Blessings, Sore Ass and Full Moon (no pun intended lol)

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Mesmerising, Musical, Marvelous, Manifesting Monday!

How are you?  Did you take some time to play with the wonderful energy of the Equinox?  I most certainly did and I will say I had a positively stupendous, one of a kind Equinox weekend and the shift that I feel in my body, mind and spirit are immense that I would love to share with you.    

Now don’t get me wrong, my life for the most part is really quite lovely and I feel very Blessed.  However, I will say the first part of March felt very fractious, heavy and agitated.  My ego was certainly trying to drive the bus and was having a tough time with acceptance, release and my mind was certainly not being my friend!  So it was divine to have the Equinox experience and feel it move, shift and release.  

So, Friday night I took some time to sit out in the dark and write (by candlelight) all the things that I had been fretting with, trying to control, allowing my ego to run rampant with – just poured them out on paper.  I then gave them a wee blessing and popped them in my Goddess Box and offered them up.  Then I loaded up my backpack as I knew I needed an adventure, an explore, something to sweep out the cobwebs and help me find the reset button.

Saturday I loaded up Gertie (the car) and grabbed Danu (the dog) picked up a friend and off we went to go explore something new as I was being told there was a shift in the air.  We ended up on the Juan de Fuca coastal trail, a glorious old growth trail that runs alongside the rugged west coast of the island.  And literally the minute I put my foot on the old growth trail I felt a frisson of energy rush through me and had this knowing sensation that I wouldn’t be the same when I came back out.  (That’s not as odd as it sounds).  Wending through the trees and scrambling over twisted tree roots whilst navigating huge mud puddles the wind picked up and made the tops of the trees sing and I could feel my energy rise in response.  Then the sound of the crashing waves pounding against the rugged rocks melded in and it was as if Nature was singing me the best love song ever!  

We came out onto one beach and my breath was literally taken away, the rawness, the ruggedness, the sandstone tidal pools with the crashing waves and the wind!  Oh my Goddess I was in heaven.  I felt like a wee one scrambling up and down over the rocks, gazing into the deep pools and seeing all the life that was living there.  The eagles kept coming out and flying above me calling out to each other as they surfed the wind current.  At one point as I went to jump off a large rocky outcrop I realised at the last minute that the landing was slick so I lunged further to avoid falling 8 feet and managed to pull the muscles in my left arse cheek!  Sore was the word!  But hey, you only live once, and this was an experience I was immersed in.  

We went back onto the trail to go further down the coast line and kept popping out on wild, rugged beaches to explore and each time a gorgeous eagle would appear as the wind whipped the ocean up and tugged at my hat.  I found a little nook in the rocks on one beach where we were sheltered from the wind and able to peel off some layers and have our picnic, where we were very kindly joined by two large Stellar Jays with their iridescent blue plumage and a mini murder of crows.  (Quite delightful but raucous picnic companions!)  After lunch it was time for Oomancy!  Now if you are shaking your head and saying – ummm, WTF?  Let me clarify it – divination with eggs!  Yes, I did say that outloud.  In Creatrix Circle on Friday we had our Ostara gathering and we prepared our eggs for a wonderful divination ritual, so I had hauled mine all the way out to this rugged coastline.  

I found a lovely sandstone slope and divining occurred, it was so cool to do and the absolutely perfect place.  After a full day, with an incredibly sore left butt cheek, muddy boots, wind burned cheeks and a full heart it was time to do the long drive home.  But oh my Goddess, it had been soooooo worth it.  What a glorious way to celebrate Ostara and honour the Goddess in her Maiden form and the energy of rebirth, new growth and expansion.  

By the time I got home I realised, the woods had been right.  I didn’t feel like the same person at all as the one who first stepped onto the trail early in the morning.  I felt lighter, clearer, in a state of grace and acceptance and truly, truly Blessed.  So to celebrate this sensation and the glorious Equinox I made a Black Forest Cake and ate half of it!  (I left offerings for the faeries as well). The whole day had felt incredibly magickal, cleansing and transformative and I felt very Blessed by the whole experience, even with a super sore arse and needing to sit on a hot water bottle!

Sunday morning found me out early with Danu,  in the pouring rain wandering along the beach and through the homeless campers who are in the park.  As I pushed through a copse of trees I encountered a chap who was having a super tough time and decided I should listen to him as he screamed and swore about life, the weather, me, the neighbourhood and how everything was fucked up.  I listened and when he had calmed enough to hear me he took my offer of support to help him get to the community tent so he could get some hot coffee and a dry coat.  As I walked on with Danu I offered up a blessing for him, for anyone in that dire circumstance, for those who’s only home currently is a leaky tent in a public park where they get castigated and shunned.  For those who are made to feel less than.  For those who are struggling with mental health issues and for myself that I was able to be there and listen to him, as I felt that was an honour.  

Now when I use the word Blessing, I’m not talking about the Bible interpretation.  It’s more a case of calling in grace, love, something bigger than myself to offer support, and let’s be honest – you can offer up a Blessing for anything.  It could be a person who you feel has done you wrong, you can bless those that you see struggling, you can bless a situation, you can bless a meal.  It’s the inviting in of something far, far bigger than yourself to enter the space with loving kindness.  I find it super powerful, give it a try.  What do you have to lose?

As John O’Donohue says: ” May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.”

Okay, this Sunday is the lovely Full Moon in Libra which carries beautiful, high-powered energies for healing, protection, and harmony.  A new chapter, a new zodiac wheel has started, and this Full Moon is supporting us to let go of all that we no longer need to carry and to create space for new energies to unfold.

Think about it, when we first started this zodiac cycle back in March of 2020, the world was a different place. We have all changed. We have all evolved and grown.  We have all had new experiences that have shaped and moved us, and this Full Moon is our chance to acknowledge and release all that no longer needs to be with us. The Libra energy of this Full Moon also supports us in finding a balance between the old state of what once was and the new state of what could be, and the grace and discernment that is needed to either hold on or let go.

So take some time to consider how you have changed and grown, do you appreciate the Blessings in your life enough and what areas of your life would you like to see more growth (like the Spring seedlings) in? 

When I went to the guides to ask who wanted to share this week I laughed as the wonderful Blessing Faeries were most adamant to share their Blessings with you.  These glorious ones had come on my Equinox adventure and had gifted me with a Blessing amidst the eagles, crows and jays.  

 Now if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce them.  

Faeries are present in every droplet of water, every blade of grass – they are everywhere there is a trace of nature – thus every field, flower, and forest is theirs.  They inhabit the wild rainforests and the old castles; they dance within standing stones and burial mounds; they are on the top of mountains and within the grove deep in the valley; and they appear in the cracks in the pavement and beneath the cities in the old, tangled tree roots.  Faeries are part of this world, and they were here before we were born into this world, and they know us better than we know ourselves.  For humans, many of us have lost our sense of play, our sense of relationship with nature, our courage to be ourselves – as well as our hope, creativity, and personal power.  We have looked outside of ourselves and nature and the sacred ones for answers, and in doing so, we have become quite lost.  The blessings of the faeries can bring us back into relationship with ourselves, back into relationship with the elements and the elementals, so that we can become more at home within the world, while creating a personal world which supports our dreams, our wishes, and our purpose. 

Yes!  Perfect guides for today and this time!  As always remember, when you receive a blessing you offer a blessing.  

So gorgeous one, breathe, breathe yourself here to this present moment.  This is the only moment that matters.  As your breath gently slows I invite you to ask the question – what needs to come into balance for me?  What area of my life would I like to see more growth in?  Do I acknowledge my Blessings?  No judgement, no pushing.  Just allow it to flow up with ease and gentleness and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

A BLESSING OF THE BUTTERFLY QUEEN

The Faery Gift of Graceful Change and Transfiguration

To you is granted the faery gift of transformation and change.  Your life is re-becoming, and all obstacles will be broken through, until you take flight into the life you have recreated so courageously.  The faeries are gifting you with all you need to move through a time of great expansion, change, growth, and tumult with integrity, grace, and tenacity.  Your time to be reborn is approaching, and the Butterfly Queen will be with you as you transform and reshape your life.

As you change, even as you struggle at times, you will inspire, and grow, and rework your life in magickal ways.  The ancient caretakers of the planet are the fae, and their presence will be with you as you transform.  You have beauty, and your presence will be bright and joyful, bringing so much to others, but most of all, bringing a deep contentment and fulfilment to yourself. 

Focus on all you wish to see grow and become “more” at this time – and know, with great and firm conviction, that you are blessed, and beloved, and precious, human child.

A BLESSING OF THE UNSEELIE

The Faery Gift of Following Your True Heart from The Worthy Rebels of the Unseelie Court

The gift of the Unseelie is the gift of the rebellious one, the one who defies, and who does not “go with the flow”.  In faery lore, the Unseelie are sometimes considered dangerous but their blessing is this: you are not born to appease and to concede, to give way always before forces that consume and control.  You were born to be free, to decide who you were meant to be for yourself – and the Unseelie’s gift and blessing to you is that reminder.  And this means that in this moment, there is something you must say “no” to.  Say “no” to the forces that would ask you to do something that you feel is wrong.  Say “no ” to going along, to getting along, and stand alone, if you must, in the renegade nature of the Unseelie.

It is a strange gift, a weird blessing, to be sure, but in its way, it is an energy of rebellion and courage and defiance that is not born out of any desire to be unkind.  In fact, it is born out of the desire to be kind to your truest self and to create space and room for you to breathe and be free.  With this blessing, you will say, “no”, you will take a stand, you will find a new path and be true to yourself.  And while you may be called disruptive or difficult, know that these labels are only given when you can no longer be controlled.  When the Unseelie bless you in your holy work, know that you are only being true to your own self and walking your own path.  Blessings of the Unseelie, those holy rascals, friend.  

A BLESSING ON THE HEART’S CALLING

The Faery Gift of Living from the Truest and Most Pure Call of the Heart

For faeries, what the heart wants, in its purest form, is the right thing to desire.  But for humans, we have long practice smothering the heart with the voice of reason, most often not our own voice, but the voices of others, of cultures and governments and of groups of people who fear nothing so much as hearing the heart’s deep call.  And so, with this gift of the faery comes the gift of hearing again the heart’s deep call and having the courage and commitment to follow it, no matter where it may take us. 

The heart’s deep call will never drive us to a destructive relationship or a  hurtful scenario.  It is not going to sacrifice our spirit to the making of money or the stifling of creativity.  The heart’s deep call, the true call, is beyond this, and will only take us in the direction of the dreams we are meant to fulfil this lifetime.

The faeries can now, with this gift, slowly lift the mist that covers the shining heart within you and open you up to that deep listening to your own self, and help you to value the song of the heart that has been signing to you since before you were born.  For the faeries have heard the song of your heart, and have wondered at the difference between its call and the life you have lived thus far. 

With this gift, your life will move more into accord with the heart, and you will begin to live from that deep, true place – with integrity, with fulfilment, without foolishness or following another, for your own heart will guide you and never ask you to sacrifice yourself to the creation of the dream of another. 

The faery’s gift is of the heart’s deep call to you, friend.  May its song bring you every blessing.

March, Meditation and Mundanity.

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Mellow, Momentous, Meteoric, Mirthful March Monday delicious lovely!  That’s right we are in a new month – March, the promise of Spring! 

Can you feel the energy slowly building- the energy of rebirth, release and rejuvenation?  I sure can and thankfully Mumma Nature has been showing off with swaths of snowdrops carpeting the hillsides and massive clumps of wild daffodils popping up in the most random places.  I so love their bright yellow heads that bob and dance in the breeze or the rain, they literally scream “Spring is coming”, which it is with Spring Equinox on the 20th!  Whoot! 

The birds have come flooding back and they happily empty out the bird feeder once every 3 days (greedy little buggers), and the other afternoon, as I sat out in the sun pondering the design of my Witches garden, I laughed to watch two chubby, chubby little nuthatches give themselves a thorough scrub down in the bird bath.  They were filled with pure glee and throwing water everywhere.  

I love this time of year.  There’s a glorious sense of promise, growth, celebration and I love, love, love it!  What signs of Spring are you seeing around you?

Many of you have messaged and emailed asking when the doors to Creatrix Circle are going to open again and if there is going to be an Equinox reading special.  Well, I am pleased to let you know that Creatrix Circle will be opening her doors on March 8th until March 21st (the day after equinox and the first time since December).  Thus, if you want to join a circle of like minded, amazing women, deepen into your practice and listen to the messages of your DNA that speak to you of your witch, wise woman, alchemist side – come join us!  Also, there will be an Equinox reading special from March 15th until March 21st.  I hope that answers your questions.  

So, I have a question for you – meditation – do you do it? 

We all know that meditation helps us to destress, relax and lower our blood pressure, but it also connects us to our higher self.  The wise one, the teacher and the guide that is in us.  It also connects us to the Divine on a clear channel that is not filled with static.  Yet………….. Yet many have shared with me that “they don’t have the time”, the time to go sit on the special meditation cushion, with the candle lit and quiet reigning around them.  I agree, life can be busy, but why does meditation have to happen in such a controlled environment?

With this Full Moon in Virgo that happened on Saturday, we were invited to connect to our Higher Self.  Fabulous, but if we don’t have time to manicure the details to make it pleasing for us, how does that happen?  At our Full Moon gathering in Creatrix Circle we explored that and an invitation for the next two weeks of a reframe was thrown down.

Virgo, is the sign associated with those routines that comprise most of our days— working, running errands, preparing meals—as well as the habits we form through repetition of those routines. For the most part, we regard these habits and routines as entirely separate from our spiritual lives.  But something is being lost, I think, in our determination to avoid these humble occupations; it’s often the small, ordinary tasks that offer the most accessible route from unconscious habit to mindful ritual, as well as the most frequent opportunities for attempting the journey. 

Intention, and consciousness. You can sweep the kitchen floor each evening and hardly notice doing it, beyond a vague desire to have it over with as quickly as possible. But imagine you instead give your full attention to sweeping the floor carefully and thoroughly, visualizing the debris and disorder of your mind being swept away with the bread crumbs. Feel the difference? 

Why make such a big deal out of sweeping a floor? Because we don’t live for frigging ever!  Do you really have five minutes every day—more than thirty hours each year!—to waste on meaningless, unconscious activity? Why not use those five minutes as a sort of practical prayer, to celebrate being alive?

 Ritual is not magic; it is ordinary, everyday action performed with magical intention. It is the union of practical and spiritual.  

Ritual is ordinary action carefully performed with extraordinary intention. It is how we honor the invisible with visible gestures. 

During the next two weeks between the Virgo Full Moon and the next New Moon, ferret out those circumstances that bore you, irritate you, or overwhelm you. Where in your life do you encounter drudgery, the feeling you’re “just going through the motions”? Where are you most likely to be annoyed or short tempered with others? What ordinary situations make you feel so overwhelmed, you no longer know how to untangle them? These are situations that suggest unconsciousness. They are situations which, if approached with intention rather than a sense of distasteful obligation, present the greatest avenue for your spiritual growth right now.  Willing to give it a try and turn Mundanity into a delicious conversation with the Divine?

Okay, I have chuntered on so let’s crack on with the reading.  

So interestingly enough when I went to the cards to ask who wanted to guide and teach this week, I was tickled when The Oracle of the Dragonfae were adamant.  Now if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce you:-  These guides are the magickal and mystical that weave through the threads of every day, they are the Dragonfae, Gods and Goddesses who dwelt in dimensional lands….Eden, Avalon, Ys, Atlantis and Mu, they are Morgan, Guenevere, Merlin and others – fully alive and filled with magick! They are the deliciously magickal beings that have always been there, we just forgot, and when we connect with them, we reconnect with the lost parts of ourselves, allowing us to fully explore the gift of life on this beautiful green and blue planet, known by some as Gaia, by others as Dana, and by many other names. 

We all need some wisdom and magic in our worlds on a daily basis.  

Ready?  I invite you to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few deep, long breaths.  As you breathe, see in your mind’s eye that everything you do is a living prayer.  And remember, all that you touch you change and that all that you change, Changes You!.  Breathe this way for however long you have and when your shoulders have relaxed away from  your ears and your jaw is loose pick the card or cards that resonate for you at this time.

THE LADY ALFREDA

Know you this: that whatsoever you send out, you attract back to the power of three.  Intent has energy, as do thoughts, feelings and emotions, and once released, this vibrational thought field radiates out and attracts back to you that which was sent out.  This is the Law of the Threefold return, an ancient Law that the wise ones have known of for many a year, though many of the humans have refused to listen to its wisdom.  

So, if you cry out an injustice, and if you are in pain, you must clear the reasons these manifestations of the Law were brought to you, were drawn to you, by you.  As you think, so will you live.  As you do, others will do unto you.  This is the magickal law.

Do not be afraid of this truth:  see it as a source of freedom.  There is no blame in this karmic truth, for all that you send out will return.  There is no other place for it to go.  Your own underworld initiation is ending soon, and the dark will soon come to be but a place full of rest, release, wisdom and deep, ancient knowledge.  The Law is the Law.  And the Lady’s Law is love unto all.  Follow this, and the Threefold Return will work its magicks.  

Do you not know the truth?  Your own underworld is not hell, but your dark time in the cauldron of your experience, your growth, your understanding, your knowledge.  Now you have the knowledge of the Law, will you work with it, knowing it to be truth?

It is time to get real and own what you have previously blamed on others.  This does not mean blaming yourself.  Instead work on shifting your own karmic residue (Dragonfae are wonderful at this!) and understanding the connections between what you have sent out and what you have created.  Look to your own intent.  Make friends with your shadow and thank it for the lessons.  

MELUSINE

Keys are rare in the realm of spirit; but I now provide you with a key that will open the door to who you truly are.  Your true feelings about self-worth and self-love have been hidden, locked away for years, but now they will be revealed, and healed, for all time.  For there is a part of you that you feel is not suitable to be shown to others, particularly in romantic relationships.  You feel that this part of you is unacceptable and lacking in beauty.

DREAMCATCHER

I am the Dragonfae being who comes in the night, who travels through the dimensions to the doorway of the worlds.  I will stand while you sleep and send you messages that you can unravel in your waking hours.  All that is no longer needed will come to me, if you allow it, and I will catch it in my web between my hands, lit up by the light that travels from the solar plexus of this Universe, the being you call Sun, but which I call Bel.  This Bel shines through your day and at night I reflect that light into you, cleansing what is irritating and difficult for you, but keeping all that which you need to go forward.

American Thanksgiving, Embracing All of You, Gemini Lunar Eclipse.

Happy Miraculous, Majestic, Musical, Merry, Manifesting, Magickal Monday! 

How are you delicious lovely?  We have so much to explore this week.  The energy of giving Thanks, Celebrating your whole self, Eclipse time and for those who have been asking “When are the doors going to open again for Creatrix Circle?”  Hop on over to the waiting list to be kept up to date as the doors will open for one week in December.

For all my wonderful American friends “Happy Thanksgiving!” I have to admit that I find it a tad odd to have Thanksgiving so close to Xmas, but hey I love to celebrate most everything (ask my kids).  It could be winter solstice, summer solstice, equinox, Full Moon, New Moon, Chinese New Year, Easter, Valentine’s, the sun is shining, the snow is falling – you name it!  Even simple things like the first flowers of spring, or having gorgeous flowers on my desk whilst it is grey and rainy outside.  Life is a celebration and quite frankly I chose to celebrate as much as possible.

However, I will be honest at the beginning of the week I had a real heaviness dragging me down and a sense of despondency.  It was most peculiar as I’m not normally that type of person. We have had new strictures put in place with regards to Covid and they aren’t as severe as those in other countries, but it certainly didn’t help.  So I did a glorious swan dive into the lovely lake of doubt, fear, blaugh.  It sooooo wasn’t fun (thank goodness I’m a good swimmer!)

However, with the help of two amazing women I was able to unpack it all and realised that I had abandoned a piece of myself, a piece that was uber feisty, strong and didn’t buy into the bullshit, however, a place of painful stories.  SoI sort of stuffed her into the closet and it felt hugely uncomfortable, heavy and not okay. I felt incomplete and that I wasn’t embracing my whole self.  But that’s when ritual, reframe, mindset and magick came rushing to the front and slowly I’m sewing that piece back in and it feels incredibly good.  We are all glorious composites, dark/light, strong/weak, scared/brave – no piece should be abandoned.  Being thankful for all the pieces of us makes us whole and as Brene Brown shares:

“The irony is that we attempt to disown our difficult stories to appear more whole or more acceptable, but our wholeness – even our wholeheartedness – actually depends on the integration of all our experiences, including the falls.”

Thus, I invite you (no matter where you live) to harness the energy of Thanksgiving and really give thanks for all the pieces that make up your most delicious self (yes, even the ones you judge harshly).  Give thanks for all the various people, places and things that you are thankful for – they could be present day, past day or future day.  List them all in your mind one at a time and as you bring them into your consciousness, smile and blow them a kiss (yes, seriously blow them a kiss).  See the kiss leaving your hand and turning into a gorgeous gold butterfly that flies off to that person or part of yourself and gently lands on their right cheek and brushes them softly with your blessing, thanks and appreciation.  

Okay, let’s talk about Eclipse time.  For those of you who have messaged saying you aren’t sleeping well, you feel fractious, fatigued and fed up.  I’m not surprised. We have a Full Moon eclipse on November 30th (Monday).  Eclipse time is intense all on it’s own, let alone with the whole de-constructing of an old paradigm piled on top of it.  

Now if you remember an eclipse  can generate an awareness of something larger, running the show and they poke holes in our ego/identity revealing things within us that we have been avoiding or are totally unaware of.  

An eclipse uncovers things.  Some we want to see and others we really don’t. Lunar Eclipses are like extra potent Full Moons. They illuminate areas of our lives that need to be cleared and swept away. They shine a light on all that no longer needs to be present with us.  They reveal to us where we are holding on too tightly, and where we have to surrender and let go.

Lunar Eclipses are potent because they require us to shed. This shedding can leave us feeling vulnerable, afraid, or uncertain of what is to come. But this Lunar Eclipse holds the promise of a brighter season coming.  It reminds us that whatever space is created by its presence will soon become fertile ground, ready to be adorned with new seeds when the timing comes.

Gemini is an air sign, which rules our mind. Our mind has the power to paint the picture we choose to see. Our mind has the power to take events and attach stories to them.

It is these stories that can trip us up more than the events themselves. It is the stories we tell ourselves that create a lot of stress and anguish in our lives.

With all that in mind and giving Thanks for all you are, all the people, places, situations and things that have helped make you who you are at this moment in time.  Let’s crack on with the reading.  

So my darlings with Thanksgiving approaching and Full Moon Eclipse just around the corner when I went to the cards I grinned a huge grin as the gorgeous guides of The Faery Forest Oracle were adamant to join!  I love this deck for the magickal and insightful look at what we need.  When you look at the cards, can you see the witch, the blackcat and the elven character? Now if these are new guides for you, please let me introduce them as it would be rude not to!

“Let us enter the wild green world together, friend, the faery forests where the great trees speak with us, the moss soft underfoot, the light pure and gentle.  The homes of the once Sacred groves of the Celts, the Saxons, and the Vikings…and to the people who were here long before we had names with which to call them to us – the faerie people.  May the wild green world and the wondrous beings of this Faery Forest heal us, inspire us and urge us all to become more who we truly are meant to be.”

Note the last line of the introduction – urge us all to become more who we truly are meant to be………….  Perfect guides for this time, we are in the space of late Autumn and moving into the dark,  the change in seasons, nature and the magick that is there, if  you’re willing to see it.  

Take a moment to just Breathe and give Thanks.  Give thanks for the food you have, the fact you are able to read this, your body, your essence – give thanks for the whole of it, even the squidgy places. Remember the Blow a Kiss from above.  

Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

THE SIGIL KEEPER

When the Sigil Keeper comes to you, there will be no words.  Instead, there will be shapes and signs and messages a-flowing, as tough a language of symbols is being shared with you.  When she comes, you are being encouraged to participate in this process by creating and shaping your own magickal symbols and beginning to consciously choose the symbolic language that you are creating and connecting with every single day.  

You may wish to find a symbol at this time that represents you and the part of the journey you are exploring at present.  You may wish to look around your home and see what “hidden” symbols have worked their way into your life, and you may wish to rearrange these, remove some, replace others with symbols that are consciously chosen to be of greatest magickal support to you at this time.

Look at your clothing, what you wear, and see the symbolic nature of this, and go through your jewellery and consider carefully the energy of its symbols and whether you wish to connect with this

Sigil work is simple but ever so powerful, and this amazing being is a reminder to work with intelligence, and to exercise your choice at all times.  You must choose carefully now what symbols you keep about you – for they have shaped you more than you have ever truly considered. 

THE SOLITARY

Within, within you go.  When the Solitary visits, you are about to go within, to withdraw, and retreat from the world for a time.  This can be a response to an event from outside – a trauma, sadness or betrayal – and the withdrawing inwards, which appears to be depression, is actually a way of respecting the soul’s shadow, investigating it, understanding it, and mastering it.  This card indicates a time when you will go it alone – walk your own path, choosing to carve a way forward that you can be sure remains true to the deep self.  There will be a time of learning away from the mainstream, and there may be times when you feel isolated and somewhat worried about how your new path will be perceived. 

It can also indicate that in a past life, you have suffered for your gifts and spirituality.  You may have experienced a past life as a healer, seer, witch, wyzard, or medicine man, in which a new order decreed your power to be invalid and dark.  This fear still pursues you when you connect with the power of your gift – resulting in fears surrounding intuition and your natural talents.

By going within we learn more about our soul.  It is not a part of the journey that we necessarily look forward to, but it is a time of great development on the spiritual path and is imperative to growth.  Before we can shine our light in the world, we must ignite our inner spark.  This going inward is actually the sacred task of tending your own sacred flame and learning from it, before turning to matters of the world again. 

SHE WHO LAUGHS

There is within your life now a great heaviness, an earnestness, and a sense of great gravity to nearly every situation unfolding.  Yes, this is of great importance, and yes, there are consequences to consider.  

However, She Who Laughs wishes for you to receive the healing power of luagher, the power that lifts the darkness and releases energy that is stagnant, cold, and heavy from our energy field, indeed from our limbs and cells and hearts.  For you, this laughter is as necessaary as surgery at the moment, as it will shake loose the cords strapping you tightly to burdens you no longer need to carry.

Let the light break through, and laugh – as without laughter, there can be no perspective, withought lauther, there can be no movement forward, without laughter, there can be a sense of deep abiding resentming.  Lift this!

Let She Who Laughs begin to help you seek out oments, people, and situations that stir the sense of the ridiculousness within you, and let the healing and the release of alughter roll through you and lift away the pain at teh centre of your being.  Its time is passing.  It will melt away with tears of laughter that fall and cleanse and free you from the past……

For now, the sun breaks through, and your eyes shine once again, with mirth and joy.

Thanksgiving, Libra Super New Moon and Kindness.

Happy Magickal, Marvelous, Musical, Majestical, Manifesting Monday!

How are you gorgeous one?  Here in Canada it is Thanksgiving and I will say it was quite lovely yesterday to get out prior to the intense rain and watch the sun rise and light up all the gorgeous leaf colours. As I yomped with Danu revelling in the glory that I was seeing for some reason an old hymn from childhood came burbling up.  “We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land….” and when I couldn’t remember various lines I would belt out dum, de, dum, de, dum!  (Made a few people look at me a tad askance lol).  Have to say though, Mama Nature is really quite a creative beastie to say the least.  Then the rain came sleeting in at a heavy rate and it became the perfect day to stay in doors, unpack some boxes and cook a massive Thanksgiving meal!  

Which got me to thinking about gratitude, kindness, open hands and an open heart.  Currently here the homeless populace is huge and due to Covid there are so many places that aren’t open so they are camped out in the parks.  You can watch someone come in, set up their tent, claim their space under a tree and then within a few days two or three more have joined to make a wee little supportive web to ensure safety.

Over the months I have walked through many of the parks with Danu and stopped and chatted with some of the amazing people who have been forced into this situation and shared stories, food, kind words and deep meaningful conversations.  These aren’t all addicts, drug users, ne’er do wells, they are people, a lot of regular people.  However, of late there are those (who I refer to as pinch faced, judgemental conservatives), who are ensconced in their large lavish houses and object to having to see tents when they go out for a daily perambulation.  Seriously?!

So there are petitions galore to “remove those people and send them somewhere else” and the words that flow out are ugly, mean, judgemental and unkind.  So the question that came to mind was – how do we help both groups of people.  Those who are currently in tents whilst the rain slices in from the East on 40km winds with no friggin Thanksgiving dinner to attend, nor a window to close and those who stand in judgement and toxicity?  

Our voices are certainly one way to help, but also taking the time to really see a person, talk to a person, use kind words and offer what support one can all help.  So today I am making little ham puffs and taking them out in the rain to share with anyone who wants one, with a smile, heart open and hands open.  So if you have any insights on how we can work with this paradigm shift and pandemic to create something better, stronger, more accepting and cohesive I would love to hear your suggestions.

On Friday, October 16th we have the Libra Super New Moon.  This is also the day that the glorious members of Creatrix Circle are all joining together for an opening ceremony to create sacred space and a circle of support, magick and trust.  I am piggly wiggly excited!!

As Forever shares:-  “Libra is all about balance, fairness, and justice, and these are qualities we are going to have to keep in mind under the intense energies this New Moon brings.

As this is a Super New Moon, we are going to feel the lunar energies strongly. Even though the sky will be dark on this night, we will feel the pull of the Moon, drawing us inward and into the deeper depths of our soul.

There is some dense, heated energy surrounding this Libra Super New Moon. It feels a little harsh but also oddly magical.

This New Moon may stir some troubles for us or bring some pain points to the surface of our heart. It may make us feel a little heavy or lethargic, and add to the confusion or uncertainty we may already be feeling.”

The New Moon calls for us to return to ourselves, to step out of shame and blame and to focus on giving back to ourselves. When we are “full of ourselves” then we can pour into others.

A BLESSING TO FIND THE TRUTH

A blessing to discover the truth in a situation, so you can make choices with full awareness.

A blessing on this time, and on you, so that the truth can be told, and thus pour down upon you its unique freedoms.  May you be blessed with knowing the truth of your own soul – and let the transformative powers of truth bring to you the light, so that what was once obscured now begins to shine, and what was uncertain now becomes defined, sure, glittering in its certainty.  

Let the blessings of truth be your liberty now, for with truth there is a growth of wings that lift you up and beyond the current burdens that have kept you grounded.  Let the speaking of the truth bring you comfort, let the open-hearted honesty of it cure any confusion, and let the conviction of your new knowledge bring you the rewards you are so dearly due.  Let those who know you, who hear you, be healed by the contact with the purity of your words and yourself – and let no one be in any doubt as to the worth of your words and the quality of your character.  There is no need to be anything except your own blessed, perfect, honest and open self.  Revealed to you now is the truth of others – their motives laid bare, without adornment or manipulation.

Let the lamp of truth shine into all that was dark and unknown, both within and without, and let the words you have longed to speak fall freely and without concern from your lips.  Truth shall bless you, and you shall bless others, when you show, by example, the glorious simplicity of living within the power of your own truth.  Live the truth of your soul – and may the souls that share the truth be blessed forever.

A BLESSING ON YOUR CREATIVITY

A blessing to stoke the fires of your creative soul, to bring to birth the dreams that lie in wait within you, a blessing to charge up your gifts so that they can be seen and shine within the world.

Creativity is a blessing given to us all – yours is as natural to you as your breathing.  It is said that some are more creative than others, but for you, this gift is lying in wait now, and it is for you to bring to it your deduction and attention so it can arise from its sleep and awaken into the world.  You have creative gifts – the gift of thinking in a new way, seeing things differently, telling a story through clay or wood or gems or words or paint, and in the telling of the story holding a mirror up to our existence, saying, see, this is the truth of who we are.

Creativity is the act of making something and letting it have life – to be a creator is to connect strongly with the Divine, for you bring forth into the world what was unseen until you imagined it.  It is both the harnessing of your imagination and your dedication, and with these two steeds you pull the dream from the unreal world into the natural world – and you delight us with the blessing that is your gift.  

So, if you are reading this and you have faltered on your creative journey, know that this blessing will help you set aside the chorus of doubt that sings within us all, to quieten the naysaying voice that dims your gift, and in the silence of inspiration you shall again begin to flow.

So, capture the fleeting gift when it comes, and know that when you do this, the world is made more beautiful.  Be creative, live creatively, shake off inertia and habit and make your whole life an art.  No age, no job, no relationship defines you – but it is the way in which you choose to live as art that will show us who you truly are.

A BLESSING FOR THE RIGHT WORDS

A blessing for apt speech, to call to your lips the right words that speak simply and clearly and find their mark.

May the words that fall from your lips be blessed, friend.  In times when we must speak of difficult things, it can be a great challenge to conjure up the words that best express our feelings and intent, without causing offence or harm to another.  We struggle sometimes with this balance, and in doing so, our words may be watered down, lost in the desire to appease, in the wish to do no harm.  But with this blessing, there will be words that come to find you, without effort, the words alight by the fires of inspiration, and they will flow from your mind to your mouth and be heard, fully and fairly.

May you be blessed this day with the speech of good sense, the conversation that clears and clarifies, and most of all, the words that will be heard by those who you need to understand and listen.  May you be blessed with the words that stir hearts, that make friends of minds that once were firm against yours.  May your words, like water, seep their way into the cracks of the stone and work their magick of transformation within.  

Your words are spells, and their magick can take time, but with the apt speech that you are blessed with, doors of understanding open up between you and others, and where you once fell silent, you will speak up.  Where you once faltered, and shied away from the difficult things that must be said, you will rise and flow through this challenge, and embrace the opportunity to give voice to the darkness.  Where once you let others speak, and heard only your own words in your mind, you will now hear them out in the world, and know you have used words as others use weapons – but it is not for battle, rather for courage, and understanding.  

May you find ways to cut through the falsehoods that others and their words can weave about you.  Let  your words be songs of praise as they flow from the gift of speech you have been blessed with.  May you no longer stay quiet, friend, for you have been blessed with the power of right speech, and it will serve you well each time you sing out your truth.

Surrender, Alignment and Today’s New Moon in Cancer!

Happy Miraculous, Magnificent, Magickal, Musical, Moony, Manifesting Monday!

How are you?  The weather has been stunningly gorgeous here and hot (which is not the norm), so I have been enjoying exploring the shore line and feeling the sun beaming down.  However, I will admit I have been feeling restless and out of sorts, there has been a niggling from deep inside (actually not a niggling so much as a pounding on the door!)  Funnily enough I made a commitment to myself last week to sit down and write out everything in my head that needed to get done, and another list of everything that really fulfills me.  

Guess what?  The “to do” list got done, but I still haven’t written the fulfillment list.  Why?  

Because I feel out of alignment with myself, my higher power and the Divine.  

There is a huge level of grief whirling up around me at the moment as every day this month I have reflected on what I was doing with my sister last year.  Also, the fact it is her birthday in a week (and that was the day she started withdrawing) and then died on the 30th.  Along with that, the niggle (or pounding) is reminding me that I made a soul contract with myself a few months ago and haven’t honoured it.  

So now I know I need to.  As there is something far deeper and richer that I am being called to align with, create and then share with you all; and also to give myself the compassion and space that I advise others to take to process and honour grief.  With the help of this New Moon and also stepping back from quite a few things for the next month, I will be honouring what my soul has been calling me to do for quite a while now.  

Thus, a heads up that this will be the last reading coming out on a Monday for probably the next 5 weeks.  I am still going to be doing Private Readings, and may pop in for Lammas (August 1st), with some yummy suggestions but I won’t be showing up weekly for a little bit, and I hope you understand.

Today is a glorious New Moon in Cancer and this is our second Cancer New Moon of the year. The first fell on June 21st and was a New Moon Solar Eclipse and now we have a regular New Moon on July 20th.  This second Cancer New Moon may feel like a continuation of the energy that was happening around the June 21st Eclipse. 

With the New Moon falling in the feminine and watery sign of Cancer, it asks us not to make spreadsheets and set goals, but rather to focus on aligning ourselves.  When we align with our highest truth, our highest self, and our highest power, we need not worry about what unfolds next.

When we live life from this place of surrender, rather than trying to control, we can tune in and connect with our own guiding star, with our own true north, and even when we feel lost, we can hold this sense of hope in our heart that all is well and all is as it should be.

Which interestingly enough (and of course) ties into the Shamanic energy that we talked about at the beginning of July – Revisioning, Revising, Resetting.

I appreciate that that space of surrender can feel really tricky for some as we so desperately want to control everything.  But let’s be honest – we can’t, nor should we.  This is where Trust and Faith are called in.  And when we do align with our higher self, surrender and trust – it takes us to a place of expansion. Whoot!

When I went to the cards and asked who wanted to share this week I nearly cried.  What perfect guides for this time.  Blessed Be.  Please let me introduce you to Blessed Be as these guides may be new to you.  “May these cards and guides offer you ways to enter into deeper appreciation of your life and its manifold blessings.  May you have hope, understanding and kindness.  And most of all, may you know deep within your soul, that thou art blessed.”

The crystals that insisted on being present are Morganite, Fluorite, Rhodonite and Amethyst.  And of course Selenite for amplification.

A BLESSING ON YOUR INTUITION

A blessing to create a trusting relationship with your own inner guidance.  

In this world, many will seek to guide you.  They will hold a torch aloft and show you a road that they will promise you has a destination that is heavenly, or healing, or a home for the spirit in which you will be loved, in which you will finally belong.  

May this blessing light the torch of your own inner guide, who alone knows the truth of your soul.  May you begin to sense out what is best for you – without pride, or vain public deliberating, may you just simply connect with a light within, and from that light shine out and with that light – the glowing radiance of your own intuition, the guide of your own spirit – may the road you take be softly illuminated .

May you trust when it takes place, but not force it on another.  May your own intuition grow in its light, until it glows bright when needed, and softens when you feel ready to walk steadily into the direction of your own soul.  May you trust that you are becoming who you were born to be, and never who another would make you.

May this intuition not be shaken by mistakes, or misinterpretations, but may you open up the senses you were so gifted with by the Spirit that guides us all, and may your own inner wisdom that will be expressed through that innate gift of intuition be given room to blossom.

May you be guided, but never against your own intuitive will.  And may you come to understand that the price of walking this way of truth to the self may sometimes be high, but never as high as the giving up of will and spirit and guidance to others.  Let yourself be open to the messages from within, first, and then, allow the world to speak to you, through the filter of your most pure intuitive gift.

A BLESSING TO LIFT SADNESS

A blessing to lift the sadness that cloaks you, yet retain the wisdom and lesson it has come to teach you.

Sadness is a strange friend, a gloomy mist of feelings that moves through you slowly, softly stilling the growth and dampening the fire within.  It can feel like a death, this farewell to joy, yet within its sorrow there await for you great gifts.  So, when the time comes for sadness to move on, we ask for this blessing to allow it to slowly, softly lift from you, a diver who has been down deep beneath the oceans, nd as you rise, may it be slow enough so you can adjust to the happiness that will begin to flower again in your heart.  

May your breath become deeper, your smile begin to light up your face again, may your eyes widen and sparkle with the wonder of all that is about you, and may your limbs find joy in movement once again.  May you rise, and with that rising, bring with you the teachings of the sadness you have experienced, yet be free from the heaviness that has weighed you down so far below that you seemed apart from other people.  May you re-join others, and find pleasure in company once again, and find solace in the sharing of your experiences.

May you not hate the sorrow that came to stay while, but know its presence brought you something holy – a lasting compassion for the sufferings of others, and the sure knowledge that as you once went below, you shall surely rise.  And if it comes to stay again, you will not fear its permanence, for it is temporary in its companionship, and you will again become a creature of gladness, to balance the time you have spent within the cave of sorrowful knowledge.  

Be blessed as the sadness lifts, and when the morning breaks and you feel light, and glad, and laughter bubbles up from within, remember that the wheel turns, and take the joy, and shine it out to the world.  Your candle is relit friend.  It is time to brighten all who meet you with the presence of your light.

A blessing to bring awareness, to shape and set the energy of the day, and to frame it with light and the possibilities of healing, adventure and gratitude.  

May your soul feel called by the song of the day.  May this day be gentle and good, clear and sure, filled with grace and gentle reminders of your own divinity.  May the people you meet this day show generosity of spirit, be hospitable and welcoming, and open and candid in all their dealings.

May the sky be filled with blue and white, may the green beneath your feet be solid and soft to walk upon.  May the rain fall soft and nourishing, and trees whisper to you the secrets that you need to know.

May any challenges you encounter find an answering strength and courage within you, and when you come to your rest this night, may you remember the many blessings this day held, and account for them with the Gods, and be thankful for each of them, no matter how small.

A BLESSING FOR PEACE OF MIND

A blessing to help soothe the mind at storm with itself, and bring about calm and peace once again.

When you awaken, and trouble is sitting there, with you, right on your shoulder, speaking to you of all you must fret and be fearful of, let this blessing come to you, and be felt truly in your mind, where the turbulence has reigned for too long now.

Let the quiet of the natural day steal in, let the soft call of your spirit whisper to you that you have worried too long, and that it is time to set down your burden and let the angels and spirit beings deal with what cannot be unravelled by the labyrinth of thought.  

Let it go, and let it be, for it is not for you to do what others will not, cannot, or remain ignorant of.  It is for you now, to care for you.  Let peace, that quiet blessing, softly take up residence in your mind, and speak calming words to you, soothing every objection your mind at war with the world creates.  

Let the nurturing of the Mother, the planet herself, who loves  you so and cares so much for you, take hold, and take root within your mind.  Let yourself do only what must be done this day, and be very kind and very gentle all this time with yourself.  

Speak softly, remove yourself from anything that provokes the disquiet unnecessarily, and calm yourself through the taking of moments to soothe yourself.  Let your mind release, one by one, those terrible thoughts that have tortured you.  Let your body relax, and move, and in the movement free yourself from the stress and tension.  Let the idea of being at war with the world, isolated and alone, go, and for a time, seek out only those who show kindness and sensitivity to you.  

Be patient with yourself, and in this patience, let the blessing of deep peace be yours.
