Belonging in the Season of the Otherworld

Jenny Heston · 2:22 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

We’ve stepped across a threshold, love.
We’re officially in the season of the Otherworld. šŸ‚

The winds of autumn are carrying whispers from the unseen realm, and this month’s reading comes as a balm for the nervous system with one clear, steady message:

You belong.

No matter what chaos is blowing in from the outer world right now, the message for October is simple and profound—we can create stone circles of stability within ourselves.

Anchors in times of change.

Places where we remember: we are heard, we are held, we are not alone.

Why Autumn Feels Different

The ancient Celts knew this. They felt autumn as the richest time of year to connect with the unseen. The veil thins, the harvest comes in, and the visible world above ground begins to retreat back into the earth. That’s when the Otherworld rises closer—full of healing, creativity, and possibility.

And haven’t you felt it? That subtle shift? The way dreams turn wilder, intuitions grow sharper, and sometimes your ancestors seem to slip into the room beside you?

Autumn holds both withering and abundance. It asks us to gather in what has ripened and to let go of what no longer serves. It carries loss and it carries possibility.

It is an initiation into your own mythical unfolding.

Creating Your Stone Circle

When I think of this season, I think of stone circles—ritual places built at thresholds, aligned with the solstices, equinoxes, and stars. They were meant to hold people steady through great change.

This month’s invitation is to create your own ā€œstone circle.ā€
✨ Maybe it’s a quiet corner in your home that you return to each week.
✨ Maybe it’s time set aside for meditation, journaling, or walking in nature.
✨ Maybe it’s a candle lit every evening, marking your center.

Whatever it looks like for you, let it be your anchor. A place where you can step back into your inner world, reconnect with your own center, and remember your belonging.

Because here’s the truth: if you are not at the center of your own world, your world has no center. Autumn is reminding you now—it’s safe to take that place. It’s necessary.

The Thinning of the Veil

October always carries huge gifts, messages and visions for me.

Ancestors show up in my dreams, insights arrive unannounced, new pathways open.

And I want you to be open to that too.

Yes, the outer world may feel chaotic this month.

But inside, through your anchor points, you can connect to something steady and luminous. Think of it as touching into rainbows underground while the storm rages above.

This is the balance of autumn—the seen world fading, the unseen rising.

And in that balance, your soul expands.

The Aries Super Full Moon – October 7

This Full Moon is like an exhale after the intensity of the eclipses. It’s asking: What are you ready to let go of? What has served its time?

Because it’s the first Full Moon since Equinox, it also brings to fruition intentions seeded back in March. Something you began earlier this year may now come to harvest—or return for another layer of learning.

And, by just a day, this moon is the Harvest Moon. It invites you to gather what this year has given you—not only food or things, but the wisdom, the lessons, the growth.

Even as baskets fill, the withering begins. And that’s the deeper teaching: endings are not failures, they are the natural turn toward rest.

Walking with the Ancestors

As we move toward Samhain, ancestry is alive in the air. The same moonlight that shines on your face once touched those who walked before you.

Their presence is woven into this season, reminding us that we belong to something larger, older, and enduring.

So this October, build your stone circle. Touch into your center. Let yourself belong—to yourself, to your ancestors, to this living, breathing world.

Because you are not walking this season alone.
You are heard.
You are held.
✨ You belong.

So with all that being shared and said. Take a breath, see a glorious stone circle that welcomes you and then pick the card or cards that whisper.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go see shall we?

HOWL WITH FIERCENESS

Wolves, like women, have been regulated to the dangerous side of wildlife.

Both species are greatly misunderstood and often accused of menace.

Yet women, like wolves, possess a propensity for courage in the face of danger, strength in the quest for well-being, and loyalty to mate and tribe.

When we are no longer willing to shame ourselves for our natural fierceness, or condemn ourselves (or others) for the need to love and hunt and roam free, Wild Woman rises.

What do you need to be fierce about?

Are you willing to let it out?

If you are choking down your words to ā€œfit inā€ and call it a life, you are being invited to tap into your wolf energy.

GATHER YOUR TRIBE

They say your vibe attracts your tribe, and nothing brings them to you more swiftly than when you’re willing to be clear about who you are and what you want and why you want it.

No more people pleasing to make others happy.

If you have to contort and compromise, they’re not your people.

When we allow and attract versus contort and demand, we gather the lost pieces of ourselves together and Wild Woman rises.

Where is the box feeling a tad tight?

Where are you not using your authentic, delicious soul voice?

CHAMPION PEACE

Your mind is a temple where peace yearns to be worshipped.

It’s easy to respond to war with war, especially within ourselves.

One judgemental thought leads to another and soon your mind is a battle zone.

But peace and war cannot rule simultaneously.

You get to choose who will rule the mind’s temple.

Right now you’re being invited to become an advocate of peace.

When we choose love over fear and peace over war, Wild Woman rises.

Do you fill your mind with the news, hate the divisiveness and allow it to take hold?

Where do you let yourself in your mind and body walk in love and peace?

Oh my golly goodness!Ā  You seriously can’t make this shit up!Ā  What perfect guides for this time!!!Ā  So my gorgeous one, I wish for you a week where you invite in the stone circle, create your anchor points and allow yourself to breathe in your ancestors, whether of blood or choice – and start to listen to their guidance.

Sending you massive hugs and squeezes!

Love and Prayer: A Sanctuary in Shifting Times.

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

How are you Gorgeous Soul?

First off, thank you so much for all your glorious Birthday messages and wishes, they were greatly received and appreciated.

I will say being dressed up as an inflatable T-Rex with Unicorn friends, dancing and blowing bubbles on the Legislature lawn and wandering the Inner Harbour was pretty frigging epic, and it made so many people laugh and smile.

One woman cried as she was having a dismal day and encountering us and being invited to play, be hugged helped.

Though trying to fit us all into a Horse Drawn Carriage was hilarious, so there was a lot of laughter (which is glorious medicine). (Donner, the horse was very patient with us!)

Secondly, yes there are a few spaces left for the Equinox Reading Special. Which ends on September 30th.

Okay, we are going to talk about LOVE AND PRAYER this week.

Now you may be thinking – ummmm, errr, Jenny WTF? Let me explain.

The World is Pretty Chaotic at the moment – yes?

And if you are someone who gets lost in the chaos by having the news blaring all the time it can knock you off center, take you into the place of divisiveness and judgement.

This month and especially this last week have been full on! Full on with clients, teaching, leading amazing ceremonies, weddings, celebrations and choosing to show up at 100%.

Yes we have multiple strikes happening, yes various world leaders are bonkers, yes some days it takes a lot of energy to get out of bed and stay out of fear.

So what helps? LOVE AND PRAYER

We all know those days. The ones that begin sideways before your first sip of coffee—when nothing flows and everything feels too much.

Or the quieter struggles: bills piling, sales stalling, that ache of ā€œwhy me, why now?ā€

Here’s the truth: there is a way through.

A simple, sacred formula. Stand in love. Begin with prayer.

When we stand in love, blame softens. Perspective widens.

Life’s storms don’t vanish, but they shrink to their proper size. We shift from asking what we can get to what we can give.

And then—prayer. Five minutes, thirty, whispered words or silent breath. Ancient chants or a raw ā€œDear God, what the hell?ā€ There is no wrong way.

Prayer lifts us out of ego, reconnects us to grace, reminds us of what we already carry: love, generosity, breath, life.

Some days it will feel alive and luminous, others flat and routine. Pray anyway. The practice itself is the gift.

Prayer nourishes our spirit, blesses those we love, and opens the heart wide enough to bless strangers too.

It doesn’t need to be grand. A whispered word in traffic. A cup of coffee on the porch. A song half-sung to the sky.

Prayer and love are the threads that hold us steady when life feels unravelled. They remind us that even in challenge, we are connected, seen, and never alone.

Okay, I have chuntered on long enough.  Let’s crack on with the reading.

When I asked the cards who wanted to talk and guide this week I laughed to see that it is the  delicious Spirit of the Animals.

Okay delicious lovely, take a gorgeous deep breath and allow your shoulders to drop and your jaw to gently relax.Ā  I invite you to see in your mind’s eye a place of stillness, a place filled with ease and flow, a place where you feel connected to earth and source.Ā

From this place pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

There is a glorious guided visualisation for you, if you choose. It’s fun!

Did you Remember to Pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

PENGUIN

Authentic

Penguin is the bird that cannot fly but instead swims.  They can see better underwater than on land, symbolising better access to the subconscious mind than usual.

Penguins are full of surprises just like the people they represent.  The males and females experience role reversals.  Male penguins will sit on the eggs for months while their female counterparts hunt for food.

Penguin urges you to adapt to extreme circumstances, break free from expectations and reinvent yourself.  Penguin says adapt, change, find your tribe, sing and celebrate your uniqueness.

Penguin people often feel awkward or out of place.  Tapping into Penguin energy can help you embrace your differences.  Self – acceptance is a big part of Penguin medicine.  They remind us that there is no right way to be!

Like all diving birds, Penguin relates to the truth that lies below the surface.  Maybe Penguin is telling you to go below, find your deeper truth and your most authentic self.

These are things in life that really matter.  Finding like minded people (your tribe) will help you see your beauty as you see theirs.

The wisdom of Penguin asks you to just be the unique and colourful person that you are!

Break free from others’ expectations.

Love your uniqueness.  Just be Yourself!

PRONGHORN

Action

While it is often called an antelope, the pronghorn is a unique species native to North America.  Their thick hide protects them from the cold and predators.

Pronghorns’ energy, quick wit and speed are their gifts.

They never drop their antlers, which like antennas represent connection spirit, psychic abilities and intuition.

For Pronghorn, these gifts remain a constant in their lives.  Their strong sense of smell and hearing helps them know when things are not right.

If Pronghorn has come to you, you are energetic and have an agile mind.  You will have all you ever need.  Your intuitive gifts help keep you alerted to danger when you listen.

There is a new path on offer, use your keen eyesight to find the way. In other words, the Antelope meaning reminds you to make your decisions wisely by using your instincts rather than your intellect

Pronghorn people are ultimate adaptors and possess the power of survival.  If Pronghorn crosses your path it is saying ā€œDo it now, don’t wait.ā€  Trust your intuition, harness your courage and get ready to ā€œtake the leap.ā€

Your talents will always

Help you land on the pinnacle.

Your quick wit and keen senses

Will lead you to success.

SEA OTTER

Happiness

You are being called to the spontaneous art of playful living.

Otter people swim in the iconic watery world of their intuition and feelings.  Otter people are inclusive and welcome the company of family, tribe and community.

Otter people know how to ā€œgo with the flowā€ and master celebrating life with simple things.

Otter energy is the playfulness of a child, available to us at any age.  They have a giddiness and reverence for life itself, without the presence of doubt, worry, or skepticism.

Are you fighting life’s currents?

Imagine yourself with a little more Otter energy.  What would life look like?  What would it take to bring you there?

Your inner child needs room to frolic and play and if you let it out, you will be sure to enjoy life and not simply endure it.  Let Otter lead you to all that is good in the world: happiness, abundance, friends and love.  The celebration awaits!

Be the master of playful living.

Release expectations and enjoy every day.

Let worry go and instead choose love.

Surrender to the waves.

Your good destiny of love is sure.

What glorious guides for this week as we head into October! Wishing you a stupendous week filled with Ease, Love, Joy and Remembering – You are okay! Big hugs and squeezes!

🌾 Mabon Magick & Birthday Blessings!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

How are you?  How was your Virgo New Moon Eclipse?

Today is Equinox and my birthday!Ā Ā

I was reflecting that on my birthday/equinox last year I climbed up a Tor in County Cavan at 5:30 in the morning to gather with 200+ people who had made the trek in the dark for a glorious Celtic Equinox Celebration.  It was frigging amazing!

This year I thought of how I wanted to celebrate my birthday and realised I have never ridden a city bus since moving to the Island, nor have I ever worn an inflatable costume!  (Can you see where this is going?)

Some of my amazing friends are willing to come play with me on this venture and we are going as Fairy Unicorns and Dinosaurs in our inflatable costumes, and will be riding a bus and then dancing on the lawn of the Legislative Grounds with our bubble wands!  (If there is no reading next week, we may possibly have been detained lol).

Why am I doing this?

Because it will make me laugh, and probably make a lot of other people laugh and smile and quite frankly I think we could all do with a little playfulness and lightness regularly.  Yes?

Before we chat about Equinox (briefly), as I mentioned last week.

Yes, I am opening 20 spots only from Equinox until the end of September for readings.Ā  I am offering two reading specials – the Archetype or the Mabon spread, or you can choose one of the regular readings.

Up to you.

Okay, take a breath – Mabon/Equinox is here , that place of balance, gratitude and bounty – both inner and outer!

In celebrating Mabon we give ourselves time to focus on gratitude and open our hearts to the great natural world around us.  Gratitude is so empowering and healing:  it helps us to create a conscious connection with each other and the universe and see our life’s journey as an endless cycle of in-breath and out-breath, of giving and receiving.

We are beginning to turn inward. This is a time of balance just as it is for the natural world around us. We feel the coming of the darkness and are pulled towards our spiritual side in a new way.

Here is a lovely Equinox Blessing for you to repeat to yourself slowly and let the words seep into your soul.

A couple of great questions to ask yourself at this time are – Where do I need Equinox’s balance in my life right now?Ā  What am I being called to let go of for myself this season like falling leaves? Ā

It has been amazing to hear how many of you have taken advantage of the incredible offer on the Mabon Magickal Playbook and have shared with me how supportive it feels, how it is connecting you back to a place you had forgotten, and the rituals you are trying out.  That makes me smile from ear to ear!  Whoot!

Chuntered enough, so let’s crack on.

Okay so let’s get centred shall we.Ā  Just gently breathe yourself back into your body, be here now, just at this moment.Ā  I invite you to see in your mind’s eye the Divine Mother (whatever she looks like to you), breathe.Ā  Then imagine her putting one hand on your feet and one hand on your head and saying ā€œEverything between my two hands is beloved and blessed by the Goddess.ā€ Breathe that blessing in, allow it to swirl through you and know how loved you are.Ā  Then when you’re ready; pick the card or cards that wish to bless you this week.Ā Ā

Did you pick?

Shall we go see?

ABRACADABRA

Say it with me:  ā€œAbracadabra.ā€

The word has been associated with hocus pocus sleight of hand trickery.  But it’s so much more.

It’s an Aramaic word meaning ā€œI create as I speak.ā€

This is the time to believe in your vision, and honour the power of that light source.  Draw close to wonder.  Embrace possibilities.  Your dreams ache for a way into the world.

You are their lighthouse, delivering them from etheric waters into the harbour of reality.

Let yourself be their ally.  Hold onto the truth behind all manifestations:  Seeing is not believing; believing is seeing.

Believing in the magic helps manifest it into the material realm of your life.

Say it again – Abracadabra.

BUBBLE YOUR BOUNDARIES

Sometimes you just have to live in your own bubble.

Your energy and vision are worthy of being protected.

This moment asks you to treasure your value and guard it with a bubble of protective energy.

This isn’t just about an ability to say no to what doesn’t serve you.  This moment is more about you holding space for Source as it lives in you.

Resit looking to an outside source for that sense of protection: a romantic partner, intimate friends, family.

Right now your challenge is to honour yourself as the Beloved.

Cast the sacred circle around your body and soul.

Imagine facing our current reality from within its loving, protective embrace.

You get to choose what enters that sacred space, and what must remain outside.

EMBRACE SELF COMPASSION

All beings deserve compassion.  Why would your dear self be any different?

Compassion is praised in our culture, but self-compassion is seen as indulgent and weak.

This moment calls you into acts of loving kindness.  Toward you.  By you.

Human beings are hardwired for love and struggle.

One of the best ways to practice resilience between the two is self-compassion.

Put your arms around your inner self with all the gentleness you can muster.

Consider this:  You are the only you in the entire universe.  You deserve to experience love from the inside out, independent of what the world offers or takes away.

Nothing can change your inherent value.

It is the golden Hart of mythic lore.

Treasure it with kind thoughts.

Oh my gosh, I so, so, so love the cards.Ā  Perfect for this moment in time!Ā  So the most delicious one, please take a moment to breathe in gratitude and like a tree, allow the leaves of release to drop like cosmic compost.Ā  If you haven’t grabbed a copy of the Mabon Magickal Playbook IĀ  highly suggest it.Ā  Oh yes, and come play with the Archetypes (they are really quite stupendous!) and see who wants to walk with you until the Winter Solstice, or take advantage of another reading.Ā Ā

Take good care of yourself, go kick up some Fall leaves and remember – you are loved, supported and seen! Ā  Big love, hugs and Blessings!

Walking the Eclipse Gateway: A Threshold into Balance.

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Hello gorgeous soul,

There is so much delicious magickal energy swirling around right now.

We are in the middle of the Eclipse gateway, the Virgo New Moon Eclipse on September 21st and then we have Fall Equinox on the 22nd!Ā  Wowzer,

So grab a cuppa, let’s nestle down and have a wee chat shall we?

First, let me ask – How are you doing in the midst of the Eclipse Gateway?  Lol

I have had lots of feedback and emails from you ranging from WTF to I finally RELEASED it, but now what?

I have also received multiple questions basically saying:

HELP: Is there going to be a Magickal Mabon book this year?  Yes

This year we have the Mabon Magickal Playbook filled with everything to connect you into Fall Equinox and because Equinox is my birthday I am offering it to you 2/3rds off.

HELP are you going to do readings? Yes.

On Equinox I will open 20 spots only with focused seasonal readings for this time, and I will post that invitation next week.

Now back to the Eclipse gateway.

We are in the midst of a Lunar to Solar gateway (and that does make a difference).

When you are walking the Eclipse Gateway between a Lunar Eclipse to a Solar Eclipse, usually there is a theme of release and letting go in order to make space for the new.

Lunar Eclipses have the ability to pull and drag things out of you, almost like the Moon’s gravitational pull helps to draw things out that have been buried deep within.

This ā€œpullingā€ or ā€œdrawing outā€ energy helps you to release things that are no longer serving you and can bring old thoughts, patterns, and beliefs to the surface in order to be cleared.

As you walk the Eclipse Gateway after a Lunar Eclipse, it is likely you may feel drained and lethargic. You may also feel the need to go within, reflect, and spend time on your own.

Hidden truths and feelings may also come to the surface, and you may have to deal with old wounds that you had pushed away or forgotten about.

Lunar Eclipses always challenge us to dig a little deeper and push a little further so we can create more awareness around our thoughts and habits, and this is something that definitely intensifies as we move through the Gateway.

Lunar Eclipses can also bring endings, and these endings often occur during the Gateway period itself.

As you move closer to the Solar Eclipse, a sense of lightness usually follows, and you may even start to feel space being created in your life.

Ending with a Solar Eclipse indicates that the months ahead are all going to be focused on creating the new and filling this new space in your life with something more positive and aligned.

It also indicates that the months ahead are going to be filled with action and energy, and you are going to be supported to move forward.

Do remember that on the Virgo New Moon Eclipse, this is not the time to set intentions.  It’s more a case of letting the dust settle a bit.

Then the next day is Fall Equinox!Ā  Frigging love this celebration.

During the equinox, the Sun crosses the equator, effectively moving from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere.

What’s truly intriguing is that the equinox delivers almost equal portions of day and night.

This balance of light and dark makes it an extraordinary time for magical practices, as it serves as a liminal space where energies are uniquely harmonized.

It’s like the universe is pausing, giving us a chance to recalibrate.

Traditionally, this period heralds the beginning of harvest season, a time celebrated by agricultural societies with various harvest festivals.

In nature, animals take this as their cue to prep for winter, either hoarding food or commencing their migrations to warmer locales.

If you’re into historical landmarks, you might be fascinated to know that Stonehenge aligns precisely with the Sun’s position during both the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes.

During the equinox, its alignment with the Sun is so precise that it defies coincidence.

Our ancestors knew that this wasn’t just a day; it was a gateway, a moment of potent energy that demanded attention and action for the welfare of the community and the individual alike.

Hence why I created the Mabon Magickal Playbook, she is Sassy, Soulful and Spellbinding (her words, not mine lol).

She invites you to step into the golden glow of Autumn and her playful mystical voice will remind you: balance is sexy, gratitude is powerful, release is sacred.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading shall we?

Take a glorious deep breath out, let all the stale old air just leave your body and at the end of your exhale hold for the count of 3.  Now take a deep breath in and as you fill yourself with this glorious prana energy, invite in the energy of change and release.  Let it swirl through your cells and into your heart space.

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug or entice you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go see shall we?

ACCOUNTABILITY

When we take responsibility for our choices, we gain integrity and the right relationship with ourselves.  Optimally, our decisions are conscious ones made with consideration for the likely consequences for all involved.  However, this is not always the case.

In life, we learn as we go.  As we become aware of a more beneficial way to handle ourselves, others and life, we do so accordingly.  We maximise our chances of this when we remain open to addressing any damage or ill feelings that arise toward ourselves and others.

The refusal to acknowledge our flaws and imperfections that show up in moments of poor discernment and behaviour thwarts our growth and inner harmony.

Life gets easier and infinitely more beautiful and warm, the second we accept that we – like everyone else – are humanly imperfect and that this is perfectly acceptable.

The things we wish we had not done or had approached differently are gifts.

They are necessary for learning how to do things differently going forward.  They are also what make us increasingly compassionate and understanding of others and their actions.  We are not our mistake but what we do with them.  All of our past choices can be used to help us grow into the truth of ourselves.

They help us identify what is aligned with our Spirit Self in the less obvious places.

Accountability is an act of self-love, compassion, and acceptance that benefits all.  However, the most important person to be accountable to is yourself.

It can be helpful to develop the habit of checking in with  yourself each day by asking:  What am I doing and why?  Is this aligned with my values and Spirit Self? If so, proceed.

If not, ask yourself: Is there another way, a way that feels good and true for me to continue, or does this behaviour, thinking, situation, or person need to go?  Do I need the perspective of someone who knows better and is more experienced in this area?

When you are accountable, you stand empowered, confident, and with integrity.

BROKEN DREAMS

We break our dreams when we cease to believe in them and ourselves.

Our attitude toward disappointment, perceived failures, and rejection has the power to derail our confidence.  When a prolonged state of defeat and doubt ensues, we not only give up on our dreams and ourselves but also on what makes us feel alive.

It can be hard, but we need to trust that the way to realise our dreams is by persisting and working with the disappointments as well as any perceived failures or rejections.  Perceived setbacks are often opportunities to learn to think differently, to develop further, and to explore new ways of realising our vision.

When we interpret, and therefore turn, challenges into actual setbacks, it can feel like the world has rejected us.  In response to this feeling, we give up too soon.

The world does not reject us.  It cannot.  Of course, it may feel like it does, but what is more likely to have transpired is that certain individuals, organisations, and opportunities have said no to us for one thing at one point in time.

The world is full of many more individuals, organisations and opportunities if we continue to say yes to ourselves.

To abandon your dreams is to abandon yourself.  There is no need for this.  Explore ways of doing what you love differently.  Being flexible with the way that you go about realising your vision will save you from much unnecessary heartache, regret, lost time, and despair.

Do what makes you feel alive in your life.

Never lose sight of what lights you up and makes your Spirit Self sing.  No matter what.

CIRCLES

Our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and relationship patterns are potentially detrimentally circular when they remain unconscious.

Without acknowledging that we do not know what we are doing or how to get different results, it seems as though the same disappointments, ruts, and detours keep happening to us.  This is because we do not realise our subconscious part in these unwanted reoccurrences.  Nor that we have the power to exit the unmerry-go-round.

If we do nothing different, nothing different happens.  We will only continue to re-enact our default setting automatically.  A life lived in circles inevitably limits what is possible for us.

It can also be particularly harmful when toxic relationships, addiction, or financial dependence is involved.  Awareness of how we perpetuate more of the same is necessary before we can consciously create an upward and outward spiral of life for ourselves.

Circles that spiral downward are the effects of unconscious repetition and confusion.  In this sense, we are the ones who prohibit us from venturing forth upon new ground.  To acknowledge that we do not know what to do about something, we begin to see with increasing clarity, logic, desires and emotions what is confusing and therefore prohibiting us.

Once we can see things for what they are, we can recognise what we can do about them.

There is always more than one way out of any circle.  You are ready to be free and go forth.

Focus your attention on who you are without the loops, fears, distractions, and preoccupations.

In other words, focus on who you would be and what you would do without the problems, drama, impossible lifestyle, or comfort zone you may be circling.

You are your white horse, ever equipped to venture forward.

Wowzer!  Those are some deliciously potent messages for this month and this New Moon.

Sending you big hugs and squeezes, grabĀ  your Mabon Magickal Playbook, keep your eyes peeled for the Equinox reading and remember……

Be kind to yourself, be true to yourself, be honest with yourself.

Woven Together –

Jenny Heston · 1:11 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Misty, Mischievous, Magnetic, Manifesting Monday!

Hello my darling, darling – can you believe it is the last Monday of July!

This is going to be the last reading until September as in August I am immersed in ceremony and ritual, writing and teaching and cooking up amazing offerings in my alchemist cauldron.

But I will be back! (Yes that is a threat lol).

In a chaotic world that continually tries to convince us that we are divided and not connected I had a huge smack in the face this weekend of how wrong and patriarchal that is!

On Saturday I had the honour of leading a gorgeous Blessing Way ceremony for my dear friend Verity who is about to become a mumma.Ā Ā

This is a glorious ceremony and celebration filled with ritual, depth and is honouring the Divine Feminine and the transition into motherhood – honouring the mumma.Ā

Bringing us back to our roots!

This is a sacred celebration that crosses cultures and has been around for thousands of years thus is rich with wisdom, potency and magick, and each ceremony is specially crafted for the mumma to be to support them during labour and to welcome in a gorgeous new soul into the world.

As I was setting up for the ceremony on Saturday in my sanctuary garden (as that is where Verity chose), one of the themes was the weaving together of all the women that would be attending and the plant allies lavender and rose.

I had made lavender lemonade, lavender shortbread cookies as part of the nibbles, and woven lavender posies and lavender oatmeal bath bags as gifts for everyone who was attending.

Then it hit me – lavender!

My sister loved, loved lavender and would have it with her all the time. For me it is Rose, I have it with me all the time!

Today (Monday) is my sister’s birthday and on this day 6 years ago my brother in law and I had the honour of bathing her in a bath with lavender and helping her pick out the outfit she wanted to wear as 4 of her treasured friends were going to come and celebrate her birthday at the Hospice with her for an hour in the afternoon.

After getting dressed she said she would have a little nap before everyone got there and she snuggled down on her bed in a room that I had filled with sunflowers, lavender and roses and that was the last time she was fully conscious.Ā  She died 3 days later.

My brother in law (who lives in the UK) had phoned and left me a lovely long voice message on Saturday about how he wanted to get more lavender plants and put them in the garden as they reminded him of Fi and how he wanted one of the Hansa Roses (that are my favourite as their smell is divine) to sit in the middle of them.

Wowzer, wowzer, talk about all the threads that weave us together.

Birth and Death.

Celebration and Grief.

Scents and Memories.

Heart and Hands.

What connects us is often unseen—woven in story, memory, and heart.

So if you ever feel that you are alone and that you are out there on your own – please remember that you aren’t.

In the spaces between words, hands, and moments—we find the fabric of belonging.

I will say the Blessing Way was epic, beautiful, raw and real and hummingbirds and dragonflies came to play with all of us as we were surrounded by the green of my magickal sanctuary.

And today, I am going to play with lavender and make a glorious cake in honour of my most amazing sister that I love dearly.

Okay, enough chuntering on, let’s crack on with the reading.

When I went to my delicious guides and asked who wanted to come and play.

These lovely guides came in loud and proud!  If they are new to you, please let me introduce you.

ā€œAs above, so below.  As within, so without.  Today, many of us seek to reclaim the sense of connectedness that existed universally in ancient cultures, when human fate was wholly entwined with nature.

The world was seen as a symbiotic entity in which all living organisms interacted and supported each other, from the innermost cellular level to the outermost cosmological level.  An essential bridge is being rebuilt between humans and nature, allowing us to access the realm of the transcendent and the land of the luminous.

Herbalism is the medicine of belonging, a gateway through which we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source. ā€œ

With all that being shared, let’s drop in shall we? Take a delicious breath and invite in the energy of endings, as when there is an ending there is a new beginning.

What needs to just gently drop away (no drama), so that something new can grow?

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

REISHI

Retreat

Called lingzhi in Chinese, Reishi represents immortality and is considered the ā€œherb of spiritual potency,ā€ meaning success, well-being, divine power, and longevity.

Said to have been discovered in 396 BC in the Changbai Mountains of China by Taoist monks, it is one of the oldest mushrooms used in medicine.  It has long been called an anti-aging mushroom and powerful Shen tonic, a category of medicines that ā€œnourish the spirit.ā€

Reishi powerfully influences our main spiritual centres: the endocrine, nervous, and hormonal systems.  Hormones powerfully impact our perception, mood, sleep-wake cycles, ability to bond with others, and awareness of reality.  They activate the nervous system, which is also directly related to igniting mystical experiences.

Reishi is ruled by Jupiter, the ā€œguru of planets,ā€ the one that dictates how we derive wisdom and access to the mysteries of life.

Reishi is inviting you to Pause.  It’s time for renewal.

If you feel overwhelmed or mentally overloaded, it’s time to retreat.  Take the time to recuperate and recharge, and personal growth will follow.  Overstimulation and indecision lead to a sense of weakness, imprisonment, and a feeling that you are evading death.

Like Bear, hibernate or rest before you take on the next project or challenge.

Many Native American tribes have called this space of inner contemplation the Dream Lodge, a place to witness death and see beyond the confines of physical reality by visiting the dreamtime.

Create the space to be in silence and calm the internal chatter.  Take time for reflection and nurturing yourself (and we all have that time).

MITRAGYNIA

Shape Shifting

The Indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia have valued the power of this rainforest tree for thousands of years and have used it as a poultice to treat wounds, as well as treatment for a variety of symptoms, including stress, pain, fatigue and fever.

Like Coca leaves in the South American highlands, fresh leaves from the Mitragynia tree are chewed for energy and stamina throughout the day.

Mitragynia was revered among monks in Asia, as it assisted them during long periods of meditation by providing focused attention and positive energy.

Mitragynia embodies elements of both Saturn and Neptune, as it profoundly relieves and decompresses the musculoskeletal system, while granting a freeing and euphoric feeling to the body-mind.

Used in the right amounts, it can greatly assist those with addiction (Neptune).

The balanced side of Mitragynia represents the ability to shapeshift and adapt across realities.

Like the Dragonfly, Mitragynia grants us the power to break through the illusionary facade we often accept as reality, providing us the freedom from pain in order to break through limiting illusions.

Dragonflies, like Mitragynia, help us initiate subconscious healing from the trauma experienced from endless cycles of pain and suffering.

Dragonfly medicine invites us to seek out the parts of our habits that have gone unchanged, unnoticed, and stagnant.

Ask yourself, have I tended to the changes I’ve been wanting to make?

Don’t get lost in the labyrinths of self-doubt.

Break free from illusive belief systems that hold back your transformation.

ANGEL’S TRUMPET

Death

Angel’s Trumpets have an intoxicating scent and flowers that resemble angelic horns aimed downward, symbolising the call of the angels to humanity.

Plants in the Brugmansia genus and relatives like Daturas have a rich history of use among shamans and magic practitioners, even though they are poisonous.

Some South American Indigenous groups, like the Kamsa, Jivaro, and Ingano, initiate their children at a young age into the path of curanderismo ā€“ becoming a healer – by ingesting Angel’s Trumpet during a flower ceremony.

Jivaro boys who walk the shamanic path are given the medicine at the age of six to acquire an external-vision-producing soul that lets them communicate with ancestors called arutam wakani.

Angel’s Trumpet is ruled by Pluto and Mars.

Angel’s Trumpet signals a time of catharsis or death.

A deep emotional breakdown is due or near.  You may feel lost in your own emotional despair, depression, shame, or unworthiness, but now the angels of discernment and darkness are here to support you.

Coming eye to eye with the darkest feelings within yourself catalyses the greatest awakening.  Deeply pause, let go of control, and witness the broken pieces within yourself with loving awareness.

The medicine of the Bat symbolises the need for a ritualistic death of relations, situations, or aspects of life.

Bat, like Angel’s Trumpet, signals catharsis and rebirth, signalling literal or metaphysical death of old patterns and worn out habits.

Understand that you can reconstruct at any time, create something new, deeper, richer and more in alignment, regardless of how shattered you feel.

Wowzer!  Love these messages and they tie into the monthly energy (and you seriously can’t make this shit up!)

Wishing you a stupendous week filled with ease, grace and health.Ā  See you in September! Big hugs and squeezes!

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. šŸŒ•šŸ©µ

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain water was too strong and some were drowning. šŸ„ŗšŸ

Without bees we have nothing.
No flowers.
No food.
No Spring magic.

So this is your reminder to leave water out, plant flowers and protect the tiny wild things. They are holding the world together. 🌼✨

We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ wo We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of ā€œnatureā€ we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the SĆdhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other ā€œthin placesā€ at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire šŸ”„ ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place šŸŒ€
