Well here we are at the Blood Moon Eclipse in Scorpio, how are you feeling?

If you remember, eclipses come in pairs.  As if they are a Portal or a Threshold.  

We had the first eclipse of the year just 2 weeks ago at the New Moon and its counterpart is happening right now.  However, the bottom line is – what does this mean for you?

Eclipses uncover hidden emotions, beliefs, thought patterns and habits.  

They bring to the surface the bits and bobs we have been either trying to stuff into an already over crammed closet, or have continually swept under a rug (and we wonder why the rug has a bump in the middle!)

So if you have been feeling agitated, emotional or as I like to refer to it – “itchy, twitchy and bitchy”, I’m not surprised.  

With this being a Full Moon Eclipse.  Imagine the energy of a Full Moon intensified by 100, that is the energy this brings.  The releasing of a full moon, the uncovering of an eclipse and the deep, deep emotions of scorpio (with a zing!).  

On top of it we have Mercury retrograde which is all about transforming how we communicate.

Pluto retrograde which is about facing our shadow sides, the bits that we have shunned and don’t want to accept.  Revisiting old patterns and being willing to burn them in the fires and go through the process of transformation and regeneration.

And this all happens in the South Node which is about karma, the collective karma. 

So we are going to see massive shifts and changes happening on a global scale, let alone a personal one. 

And remember, eclipse energy is in play for 3 months!

Thus, I invite you to look at this time as a Threshold.  

Now what do I mean by that?

When you think about the word Threshold, what comes to mind?  A doorway?  A gateway?  A portal? A remembering?

As we move through any change or transition, there is a sense of fear filled with expectation. Think about when your children left home or you ended a career, moved across the country, started a new relationship, ended an old relationship, lost a loved one etc.  Even going to the grocery store!

These are all thresholds, (as are the doors we walk through).

A Threshold is a liminal time.  

A space where we are between the old and the new.  (Which is what liminal means aka threshold).  

Often, when encountering thresholds, we talk as if our work is that of successfully “passing through” them. We speak of “making healthy transitions.” We seek out advice and support as we decide which thresholds to lean into and which to resist. The goal, it would seem, is figuring out how to travel forward in the right way.  But what if we looked at it a different way?

 “A threshold is a space to imagine a new way, and a new self. Not moving or pushing but sitting and cultivating… The goal is to allow you space and time to reflect on your past, present, and future.  To imagine a new beginning…”

What if a Threshold isn’t a place that you cross, but a place that you pause?  A place that transforms you?

 What if the invitation is to ask yourself daily:

What do I want to bring with me and what do I want  to leave behind (or keep out) as I move through this threshold?

As I was yomping on the weekend, in a “new to me” place.  I followed a path that led to a trail that led to the cutest “English Country” laneway that felt magickal.  There were comfrey, lilacs, sweet cicely, and a myriad of other plants growing wild on the edges.  My heart swelled with remembering and massive delightful joy.  I had found a threshold, and it brought up so many delicious things for me.  

So review the questions above and I leave you to ponder them.  

Okay, with all that being said – let’s crack on with the reading.  When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to share their wisdom and insight with you this week, the glorious “Love Your Inner Goddess” guides came out big and bold.  Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as it would be rude not to).

She is a fearless minx who will help you dance, love, storm and laugh your way into a more beautiful world, created from the heart. “

So gorgeous one, breathe.  Just breathe, BE and allow yourself to relax, your mind to calm, your breath to slow and ask your wise inner self – what do I need to know this week.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug at your heartstrings – don’t let your mind pick!

ON YOUR OWN TERMS

You are not the person you once were.  You know it, but others might not always be ready to let the old you go so easily.  Do not allow yourself to be shoved back into patterns of behaviour that are not true to who you are now.  You have worked hard to grow and become this new self.  Believe that she is more real than the old you, even if she is less familiar to others (and maybe even to you) at this stage.

All that will change, and what is new now will become familiar and easy for you to sustain in the near future.  Be stubborn in a good way whilst you – and others around you – come to realise that the new you is the real you.  

Others may offer their input, but when it comes down to it, it is you alone making your life decisions.  Your choice may once have been to meet the expectations and honour the opinions of other people – but you are aware now that the best choices for you actually honour your own heart, irrespective of whether others understand your reasons or feelings.

You now know that you don’t have to wait for permission.  You get to choose how you want to feel, how you want to live, and who you want to be.  You’re ready for the responsibility and sweet reward of living your life on your own terms.  

WARRIOR GODDESS

This is not a time to play it safe, nor is it time to allow another to take the lead in your life.  You need to believe in yourself and trust that the instincts guiding you are correct.  If you need to take action, do it.  Speak up: say yes; say no.  Trust your inner truth completely.

Be bold.  

The Universe will answer your boldest actions with affirmation, and you’ll move through the consequences of your actions with grace and courage, ending up exactly where you are meant to be.

You are ready.  Life has been preparing you.  Your experiences have made you stronger and wiser.  You have spirit and you have courage.  Believe in yourself!  You are a Warrior Goddess, and empowered, divine woman.

Trust that your foundations are strong.  Put your faith in the Universe.  It has been your life coach and guide all along, helping you build up your inner resources, encouraging you to realise the power that has always been within you.

The Universe believes in you.

When you feel it is time to take a step, take it with confidence.  When you ask for help from the Universe, ask with boldness and total confidence that your prayers will be answered in the best possible way.  You have the right to require that your personal space be respected.  You have divine permission and encouragement to claim your rightful place in the world.  You are meant to say no to behaviour that is dishonest, manipulative and bullying.

The warrior goddess uses her sacred anger to set a boundary and speak her truth, not to attack another.  She uses her inner fire to live with integrity, even if the right choices for her seem hard or frightening at the time.  She knows that the Universe has her back, so she is willing to be true to herself no matter what.  

She places integrity above all else.  She knows that compromising her self-respect to win a battle will end up losing her the war.  

YOU ARE THE LIGHT

You are going through a spiritual initiation.  This is happening because you are ready for it, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.  The way to pass this test is to rely on the light within you.  Don’t let fear or doubt make you distrust the path ahead.

Don’t let fear or doubt make you distrust the path ahead.  Don’t give in to despair or believe that things will not work out.  You are learning to trust that the Universe knows what it is doing.  There are great and beautiful things meant for you, and no matter what appears to be right now, they will come to you in the perfect way and at the perfect time.

Light is powerful.  Some people don’t understand this.  The fear in their hearts makes them cynical.  That fear stops them from seeing what is true.  In the absence of truth, they hold on to their judgements instead.  They scoff at what they don’t understand.  Be careful of allowing such people to influence you.  

It’s not wise to take advice from people who are investing in creating pain.  You can have compassion for them, but you must not underestimate how their negativity can taint your trust in the Universe.  When we feel the light within us, when we trust in it, we are able to move beyond the fear and negativity that exists in this world.  You have it within you to be that light.

The only thing that can trap you is the choice to believe in the negative and give in to the fear.  

That’s not you, so don’t choose that for yourself.  Don’t listen to people who would cause you to question the light.  The light within you is the real you.  

Be at peace, beautiful one, for the positive power of the light in you is stronger than any darkness.    Keep your faith in the light.  All will be well.  

Holy Hannah, you seriously can not make this shit up! Mothering and the Blood Moon Eclipse.

Happy Marvelous, Magickal, Magnificent, Miraculous, Merry, Majestic, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely!  How was Mother’s Day for you? 

I realised yesterday that asking that question can be rather loaded as there are so many energies that float around that day, there’s:- love, frustration, loss, disconnect, yearning, joy, expectations, connection, being invisible – and so very many more.  

It reminded me of years ago when I was in a lovely Kundalini yoga class and my most amazing mentor invited us to bring in our Mother, to feel that energy of safety, unconditional love and peace.  

Well, I have to say that was not what happened for me by any stretch, instead it brought up loss, abandonment, grief and some very dark emotions which had me sobbing the whole way through class!  (Gotta love how energy moves).  

Afterwards I went up and shared with her my experience and she could really hear how that didn’t feel safe inviting that person in.  So instead she invited me to bring in someone who represented that mothering energy instead – so the next time I happily brought in my Great Aunt, another Aunt and a lovely older female friend, amazing women who had “mothered” me and some still do.  Which in turn created a totally different experience!

This also got me to pondering the Roe vs Wade issue that is happening in the US at the moment. (Ready for a soapbox moment?)

To be honest, I had never wanted children when I was younger.  I wasn’t one of those young women who said “I want to get married, have kids etc.”  Hell no!  

So to ensure that didn’t happen I took every form of birth control known to humankind, in fact at one point they took the pill I was taking off the market due to heart issues.  Condoms, spermicide, diaphragms, IUD’s, the pill – you name it, I took them. 

As a woman, and a mother of 5 I have been pregnant 10 times. 

I chose to terminate two pregnancies, with great conscious awareness and gratitude that this was available to me, though I will be honest – the first termination I was 19 years old and the doctor made it a living hell for me and lectured me from a place of judgement, patriarchy and disgust.   I have miscarried 3 times.  And I am also blessed with 5 amazing children, who I have learned a lot from, and they have helped me grow up.  

But to be told that I could have no control over my body, my own choices, that I had to bear a child?  I’m sorry, that is fucked in my books (and if that offends you let’s appreciate to differ shall we?)

Okay, I will step off my soapbox now, but whichever side you land on this argument.  Please ponder it.  Ponder it deeply. We all should have choice. We all should have a voice.

This coming weekend ( in fact on May 15th), we will have another eclipse.  

This is a Blood Moon Eclipse in Scorpio – so what does that mean?

Eclipses are harbingers of change — they usher in evolution. At a lunar eclipse, the shadow of the Earth falls across the face of the Moon bringing unconscious feelings to the surface, grounding them in reality. Lunar eclipses are culminations of emotional cycles that have run their course, and they encourage us to let go of emotions and attachments that are no longer serving us.

All Eclipses activate our soul contract, bringing forward events that are necessary for the growth and evolution of our soul. Even though Eclipses can bring challenges our way, they always put us where we need to be.

As Forever shares:

“Under the May 2022, Blood Moon Eclipse, we are being guided to close the door on a chapter in our lives. This Eclipse represents endings, closure, and completion. Something needs to end, and this Eclipse is going to be the trigger.

As this Eclipse falls in the transformative sign of Scorpio, we may also find ourselves retreating within to shed layers and move into a deeper and more authentic state of being.

Scorpio is represented by the scorpion for its ability to transform itself and shed its skin. But Scorpio energy is also connected to the Phoenix too. The Phoenix has the ability, the strength, and the power to birth itself from ashes. From the ashes it rises into its true and highest form.”

Eclipses are brilliant illuminators, revealing a truth about a condition that you never in a million years knew existed. Once you are given the information, the news can act as a catalyst to a major decision or action you will take. Most often we are shocked or surprised by the information that comes to us, for the eclipse is one of the most dramatic tools the universe uses to get you to sit up, pay attention, and take action. Eclipses are always your friends, for they are there to help to protect you. 

Always be grateful for the truth.

Hmmmm, I don’t know about you but I feel that as a collective we need to shed quite a few things.  Don’t you?

Okay, enough chuntering on, let’s crack on with the reading.  The cards that were most adamant to come and guide this week are The Oracle of Shadows and Light.  Now if these guides are new to you, let me introduce them (as that’s the polite thing to do), Wisdom for Misfits, Mystics, Seekers, and Wanderers.  Bittersweet.  Unheard.  Unconventional. Rebellious. Cheeky…Whimsical…Invisible.  They’re not the words you often hear associated with the spiritual world, are they?  Nevertheless, some of the most spiritual beings who have ever lived are those who have been most at odds with what we call the mainstream.  They do not fit in.  They have had moments of despair.  And they know being truthful, and being real, is one of the greatest strengths and spiritual paths of all!  They ask you to step out from the shadows, to no longer hide your light away, and to consult with an oracle that acknowledges your individuality and strange genius!  How’s that for a warm welcome?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come to the forefront are Smoky Quartz – this is an amazing stone for grounding, leaving behind baggage and surrendering.  Stone Canyon Jasper – is known as the ‘supreme nurturer’. It bestows a feeling of tranquillity and integrity, by providing warmth, nourishment, and protection.  Amethyst –  aids in healing and intense spiritual growth.  

The flowers are lovely Bachelor Buttons and Poppy petals.

Let’s settle, yes?  Just breathe nice and slow, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  Allow your shoulders to gently drop and nestle along your spine, like gorgeous wings at rest.  Breathe into the corners of your belly and down to your toes.  Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you, inviting you to “see” them.

TWO KITTENS

This magickal being is holding tight to two beautiful cats; both of them offer her growth in her femininity, independence, and satisfaction on many levels.  Both of them are very young, very tender.  She feels nurturing and protective toward them both.  “How can I put one down?” she asks, torn.  She is being asked to choose between the two, to separate one thing from another, and she is shocked that she must make this choice.  When this comes to you, tune in.  Ask yourself, your body, what it wants to do.  Make a decision.  You can no longer go on at this point attempting to walk in two directions at once.  And that which you most fear – causing pain – will not happen when you choose.  Cats are about your independence,  your ability to leap high and to make it through many tricky situations.  Choose.  Choose now.  

So are you having trouble making an important decision?  You can’t see which one to choose?  Which way to go?  Both seem equally good or equally flawed?  Hmmmm.  We have come to show you the difference between two choices.  You know you can take only one road at this time, and you know you must trust that that which you leave behind – that which you are telling yourself you are abandoning – will be safe and cared for.  You will make it through this choice without feeling agonies of guilt.  You will.  The Universe trusts you to make the right choice!  Feel it – you can now choose between seemingly indivisible ways.  There will be a solution to this impossible situation.  

For now, put one thing down and choose the other, or no real growth can take place.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

You are changing the way you view yourself and speaking up and out.  Others see you as an advocate for justice and fair play.  You defend others by being who you are, simply by refusing to hide away or be fearful.  By waking up every day, despite hardships, you are showing so many the way to live.  You have made friends with your strength, and while people have mistaken you for a pushover, you  know when the time comes that you are a strong person who cannot be stopped.

Like a wolf, you have fur and claws, and brothers and sisters who will help you if you only so much as call on their energy.  But to find them, you must connect with the wolf within.  It is time to travel on a new path, crossing a wood that seems empty and cold, but you will not be alone or as helpless as others seem to think you will be.  You are not prey.  You will have strong and unconventional allies.  Like a wolf, you must be prepared to defend yourself, even if it means facing a fight.  There is time to stand your ground and face the enemy.  That time has come, brave one.  

As little Red Riding Hood says – once I was hunted.  I do no not hunt in return, but watch.  And I am strong.  I am myself, and I am proud of who I am.  No one can harm me now that I have this knowledge, and with  my mystic familiar – my lone wolf – by my side, I continue to walk my path.  While I have lost some of my innocence, I have my life, my strength, my voice, my ability to stay myself no matter what others do or sy.  I will no be a victim.  I am not a victim.  I am alive.  And I will never give up.

THE FAERY BEE

A bee appearing in the beautiful natural world is a wonderful sign that true health is being restored to you.  Bees speak of timeless wisdom – as in the ancient proverb “Ask the wild bee what the Druids know” – and are adept at creating shapes, patterns and, of course, honey, which provides food, sweetness, a natural antiseptic, and air-ionizing healthful wax, and can be made into med.  It is also said that after completing the ritual of the labyrinth in ancient Crete, the priestesses of Ariadne offered the initiates honeycomb to celebrate and acknowledge that all their needs would be met from that time forth.   Bee can symbolise abundance, but, most importantly, it symbolises that all you need is being provided – and love is sure to come.

You ask me where the honey is, where the sweetness of life, the ease of life is?  You wonder where the casual health and robust days have gone, and where the bright flowers and the sunshine have vanished to?  No one took these things from you.  You denied yourself your own needs and pleasures.  I am here at all times, yet you have turned away from the natural world.  For you to bring back its sweetness, you must spend time with flowers, ones that blossom generously – flowers of the plant kingdom and flowers of the human kind.

You have spent too much time among the bare-branched ones, who have told  you that you will never acquire the luxury of feeling safe and comforted, but I am here to share that living life sweetly is as simple for you now as being outside in the sunshine for a few moments every day.  The flowers will bloom; the bees will come back; your joy and delight will return.

Don’t Run The World Through Your Body!

Happy Miraculous, Magical, Mellow, Moody, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday!

Hello delicious lovely, how are you?  How are you feeling?  April is here and there are many invitations and lessons for us this month, as well as a healing circle.  So grab a cuppa, snuggle up and let’s go chat shall we?

One of the themes that I have been hearing from a lot of you is overwhelm, the desire to hide, and that everything feels rather heavy and flat.  All of which I can totally understand and appreciate.  As let’s be honest, we live in “interesting” times (which is a curse by the way) and there is no roadmap, no manual and in many places – no guidance.

However, I will say to you – that if you are here at this moment in time, you are meant to be here.  You are needed.  

That being said, it doesn’t make it easier, as being a spiritual being having a human experience can be rather challenging!  And with overwhelm can come the sense of disconnect, fragility, fight/flight or freeze.  

The key thing to remember is that YOU DON’T HAVE TO RUN THE WORLD THROUGH YOUR SYSTEM!

“It’s not helpful to run the energy of the world through your system.  It’s not helpful to attempt to carry the weight of the world on your back alone.  It’s not helpful to let the problems of the world overwhelm you.” ~ Rebecca Campbell

Action isn’t possible from a place of overwhelm.  

But how to deal with those feelings of overwhelm?

Start where you are.  Carry what’s in front of you.  Be responsible for what’s yours.  Do what you can.  Stay grounded.  Transmute what you can.  

Great Jenny, but how??????

Feel your feelings, so if you are angry look at what is triggering you.  Sit with it, feel it and acknowledge, “Okay, what am I feeling? What is moving through me?” So first of all, feel your feelings and give yourself space to feel your feelings.  

Then move and transmute them.  This can be dancing, putting on a song that you really like and letting your body move with the feelings inside you. It can be going for a walk, getting out in nature, doing some exercise, creating something.  Do what fits you and that allows the feelings and energy to move through you and out.

Then ground yourself.  Take time to bring all the parts of you back to yourself, see yourself anchored to the earth with a strong cord or golden light and a cord coming from your crown up to the Universe.   Reclaim yourself, reclaim your power.

Then from that place of groundedness (yes that is a word), take grounded action.  What actions can you take (and they don’t have to be huge) to make yourself feel better?  To help and support those that you want to? 

Small daily grounded action transmutes the energy of overwhelm into an energy that serves and nourishes you.  And remember that maybe your grounded action is to Rest.

Interestingly enough, this ties in with the Shamanic energy theme of April which is “ALL ABOUT POWER”.  I will let the amazing Lena share her words of wisdom.  

“The very recent new moon in Aries has set up a field that is a marker for the field day we have been experiencing around power issues both individually and on a global scale.

If you have been recently triggered by something that caused either a reaction or a memory of feeling powerless, you have a great opportunity to heal, forgive and reset in a way that connects you back to your true source of power so that it becomes available to you in its fullest form.

In other words, it is time to do the personal work that is necessary to move beyond the limitation you impose on yourself by remaining in reaction instead of moving to pro-action…….

The key is to access the power within you and not to look for it on the outside. You will only be disappointed with the illusion in the end. If you don’t do the work now, it will be that much harder later when the energy is less supportive of it. We have a tremendous opportunity to move through this and access the amazing landscape of love. Beauty and manifestation on the other side.”

Wow!  If you were waiting for acknowledgement – this is it.  If you were waiting for a sign – this is it!

Many of you over the last month have asked if I would hold a “Healing Circle”, healing for self, family, community and globally.  I sat with it and waited until my guides gave their full input (which they have), and the answer is now – YES!

They have downloaded a beautiful guided visualisation that I will record and which will be available next week by donation, with those funds going to support the people in the Ukraine. 

Then, on April 16th, Full Moon, at 7am PST , I ask that you stop doing what you are doing, find a quiet space, and listen to the visualisation.  You can sit in the woods, your bathtub, on a bench, in your bed – wherever is comfy for you.  But if thousands of us connect all at the same time, we can weave such a beautiful web of healing and love that will nourish all and harness the power of the collective for positive change.

Okay, I have chuntered on long enough.  Let’s crack on with the reading.  

When I asked the cards who wanted to talk and guide this week I was delighted to see that it was the delicious Spirit of the Animals.  So in case you may have never met them, let me introduce you.  “Animal Medicine, Animal Totems, and Animal Mascots have had cultural significance throughout our history.  Europeans adopted animals as tribal symbols that were later incorporated into crests for nations.  China has an animal associated with every birthday.  The Romans celebrated the eagle as the symbol for the empire.  Our ancestors observed the appearance of animals as omens and signs.  Shamans and mystics rely on spirit animal helpers.  Native Americans have vision quests to discover their personal animal totem.  School sports teams choose animal mascots.  It is no wonder that the interest in animals as emblems and how they relate to us still persists.  Animals as symbols live in our deepest memory.”

Okay delicious lovely, take a gorgeous deep breath and allow your shoulders to drop and your jaw to gently relax.  I invite you to see in your mind’s eye a place of stillness, a place filled with ease and flow, a place where you feel connected to earth and source.  From the place pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

PENGUIN – AUTHENTIC

Penguin is the bird that cannot fly but instead swims.  They can see better underwater than on land, symbolising better access to the subconscious mind than usual.  

Penguins are full of surprises just like the people they represent.  The males and females experience role reversals.  Male penguins will sit on the eggs for months while their female counterparts hunt for food.  

Penguin urges you to adapt to extreme circumstances, break free from expectations and reinvent yourself.  Penguin says adapt, change, find your tribe, sing and celebrate your uniqueness.

Penguin people often feel awkward or out of place.  Tapping into Penguin energy can help you embrace your differences.  Self – acceptance is a big part of Penguin medicine.  They remind us that there is no right way to be!

Like all diving birds, Penguin relates to the truth that lies below the surface.  Maybe Penguin is telling you to go below, find your deeper truth and your most authentic self.  

These are things in life that really matter.  Finding like minded people (your tribe) will help you see your beauty as you see theirs.  

The wisdom of Penguin asks you to just be the unique and colourful person that you are!

Love your uniqueness.  Just be Yourself!

RAVEN – SHAMAN

RAM – PERSEVERANCE

The majestic bighorn sheep, or ram, is a master of agility and bravery.  They navigate rugged terrain at incredible speeds and land with confidence on the narrowest ledge.  

They have sharp vision and an acute sense of smell.  All of these traits help the bighorn sheep survive.  The male ram has a unique set of horns that spiral out from their head.  They never drop and they grow throughout the bighorn’s life, symbolising his fine mind.  It is a gift Ram people share with their totem.  Horns are an extension of the skull and have been called a natural antenna for intuition.  The ram is a competitive lover.  Be on guard for aggressive tendencies in your love life.  Jealousy should most certainly be avoided.

If Ram has chosen you, you have success on your side.  RAm urges you to use your fine mind to your advantage.  You will persevere and go to great heights to succeed.  Your reserves of strength and courage combined with your intuition will help you navigate the toughest circumstances.

Spring Equinox and the Worm Full Moon invite in Balance and Ritual!

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magickal. Merry, Musical, Moony, March Monday!  

There is so much to natter about this week it’s fabulous!  We have the glorious Spring Equinox (Ostara) coming up on the 20th/21st, as well as the Worm Full Moon on the 18th and how Ritual provides a delicious space amidst shifting energies.

Many of you have been reaching out asking if you can still take advantage of the Spring Equinox reading special and if it is still available.  You bet!  Until Monday March 21st at midnight you can take advantage of two new readings to help you set your seeds of intention for Spring.  And yes (to all the questions), the Ostara Magickal Guide, filled with lore, card reading spread, rituals, spellwork and yumminess will be available until that time as well.  Phew! 

Okay seriously, I have to ask,  who doesn’t want to celebrate Spring?  

As a kid Spring time was filled with woodland flowers and baby lambs popping out everywhere and bouncing like mad fiends over the grass.  Thus, I think that really nailed down the fact that I love Spring Equinox!  

When I did this reading, there were glorious birds in my bird feeder, Fat robins hopping all over looking for luscious worms, and crows doing very vigorous mating dances!  I took a wee wander around the newly dug garden and saw that the broad bean shoots were pushing up as well as the sweet peas!   Everything is starting to reach, expand and grow!  

After a wet, gray winter, the idea, the knowing and the full Trust that Spring is going to come is amazing.  To me it is about NEW.  New plants, new ideas, new ways of moving in the world and releasing the blaugh.  This is the best time of the year to start new projects, focus your goals for the year, and plant the seeds for what you want to achieve.  Don’t expect rapid movement, though, since things have to get going at their own pace (which could be fast, since many plants in spring seem to just appear from nowhere, but could also be slow, like a tulip poking its head gradually from the ground.)

Spring Equinox (also known as Ostara), after the goddess Eostre, is a fertility holiday, which celebrates the resurgence of life with such symbols as rabbits, cute little chicks and lambs (seeing any similarity to Easter symbols?) 

This is a time when the goddess is the Maiden in all her youthful glory, the god is reaching manhood, and energy abounds.  So why not tap into that energy to bring the light into your own darkness, if  you have any?  For example spring cleaning is not just about your home, it’s about removing old or negative energies accumulated over the dark winter months to prepare you for glorious growth.  It’s about planting seeds of intention, seeds of growth, seeds of food – it’s about shedding that heavy winter coat and picking up something a tad lighter and a bit more fun.  

Equinox is about looking at the Balance in your life. 

Where are you over giving?  What is out of alignment?  In The Creatrix Circle this weekend we had our Equinox Gathering and it was magnificent!  And there was a beautiful exercise of looking at what you receive with your left hand and what you give with your right – and are they in Balance.  Are you in Balance?

This energy also ties into the gorgeous Full Moon in Virgo that happens on Friday, March 18th, aka The Worm Moon.  

Why the Worm Moon?  It’s called this because the earth is thawing and robins are greedily pulling up lovely fat earthworms and gobbling them down!  (Now if that doesn’t conjure up the image of Spring for you, lol!)

March’s Moon cycle is considered the final Moon of Winter. The Spring season is upon us and with it, new life and excitement. 

The Worm Moon spiritual meaning reflects the fresh starts taking place everywhere you look!

Tiny buds are pushing their way up through the earth, filling your heart and soul with pure joy. Birds, squirrels, and other critters scurry about and you wonder if they feel the same hope and anticipation you do.

Whether physically or metaphorically, it’s time to plant seeds that we can harvest and reap the rewards of later this year. What hard work and energy can you do now to help out your future self? This is the time to get deeply detailed on what your goals are, and harness focused energy towards your specific goal.

As the days continue to grow longer and brighter, earthworms begin to make an appearance as the soil warms and softens. Birds, enthralled with new feeding opportunities, descend upon them. More evidence that Spring is close at hand. During these spirited days in March, we celebrate the Full Worm Moon.

These small signs indicate the dark cold days are ending and a new season is now beginning. Earth is awakening from its deep Winter rest.

March’s Full Worm Moon spiritual meaning is full of optimism, hope, and new beginnings.

Thus both Spring Equinox and The Worm Moon are glorious times to set strong intentions and anchor them in with ritual.  

I often get asked how to “do” rituals and why they are important.  

To me a ritual is an intention made manifest, it’s that place of connection with the Divine, Universe, God/Goddess or however you chose to name it.  In other words, a ritual takes an idea, thought or emotion and gives it a physical form in the world.  

It’s important as the teutonic plates of our life shift, to take the time to mark that point. That point of change, that point of pause, that point of celebration or grief.

So for example when I invite or suggest that perhaps at certain times there are things that you might want to write down, release and burn – guess what?  That’s a ritual.  When you sit down at New Moon and write your wishes/intentions out, guess what?  That’s a ritual. 

All it took was a brief moment of time, paper, pen and something to light either a candle or the paper with.  When you consciously put your crystals into the moonlight, on fresh dirt or in a bowl of salt water and whisper a blessing over them – that’s a ritual.  

When you gather various herbs together, cast a circle of salt, call in the directions, offer up a spell or prayer – that is ritual.  Are you with me?

To me ritual allows your body, your cells, your essence to understand your intention.  Does that make sense?  

Remember energy follows intention and where your energy flows, results show.

 Can you feel it?  Can you feel the energy beginning to surge and inviting you to move forward (or I like to think of it as Springing forward)!

When I went to the cards and asked who felt impelled to guide this week and help us with the gorgeous Spring Equinox and Full Moon energy I was surprised to see the Oracle of the Shapeshifters.  

For a brief moment I was perplexed as to why they were adamant to come and guide and then I remembered and nearly laughed my soxs off!  If these glorious guides are new to you, let me please introduce them (as that is the polite thing to do)!  “These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you.  Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone.  We change and we change again.  We fear change.  Yet it comes.  For us to fear change is as foolish as winter crying for the coming of spring.  Change is.  Fear corrupts.  These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear.  True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract.  You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable:  You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit.  But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said  yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you.  You are never alone with these beings.” Phew!  So there we have it, are you ready?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come and play are Apatite, Angelite and Chrysocolla.  And of course with Equinox just days away the lovely Spring flowers wanted to participate, so we have  a cheerful pansy, a dashing daff and a gentle grape hyacinth!  (Who could ask for anything more).

Ready?  I invite you to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few deep, long breaths.  As you breathe, see in your mind’s eye gorgeous roots pushing down into the earth as it warms, connecting, grounding and supporting.  Breathe this way for however long you have and when your shoulders have relaxed away from  your ears and your jaw is loose, pick the card or cards that resonate for you at this time.

A LOYAL GUARDIAN

This sweet faery being holds within her arms a fierce, loyal, and very strong Rottweiler who will keep all predators and bullies at bay.  He is unwaveringly devoted to protecting his faery friend – and to protecting you.  The Loyal Guardian is so powerful that he is unable to be hurt, and he will stand guard and watch, growl at, fight, and even kill any who attempt to harm you at this stage.  There is fierce, protective magick surrounding you or another one with you who is fragile.

Think of yourself as a newborn:  Babies are at their most vulnerable after transitioning from the sea of the womb to the world of breath and air.  You are making a huge change, and this makes you vulnerable. When you are rebirthing, changing your life, you need mentors and strong, calm guardians to assist you in moving into a world that seems full of danger.  With my steadfast, calm, confidence, you will be safe.  You can face the changes and the threats without becoming overwhelmed or rushing back to the familiar, less sensitive state because it seems safe.  

You will have with you energetically at this time a very protective guardian.  There may be some new people or situations in your life that make you feel threatened, uncertain, and uncomfortable.  This wariness has been noted, and this shapeshifter in the form of a large, devoted, and very powerful companion will be at your side, sniffing out danger, sounding an alarm at any threat, even readying to fight for you, should it come to that.  If there has been bullying or behaviour that has intimidated you, you have someone on your side who will not let you down and who will not let you face this alone.

DEEP DARK SEA MERMAID

This mysterious magickal companion will help you to find out what lies beneath the stories and beliefs you hold.  She will show you the Universal laws that are being played out and the truths of situations that may have been hidden by the detail that can sometimes cloud our wisdom.  She also will indicate some new and interesting ways of producing energy, growing food, receiving energy and nutrition and renewing yourself.  She will take you deep and show you dark jewels of the self, help you to take certain things seriously and fearlessly, and show you that the monsters you feared can be rendered harmless.  

There are alternative energy sources.  There are solutions to your every dilemma.  There is a truth beneath so much of the mystery.  There is so much undiscovered in the world, in the great beneath.  Just as the world has so many creatures and beings that walk among you undiscovered, you, too, have deep, hidden potentials.  I am here to show you that there are places you must go that you have feared exploring – that you must go deeper, dig down, down into your own self, and explore alternatives in the world.  

New discoveries about your own capabilities are happening now.  The energy you send and receive becomes known to you; you see the relationship between what you feel, send, and create in your own life.  It all becomes; where once it was frightening, now you can see the beauty of this responsibility.  A radical truth.  You are responsible.  It’s time to play with the wise wizards like Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein and know that you are fully supported, growing, expanding as you explore and create a new way of being for yourself.  

THE DELICATE FAERY AND HER FERRETS

Sometimes the transition between one cycle or stage and another is easy, fluid, flowing, and smooth.  At other times it is rough, harsh, cruel, and painful.  It is inevitable that, if we are truly alive, we will experience discomfort and challenges when confronted by the unfamiliar.  This is no curse – it is evidence of wisdom being taught to us.  

We change.  We alter ourselves.  We adapt.  We choose.  We become.  You are now being shown a way and the gifted magickal tools to strengthen yourself while you develop your skills.  You are also being sent a trusted companion to guide you through the deep forests of change.  You feel very vulnerable, and there is fear in your heart.  But why would there not be?  Life is full of transitions, shifts, and epic moments when we can choose between our best self and the tired, conditioned, most often deflated self.  In these time of change, there is no map, no guidebook, no previous knowledge to comfortably fall back on.  

One cycle has ended.  When a cycle changes or when we choose to create change courageously be challenging our limited self-beliefs, questioning our attachments to “truths”, or releasing our attachment to the way in which our lives “should” manifest, we are, either by choice or by contract, undergoing an initiation.  A new friend, advisor, or piece of information will empower you.  You must now shift the focus from what you fear to what you wish to become and face what it is that is frightening you needlessly.

It will not kill you.  It might hurt a bit, but results will make it worth it!

Happy Magickal, Magnetic, Mesmerising, Marvellous, Moodling, Mild, March Monday!

Here we are on the first Monday of March, Spring is frigging coming!  I don’t know about you but I can most certainly feel it in the air, energetically in my body and most certainly in my mind.  In fact this last weekend I spent time playing outdoors, cutting out faery doors and listening to the birds that woke me early in the morning.

Spring Equinox is a joyful celebration centred around rebirth and growth.  Spring represents a new day; it’s dawn in the wheel of the year. A new sun is rising. Life is waking up in the warm sunlight & your spirit feels ready to make a fresh start.  It’s a gorgeous invitation to take off the heavy coat of winter, to gently step out of the cocoon or cave and plant the seeds you want to harvest.  (And to help you with that I have two lovely gifts for you!)  The first is the Ostara Magickal Guide and the other is a glorious Spring Equinox Reading special, but read on.  

With the Spring Equinox your spirit is waking up with new ideas & new dreams for your life.

It’s fresh, warm energy has the power to make you feel alive & inspired.  It’s time to think of the seeds you want to plant from your winter slumber and harvest this year.  The end of winter can sometimes feel a little rocky. So with the energy of Spring approaching and Opportunities abounding, remember – some days you are going to be so inspired and filled with so much vim and vigour that you want to go conquer the world, other days you may feel like you want to hide out in a dark closet with a large bottle of wine and a straw!  

The most important thing is to just let it flow and stay focused on your Seeds of Intention, okay?

Nothing is impossible

Nothing is impossible.  Nothing.  Those who tell you now that what you wish for, that what you year for, that the road you take is too hard, too difficult, too challenging…that it is not for you, for yours is not of the adventure of the dream, yours is of compromise and slow heartbreak…I am here to tell you they are wrong.

People may be speaking to you from their fear; they tell you that what you wish for and hope for cannot be…and it’s not about the mundane, it is about precious jewels of hope that form our existence and our identity.  The question truly is:who do you wish to be?  An amalgamation of the fear and conditionings of others?  Or do you wish to bravely be yourself and risk the falls that  may come?  Because The Lady of the Blue Rose tells you that falls will come, as will resistance, but she also tells you that breaking through to the other reality is your role this lifetime: to carve out a path for yourself and to light the way for others travellers.  You are  unlimited – do not allow fear to bind you and burden you.  You are free, and as such, the impossible is simply an act of magickal will and self-determination.  

Summon your inner courage, and cast away the thought that courage is muscled and wears armour and a shield.  Courage can be gentle and delicate too:  it simply needs to stay true to who it is and what it does. Take steps to separate advice that come from experience (wisdom) and advice that come from fear (conditioning).  

Understand that you are the being who must make the decision about your path: no matter how caught up and bound you feel you are, there is always a way to be truly free.  And that is by expressing the essence of you, and being true to your own heart and talents and powers.  Stay strong, stay true, and do not waver.

A knock on the door

I know you wish to reach out, and yet you hold back.  I know you feel drawn to knock on this door and to see whether it will be answered this time…and yet you fear so much.  You fear that it will not be answered…that the answer or the face that appears beyond the door will not be to your liking…that if you enter, you may never return…  I cannot put your fears to rest, for only you can do that.  But I can tell you what I see.  

I see a spirit whose flame has flickered low,, whose light is in danger of going out if it does not take the next step.  For years you have passed this door and many times you have found yourself here.  You may even have knocked at the door, only to flee, like a terrified child, before the door was opened to you.  

I say to you now: it is time.  Reach out.  Knock at the door.  And let what will be, be.  

Nervous about a new chance…feeling as though your comfort zone is far better than the unknown; longing to travel and to change, yet unwilling to do anything about it; procrastinations and old habits keeping you from reaching out and accepting what is being offered.  

You are ready…it is simply nerves that are holding you back, conditioned fears and internalised voices from the past.  Reach out…take a hold of the handle and be ready for the wonder of the unknown that lies beyond the door.  The doors of perception are about to change…forever.   

You have nothing to fear, except fear freezing your hand, again.  Knock on the door.  All is well.

THE DRAGONFAE GODDESS TIAMET

You are stronger than you think

I know who you are.  I know the good of you, the multiplicity of you, and the incredible richness of you.  I know what you have survived.  I know what great lies have been told.  I know how hard the path has been, how deep the despair, how savage the untruths.  I am here to help you restore your own sense of glory, your own truth, your own shining self.  The truth is that you are all things and all beings, you are magnificent and truthfully Heaven is your mother, the Earth is your mother, the sea is your mother and the fire of creation is yours, too.

You are all these things – star being, dragonkin, sea-creature, Earth dweller and forest child.  You are sea and salt, and wood and stone, and you are grander and more magnificent than words or thoughts can tell you of.

Tiamet’s energy can be almost overwhelming, but she is such a strong, super-protective mother being.  Yet she is here to remind us of our very nature, the roots of our existence, the atoms of our being.  It’s time to work with the knowledge of the eternal nature of the soul, be aware of your own soul’s journey through time and space, be aware that you are made up of galactic (star) material, earthly materials, of the ocean of fire.  A time when others say things about you that are not only untrue, they are inspired by their own fear.  Soon you will have recognition and a kind of rebirth, and you will realise that you are a strong warrior, a being whose spirit can never be vanquished, just as your complexity and brilliance can never be fully captured in words or images.  

Build something for you, now, and for the generations to come.  Consider the legacy you wish to leave for your descendants and for the panet, and work from this place.  Surround yourself with people who share your values and insights, and learn more about what it is that you can do to stop others being persecuted.  Know that no matter what appears to have happened and no matter how tragic or disastrous it may seem to be, you are in fact strong enough to not only cope, but to transcend this circumstance and rise again.  

You are greater than those who have hurt you and you no longer need to live with fear.  You will soon be free, washed clean and reborn to yourself.  Never underestimate your own strength.  Just quietly begin to build again.
