Numinous Circle

Chinese New Year – Let’s Welcome in the Wood Dragon……..and so much more!

Jenny Heston · 3:33 pm ·

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Majestic, Mellow, Momentous, Mystical, Merry, Mischievous, Marmalade Made Manifesting Monday!

(Had to slip Marmalade in as for me marmalade on a glorious piece of fresh bread toasted – nom, nom, nom!)

Okay delicious lovely, grab a cuppa as we have lots to cover this week!

We are talking about the energy of February, which is about “Building the Foundation”.  (And if you remember January was all about creating your Vision.)  On February 9th we have the Aquarius New Moon, and the next day on the 10th we say goodbye to the Year of the Rabbit and welcome in the auspicious Year of the Wood Dragon!

Now, I don’t know about you but I am super pumped about all that is transpiring.

I have been dancing with my vision (which is rock solid clear) and putting the finishing touches to a collaborative programme with the wonderful Lisa Wolfe.  And on Chinese New Year, we will open up applications to join The Numinous Circle, an incredible 9 month container.

I’ve also finalised the Mastery and Manifestation 3 month container, as well as mapped out 12 amazing Master Classes for the year!  And last but not least there is a Sacred Site retreat coming in the Fall of this year! And changes happening in The Creatrix Circle – phew.

So can you say Hell Yes!  – as I am.

I have been dancing with Vision and Foundation to the nth degree, as I am most certainly a Dragon and I am stepping forth loud and fucking proud!

So what does Building the Foundation mean? Let’s let Lena explain that one:

“When creating a new structure, a good strong foundation is a necessary first step in the process. When we are dreaming up and envisioning the end-result, the foundation is not what we usually focus on in our vision. However, if you don’t have a solid foundation, you don’t have a solid structure.

January was focused on having a vision and making a plan. Now it is time to commit to the vision and the plan and follow through with building the foundation for your vision to manifest.

This foundation is not a literal one but rather an energetic one that includes your body, mind and spirit, as well as parts of your physical environment that support who you are.”

This monthly energy theme, ties into the Aquarius New Moon energy.

This Aquarius New Moon invites you to look at your feelings of security and what makes you feel secure and safe so you can really thrive in this world.

If we look at where these feelings of security and comfort are in our own bodies, we can begin to see a link between how small or large our life is.

The more confident, secure, and safe we feel, the more likely we are to expand our wings, take chances, and live more fully. The less confident, secure, or safe we feel, the more likely we will play it small.

So lots of stuff, especially around freedom or lack of, sense of tribe and community or lack of, and feeling of hope, prosperity and expansion, or lack of may come up.

Thus, harness both the monthly energy and the moon energy (yet alone the Dragon energy, which we will get to in a moment), to make some changes.

Changes that stick and allow you to tap into your inner warrior, learn, study, grow – whatever you need to.

Now for my most favourite piece – The Year of the Wood Dragon.

Interestingly enough in my family, all the females for 8 generations are Dragons.  None of the males.

Think about it, Dragon only happens once every twelve years and somewhere amidst that calculation the women chose to embody that energy!  Muhahaha.

So what does the Wood Dragon year bring to you?

Dragon is the only animal in the Chinese zodiac that is not of the mundane earthly world. It has the highest vision and broadest reach – they soar the highest and furthest. It’s a year to look beyond the confines and to dream big, to envision the future we want. Getting clarity on our purpose or mission is essential.

Dragon years are considered very auspicious. Symbolizing power, inner strength and courage, this is a year to actively step into our power and nobility and allow our gifts, talents and true medicine to shine out.

Authenticity is key and is of the highest vibration. We are asked to believe in ourselves, to remember who we are, to find our own authentic story and not anyone else’s.

The exalted Dragon insists on raising the standards, set your goals high for it’s time to really step up.

“Wood energy allows us to grow, expand, and keep our vision on track for the long term. The Season of Spring is connected to the element of Wood, so this year of the Dragon will help us to create new beginnings, plant new seeds, and allow our garden to flourish.

The energy is ripe for new beginnings and undergoing new ventures, but we have to create stability and work from the heart.

Green is connected to the element of wood and the heart-chakra, so in the year of the Dragon, we are going to be constantly reminded to come back to the heart, and to open ourselves to receiving.”

Oh my giddy aunt.  Do you see how all these delicious energies this month fold together?  And how they all weave with the 8 energy of this year?  (For those of  you who chose an Opening the Door reading you will really know what I’m talking about!)

So there we have it honey.  I hope you brought a cuppa and did take time to read, as this is the time to finally make the changes you have talked about sweets.

Enough chuntering, let’s crack on with the reading.

These are glorious new guides who insisted on coming to play, which was most interesting as they have been with me for 6 months.

Thus, let me introduce you – These are the wardens to help you deepen into your self-awareness, especially in relation to nature.  These are the stewards and the guardians.  They are here to guide you, protect  you as much as you are called to do the same for them.  Allow the natural world to weave into your day to day, open your eyes to what surrounds you and open your heart to receiving.

So my darling one, take a moment to just breathe.  Just let the energy of Foundation, Clarity and Expansiveness fill your body and your mind.  Allow your inner light and spark to rise up to meet it and meld with it.  See you Vision, allow it to wrap around you like a glorious blanket and make you smile.

Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Ready to meet your new guides?

THE BOAR AND THE PUMPKIN

Confidence

With their winding vines and large, heavily seeded fruit pumpkins signify abundance, health, and resilience.

But think of the pumpkin – each one is full of seeds, all carrying the seed of potential and creation.

Meanwhile, the fierce and intelligent boar is known for its sharp tusks and aggressive movements.

The boar invites you to step into the place  of Strength and Power,

Boars are associated with strength, power, and resilience. Their robust and fearless nature symbolise the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles.

So what happens when we combine pumpkin with boar?

It’s time to claim your confidence.  Embrace who you are and what you know and allow any insults of attempts to damage your morale to roll off your back.

You are thick skinned like a pumpkin and courageous like a boar.

Ask yourself:

What accomplishments am I proud of?

How can I improve my confidence and sense of worth?

THE DEER AND THE OAT

Healing

The shy and gentle fallow deer is known for its white spots and the broad, velvety antlers it sheds and regrows each year.

Deer bring in the energy of gentleness, innocence, and a peaceful nature.  Deer also invite  you into vigilance.

Not OCD vigilance, but the attention that needs to be paid to the boundaries around you and what you are allowing in.  Thus, encouraging you to stay attuned to your surroundings and inner self.

Similarly, oats are symbols of restorative nutrition.

Even in poor soil, oats can flourish, providing hearty sustenance.

You are being invited to rest and recharge.

Moderation and mindfulness are key as you recover from any trauma or a period of intense exertion.

Ask yourself:

How do I rest and recharge?

What practices nourish my soul?

THE PORCUPINE AND ANEMONE

Boundaries

The porcupine, with its impressive quills, is a well-known symbol of self-defense

According to a legend common among the Anishinaabe tribes, the porcupine got its quills by placing the branches of a hawthorn tree on its back, defending itself against the bear.

Nanabozho – the trickster spirit in Ojibwe myth – saw the porcupine’s cleverness and fashioned it a coat of quills to wear from then on.

Just as the porcupine curls into a ball to defend itself from predators, the anemone flower turns inward and down during rainstorms, protecting its delicate petals from damage.

You can’t help others unless you first help yourself.

Maintain healthy boundaries around your time and energy, giving generously only once you are sufficiently fed.

Ask yourself:

How can I ensure my needs are met?

Have I established healthy boundaries around my time and energy?

Do I respect the boundaries of others?

Wowzers!  Oh my gosh, I love these guides and they tie in so well!  Which one did you pick, or did you go for all?  Sending you big hugs gorgeous one, please, please step all the way into these energies and come dance with me in the field of infinite possibilities.  Your being, your light, your heart is needed!

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. 🌕🩵

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain water was too strong and some were drowning. 🥺🐝

Without bees we have nothing.
No flowers.
No food.
No Spring magic.

So this is your reminder to leave water out, plant flowers and protect the tiny wild things. They are holding the world together. 🌼✨

We’re taught early what it means to be a “good” wo We’re taught early what it means to be a “good” woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of “nature” we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the Sídhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other “thin places” at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire 🔥 ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place 🌀
