Civic Duty and Intuitive Choices.

Well here we are in June and yesterday we had the glorious Strawberry Moon!

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a full week!

My most amazing daughter Morgen and her huge, gloriously fat 8 month old baby called Callum came to visit for the week and to help celebrate the mothership’s 95th birthday. The last time Morgen came to visit, which was in January, my housemate gave us all the plague so we spent the visit in our beds!

This time however, with the lovely weather, I juggled my work schedule and took time to play and boy did we ever. We explored a Medieval Festival, went on multiple glorious hikes, took Callum to the petting zoo (which was more for us than him, lol). Made jewellery together, went to all the Farmer’s markets, had a picnic in a daisy meadow and much more!

And then I managed to tweak my lower back on Thursday as I parkoured into the back of the car in a frenzy of cleaning, prior to picking up the mothership and taking her around the gardens of Government House and to a cute tea room!

By Friday everything came to a grinding slow down (totally pisses me off when that happens). I was frigging, hobbling and bitchy as all get out which got my mind spinning to the fact that I have been “chosen” for jury selection on Thursday and if picked I can look forward to a 7 day criminal trial!

I’m sorry, I have no desire, zip, zero, zilch to sit on a jury. None whatsoever!

When I have mentioned that to a couple of people, I am very politely reminded that it is my Civic Duty, that I should give back to my community. Mmmmmmmm. Well that got right up my nose.

I have coached football (soccer) for 25 years, purely as a volunteer. I have coached rugby, I volunteer for Hospice, Women In Need homes, Animal Shelters, and Compost Education centres.

I vote, I obey most laws but I don’t believe we have a Justice system, I believe we have a legal system and I have no desire to partake of it to be honest.

Let alone the fact that I can’t sit still for a whole day, or that my 23 year old son, Rowan, has his convocation for completing his degree with honours through a pandemic (and I am not going to miss that), or a 3 month old puppy that needs to be let out every hour and a half. And the list goes on.

So no, I have no desire to be selected for jury duty!

Thus, I did what any normal person would do and hung up my macrame swing that I made the other year and talked to the Full Moon as she beamed through the branches of the Garry Oaks above me. I took some time to ask myself some questions that really tie into this last Full Moon of Spring, let the breeze waft and the scent of the flowers dance around me.

It was quite delicious!

I also spent time planning out a Summer Solstice gathering and feeling into the ideas for a guide for Summer Solstice – so we will have to see how that comes through.

With June we have an energy shift from the TENSION of May to INTUITIVE CHOICES (I love this).

The theme for June is: “Intuitive Choices”

“Emotional clarity becomes more available this month as we assimilate the lessons of the recent eclipses and align ourselves with the next intuitive step.

The theme of Intuitive Choices has everything to do with stepping into the power of trusting the heart instead of the head and allowing for our curiosity and what is choosing us to be the compass instead of a plan based on a rationalised set of responsibilities and expectations.

There is an opportunity to settle into right timing and the magic of synchronicity and spontaneous events that feel emotionally aligned. In this energetically softer month we can begin to really feel what wants to support us and where we may be struggling down the wrong path.

Since the emotional centre is a much faster processor than the intellectual centre, we will feel into people and situations and either move away from or towards them before the mind has a chance to process the information. Trusting the intelligence of the heart is an important step if we are to reset ourselves on the path that is choosing us. You may not “know” intellectually why you are drawn to certain people, places or experiences, but if you trust that you do “know” intuitively, that is what is important. You may not be able to explain to someone why you are making a particular choice, but if you are clear about it, that is all that matters.”

I love how the emotional centre is acknowledged this month, as this is one of the things I teach in my Mastery and Manifestation course.

Many people don’t understand that what we allow, either from outside or from ourselves, into our bio morphogenic bubble impacts every cell in our body and what we are able to create.

Okay, enough chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading.

Journey

Memorial Day, Are You Willing? And the Strawberry Full Moon!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Majestic Memorial Monday.

(To all my US friends), and happy Spring Bank holiday to all my lovely UK friends!

Wow, May seems to have just flown by! It just seems a hot minute ago that we were talking about the energy of this month being TENSION and pffft, the month is almost done.

Although, I will say I am reveling in the warm weather, the garden growth and all the amazing smelly flowers that come out and dance for us in this time of late Spring.

This weekend we celebrated the mother-ship’s 95th birthday, with a feast, family, friends, frivolities and fun. It was so interesting to see all the different personalities meld and the cool conversations that unfolded.

During that event, I had a great conversation with one of my boys about the book “Unfuck Yourself” (he had just discovered it recently.)

He brought up the key phrase that can really Unfuck you……… Ready?

Super simple, but super powerful when faced with confusion, stagnation and all the rest of that dross.

The phrase is “AM I WILLING?”

Am I willing to do the work to make a change? Am I willing to get off the sofa and go to the gym to lose weight? Am I willing to release those relationships that drain me?

AM I FUCKING WILLING TO MAKE CHANGE?

Then interestingly enough the author goes on to say, if you can’t come up with anything to put on your AM I WILLING list. Turn it around and ask yourself the same question in a different way “WHAT AM I NOT WILLING TO DO OR PUT UP WITH?”

For example, I am not willing to put up with this abusive relationship. I am not willing to continually struggle. I am not willing to be continually dismissed. I am not willing to feel unhealthy………..

It’s quite fascinating to play with, write down and it most certainly unravels those threads that can make you feel like you are tied up in a knot.

This Saturday (June 3rd) we welcome in the Strawberry Full Moon.

This is the first Full Moon since our lovely Eclipse Season and the heralding of Summer and Summer Solstice.

The Strawberry Moon of June is named for the wild and ripe strawberries that reach their peak in June. It’s believed that picking strawberries beneath the light of the moon honors the crops and ensures a bountiful yield.

Strawberries are considered a food of love, representative of the goddess Freya, and they symbolize love and luck. June’s Strawberry Moon meaning embodies the magic and fullness of life.

This is the best moment to make difficult decisions or to face responsibilities you’ve been avoiding. Start fresh and dive deep into personal growth! Remember to pace yourself, don’t burn yourself out in your excitement and enthusiasm. Evaluate your goals and intentions to make sure they are realistic and achievable.

New life, sunlight, magic, joy, and strength are everywhere. The earth and the universe are surging with enthusiasm! Your intuition is at a peak! So keep an open mind to all of life’s adventures and twists.

Happy Moony, Magnificent, Magickal, Manifesting Monday!

How are you, gorgeous one? How was your week?

Okay, we have lots to unpack this week as we are now in March, and you’ve heard the saying “In like a lion, out like a lamb?”

Well March brings us so many shifts and changes it might feel a tad turbulent and bumpy in spots, and to be honest, that might be a tad challenging, or not. It all depends on you! So w e have a glorious Virgo Worm Moon on Tuesday March 7th, (and again I ask – do worms have an astrological sign?)

The energy has shifted for March to “Turbulence Ahead”, and we have Equinox arriving on March 20th! (And yes! To all of you who have asked if there is going to be a guide for Equinox, there most certainly is! )

There is the delicious OMG (Ostara Magickal Guide) for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere who are going to experience the Spring Equinox. There is also the delightful MMM (Mabon Magickal Manual) for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere.

Oh yes, we have Saturn moving signs into Pisces (very emotional time), let alone what is happening with Pluto! (Can you do a glorious happy dance in your kitchen?)

So let’s unpack, are you ready?

Tomorrow (Tuesday the 7th) we welcome in the Virgo Worm Moon. I purposefully am combining both the astrological and the true name of this Full Moon. Also, remember the Full Moon energy plays for 3 – 4 days either side of its culmination.

March 2023 paves the way for some of the most transformative cosmic events of the year. By the end of the month, we are likely to have faced change, healing, and the welcoming of new opportunities.

Tiny buds are pushing their way up through the earth, filling your heart and soul with pure joy. Birds, squirrels, and other critters scurry about, and you wonder if they feel the same hope and anticipation you do.

Whether physically or metaphorically, it’s time to plant seeds you can harvest and reap the rewards of later this year. What hard work and energy can you do NOW to help out your future self?

It’s time to get specific on your goals and focus your energy on your specific intention.

GRANDMOTHER MAGICKS

At this time of life change, you are drawing to you other beings and people, including divinities, who bring you solace, comfort and their unconditional love. WU-WANG

In times of olde, they said that only those who were pure could connect with those like myself. That the virgin could connect with the Unicorn. That the child could see the meaning of God. That the fae would truly see into your heart, and finding it corrupt, would never appear to you.

I am here to tell you that your heart is pure and wild and innocent. It is that you have forgotten how to see us, that you have been told that in order to see us, you must be perfect. That in order to see us, you must be mad, unclean, broken, and if you say you have seen us, you face being shunned.

I am here to say to you that we appear to those who have looked into their hearts and have seen beyond the woundings….because within you there is a wild and untrammelled heart space which is free of any taint. In that space we can enter and therefore, we can and we will be seen again. You were not born into this world wrong or sinful. There may be karmic markings, but you are no sinner, nor are you corrupt or unworthy. Foster that which is wild and pure and good with you, and we will begin to appear and come forth. You will feel us on the wind, in the water, see us in the fire and hear our voices emanating from the heart of our mother, the Earth.

You are a child of the Mother, call her what you will, and at your core you are one of the wild ones. That is my message for you.

LADY LUNA’S MAGICK

You know that I shine upon this Earth and that we belong to each other. Yet you have disconnected, for all your knowledge, when only a few moments spent beneath my rays would cleanse your entire energy field, assisting you in shining your light at the full moon. And with my dark time, you may go within and find the secrets you have kept hidden from yourself and look at them without blame or fear. So I ask you now, as my moon Dragonfae flies about me, sending the energy ever turning, to connect with me, Lady Luna. Imbolc, Full Moon and a Glorious Free Gift for You.

How are you gorgeous one? How are you feeling?

I have just recovered from “the plague” that my housemate very kindly brought back from Utah and ran rampant through my home taking out everyone! Including my daughter who was here visiting for 2 weeks and her fabulous 4 month old baby. (Which made me uber, uber bitchy!)

So grumpy, fed up, tired and bitchy has been the energy of everyone for the last 10 days! Then to add insult to injury a major gas line was ruptured so we were without heat for 2 days! Thank goodness for a hot water bottle, a kettle and cups of tea.

So let’s explore the energies of this mid winter time, Imbolc and the Full Moon and I have a glorious free gift to support you at this time. If you read on, you will understand why I created her for you.

Interestingly enough, when working with seasonal energies this heavy, fed up, bitchy energy is right on cue for this time of year. Imbolc is on Wednesday and marks the spot of mid-winter.

The mid place between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. This time of year can feel rather heavy, grey and drab in many ways, but………

We had all the celebrations at the end of December and the start of January, and there is a sense of “now what?” Some are fretting about how they are going to realise the goals they set at New Year, others are still perking their path and others are just tired, bone tired!

However, we’re starting to notice the days are getting a bit longer, there might be some tiny little shoots beginning to sprout above the surface. Have to say, all of my snowdrops are out in full force, which makes me smile with their little white bobbing heads.

There is a sense of hope & anticipation, that new life will arrive soon. And, there’s also a heaviness to it.

Why?

At Imbolc, we’re beginning to really realise, something is shifting in our lives.

Imbolc itself means “quickening in the belly”. There is something shifting and changing.

We are beginning to root a bit more into this year of 2023 with its delicious 7 energy and we are expanding in some way. (Whether you can see it or not – can’t you feel it, though?) And there is a lot of resistance that comes with big expansion.

There’s a whole lot of forces (internal and external) that want to keep you small. It’s scary to level up in your life – and there are really strong parts of us that don’t like that.

But this is the work of winter: Winter is where you integrate all your experiences from last year & it alchemizes into new life, new growth, new parts of you that will emerge in the weeks & months ahead.

Right now there’s a stretching & growing happening deep within you. (Even if you can’t see it, it’s there!) And that can be deeply uncomfortable. Depending on the shifts you’re making in your life, the resistance can be intense.

And it creates a conflict within you. This is where the question arises: do you have the strength & the courage to push through that resistance, to whatever’s on the other side? Or do you give in & lean back on old ways of operating?

This is the challenge and invitation at Imbolc.

If things feel hard for you right now, trust it’s because you are EXPANDING. You’re doing big work in your life (even if you can’t see it, yet) and you’re going to feel resistance to that.

At Imbolc, this is when the seeds of your life are planted….

So remember to take sweet, gentle care of yourself right now. Nurture yourself, nourish your spirit. And REST, sweet one. Just rest. We are still in winter. This is your most important work.

During this time, we start to move past the goal-setting stage and into the realistic planning stages. How are you going to make your intentions come to fruition?

Direct your magical intentions on rituals this month focused on new habits, goals, and plans for the future.

Take some time to really focus and be present. Contemplate your personal and spiritual intentions. This is a truly magical time, full of beautiful energy and momentum! These are the days the Full Snow Moon rises.

Let me be a reminder to be true to yourself, to your own personal truths, to the code within your soul. Truly, at this time it is essential for you to let your conscience be your guide, and to live according to your own creed, with open eyes.
