Mother's Day

Stopping to Smell the Roses in a World on Fire.

Jenny Heston · 1:11 pm ·

Gorgeous Soul,

Happy May.

And can we all just take a collective moment to whisper, “thank goodness the energy shifted,” after the absolute firestorm that was April? Whoot. I don’t know about you, but April felt like being spiritually tumble-dried at times. Fast, fiery, intense, illuminating… and honestly a little exhausting.

But May?

May arrives differently.

She doesn’t burst through the door demanding transformation. She slips quietly into the garden barefoot, smelling faintly of lilacs and damp earth, asking us to soften our shoulders, unclench our jaws and remember that life is meant to be lived, not merely survived.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day and if I’m honest, it felt gloriously bitter-sweet.

Every Mother’s Day I would head over to my Mum’s with baked goods, plants, soil and planters and create beautiful overflowing pots for her to enjoy. It was ritual. Tradition. Love woven through dirt-covered hands and flowers.

But with Mum dying just over a year ago, that ritual no longer exists in the same way.

And grief is funny like that.

It sneaks into ordinary moments. Into garden centres. Into seeing someone reach for petunias. Into the instinct to pick up an extra plant before remembering there is no longer a doorstep to place it on.

There is something profound about ancestral lineage and the threads that connect us through simple acts of care. Sometimes we inherit recipes. Sometimes stories. Sometimes gardening habits and the understanding that tending living things is its own form of prayer.

So instead, I spent the day with my horde.

We wandered amongst the camas flowers, meandered slowly, dug in the garden, laughed, got muddy, and bless them, they gifted me the coolest gargoyle ever, who has already been officially named Quido. Naturally.

And funnily enough, last year they gifted me a glorious Hansa Rose, which is hands down my favourite rose ever because the scent is utterly divine. This year she is blooming like an absolute fiend.

And honestly?

That feels like the energy of May itself.

Blooming. Softening. Rooting deeper. Opening anyway.

May brings us countless opportunities to pause long enough to stop and smell the roses.

And yes, I know that saying can sound a little cliché at first glance, but perhaps our souls desperately need exactly that right now.

To stop and smell the roses means intentionally slowing down. It means lifting your gaze from the doom-scrolling, the pressure, the endless to-do lists and noticing what is beautiful. What is nourishing. What makes you smile.

The sunlight through leaves.
Tea while still hot.
Birdsong at dawn.
Hands in the dirt.
A dog proudly bringing you a random bone while you garden.
The smell of roses drifting on warm air.

These moments may seem tiny, but they are not insignificant.

Scientifically, practices of presence and gratitude have been shown to increase satisfaction, emotional wellbeing and our overall sense of connection to life. But spiritually? I think they help us remember who we actually are beneath all the noise.

May offers grounding influences that feel deeply supportive to our minds, bodies and souls. This month encourages us to become intentional with our energy.

Not feeding what we fear. Not endlessly watering what drains us.

But instead consciously turning toward what we want more of.

More peace. More beauty.
More joy. More connection. More softness.
More truth.

And on May 16th we are gifted with the Taurus New Moon.

Now Taurus energy knows exactly how to stop and smell the roses. This New Moon brings in a lunar cycle that feels calmer, steadier and far more restorative than the chaos we have been collectively moving through.

This is not rushed energy. This is deliberate energy. Grounded energy. Long-term roots instead of frantic branches.

We are being invited to slow down enough to hear ourselves again.

To breathe deeper.
To move intentionally.
To choose what truly matters.

So with all that being said… let’s crack on with the reading, shall we?

Gorgeous One, breathe, just breathe.

Allow yourself to simply BE for a moment. Let your mind soften. Let your breath slow. Let the energy of stopping to smell the roses wend its way gently through your spirit.

Then quietly ask your wise inner self: “What do I need to know this week?”

And when you are ready, choose the card — or cards — that tug at your heartstrings.

Don’t let your mind choose. Let your soul do the talking.

And if you feel called to go deeper, I have a glorious wee guided visualisation waiting for you as well. Don’t worry… you won’t need gardening gloves. 🌹

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

QUEEN OF HEARTS

Your heart has been chosen by the Divine to be a temple for spiritual light, an inner place where grace and healing can dwell.  This is very special.  A temple is kept clean and pure, scented with sacred perfumes of incense, made beautiful with our feelings uncluttered and spacious so that as much spiritual presence as possible can enter.

When spirit enters and fills the temple of the heart, things of extraordinary beauty take place.  Even the seemingly impossible becomes possible.  Clear your heart temple with forgiveness, gratitude and love for the spirit, so it can fulfil its divine destiny of being a sacred channel for beautiful divine grace.

The mind may believe it has got the power to rule, but, in truth, the heart is queen.  You are a true goddess of love, one who consults the heart for answers.  You will courageously follow the guidance of the heart.  Even when the mind doesn’t want to surrender to the call of the heart, and fearfully lists numerous reasons why it is crazy and stupid and will end badly, you know that the doubt of the mind is no match for the power of the heart.

Things don’t need to make sense to your mind or to anyone else, they just need to make sense to your heart.  You are already a divine queen, your heart aflame with passionate purpose.  Stay true to your heart’s wisdom and you will change the world!

SHAMAN OF SKULLS

In your heart, you have been asking for something different, something more, and the Universe is answering your prayers.  You don’t need to be afraid of the changes happening, or that are going to happen, for you.  They are part of that answer from the Universe!  You might feel uncertain because you cannot see how it is going to all work out – but know that the Universe is caring for you, and will provide a way to move through the transition with grace.

You are not crazy to willingly enter this experience.  There is nothing that you need avoid, and so much that you will gain.

Something is ending.  Something that has meant a lot to you.  Maybe it is a relationship, a phase of your life, and identity that no longer suits you.  Maybe it is an inner ending that you can’t quite articulate, but you feel nonetheless.  This is a symbolic death with a greater purpose.

The shaman is spiritually trained to overcome the fear of symbolic death and, instead of avoiding endings, to willingly go through them with the awareness that an ending is simply the other side of a beginning.  The shaman learns that endings happen when something new wishes to be born.

Be patient with yourself, be kind, but also know that new life is happening for you now according to a higher purpose and loving plan.  Your life is meant to change at this time.  Be encouraged!  From the ashes of this symbolic death, you shall rise again.

FINCH SPIRIT GUIDE

Finch Spirit Guide comes to you with guidance to care for yourself in a particular way. Finches can become beautifully coloured, but only when they eat foods that nourish them. They have the power of beauty within, but they need the correct nourishment to be able to transform that potential into expression.

You also have beautiful divine potential to shine your light and beauty in the world, but you must feed your soul what it needs to do this. Be respectful and loving to yourself as you choose what to take into your being – be it physical nourishment or emotional energy or even the kinds of books you read and entertainment you watch, for all has an impact on you.

Do you feel better for the experience? Does it nourish your soul?

The best growth-enhancing food for your soul is that which increases love. Finch Spirit Guide also brings a prediction of a celebration of happiness ahead of you – and wants you to know that your connection to the spiritual worlds is real, to trust in the messages you feel from the Universe as they make themselves known in your heart.

It’s a good time to experiment with how to best care for your mind, body and soul. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about finding what works best for you. You are in a phase of your life where giving back to yourself is important.

Perhaps you have been sharing a lot of yourself with others, have come through a challenging time or, in the near future, will be stepping up in a new way to share more creative energy and soul fire than ever before.

All that you need to know now is that it is the right time to take extra special care of you.

Woosah! Gorgeous guides for this week! Sending you massive hugs and squeezes, set your intentions under the Taurus New Moon, stop and smell the roses  and ground yourself!

Deepen into the May Energy and let’s talk about Mother’s Day.

Jenny Heston · 4:44 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Misty, Mischievous, Magnetic, Manifesting May Monday!

How are you delicious lovely?  How was your Beltane experience?

I made a lovely offering to the Fae of crystals, sunflower seeds, red wine and shiny coins.  I noticed a good chunk of the red wine was gone the next morning.

So either there were some tippled faeries flying around or a tipsy racoon!

Okay my darlings, we have lots to natter about this week.  We have the Full Flower Moon, a big shift in May energy and of course Mothers Day all coming up this week.

So grab a cuppa and get settled.

On Beltane I did a glorious ritual and really tapped into the intuitive energy of this month of May, as every May has a different energy.

For example last year was about Mental Clarity and Inspiration, this month the word that came to mind is Deepening.

The image I was shown was the ocean, that deep unknown that we play in, go to, feel the pull of the tides, but we don’t fully “know”.

The Deepening energy of May asks us to really root into who we are, what we want and why we want it.  What are we here to share?  What are we here to learn?

It’s as if we are standing at a cliff edge looking at the ocean and being called to get closer, to really Deepen with a glorious warm Benevolence that wraps us up in a glorious blanket.

The ultimate question of course is – are you willing?

When we live in a fast paced world being bombarded with all sorts of drama our nervous system can go into a fight/flight/freeze/fawn – so this is where Deepening comes in.

Think of Deepening as a delicious Tend and Befriending of your core self, where you meet yourself exactly where you are – without the judgements or complaints.

After I had that download, the next day I went to the Ocean early in the morning, took Fearghus the swimming dog and walked.  Walked, threw sticks and watched Fearghus bring in the present moment.  The joy, the waves, the embracing exactly this moment.

As I walked and dropped into that space I asked myself these questions – which I invite you to try.

How can I create a cycle of nourishment in my own life?

How can I bring balance to the flow of giving and receiving?

What does it feel like to meet myself exactly where I am with no judgement?

Creating this harmony really begins with me and my inner state of being, and am I willing?

I found a glorious wee starfish who had been left on the rocks, and rescued and tossed him back.   And then the most amazing Raven kept coming closer and closer as I was about to leave and was only 10 inches away.

Deepening.  That is the invitation for May, and if you don’t have an ocean nearby, go to a river, a waterfall, a moving body of water!  Let me know how that feels for you.

Sunday the 11th brings in Mother’s Day, and for me personally, it’s irrelevant if you have birthed children or not.  As we have all at some point in time nurtured, mentored, supported a child – whether they were ours or not.

I will be honest, I have learned so much from my five children – they have taught me amazing lessons, given me a lot of angst, and helped me to grow up.

I also realise that Mother’s Day can be challenging for some as there are so many energies that float around that day, there’s:- love, frustration, loss, grief, disconnect, yearning, joy, expectations, connection, being invisible – and so very many more.

This will be the first Mother’s Day that I don’t go grab a ton of dirt, plants and planters and create amazing pots of flowers for my Mothership.  It feels very strange so I’m allowing it to be what it is.

So remember:-

“Let everything that needs to go, go.  Let everything that needs to come, come. “

On that note, let’s crack on with the reading.

So gorgeous one, breathe.  Just breathe, BE and allow yourself to relax, your mind to calm, your breath to slow and ask your wise inner self – what do I need to know this week.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug at your heartstrings – don’t let your mind pick!

Did you remember to pick?

Shall we go have a look?

Post Eclipse Portal, Mothers Day and Tension………..

Jenny Heston · 5:55 pm ·

Happy Magickal, Merry, Misty, Mischievous, Magnetic, Manifesting May Monday!

How are you delicious lovely?  How was your eclipse experience?

I have heard from quite a few of you that it was rather intense and “thank goodness the frigging thing is done with!”

Hate to be the Debbie Downer here but eclipse energy goes on for a few months, so if you notice endings, things rapidly changing, remember to breathe, trust and flow, yes?

Often we desperately cling to things by our fingernails because they are “known”, they are part of our tight, wee little comfort zone, they feel safe, even if they aren’t.  After all, who wants to bump up against the electric fence of their comfort zone and make a change?

That can be scary!

There are lions and tigers and bears oh my!

Let alone the mind chatter of “What will people think?  I can’t.  I’m too old, too young, too short, too tall”…………… and the list goes on and on.

But what if you dropped into a place of Trust, Faith and pushed that electric fence wider and played with the mantra;

“Let everything that needs to go, go.  Let everything that needs to come, come.”

You will be amazed at the results (and the lack of anxiety and worry).

On top of the eclipse energy that is wafting in the breeze we have the energy of May and I will let Lena  share her wisdom and explain it to you.

The theme for May is: “TENSION”.

“Tension this month is the condition of pressure or a relentless force causing anxiety, strain, crisis, release, and change. We are stretched tight, some of us more than others, as we attempt to hold on to the past and control the future. The emotional center of the year is highlighted as we clear out old stagnation and get things flowing in a more positive direction. Fear of change and fear of the unknown is what keeps us grasping tightly to our defences, old habits and outdated beliefs.

It is hard to relax in a state of tension. Sleep cycles can be disturbed and we may be hypervigilant about what may or may not be just around the corner. Anxiety unconnected to any real situation may be a constant companion to some that are prone to it. There is physical tension in the body, pointing to necessary adjustments in self-care; emotional tension, often erupting in drama as old repressed feelings find their way up and out; and mental tension, especially related to the need to know and the fear of the unknown.

All of this may sound extremely challenging, however there can be a very positive outcome to the month but it requires certain disciplines and the willingness to deal with feelings and emotions without blame or judgement.“

Mmmm, do you see how this folds in like a victoria sponge cake into the post-eclipse energy and the mantra?

On Sunday in North America we celebrate Mother’s Day and for me personally, it’s irrelevant if you have birthed children or not.  As we have all at some point in time nurtured, mentored, supported a child – whether they were ours or not.

I also realise that Mother’s Day can be challenging for some as there are so many energies that float around that day, there’s:- love, frustration, loss, grief, disconnect, yearning, joy, expectations, connection, being invisible – and so very many more.

It reminded me of years ago when I was in a lovely Kundalini yoga class and my most amazing mentor invited us to bring in our Mother, to feel that energy of safety, unconditional love and peace.

Well, I have to say that was not what happened for me by any stretch, instead it brought up loss, abandonment, grief and some very dark emotions which had me sobbing the whole way through class!  (Gotta love how energy moves).

Afterwards I went up and shared with her my experience and she could really hear how that didn’t feel safe inviting that person in.  So instead she invited me to bring in someone who represented that mothering energy instead – so the next time I happily brought in my Great Aunt, another Aunt and a lovely older female friend.

Which in turn created a totally different experience!

So remember:-

“Let everything that needs to go, go.  Let everything that needs to come, come. “

On that note, let’s crack on with the reading.

Okay, when I went to my delicious guides and asked who wanted to come and play.

These lovely guides came in loud and proud!  If they are new to you, please let me introduce you.

“As above, so below.  As within, so without.  Today, many of us seek to reclaim the sense of connectedness that existed universally in ancient cultures, when human fate was wholly entwined with nature.

The world was seen as a symbiotic entity in which all living organisms interacted and supported each other, from the innermost cellular level to the outermost cosmological level.  An essential bridge is being rebuilt between humans and nature, allowing us to access the realm of the transcendent and the land of the luminous.

Herbalism is the medicine of belonging, a gateway through which we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source. “

With all that being shared, let’s drop in shall we? Take a delicious breath and invite in the energy of endings, as when there is an ending there is a new beginning. What needs to just gently drop away (no drama), so that something new can grow?

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a wee peak, shall we?

REISHI

Retreat

Called lingzhi in Chinese, Reishi represents immortality and is considered the “herb of spiritual potency,” meaning success, well-being, divine power, and longevity.

Said to have been discovered in 396 BC in the Changbai Mountains of China by Taoist monks, it is one of the oldest mushrooms used in medicine.  It has long been called an anti-aging mushroom and powerful Shen tonic, a category of medicines that “nourish the spirit.”

Reishi powerfully influences our main spiritual centres: the endocrine, nervous, and hormonal systems.  Hormones powerfully impact our perception, mood, sleep-wake cycles, ability to bond with others, and awareness of reality.  They activate the nervous system, which is also directly related to igniting mystical experiences.

Reishi is ruled by Jupiter, the “guru of planets,” the one that dictates how we derive wisdom and access to the mysteries of life.

Reishi is inviting you to Pause.  It’s time for renewal.

If you feel overwhelmed or mentally overloaded, it’s time to retreat.  Take the time to recuperate and recharge, and personal growth will follow.  Overstimulation and indecision lead to a sense of weakness, imprisonment, and a feeling that you are evading death.

Like Bear, hibernate or rest before you take on the next project or challenge.

Many Native American tribes have called this space of inner contemplation the Dream Lodge, a place to witness death and see beyond the confines of physical reality by visiting the dreamtime.

Create the space to be in silence and calm the internal chatter.  Take time for reflection and nurturing yourself (and we all have that time).

MITRAGYNIA

Shape Shifting

The Indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia have valued the power of this rainforest tree for thousands of years and have used it as a poultice to treat wounds, as well as treatment for a variety of symptoms, including stress, pain, fatigue and fever.

Like Coca leaves in the South American highlands, fresh leaves from the Mitragynia tree are chewed for energy and stamina throughout the day.

Mitragynia was revered among monks in Asia, as it assisted them during long periods of meditation by providing focused attention and positive energy.

Mitragynia embodies elements of both Saturn and Neptune, as it profoundly relieves and decompresses the musculoskeletal system, while granting a freeing and euphoric feeling to the body-mind.

Used in the right amounts, it can greatly assist those with addiction (Neptune).

The balanced side of Mitragynia represents the ability to shapeshift and adapt across realities.

Like the Dragonfly, Mitragynia grants us the power to break through the illusionary facade we often accept as reality, providing us the freedom from pain in order to break through limiting illusions.

Dragonflies, like Mitragynia, help us initiate subconscious healing from the trauma experienced from endless cycles of pain and suffering.

Dragonfly medicine invites us to seek out the parts of our habits that have gone unchanged, unnoticed, and stagnant.

Ask yourself, have I tended to the changes I’ve been wanting to make?

Don’t get lost in the labyrinths of self-doubt.

Break free from illusive belief systems that hold back your transformation.

ANGEL’S TRUMPET

Death

Angel’s Trumpets have an intoxicating scent and flowers that resemble angelic horns aimed downward, symbolising the call of the angels to humanity.

Plants in the Brugmansia genus and relatives like Daturas have a rich history of use among shamans and magic practitioners, even though they are poisonous.

Some South American Indigenous groups, like the Kamsa, Jivaro, and Ingano, initiate their children at a young age into the path of curanderismo – becoming a healer – by ingesting Angel’s Trumpet during a flower ceremony.

Jivaro boys who walk the shamanic path are given the medicine at the age of six to acquire an external-vision-producing soul that lets them communicate with ancestors called arutam wakani.

Angel’s Trumpet is ruled by Pluto and Mars.

Angel’s Trumpet signals a time of catharsis or death.

A deep emotional breakdown is due or near.  You may feel lost in your own emotional despair, depression, shame, or unworthiness, but now the angels of discernment and darkness are here to support you.

Coming eye to eye with the darkest feelings within yourself catalyses the greatest awakening.  Deeply pause, let go of control, and witness the broken pieces within yourself with loving awareness.

The medicine of the Bat symbolises the need for a ritualistic death of relations, situations, or aspects of life.

Bat, like Angel’s Trumpet, signals catharsis and rebirth, signalling literal or metaphysical death of old patterns and worn out habits.

Understand that you can reconstruct at any time, create something new, deeper, richer and more in alignment, regardless of how shattered you feel.

Wowzer!  Oh my giddy aunt, the messages tie in with the eclipse energy and the monthly energy (and you seriously can’t make this shit up!)

Wishing you a stupendous week and inviting the mantra into your life with trust and faith and feel the dross drop away like drops of rain off a Gortex rain jacket.  Big hugs and squeezes!

Mother’s Day and De-cluttering Relationships

Jenny Heston · 1:01 am ·

Happy Marvelous, Magickal, Magnificent, Miraculous, Merry, Majestic, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely!  How was Mother’s Day for you? I realised yesterday that asking that question can be rather loaded as there are so many energies that float around that day, there’s:- love, frustration, loss, disconnect, yearning, joy, expectations, connection, being invisible – and so very many more.  It reminded me of years ago when I was in a lovely Kundalini yoga class and my most amazing mentor invited us to bring in our Mother, to feel that energy of safety, unconditional love and peace. Well, I have to say that was not what happened for me by any stretch, instead it brought up loss, abandon, grief and some very dark emotions which had me sobbing the whole way through class!

So this got me to thinking about Spring; decluttering our homes, gardens, workshops, kitchen cupboards, that one scary drawer that gathers everything from buttons, to one shoelace to a used bandaid.  But what about relationships?

Do you ever declutter your relationships?

Now what do I mean by that.  I mean sit down and do an inventory of how that relationship is working for you, what you bring to the table, what you receive, how it makes you feel etc. For example, I noticed a while ago that since moving I have attracted female “friends” into my life that most certainly want me to take care of them and look after things for them.  Now, this in itself is not an issue if it’s a two way street, however, some haven’t been and there is a feeling of “Jenny will take care of it”. So interestingly enough, even though I could kinda see this I still kept stepping up to the plate, then I noticed that some of these women would be a couple of hours late for an arranged meeting, or would just sit and talk about themselves with no awareness as to what was happening in my life.  Ahhhhhh, okay this is an old pattern from family of origin that is surfacing again. Thus, over the last 3 weeks I have really been looking at which relationships feel like a one way street and not ones of reciprocity, kindness, awareness and caring. Do you just cast them aside then was the question I had to ask myself. Some, most certainly yes! Others, I have moved out of the inner circle of relationships and put them more on the periphery, they are still there, but they don’t get the energy and attention that I had poured into them before.  I am still open to them changing and growing, but it’s more a case of seeing if the other person is willing to put the effort in from their end, with no attachment to the outcome.

I will say, this has freed up so much energy for me and has released a lot of frustration and feelings of neglect.  Have you ever done this? If you haven’t I highly suggest you do, it’s quite an interesting exercise. It also ties in with the glorious theme of AWARENESS that is at play for us this month.

Okay, enough chuntering on, let’s crack on with the reading.  The cards that were most adamant to come and guide this week are The Oracle of the Shapeshifters.  Now if these guides are new to you, let me introduce them (as that’s the polite thing to do),  These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you.  Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone.  We change and we change again. We fear change. Yet it comes. For us to fear change is as foolish as winter crying for the coming of spring. Change is. Fear corrupts.  These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear. True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract.  You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable: You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit. But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said  yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you. You are never alone with these beings.” Phew!  So there we have it are you ready?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come to the forefront are Smoky Quartz – this is an amazing stone for grounding, leaving behind baggage and surrendering.  Stone Canyon Jasper – is known as the ‘supreme nurturer’. It bestows a feeling of tranquility and integrity, by providing warmth, nourishment, and protection.  Amethyst –  aids in healing and intense spiritual growth.

The flowers are lovely Bachelor Buttons and Poppy petals.

Let’s settle, yes?  Just breathe nice and slow, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  Allow your shoulders to gently drop and nestle along your spine, like gorgeous wings at rest.  Breathe into the corners of your belly and down to your toes. Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you, inviting you to “see” them.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a peek!

TWO KITTENS

This magickal being is holding tight to two beautiful cats; both of them offer her growth in her femininity, independence, and satisfaction of many levels.  Both of them are very young, very tender. She feels nurturing and protective toward them both. “How can I put one down?” she asks, torn. She is being asked to choose between the two, to separate one thing from another, and she is shocked that she must make this choice.  When this being come to you, tune in. Ask yourself, your body, what it wants to do. Make a decision. You can no longer go on at this point attempting to walk in two directions at once. And that which you most fear – causing pain – will not happen when you choose. Cats are about your independence,  your ability to leap high and to make it through many tricky situations. Choose. Choose now.

So are you having trouble making an important decision?  You can’t see which one to choose? Which way to go? Both seem equally good or equally flawed?  Hmmmm. We have come to show you the difference between two choices. You know you can take only one road at this time, and you know you must trust that that which you leave behind – that which you are telling yourself you are abandoning – will be safe and cared for.  You will make it through this choice without feeling agonies of guilt. You will. The Universe trusts you to make the right choice! Feel it – you can now choose between seemingly indivisible ways. There will be a solution to this impossible situation.

For now, put one thing down and choose the other, or no real growth can take place.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

You are changing the way you view yourself and speaking up and out.  Others see you as an advocate for justice and fair play. You defend others by being who you are, simply by refusing to hide away or be fearful.  By waking up every day, despite hardships, you are showing so many the way to live. You have made friends with your strength, and while people have mistaken you for a pushover, you  know when the time comes that you are a strong person who cannot be stopped.

Like a wolf, you have fur and claws, and brothers and sisters who will help you if you only so much as call on their energy.  But to find them, you must connect with the wolf within. It is time to travel on a new path, crossing a wood that seems empty and cold, but you will not be alone or as helpless as others seem to think you will be.  You are not prey. You will have strong and unconventional allies. Like a wolf, you must be prepared to defend yourself, even if it means facing a fight. There is time to stand your ground and face the enemy. That time has come, brave one.

As little Red Riding Hood says – once I was hunted.  I do no not hunt in return, but watch. And I am strong.  I am myself, and I am proud of who I am. No one can harm me now that I have this knowledge, and with  my mystic familiar – my lone wolf – by my side, I continue to walk my path. While I have lost some of my innocence, I have my life, my strength, my voice, my ability to stay myself no matter what others do or sy.  I will no be a victim. I am not a victim. I am alive. And I will never give up.

THE FAERY BEE

A bee appearing in the beautiful natural world is a wonderful sign that true health is being restored to you.  Bees speak of timeless wisdom – as in the ancient proverb “Ask the wild bee what the Druids know” – and are adept at creating shapes, patterns and, of course, honey, which provides food, sweetness, a natural antiseptic, and air-ionizing healthful wax, and can be made into med.  It is also said that after completing the ritual of the the labyrinth in ancient Crete, the priestesses of Ariadne offered the initiates honeycomb to celebrate and acknowledge that all their needs would be met from that time forth. Bee can symbolise abundance, but, most import, it symbolises that all you need is being provided – and love is sure to come.

You ask me where the honey is, where the sweetness of life, the ease of life is?  You sonder where the casual health and robust days have gone, and where the bright flowers and the sunshine have vanished to?  No one took these things from you. You denied yourself your own needs and pleasures. I am here at all times, yet you have turned away from the natural world.  For you to bring back its sweetness, you must spend time with flowers, ones that blossom generously – flowers of the plant kingdom and flowers of the human kind.

You have spent too much time among the bare-branched ones, who have told  you that you will never acquire the luxury of feeling safe and comforted, but I am here to share that living life sweetly is as simple for you now as being outside in the sunshine for a few moments every day.  The the flowers will bloom; the bees will come back; your joy and delight will return.

Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-bl Here we go loves, tomorrow brings our once-in-a-blue-moon moment. 🌕🩵

This Sagittarius full blue moon is bringing a cosmic green light for growth, expansion and taking the leap into the known (and unknown).

It’s here to free you from the confines of your comfort zone, illuminate the beliefs and fears that have kept you small, and call you towards the fullest and truest expansion of yourself.

You may already be feeling the restlessness building. A feeling that something needs to change. That you’ve outgrown certain parts of your life, limiting thoughts, old stories or ways of being that no longer fit the version of you you’re becoming.

This moon wants you to stop waiting for some imaginary future and begin taking steps towards the life your heart and soul truly yearn for now.

You’ll know deep down where you’re being called to go and what you’re being called to do and yes, it may feel big. But your soul wouldn’t call you into it if you weren’t ready.

This is your once-in-a-blue-moon moment to believe in yourself, stretch beyond what feels comfortable, trust your path and take the leap.

Just like the Sagittarius archer, draw back your bow, take aim for what you want and go for it.

The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we The Taurus new moon is a powerful reminder that we cannot hear the guidance or receive and anchor in the new energies and frequencies coming in when we are in a state of dysregulation or high alert.

The world is getting quicker and louder, and many of us are being pulled in too many different directions by too many different demands on our time, energy and attention, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overloaded and agitated.

This moon is asking us to consciously slow down, unplug from the noise of the outside world and take back our attention from anywhere it’s scattered. Because when our attention is scattered, our power and awareness leak, making it easier to feel lost, uncertain and disconnected from ourselves.

This moon is asking us to root deeply into ourselves, regulate our nervous systems and reconnect to our own wisdom, because only from a grounded and rooted place can we truly receive and anchor in the new frequencies and possibilities trying to come through.

How are you being called to slow down and reconnect to yourself under this moon?

Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain Tiny flower cups for the bees because the fountain water was too strong and some were drowning. 🥺🐝

Without bees we have nothing.
No flowers.
No food.
No Spring magic.

So this is your reminder to leave water out, plant flowers and protect the tiny wild things. They are holding the world together. 🌼✨

We’re taught early what it means to be a “good” wo We’re taught early what it means to be a “good” woman.
.
.
Be nice and agreeable. Don’t make people uncomfortable...even if it means you are.
.
.
We learn to shrink ourselves to keep the peace. To smile when something feels off. To choose politeness over protection.
.
.
But here’s the thing… that version of “nature” we’re told to follow? It’s not reality.
.
.
Look at females in the wild. They protect their territory. They defend their young. They set boundaries without apology. They don’t soften themselves to make others comfortable. They survive because they don’t ignore their instincts....Somewhere along the way, we were taught to override ours.
.
.
Being kind is not the same as being compliant. Being compassionate does not require self-abandonment... And your discomfort is not something you owe the world.
.
.
You are allowed to take up space, say no and choose yourself.
.
.
That’s not unnatural....That’s instinct.
Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the Bealtaine blessings! 🌸🌿🧚🏼 In the Celtic lands, the ancient festival of Bealtaine marks the start of the summer season.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Traditionally Bealtaine did not have a fixed date, though it has come to be celebrated by many in modern times on the first of May (and here in Ireland, this week has indeed very much felt like our first glimpse of summer).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
At this time of year we celebrate the greening, fertility, and abundance of the natural world. The land is bursting with life all around us, renewed from the long sleep of winter.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Much like the festival of Samhain, which sits opposite from Bealtaine on the ever-turning wheel of the year, this is a liminal time when the veil between our physical realm and the spiritual Otherworld thins.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
It is said here in Ireland that the Sídhe, the fairy folk, are more likely pass through the fairy forts, ancient burial mounds, and other “thin places” at this time of year (and folks who wander near these places may likewise find themselves wandering into the Otherworld).⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Many of the rituals performed during this festival are protective in nature.⁣ Perhaps the most time-honored of these rites is the Bealtaine bonfire 🔥 ⁣If you are unable to light a large fire, candle magic is a good option as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This energy makes Bealtaine a potent time for spirit work, hedge crossing (i.e. trance journeying), and divination. ⁣Similarly, you may have noticed your dreams becoming more vivid, or you might even experience prophetic or lucid dreams. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣
In my own practice, getting out onto the land to connect with the local spirits is one of the most important aspects of this day.⁣ I gather herbs and flowers, have a picnic, sing, dance, and share offerings with the local spirits of place 🌀
