Samhain, Stories and Scorpio New Moon Eclipse!

Happy Marvellous, Magnificent, Magickal, Manifesting, Miraculous Monday!!  

How are you delicious one?  

What I am absolutely pig wiggly tickled about is, Samhain is almost here!!!  (You may know it as Halloween) and I love, love, love Halloween.  The smells, the leaves, the costumes, the decorating – the whole nine yards!  

At the time that most of us celebrate Halloween it is also the festival of Samhain, the third and final Harvest festival  where we celebrate with fire, eating and honouring the dead.  

In many places, Samhain coincides with the end of the growing season. Vegetation dies back with killing frosts, and therefore, literally, death is in the air. This contributes to the ancient notion that at Samhain, the veil is thin between the world of the living and the realm of the Dead and this facilitates contact and communication.  

This is also the Celtic New Year.  Now I know some people get a tad tweaky when we talk Death, but death represents a release, whether it’s a release of breath, a release of habit, a release of a relationship.  That’s all it is.

Last week I was honoured and blessed to be officiating a celebration of life.  It was the first one I have done since my sister died 3 years ago, as to be honest I didn’t feel ready, it all felt still rather raw.  

However, the other month I was approached by a family who had lost their dear father/husband and asked if I would help them craft a ceremony to honour his death.   I felt into it and came to the decision that yes, I could.

Now when I help a family create a memorial I work with the philosophy of “Let that person’s life speak”.  It’s not just about what they did or how old they were, it’s about sharing the stories of the person, the memories, the anecdotes, the love, adventures, mishaps, funny sayings, hobbies – all of it.   And in doing the interviews there are so many amazing stories, tears, laughter and memories that flood to the surface, it’s quite amazing.

So at this memorial there must have been 200 people there, it was incredible!  All of them there to honour and celebrate a man they loved and missed.  Many friends and family got up to speak and share their memories, even if their voices cracked, there was laughter, music and a beautiful video clip of this wonderful man sharing his wisdom.  

To me that is a huge part of the energy of Samhain.  Honouring the dead, the stories of your ancestors, whether they be blood or choice.  The stories of your heritage whether it be blood or choice.  The stories of the past that support you and inspire you.  

And beyond reaching out to passed loved ones, make time to acknowledge the “deaths” both great and small in your life. There are so many things that have “died” this year, so honour the ones that matter most to you, even if they are a little painful.

Look to nature for guidance, as it is always showing us how it dies and rebirths itself again and again.

So a question for you.

Just prior to Samhain, on Tuesday,  we open up the second Eclipse Portal of the year as we have a New Moon Eclipse in the delicious sign of Scorpio!

Now if you’ve been with me a while you will have heard me say – Eclipses uncover things you may have not been looking at or totally procrastinating about.  So with this Eclipse on a New Moon, what have you stuffed in your closet that you really want to plant the seeds for?  

Also, remember, the Eclipse season really ramps up the energy and not just for the day but for the weeks and months to come…….  Just saying.  

Eclipse Season is always a highly transformative time. You can think of them as portals that fast-track you to the next chapter of your soul evolution. On this fast track, we tend to undergo abrupt transformations that can be life-changing.

All Eclipses will affect us differently, some we may feel intensely and others we may barely notice. But if there is a big soul upgrade that is needed in your life, if you have been nearing the end of a journey or looking for a leaping stone to take you to a new one, Eclipses very often bring the bridge you have been waiting for.

As Forever shares,

So, when I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide and teach this week I nearly snorted tea out of my nose when I saw who was most adamant.  (Seriously you can’t make this shit up!)  The cards that chose to guide this week are Les Vampires  (seriously!)

These lovely guides come to those who are undergoing a test.  If a shadow has fallen over your life, if you are confronting the unknown, you may feel abandoned and lonely, as if there is no light, no guide, and no path to follow.  

These guides walk the hidden paths of the Dark Forest, the ones who have made the Night their home, the guardians who can help you find your way back to the Dawn. They are abundant in all that you need at this time – rich in messages to offer, lessons to teach, and wisdom to share with you.

Oh my giddy Aunt!  Perfect!

So are you ready to play?  Hope so!  Take a moment, actually take more than one and just take a Breath.  Not a shoulder high breath, but a slowing, calming breath. 

Breathe it in through your nose and out through your mouth like a shoulder dropping sigh.  Keep breathing this way and invite into your minds eye your stories.  Don’t judge them, just let them swirl there like watercolours.  Don’t attach, just let them Be.  Then when you are ready and that energy has settled, pick the card or cards that invite you in.  They have something to share with you this week.

WITNESS

To have seen what you once thought was only a rumour, or only hearsay, or perhaps even made up, means you have changed.  You have experienced the dream that comes true in the weeks after you saw faces in the night, you have spoken with the nature spirits and you have come to know there is more than what so many humans wish to admit is true and alive in the world we all share.

Vampires like us, we are said not to exist.  But you know there is more here on this planet than anyone can even begin to dream of.

You may have witnessed something of late that others still deny is “real”.  But you are now a witness and having seen, you cannot un-see.  Knowing, you can no longer deny.  It is not that we wish for you to tell all of your new knowledge.  It is that we wish you to not lie to yourself, to no longer agnoise over questions of whether what you saw and felt and understood is true or untrue.  

There is so much on this planet of ours.  Think of it.  Who are we to deny the truth of the wonder that is this planet and all the manifestations of life upon it?

Know that what you have seen and felt is true.  Another may deny that you have witnessed a true thing.  But having seen or felt it for yourself, and now knowing, you have a duty to never again lie to yourself.  

You need not make this truth your entire life.  But never again lie to yourself.  

Accept the evidence of your experience, and honour it within your heart, and within your words when wisdom demands you speak freely.  

The veils of illusion and deceit have lifted.  While this can be painful, it is also a great blessing to know the truth.  Do not doubt your experience.  And when you speak of it freely and share your experience, you will find that others too resonate with what you are sharing.

FAITH

The belief that something will take place, or is right, or is a particular way, can be called faith.  Faith is quiet and hopeful, offers contentment and calm, it has not bravado, and it need not insist on its rightness.

Faith is something we have too, and we observe it in the best of those we call humans, the warm-blooded ones of whom you are one.

It is a beautiful gift that you humans have to be believers in this quiet, gentle way.  Faith is not always beautifully expressed.  Faith is a loving amazing quality, but it must be attached to something that is worthwhile.  

What do you have faith in?  What is faith to you?  Were you taught faith as a child, and did you lose faith at one point?  For you are often taught to believe in things that do not deserve your faith.

It may be time to relearn what it is you have enduring constant hope for – what you know will come to be, even if your eyes may never see.  To have faith is to remain loyal, but in a truly heartfelt way.  Tender, moving and full of grace, your faith may soon return to you.  Choose wisely in what you place this gift of your faith.  

If you have lost faith in a person, project, or humanity itself, it’s time to examine the source of your faith.

Know that it can be revived, and this time, you may choose where you place this most beautiful and tender of faiths.

REASON

I am the one who comes to you now so you can see clearly!  You feel others have had problems in this area, but if you simply think positively and send out waves of love the way will be cleared.

But no, this is not how this particular power works, my friend.

There is an obstructive force around you at present, one that will not allow you to pass, unless you strictly meet all criteria.  This force, in the form of a person, or institution, or corporation requires you to do everything that is required to pass through the gates.  

So, although you may consider yourself to be more charming, more well-liked, able to convince others, and worthy of inclusion, there is tedious paperwork and criteria that must be met – and we Vampires have this too.  You must do this perfectly, if you wish to pass the test, and gain what it is you seek.  

In the past it was the Church who controlled, now it is large companies and government institutions with their digital records and officious ways.  Whether it is tax time, or when you must fill out a form of endless length, read, and read again, the agreements you sign.  

Do not consider yourself different or better than others – for when it comes to matters like these, we are all subject to laws that are tedious at worst, punishing at times, and cruel at others.  The list goes on and on – there is a cruelty to the faceless conformity of bureaucracy – and to the negligence that can stifle your plans, and sometimes even threaten your very future.  

It’s time to sit calmly down, clear your mind, then begin to work your way through the details of a dilemma.  Trust us, there is a person about you who is able to advise you – please ask them for their assistance, and listen and act when that good advice is given with love and no strings attached.  

Your mind is powerful, and will be used for your soul’s highest purpose.  Accept excellent advice, and see the results this can bring.  

Wowzer, wowzer, wowzer.  What fabulous messages for this time, with Samhain approaching, New Moon Eclipse and where we are at this moment in time.  So most gorgeous bean, I wish for you a stupendous week filled with ease, tears and laughter.  Be gentle with yourself and those around you, treat yourself to the glorious Book of Samhain, carve a pumpkin or two!  And get ready to really  practice your magick and release the old year and welcome in the new one.  Big hugs and squeezes!

The Veil is Thinning, Samhain is Coming and it’s almost Eclipse time. Whoot!

Happy Magickal, Mystical, Misty, Mizzly, Magnificent, Musical, Manifesting Monday!

Fall feels like it has arrived! Even though the weather is unusually warm here, it was as if a switch went off one day last week and voila we entered Fall. The breeze tasted different, the leaves started to gently fall and there is an anticipation in the air. It’s really quite delicious!

Which means that Halloween/Samhain is coming! (You should see my happy dance!) I love, love, love Halloween, it is my most favourite celebration. The pumpkin carving, the costumes, the terrorising small children when they come for sweeties and the decorating.

My front yard is bedecked and adorned with tombstones, skeletons dancing with the sunflowers, ghosts, ghouls and headless creations. I love it!

Many of you have asked if there is going to be a Magikal Manual for Samhain (Halloween), you bet!  It will be available for next week.

Now you may have heard people say “Samhain is coming and the veil is thinning.”

But what does that actually mean?

Let’s begin this exploration by considering that on one level, we are each separate beings with our finite little lives. But on a truer level, we are each infinite and eternal. We have no beginning and no end. And we are one with each other and every single thing. At Samhain, that relentless, all-pervasive Mystery is as close as it ever gets. And now we’ve arrived at what we mean when we say “the veil is thin.” 

You might say the veil is the place where the everyday illusion of separation brushes up against the divine truth of eternity and universal interconnection. The place where form meets spirit, seen meets unseen, known meets unknown.

When we meditate or perform ritual, or when we have a mystical experience of any variety, this curtain parts and we are able to gaze into the place of power, the place between the worlds.

Why does the veil thin throughout October, and particularly at Samhain? 

Because the days are getting shorter and the natural world is preparing to temporarily withdraw from the realm of life and growth. The harvest cycle is waning, but it’s not gone. 

This means Samhain is a transition: a doorway between the season of life and the season of death. Beneath this realm of constant change, there is a wide open space of eternity. A place of stillness in which the appearance of change arises. A serene openness to which we will always return, and with which we are one, even at this very moment.

Okay, enough chuntering on let’s crack on with the reading!  When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to guide, heal and support this week I was delighted to see that The Spirit of the Animals Oracle chose to shine.  

So in case you may have never met them, let me introduce you.  “Animal Medicine, Animal Totems, and Animal Mascots have had cultural significance throughout our history.  Europeans adopted animals as tribal symbols that were later incorporated into crests for nations.  China has an animal associated with every birthday.  The Romans celebrated the eagle as the symbol for the empire. 

Our ancestors observed the appearance of animals as omens and signs.  Shamans and mystics rely on spirit animal helpers.  Native Americans have vision quests to discover their personal animal totem.  School sports teams choose animal mascots.  It is no wonder that the interest in animals as emblems and how they relate to us still persists.  Animals as symbols live in our deepest memory.”

Wonderful!  So my darling one just settle in.  Allow your breath to bring you back into your body and call back all the pieces of you that you may have left in various places throughout the last week.  Just breathe them all back to your core, like welcoming in little sparks of starlight.

LIZARD

Lizard is an Ancient One.  They are reptiles from an older time.  Their quick action and quirky maneuvers outwit and confuse their adversaries.  Lizards survive.

PEACOCK

The Peacock is the most iridescent of all birds.  Their feathered cloak of blue, aqua and gold is worthy of royalty.  Their boisterous cries hold both mockery and laughter, which comes from their regal self-confidence.  Peacocks are blessed with clear vision that notices the smallest detail.  Because of their ability to eat poisonous snakes, Peacocks were used as protectors in ancient temples. 

If Peacock appears good luck will follow.  The feathers of Peacock are symbols for protection, prosperity and sensuality.  The Peacock is a symbol for rebirth and new beginning like its cousin the esuvie Phoenix.

If Peacock has walked into your life you have a colourful and vibrant personality that is sure to win admirers.  You can raise yourself to great heights of brilliance in your field.  Peacock people have the gift of observation and kenn perception.  Your inner vision brings you wisdom and foresight.  You must guard against letting your vanity or pride get the better of you. 

The best Peacocks are just their authentic selves.  Your positivity and radiance helps lift others up to realise their own worth.

You were born to shine and inspire.

Practice humility to avoid jealousy.

OWL

Owl is the messenger and revealer of secrets.  The totem of oracles and seers, Owl sits on their shoulder and is their advisor  When Owl flies into your life know that a time of unveiling is at hand and the truth will be made known.  Change is in the wind. 

Owl medicine can help you release the past and fly into a better future. 

Owls are creatures of the night.  Their silent flight and superior vision make them supreme hunters.  They capture the prize.  If they cross your path repeatedly it is a warning to review your situation and see where deception is lurking.  To see an owl can be an omen that a profound change is coming.

If Owl is your totem you are an Old Soul.  You succeed with wisdom.  No one can deceive you and you see into others’ souls.  Be sure to keep your knowledge secret unless asked to provide counsel.  Trust should not be broken.

Spiritual Meaning of the Hunter’s Moon

On October 9th we welcome the Hunter’s Moon.

This Full Moon marks the end of the Harvest season and is rich in ancestral magick.

It is a time to start really connecting with your heritage, your ancestors and looking at what they have given you.  It’s also a delicious time of releasing your own old stuff.

Remember that at Full Moon it is time to Release your energy, as the Full Moon marks the end of a cycle, and the Moon begins to grow dark, again.

The Hunter’s Moon derives its name from the hunting that takes place this time of year. Now is the season of the rut for Deer and Elk (mating season), and game are currently well-nourished. 

October’s moon brings the season of the hunt, preservation, and preparation for the icy cold days and nights to come.

The Hunter’s Moon is focused on internal work and self-reflection. We now begin the dark half of the year; accept and welcome the darkness with open arms and spirit. It’s a time of transition, divination, and balance. 

Take a moment to look back in history at your ancestors and the lessons they can teach you. Before industrialism, people focused on harvesting and preparing for the coming of Winter. Failure to do so meant facing one’s own death or mortality.

You can feel the magical energy in the air right now as we head toward Samhain, and the veil grows thin. This increases your ability to communicate with your ancestors or loved ones. It’s an opportunity for spiritual growth, goal setting, gratitude, and finding ways to slow down and enjoy the season of Autumn.

So let’s explore a delicious ritual and some journal prompts to support you in deepening into the release and the magick of this moon. 

October is Here, The Energy has Changed, Full Moon in Aries and the Eclipse portal opens!

Hello most gorgeous lovely – Happy Magickal, Miraculous, Moodling, Merry, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday!  The first Monday of October!!

I don’t know about you but it felt as if September just went zipping by, I put that down to the fact that in my family we are in the birthday season.  Yes I did say season. 

We had 5 birthdays to celebrate in September (including mine and thank you all for your lovely birthday wishes) and from now until Winter Solstice we have another 9 to celebrate!  

So snuggle up honey, grab a cuppa and let’s natter as we have lots to explore this week!  We have an energy shift, a glorious Full Moon in Aries this weekend and the Eclipse portal doth open!

But what does that mean for you? Lots!

With moving into October (one of my favorite months) as I love Samhain (Halloween), the veil thinning and the honoring of the ancestors, we have had a huge energy shift.  Many of you have written asking for tools and help as the energy is feeling quite off the wall and at times overwhelming.  Which I totally understand.  

In fact the other day I was very aware that the energy felt sharp and it was as if everything was very loud and too bright – so this is where self care tools and energetic tools come into play in a big way..

As Lena shares:

The main theme for October is: “Tumultuous Transitions”.

“October is a potentially stressful month where patience, acceptance and flexibility are needed to navigate it well. We are being pushed up against the wall of our own internal process of change and there is nowhere else to hide from what needs to be released, healed and transformed. 

There will be cranky times where you feel pulled to go back inside, be alone and in your process. And there will be times where you feel a push to get out in the world and jumpstart your next chapter. 

The energy is up and down, tricky and erratic, with the potential for disruption. However there will also be times of magic, beauty, cooperation and support.

The responsibility and discipline this month will be to manage your energy in a way that uses it for positive change, personal evolution and necessary reorganization instead of being quick to anger, blame and negative reactions. 

Make kindness a daily practice and take care of the relationships you value.”

This coming Sunday (October 9th), is the glorious Full Moon in Aries, also known as The Hunter Moon.  

The Hunter Moon is focused on internal work and self-reflection. 

We now begin the dark half of the year; accept and welcome the darkness with open arms and spirit.

Take a moment to look back in history at your ancestors and the lessons they can teach you. Before industrialism, people focused on harvesting and preparing for the coming of Winter.

Failure to do so meant facing one’s own death or mortality.

You can feel the magical energy in the air right now as we head toward Samhain, and the veil grows thin. 

This increases your ability to communicate with your ancestors or loved ones. It’s an opportunity for spiritual growth, goal setting, gratitude, and finding ways to slow down and enjoy the season of Autumn.

It’s also a Healing Moon however, this isn’t healing that comes in a nice tidy package, this is the healing that comes when you hit the place of surrender.  Which is the perfect time to invite the wisdom, support and love of your ancestral team to come work with you, or to heal and release any ancestral wounds you may be packing around.  

Chiron, coupled with the Aries lunar energy, promises healing, not from trying to fix, control, or force, but from surrender. When we surrender, it gives rise to acceptance, to letting go, to forgiveness, and opens us to the possibilities that those states can create.

And I know for many people the word “surrender” is so tough to embrace, however, it is an incredibly powerful thing to do.  

So do you see how the energy of the month and the Full Moon energy are tying together?

Then later in the month we open up the second Eclipse Portal of the year.  This is a time of significant acceleration of the collective and individual evolutionary pace. That in turn will open new doors and bring fated changes in our lives.

However, we will explore that later this month, as with the Full Moon energy it’s time to do some clearing and healing and embrace the energy of this month so that when Eclipse time comes you are feeling open, accepting, and supported.

When I went to the glorious cards and asked who wanted to guide and support you this week I was delighted to see  The Oracle of the Shapeshifters.  As we are all shapeshifting in some shape or form right now.

Okay my darling, take a moment to breathe yourself here.  Hold your hand up to your heart level with the palms facing up to the sky.  See golden light being poured into them from the Divine and entering your heart and flooding through every cell of your body.  

Stay here a moment and just breathe that in.  

Then when you are ready, ask your wise self, your divine self, what do you need to know this week to support you in working with the energies of this month.  Then pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

ORCA MAGICK

Orcas are the brilliant, physical, living reservoirs of Earth and galactic history.  They are the carriers of wizards on their backs, according to Norse myth, meaning they carry the great sage lines of transformation and transmutation, and can pass this lore along.  They hold this history in the patterns of their ancient songs.

Whales can assist with intergalactic travel (without physically leaving the planet), seal and repair any wounds or tears in your energy field, and return to you the parts of your soul that you may be unaware are even missing.  

A TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

A time to say goodbye will help you to let go, even though it hurts a lot.  This is now out of your hands; you have to say goodbye at this time. 

Be active in this ending when this card comes to you.  Be brave; think about how you can best take care of yourself at this time, and show the other person how much you care.  Don’t ignore or shun them.  Rather, let this person know what they have meant to you, wish them well on the next stage of their life journey, and let….them…go! 

There may be great sadness in doing so, but you will grow so much because you have chosen the better way to deal with this sad situation.  This other person has learned how to detach and stay detached.  He asks that you do not ask for him to return, to stay, or to cling. 

Be strong because you need to be dignified, and believe that something better is coming.  Because that is the truth.  Something better is coming.  So open your arms, and let him be free, as he has learned to be. 

You may be reluctant to see an ending – you may wish to extend the time you have with someone, or you may even feel like you are being cheated out of something you deserve. 

But the truth is that things must die in order to be reborn in another form at a later time.  This is the chosen time to go, and from the ashes, something new will arise, and it will be even better than you can imagine. 

Rebirth cannot take place without a death – and it is now time to end something, to let something both externally and internally die. 

It may be a long-held belief, a place that seemed to hold security, a friendship that has grown unhealthy, someone you’ve been going out with who no longer wishes to see you, or a beloved family member who may not be in this world much longer.  Whatever it is, let it – let them – go! 

Something else will return to you.  And you cannot be reborn unless you first know how to die.  This is your chance to learn something very profound, deep, and important.  Do not miss it by resisting what must take place.   

SNOW WHITE AND HER ANIMAL FRIENDS

You are loved and trusted.  Even the small ones of the forest gather with you after times of great unrest, when they feel they cannot find another trustworthy human to be with.  You have the energy of the gentle ones, and thus the small ones, the vulnerable ones like us, come to you – not to take, but to show you how trusted you are.

It is not a burden; it is a great honour.  Rarely do we show ourselves, but to you, we come and lay our heads in your lap.  There is such an air about you.  You are a safe, good person.

It is time for you to step up and protect others who are smaller and more fragile than  you.  This may be a reversal in roles for you, but the deer and the hare and the quiet, soft ones have chosen you because they trust that you can do this job.  

You may beel an unlikely hero, and you may experience a completely unforeseen victory.  But you can do it.  You must take great steps now to live up to this honour and trust.  It will be simple for you while you remain in the forest, but when you venture out into the world once again, will you make choices that support?

Make a commitment to protect .

Something you wished for will be given up, for now, so you can do something for the good of others.

But your energy will change as a result, and that will bring to you your deepest dreams and desires, purified and at the perfect time.

Equinox and Libra New Moon (the only one this year).

Equinox is nearly here!  Equinox is nearly here! (Can you tell I love it?) 

September 22nd brings in the Fall Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.  For all you gorgeous beasts in the Southern Hemisphere it is Ostara.   And yes the new Mabon Magickal Manual for 2022 was released on Thursday (and thank you so much for all  your lovely emails sharing how you are enjoying it). And if you have no clue what I am talking about, just go check it out.  No pressure.

When I was out hiking on the weekend and the smell of woodsmoke wafted on the cool early morning breeze, it was the perfect reminder that we are transitioning from summer to fall.  And yes, I know many people love summer and I do enjoy it, but give me Fall and Spring any day!

The leaves will soon all be resplendent in the most delicious arrays of oranges, yellows, crimson reds and then will drop slowly to the ground to offer nutrition to the seeds that you will plant come Spring. 

I always use the change of seasons as an opportunity to pause and reflect.

It’s the perfect time to reflect on your life, your Self, and any growth & changes you’ve gone through over the year so far.

When we look closely at the energy present in each season & what’s happening in nature, we’re able to see the personal growth work the Earth is really supporting us in right now.

Because, nature WANTS us to grow and expand with ease and grace, and sometimes, like the trees we need to release and turn inwards.

When changes occur in nature, they resonate within our own spirit. Deep in our bones, in our DNA and in the whispers of memories we have forgotten.  There was a time when we were deeply connected to these rhythms, but, over time, technology and our modern culture has separated us from those celestial vibes. 

Aligning yourself with the cycles of nature as a practice can be exceptionally transformative.

Here is a simple, easy ritual that you can do on Mabon (Equinox).  Do you have apples in your house?  Good, why not take a moment and pause.    

I personally, am taking the day of Equinox off, going and playing, taking that moment to move into ritual and celebration as it is also my birthday!

On Saturday the 25th (whilst still in the Equinox energy of balance and gratitude), we welcome in the New Moon in Libra, which is the only New Moon this year in this sign.  The New Moon is all about a new cycle, and the Libra New Moon is all about finding ways to reestablish balance that has been lost. 

Finding a sense of balance allows us to deal with life’s issues smoothly, and helps us to discover the peaceful neutral point from which clarity, common sense, and cooperation come from.  It allows us to see where we are over giving and where we are resistant to receiving.  (Hmmmm, how many of us have done that?)

“The cosmic music that flows from this New Moon is sweet, harmonious, and aligned to help us vibrate with our true and highest Self.

Under the dark night of the New Moon, ask yourself, how and where is my energy best used? Where can I be of greatest service?”

So dear heart, be here, just this moment.  Don’t worry about the other moments, they will or won’t happen.  Just breathe into this very moment.  Take a glorious deep breath in, and then a long sigh out through your mouth.  Let your shoulders drop, let your jaw relax and breathe again in the same way.  

I then invite you to see in your mind’s eye that place of balance, that place of neutrality, calm and ease.  What does it feel like for you?  What do  you have to release to come to that place?  What might you have to change to walk in that flow daily?  Breathe that all in.  Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that call to you.

THE SENTINEL

Within the world you dwell in, a storm is brewing.  It is visible to many, so far, and most are completely unaware of its approach.  They no longer notice the fall and rise of the air about them, the tightening of the pressure, or the release of rain, for they dwell within their glass towers and longer feel a part of the elements and the dance between them.

But you do, Seeker, and you are aware that there is a force gathering.  What its outcome will be, how it will break, and what it will do are still mysteries, but you can prepare for this storm approaching.  Others will not listen.

Others will see you as “negative” or “odd”  when you inform them of what it is you are preparing for.  Regardless, prepare anyway.  Watch.  And take care of what it is you need to do.  This is nothing to be fearful of.  It is simply advanced knowledge of a storm – and storms can damage, or they can pass by overhead and clear the air.  

The Sentinel of the Skies, this dragon being, invites you now to see things from his magickal perspective – to go high above buildings and the everyday, and see the implications of the change that is coming.

Foresight is a gift and enables you to look out for those who will listen.  Know that when the storm passes – for they all will – you will be standing strong and able to help others, if necessary and continue with your life.  You are being watched over – the Sentinel will stand with you, always.

BRINGER OF CHANGE

You are not as they expected you to be, are you, dear one?  They thought you would be one who was more like themselves, who would be a part of the predesigned patterns and the wave after wave of people who keep the world travelling in the same direction.

But you, friend, were different.  It was not intentional, nor was it a reaction – it simply was that something new was born into the world when you were brought forth.  So now you are releasing the special light and qualities that only you can bring to this planet.  And you will find that there are others like you.  Beautiful souls who seem at times to not belong and who are sometimes rejected.

Yet, part of your creation, and part of your soul’s journey, is not to come here to be a part of what already existed.  It was to come here to change what already was.  And now you are at the moment where you will show who you are, all of it, without shame or fear.  

You will no longer fear rejections or scorn or even the fear of disappointing those you love.  You, all of you, are here to give to the world something that is needed, to offer it medicine, so that we all, human, animal, winged ones, all beings are released into the freedom to be who they came here to be.  

You are flying free, now, and in turn, you will free others.  So, bring to us your own unique vision and energies and experiences, and teach us how to become who we are all meant to be.  

BENEATH THE SURFACE

There is much within the world that can be misread when we look upon the surface.  When we see with over-accustomed eyes the world around us, we cannot truly “see” what is there.  We need experience and depth and perceptive attention when we seek to truly know something.

Go beneath the surface, which this beautiful mermaid is preparing to do.  It can be easy to glide above and to avoid the depths or to fail to see the true power of something.  Because we look upon the ocean and see its calm, we can underestimate its strength.  And this is what you are being asked to do – do not go lightly into deep emotional waters, but know their strength and life-changing power by diving beneath the surface.  Know that as you go deep, you will encounter currents and the power of the ocean – the emotional world – above you.  But it is not the time to stay on the surface.

So many others feel this is adequate – and their lives are in many ways satisfactory.  But to know the true potential of yourself and of your life, you will need to take a deep breath and dive deep.

There is no need for fear or for panic – remain calm, no matter how challenging it can seem to be beneath the world in which others seem too content to live.

This life is not for you, friend, and nor are the ailments and personal stuning of growth that others experience, over and over, because they never found a way to go beneath the apparent nature of reality and go deep within.  Know you are seeing the truth about your own soul.  Explore the hidden depths of life.  That is a reward worth the risk.
