as we close out June. Take a breath and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

HEALING

Healing can take many forms, even just through listening – when we feel we’re being heard it can make us feel better, so people who have the ability to listen with love and without judgement are already healers.

Sometimes just being in the presence of someone who is receptive to our thoughts and feelings can help us to feel uplifted and healed.

Do you feel you are able and willing to give this healing?

Hands-on healing is a technique many feel drawn to, and perhaps this is something you, too, wish to explore.  Are you in need of healing yourself?  Is there something that you are pushing through “because it’s expected?”

It’s important to listen to your body, mind and soul and take time out so it can heal naturally.  Make sure you’re getting all of the correct vitamins and nutrients.  And remember sleep can also be an amazing healer.

Explore healing therapies that may be new to you, such as aromatherapy, flower essences, hands on healing, art therapy, colour therapy – whatever piques your interest.

Believe and trust that you have the capacity to heal yourself and others.  Explore and embrace that piece of yourself and allow it to flow.

HOPE

Hope is the key to the door that can lead you away from any predicament you are in.

No matter how hopeless things may seem, if you look deep inside your heart your spiritual heart wisdom will reveal a glimmer of hope, and this can lead you to a brighter future.

This gorgeous faery reminds us to always tap into hope, because looking for hope and joy and changing your beliefs can literally change your future.

As you can see on the card a rainbow and a dove of peace are shown and they often come together reminding us that anything is possible.  Sometimes we just need an extra boost, so the faeries fly in on the wings of a dove to let us know that they’re with you with any difficulties you are experiencing.

Remaining hopeful while those around you are full of doubt and negativity can be extra challenging, but remember that hope comes from deep within our hearts and is an excellent habit to cultivate.

Heart wisdom and hope will see you through whatever is going on for you and those around you right now, so have courage and trust as the Faery of Hope walks hand in hand with peace and miracles.

NATURE’S SIGNS

The faeries love to leave hints and clues for us in nature. It’s one of the many creative ways in which they initiate communication with us.

For example, faeries often leave feathers or release floating dandelion seeds to let us know they’re nearby.  The appearance of a friendly bird, such as a robin, is another message that they are close by.

Faeries and other creatures often work together as they’re all in harmony with the Earth, whose wisdom can come in many forms.  Just allow yourself to be receptive and use your intuition to decipher any signs that you see.

If possible, sit next to a flowing stream and visualise your cares being resolved and any concerns flowing away.  Alternatively, imagine your hopes and wishes flowing towards you, looking out for any significant signs from nature as you do so.

You could also leave your own sign for the faeries next time you’re out in nature, letting them know  you wish to connect with them.  Leaving a tiny wooden fairy door next to a tree is a sure sign to the fey that you’re a faery friend.

The faeries will pick up on your intentions and help to manifest them.  If you don’t have access to a stream, it can be just as effective to visualise the process.

Those are some gorgeous, delicious messages! I’d love to know which card chose you and how it landed in your heart. Did Spirit score the winning goal? Did the Full Moon shine a light on something you’d been quietly avoiding? Or perhaps it simply reminded you that it’s time to change your game plan.

As we blow the final whistle on June and step onto the field of a brand-new month, remember that every ending carries the seed of a new beginning. Celebrate how far you’ve come, be gentle with yourself where you’re still growing, and trust that Spirit is already cheering you on from the sidelines.

Have a stupendous week, delicious lovely. Breathe deeply, celebrate your glorious, gorgeous self, and above all… have fun! Life is infinitely sweeter when we remember to play.

Big hugs, squeezes, moonbeams and bubbles galore!

✨ When Fire Meets Bloom: Beltane & the Flower Supermoon on May 1st.

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

Whoot. Whoot.

On May 1st, Beltane arrives… and the Flower Supermoon rises — all within the same breath of sky.

And if you pause for just a moment, you can feel it… that hum beneath everything. That sense that something is shifting, quickening, asking to be lived more fully.

This is not a quiet doorway we are stepping through.

This is fire meeting bloom. This is desire meeting devotion.

This is the moment where everything you have been tending, dreaming, circling… begins to ask a little more of you.

The Flower Supermoon rises full and luminous, closer to the earth than usual, casting her glow in a way that feels almost intimate. She has a way of illuminating the places you’ve been avoiding, and equally, the places that are ready to open.

Emotions rise. Truth sharpens. Longings that you may have tucked neatly away suddenly feel very present, very alive.

She doesn’t whisper this time.

She pulls.

She reveals.

She asks, gently but firmly, “What are you ready to release… and what are you finally willing to claim?”

And just as she reaches her fullness, Beltane steps in — wild-haired and warm, carrying the scent of blossoms and woodsmoke.

Beltane is the fire festival. The celebration of aliveness itself. The earth is no longer waking — she is awake. Fully. Lush and fertile and unapologetically growing.

You can feel it in the lengthening days, in the blossoms that seem to appear overnight, in that restless energy in your own body that says, there is more here…

Beltane doesn’t ask you to be reasonable.

She asks you to be real.

To stop holding yourself back.
To stop waiting for the “right time.”
To stop playing small with the very life that is asking to move through you.

Traditionally, two great bonfires would be lit, and people would pass between them — a ritual of purification, protection, and blessing for the season ahead.

And while we may not be leaping between bonfires in our back gardens (though… no judgment if you are), the essence remains.

A single candle. A small flame. A moment of intention.

You might step over it. You might pass your hands through the smoke. Or you might simply sit, watching the flicker, letting it see you.

Let the fire take what no longer belongs to you. Let it burn through the doubt, the hesitation, the stories that have kept you smaller than you are.

And then… let it awaken what does belong.
Your desire. Your courage. Your willingness to choose yourself.

Because this is where it becomes something quite extraordinary.

Beltane fuels your fire — your passion, your longing, your creative spark.
And the Supermoon? She amplifies everything.

So the release may feel deeper.
The clarity may feel sharper.
The call forward may feel impossible to ignore.

This is not ordinary energy.

This is one of those rare moments where what you plant — through your thoughts, your rituals, your choices — doesn’t stay small. It takes root. It grows. It becomes.

Fire feeds the bloom.
The bloom fuels the fire.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that… is you.

At the same time, there is a quieter thread weaving its way through this intensity. We are in Taurus season, after all — grounded, sensual, steady — even as the full moon pulls from the deep, emotional waters of Scorpio.

So alongside the passion and the expansion, there is an invitation to come back to your body. To your breath. To your own care. To nourish yourself.

Not as a luxury. Not as something you get to after everything else is done.
But as something essential.

How can you fill your own cup right now?
How can you tend to yourself in the way you’ve been longing to be tended to?

There is power in that kind of devotion. Especially if you’ve been looking outward for it.

This moon, this fire, this moment… they all bring you back home.

If you feel the pull to go a little deeper, to sit with yourself in the glow of candlelight and truth, let your journal hold you for a while.

Let yourself wonder what you are ready to release under this full moon. Let yourself imagine what full bloom actually looks like for you — not the polite version, but the honest one. Notice where you may have been playing small, and gently ask why. Feel into what you are calling in for this Beltane season, and what might shift if you stopped waiting for permission to begin.

And don’t forget to honour what has already grown. There is so much that has unfolded since the last new moon that deserves to be seen, acknowledged, celebrated.

Gorgeous Soul… this is your moment.

Not to force. Not to strive. But to align.

To let the fire move you.
To let the moon guide you.
To let yourself be seen in your fullness.

And if you feel that little nudge — that whisper that says I want to go deeper into this — the Beautiful Beltane Booklet is there waiting for you.

A soft place to land.
A spark to work with.
A doorway into your own magick.

Because this? This is not the season to hold back.

🔥🌸 Whoot.

Now with all that chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading!

Take a moment to just slow it down, to come back to your gorgeous self and take a lovely breath. In your minds eye see yourself in your fullness, feel it into the tips of your toes. Breathe it in and then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a gander shall we?

LADY LUNA’S MAGICK

You know that I shine upon this Earth and that we belong to each other.

Yet you have disconnected, for all your knowledge, when only a few moments spent beneath my rays would cleanse your entire energy field, assisting you in shining your light at the full moon.  And with my dark time, you may go within and find the secrets you have kept hidden from yourself and look at them without blame or fear.

So I ask you now, as my moon Dragonfae flies about me, sending the energy ever turning, to connect with me, Lady Luna.  When you do connect, you will be more complete and the yearning and sense of hopelessness that I feel from you from time to time will ease, be soothed and finally, dissolve.

Take my healing powers and light as yours: as they are.

Reflect upon me and I will reflect upon you, and your dreams and visions will gain in strength, clarity and power, all the while keeping you safe and grounded.

My light has shone over the Dragonfae, the magickal world, the beings you call human and all those of the animal and plant kingdom, the minerals, the dreams and the flowers and all are mine, and I am theirs.

My light ran through the veins of your ancestors and they understood me better than you, for all your knowledge, sometimes do now. Please, let us be friends and companions once again. Do not be afraid of my light and my night time self, for you are the same as me and we are both older than time itself.

Learn your moon sign:  this will give you many clues as to who you are at the core of your being, who you are under the layers and layers of (unmagickal) conditioning that can rub away and erode our natural intuitive abilities and magickal gifts.

CHENGUANG

I am Dragonfae, thus I am at once a being of copious laughter, and of earnest and deep study.

Being Dragonfae, I know when to put aside my serious work and my mission, and play, laugh and love.  I know the importance of devoting myself to the playtime that balances, soothes and heals my heart, and lifts the heaviness that sometimes accompanies my days.

Can you do this? Or are you too caught up in being taken seriously? There is a perfect balance between serious, cosmic matters and playful light-heartedness to be found.  Both Earth and star are necessary for all of us. We are indeed galactic beings ourselves.

But most of all, your hope and optimism is paramount right now. Take heart, for delight and joy is yours.

You are about to experience a true reversal in your inner self:  you will now think magickally and attain mastery of magickal consciousness.  What you think, what you are manifests about you at all times: what you are now is the delicious light-hearted magickal being you were born to be.

You are like a beautiful shining star; its light magically transforming everything it touches. Rays of light beam out from you and your body is awash with healing green energy and fresh new life.

You are dancing in the air, lifted up on the strength of your own experience and friendships, and you would do well to wear the divine colour violet, while the gentle zephyr helps your move in the direction of your dreams.

When we allow ourselves to shine we become who we were always meant to be; and by example we encourage others to become who they truly are.

Drop the heavy nature of punishment, guilt and beliefs that no longer serve you. You are a powerful role model for others; you have experienced the joy of setting your sights high and the healing power of self-belief.  You still have many experiences ahead of you on your journey, but this energy of the star is now your companion and your divine inspiration.

NIMUE

Between my two hands lies the power of all that is; the connections between the Earth and the stars, the realms through which you can move to bring about your deepest desires and dreams.  But do you dare to dream it?

Are you courageous enough to declare your desire?

I can create, but I will not be brought forth when you do not have the fortitude to commit to your change. Make a commitment to thy own self now – she, who you truly are, is worth this trust, this pledge, this courage you must have to birth your own changing self.

For I am gentle, but I too have no more time to spend if you wish to waste the jewels life has given you. I will turn away, because it may not yet be your time. Only you can say it is not so, and walk forth into your new self, with me as guide and light, with transformation as your nature, with your incarnation without material death as your truth.

Do this with me:  Bless thyself. Love thyself.  Know that you are beyond your own imaginings.  Act this day, this hour, this minute, and change will flow.  Do not hesitate. Be transformed now!

It is time for you to free yourself from the confines of others’ expectations and investigate other less conventional ways of making a living.  You may be drawn to a particular crystal at this time, and may enjoy simply entering into more regular communion with the element of earth and its minerals.

Wear jewellery that has been cleansed by you, and energised by you, and understand its significance and power for you. Make each piece you choose to wear a totem symbolising your own self, adorning and expressing who you truly are.

Above all, the message of Nimue is to free yourself. Stop expecting others to unshackle the chains and force you to walk free. You, and only you, can remove that which is holding you back.

Woosah! Perfect guides for this gorgeous potent energy of Beltane and the Superflower Moon. Wishing you a glorious Beltane, bask in your inner fire, let this energy fill you up and nourish you. Big Blessings.

Love, Snakes & a Cosmic Smack-Down!

Jenny Heston · 3:13 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

As I sat down to write this reading, my guides barged in with a full-on soundtrack of love songs — the kind your parents used to belt out in the kitchen. “Love is in the air…” Tina Turner rocking “What’s love got to do with it?” — and a shed ton more. Apparently subtlety was not on the agenda.

I thought I was going to write about Valentine’s Day — how it’s largely a made-up celebration that Hallmark, chocolate makers, and rose sellers are doing very well from, thank you very much.

Well.

My spiritual posse gave me a firm energetic smack-down. And when they smack, I pay attention. So this isn’t going where I expected — stick with me… or don’t. Your choice. 😉

We’re in a potent moment right now. We are in the final week of the Year of the Snake, standing at the threshold of Chinese New Year, with a Solar Eclipse approaching. This is shedding energy. Threshold energy. Old skins cracking. Truth rising.

A deep invitation to look at what — and who — we are loving.

Yes, in Western culture Valentine’s Day is in full swing. Shops are overflowing with glittery hearts, a single rose costs the price of a small mortgage, and chocolate has mysteriously shot up by what feels like 35%.

And if I’m honest? Valentine’s Day has always irritated me a bit — not because I don’t believe in love, but because I don’t understand why we’ve reduced something so vast to a single, commercial day… and why it’s mostly focused on romantic love.

What about the rest of it?

What if you’re not in a romantic relationship?
What if you’ve lost your partner?
What about love for friends, family, community, nature, spirit… and most importantly — yourself?

Because here’s the truth: without self-love — real, grounded, nourishing love — you have nothing solid to build from. And let’s clear this up right now…

Self-love is not selfish.

A client once told me they felt guilty taking time for themselves — as though nurturing their own body and spirit was indulgent. It isn’t. It’s foundational.

Self-love is tending your mind, your body, and your spirit. It’s choosing practices that light you up instead of drain you. It’s honouring what excites you, nourishes you, and brings you back home to yourself.

To love, forgive, and accept yourself fully is pure magick. It opens the channel for the Divine to move through you with ease.

So this year — in the wild, shedding, eclipse-kissed energy we’re standing in — I invite you to redefine romance.

Ask yourself:

How can I love myself better?
How can I become my own most devoted partner?
What would it look like to court my own joy?

Book yourself a romantic date.
Move your body slowly and with intention.
Journal your feelings.
Speak to yourself with the kindness you offer your best friend.
Seek support where you need healing.

Fall in love with your glorious self — daily, not just on Valentine’s Day.

And remember, love all of yourself – even the jiggly bits lol, because you are so, so very worth it!

Use the emotional waters of this time and upcoming Eclipse to write yourself a love letter — a declaration of devotion to your own becoming.

I’ve created a glorious Self Love Spell, which is an easy and lovely candle ritual for you to do.

Okay, I have chuntered on enough, so let’s crack on with the reading.

When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to share their wisdom and insight with you this week, the glorious “Love Your Inner Goddess” guides came out big and bold.

Seriously, the perfect guides for this time.  Woosah!

Okay dear heart, just settle into yourself.  Allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.  Just breathe into all the corners of your glorious being, and allow in your mind’s eye a glorious vortex to start swirling.  As it opens, see it filled with love, all sorts of love and allow it to soothe you and to remind you that you are love incarnate.  Then when you’re ready pick the card or cards that dance around your heart.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a gander shall we?

FREAKING BEAUTIFUL

You are here to march to your own beat.  You can be happy and free, whether the world looks at you with awe, admiration, confusion or love – or all of these at once.

Normal is not for you.  Don’t be afraid of that!  Deep down you are the good kind of crazy, an individual.  You would never be happy trying to be the same as everyone else!  You have an inner sense of justice and a need to question authority when it doesn’t earn your respect.  This may make some people uncomfortable, whilst it inspires others to think for themselves and not automatically assume that everything they are told is correct.  We need more of this in our world!

You are a free thinker with a different point of view to most people.  This isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you, but a sign of something special – a gift to see and express things differently.  The world needs much more of that too!

Your weird streak is a proverbial breath of rhea air, preventing unimaginative collapse into the boredom of sameness.  It also makes you a divine poster child for others who want to break free from conformity and unapologetically be truly themselves.  It means that you get to dream up your own destiny, and you don’t have to worry about what anyone else has to say about it.  The Universe will support you every step of the way – because it so enjoys you just being you!

BEAUTIFUL BANDIT

You can choose right now to feel good about yourself.  If you’ve been beating yourself up, stop it now.  Don’t let anyone else decide how you should feel about yourself.  Taking responsibility for your actions means that when you have done something that you feel is out of integrity, you do something about it that is constructive and useful.  Shaming yourself with judgement, or allowing another to steal your self-esteem, is neither of those things.

The Divine Mother is telling you to forgive yourself and use your energy not to live the best life that you can.  It’s time to take your life back.

You are one tough sweetheart, a spiritual gangster,a  beautiful bandit, stealing back from the unworthy that which rightfully belongs with you.  You have certain spiritual rights that cannot be denied you.  Your dignity, power and grace, your sense of beauty and self-esteem, your chosen belief systems, your energy and your right to take up space in this world rightfully belong to your soul.  Your faith in your spiritual connection with the Universe and your sense of your life purpose belong to your soul, too.  So do your joy, your laughter and your enjoyment of life, your belief in your own purity of heart and the goodness of your own being.  Your right to love yourself is owned by your soul, too.

Even when you make mistakes, the great Mother loves and forgives you, knowing that you are doing your best and are her precious one.  You have a spiritual right to be free from torment, cruelty and mental anguish.  You alone own the right to choose your thoughts and claim your freedom to make your own choices.  You are fierce with wisdom.

Anything that you feel has been taken from you unfairly shall be taken back by you.  Claim what is yours by spiritual right.

PEACOCK PRIESTESS

Daily life can get us down before we even realise what is happening. Trying to do it all can push us beyond our limits, draining our energy and stealing our joy.

One moment, we are on top of the world; the next moment, we wonder what happened and why we cannot rally our spirit. If we do not learn how to rest, exhaustion, crankiness and illness eventually force our hand. It takes longer to break down and recover – and is much more painful than it is to learn to rest as part of our lifestyle.

Rest is not only a way to prevent unnecessary suffering, it also has its own value. When we are in restful quiet, we can hear our inner voice and the guidance of spirit much more clearly. We can feel gratitude and take delight in what brings us pleasure. Rest is part of how we live well.

Peacock Priestess reminds you that you can see taking rest as an act of love and a way to be a good role model. Don’t allow guilt or shame to stop you from taking delight in your downtime. What kind of rest you need will vary. It could be a long nap, painting, listening to music, writing poetry or practicing meditation, a bath with candles, visiting a temple or church to sit quietly , working in your garden, playing with animals or going for a walk and being in nature, soaking up her beautiful healing energy.

There are many ways to rest. Try some. Find out what you enjoy.

If you feel impatient for something to happen – or worried that you are not accomplishing all that you want to achieve quickly enough – then take heart.

The Universe is working with you, not against you, to bring your dreams to life. Even times when not much seems to be happening are a part of this creative process, balancing out other times when energy becomes active and intense.

What will be most helpful for you and your dreams right now is to rest. During that pleasurable rest, behind the scenes, some spiritual magic is going to be created.

Woosah!  Those were glorious messages for the week!

So gorgeous one, sending you big love, squeezes, warm cups of tea and a soothed soul.

May your heart be full and your spirit light!  Try out the candle ritual and remember – You are loved, you are worthy and you are amazing!

Last Reading of 2025 and Blessings for The Holiday Season.

Jenny Heston · 3:03 pm ·

Happy Last Reading of 2025.

I think we can all agree it has been a year, and here we are amidst the holiday season prep and doing.

I do invite us all to remember that for some this season is most challenging, they may feel alone, have lost someone, feel overwhelmed or a myriad of other things.

As we just welcomed the Winter Solstice on Sunday, it opened the door into Winter for us.

And for those who asked if they can still join The Omen Days Journey, yes!

Our amazing Solstice gathering was recorded and we start on December 26th.  So come join us all, it will change how you end the year!

I will keep the doors open until midnight of the 23rd. and then they close.

As I head into my Winter Break and walk the Omen Days Path.

This is a magical season full of transformation and deep internal work.

It may seem counterproductive to pause, rest, and reflect.

However, remember that your worth isn’t defined by what you’ve accomplished.

Slow down and be fully present in activities that truly bring you joy and pleasure. Before you know it, Spring will be here, so enjoy these quiet moments of rest and solitude.

So why not create a to-do list for this Winter holiday that captures your inner child.

What would you like to do to bring more holiday magic to the season?

With so many obligations during December, find time to slow down and read a book you enjoy.

With the longer nights and colder days, it’s a perfect time to snuggle up and relax.

Pick something purely for pleasure or a non-fiction book that can help you learn something new or change your perspective.

Spend time in reflection and creating the space for the next year (and no this is not a TO DO thing), that’s why we do The Omen Days (and yes, it doesn’t start until the 26th so you have time to join.)

This is about really looking at what nourishes your heart and soul at this time.

Yes, there are some family obligations, but if spending 2 hours with Uncle Mervin makes you want to pull your hair out, then only spend an hour – and have boundaries!

Okay enough of me chuntering as we all have stuff to do!

Let’s crack on with the reading.  When I sat with all my lovely decks and asked who felt a strong urge to come support and guide us this week as we head into the dark and the shortest day I was tickled to see who hopped up.

The glorious guides who were adamant are the Sacred Destiny Oracle.  So in case  you have never met them, let me introduce you – and if you have met them before, let me reintroduce you (as not to do so is rude!).  “You have a sacred destiny; we all do.

There is a powerful and profound reason that you are here on the planet.  However, sometimes it may be difficult to understand what that reason is and perceive what is required on your journey into the future.  It may be a challenge to know what the next step in life should be.  This is the time to call upon the energy of nature and majesty of the natural world to provide answers to the heartfelt yearnings of your soul.  In ancient traditions, shamans, medicine women, witches, visionaries, and prophets all accessed hallowed knowledge by observing their natural environment.

These wise beings stepped through mystic gateways into inner realms to bring back meaning to the seemingly random event of life. “

I seriously snorted tea out of my nose when they appeared.  Why?  Re-read the last two lines.

Okay darling one.  Please take a moment to just relax.  Don’t worry about if the lights look great, or how you are going to deal with Uncle Tony at the Xmas dinner.  Just BE here NOW.  Take a massive deep breath out first through an open mouth.  Then allow your breathing to find its open delightful, rich rhythm and let your shoulders drop.

As we have just lit the third candle of Advent, Joy, the candle of the animal world.

Let me ask what does Joy feel like to you right now?  Is it elusive or is it permeating your being.

Breathe.

If you want to play with Joy a bit more I have a guided visualisation for you.

Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that tug.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go look, shall we?

STAYING FOCUSED

Be clear about where you are going.  Do not compromise!

Follow your dreams; you deserve the best.  Prioritise your life.

Once you decide on a direction, hold the course.  Do not veer.  Do what’s important, and release the rest.  Place your intent and passion on one thing, rather than scattering in many directions, and you will be successful.

On the path, it’s easy for the traveler to be distracted by people, events, and even shiny objects.  Do not take any side roads.  Stay the course.

Keep going, no matter what emerges on your path that distracts you.  It’s easy to get lost and forget where you’re heading.  Recommit yourself to your destination.

What you focus on is what you create, so put your attention on what is worthwhile, beautiful, and inspiring.

Refrain from focusing on what’s not working: only focus on the direction you want to go.

MIRACLES

Just around the bend, a miracle is waiting to happen.

Release fear and uncertainty, and majestic wonders wait to unfold for you.

Watch for them and embrace them.  Some come in an unlikely form.  Trust that all is unfolding for your highest good.  Expect miracles in your life.

What is expected tends to be realised.  The more you become aware of the small marvels in your life, the more you will grow in magnitude.  Celebrate and cherish them when they appear, no matter how small they may seem.

What others see as ordinary, you see as wondrous.  Look at your life in a new way.  Let go of fear and expectation, and allow the Goddess to solve your challenges in mysterious and wondrous ways.

Don’t limit the way you think miracles can appear in your life.  All is well.

FARAWAY PLACES

Stop playing it safe.

Get ready for new horizons and change in your life.  A journey is coming.

It might be to foreign lands or faraway places, or may be an inner shift that changes your destiny.  It’s all beneficial.  Sometimes we can feel wobbled when we are not in our normal surroundings, however, you are safe and protected.  Good fortune ensues.

Part of the glory of travel is stepping out of old habits, routines, and the repetitiveness of everyday life.  It can feel daunting, yet in no small way your life is a spiritual voyage.  Change is coming.  Things are not as they seem. There are no wrong turns; every adventure and missed-venture is part of the course.

You are on a pilgrimage of the soul.  Keep your metaphorical bag packed; some unexpected experiences are ahead.  Be ready for anything.  The joy of travel is that you can begin to experience the everyday as if you are seeing it for the first time.

Nothing should be taken for granted.

Absolutely perfect!  How did that feel for you?  Wishing you a stupendous Holiday season.  Remember to play for goodness sakes and don’t get caught up in what you think it “should look like”, sending you massive warm hugs, big gingerbread kisses and golden light!  Talk to you in 2026.

Come make a witches broom with me to hang over my Come make a witches broom with me to hang over my doorway. An autumn craft that required no $ to make, just some foraged pine needles, a stick, dried flowers from an old bouquet from my lover, tinkling bells I picked from the threshold of our front door, an old ribbon I cut and some copper wire from my studio. #autumn #cozy #autumncraft #whimsical #whimsy

What if your life isn’t falling apart? What if yo What if your life isn’t falling apart?

What if you’re simply mid-frigging-leap?

The Full Moon Eclipse is arriving August 27–28, and the Fool is standing at the cliff’s edge with no map, no guarantees and no tidy five-year plan—just curiosity, courage and a wee dog saying, Oi, let’s go!

This eclipse may feel chaotic, ungrounding and wildly uncertain. But somewhere beneath the chaos, joy and possibility are fizzing.

You don’t need to know exactly where you’ll land.

You just need to know the old ground can’t carry the person you’re becoming.

You are not falling, Gorgeous Soul. You are leaping.

Where have you made yourself smaller, quieter or more beige just to belong?

No more hiding the wild laugh, strange ideas or glorious sparkle.

The new post explores what this Eclipse may uncover—and includes The Glorious Reveal, a playful ritual with a mirror, a wonky crown and some magnificently questionable dancing.

You do not need to perform to belong.

They sold you Barbie and called it feminine. Pink They sold you Barbie and called it feminine.

Pink, pretty, agreeable, easy to look at and easy to manage. Somewhere we started believing that was feminine energy.

That’s femininity with the wild bred out of it.

The real thing looks more like nature than a doll.

Seasons. Storms. Tides that don’t ask permission. Soft and completely untamable at once. I spent years being the polished version. The wild one was always underneath.
