(How not to white knuckle April!)
Gorgeous Soul,
How was your Easter (if that’s something you celebrate)?
Mine was delicious… full of play, laughter, family, friends—and ohhhh, that deeply satisfying hands in the dirt time. Truly, you should see my nails… a gardener’s badge of honour if ever there was one.
Now… let’s talk about what’s really moving.
April has arrived with a kind of presence that doesn’t tiptoe in. She’s bold. A little intense. And if you’re anything like me—or the beautiful souls I’ve been hearing from—you’re feeling that sense of bigness that just keeps rolling through.
Big things in the world. Big emotions. Big shifts. One after another, like wave after wave, with barely a moment to catch your breath.
And here’s the thing that’s been landing for me…
It’s not that something is wrong.
It’s that this is part of the time we are living in.
So the invitation this month isn’t to grip tighter, brace harder, or try to out-muscle the intensity. It’s actually something far more powerful, and perhaps a little counterintuitive.
It’s to learn how to be in relationship with it.
Not just in your mind, not just spiritually—but in your body. In your soma. In the places where you unconsciously tighten, hold, and brace when life gets big.
Because Gorgeous Soul, when we do that—when we clamp down in response to intensity—we don’t just hold back what’s coming in… we also restrict our own life force. We squeeze off the very energy that wants to move through us, support us, and even expand us.
Think of a waterfall. Relentless. Powerful. Always moving. It doesn’t stop. It doesn’t negotiate. It simply flows.
And instead of trying to fight it, or getting swept under by it… I saw someone leaning back into it. Letting it pour over their shoulders, almost like a massage. Letting the intensity work with them rather than against them. Can you feel that?
This is the medicine of April.
Learning that you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through intensity. That you can soften your body, release the gripping, and allow yourself to stay open—even as big things move through your life and the world.
And here’s the real magic…
When you do that, you don’t become less present. You become more present. More resourced. More able to meet what’s here without collapsing or shutting down.
And yes… even to cultivate joy in the midst of it.
Not as a bypass. Not as pretending everything is fine. But as a grounded, embodied choice that says, I am still here. I am still alive. I am still allowed to feel joy.
Now… as if that wasn’t enough, we are also moving toward the Aries New Moon on April 17.
And ohhhh… this one carries some fire.
It feels like a threshold. A turning point. A moment where something new is being seeded—not just personally, but collectively. Like the ground beneath us is shifting and making way for a new path to emerge.
But before that newness fully arrives, there can be endings. Closures. Old ways dissolving. You may feel it in your own life, and you may see it playing out on the world stage as well.
It can feel a little intense. Maybe even a little ominous at times.
And yet… the more you can soften, surrender, and stay open to change, the more supported you will feel by these energies rather than knocked sideways by them.
Because this New Moon is fiery.
There is so much fire in the sky right now, and fire—when it’s balanced—brings passion, movement, confidence, and that delicious sense of let’s go.
But when it has nowhere to go… it can feel overwhelming. Agitating. Like you’re buzzing from the inside out. So this is your gentle nudge (okay, maybe a loving nudge with a bit of sass):
Move.
Let your body be part of this. Walk, dance, stretch, shake it out. Let the energy move through you so it doesn’t get stuck and start causing chaos inside.
And then… direct it.
This is potent energy for new beginnings. For setting intentions. For choosing, with clarity and courage, what you want to call into your life.
Write it down. Speak it. Claim it.
There is something here that wants to grow.
And woven into all of this… is the presence of Chiron. The wounded healer. Which means this isn’t just about starting fresh—it’s about healing as you do.
Old wounds may rise. Tender places. Those deep, soul-level imprints around not feeling loved, not feeling enough, not feeling like you belong. The ones that don’t just disappear, but shape how you move through the world.
And while that might sound heavy… there is something incredibly powerful here.
Because the same fire that brings things to the surface… can also transform them.
It can alchemize.
So you might find yourself gently, quietly asking…
What if I am loved?
What if I do belong?
What if I am already enough for the life I desire?
You don’t have to have the answers all at once.
You don’t even have to fully believe it yet.
Just be willing to lean in. Because this New Moon is offering you more self-love. More truth. More of you. So here we are, Gorgeous Soul… Standing between the waterfall and the flame.
Learning how to soften without losing our strength.
Learning how to move without burning out.
Learning how to meet intensity without gripping so tightly that we forget who we are.
Let the water teach you how to flow.
Let the fire remind you how to rise.
And trust… deeply… the bigness within you. Because you were never meant to be small in a world like this.
Okay, enough chuntering let’s crack on with the reading, yes?
When I went to the cards and asked who wanted to come play I laughed.
The reason I laughed is these glorious guides are playful, but deep. They think outside the box and invite you to do the same.
Okay dear one, let’s get grounded and present. Take a glorious deep breath and I invite you to see in your mind’s eye the waterfall. Hear the water cascading down, feel the spray hit your face and take a deep breath in.
If you want to go deeper into this I have a glorious guided visualisation to help and support you.
Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug at your soul strings.
Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

RA! RA! RA!
Have you had enough of the dark side of life? Fear, doubt, uncertainty, anxiety, frustration and believing that you cannot manifest your dreams are signs you’ve been in the darkness for too long. It’s your time to step out of the darkness and into the light.
It takes a lot of courage to leave darkness behind and embrace the light. To step into the light means that you give up attachment to drama, the stories of suffering and the pain of the past. You don’t deny your struggles or your pain, but you know it is possible to let it go in favour of trust, reassurance, comfort and commitment to what holds meaning for you, again and again and again, for as often as needs be until you are free.
Sometimes the courage of stepping into the light means a willingness to set aside the mental anguish and say, “Today I just choose to trust that everything is going to work out according to a higher and unconditionally-loving divine plan that has my best interests at heart.” It means that you acknowledge what you have gone through without needing to keep score. It means that you are willing to pay more attention to what is happening in this moment, and to believe wholeheartedly that the universe is working with you and for you, not against you.
Like the sun cracking through the night to bring the dawn of a new day, this is your divine wake-up call. Your dark days are numbered and your time in the divine spotlight is upon you. Be willing to shine your light, even if no-one else around you seems to understand, acknowledge or recognise it at first, or even for a long time!
You are brave enough to shine true with or without others holding your hand and encouraging you. Maybe others need to find their way to you, so they can help you or be helped by your light. For that to happen, you are going to need to stand in the dark and shine with trust, patience and courage.
If you’ve been in the dark, so to speak, for a while, you might find it hard to trust in the light at first. You might worry that the goodness won’t last and that it’s better to be pessimistic now than disappointed later. Those are tricks of darkness. Don’t believe in them.
Trust in the power of light within you and don’t be afraid to let it shine bright.
GYPSY COLOMBINE
The free spirit in you is rewilding itself, shedding social conditioning and past patterns of behaviour. It is shaking off socialisation and emerging anew like a snake shedding a skin.
The wild one within isn’t a save. It is raw, yes, but also wise, authentic, beautiful and with a deep instinctive knowing as to what you must be.
Can a bird ever be truly happy whilst trying to be a fish? True freedom is to be truthfully yourself.
Politeness and people-pleasing, not out of respect but out of fear you will otherwise be rejected, is a form of social conditioning that dulls the wild one within.
If you reject that conditioning in favour of rewilding, of getting in touch with your true instincts and nature, you will exchange lukewarm tolerance from others for their passionate admiration and love.
And for those that cannot love you, that are afraid of how much life is in you, then let them be. They do not belong in your world, nor you in theirs.
The jungle of life is a vibrant, colourful and exciting place, but not everyone is ready to live there as yet. That is just the way of things sometimes.
It’s now time to let yourself off the hook, to forgive and forget, to allow what’s been to have been and to start again. No regrets. No fear. No doubt.
It’s time to heed the call of the wild and ask yourself, “What would set my spirit free?”
LADY LUCK
Lady Luck is on your side. A change of fortune is in store for you, a twist of fate that is meant to be. You’re a winner baby! You are about to hit the jackpot.
Do you think that luck is something that only happens to other, luckier people? Your attitude can attract luck to your side, no matter if you once thought you were the unluckiest person alive!
Luck is attracted to a certain type of consciousness, an attitude, a belief that life wants to help you, and has the infinite power and creative imagination to do that in endless ways. Attracting luck means being open to the genius of life, which works itself out perfectly, bringing benefits to us again and again, even if we have no clue how, where or why it operates the way it does.
You are being given a golden ticket, a lucky break, a change in fortune that was always meant to be for you, that was in your stars. You can turn this lucky break into a lucky streak that stays with you for a long, long time, or even forever, with your attitude, your belief in the goodness of life and the generosity of your spirit.
Feel the thrill, the gratitude, the joy of being a winner, and thank the universe for it daily! Luck will visit you soon and it will love being around you so much, it will decide to stay.
Woosah! What delicious guides for the energies right now, yes? No need to white knuckle, but move your gorgeous body, weave with these energies and flow with ease and grace – whilst being fiery! Big hugs and squeezes.
