An eight-week journey through the dark season, from Samhain towards Winter Solstice.
Gorgeous Soul, there is a moment in autumn when you can feel the invitation.
The light changes. Leaves gather beneath your feet. The evenings draw closer, and something within you begins to stir beneath the busyness of everyday life.
Perhaps there is an ending you haven’t had space to honour. A question that keeps returning. A longing for deeper connection—with yourself, with others, with the living world around you.
Into the Dark is a place to bring all of that.
For eight Saturday mornings, we’ll gather online and follow a path through the dark season. Along the way, we’ll explore the stories and symbolism of the Witch, Dhumavati, Hekate and Baba Yaga; spend time with ancestry, dreams and divination; and make room for what emerges through ritual, reflection and conversation.
There will be tenderness, curiosity, a little wildness and room for laughter. Bring your questions and your wonderfully imperfect self. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.
The path we’ll walk
October 31 · At the Edge of the Dark
Samhain opens the door, and we gather at the threshold. What is shifting in your life? What are you leaving behind, and what is still taking shape? We’ll meet the Witch as an invitation to trust our knowing, deepen our relationship with nature and make room for mystery. Our opening ritual marks the beginning of the journey—a deliberate step into the quieter season.
November 7 · What the Dark Asks Us to Lay Down
Autumn knows a thing or two about letting go. For us, it can be rather more complicated. Through Dhumavati’s stories and symbolism, we’ll make space for the fears, grief and uncertainty that change can stir. Bring the ending you’re still finding words for, or the feeling you haven’t had time to sit beside. Together, we’ll offer it attention and explore what helps us live with life’s impermanence.
November 14 · A Light for Those Who Came Before
Who do you remember when the evenings grow long? With Hekate accompanying our exploration, we’ll create space for the beloved dead through altars, offerings and remembrance.
You might bring a photograph, a familiar recipe or a small treasured object. You might have no keepsakes, few stories, or memories that hold more pain than comfort. There is room for all of that. We’ll explore forms of remembrance that feel meaningful to you, with care for your boundaries and the complexity of your history.
November 21 · Roots Beneath Our Feet
We carry stories we chose and stories we absorbed before we knew we had a choice. This week, we’ll explore the roots of our belonging: family, ancestry, land and the wider living world. What has nourished you? What have you inherited that needs questioning? Through reflection and ritual, we’ll honour the support available to us and begin choosing what we wish to pass forward.
November 28 · Where the Wild Wisdom Lives
This week, we follow the path further into the woods, where Baba Yaga waits with her unsettling questions and fierce wisdom. Through storytelling and a guided inner journey, we’ll spend time with the images and encounters that catch our attention. There’s room here for curiosity, courage and the wild parts of ourselves that rarely get invited into polite conversation.
December 5 · When the Soul Speaks in Dreams
A strange house. An animal that follows you. A landscape you’ve never visited but somehow recognise. Dreams can leave us with feelings and images that linger long after waking.
We’ll explore ways to spend time with them, noticing our own associations and bodily responses. Bring a dream you’re curious about, however small a fragment. If you rarely remember your dreams, you’re equally welcome—we can begin with a waking image, a feeling or something that has caught your imagination.
December 12 · Whispers in the Candlelight
Bring your curiosity and a question worth lingering over. We’ll work with tarot and divination as practices of attention, exploring how an image can stir recognition, challenge an assumption or open a possibility. In the company of candlelight and one another, we’ll practise asking thoughtful questions and making space for our own responses.
December 19 · From the Dark, We Carry a Spark
As Solstice draws near, we pause to gather what these weeks have offered. What has softened? What have you remembered? What are you ready to tend? Our closing ceremony will hold gratitude, remembrance and intentions for the season ahead. We’ll honour the path we’ve walked together and choose a small, meaningful way to carry its gifts into everyday life.
How we’ll gather
Each two-hour gathering includes embodied grounding, seasonal and archetypal teachings, experiential practice, guided ritual, and space for reflection, conversation and community.
Our underlying movement is Pause → Remember → Reclaim → Embody. We’ll give ourselves time to listen, explore and practise, allowing the teachings to meet our actual lives.
Conversation is at the heart of this journey. There is space to speak and be witnessed, and space to listen quietly. You can pass on sharing or adapt a practice to suit your needs.
No previous experience with tarot, dreamwork or ritual is required. Come with curiosity, a notebook and a delicious cuppa.
Is this calling to you?
This journey is for women drawn to the quieter, deeper work of the season.
You may be navigating change, tending an ending, exploring your relationship with ancestry, or longing for meaningful connection. Perhaps you simply want to live more intentionally with the seasons and give your inner world some attention.
There is room for different beliefs, complicated histories and questions without tidy answers. You’re welcome to explore the stories and practices in ways that resonate with you.
Your guide
I’m Jenny Heston—a trained counsellor, ceremonialist and lay chaplain. I support women through the thresholds and transitions that ask us to pause, listen and reconsider how we want to live.
I believe we carry wisdom, worth and capacity within us. My work offers witnessing, perspective, practices and companionship as we remember what matters and find ways to embody it.
Nature is a mentor in my work. Ritual helps us honour what everyday life can rush past. And humour? Well, sometimes a well-placed “oh my giddy aunt” opens a door all of its own.

Come into the dark with us
There is wisdom in this season. In the fallen leaves, the long nights, the stories we tell and the space we make to hear one another.
If this journey is calling to you, I would love to welcome you at the threshold.
We’ll walk together, listen deeply, and see what we discover along the way.
