Do you rent out your mind?

Jenny Heston · 2:10 am ·

For RentNow I know that may sound a tad odd, very much like some weird sci-fi movie, or that a succubus snuck into your bedroom whilst you were sleeping, however, neither are the case.Ā  Caroline Myss uses a fabulous analogy of looking at your daily energy in a monetary way.Ā  You have $100.00 of energy on a daily basis.Ā  So let’s examine it.

The alarm goes off, you slowly pry your eyes open and the day begins.Ā  You know for a fact you have $100 worth of energy to invest in your day, your present, your future and all those things you want to create.Ā  As you stumble to the shower you remember the negative comment your partner said the night before and you dwell on it as you soap up and wash your hair, gone is $10.Ā  You now have $90 to invest in you, your dreams your goals, your DESIRES!Ā  All those wonderful things that make your heart sing, your soul soar and make you feel grateful you are alive and living the life you have. Cutting the ties that bind.

Tapestry threadsDo you ever think of your life as a gorgeous tapestry where are all the various threads of your different relationships are woven together to create an amazing picture that you revel in?Ā  I do.

Another way I look at it is one of those deep piled, soft, richly coloured, warm, plush blankets.Ā  Each person in my life has a colour distinctive to them and they wend and wind throughout my blanket.Ā  Sometimes those threads overlap others and are dominant in an area, in other areas of the blanket they aren’t as present, and instead there is a different colour.Ā  However, it is the combination of all those relationship threads that make such a sumptuous blanket that you know at any time you can wrap yourself up in it and just revel and absorb the energy and feel totally safe, loved and appreciated. Can you honk like a goose?

Jenny Heston · 12:54 am ·

Geese In FormationHave you ever tried to honk like a goose?Ā  I have, often.Ā Ā  Especially now in the fall as the ā€œV’sā€ of Canada Geese fly overhead honking away as they vanish off into the horizon or slow down to land on the lake first thing in the morning.Ā  It’s quite amazing to watch, huge ā€œV’sā€ of geese all in formation, honking away, none are colliding, you don’t see one veer off on their own tangent and they all gently settle with a delicious ā€œsplushā€ amongst the mist rising off the lake. House With No Joy

Jenny Heston · 4:47 pm ·

The breeze was gently undulating his way through the day, tickling the autumn leaves as they hung on the trees, picking up their fallen friends and gently lifting them up in the air to move them a few inches and place them back down. The sun was out and it was a glorious colourful Indian summer day in October. As the breeze moved along he saw a house where the front door hadn’t closed over properly and decided to go explore as this was a house where the doors were normally locked, the windows closed and covered with slatted blinds to limit the visibility from the outside. It was an ordinary looking house, nothing special, but the gardens were vibrant and filled with a multitude of coloured flowers and climbing roses. The breeze liked entering human homes as he was always amazed by the smells he could pick up and waft about, the energy, the laughter and the noise, the colours and the busyness. He liked the houses where the windows were wide open and he could dart in and lift up piles of paper and waft a humans hair. So far nobody had really minded, especially on a hot day, as he often brought a gift of the scent of the ocean and a cooling presence.

As the breeze entered this house he wondered if anyone lived there, it was so quiet, not the safe quiet of humans sleeping in fact more like a silence. There were no voices chatting, there was no reverberance of energy inside the walls and no small humans rushing around creating chaos and laughter, it felt strange. As he flowed into the living room he could see everything in its place, the papers were in a neat pile, the ornaments had a feel of look only, don’t touch, there were no dishes or cups lying around and the kitchen looked as if it wasn’t used for creating meals it was too tidy. Maybe whoever lives here is away? Ā The air felt stale and stagnant, with an ennui of sorrow and pain that overlaid. As the breeze moved up the hallway he realized there were humans here, 3 of them – all women. One was doing the laundry, one was on the phone and one was doing a meditation. This is most odd he felt, there are humans here and you wouldn’t know it. The breeze chose to linger and observe in an attempt to understand. Ā He ended up lingering for a few days and when he left he felt less than and drained. He couldn’t play with the leaves for a while and found himself just wanting to swirl in the same spot and to be quiet, so very quiet.

The breeze watched, there were no celebrations and when they were suggested by the younger two women they were greeted with a mocking smile, a raised eyebrow and a dismissal. He watched one of them who pumped Prana in a joyful, powerful way fold in on herself, she hardly sang anymore and the silence and negativity were draining and crushing her. When she tried to talk to the older one the conversation would go around and around and it was always her fault. Ā He watched the other be continually greeted with a smile, but beneath that smile was a space of negation and again the conversations went round and round, he watched as her sadness rose and the despair becoming overwhelming. So the silence became one of oppression and moved through the house compressing everything around. Ā Be silent!

He watched as the younger two women would get up early, before the sun rose and leave the house, taking the dog with them and go walk and chat like chirping birds and as they laughed and explored their souls soared and they became more like who they were. But those were brief moments in the day. He watched as help was continually offered and dismissed by the older woman whose home it was. He watched as the invitations to join in activities, the entreaties to come do things were offered up and pushed to the side as they were uninteresting. He watched gorgeous food being created with music playing, the music had to be turned off and the meal was eaten in Silence. The only time there was noise in the house was when the TV was played at such a level that as he swirled out of the open sliding door he could hear it outside. Lights were turned off even when someone was in that room. Everything was controlled either by silence, dismissiveness, manipulation, anger, or demeaning. Games were offered and as they were played jealousy and snide comments would happen – so the youngest would walk away. Why? Ā Why was it like this? That question was asked and reverberated from the walls by the younger two, but the only answer was one of shame, blame and silence. The cries and questions were released and floated out onto the breeze. Ā

The breeze watched and finally he had to leave as there was no Joy here, no gratitude, no acceptance and no compromise. It was rigid, cold and silent.

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. šŸŒ•šŸ©µ

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain water was too strong and some were drowning. šŸ„ŗšŸ

Without bees we have nothing.
No flowers.
No food.
No Spring magic.

So this is your reminder to leave water out, plant flowers and protect the tiny wild things. They are holding the world together. 🌼✨

We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ wo We’re taught early what it means to be a ā€œgoodā€ woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of ā€œnatureā€ we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! šŸŒøšŸŒæšŸ§ššŸ¼ In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the SĆdhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other ā€œthin placesā€ at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire šŸ”„ ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place šŸŒ€
