It’s Valentine’s, New Moon with a Partial Solar Eclipse and Chinese New Year – Whoot! What a week!

Holy hannah honey – there are so many celebrations this week, I love it!

We had a celebration this week for the youngest monster who turned 7 on Saturday. When asked what he would like for his birthday, his response was Crystals. Ummmm, what??? (Keeping in mind this little monster will line up all my crystals, talk to them, stuff them in his pockets and take them to school!) Hmmm, okay. “Yes, yes, I would like crystals and the Lego Avengers game for the PS3.” So that’s what he got! We had so much fun shopping for crystals together and it was so, so very cool to watch him touch them all, hold them in his hand and either keep it or put it down and move onto another one. By the time he was done he had quite a glorious collection. However, let’s talk about the more global celebrations that are happening this upcoming week.

First one is Valentine’s Day on Wednesday (or Single Appreciation Day). When the kids were little, little, I would make Valentines bags and stuff them with jokes, riddles and cool sweeties. For example, what did the stamp say to the envelope? “Stick with me and we will go places.” Snort, chortle, chortle. Now as they are getting bigger, we create heart shaped food and make love notes that are left randomly all over town. Public washrooms, the odd mailbox, a bus bench, a windshield – you name it, just little reminders for people to find at those odd moments and be reminded that they are loved and never alone.

Second celebration is the New Moon in Aquarius and a partial Solar Eclipse (such yummy energy happening with this one), on Thursday. Now the delightful Third one is Chinese New Year! This is the time we come out of the Fire Rooster energy and enter the Year of the Male Earth Dog. Calmer, more about community, loyalty – think about a dog, what are they like? Playful, loyal, soothing, protective, pack driven (thus community) etc. There is tons of stuff out there about how this year is going to play out so I leave you to explore that.

On Chinese New Year our family creates a feast! There are all sorts of dishes from ginger beef to gyozas, spring rolls to fried rice, chow mein to peking duck – you name it! The house is cleaned and cleared, there is a bowl of oranges on the table and everyone who comes to the glorious feast receives a small red envelope with a coin in it (a sign of good fortune). Games are played and the conversation is one of joy, ease, celebration and laughter. (In case you didn’t know, I love celebration – gathering together of wonderful people, sharing food, laughing, playing games, being grateful and just appreciating life to the fullest at that nano second in time).

Thus, if you were to pick one celebration this week, which would it be and how would you celebrate it?

Interesting to see that the deck that was a tad rude on their insistence of being front and centre is The Wild Kuan Yin Oracle. I love this deck and I’m not surprised at all that they insisted on coming out to play. The crystals that were very clear it was their time to shine are:- Moonstone (Since earliest times, Moonstone has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon – an amulet of protection for travelers, a gift of lovers for passion, a channel for prophecy, and a path to wisdom. Our ties to the moon are strong.), Morganite (Carries a very powerful vibration of Divine Love, providing one with compassion and unconditional acceptance of one’s self) and last but not least Black Moonstone (A powerful connection to the Divine Feminine, lined to the Black Madonna, or the Magdalene, helpful to the over sensitive by filtering energetic information from other people). Wow! Perfect crystals for this time of year!

So let’s take a moment. Get still and breathe out, a big exhale out your mouth and feel the air leave your lungs. Then breathe in through your nose nice and deep and feel all the corners of your lungs and belly expand and then breathe out as a delicious sigh. BE LED BY THE PATH BEFORE YOU

You may question whether you are walking your true life path, in alignment with your divine destiny. Perhaps you have a choice to make and are uncertain s to which decision will be the right one for you. Perhaps you are wishing there were more choices available to you, that there only seems to be one path before you now and yet you are not convinced that it is the right path for you. Fear not. There is no mistake here. Trust in your unfolding life journey, for the path before you is one that I have blessed. Even if you sometimes lack confidence to trust in the path that you are upon, know this – you cannot miss your true path, or your divine destiny.

You are on your path. You are right in your sense that there is a greater purpose calling you forwards. Do not fall into the trap of imagining there is some other way to get there however. You have not made some error simply because your life doesn’t necessarily look or feel the way you imagined it would at this point. This too shall change in due course as your path curves ahead. Your life situation each day is like a breadcrumb dropped by the Divine, guiding you towards your destiny. You get to choose how you respond to that breadcrumb – happily gobble it up and continue on your way, or ignore it and try to venture off elsewhere out of anxiety or doubt.

Don’t make things more complicated than they need to be. Don’t rush in out of fear or panic to try and sort out an issue. Be patient and allow it to unfold. The universe knows what you are in need of, and the Divine Mother is with you always, giving birth, through you, to the fullness of your destiny. Take pause when needs be and rest. Then take the next step. Trust.

GRANDMOTHER DRAGONFLY HOLDS THE WISDOM

Sometimes there is benefit in focusing on the new, seeking out untried paths, developing untapped resources and exploring possibilities. The intoxication of hope, inspiration and optimism combined can be hard to resist. However, if fear, boredom or lack of commitment is beneath the quest for new adventures, if we are believing that what we need or want is always just beyond, we may be dissuaded from applying ourselves to the worth tasks before us right now. If we are an imaginative and visionary type of personality, we may rebel against the mundane tasks of applying ourselves daily to bring an idea to life. However, if we were to stop and look clearly at what we already have in our lives, we could realise that there is much of value waiting to be put to use.

Do not step away from what you are cultivating, even if it seems to have lost its steam, run out of energy or be utterly dead in the water! There is something within what you have been working on that is going to yield something of great benefit. There will be much more success, prosperity, happiness and maturing of your ultimate life goals and journey in tending to what is already further along in development than in something new. Grandmother Dragonfly offers you vision that is wide and unlimited by preconceptions. You may need to look differently at what you have nurtured and how to tap into what it has become to be able to share it with others and allow its sustaining grace to nourish human life in its own way. You will help people in many and varied ways. It is all a part of your natural development and you can trust in it. There is no need for you to ever be impatient or doubting of this.

I recognise immense potential and talent within you, beyond what you can see for yourself. I know that you are willing to develop into all that you are, and so I shall become your divine mentor. Life has offered you much natural ability and talent. I will help you discover and develop it so that you can offer it back to life as a gift of gratitude.

You have been gifted with a talent, and ability. You may or may not be aware of this talent. It may be an ability to write, draw, paint, dance, or a myriad of others. Or it may be a more unusual and rare gift of being able to organise and rally people together for events with purpose and to motivate others to do their best. Or perhaps you have some other sort of talent that is hard to articulate, define or pin down, but is real nonetheless. If you have no idea what talent lies within, then this gorgeous oracle indicates a process of discovery for you as well as personal development. All you need to do is attend to your spiritual path and personal growth and all else will unfold as it needs to, whether you understand it at the time or not.

This is not a slight ability that may be fun for a while to explore, it is a genuine talent that needs to be developed for a life path to be successful. If you are feeling pressured by other commitments, even by family members or social networks, to step away from your personal work, spiritual path and commitment to your inner journey. There is work you are doing that will be of benefit to the larger human collective. That sort of contribution takes commitment and you are not selfish in honouring that commitment. No matter how ordinary you may feel at times – you are special! You are unique, you have value. Learning to live truthfully as yourself, and being that self in the world, is a way to honour the life that you have been given.

Love yourself as the Divine Mother does, with great generosity and affection. You deserve no less.

So gorgeous one, enjoy this glorious week. Celebrate whatever you want to and in a way that fits for you. Remind yourself how fantabulous you are and how so very loved you are. Imbolc – Simple Hearth Blessing and Cleansing Ritual

Ahhhh, February is here and even though you can feel Spring tickling around the back of your being, often you are looking at snow, rain or something that doesn’t invoke the feeling of creation and expansion. (That’s when I plant a Hyacinth bulb or bring some Forsythia inside to bloom earlier than normal, or just grab a bunch of daffs from the supermarket).

In most areas of the Northern Hemisphere, the month of February can be the coldest time of the year. In fact in my little town we do have a “Coldest Night of the Year” walk to help raise funds and support for housing, homeless people and food for everyone. So February to me invites me to curl up with a good book in the safety of my home and hearth. Which brings us to Imbolc, which is the celebration of the growing light but also all things hearth and most certainly the glorious Celtic hearth and fire goddess, Brigid.

Now I know the phrase “hearth” can be confusing for some people. “But I don’t have a fireplace, I don’t have…..”. Most certainly in days of yore there was a hearth, a fire and when building a home one of the most important stones was the hearthstone, the stone in front of the fire. But we are 2018 and I don’t know that many of us have great big fireplaces and a huge hearthstone to gather around.

However, think about it – you have a gathering at your home, food, games, friends – and where do people mainly hang out? I am guessing the kitchen – yes? I have had to shoo people out of the kitchen so that I can move around quickly and efficiently so that we all get fed, but yet, they all dribble back to that place. So if you have a stove, a kitchen and prepare food for loved ones and yourself that can be considered a hearth. Maybe it is the dining room table where you all gather, share your stories of the day, that is a hearth. It could be the coffee table that you lounge around as you chat and drink tea together, or it could be your altar.

Don’t get fixated on the word “hearth”, but realise that hearth is more than a physical location it is the feeling and has its own spirit. Does that make sense?

The spirit of the hearth is more important than the physical manifestation of it. The spirit is about feeling safe, loved, nurtured and cosy and to honour the spirits of the home. For example, every night I fill my nebuliser with water and the essential oil that I want to work with, light a white candle and say a blessing over it to hearth, home, health, happiness and harmony. Very simple. (Also makes my home smell fabulous and the candle makes it feel cosy).

Another one I love is from Blake Blair and it is a quick and simple ritual honouring the spirit of home and hearth, designed to raise the vibes and fill it with the blessings of the season and create a welcoming environment for you and those you love. Because of the rite’s simplicity, it is easy to personalise and embellish.

All you need to gather is a small white candle, and a simple offering to the spirits of hearth and home that conjures a cosy feeling, such as fresh baked cookies, a mug of a favourite drink, favourite incense or in my world, essential oil. Go to the place you consider to be your hearth. Light the candle and focus on calling in the spirits of hearth and home, invite Brigid in. Ceremonially place the offering (whether it’s a mug of tea or a cookie) near the candle as a gift to the spirits. Envision the purifying and radiant light of the candle growing, filling, and permeating your entire home.

Then say:-

Spirits of hearth and home, with this light may your presence here be grown. We ask to bless and protect our/my cosy home; with this offering our gratitude be known.

Hold the vision of the growing, radiant light bestowing the requested blessings upon your household. When you feel it’s reached its peak, clap your hands together three times and conclude the simple rite. If you feel inclined after this, make a list of your goals, both expansive and mundane and pop them under the candle and everyday until Spring Equinox light that candle. (It doesn’t have to be for a long time).

May you experience all the warmth and cosiness of the hearth in this delightfully chilly time of year.

Super Moon, Full Moon, Blue Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Leo! – Get ready to release!

Hello, hello, hello! Happy, happy magnificent Monday! How have you been? How was your week? We have had gobs and gobs of snow – so much so that only the top 3 feet of my 7 foot high fence are visible! The one thing that I do love when it snows like this is the sense of cocooning and silence that the snow brings. It’s like a large white blanket that covers everything and invites you to curl up at home with a good book, cup of tea and a bowl of soup. Which is exactly what I did on the weekend as the roads were too dreadful to drive on. I’m reading a fabulous book called “The Goddess is in the Details.” All about magic, ritual and living daily in such a way that you are connected to Source and Earth. Quite yummy to say the least.

On Wednesday we get to experience a Full Moon, as this is the second one in January it is a Blue Moon (every time I hear that phrase I think of that golden oldie song and the line “Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own”) it is also a Lunar Eclipse and a blood moon. Now if you remember, eclipses are huge activators for bringing forth what was hidden, into the light. This is a reset button. As Lena from Power path advises:- “There is fire and determination in this moon. It is best to do something physically active and moving centered during this time. Use your action to represent your desires and intentions. Stay away from toxic people, arguments, heated discussions that don’t go anywhere, and your own fruitless worries and obsessions. Bring in the element of emotional healing through music and other creative expression. Express love and gratitude and make sure to do whatever it takes to keep your frequency high and to stay away from any negativity. An eclipse always opens up a more powerful portal and initiates change. Use this energy to fuel changes that you want and be ready to jump into action when they happen.”

So with all this being said it was no surprise to me that the deck Oracle of Shadows and Light were most insistent that they come out to talk. And the delicious part was the back of the cards is inviting you to put a key into the lock, so it was no surprise that my Treasure Chest wanted to be involved. Nor was it a surprise that the crystals that literally jumped into my hand are Black Snowflake Obsidian – which is calming and soothing, and also teaches you to value your mistakes as well as your success, and Moonstone – which is all about new beginnings and allowing one to realise that those new beginnings are the fruition of an end.

So let’s go see what is in play for you this week. Take a moment to just stop, stand still and be. Breathe into the corners of your belly for a moment and roll your shoulders and wiggle your jaw. Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that are calling you. If you feel like a little support and help there is an interesting visualisation that ties in with the energy of this Full Moon.

LADY WITH A BOSCH EGG

The Lady with the Bosch Egg is the one in this lifetime who has been chosen to keep safe, and sometimes keep secret, deep esoteric knowledge. Through history’s most troubled times, there have always been courageous beings ensuring that sacred knowledge was kept alive. Even though the world may burn, and disasters befall humanity, and wars take down cities, there will always be those brave souls who will take the knowledge, represented by the Bosch egg, camouflage it, and keep it safe so that at a later time, when the world is finally ready, we can all learn.

I hope you that you understand the history of the knowledge you crave, and respect and acknowledge the freedom of the times you now live in, and do the work yourself. It may be that at some time you too will find my egg and that you are the person chosen to speak of the knowledge others thought was lost. Or it may be that you too are a guardian of wisdom: if you are, know when to keep silent, know what to keep to yourself, and know that some secretes come to light at the right time. I bring you now the symbols of the alchemist, the secrets of the Gnostics, and the wisdom of the magicians and the witches and the herbalists….all saved for this time, in this strange form of egg.

It may feel to you that you are receiving wisdom from ancient sources and that some of its energy may feel unfamiliar to you, even dark. It is likely that you are receiving messages from times when people like you, misfits and mystics, were oppressed and punished for their natural gifts. Explore at this time something to do with the Renaissance, or medieval times, and understand that the knowledge was brought through to you, a very fortunate being living in very fortunate times. Learn all you can. Explore esoteric symbology, the history of magick, and spirituality.

VIOLET DUCHESS

Bored! Stifled! Ah yes, she’s trying to be “good” and “nice” and polite – but it’s not working. This lovely and very passionate aristocrat has her fairy wings tucked firmly in, not visible at all, and is sitting stiffly, listening to someone give a lecture on manners.

In your admirable quest for balance, you can actually become too neutral, pretending to be serene, acting polite, not making waves – and not speaking your truth! Now that I’ve arrived showing you exactly how you feel, it’s time to discover – or rediscover – a raw and honest emotional reaction you had to a person, or to an issue, and express it. It’s all very well being a lover of harmony and not wanting to be a “troublemaker” but being a lukewarm person in regards to situations that really matter is not going to do you any favours. Bottling up your true self leads to unhealthy relationships, aches, pains, and even illness! Go for the passionate and truthful option – and rediscover just how strongly you can feel, and how much fun you can have!

Your desire to be liked, to please to the be seen as a “lady” or a “gentleman” is cheating yourself out of something wonderful that you deserve to experience. Sometimes, there are rules that simply need to be broken. Keeping to the spirit of the law sometimes means breaking the letter of the law, that’s how things change. There is a situation at the moment that has revealed itself as unjust, unfair, and absolutely unattractive to you, but you have yet to speak up! The most inspiring thing about this situation is that you’ll discover just how safe it is to stand up for what you truly believe in. Others will be inspired, too, so while it feels like you’re taking a risk, at first, after awhile you’ll realise you’ve started your own small revolution.

LANTERN FAIRY

This sweet fairy is showing you a way through a barrier you have reached in your life. This may be in any area of your life – but it does feel that you have come up against a very solid obstacle. This gentle fairy, with her bright lantern, can take you to a place in this wall that has already come down, so you can move through this obstacle without force or fear. Your only requirement is to trust this fairy and then to take down several bricks after you have moved through so the wall between this world and the next, your love and your life, becomes slowly less and less solid. The wall is coming down: this is the fairy’s role, to help you move beyond the wall. Trust her. She will guide you.

Sometimes, people say you should be cautious about where information is coming from. And that is indeed true. I am simply holding up the lantern I carry and gently letting you see the likely outcome of the decisions you are making and offering a clear solution to the problem at hand. Something has come to an end. A true end, and you have, as they say, hit the wall. You could try digging under it, or climbing over it, or you could try taking down the wall brick by brick. But if you follow me, I can show you a place where the wall has already come down, and where you can move through this obstacle without pain. My guidance is safe, clear, and gentle. I am here to clear the way and light the path. It is up to you whether you make it harder than it needs to be.

Old patterns are being removed, little by little, but will need your trust. Old shielding against certain energies needs to be replaced and reworked, as it is no longer in line with what you wish for and in fact may be proving to be a barrier, which is keeping you isolated instead of protected. Trust where the light leads you – go where you can feel true love, kindness, and freedom. Avoid all that comes from anger, hatred, judgement, blame and ridicule.

Well that was quite delicious if I do say so myself! I love how this deck reflects shadow and brings it into the light which is perfect for the this Full Moon. What’s Your Legacy Going to BE? – Weekly Reading January 22nd

Hello gorgeous one, how has your week been? Did you carve out a little time last Tuesday to make your New Moon wishes? I hope so. We have been fluctuating between huge snowfalls to the milder temperatures and rain, to then huge snowfalls – sigh…. So things are either squishy and sloppy or icy as heck – whoo, hoo (makes every day quite unique). Also makes it tricky to dress for the day – do I need an umbrella and rain boots or a Parka and snow boots – or even possibly spiky things that go on my boots?

On the weekend I went to a memorial service for a friend and peer, he had passed at 48 years old after battling brain cancer for the last 6 months. He left behind brothers, parents, a lovely wife and 3 amazing kids. He was a kind, generous, man filled with integrity and a passion for soccer and his family – so why, why him? There is no answer to that question or one that soothes the frustration, grief and sadness. However, as I listened to all the stories that were shared at the memorial service the word Legacy kept coming up.

The stories were poignant, funny, loving and wonderful to hear but the common thread was this man lived with such purpose, connection and passion in a way that was inclusive and caring. Legacy. Helped grow and expand our soccer association so that kids of all ages and adults could play year round. Legacy. He was an amazing father to his kids. Legacy. A caring and thoughtful son and husband. Legacy. Even in his last days he was still interested in how others were and what was happening in their lives. Legacy.

So after the service I came home and sat and reflected for a while on the word Legacy. What is the legacy that I would like to leave behind? For me it isn’t about “stuff” so much as “Did I live, did I love, did I matter, did I help and did I make a difference”. So often we postpone what we want to do to another day because we don’t feel ready, or we don’t share our gifts because of fear, or we don’t grab that opportunity because of feelings of worth. If you think about that – how daft is that? Every morning that you open your eyes and can put your feet on the earth can be an amazing day, it’s all a choice, an intentional choice. It goes all the way from the smallest act to the largest display. Think of it like the pebble being dropped into a pond and the ripples that come out from it. For example, you stop and talk to the homeless chap who is bundled up in blankets in a doorway and you see him as a person and he shares with you how touched he was that you “saw” him as he had been feeling so invisible he was contemplating suicide. Your friend is sick in bed and you pop over with some nice home made soup and check in on them. You see an empty parking meter and the by-law guy approaching so you drop a quarter in it. You’re in an abusive marriage and your children continually witness you capitulating and finally you say enough is enough, pack up your stuff and take them somewhere safe, calm and kind and they get to witness you standing up for yourself and for them. I know these all may sound odd to you – but all things matter. So let me ask – how do you want to live your life and what is the Legacy you would like to leave behind? Whatever it is, start it now, do it now, be it now!

Okay, I shall get down off my soapbox now. The cards that flew out and at me this week are The Sacred Rebels Oracle which I thought highly appropriate as this oracle is dedicated to those who aren’t afraid to rattle cages, ruffle feathers and rock boats, from a place of loving service to the spiritual evolution of humanity. The crystals that wiggled and jiggled and demanded to be included are Smoky Quartz (grounding, cleansing and healing), Amethyst (protection, abundance, wisdom and healing) and Citrine (personal power, creativity and manifestation).

So take a moment and just BE, breathe and BE. Wiggle your toes and gently place your hands on your heart and breathe into this space long and deep, in through your nose and out through your mouth like a sigh. SHOCK OF THE NEW

What wild unconventional voice is calling to you? Can you hear it? It is so different so unusual, it might be hard to decipher – like hearing an unfamiliar language for the first time. It might be hard to discern with great clarity now but there is an affinity between you and this strangely beautiful newness seeking to manifest.

There is a stirring at the deepest level within you. Something new will break through and the process of this birth may be a shock to you. The shock will transform into great joy and a sense of tremendous liberation, but you must bear the strangeness first. That strangeness might be something that rattles your beliefs about yourself and your world, daring you to become more of yourself, more open to where life is leading you and more willing to be the unique sacred art being crafted by the hand of the universal creator.

Nature never shies away from strange beauty. She allows for endless diversity and her sacred works are often peculiar and stunning. You live within her field of creative grace, as a specially created work that also creates! You are being asked to surrender any fear you may have of being seen as exotic, unusual, eccentric or bizarre. You are being asked to make peace with strange beauty and to let it happen through you in creative flow. There are rumblings and stirrings of the creative life force life happening now – deep in the undercurrents of your being. So be on the lookout for the big shift of new birth, the shock of the new, the unconventional, the strangely beautiful and the disturbing liberation of that which is foreign stepping into your life.

This is life creating the stage upon which you will experience greater fulfillment. Don’t reject it, no matter how small or insignificant, or how powerful and life-changing it may seem to be. You are being asked to dispense with your reliance on the past and what have been your tools to navigate life. You have outgrown your old methods. You will have to fly by the seat of your pants, so to speak, as you experiment with new ways to be. Life will show you the way.

DEFEND TO THE END THE WORTHWHILE

Beneath the lies and illusions, pretty as they seem, you know what is worthwhile. All that is genuinely and truly essential for the heart to throb with life is worthwhile. Anything that dulls it or suffocates its vibrant aliveness, must be questioned, challenged, and more than likely cast aside, for the heart is our key to living an authentic life. What is there once that is compromised? Without its foundation of truth, we are to be forever lost in confusion, doubt and despair!

You are a sacred warrior – a defender of the heart. You have cried genuine tears of your own grief and also the grief of the world. You have felt the need to protect the presence of love, for whilst it is exceptionally powerful, it can too easily be smothered under lies and fear. The sacred warrior is vigilant that the presence of love is not chipped away by fear, criticism, doubt or untruths. Even if others find the unflinching honesty of your feelings difficult to handle, even if those feelings are expressed with gentleness and compassion, the sacred warrior honours the task of being more faithful to love, than to anything else.

The darkness will be intelligent and sneaky. It will tell you that it doesn’t matter, that this one time you can forget what you promised, that you are just one person and that you can’t make difference. That darkness will lure you into sleepy ambivalence and dull your light, if you allow it to. The sacred warrior within will fight with love and honour to be true to what has meaning, and never, ever allow it to be cast aside – even if it seems easier in the moment. You’re being asked to stay strong and stand your ground. What is happening, or soon will be happening is worthwhile. So hold tight. Ask for help to heal.

FOCUS ON THE LIGHT

A tremendous force of light is gathering around you. It is attracted to the purity of your intention to create from your heart. As your intention grows, so does the light. As the light grows, so does your intention. Magic wants to happen for you now! The synchronicity, perfect timing, opportunities and information that are needed will seem to be drawn right to your door. You may start to feel as if you cannot walk outside without stumbling into something helpful, wonderful and inspiring.

You might be startled as this interplay of light with your heart evokes many new successes and attracts an abundance of opportunities your way. You may need to adjust as the field of light grows stronger and its effect becomes more palpable. It may bring rather dramatic improvements into your world. You may be uncomfortable or feel out of your depth with these changes. This would be understandable, but it would be a shame for you to hold on to that resistance for anything more than a brief moment. Any resistance or fear will inhibit the continuing free flow of the light so that is can manifest its beauty through you, in the physical world, where it is needed.

It is best to stay focused on your heart and intentions. Just allow all else to happen of its own accord, without making it mean anything too personal. Simply let it be the workings of the great light of love, flowing through a pure heart and touching the world. Even if the light that is drawn to you and flows through you has some dazzling effects, you don’t have to get caught up in it.

Don’t be distracted by other paths around you at this time as you are too close to succeeding on the one you are on now! Diluting your energies, in the pursuit of too much will slow down your success and the world needs your light to shine sooner rather than later! In time you may diversify and explore other ways to express yourself but for now, build what you are working on and know that success is coming swiftly.

Yummers! Love how the cards in essence told a story and each card can stand alone. First it was about embracing and welcoming in the new, the “odd to you, but great for you” – then it was about the feeling state and defending it, last but not least if you are willing to do the others then you need to focus on the light and trust and be willing. It’s New Moon in Capricorn tomorrow! (I love New Moons) – Weekly Reading January 15th.

Happy Marvelous, Magical, Magnificent Monday! How are you? How has your week been? Have you decided what your Word of The Year is going to be. It has snowed, and snowed here for the last week, so my way of dealing with winter is to dose up on D3 and get outside and play – which ties in with my WOTY – Delight. So I had a glorious weekend of play, lots of skiing between the trees and alongside a river (which was deliciously magickal), sledding with the kids and hounds. Albeit I found out that my Akbash feels he needs to try and rescue me when I am whipping down a steep slope on my flying saucer by trying to grab onto me, or throw himself in front of me. It made for some interesting adventures!!

Yesterday I felt that a good cleaning of my home and an energetic cleanse had to happen. So I cranked up the music and went to work. I did the windows, had a little dance break, bopped around as I did all the laundry, then pretended to be a fairy as I dusted, vacuumed and searched out lurking dust bunnies that were trying to hide in the corners. I decided to lovingly polish all the wood furniture. As I was gently rubbing oil into my dining room table that I inherited from my parents, and it’s about 65 years old, I had a massive flashback to when I was little. Every Sunday one of my chores was to polish the same table and I loved making it gleam and I would scramble around underneath it to make sure all the legs were polished and shiny. So funny to see how that ritual has stayed with me as an adult (although I don’t tend to hide under the table anymore). When everything was all cleaned, sorted and glowing I then smudged the whole house setting new intentions for the energy of our home, trust me it makes a huge difference and with New Moon in Capricorn happening on Tuesday, it seemed like the most natural thing to do as New Moon is a glorious time to plant the seeds of something and to set intention.

At the time of this New Moon, there will be a lineup of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Pluto all in the sign of Capricorn. This rare alignment is known as a stellium. Having a line up of so many planets indicates that this New Moon is going to bring a lot of earthy Capricorn energy for all of us to play with.

This is the perfect time to take action in your life and begin making small, practical changes in order to bring more joy, abundance, love, success, and whatever other ways of being you would like to have more of in your life. While this is a great time to take action and express yourself outwards, there is also this energy pulling us to go deeper within ourselves and to really connect to that heart center.

The good thing about this Capricorn New Moon is that it has a lot of energy, which means that you can use this energy to serve you in any way that you need. Tune in to yourself and ask- “What is something I could use support with? What would I like this New Moon to bring into my life?”

Then set your intentions, plant your seeds for the future and what you want to grow and flourish in your garden and then give your wishes up to the night sky.

Thus, with all that being said let’s get on with this weeks reading. Now normally when I do these readings one deck bounces around calling loudly to be used. This week there were 3 decks and none of them were willing to back down, so for the first time this reading is done with a card from each deck. Also interesting to see was who else vied to come play and actually pushed the crystals out. Wood, A Sand Dollar and a glorious rock from a beach I found years ago. So think about it – we have 3 decks, wood, water and earth. Most interesting! (Love it when the Divine takes over).

So take a moment. Just stop and roll your shoulders up back and down and feel your shoulder blades fall down either side of your spine like glorious wings. As you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth envision a golden light coming out of the bottom of your feet and down, down, down into the earth into the warm, brilliant lava centre and as you take another breath feel the energy of earth move up that golden cord – up, up, up through your body and out through the top of your head as a silver light reaching up and connecting you to the Divine. Keep breathing in this way and allow the light from the Divine to come down, through you and into the earth, then up from the earth, through you and into the Divine. Ahhhhh, you are a glorious conduit for connection. When you are ready, gently pull the energy back into your body, give your hands and feet a little shake and pick the card or cards that are calling to you.

FAIRY OF THE DIVINE HAND

I am here to reveal to you what will tempt you. It is delightful, this thing you are being offered. And surely a little won’t hurt? I am Fairy of the Divine Hand, and I appear to you when you are blinded to what you must see. You know how it is….you start having a piece of candy, some soda, maybe a little junk food, then before long, you have more. It may be another habit, such as judging yourself or others way too harshly, thinking negatively, or giving up too early on exercise and good healthy practices, that you are indulging in. Gossip too, falls under my domain. While it can be wickedly delicious, it always leaves such a sour aftertaste.

Come and truly examine what is being offered to you. Underneath this apparently harmless fun, spending, partying, distraction, or giving up too early on exercise and good healthy practices, and temptation lie disorientation and fear, and things may appear to be quite different than how they truly are. But here……look and look closely. Do you begin to see what will take place if you continue down this path? Do you sugarcoat the possibilities of where this may end? Do not push down the feelings and warnings you have; instead come a little closer, and look.

Do you begin to understand that what seems such a small thing may indeed change lives? Take a moment. Look. Think. Connect with your deeper wisdom. Decide whether you will join in with what is tempting you, or whether you will watch a while longer and make the wise decision instead.

You know when this temptation comes that you do not need to flee, you do not need to indulge, you do not need to curse and berate this lovely, very earnest fairly with her clear message to stop, and truly look at what is taking place. You know you simply need to pause. Be quiet. Clear. And know now that one of your fiercest addictions is seeking you out, and you are wavering, caught in its delirium. This is not an opportunity to escape. This is your chance to break free!

RED COUNTESS

Deep within, you know what is true and what to do (or not do). Yet there is so much noise and distraction in the world, and even at times in our own minds, that listening for our inner wisdom can seem like trying to hear gentle birdsong in the midst of a rock concert. Even so, you are hearing an inner truth, and deep down, you know it. Can you trust that it is safe to not only hear your inner voice but act on it too?

There is something that you know. You’ve felt, sensed, heard or realised this truth more than once. Even if others see or feel differently, you just know what you know, even if you don’t quite know how you know it!

Give your truths value. Hold your feelings and insights in high enough esteem to pay attention to them, to give yourself time to process what you think, feel and sense. Know that they’re worth acting on, even if that action just means to trust more and stop worrying. If you cannot figure out what your inner truths are, or you feel confused by conflicting thoughts and feelings, torn between head and heart, then you are in a state of information overload. You need to switch off, discharge some excess mental and emotional energy and take a break. Give yourself some time out from the crazy noise and constant distractions of the world so you can get in touch with what is true for you.

THE PENDRAGON

I am He who is the hunter, the sage, the father, the provider, the protector. I am he who watches over his people and does his best for his family. I am He: your brother, your father, your husband, your son. I am sheer powerful masculine energy and I am the lover of the Goddess of the Dragonfae. Together we create wholeness, apart we wander alone and are more easily wounded, even destroyed. I have a role: to care for others, to use my physical strength and to use my attributes to fight for those I love. And I will do that. I am King and Emperor and God…and I care for you. Do not fear me: I would not hesitate to sweep you into my arms and hold you.

I love you, but know that my role here takes me away many times from all the love and playfulness that still lives inside of me. Trust in my actions. See the truth and choose a partner who is in action a strong and caring manly man. Think of some of your positive experiences with men this lifetime: from moments with your father, to times when a man has acted honourably. Now, from those examples, begin to allow more of that version of masculine energy into your life.

Gradually, let’s change your ingrained and sometimes negative beliefs about men…and when Pendragon walks in, he demands that you treat the men he sends your way with respect and honour….just as he will treat you in return. You will notice that ignoble men no longer have a place in your life and that you are no longer attracting them. Indeed, Pendragon wonders why you would waste your time with people who do not behave in a noble fashion, and he does not want you to be involved with men who behave deceitfully, who are fearful of their own power, or who take advantage of members of their own family or their partners.

Holy Hannah, the cards had a lot to say this week about where we can get lost in our addictions, that we need to get quiet and allow our inner voice to speak to us and to celebrate and welcome in healthy masculine. How did that feel for you? Even more interesting to see that the three decks worked together and that the elements that came to play totally tied into the message of the cards! Sand Dollar representing water is Spirit and that’s what the card asked you to do. Love, love, love it.
