Slow down

Stopping to Smell the Roses in a World on Fire.

Jenny Heston · 1:11 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

Happy May.

And can we all just take a collective moment to whisper, “thank goodness the energy shifted,” after the absolute firestorm that was April? Whoot. I don’t know about you, but April felt like being spiritually tumble-dried at times. Fast, fiery, intense, illuminating… and honestly a little exhausting.

But May?

May arrives differently.

She doesn’t burst through the door demanding transformation. She slips quietly into the garden barefoot, smelling faintly of lilacs and damp earth, asking us to soften our shoulders, unclench our jaws and remember that life is meant to be lived, not merely survived.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day and if I’m honest, it felt gloriously bitter-sweet.

Every Mother’s Day I would head over to my Mum’s with baked goods, plants, soil and planters and create beautiful overflowing pots for her to enjoy. It was ritual. Tradition. Love woven through dirt-covered hands and flowers.

But with Mum dying just over a year ago, that ritual no longer exists in the same way.

And grief is funny like that.

It sneaks into ordinary moments. Into garden centres. Into seeing someone reach for petunias. Into the instinct to pick up an extra plant before remembering there is no longer a doorstep to place it on.

There is something profound about ancestral lineage and the threads that connect us through simple acts of care. Sometimes we inherit recipes. Sometimes stories. Sometimes gardening habits and the understanding that tending living things is its own form of prayer.

So instead, I spent the day with my horde.

We wandered amongst the camas flowers, meandered slowly, dug in the garden, laughed, got muddy, and bless them, they gifted me the coolest gargoyle ever, who has already been officially named Quido. Naturally.

And funnily enough, last year they gifted me a glorious Hansa Rose, which is hands down my favourite rose ever because the scent is utterly divine. This year she is blooming like an absolute fiend.

And honestly?

That feels like the energy of May itself.

Blooming. Softening. Rooting deeper. Opening anyway.

May brings us countless opportunities to pause long enough to stop and smell the roses.

And yes, I know that saying can sound a little cliché at first glance, but perhaps our souls desperately need exactly that right now.

To stop and smell the roses means intentionally slowing down. It means lifting your gaze from the doom-scrolling, the pressure, the endless to-do lists and noticing what is beautiful. What is nourishing. What makes you smile.

The sunlight through leaves.
Tea while still hot.
Birdsong at dawn.
Hands in the dirt.
A dog proudly bringing you a random bone while you garden.
The smell of roses drifting on warm air.

These moments may seem tiny, but they are not insignificant.

Scientifically, practices of presence and gratitude have been shown to increase satisfaction, emotional wellbeing and our overall sense of connection to life. But spiritually? I think they help us remember who we actually are beneath all the noise.

May offers grounding influences that feel deeply supportive to our minds, bodies and souls. This month encourages us to become intentional with our energy.

Not feeding what we fear. Not endlessly watering what drains us.

But instead consciously turning toward what we want more of.

More peace. More beauty.
More joy. More connection. More softness.
More truth.

And on May 16th we are gifted with the Taurus New Moon.

Now Taurus energy knows exactly how to stop and smell the roses. This New Moon brings in a lunar cycle that feels calmer, steadier and far more restorative than the chaos we have been collectively moving through.

This is not rushed energy. This is deliberate energy. Grounded energy. Long-term roots instead of frantic branches.

We are being invited to slow down enough to hear ourselves again.

To breathe deeper.
To move intentionally.
To choose what truly matters.

So with all that being said… let’s crack on with the reading, shall we?

Gorgeous One, breathe, just breathe.

Allow yourself to simply BE for a moment. Let your mind soften. Let your breath slow. Let the energy of stopping to smell the roses wend its way gently through your spirit.

Then quietly ask your wise inner self: “What do I need to know this week?”

And when you are ready, choose the card — or cards — that tug at your heartstrings.

Don’t let your mind choose. Let your soul do the talking.

And if you feel called to go deeper, I have a glorious wee guided visualisation waiting for you as well. Don’t worry… you won’t need gardening gloves. 🌹

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

QUEEN OF HEARTS

Your heart has been chosen by the Divine to be a temple for spiritual light, an inner place where grace and healing can dwell.  This is very special.  A temple is kept clean and pure, scented with sacred perfumes of incense, made beautiful with our feelings uncluttered and spacious so that as much spiritual presence as possible can enter.

When spirit enters and fills the temple of the heart, things of extraordinary beauty take place.  Even the seemingly impossible becomes possible.  Clear your heart temple with forgiveness, gratitude and love for the spirit, so it can fulfil its divine destiny of being a sacred channel for beautiful divine grace.

The mind may believe it has got the power to rule, but, in truth, the heart is queen.  You are a true goddess of love, one who consults the heart for answers.  You will courageously follow the guidance of the heart.  Even when the mind doesn’t want to surrender to the call of the heart, and fearfully lists numerous reasons why it is crazy and stupid and will end badly, you know that the doubt of the mind is no match for the power of the heart.

Things don’t need to make sense to your mind or to anyone else, they just need to make sense to your heart.  You are already a divine queen, your heart aflame with passionate purpose.  Stay true to your heart’s wisdom and you will change the world!

SHAMAN OF SKULLS

In your heart, you have been asking for something different, something more, and the Universe is answering your prayers.  You don’t need to be afraid of the changes happening, or that are going to happen, for you.  They are part of that answer from the Universe!  You might feel uncertain because you cannot see how it is going to all work out – but know that the Universe is caring for you, and will provide a way to move through the transition with grace.

You are not crazy to willingly enter this experience.  There is nothing that you need avoid, and so much that you will gain.

Something is ending.  Something that has meant a lot to you.  Maybe it is a relationship, a phase of your life, and identity that no longer suits you.  Maybe it is an inner ending that you can’t quite articulate, but you feel nonetheless.  This is a symbolic death with a greater purpose.

The shaman is spiritually trained to overcome the fear of symbolic death and, instead of avoiding endings, to willingly go through them with the awareness that an ending is simply the other side of a beginning.  The shaman learns that endings happen when something new wishes to be born.

Be patient with yourself, be kind, but also know that new life is happening for you now according to a higher purpose and loving plan.  Your life is meant to change at this time.  Be encouraged!  From the ashes of this symbolic death, you shall rise again.

FINCH SPIRIT GUIDE

Finch Spirit Guide comes to you with guidance to care for yourself in a particular way. Finches can become beautifully coloured, but only when they eat foods that nourish them. They have the power of beauty within, but they need the correct nourishment to be able to transform that potential into expression.

You also have beautiful divine potential to shine your light and beauty in the world, but you must feed your soul what it needs to do this. Be respectful and loving to yourself as you choose what to take into your being – be it physical nourishment or emotional energy or even the kinds of books you read and entertainment you watch, for all has an impact on you.

Do you feel better for the experience? Does it nourish your soul?

The best growth-enhancing food for your soul is that which increases love. Finch Spirit Guide also brings a prediction of a celebration of happiness ahead of you – and wants you to know that your connection to the spiritual worlds is real, to trust in the messages you feel from the Universe as they make themselves known in your heart.

It’s a good time to experiment with how to best care for your mind, body and soul. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about finding what works best for you. You are in a phase of your life where giving back to yourself is important.

Perhaps you have been sharing a lot of yourself with others, have come through a challenging time or, in the near future, will be stepping up in a new way to share more creative energy and soul fire than ever before.

All that you need to know now is that it is the right time to take extra special care of you.

Woosah! Gorgeous guides for this week! Sending you massive hugs and squeezes, set your intentions under the Taurus New Moon, stop and smell the roses  and ground yourself!

When the World Screams “Buy!”… I Choose Blessed and Unbothered.

Jenny Heston · 2:02 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

December stepped in this morning with its quiet frost and instinctive hush, yet everywhere I turn, I’m met with a blizzard of flashing ads, shrill notifications, glossy promotions, and digital cajoling. Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Limited Offer. Last Chance.

The whole spectacle feels like an overcaffeinated carnival shouting into the marrow of my bones. I value prudence with money — of course — but this frantic devotion to “stuff-for-the-sake-of-stuff” makes my spirit recoil.

The clangour, the manufactured urgency, the relentless chorus of Buy now, buy fast, buy more — set against the trembling state of the world — feels entirely counter to the soul of this season.

You feel it too, don’t you?

That subtle trembling of your nervous system whispering, enough — enough scrolling, enough grasping, enough noise.

In these past weeks, I found myself caught in the undertow of “shoulds.” The invisible insistence to acquire, prepare, produce, impress. It felt like standing in a wind tunnel of expectations that were never mine to begin with.

Thus, through our family’s “birthday season” — that lively stretch from September to now — I decided to refuse the rote ritual of obligatory gifts. Instead, we crafted experiences together. One for each of the horde.

A dazzling West End London show — When God Was a Scottish Drag Queen — that left us breathless with laughter.
A decadent spa afternoon where we soaked our feet while seals tumbled through silvered waves.
A wildfire-fun improv night with two SNL greats that left us gasping.
A pottery session where clay-flecked hands shaped mugs and memories.
And this weekend — a family Celtic knot tattoo, ink looping our stories into skin.

This, to me, is the marrow of the season — a call toward slowness, toward gentleness, toward presence.

Yet everywhere around us the world hollers, “Hurry!”

With Winter Solstice drifting near, we stand at the cusp of the year’s deepest darkness — a liminal passage asking us to rest, rekindle our inner ember, and reacquaint ourselves with the softer rooms of our own being.

But here’s the quiet truth: most of us were never taught how to do that.

We were conditioned to barrel through winter. To dismiss the fatigue. To keep producing, performing, persevering. To pretend we’re fine even when our inner world is begging for a moment of stillness.

But our spirits yearn for something else — something tender, unhurried, unadorned.

Which is why Omen Days will return this year. (More on that next week.) The Omen Days offer a gentle, deep, restorative way for closing the year with grace, intention, and a glimpse into what 2026 is weaving.

And yes — I’ll be hosting a Solstice gathering to help us cross the threshold of the longest night with reverence and warmth.

On December 4th, we welcome the luminous Cold Moon.

This moon arrives like a lantern in the frost — aligned with Yuletide, humming with old magic.

Its teaching is ancient: rest, renewal, the quiet promise of beginnings wrapped inside endings. It marks the culmination of our journey around the sun, encouraging us to pause, to breathe, to soften.

It may feel counterintuitive to slow down when the world is screaming for speed, but remember: your worth has never lived inside your productivity.

Let the Cold Moon be your invitation to hibernate a little — to occupy your moments with presence, delight, and the small things that make your heart glow.

This is a season thick with transformation, inner excavation, and the sacred alchemy of becoming. A time to recharge, reconnect, and return to yourself and the ones you love.

Do you see how beautifully it all interlaces?

You are not separate from the seasons.

You are the season — unfolding, deepening, shifting — just as nature does.

So I am so tickled to see new guides wanting to come and chat with you this week.  These gorgeous guides invite you to find out  –What your soul wants you to know.

Okay my darling one, take a breath.  Envision you are standing out in the dark, the brisk cold wind hits your cheeks and you light a candle.  The flame flickers and dances with the night sky behind it.  As you gaze at the flame, take a breath and allow yourself to rest and relax.  Listen to the whispers of your Soul.

Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that make your Soul tickle.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s see what your Soul wants to share with you……

SIMPLICITY

Do what matters; and release the rest to find peace, grace and stillness.

Clear all the internal and external clutter!

Your soul wants you to know, one of the fastest ways to align with the tranquil vibration of the Creator/Creatrix/Divine – whatever name you use – is through simplicity.

A busy life and the accumulation of more than you need creates static; it can be difficult to hear the voice of Spirit when there’s mental chaos in your life.

Create time to rest and rejuvenate.  Clear the clutter in your home, the files in your computer, and the drawers at work.  (And I can see you rolling your eyes!)

Even a small amount of this cleansing can make an immense difference.

Create a feeling of simplicity, and know the grace of the Divine.

Repeat to yourself:  Deep, Profound Serenity is Expanding in My Life.

PASSION

Follow your bliss!  (Yeah I know you have heard that before, but……. It’s true).

Discover what you absolutely love to do or be, and then, like an arrow directed at its target, don’t let anything stop you from fulfilling your passion!

Your soul wants you to know – If you’re having difficulty discovering what you’re passionate about, go back into your childhood and remember what gave you joy then.

If you loved to dance as a child, sign up for a movement class.  Better yet, put on music and dance your soxs off in the living room to your Soul’s delight.

If you adored crayons, pull out those colours and splash their bright hues from one side of the page to the other.

If you enjoyed observing insects in your backyard, maybe sign up for a nature study course.

Once you are clear on what you are passionate about, do whatever it takes to follow that – don’t wait until it’s too late.

Many people declare that they will follow their bliss when they retire or have extra time, and consequently they never experience the absolute exuberance of life.

If not now when?  Live your life with passion! What are you waiting for?

Repeat to yourself:  I passionately accept and love myself!

SILENCE

Can you be still and take the time to move into the silent place within yourself?  That place which is your internal power source?

Your soul wants you to know – The world is super loud and often at the end of the day you flop into bed with all sorts swimming in your head.  In silence you’ll find your sacred witness.  It’s the dwelling place of your Soul.

Your Spirit loves the truth, and in peace you can seek and discover your truth.

If you are in pain, go into it until you find the source so it can be healed. Move past the bustle and chatter of life into sweet quietude, and surrender to stillness.  Resist the temptation to indulge in feelings of overwhelm, urgency, and emergency.

Your power is born in silence.

Seek solitude to listen to the voice of  your higher self and awaken your inner wisdom; this peace gives birth to your serenity.

Repeat to yourself – I am Serene, No Matter what is occurring around me.

Gorgeous one, allow yourself to move a bit more gently with yourself.  Keep your eyes peeled for The Omen Days, you will love it and the Solstice gathering.  Sending you massive hugs and warm soxs and tea!

Slow Down, Pause, Set Boundaries, and Play!

Jenny Heston · 3:24 pm ·

Happy Magnificent, Maudlin, Majestical, Meretricious, Magikal, Manifesting Monday!

Hello gorgeous bean, did you make it through the Full Moon last week?  It was quite an interesting one, wasn’t it?  Many of you reached out saying it was heavy and asking how to manage it and I was delighted to hear that you played with ritual (involving a stone and water) and let that shit go!

So how are you feeling now?  (And remember, I am “that” person who will talk about the Elephant in the room!)

This week has been most interesting, and as I write this I am sitting in my garden sanctuary with Danu lying at my feet, Kali sleeping in the faery garden and butterflies and dragonflies galore.

A friend from the UK called me up the other day to ask what we paid for petrol per gallon, and apparently the UK is paying almost double what Canada is.  He went on to share how he felt the country was struggling (Boris Johnson – who I fondly refer to as the muppet – stepped down) so the UK is without a Prime Minister at the moment.  Tad tricky.

Then he shared what was happening in the towns he worked in, the cost of groceries, how any news of the Ukraine war wasn’t really happening – etc. etc. etc. And basically how the energy was frenetic and he was feeling triggered, fragmented, angry and overwhelmed.

He wasn’t the only conversation of this kind I have had this last week, in fact I would say about 20 of them with clients.  The sense of fear and structural instability is high and in turn is creating, yet again, huge judgements, divisiveness and a sense of confusion and overwhelm.

So how do you navigate this or deal with this so it doesn’t “lodge” with you?

Here are 4 easy and powerful steps. Ready?

First thing is to slow down and set boundaries.  Recognise and name what is happening around you, but don’t get stuck in the story of it, or taken out by fear mongers.  And always, always remember “You have no control over other people, places, situations or things.”

You can not take on the responsibility for everything around you (although your mind might try to convince you otherwise).

When you try to take responsibility for all the externalities, suck up the news as if it’s a soda you are in fact putting your nervous system into hyper mode.

By dropping into your heart space, setting healthy boundaries, allowing yourself to slow down, to say “no” more often, it will help you make better decisions, connect more deeply with the people who matter to you, and help you to enjoy more meaningful experiences.  It also helps you to stop getting triggered. (Always a good thing).

The second thing is to appreciate we are still in the midst of a massive paradigm shift and it hasn’t finished (even if no one else around you talks about it).  What this means is there is a gentle whisper, a call if you will, to step into a place where you share and shine your light, but remember, you have to fill your own well first to be able to do this.

Which leads to the third thing.

The third thing is to have a daily practice that gets you in touch with and nourishes your inner self, your inner power, your essence and soul.  Now I know you may be rolling your eyes and saying – yeah, yeah Jenn, daily practice sounds like a great idea but I don’t have the time.

Bullshit.

Can you honestly tell me that you don’t have 10 minutes to sit outside in nature?  10 minutes to do some yoga whilst focusing on your heart space?  10 minutes to write a stream of consciousness and get all the shit out of your head?  10 minutes to pull a card in the morning and reflect on the energies to walk with?

Do you see where I’m going?

If you have 10 minutes to dive down the rabbit hole of social media, you have 10 minutes to strengthen your soul and connection.

I have a daily practice that is split into two, the first part happens the minute I’ve brushed my teeth and popped the kettle on first thing in the morning.  The second part happens right before I’m climbing into bed.

And for me, these are NON NEGOTIABLE.

I don’t start my day until I have done my morning practice and I don’t go to sleep until I have done my evening one.  Are they long?  Heck no, as I’m not a supremely patient person.  However, they are exceptionally powerful and they keep me grounded, whole, connected to my intuition and the divine and allow me to make better choices of where I spend my energy.

Last but not least, the fourth thing is to remember to Play!  When we are in a state of play, whether it is having a kitchen dance party, blowing bubbles, skipping rocks or playing an instrument or anything else!  We are in a state of flow, openness and creativity.

From that place comes an amazing connection to something bigger than yourself that wells up in your chest and brings you glorious joy, delight and trust.  Who doesn’t need more of that?

So next time you’re cooking dinner, pop on some great music and dance your soxs off whilst singing into the end of a carrot that you are peeling!  What have you got to lose?

Okay I have chuntered on enough, let’s crack on with the reading.

When I went to the cards to ask who would like to teach and guide this week I was tickled to see who came to join.  Let me please introduce you to the Earth Warriors.

There is a river flowing now very fast.  It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.  They will try to hold on to the shore.  They will feel they are torn apart and will suffer greatly.  Know the river has its destination.  The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water.  And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves.  For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.  The time for the lone wolf is over.  Gather yourselves!  Banish the word “struggle” from your attitude and your vocabulary.  A new world is being born.  It is founded upon love and higher consciousness, instead of fear, hate and greed.  All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.  We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.“

Oh my Giddy Aunt!  Frigging perfect, lol.

Okay delicious lovely, take a moment and breathe into your heart space.  Take a glorious deep breath in through the nose and see your heart space lighting up and gently unfolding.  Then as you exhale out your mouth with a sigh, see any burdens drop to the ground to become cosmic compost.  Keep breathing this way for a minute and let your heart open more and more.

Then when you are ready, allow your heart to guide you to the card or cards that tickle the petals of your heart.

Did you remember to pick?

Come with me and let’s have a look shall we?

INTIKHANA

Child of the Light

There is a divine light that does not cast a shadow.  Nor does it cast judgement, even though it reveals truth – a truth that is sometimes hard to acknowledge and requires that we change our ways.

True divine light is healing, it is unifying, it brings hope and illuminates the way.  Other sorts of light exist on this planet that are not so pure, nor so helpful.  Those sorts of light may appear stunningly bright, yet, in effect, create separation and increase ego.

You can recognise genuine divine presence not by how dazzling it may appear at first, but by what your devotion to that divine light evokes in your heart and your world.

Trust your feelings over appearances.  Move away from influences that create fear, negativity or doubt in you.  Reach out for that which uplifts your heart.

Refuse to be dazzled by ego masquerading as something spiritual.

Through your prayers and efforts, spiritual light has been accumulating on the inner planes, even though you may not sense that consciously as yet.  There will be an intersection of events and circumstances in your physical world through which that light shall pour forth and manifest itself as grace.

There is something truly good to come of it.

In the Incan tradition, Inti is the physical sun and the spiritual presence inherent in the sun’s life giving energy.  When we are faced with deep unknowing or dark depressing thoughts, welcome in the spiritual intervention of joyful light.

Open up to the joyful light of love and peace to fill your heart and your home.  You have the power to call this in because you are acknowledged as a child of the light.

From that place of inner peace, luminous love and safe refuge, you can proceed with boldness, patience, wisdom and hope.  You don’t just have light within you.  You are the light.

Remember.  Shine.  We need you.

AJNA DURGA

Power of the Good

You need never lose faith in the power of good.  You need never lose faith in how much you can accomplish as an independent and inspired individual in this world.  You need never believe that you are alone or without divine protection.  You need never fear evil.

The third eye of the Divine Mother sees all things, is ever watchful and ever just.  She births through holy vision, the manifest power of good in all realms.  Her gaze is upon you now.  Trust her.

Believe in the power of the Divine to keep an eye on things for you.  Trust that power to alert you when you need to know something or to understand what is happening in your life and what you need – even if you aren’t so sure of that yourself at times.

Be active in contesting negativity.

The moment you feel something isn’t coming from love, acknowledge it immediately.  You don’t have to make it about you or analyse it.  Call for divine support in all things.  It is your greatest ally.

Give up your attachment to past experiences of rejection and abandonment so that you can open up to how much the Divine loves you and can help you.  Practice feeling the confidence and unconditional trust in a higher power, knowing it is stronger than all else.

Durga is your ally, your divine weapon, your refuge and your vital energy for sacred purpose.  Do not allow yourself to be intimidated.

Let that confidence and trust in the divine goddess of goodness radiate out of you like a shining sun that fills your heart, your mind and your belly.

PONO PONO

Immeasurable Power of the Heart Way

The heart has the power to heal in a way that the mind cannot understand.  Do not allow your mind to distract or frighten you.  You are a beautiful child of the Universe and divine love lives within your heart.

A willing heart is all that you need to transform any situation that is troubling you.

Recognising this power does not evoke feelings of pressure or anxiety, but, rather, of peace and joy.  Lightness of heart and relief of mind are here for you now.

PONO, in the Hawaiian tradition, has deep and multiple meanings, one expression of which is the return to order.

There is a perfection of peace, beauty and fulfilment that the Divine has planned for the lives of all beings.  Through the use of human free will, we have at times moved away from what is in the divine plan, stumbled on the path and become ensnared in terrible suffering and frightening delusion.

It then becomes difficult to use our free will with wisdom, and our spiritual disconnection can create far-reaching negative impacts for ourselves and others.

Yet there is a simple spiritual discipline that we can practise to restore the world – and all hearts within it – to rights again.

The Divine dwells in your heart as a healing power and wisdom, which tenderly alleviates suffering, liberating the body, mind and soul.  In the Hawaiian tradition from which it emerges, it is known as Ho’o Pono Pono or “to set things right”.

The heart power thrives through this simple four-step practice that can be done by anyone, anywhere, for any person or situation that they would wish to transform.  This is not a practice you can approach through the mind.

The mind will resist it because it asks for us to take unconditional responsibility for everything that we encounter.  The mind confuses responsibility with guilt and giving with deficit.  The heart, though, is joyful at the prospect of spiritual responsibility, because it understands that it offers the empowerment to make a difference and that healing one helps heal all.

The Divine within your heart has the power to transform a situation that is troubling you.  Do not be intimidated or think it is too much for your or the Divine to handle.  Do not allow yourself to intellectualise or analyse a situation to the point of feeling confused or paralysed.

Healing through the heart on any and all issues that have plagued you or a loved one can and will happen.  Let your heart feel the faith it needs to feel so that it can rest in joy.

Divine healing wants to flow abundantly to you.  Open up to receive it without hesitation or condition.

Wow, glorious guides for this week – I mean seriously, you can’t make this shit up! So delicious, lovely, wishing for you a week of slowing down, taking a pause, setting heart based boundaries, starting a daily practice and play!  Fill your well so your glorious light can shine like a delightful star.  Big hugs and blessings.  See you next week.

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. 🌕🩵

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of “nature” we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the Sídhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other “thin places” at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire 🔥 ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place 🌀
