With Mercury Retrograde in Pisces, Grounding is Important. So let’s make a Trifle!

Happy Magnificent, Mercurial, Magickal, Manifesting Monday Delicious Lovely! Today is a delightful holiday here – Family Day – so I’ve been hanging with the mob and as the sun has been shining, gardening had to happen! Thankfully where I live the Parks department of the City creates a huge, massive pile of hot, steamy, well aged compost (soooo love the smell). So I hauled a truck full of it on the weekend, weeded, gently moved renegade blue bells to a new spot and popped all the stinkiness into the garden. Yum!!! I revel in talking to the plants, advising the weeds they need to politely depart and exploring all the little buds and strivings of green shoots that are pushing up getting ready for Spring. Makes my heart soar and I find it is a fabulous way to let visions flow.

We have lots to explore today and we are going to play with the analogy of making a Trifle (work with me here), to explain everything for this week. You ready?

Today we enter Mercury Retrograde! Whoot, whoot! (Can you say, hold onto your bloomers?) So as we know Mercury is the planet of communication, mentality, thinking patterns, rationality and reasoning, and adaptability and variability. So yes we can sometimes get a tad lost and a bit like Chicken Little running around saying “Mercury is retrograde, Mercury is retrograde! But prior to running around like Chicken Little, let’s think of Mercury Retrograde as the Jelly in the Trifle okay? Wobbly, interesting and sometimes slips off your spoon.

When Mercury enters into retrograde, it guides us to tap into the unseen, hidden realms of our mind. It helps us to tune in and listen so we can become better communicators, on all fronts. While things in our outside world may feel a little chaotic and all over the place during a Mercury Retrograde, it is our inner world that is calling to us.

This is the perfect time to really take the time to investigate some of the leftovers from the past. Now what do I mean by that? Let’s say every time you think of your sister there is a resentment about something she did or didn’t do. Therefore this resentment is taking up space in your head and heart, holding energy blocked instead of allowing it to flow. Time to let that puppy go and welcome your own energy back clear, clean and fresh. So if you experience any “tweakiness” during this retrograde take a moment to look at if it’s coming from outside of you or from inside. If it’s yours and it’s holding old energy that can be better used in the present day. Let it Go! If it’s coming from outside you (like your partner, your kid), you have no control over other people, places, situations and things. So don’t let your energy get sucked down that rabbit hole.

So then to add to it, we are in the Waning phase of the Moon. In other words, we have had a glorious Full Moon and now it’s getting smaller and smaller as the New Moon approaches. It’s a re-lease, re-flect time, a re-trograde time! (This is the custard of the Trifle).

Then if you remember, the Shamanic theme of this month is Management. This is about really managing our energy, staying out of overwhelm, managing our thoughts and letting go of those sticky pieces of the past that are taking up space. (So now we have the Lady Fingers and Fruit in the Jelly of the Trifle). Lol. Getting hungry yet?

So with all of this swirling around you, the most important thing to remember is to be Grounded. (This is the glorious Whipped Cream on the Trifle that brings it all together.)

When you are grounded, it’s as if you have put huge roots down into the Earth and are being held, supported, nourished and nurtured. So no matter what winds, or energies, or loopy things happen around you, or what someone says to you, you can bend and sway with grace and then come back to center. Aaaahhhh, it feels lovely, yet we so often forget to do it and wonder why at the end of the day we feel fragmented, foggy, overwhelmed, haven’t slept well etc.

There are so many easy, easy, techniques to ground. Drop a grounding cord (you can do this in a grocery store line up – if you don’t know how to do this email me). Cover your crown chakra for 30 secs and breath into your feet. Smudge and set an intention. Stand in tree pose and visualise your roots going down, down into the Earth (I have done this one in meetings!) Hug a tree. Stand on the earth/grass with bare feet and breathe! Follow your breath for a few minutes (fabulous to do when waiting at a red light). Rub your palms together and wiggle your toes at the same time.

The key thing is to do it every day. You can’t set a grounding cord and expect it to stay there for a week or so, yes? So with all these they offer you the space to clear your mind, calm your emotions, manage your energy and let the delicious whirlwind of Mercury retrograde to just tousle your hair instead of blowing you over. Phew, okay, let’s crack on with the reading! (I can so chunter on lol). I will be honest, when I went to the cards to ask who wanted to guide this week (and you bet my mind had an idea of what it wanted). I laughed so hard that my tea came out of my nose, not an attractive sight! It wasn’t the cards that my mind were thinking of, but it is the cards that my guides picked. And they picked The Oracle of Divine Circus.

So my Delicious Lovely, let’s take a moment to settle in shall we? Just breathe yourself back into your body, imagine your feet on the earth, the breeze gently brushing your cheek and breathe. It’s time to find the celebratory spirit within. Maybe you already feel it, or maybe it’s the last thing in the world you can imagine feeling right now, but whether it’s on your radar or not, a cause for celebration is imminent. So can you put yourself in the party mood? It starts with a carnival attitude and a pleasure-seeking state of mind. Can you allow for pleasure? For play?

Oh yes, there is always so much to do, but sometimes all that can happen more quickly and easily another day. It’s time to spend your energy in playfulness. That is the most enjoyable piece of spiritual guidance you are probably ever going to receive – so relish it! Don’t wait another moment to get your celebratory vibe on! If you want more success, happiness and celebration in your life, you can enhance that right now by being happy for the success of others around you. Do you know that success is like a wave? When you genuinely congratulate another and feel happy for their happiness, your own energy field gets a jolt of that same energy. You attract it into your own life. You deserve success for all you are and all you’ve accomplished just as much as anyone else.

THE GOOD GEISHA

You are clever. You know how to play an impressive game of strategy to win approval and gain allies. Even without always noticing it consciously, you can sense what people want. Sometimes you are so good at showing others what they want to see that you forget how beautiful you are when you are just being you. But your time has come, the time to unveil the one true real you and attract the allies who are not interested in what you can do for them, but who love you for who you really are.

You are ready to opt out of a game that most people play unconsciously. It’s a game of image and appearance at the expense of the true self.

So many people are so used to playing this game they no longer realise they are doing it. They don’t really know who they are and they are afraid to really find out. They live behind masks that appeal to others but slowly starve their authentic self, denying it the opportunity to experience being seen and to receive real love. In times gone by, your soul has been shackled, your voice silenced, your true beauty hidden under more “appropriate” and “acceptable” guises, your intentions misunderstood and your words misconstrued. Be unafraid to discover the depths of your own being coming to life. If you do not, you shall bind yourself to a life far too bland for the colour and majesty of your soul. The Universe needs you. It needs your strength, your guiding hand, your devotion, your goodness and your protection. Yup, Mercury is Retrograde and with November – the Energy has Shifted! Buckle up Baby, We’re Going Deep!

Happy Miraculous, Misty, Magickal, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! How was your Samhain/Halloween? I will confess, I was left unsupervised with a box of those cute little mini aero bars and kit kats – what can I say? I blame it on not enough Trick or Treaters! Yup, there was only half a box left and I did feel rather sick! (But they were sooo cute and delicious!) However, I did take the time to make an offering to my Ancestors and to walk with the thin veil, it was amazing.

Okay, let’s get down to the Nitty Gritty. Mercury Retrograde and Energy Shift.

Now I know some of you the minute you hear the words “Mercury Retrograde” want to run and hide under a blankie in the closet. Totally get it. Personally it impacted me the minute it shifted by reading submissions not coming through, laptops acting up and my cell phone freezing at the most inopportune moments. Sigh. Breathe, Woosah!

So as we know Mercury is the planet of communication, mentality, thinking patterns, rationality and reasoning, and adaptability and variability. So yes we can sometimes get a tad lost and a bit like Chicken Little running around saying “Mercury is retrograde, Mercury is retrograde!”

But I love what Chani shares about Mercury retrograde:- “Mercury’s retrograde is as much of an underworld journey as Samhain. Okay, so we have unpacked this Mercury Retrograde, now let’s unpack the Energy Shift – whoot! Whoot! Now if you remember this is the Shamanic look at the energy for the month, so for example September was – Commitment, October was – Re-Writing the Story and now for November (drum roll please……………..) The Energy is inviting you to look and work with Proactive Change! So what the heck does that mean you might be asking? Fair enough, please let Lena explain it:- “The focus is on how we can show up from a place of inner choice that is ours alone and free of outside influences, pressures and imprinting.

It is indeed a time to stop complaining about how difficult and challenging the last few weeks have been, and get a bit ruthless about what you intend to change. This is not a passive time. Even the climate that promotes self-observation and emotional reset is an active one as it demands a choice and a direction at the end. Being proactive means choosing change, choosing to say yes or no, choosing to receive, choosing your attitude for the day, choosing acceptance of what is not yours to change, and choosing to be creative and expressive from something inside of you, your unique and personal signature, instead of an outside influence or pressure.

One of the enemies of proactive change is procrastination. When you procrastinate you do so out of resistance to being proactive. So let’s look at this as a package. We have had Samhain which is celebrating our ancestors, looking back and asking for help. On that exact day Mercury went retrograde and invited us to do our inner work and now we have the invitation to really be Proactive about the Change that we want to create and manifest in our lives. (Are you paying attention?????)

For me, personally, this time between Samhain and Winter Solstice is an introspective time, a sorting/sifting time, a time to really do the work and snuggle up as the days get shorter and the weather gets colder. A time to unpack and release the dross that no longer serves and to create a space for something new and nourishing. Are you willing to play with it? Yes, this is deep work, yes there are soooooo many distractions that look far more sparkly, shiny and interesting. But what if you gave yourself 20 minutes a day to do something quiet, deep, introspective, how would that feel? If you do the math between now and Winter Solstice you would have made space and time for 17 hours of deep introspective, exploratory, discovery time! Wowzer! Talk about Proactive Change!

Okay, enough chuntering, let’s crack on – you have enough to perk and play with for the moment!

Ready? I invite you to just BE for a few moments, just BE and BREATHE. Wiggle your fingers and toes, look at your hands and bring yourself to this moment, this present moment. As you breathe let the image of a warm, dark, cosy space flood up in your mind’s eye. In this space you nurture yourself, you are held, you are safe. In this space you can connect with something bigger than yourself and proactively make amazing changes in your life. Breathe that in; let it just float with no attachment to it. With this floating inside you allow it to pick the card or cards that want to share with you this week. So it is.

The desire and the discipline together help us engage with our practice regularly and we can grow so fast it can be quite shocking!

You have great power and wisdom within you, but you need to provide channels for it to flow and be active and empowered in your physical life. Sacred Practice is such a channel. Without these channels, the ego is left to create on its own which is not much fun at all! The ego believes in fear and separation and no matter how much it may want to feel love, bliss, connection, joy and fulfilment, it really cannot do it without your spiritual presence in life. Ritual and Magick, as a form of sacred practice, are recommended for you as a way to bring more spiritual presence into your waking life, to heal and support the ego as you learn to create a life that feels better and brings you and others more fulfilment.

PORTAL OF LIGHT

It is only this physical reality that is bound by time and space. You are a being conscious on levels beyond the physical world. You are guided to work with your healing powers beyond the confines of time and space and to allow your sense of Self to expand. It is safe for you to do this now. You will not become ungrounded through such spiritual growth. You are not leaving your earthly awareness, you are instead adding to it.

You are growing in power and awareness. You have had breakthrough insights where you realise that you are not who you thought you were, you are in fact a much vaster being. Sometimes this was shocking and uncomfortable, and difficult to accept. At other times it was gentle and made much sense to you. You are learning to integrate this awareness of your vast Self into your life. New July energy. Mercury has gone Retrograde. Eclipse season and What’s The Phrase you Hate Saying?

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magickal, Manifesting, Miraculous Monday!! How are you delicious one? For those in Canada or the US, how was your Canada Day or Independence Day? Have to say my long weekend was very fun and filled with music, sunshine, farmer’s markets and lots of laughter! Then it was Pride here in Victoria for the last week and as this is all new to me I had glorious fun as an ally going to the Big Gay Dog Walk and then helping out at a tent at the festival (lots of sequins and wings were worn to say the least).

I have talked to quite a few people lately and they have been feeling rather activated and a little fragmented. No shit. We had a New Moon Solar Eclipse on the 2nd and we are coming up to a Partial Lunar Full Moon Eclipse on the 16th in Capricorn. And if you remember Eclipse season really ramps up the energy and not just for the day but for the weeks and months to come……. Just saying.

With a new month the energy has changed! Yup, not only do we have Eclipse season, Fire Element energy but Shamanically there is an energy theme. If you remember, May was AWARENESS, June was ADAPTING and guess what? The energy for this month is FRICTION!! Doesn’t that sound fun? Lena shares what this means:- “Friction is caused by two hard surfaces grinding against each other, the resistance then producing a spark capable of ignition. The hard surfaces in this case can be anything from old calcified belief systems meeting new truths that challenge actual experiences, to discussions from polar positions that turn heated and argumentative, to new exciting desires and intentions that meet old fear patterns of resistance.

July is a “hot” month of intensity channeled either into positive conceptions, ideas and bursts of creative energy or into irritation, damaging aggression and explosive destruction. The choice is obviously yours. You will need to pay attention and monitor closely how you react and use this friction as well as setting good boundaries against those who are not using it so well. Friction is necessary to ignite a new spark, a new fire that will fuel something new in your life. However, if you do not focus this energy, it will burn up more than you bargained for. The image is that of two pieces of wood that are used to create a spark that can be used to build a fire. Fire was a revolutionary discovery for the human experience. It can be used to cook food, keep warm and to nurture your personal environment. It can also be deadly when it gets out of control and burns everything in its path.

The ignition from tension and friction this month should be used very wisely. Be present and aware of what is causing it in your life and how it can support change and fuel new projects, relationships and improvements. If you are passive, in denial or allow others to take over, it may not go so well. So, set your boundaries and protection but at the same time, look to your own inner friction and allow it to ignite something that will have a positive outcome.

I highly suggest reading more of Lena’s input. However, why doesn’t this energy report surprise me? We have Fire season, Eclipse’s happening, and let’s throw in Mercury retrograde! (Don’t run to the closet, just pay attention lol). So with all this happening why on earth wouldn’t it produce Friction?

I personally have been feeling Friction with a massive amount of bells on, to say the least! Everything has been turned upside down and I have to remind myself to take a breathe, learn through love and chant like a mother trucker.

I have been wondering for the last week whether to share this with you all or not. But then I was guided very clearly to be open, vulnerable and transparent, as I normally am and as you all are with me (which I love and appreciate). So here goes.

What’s the phrase that makes your heart hurt and that you hate saying? For me the last 2 weeks it is “My sister is dying.” Every time I say that there’s a grief that swells up and grabs me by the throat, a huge intake of breath and tears well up. I so fucking loathe having to say that, this was not meant to happen at all.

I have been very blessed that I have had some amazing people in my life that I love with a depth that has opened me up in such a beautiful way. My glorious older sister is one of those people. She has taught me so much and has shared her challenges, her thoughts and her whole amazing being with me and I love it! At the end of October she was diagnosed with colon cancer, WTF! Two full treatments of chemo happened which made her feel so shitty and didn’t really help. Near the end of May chemo was stopped to give her a bit of a break and the cancer went rampant. Throughout this time we would FaceTime every other day, send Messenger voice messages daily and every morning I would go to the beach and pick a rock for her, say a prayer and see her held in white light. But as the cancer went rampant the communication started to dwindle as the bone crushing fatigue would slam her regularly. Last week my brother in law let me know that she wouldn’t be here for her birthday at the end of the month. Wow. The anger, sadness and grief is overwhelming as I can’t fix this for her and I soooooo want to, and my inner child rails that this isn’t fair. She’s my person, someone I love to the moon and back and even more than that. So I’m heading back to the UK to be with her, to hug her, tell her how much she is loved and all the beautiful gifts she has placed in the lives she has touched. But holy hannah, scrambling to get there and having to say to people when they cluelessly ask why I’m going to the UK – “my sister is dying” is brutal. This is a phrase that I never thought I would have to say, let alone outloud to strangers who then have no clue what to say. Grrrrrrrr.

So for all those who are asking for readings, I will be taking a break until August. As I am not willing to split my energy, as I want to focus it on my sister and brother-in-law. Hope you understand.

When I asked the cards who would like to come, guide, support and share this week I smiled when I saw them. This is the glorious Isis Oracle. Have you ever asked who Isis is? The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come play and participate are:- Brecciated Jasper – a detoxifying stone for strength and clarity. Jasper Heart – stimulates the Solar Plexus Chakra and amplifies self-confidence and courage, bringing energy and enthusiasm to one’s life and relationships. Mookaite – a stone for the here and now and harnessing the earth’s energies.

Ready? Breathe out like a sigh. Then take a deep breathe in through your nose, hold it for a few moments and then exhale with a sigh. Allow yourself to be present for a few moments, give yourself that gift. Then when you are ready, with the idea of how to resolve friction floating in your mind’s eye pick the card or cards that tug for you.

New Moon in Pisces, New Energy, Mercury Retrograde and Practical Magic Abounds!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Manifesting, Majestic first Monday of March! That’s right, March is here and Spring Equinox is coming (I’m so excited I love, love, love Spring Equinox). I find it so fascinating that even if I didn’t know what day or month it was my body let’s me know, I can literally feel the Spring energy welling up and my mind has been filled with creating and planting seeds to harvest in the Fall. Quite fascinating. In fact, one project that I have started is designing and creating a glorious garden and the minute I started sketching it out I found a massive Buddha head statue and 3 crazy cat statues on the side of the road! More on that next week once I get it figured out, let me just say it will be a magickal garden with Hawthorn’s, herbs and Big Intent!

Before we explore all the amazing deliciousness that is happening, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who have been writing and messaging me with regards to exploring the moons, equinoxes, rituals and seasons in more depth. That got my juices burbling last week and my amazing magickal guides hopped into the mix and gave me an incredible download. Thus, all being well, I think we will have created something for you by the Equinox. Stay tuned!

Okay, let’s look at what is burbling. First we have a new energetic theme for the month, Second, we have a glorious New Moon, and last but not least we have Mercury Retrograde! (No, running for the closet, it’s all good – quite magickal in fact.)

March is bringing us some glorious new energy! Shamanically the theme for this month is Next Step. If you remember January was Clean it Up, February was Activation and March is Next Step! Are you ready?

Let me share what Lena has to say:- “ In taking that “next step”, we are also dealing with anxiety, fear, confusion and trusting the unknown. We exit the month of February with lots of bits and pieces on our plate. Some are clear, some make no sense, some fit the puzzle, some don’t, some have come out of the blue creating sudden change, and some feel like road blocks with no clear solution……yet. There will be those of you that begin this month in a slight state of overwhelm and anxiety. Others will be excited about the possibilities and ready to launch into that next step. A lot was put into motion last month and some of it is just beginning to manifest.

The “next step” is on everyone’s mind. We all know that we are moving forward in some way. Some of you know exactly what that is and are chomping at the bit to get there already. But for many there are still unknowns, loose ends and gaps in clarity that may be producing anxiety, worry and fear. We know we are going somewhere, creating something new, we just do not have all the parts together yet, and the fear is that we will fail or be disappointed and unsuccessful in reaching our goals.

As we evolve, we are inevitably moving into a higher octave, a higher vibration, the upper room. But our fears are holding us back as we cling to what we know, as unsatisfying as that may be. There is no stopping the evolutionary process. It is like telling your hair or fingernails not to grow. The more you cling and hold back, the greater the possibility you will end up in depression and despair with blocked creativity and a feeling of stagnation.” You can read more about this energy at her site.

We have a glorious New Moon on Wednesday 6th and this New Moon is in Pisces which invites us to expand and illuminate or be held back by our shadow side. This is a moon from the transcendental realms. It holds the promise of a re-birth. It has a quality of merging the spiritual with the material. This is a moon to manifest the dream. However, its negative expression could mean among others, a lack of will, not clear intentions and non-clarity in emotions. It could mean harboring unrealistic expectations from ourselves, subdued will or lessened vitality. Which route would you rather pick? Personally I like the former far more! Added to the energy of Next Step and the delicious New Moon in Pisces we have Mercury Retrograde! Whoot, whoot! (Can you say, hold onto your bloomers?) This is the perfect time to really take the time to investigate some of the leftovers from the past. Now what do I mean by that? Let’s say every time you think of your sister there is a resentment about something she did or didn’t do. Therefore this resentment is taking up space in your head and heart, holding energy blocked instead of allowing it to flow. Time to let that puppy go and welcome your own energy back clear, clean and fresh. So if you experience any “tweakiness” during this retrograde take a moment to look at if it’s coming from outside of you or from inside. If it’s yours and it’s holding old energy that can be better used in the present day. Let it Go!

Take a moment to breathe yourself back into your body, feel your feet on the floor and your spine lengthening to the sky. Breathe into all the little hidden corners that sometimes get forgotten. As you breathe ask the question of what is your next step. Just breathe that in and let it settle in your minds eye, and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

INITIATION

When you are being spiritually initiated into the mysteries of light, love and power, there are moments of deep challenge. The key is to find the light within the challenge – the learning, growth or wisdom that can be summoned to turn the challenge into an opportunity for healing. Initiation will occur at various stages. Sometimes your entire life will feel like an initiation, at other times specific areas will be flowing easily whilst others re deeply challenging. Please know you are not needlessly suffering. If you can find the light within the struggles, tests or challenges that face you now, you will experience breakthrough healing.

As an Initiate, honour life as a gift and treat any challenge or pressure as a way for you to grow into a brighter and purer light capable of great spiritual service on this planet. That spiritual service includes growing an ability to be able to love freely and beyond limits, to love with courage and faith.

In fact initiation for you now, dear one, is an opening to new levels of power and peace, self-possession and love. There are such sweet fruits waiting for you at the top of the tree you are currently climbing. It may seem as though you are in barren land at times with little hope, nourishment or encouragement, yet your spiritual oasis is not far away! The Lady Isis and the Power of Ra together are helping you grow. Stay focused on the Lady and Her love for you and you shall pass through the desert of the Initiation unharmed and deeply transformed.

STAY TRUE AND BE IN YOUR POWER

The Flail and Crook, often held by Osiris, are symbols of Divine royalty and dominion. These symbols remind us that within we hold great dominion, spiritual authority and freedom to be the sovereign ruler of our own Self. This does not mean that we have to control life or others or even the environment around us, but it does give us complete and utter choice to become as spiritually awake, free, and self-determined as we wish to be, as well as providing us with complete choice as to what our values and actions will be this lifetime.

There is no permission required from anyone, apart from yourself, to be and live your truth! There are many voices that will test you on the journey from illusory shackles of fear, loss or abandonment that may hold you back or tempt you into giving your power away to others. You shall awaken from the testing into the realisation of spiritual independence within.

You have the power to create and own your reality and you don’t need permission from anyone else to do this. Honour your spiritual sovereignty, let the lady Isis help you find your spiritual authority and freedom of choice now. Seeking to hand over any responsibility for your own well being to another can be a tricky and ultimately self-destructive path, even though it may seem to start off as a relief of stress about some concern or other. You are guided to exercise care and discernment about any issue that feels like it is compromising your sense of self and personal power. That issue is a Soul healing trying to happen. Look within and see if you can grow through it in some way. There is much self-confidence trying to emerge from within you!
