Eclipse

The Sacred Mid-Air, The Full Moon Eclipse, the Fool and the Courage to Leap.

Jenny Heston · 1:11 pm · 14 Comments

Here we are in the middle of eclipse season, with the Full Moon Eclipse happening on August 27–28.

And I don’t know about you, but lately I have felt a bit as though I am free-falling.

I’ve been going through a great change in my life. A career change, a life change, some health changes, an identity change—and a deepening.

Like most change, it is hard to say exactly when it began.

Was it eight years ago when I moved to the Island, guided by a Solstice wish?

Was it six years ago, when I accompanied my sister through the end of her life?

Was it two years ago, when two close friends and my mother passed?

I don’t exactly know when the change began, but I do know that I am somewhere in the middle of the leap now.

Because this is what the leap looks like.

The word leap sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Weightless, buoyant and graceful in flight.

Yet that is not usually how a leap feels.

When I’m in the midst of one, some days I wake up and legitimately do not know what I’m doing. Sometimes that feels humorous, sometimes it feels liberating—and sometimes it is frigging terrifying.

On the excruciating days, the ones clearly designed to grind me into some kind of imago goo, I wake up and think:

I actually do not know who I am.

And that feels like both an ending and an invitation to live differently.

The ground beneath my feet is nowhere near as solid as it used to be. Income is shifting. Visions are slipping. Relationships are swaying and solidifying into something entirely new.

I can’t see the future like I used to.

Or perhaps I can—but only a step or two ahead, like walking a deliciously winding trail where I cannot see what is waiting around the next bend.

Some days I am filled with so much hope and joy that I can feel possibility fizzing beneath all the chaos.

Other days, I am inexplicably crushed by the uncertainty of it all.

I don’t know what comes next. Not truly. I see glimpses and catch whispers, but the whole picture remains just out of sight.

Yet I know that this feeling of weightless free-fall—no tether and no familiar ground—is somehow the sign I have been waiting for. Perhaps it is even the moment I have been praying for.

Because this is what the leap looks like.

The leap looks like being ungrounded for a moment. It looks like not knowing where your feet are.

It looks like glimpsing the whole wide world before you for one glorious second—before having to focus, somewhat blindly, on the unrecognizable blur of something new rushing towards you.

It looks like having no idea how you will reach the other side, while knowing you cannot get there if you keep even one foot pinned to the ground where you are.

So you leap. (Probably whilst cursing!)

This is the energy of the Fool in tarot, standing at the edge of the cliff and about to begin an entirely new journey.

The Fool has no map tucked into that tiny bundle.

There is no carefully constructed five-year plan, no list of guarantees and no certificate proving they are qualified for whatever comes next.

The Fool stands at the edge with an open heart, a wee dog at their heels and their face lifted towards the sun.

The dog may be offering a warning—or it may be the Fool’s instinct, joy and wildness saying, Oi, let’s go!

The Fool is numbered zero: the place before the beginning.

Zero is empty and yet contains everything. It is the pause before the first note, the blank page before the first word and the moment when every possibility still exists.

The Fool can appear naïve, but their energy is not about being careless or refusing to see what is in front of them. It is about refusing to let fear make every decision.

It is curiosity over certainty.

Trust over control.

Possibility over predictability.

The Fool reminds us that we are allowed to begin before we feel completely ready.

We are allowed to be new at something. We are allowed to change direction, travel lightly and leave behind the identities and expectations that have become too heavy to carry.

There is a glorious freedom in Fool energy. It does not ask, What will everyone think? It asks, What is calling me? What makes me feel alive? What might become possible if I take the next step?

And no, the Fool does not know exactly where the path will lead.

That is the whole frigging point.

The Fool’s journey does not begin with certainty. It begins with willingness—with the courage to step away from the familiar and meet life as it unfolds.

This is what the leap looks like.

You must be willing to enter that sacred mid-air. To have no familiar anchor for a moment. To allow both feet to leave the old ground—because there is no other way to arrive somewhere new.

But sometimes we are walking towards that cliff for years.

Sometimes we forget that there is anywhere else for us to be except on the edge—the edge of our limits, the edge of our familiar world, the edge of despair.

Sometimes there is so much weight we must put down before we can leap that the shedding feels as though it has become our whole life.

The world asks us to release layer after layer after layer.

The good girl. The people pleaser. The rescuer. The person we thought we had to be. The relationships we have outgrown. The dreams that no longer fit.

The versions of ourselves that once protected us but have now become too small to live inside.

And then, eventually, one day, we leap.

We always leap—even when we begin to believe it is impossible—because the leap is inevitable.

It is how the soul moves.

At our essence, we cannot help but continue to change, deepen, remember and evolve. And so we leap.

As our feet leave the ground, we have to remind ourselves:

Do not be afraid. This is what the leap looks like.

That is the energy of the Fool.

And it is the energy of this eclipse.

Eclipses uncover things. They illuminate what we have tucked away, ignored or convinced ourselves we can continue carrying.

They bring endings and beginnings together until it can be difficult to tell which is which.

Perhaps that is why they can feel so ungrounding. Something has ended, but the new thing has not yet fully arrived.

We are neither here nor there. We are mid-air.

Lately, I look around at my family, my community and this aching world and think:

Wow. What a leap we are taking.

What a time to be here on this planet, living inside this great mid-jump uncertainty.

It is an honour, really.

And it is an honour to keep walking towards that edge ourselves.

Because our individual leaps—our willingness to release, change, speak, choose and begin again—help create the collective energy the world needs to make its own leap towards healing.

So, if you too are feeling the endless expanse of mid-air during this eclipse season…

If you read this and recognize yourself in the simple, uncomfortable sensation of not knowing…

If you sense a new era coming but cannot yet see what it will look like for you…

Take a breath. You do not need to know exactly where you are going.

You do not need to make the leap look graceful.

You do not need to have a tidy plan, the perfect answer or a frigging clue what happens next.

You simply need to remember:

You are not falling, Gorgeous Soul.

You are leaping.

And this is exactly how we reach the other side.

Blood Moon Eclipse in Virgo, Mercury is about to go Retrograde, Resilience and Spring Equinox! Phew!

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Moodling, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday!

I don’t know about you but the Spring Equinox and Eclipse energy are fully ramping up!

My dreams have been rather odd (cool, but odd) and my brain and body are making me really look at the seeds that I am intentionally planting, both figuratively and literally.

This week we get the glorious Virgo Blood Moon Eclipse on March 14th!

This is the first eclipse of the year and the season.

This is the perfect opportunity to assess, reflect and leave behind anything that is disturbing your balance or preventing you from achieving true harmony.

Now remember, eclipses uncover hidden emotions, beliefs, thought patterns and habits.

They bring to the surface the bits and bobs we have been either trying to stuff into an already over cramped closet, or have continually swept under a rug (and we wonder why the rug has a bump in the middle!)

So if you have been feeling agitated, emotional or as I like to refer to it – “itchy, twitchy and bitchy”, I’m not surprised.

With this being a Full Moon Eclipse.  Imagine the energy of a Full Moon intensified by 100, that is the energy this brings.  The releasing of a full moon, the uncovering of an eclipse and the deep, deep emotions of Virgo.

“With the Blood Moon in Virgo, we are invited to step into some of this Virgo consciousness and to remember that within us too, flows a river of wisdom, strength, and wholeness.

We are invited to connect with our inner being and to recognize that we have the power within to navigate whatever situation we may find ourselves in.

Returning to our own inner strength and intuition is going to be a powerful way to navigate this Eclipse energy.

Remember that we too, are an extension of God/Goddess and connected to all of the Universe. We are far more powerful than we have ever been led to believe.”

Then on March 15th Mercury goes retrograde.

Now instead of buying into the bad rap that Mercury retrograde gets, I invite you to weave it with the heart energy of this month, the blood moon eclipse energy and Equinox energy.

Take some time to slow down and re-lease, re-assess, re-imagine, re-create and re-member who the heck you are and what you want and why you want it.

(We are focusing on that in Flourish right now!)

Spring Equinox arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on March 20th.

Ostara (Spring Equinox) is that delicious place of change.

March has that energy of transition, caught between winter’s grasp and spring’s open arms.

The Equinox brings the time when light is perfectly balanced with the darkness.

It’s the time to re-lease the hold of winter and start planting your seeds of intention!  This is a supremely powerful time to work with Mumma Nature’s energy.

Which all ties into the energy of this Month, the Full Blood Moon and how to step into our resilience.

And again, as I said – I have created a super yummy offering called Rooted in Resiliency, that you can do at your own pace with a community to share ideas with and that will be coming out next week along with more information on the Spring Equinox.

Okay, with all that being said – let’s crack on with the reading.  When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to share their wisdom and insight with you this week, the glorious “Love Your Inner Goddess” guides came out big and bold.  Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as it would be rude not to).

“These guides have come to help you awaken and express your divine feminine spirit, to live from your heart, to empower your true self – and to discover your sacred rebel within, to say no to the voices of fear and hate and become a voice for love, truth and spirit on the earth.  Living as a soul, with truth, takes real courage in this world.  We are often taught to follow the rules and be a good boy or girl – and that if we do this, everything will be OK.

Your inner goddess thinks that is a bunch of nonsense.  She wants so much more for you.  She wants you to live a beautiful divine destiny.  She will show you how to be a loving rebel, breaking the rules that go against your heart and soul, changing the game and playing from the heart.  She’ll show you how to live the life that is meant only for you.

You are meant to stir up healing change and be a voice for what is wise, loving and true.  There are issues in our own lives and the world that need to change, that need to be healed.  Your inner goddess knows how to bring about healing change with love, playfulness, courage and dignity.  She is a fearless minx who will help you dance, love, storm and laugh your way into a more beautiful world, created from the heart. “

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a gander shall we?

ON YOUR OWN TERMS

You are not the person you once were.  You know it, but others might not always be ready to let the old you go so easily.  Do not allow yourself to be shoved back into patterns of behaviour that are not true to who you are now.  You have worked hard to grow and become this new self.  Believe that she is more real than the old you, even if she is less familiar to others (and maybe even to you) at this stage.

All that will change, and what is new now will become familiar and easy for you to sustain in the near future.  Be stubborn in a good way whilst you – and others around you – come to realise that the new you is the real you.

Others may offer their input, but when it comes down to it, it is you alone making your life decisions.  Your choice may once have been to meet the expectations and honour the opinions of other people – but you are aware now that the best choices for you actually honour your own heart, irrespective of whether others understand your reasons or feelings.

You might have to practice not feeling guilty or selfish about choosing to live your life in the way that suits your soul.  You might have to be patient with those around you who need some time to get out of the habit of expecting you to do as you are told.  It may take some time for them to adjust to the way you are now, behaving and thinking based on your own inner guidance.

You now know that you don’t have to wait for permission.  You get to choose how you want to feel, how you want to live, and who you want to be.  You’re ready for the responsibility and sweet reward of living your life on your own terms.

WARRIOR GODDESS

This is not a time to play it safe, nor is it time to allow another to take the lead in your life.  You need to believe in yourself and trust that the instincts guiding you are correct.  If you need to take action, do it.  Speak up: say yes; say no.  Trust your inner truth completely.

Be bold.

The Universe will answer your boldest actions with affirmation, and you’ll move through the consequences of your actions with grace and courage, ending up exactly where you are meant to be.

You are ready.  Life has been preparing you.  Your experiences have made you stronger and wiser.  You have spirit and you have courage.  Believe in yourself!  You are a Warrior Goddess, and empowered, divine woman.

Trust that your foundations are strong.  Put your faith in the Universe.  It has been your life coach and guide all along, helping you build up your inner resources, encouraging you to realise the power that has always been within you.

The Universe believes in you.

When you feel it is time to take a step, take it with confidence.  When you ask for help from the Universe, ask with boldness and total confidence that your prayers will be answered in the best possible way.  You have the right to require that your personal space be respected.  You have divine permission and encouragement to claim your rightful place in the world.  You are meant to say no to behaviour that is dishonest, manipulative and bullying.

The warrior goddess uses her sacred anger to set a boundary and speak her truth, not to attack another.  She uses her inner fire to live with integrity, even if the right choices for her seem hard or frightening at the time.  She knows that the Universe has her back, so she is willing to be true to herself no matter what.

She places integrity above all else.  She knows that compromising her self-respect to win a battle will end up losing her the war.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT

You are going through a spiritual initiation.  This is happening because you are ready for it, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.  The way to pass this test is to rely on the light within you.  Don’t let fear or doubt make you distrust the path ahead.

Don’t let fear or doubt make you distrust the path ahead.  Don’t give in to despair or believe that things will not work out.  You are learning to trust that the Universe knows what it is doing.  There are great and beautiful things meant for you, and no matter what appears to be right now, they will come to you in the perfect way and at the perfect time.

Light is powerful.  Some people don’t understand this.  The fear in their hearts makes them cynical.  That fear stops them from seeing what is true.  In the absence of truth, they hold on to their judgements instead.  They scoff at what they don’t understand.  Be careful of allowing such people to influence you.

It’s not wise to take advice from people who are investing in creating pain.  You can have compassion for them, but you must not underestimate how their negativity can taint your trust in the Universe.  When we feel the light within us, when we trust in it, we are able to move beyond the fear and negativity that exists in this world.  You have it within you to be that light.

The only thing that can trap you is the choice to believe in the negative and give in to the fear.

That’s not you, so don’t choose that for yourself.  Don’t listen to people who would cause you to question the light.  The light within you is the real you.

Be at peace, beautiful one, for the positive power of the light in you is stronger than any darkness.    Keep your faith in the light.  All will be well.

Holy Hannah, you seriously can not make this shit up! Releasing old patterns, being bold and being the light.  Now more than ever we all need that!  So delicious lovely, I wish for you a fabulous week filled with ease, joy and deep belly chortles.  May you always remember how special and important you are and that the world needs YOU!  Big hugs and squeezes.

See you next week where we dive into Ostara and Rooted in Resiliency.

Canadian Thanksgiving, Friday the 13th, Libra New Moon Eclipse! I love October!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 am ·

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvellous, Magnetic, Merry, Mystical, Manifesting Monday!!

Here in Canada it is our Thanksgiving weekend.  I hadn’t planned to do a reading this weekend, but I was given a firm nudge from my guides, so here we are!

So let’s go explore Thanksgiving, Friday the 13th and the Libra Moon Eclipse!

Thanksgiving is a glorious time for me filled with amazing memories, great food, great friends and family and it really brings to the forefront to remember all the things to be grateful for and to celebrate life!

I personally had an amazing weekend.  I went on a full day jaunt to a wee little island called Saturna, which I had never been to.  Why?  I had been asked to marry a wonderful couple, and  we had co-created such an amazing ceremony together, their vows were said over a huge pile of rose quartz.  It was magickal!  And as it takes a while to get there and get back (ferries) I had the opportunity to fit in some lovely hiking and exploring with a friend and the doggos.

Which in turn meant I wasn’t feeling impelled to cook a massive Thanksgiving dinner the next day and voila!  One of my boys offered to do the whole thing and host the whole fam damily, so it worked out perfectly.  And the food was fabulous!

So Friday the 13th in October – yes please!

It makes me laugh how Friday the 13th gets such a bad rap.  That it is a bad luck day, that awful things will happen and all the rest of that bullshit!

If we research why it got such a bad rap, it most likely comes from the Christian Tradition as at the Last Supper there was Jesus and 12 apostles (thus 13), Judas—a person who is said to have betrayed Jesus—was the 13th guest at the Last Supper. Also in the Bible, many unfortunate things happened on Fridays.

However, I suggest we take it back to its original meaning!

Friday the 13th is associated with various aspects of the feminine, including goddesses and the moon.

Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess, a day to worship the Divine Feminine. This association highlights the reverence for feminine energies and principles.

The 13th day often falls in the middle of the moon cycle, representing the midway point between death and rebirth. It’s a time associated with transition and change, echoing the cyclical nature of the moon.

Friday is named after Freya, a goddess, and is symbolically connected to Venus, epitomising feminine energy. This energy is believed to be particularly strong on Fridays, including Friday the 13th.

There are 13 phases of the moon in a year, which symbolise the divine feminine. This concept is not only present in astrology but has historical significance as well.

In summary, Friday the 13th has deep connections to goddesses, the moon, and the celebration of feminine energy, representing a day that embraces the Divine Feminine and its cycles.

See where I’m going with this?

The day after Friday the 13th we have the glorious Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse!

The Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse falls on October 14, and is the second Eclipse in the Aries-Libra cycle that we will be working with over the coming years.

As this Eclipse cycle is relatively new, many seeds are still being planted. We may not be able to wrap our heads around exactly the journey this Eclipse cycle will take us on, and it may feel harder to see the bigger picture.

On a collective scale, the Aries-Libra Eclipse cycle is triggering our connections, intimacy, relationships, and how we choose to show up in them. It is also working on our feelings of inner strength and confidence, reminding us that we each possess what is necessary to lead the best life possible.

On a New Moon, energy is drawn within, and we are guided to connect with our deeper truth. What is really important to us? What do we desire? How are we feeling?

By connecting with our inner world, we can unlock a new level of understanding, not just about who we are, but where we are going. We may feel new ideas bubbling or start to gain a sense of what we wish to put out into the world.

New Moons are fantastic times to set intentions, but under a New Moon Solar Eclipse, the energies are a lot stronger. With these strong energies, we can indeed set some very, very powerful intentions. What we put out into the Universe will be magnified and strong. However, as the Eclipse energies are so powerful, there is actually more magic to be found in the surrender.

This means that rather than controlling the narrative, we surrender to the Universe. We allow ourselves to flow, trusting that whatever comes our way will be exactly what we need for our current state of consciousness.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading.  When I asked the decks who wanted to show up this week I laughed my soxs off when I saw it was The Divine Circus Oracle.

“What is life if not a Divine Circus?  Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us  moments earlier.  Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary.  It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd. “

Thus, I invite you to breathe and just BE with your gorgeous self here at this moment.  Take a few lovely, rich, nourishing breaths and let the cares of the moment slide off like wee little raindrops.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

If you need some help and support releasing the “shoulds”, the weight of energy around you I have a lovely guided visualisation for you.  It’s fun, we are going on an exploration!

Did you remember to pick?

Ready to go have a look?

DARK HARLEQUIN

Bells are ringing from deep inside.  Something that once had to hide is seeking your attention.  It wants out!  It wants to be free!  As you release what was once shut away, your discomfort shall turn to glee.

You are a spiritual adventurer!  You are not afraid to go to the edge of what you know, of who you have believed yourself to be.  Even when before you there lies the darkness of unknown worlds, of undiscovered parts of you, even when you feel uncertainty, discomfort or doubt, you are still willing to figure out what it’s all about,

So you’ve come to a place in you, and in your life, where you don’t know.  You don’t know what’s happening.  You don’t know how to work through it.  You don’t know who you are (well, not all of who you are).  You don’t know what you don’t know.  You are at the point of not knowing because you are growing. There will be surprises.  There will be discoveries.  You’ll feel awkward at times, like you are trying to see in the dark.

Don’t be afraid to let there be some inner rattling and rampaging.  You are at a time when you are naturally diving into the darkness for a healing purpose.  So ask the difficult questions.  Do things you wouldn’t normally do.  Experiment with thinking in ways you wouldn’t normally think.

Be willing to let everything change for the better by first letting go of how things are now.  The messier your inner world seems to be right now, the more you can expect complete and utter transformation as a new order comes into form.  Expect the unexpected, for you were born to grow into what is happening now.

It’s time to let the wild thing out!

THE PROUD PIERETTE

If you were proud of who you are and everything you have learned in your life, free from shame, guilt or judgement, what would you choose for yourself today?  The choices you make for yourself from a place of feeling good are going to be more loving and helpful than anything from a place of self-judgement.

You’ve nothing to regret, you’ve learned a lot and you are a beautiful unique being on a wild divine journey.  Be kind to yourself.  Keep your head up!  Then it will be easier to keep growing and glowing.

Dear wild one, have you felt like you’ve lost your footing? Got a bit clumsy? Made a mistake? Have you been second-guessing your choices?  Don’t you dare doubt you!  Be proud of all you’ve done and how far you’ve come.  Never be ashamed of who you are, or the journey you’ve taken.

If you feel that life is getting you down, or you should have, or could have, made different decisions in life – be reassured, you are doing a great job!  You are meant to have learning experiences.  What matters is that you choose to learn.  And you do!  In your own time and your own way, you make sense of things, and you grow wiser and stronger as a person.

If you feel any ridicule, judgement or shaming is coming from those around you – trust you are stronger and wilder and more beautiful and true than any of that mean-spirited fearfulness.  Let the mud that is being slung slide right off or remain stuck in the hands of those throwing it your way.  Keep your sense of inner dignity intact.  Never make yourself smaller to placate the fear in another’s heart.  Take pride in who you are.

Be proud to be you!  And know that this is a way to respect and honour the creative loving power of the universe that created you!

MEANT FOR YOU

You’ve voiced your intent, setting in motion a natural creative process.  What you want has been summoned forth and is now headed your way.  Don’t hesitate, refuse to receive, or pass this gift on to another.  It is meant for you.  Grab it!  Within this new opportunity is exactly what you have been waiting for….what you have been wanting to create, what truly makes your heart sing.

What is rightfully yours is – or very soon will be – right in front of you.  Caught up in a spiralling wave of new beginnings, it is time to reach out and grab what is headed your way.  Opportunity is the universe believing in you.  Return the compliment by accepting what is being offered with open arms and a trusting heart.  You’ll be glad you did.

Don’t worry if this opportunity seems to be leading you down a different path to what you expected.  All paths lead us to where we need to be.  Sometimes the universe just has a better idea of what will get us to our destination at the perfect time, and along the pathway that will be of most benefit to all.  Trust what is happening.  Accept that you deserve good things to happen to you, and don’t be shy.

Now is your time to step up, open your mouth (and your arms) and say, “Thank you!  I accept!”

What a glorious reading for this Canadian Thanksgiving and New Moon Eclipse.  I invite you to use the energy of this day to really focus on all the people, places, situations and things that you are grateful for and to release and surrender those that don’t serve you.  Don’t forget to write down your New Moon wishes and remember – there’s magick everywhere, guidance and love everywhere.  Have a glorious week and see you next Monday.  Huge hugs and squeezes.

Post Eclipse Portal, Mothers Day and Tension………..

Jenny Heston · 5:55 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Misty, Mischievous, Magnetic, Manifesting May Monday!

How are you delicious lovely?  How was your eclipse experience?

I have heard from quite a few of you that it was rather intense and “thank goodness the frigging thing is done with!”

Hate to be the Debbie Downer here but eclipse energy goes on for a few months, so if you notice endings, things rapidly changing, remember to breathe, trust and flow, yes?

Often we desperately cling to things by our fingernails because they are “known”, they are part of our tight, wee little comfort zone, they feel safe, even if they aren’t.  After all, who wants to bump up against the electric fence of their comfort zone and make a change?

That can be scary!

There are lions and tigers and bears oh my!

Let alone the mind chatter of “What will people think?  I can’t.  I’m too old, too young, too short, too tall”…………… and the list goes on and on.

But what if you dropped into a place of Trust, Faith and pushed that electric fence wider and played with the mantra;

“Let everything that needs to go, go.  Let everything that needs to come, come.”

You will be amazed at the results (and the lack of anxiety and worry).

On top of the eclipse energy that is wafting in the breeze we have the energy of May and I will let Lena  share her wisdom and explain it to you.

The theme for May is: “TENSION”.

“Tension this month is the condition of pressure or a relentless force causing anxiety, strain, crisis, release, and change. We are stretched tight, some of us more than others, as we attempt to hold on to the past and control the future. The emotional center of the year is highlighted as we clear out old stagnation and get things flowing in a more positive direction. Fear of change and fear of the unknown is what keeps us grasping tightly to our defences, old habits and outdated beliefs.

It is hard to relax in a state of tension. Sleep cycles can be disturbed and we may be hypervigilant about what may or may not be just around the corner. Anxiety unconnected to any real situation may be a constant companion to some that are prone to it. There is physical tension in the body, pointing to necessary adjustments in self-care; emotional tension, often erupting in drama as old repressed feelings find their way up and out; and mental tension, especially related to the need to know and the fear of the unknown.

All of this may sound extremely challenging, however there can be a very positive outcome to the month but it requires certain disciplines and the willingness to deal with feelings and emotions without blame or judgement.“

Mmmm, do you see how this folds in like a victoria sponge cake into the post-eclipse energy and the mantra?

On Sunday in North America we celebrate Mother’s Day and for me personally, it’s irrelevant if you have birthed children or not.  As we have all at some point in time nurtured, mentored, supported a child – whether they were ours or not.

I also realise that Mother’s Day can be challenging for some as there are so many energies that float around that day, there’s:- love, frustration, loss, grief, disconnect, yearning, joy, expectations, connection, being invisible – and so very many more.

It reminded me of years ago when I was in a lovely Kundalini yoga class and my most amazing mentor invited us to bring in our Mother, to feel that energy of safety, unconditional love and peace.

Well, I have to say that was not what happened for me by any stretch, instead it brought up loss, abandonment, grief and some very dark emotions which had me sobbing the whole way through class!  (Gotta love how energy moves).

Afterwards I went up and shared with her my experience and she could really hear how that didn’t feel safe inviting that person in.  So instead she invited me to bring in someone who represented that mothering energy instead – so the next time I happily brought in my Great Aunt, another Aunt and a lovely older female friend.

Which in turn created a totally different experience!

So remember:-

“Let everything that needs to go, go.  Let everything that needs to come, come. “

On that note, let’s crack on with the reading.

Okay, when I went to my delicious guides and asked who wanted to come and play.

These lovely guides came in loud and proud!  If they are new to you, please let me introduce you.

“As above, so below.  As within, so without.  Today, many of us seek to reclaim the sense of connectedness that existed universally in ancient cultures, when human fate was wholly entwined with nature.

The world was seen as a symbiotic entity in which all living organisms interacted and supported each other, from the innermost cellular level to the outermost cosmological level.  An essential bridge is being rebuilt between humans and nature, allowing us to access the realm of the transcendent and the land of the luminous.

Herbalism is the medicine of belonging, a gateway through which we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source. “

With all that being shared, let’s drop in shall we? Take a delicious breath and invite in the energy of endings, as when there is an ending there is a new beginning. What needs to just gently drop away (no drama), so that something new can grow?

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a wee peak, shall we?

REISHI

Retreat

Called lingzhi in Chinese, Reishi represents immortality and is considered the “herb of spiritual potency,” meaning success, well-being, divine power, and longevity.

Said to have been discovered in 396 BC in the Changbai Mountains of China by Taoist monks, it is one of the oldest mushrooms used in medicine.  It has long been called an anti-aging mushroom and powerful Shen tonic, a category of medicines that “nourish the spirit.”

Reishi powerfully influences our main spiritual centres: the endocrine, nervous, and hormonal systems.  Hormones powerfully impact our perception, mood, sleep-wake cycles, ability to bond with others, and awareness of reality.  They activate the nervous system, which is also directly related to igniting mystical experiences.

Reishi is ruled by Jupiter, the “guru of planets,” the one that dictates how we derive wisdom and access to the mysteries of life.

Reishi is inviting you to Pause.  It’s time for renewal.

If you feel overwhelmed or mentally overloaded, it’s time to retreat.  Take the time to recuperate and recharge, and personal growth will follow.  Overstimulation and indecision lead to a sense of weakness, imprisonment, and a feeling that you are evading death.

Like Bear, hibernate or rest before you take on the next project or challenge.

Many Native American tribes have called this space of inner contemplation the Dream Lodge, a place to witness death and see beyond the confines of physical reality by visiting the dreamtime.

Create the space to be in silence and calm the internal chatter.  Take time for reflection and nurturing yourself (and we all have that time).

MITRAGYNIA

Shape Shifting

The Indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia have valued the power of this rainforest tree for thousands of years and have used it as a poultice to treat wounds, as well as treatment for a variety of symptoms, including stress, pain, fatigue and fever.

Like Coca leaves in the South American highlands, fresh leaves from the Mitragynia tree are chewed for energy and stamina throughout the day.

Mitragynia was revered among monks in Asia, as it assisted them during long periods of meditation by providing focused attention and positive energy.

Mitragynia embodies elements of both Saturn and Neptune, as it profoundly relieves and decompresses the musculoskeletal system, while granting a freeing and euphoric feeling to the body-mind.

Used in the right amounts, it can greatly assist those with addiction (Neptune).

The balanced side of Mitragynia represents the ability to shapeshift and adapt across realities.

Like the Dragonfly, Mitragynia grants us the power to break through the illusionary facade we often accept as reality, providing us the freedom from pain in order to break through limiting illusions.

Dragonflies, like Mitragynia, help us initiate subconscious healing from the trauma experienced from endless cycles of pain and suffering.

Dragonfly medicine invites us to seek out the parts of our habits that have gone unchanged, unnoticed, and stagnant.

Ask yourself, have I tended to the changes I’ve been wanting to make?

Don’t get lost in the labyrinths of self-doubt.

Break free from illusive belief systems that hold back your transformation.

ANGEL’S TRUMPET

Death

Angel’s Trumpets have an intoxicating scent and flowers that resemble angelic horns aimed downward, symbolising the call of the angels to humanity.

Plants in the Brugmansia genus and relatives like Daturas have a rich history of use among shamans and magic practitioners, even though they are poisonous.

Some South American Indigenous groups, like the Kamsa, Jivaro, and Ingano, initiate their children at a young age into the path of curanderismo – becoming a healer – by ingesting Angel’s Trumpet during a flower ceremony.

Jivaro boys who walk the shamanic path are given the medicine at the age of six to acquire an external-vision-producing soul that lets them communicate with ancestors called arutam wakani.

Angel’s Trumpet is ruled by Pluto and Mars.

Angel’s Trumpet signals a time of catharsis or death.

A deep emotional breakdown is due or near.  You may feel lost in your own emotional despair, depression, shame, or unworthiness, but now the angels of discernment and darkness are here to support you.

Coming eye to eye with the darkest feelings within yourself catalyses the greatest awakening.  Deeply pause, let go of control, and witness the broken pieces within yourself with loving awareness.

The medicine of the Bat symbolises the need for a ritualistic death of relations, situations, or aspects of life.

Bat, like Angel’s Trumpet, signals catharsis and rebirth, signalling literal or metaphysical death of old patterns and worn out habits.

Understand that you can reconstruct at any time, create something new, deeper, richer and more in alignment, regardless of how shattered you feel.

Wowzer!  Oh my giddy aunt, the messages tie in with the eclipse energy and the monthly energy (and you seriously can’t make this shit up!)

Wishing you a stupendous week and inviting the mantra into your life with trust and faith and feel the dross drop away like drops of rain off a Gortex rain jacket.  Big hugs and squeezes!

Beltane, Scorpio Eclipse, The Importance of 5, and a Gift!

Jenny Heston · 5:55 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Marvellous, Magnetic, Manifesting, May Monday!

(How’s that for alliteration?)

Happy Beltane!!

Yes, today is Beltane and the energies are so deliciously fantabulous.

And to help you tap into these expansive energies (and to have some fun), I have created the Beautiful Beltane Book for you.

I call it a booklet, but it’s 23 pages packed with rituals, suggestions, journal prompts, spells and more!  And to celebrate this magickal day it is my gift to you.

Now if rituals, lore, magick and spells aren’t your gig and you just want something simple – I have 5 Questions to Ask Yourself on Beltane.

Beltane is the cross-quarter day that marks the midpoint in Spring. We are now half way between the Spring Equinox & the Summer Solstice.

Beltane celebrates the height of Spring and the flowering of life. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active.

All of life is bursting with potent fertility, look at the trees around you – (if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere), they are bursting forth with bright green leaves and the little sparrows are back as well as the robins.  Abundant fertility, on all levels, is the central theme.

In the middle of the season there is a clear difference in the energy compared to the beginning of the season. You can see evidence that the wheel has shifted. The days are noticeably longer – the sun sets much later than it did at the Spring Equinox. It’s grown considerably warmer outside. At the Spring Equinox new life was just beginning to emerge. But here, at the beginning of May, there is no denying that the Earth has been reborn.

Beltane is a time to celebrate all the pleasures in being alive.

The Goddess has reached her fullness and is the manifestation of growth and renewal and shows up as the May Queen, Flora, the Goddess of Spring. The God emerges as the Young Oak, May King  or as Jack in the Green.

They fall in love, the union is consummated and the May Queen becomes pregnant.

Together the May Queen and the May King are symbols of the Sacred Marriage, the union of Earth and Sky.  If you have ever read “The Mists of Avalon” you will know what I am talking about.

This is the night of the Greenwood Marriage. It is about sexuality and sensuality, passion, vitality and joy. And about conception.

A brilliant moment in the Wheel of the Year to bring ideas, hopes and dreams into action. And have some fun!

And like Samhain, this is when the veil is thinnest between our world and the Fae, so leave a wee giftie out for those ancient magickal ones.

Now, let’s have a quick chat about the Scorpio Full Moon Eclipse that happens this Friday on May 5th.

Remember that eclipses come in pairs – we had one just two weeks ago on the New Moon and now we close the portal with the Full Moon one.

Even with it not being a full eclipse it amplifies the power of the Full Moon, so if you are finding your energy a wee bit whacky and things aren’t quite going as planned, breathe!

However, one of the things that stands out about this eclipse is the magic and symbolism.

“This Scorpio Lunar Eclipse falls on the 5th day of the 5th month at 14 degrees of Scorpio. 14 is also connected to the number 5 (1+4), making the number 5 energies apparent and strong.

5 is a number of change, creativity, imagination, and play. 5 is also connected to the elements- earth, air, fire, water, and ether. In astrology, the 5th house is associated with the sign of Leo, love, romance, our children, and the things we do for fun.”

The Scorpio Full Moon Lunar Eclipse doesn’t feel like play. It carries heavy energies that are likely to stir our deeper emotions. We may feel things from our past or hidden shadows coming up to the surface. Challenging information or even secrets may be revealed. We may find ourselves feeling raw, exposed, and a little vulnerable.

But invite in the energy of the number 5 and think about how our lives are a series of experiences that (depending on how we view them), can either tank us or we can invite in curiosity, play and a willingness to pivot.

Okay, that was a lot, so let’s crack on with the reading.

I laughed when I saw the guides, as I mentioned the veil is thin between us and the Fae and so the Fae decided to show up.  (You seriously can’t make this shit up).

Do I need to introduce you to them?

These glorious guides give you needed glimpses into your everyday life and help you see where changes can be made to enhance your life here on Earth.  There is so much more to our world than we often perceive.

There exist many dimensions and numerous beings that reside in these realms.  All of these elemental beings are interconnected with us.  We do not live independent of one another but are interdependent.  These wonderful beings are here to help.

Okay dear one, take a moment.

It’s so easy to just pick a random card with no intention, but what if you allowed yourself that moment of intention?  What if you dropped into your body, breathed into the tight places and just paused?  Let that quiet and stillness soothe you, calm your mind and break up your day.

Then from that place, on this day, ask your wise inner self – what do you need to hear this week?

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

Always

Infinity

Let’s talk about Infinity, shall we?

To truly understand life, you must understand that you have always been….and always will be.  You are part of the Divine Source that rules the Universe.  Your spirit and your soul are immortal.

As the physical body passes from existence your energy body survives, eventually to move back to join with the Spirit.

Your connection to Divine Spirit is never severed.  You are never alone.  You are always connected to the Source.  You are the vehicle through which the Divine Spirit manifests on Earth.

Understand your divinity and your importance on Earth.

Appreciate that every other being on Earth is equally important to the Divine Plan.

First, always be there for  yourself!

Perhaps in the past those who should have stuck by you did not.  Those you thought were true were not.

Release old pain and habit patterns and allow your highest good to manifest in your life.

Express your gratitude!

This primes the pump for a real lasting relationship, with yourself first, then someone else.  And always with the Divine.  .

Remember the elementals that are helping you along the way.  Their devotion to you is infinite and unwavering.

Fire Dance

Fire Energy

The Fire Dance represents the dance of life, for it is the giving of life, which is the function of the Kundalini energy force (also known as serpent energy).

It is through this energy that life and creation are achieved.

The Kundalini energy is a mighty force that should be allowed to awaken at its own natural pace.  It will naturally open as you become more loving and more conscious of your own divinity and connection to Spirit!

Fire energy that is awakened too soon is at risk of misdirection.  It is wiser to study, read and work on your own spiritual understanding.  This will gently let the fire energy rise.  Balance is very important in this energy system and promotes well being on all levels.

This energy is in constant use daily in conjunction with all of your energy systems, which all work together.

If you have been feeling low in energy be sure to review your eating, exercise, and sleep habits.  Take good care of yourself and make a “releasing of worries” statement to yourself and the Universe.

A delicious and easy way to help your energy systems stay in top running order, is to sit in a quiet, comfortable place and close your eyes.  Slowly imagine breathing in and out each colour of the chakra system…start with red and move to orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Imagine breathing in a beautiful mist of each colour.

Breathe each colour until it feels integrated within your body and then move to the next.  Soon you will feel more balanced and energised!

Trespassers

Boundaries

Fairies have boundaries, in case you didn’t know.

They are usually in the form of magical spells placed around sacred places in order to keep out those who might tamper with their sacred objects.  They also have an invisible magic boundary around their realm.

It is not easy to break through this boundary but it can be done when one knows the secret words!

Are  you having trouble respecting the boundaries of others?  Is someone not respecting your boundaries?

A third question is, “what kinds of boundaries or limits am I placing upon myself?”

These are questions to ask yourself in order to discover which area of your life you need to work on.  You cannot expect others to respect your boundaries if you are not clear with them yourself.

You must state clearly and honestly to others about where you draw your lines.  Be kind but clear about your expectations.

In turn, be respectful of others’ boundaries also.

Their business is their own.

With regards to the boundaries that we place upon ourselves; we often set these limitations on ourselves due to lack of confidence, self-respect, or even lack of knowledge.

Release any unwarranted restrictions that you have assumed.

Release limiting habits and thought patterns.

The dragon at your gate can either protect you or hinder you.  What will you ask it to do?

Woosah!  Happy Beltane, Happy Eclipse!  Be gentle with yourself but also push against the electric fence of your comfort zone.  Big hugs, bouquets of flowers.

You are not falling, Gorgeous Soul. You are leaping.

They sold you Barbie and called it feminine. Pink They sold you Barbie and called it feminine.

Pink, pretty, agreeable, easy to look at and easy to manage. Somewhere we started believing that was feminine energy.

That’s femininity with the wild bred out of it.

The real thing looks more like nature than a doll.

Seasons. Storms. Tides that don’t ask permission. Soft and completely untamable at once. I spent years being the polished version. The wild one was always underneath.
