Did you Remember to Remember?

Hello delicious lovely!! Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Manifesting, Majestic, Mesmerising, Mysterious, Memorable Monday! How are you on this glorious day?

Did you know that yesterday was the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day? (Which happened at the 11th hour on the 11th day in the 11th month in an 11 year!) Think about that. On Nov. 11, 1918, fighting in World War I came to an end following the signing of an armistice between the Allies and Germany that called for a ceasefire effective at 11 a.m.– it was on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Yesterday marked the 100 years ago of the end of the First World War. Again, think about it. At that moment in time there was Peace and Hope of something different.

Personally, I think it is important to focus on those types of events, the ones that inspire Hope and Peace, and don’t get me wrong, there are all sorts of wars still being waged all over the world. But drop back into that space of Armistice, Hope and Peace – it is sooooo possible on every level in this world (at least that is my belief).

The other day I was in a grocery line up, with my butternut squash, Brussels and cheese (won’t that make an interesting meal), and wearing the Poppy that I always do for Remembrance Day – in fact this year I have bought 5 as I keep losing them or they dropped off. As I’m waiting in line for my turn the chap behind me started a rather odd debate with me about the wearing of a Poppy. He shared that he refused to wear one as it was a symbol of death to which I totally, 100% disagree. The Poppy to me is a symbol of Remembering those who bravely went to fight for our freedoms and well being. It is also a symbol of Hope, hope for our troops that are still deployed all over the world and Hope for a time of Peace. If you don’t know the story of the Poppy I felt compelled to go learn as much as possible and there is a great post here. As someone who was in the Military reserves and a reserve police officer and also having friends who were or still are in the military, let alone a father who was and a grandfather, I feel very strongly about the respect and honour that is due to those sacrifices and those that are still away from home.

Yesterday I went to a, new to me, Remembrance Day service in a community nearby and I have to say, the minute the bagpipes started playing I turned into a weeping person! There is something about the sound of bagpipes that pulls at my heart strings and dances through my soul and then tears start to flow! Does anyone else have this response? Because I was standing there with tears dripping down my face and not a tissue in sight! (This is where my mother’s voice kicks in and reminds me to always carry tissues upon one’s person.)

Today as I was talking to the cards and asking who would like to be present, the conversation with the gentleman in the grocery store burbled up and it really got me to thinking about Peace and Hope. So as I went for my early morning loop and yomp onto the beach, that conversation burbled and burbled some more and there was a feeling of defiance towards the gentleman who had declared the poppy as bad! When I came home feeling ocean refreshed and calm the deck that really bolted to the forefront was the Wild Kuan Yin Oracle. Now if this deck is new to you, or you can’t remember what it is about, let me tell you it is delicious. It is a very loving deck that is filled with divine defiance and an untamed heart – helping us humans move from conditioning to wild divinity. “Great spiritual beings are frequently known to thwart convention, not simply for the sake of it, but because they live in a reality beyond the limited mindsets of mainstream culture. They know that life is not what mainstream culture believes it to be. Within every human heart is the potential to take such a wild divine leap, but the courage it takes to break free from conditioning and stand apart from the crowd is enormous. There are challenges along the way, and yet the lure of freedom is so strong at a certain point on the spiritual path. There is a hunger for living beyond what we are told is possible, passionate push from the soul to live according to inner truths rather than social and cultural conditioning.” Thus, if this resonates for you, come along……. I will also say these are the hardest cards to take a picture of!

The crystals that wanted to join in are Ruby Zoisite, Cinabrite and Malachite – yes they do all end in “ite”. Oh yes, some of the beach treasures and the most bizarre piece of a Monkey Tree wanted to come join as well!

Before you pick a card I want you to allow in Peace. What is Peace? What does Peace within you, Peace from you and Peace all surrounding you look and feel like to you? So I invite you to take a moment, just a moment and breathe with that. As you take a glorious deep breath in through your nose vibrate the word Peace in your mind and as you exhale through an open mouth send out the intention of Peace & Hope to whomever or whatever you choose. Keep breathing in this way and repeating the vibration of Peace within you, Peace from you and Peace and Hope gently surrounding you. THE SNOW SHEPHERDESS

I come to you with news of unexpected life. Something that seemed once impossible, without energy or hope of success, is coming to life. Not only is this an unexpected happening but it will be taking place when you think it is least likely. I come with the decree that life shall have its way, no matter what circumstances appear to dictate, and in the midst of great loss, scarcity or denial of life, a blessing of abundance, fertility and new beginnings will be given. So it shall be, by divine decree.

Life has its own power to prevail. Whilst abundance may be more obvious when we are in feast instead of famine, or in a lush jungle instead of a desert (whether or not an oasis looms over the next sandhill), life will happen even in the most unlikely situations. The small green shoot that sprouts out of a crack in a city pavement is an expression of life’s bold, prevailing will.

Your job is to not lose yourself in doubt, nor to grow attached to a particular outcome. It is to be curious and patient, to go about your life with the silent expectation within your heart that, somehow, things are going to work out – in ways you cannot necessarily see, sense or feel at the moment. Being told there will be a surprise doesn’t negate the surprise, but it does give us a chance to ignite hope which softens disappointment and despair. It allows us to have the courage to trust in what is coming, not enslaved by what has or has not had a chance to be.

Whatever it is you are dreaming or imagining, no matter how improbable it seems, how at odds with logic it may appear to be, or however many people look at you like you are mad when you share your dream with them – believe. Put your faith in life. Let go of how and when, but do not let go of your dream. Let life manifest it for you through its natural power, which is considerable, and its natural impulse towards growth.

THE PRINCESS OF RED POPPIES

I dwell in an expansive reality, beyond time and space, where the past has been, the future is yet to be, and what stretches out in all directions, with unlimited potential, is this living radiant moment. I bring you the gift of expanded perception, of freedom from the past, and an ability to simply be happy in the here and now, whilst my heartfelt blessings are drawing sweet success into your future.

The past is well and truly behind you now. Though at times you may struggle to feel free from what has once been, be assured that any power the past has held over you is rapidly coming to a close. Whilst there may be memories that arise – fond or painful – the “emotional charge” that these hold for you is fading away and it will soon be reduced to nothing.

The reason you are being blessed with freedom from the past is so that you may enjoy this present moment where the weaving of your future is already taking place. You are meant to be planting different seeds now for a different reality to be able to make itself known in your future. For this to happen, you must be freed from your attachment and fear of the past. You must be given a gift of release.

Whether or not you believe you still have unfinished business with matters from the past, whether it seems absolutely clear to you or not, The Princess of Red Poppies comes with karmic blessing: an ability to clear away any debris so that you are free. Do not hesitate to accept this gift. It only comes to you when it is the right time. Sometimes we need to make peace with the past by working through its nuances and recognise what we have learned and how we have grown. At other times, we have done all that we are capable of doing, and the time to move on is upon us, even if things don’t yet feel absolutely finished. This is one of those times for you. Accept this grace so that you can be ready for your future.

ANCHOR TO FLY

You dream of taking flight, of living with a heart free to soar, your whole being unfettered by restraint as you rise up to meet your destiny. You yearn to experience the next exhilarating level of your life expression, your path, your dreams. And so you shall. I am here to help anchor your growth, so that your highest aspirations can be seeded in this earthly world, transforming your hopes into reality, ensuring practical success for even your most transcendent, spiritually-inspired visions.

Trying to escape the world by hovering above it doesn’t help us bring our dreams to life. Fantasies, where the mind takes flight, can become the seeds of truly inspired ideas, but to transform those inspirations into reality we need to be grounded. What this means is putting in the time and effort for taking practical steps towards our goals. That does not include attempting to control life – including other people and their choices, or the timing of how and when the events in our life unfold. It does include completing tasks to the best of our ability and consciously choosing to let go if we find we are trying to force something to happen, trusting in the loving genius of a great and benevolent universe that wants our divine fulfillment to manifest.

Being grounded though doesn’t mean we give up desire and effort to learn how to take flight. What is meant by taking flight is the ability to feel free, to feel unfettered by negativity or doubt, to feel as though we are hurtling towards our destiny under the guardianship and guidance of the Divine, dreaming up beautiful, wild, exalted visions of delicious possibility with absolute trust. It is an exhilarating feeling of freedom, joy and expansiveness. It feels like flying!

When we do everything within our power to succeed whilst dropping all attachment, we are grounded and we can fly successfully. Without the effort, we waft away from the earth like a lost kite. Without detachment, we cannot rise from the earth and become weighed down by a distrustful need to control. We need the combination of effort and letting go with trust to become anchored enough to truly fly. Your heart is ready for this unconditional trust and the sense of lightness, freedom and joy it brings.

Have confidence in yourself and your work, in what you are capable of doing in the physical world. The desires you wish to manifest are placed in your heart for good reason. To bring them to life requires that you use all your skills and abilities. Don’t pull back from the challenge of that growth. Become so free of mind that whether your success comes to you in a few moments from now, or in a year or more, it matters not to you. You can make such a choice. And the more you let go, becoming light of mind, the more you can fly and the swifter your journey shall unfold. Let your head connect to the unlimited inspiration of the heavens and your feet stay grounded upon the earth, and enjoy your spiraling outwards into ever-increasing life, love and manifestation of your dreams – all whilst being guided and assisted by the Divine Mother.

Oh my gosh, I love how the cards reflect what is happening or the choices that are available. Life Prevails, Release the Past, Ground and Anchor. These are all conundrums that I am sure we have all experienced at one point or another. Interesting to see that the releasing the past with blessings involves poppies! That made me grin from ear to ear. So delicious lovely, I wish you a glorious week of waxing moon energy and the threads of Peace and Hope to weave through your day to day. Remember to breathe, smile as often as possible (it has a bigger impact than eating 100 chocolate bars!), move your body and offer out Peace, Hope and Love to all you meet this week. Including yourself in the mirror! Huge hugs and warm tea squeezes.

Hunter Moon, Witches, Wishes and Stretching the Comfort Zone.

Hello gorgeous, gorgeous lovely! Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magnanimous, Momentous, Mystical, Merry, Manifesting Monday! How has your week been? How are you feeling? This week has been amazing, challenging and so many cool synchronicities and places of connection as I really stretched my comfort bubble. But more on that in a bit. Today, we are celebrating my lovely 4th child (in case you are a tad gobsmacked, I do have 5). It is his 19th birthday today and I have to say he is growing into such an amazing, caring, clear young man.

If you remember, every month we have talked about a theme and the theme for October is “Taking Inventory”. This is where we all really look at ourselves, our resources, our relationships and really see where they fit, if they fit and what can we possibly shift and change a bit. Within this theme are peak times and a bit more “introverted” times. With the upcoming Hunter Moon on Wednesday the 24th the energy is more inward, a little lower. Thus, if you have been feeling a tad lethargic, more reflective or wondering why you aren’t bustling around like a mad fiend, don’t fret.

This glorious Full Moon is in Taurus and the invitation is to get really grounded, calm, centred and solid. (Think of Taurus the Bull). It’s a stabilising, strengthening moon and one to help with discovering what our triggers and our weak spots are. It’s also a time of self care and nourishing yourself first and foremost, so that you can nourish others and your dreams. Yes? So remember on Wednesday to take at least an hour for yourself and do something that makes you feel really alive, vibrant but also grounded – kind of like a calm, strong touchstone. For me it is most certainly getting out under the gorgeous leaves (whilst they are here), walking and just exploring, then finding a luscious spot on a mossy rock, or a chunk of driftwood and breathing in the space and the energy around me. (So guess what I will be doing?) Full Moons are also a glorious time of release and an easy way to do this is take some time, light a candle, write down the things you would like to release and if you find that challenging then just doodle on a piece of paper trusting that mother earth will guide and support what you need to release, even if you aren’t sure of what it is. Then burn it! Yes, burn it! If you need a bit clearer outline of how to do this at Full Moon time I have you covered!

This last week I made a commitment to myself to streeeeettttcccchhhh my comfort zone somewhat. As an intuitive, introvert, empath (if we are using labels), I can often hermit a tad and as glorious as that is because that quiet, solo time is my nourishing time. It is also important to expand that bubble a bit. So that was what I did this week! If I was going somewhere that was under 5km I would walk it, just so that I could see places, things, people and flowers that I hadn’t seen. Within the first day I noticed that people didn’t really look at each other as they passed by, so I made it my mission to smile and say hi to everyone I passed! The first day or so not much of a response, but by yesterday I would say I had a 90% response rate! Whoot!

I went and did a workshop of landscaping with native plants and I did a very cool alliance workshop where 24 organisations and institutions had got together to work for the higher common good. Now for a lot of people these may seem rather mundane, but for me they weren’t. Why? Being in a room of 40 or more people that I don’t know, exploring deep social issues that I feel are important – such as social isolation, mental wellbeing, homelessness is fabulous, but for me also rather intense as I will always show up in that kind of space – open, present and willing to show up and I have to remember to zip my energy up so I can do that without taking on all the energy of everyone else.

On Saturday I went for an explore on foot (and by the way I am averaging 14km a day!) The sun was shining, I had just voted (as we had a municipal election) and it took far longer than I thought it would as I got quite exuberant and filled in too many boxes. Thus, when they processed my ballot they sent me back to do another one. I had to laugh as to me it was like being back in elementary school and told to colour within the lines. Anyhow, as I was exploring various areas I walked down this street and saw the most bizarre “yard sale” going on. It was very eclectic and there was a sign that said “Everything a dollar, but there’s a free table over there.” I glanced at the free table and noticed there were 3 humongous pottery planters all planted up, kind of tucked underneath. Have to say my eyes lit up at that! There was an older woman with silver hair standing with her back to me and as I said “Excuse Me” she turned around and I grinned like a mad fiend. She was wearing a black hoodie with one of my favourite sayings on it:- “We are the granddaughters of the witches you couldn’t burn.”

A slight shiver went up my the back of my neck as I asked about the planters. Originally I thought I could take out whatever plants they were and replant, but as I looked closer they were all filled with the most amazing herbs. Herbs for tea, herbs for healing, herbs for cleansing. These were “witches” planters! This woman’s face lit up like a sunbeam when she saw me and she started chortling away – “Let me guess, you want to ask about the planters?” We had the most bizarre and interesting conversation that felt like when I would talk to my Great Aunt. I felt seen, valued, and those pieces that I often hide under a mask where tenderly invited out. The bottom line was I got all 3 humongous “witches” planters for $3.00. I quickly walked home, grabbed my truck and booked it back to load them up (as they were far too heavy to carry). Later on that day all the kids that are here and kids that aren’t mine loaded up in the truck and drove up the peninsula to a glorious farm where we spent a good hour or so wandering through plumpkin patches and finally picking our own pumpkin for Halloween/Samhain out of the field. It was sooooo much fun, so now we have 9 huge fat orange plumpkins waiting to be carved next week. An hour or two skipping stones on the beach together and gathering treasures, shell pieces, cool rocks, driftwood. It was delicious.

So what have all these things got to do with one another? I perked this yesterday as I walked and chatted with random strangers. Community, connection and realising that we all need to be seen, heard, valued. Again, you may think that is rather mundane, but for a lot of people it is something that they long for or hope for, it’s a delicious bite of sanctuary. So here’s my call to action, or invitation for you. As you go about your day smile at everyone even if they don’t return it. Take a different way to work. Stop and just talk to someone. Stretch your comfort zone, even if it is only for 5 minutes and welcome someone else into that spot. Truly look at another human being and without judging how they are dressed, what they believe in, how their hair looks – send them a blessing. A gentle wish for well being, peace and knowing they are loved and valued. Are you willing to play?

Okay, I have rambled on long enough, sorry. Let’s get on with the reading. With the glorious Full Moon almost upon us and Samhain/Halloween, just around the corner (one of my most favourite celebrations by the way). When I asked which lovely cards wanted to come teach and guide us this week it was most interesting to see that the Oracle of the Shapeshifters were front and centre. Have you ever met this deck before? Let me share something with you that kind of encompasses the energy of this deck. “It doesn’t happen all at once, “ said the Skin Horse. “You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time are Real, most of your hair has been love off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in your joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.” – The Velveteen Rabbit. In other words – All meaningful and lasting change starts first in your imagination and then works its way out.

When I asked the crystals who wanted to participate it was nooooo surprise to me that Moonstone came out front and centre, as well as Cinabrite. Thus, there is Moonstone, Cinabrite and Black Moonstone.

So are you ready? Breathe into your body, fill the corners of your belly the sides of your toes and the back of your calves and then exhale it as a train out of your mouth. If you would like a lovely guided visualisation with a blessing to mull daily, feel free. If not, centre, ground and think about the full moon and what you want to release, think about community and connection and what that means to you, and think about how does it feel to be calm and grounded as the wind starts to whip your hair up. Breathe into that space and when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

DRAGONLING GARDEN

Dragonling is the faery caretaker of the newborn dragons. Her garden is their nursery, their safe place, where they first meet nature, flowers, bees, butterflies, shapeshifters, faeries, animals, and now….you.

In a new world we will live together – the fae, as am I; the animals who gather about the newborn one in the magickal grove; and you, a child of the New Earth. This grove is a womb, Nature’s sacred temple of the Goddess and God, and in this place we are caring for the newborn magickal ones – and witnessing the return of the dragons. All that we feared lost from the world is returning; all that we thought impossible to hope for has come back to us.

The whole world is singing, is in love, because the rebirth of magick is taking place. We cannot live without magick. The dragons, the trees, the animals, the fae, and the humans must – somehow – learn to live together. Now that the dragons have entrusted their babes to us, we know the world can be rebirthed too. You have come through this time of hardship, and you, like the entire planet and all of her creatures, are reborn. Rejoice in this great blessing! They have come back to you! Sing your joy to this world – you feel the happiness of Gaia’s heart, hear the bells ringing out at every birth, and know once again that you live in the times of legend.

You have claimed your place in the world, reborn and tender, yet strong and honorable. You now must shift the focus from the self lone into the we, the us, the bond between all. You will not lose yourself again, as you once thought you would. You must shift the focus from the old self – for that self has fallen away and died, and here you are anew. If you shift the focus from the old self and the thousand petty worries and complaints that you can conjure, you will be of service. You will do kind things. You will be cared for. There is no further need to worry – only to live well and in kindness, serving something greater.

POE’S BRAVE FLIGHT

Most of us are encouraged to stay safe, to avoid what may hurt us, and thus we shrink, day by day. Many religions and cultures have supported this notion of staying safe above all other enterprises for over two thousand years. They have encouraged us to feel separated from a place of beauty and peace called Heaven, suggesting again and again that we have been punished, because we are here on Earth. We fear pain and feel guilt when we experience suffering: We must have created it. But the truth is that simply by being alive, you will be challenged. The truth is, you have chosen to come here, to evolve. And your best opportunities for learning and being taught great lessons lie in the moments others call painful. Whatever frightens you now is exactly that which you must do. The truth is, as Poe is demonstrating, the humblest creatures – even the pigeons – can fly high and far, and have much to teach and show us. By taking that chance, by doing something outside of what we consider to be safe, we will learn and be blessed with the experience of divinity on this planet.

You are going to be offered a chance to do something out of your normal reality, and instead of thinking it through, again and again, and analysing its risks until you are immobilised, Poe’s Brave Flight asks you to take the suggestion of another and fly high. There will be a message that comes to you via a text or an email, and it will be up to you whether you respond – or whether you ignore the call. This could be a trip where air travel is involved, or an experience where you will have to take some chances and be uncertain of what will happen. You must allow uncertainty to enter your life – because your life is being slowly killed by safety. Take the chance: Travel, explore, and overcome a fear of flying – all will be worth it, for you will discover something wonderful about yourself in return. You are brave and capable of greater things!

A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE WORM

This Beautiful little worm may seem very humble and unimportant, but he can teach you about caring for that which seems insignificant or a little strange, yet so very loveable. Many people find you strange, and you often think that no one cares, but you are important, and there are people who love you very much. This creature will give to you genuine care. He will encourage you to rest; to exercise regularly, gently; to be very kind to yourself; to check on your resources and know what you have and where you may need to build up supplies. And he will help you organise your space at home, so all is not a frantic blur of homework and assignments and the pressure of keeping up, and you will have somewhere to escape and relax. There you can have your own rose, your own space, away from the stresses and demands of school, work, and even close friends. This creature may be vulnerable but, like you, worms are intelligent, alert, and very able. Most of all, they are love, and they are important. At this time you will be helped by having a safe place to be, and you’ll feel still, calm, and quiet, even if those around you are going a little crazy!

When you are going through deep change, you often are more vulnerable than at other times. The process of change can take a great deal of your available energy, and while you may feel well and know you can get through it, at times something – a psychic dagger thrown by someone who feels rejected by your change, a bug who nestles into the hole left by your weakened immune system, or simply old negative patterns – takes its last stand, as it knows you are ready to move on and tries to stop you.

At these times it is very important to treat yourself as the most precious, gentle extension of divinity. It is time now to rest, to give yourself permission to sleep more, to eat only the best foods, and to make things easy for yourself, just for a few days. Choose a beautiful place to rest and recuperate. Cocoon and comfort yourself for a time.

This is a time of restoration, and you must slow down, wrap yourself in a metaphorical cuddly blanket, and drift, just for a time. It is now time for you to experience the solace you wish for, to take very good care of your beautiful self, to slow down, and to heal in a safe environment you give to yourself. It is time to remember how loved you are, and that there are people and beings (including magickal beings) who truly watch over you and care. Remember to treat yourself with love and tender compassion, and others will follow. Before long, thanks to the comfort you’ve given yourself and the time out, your energy will resurge again, vital, flowing, bright, and quick, after this time of gentle sleep and rest.

Ahhhhhhh, Holy Hannah that was delicious. For those of you who have asked, I do the reading, without knowing the reveal. I then write and then I do the reveal to myself and to you and somehow, someway it all ties in. The Full Moon of self care, the willingness to step outside the comfort zone, the willingness to look at yourself as part of community. Awesome. Sturgeon Full Moon in Pisces and a Reset button!

Happy, happy glorious last Magickal, Marvelous, Miraculous Monday of August delicious lovely! (Holy Hannah this month has dashed by like a herd of wild horses with their tails on fire). We have had months and months of hot weather (brutally hot as far as this redhead is concerned) and weeks and weeks of smoke. In fact the smoke was so thick the other day I had to remind myself that I live on the side of a mountain, there is in fact a huge lake somewhere down there and a city as well, because you couldn’t see any of it. It’s felt very much like being trapped in a Victorian Jack the Ripper movie where the fog is so thick you can’t see anything until it’s right on top of you! (Thankfully no Jack the Ripper was lurking in the smoke). With this smoke the energy is radically different and it feels cooler as the sun isn’t able to burn through it and send her warming rays. Thus, at 3 in the afternoon it feels as if it should be about 7pm and I will say my body has been craving more “autumnal” foods (imagine soups, pasta, warmer dishes that are a bit heavier and richer).

Yesterday was the glorious Sturgeon Moon, Grain Moon in Pisces and this is a fabulous full moon as it’s literally giving us a bit of respite and a reset button. Through a good chunk of the summer we have been dealing with intense energies that have really challenged and tested our ability to let go of things that no longer serve us (which is always a good thing, however, not necessarily a comfie thing to do). This full moon brings a close to that intense energy chapter and with the moon being in Pisces it is a compassionate, emotional, gentle moon that encourages you to be grateful for joy, satisfaction and the beauty that surrounds you.

Don’t get me wrong, it is also inviting you to release the last vestiges of anything that is holding you back so that you can be open and ready for the new energies that are coming in as we move into Autumn. I invite you to take a little time today to reflect on what you have been letting go of whether emotional, physical, mental or spiritual and put into the lovely vacuum that has been created by your release huge gratitude! What and whom are you grateful for and why? What has shown up for you as you’ve been willing to release with no attachment to the outcome?

For me personally half of July and all of August has been about release, letting go and having deep soul searing trust in the path unfolding. Why? As the intention that I set on Summer Solstice was that I had (not just wanted to), but had to live by the ocean in a joyful way. Well holy hannah the Universe responded within 3 weeks and events and situations started unfolding that I couldn’t have stopped if I wanted to! The first four days of realising that this was happening were terrifying. I went into massive resistance, thought I was losing my mind, cried a lot and fought against it and then surrender and willingness kicked in and wow! So in 4 days I move! I have been purging my home, my work, my beliefs, my relationships – everything for the last 6 weeks and some days have felt exhilarating and others, meh – not so much. I am leaving my home, old friends, my doggo’s behind as well as two of my kids (who are old enough to be okay with that) and venturing out into the unknown and it feels terrifyingly right (if that makes sense).

This process has triggered up an old pattern for me, which is I loathe, absolutely loathe saying goodbye to people I love and care about. Thus, when a lovely friend put together a goodbye party I cancelled it as the idea of having to say goodbye to a large group of friends all at the same time felt far to uncomfie and overwhelming. And although other people may judge that and have commentary about it, I don’t care as to me that is self care. Knowing what I want to do, knowing what energetically I am willing to take on and knowing what would make me want to run and hide (even if others feel it is a fun, fabulous thing) and being able to say nope is good.

Thus, when I hear friends or clients saying “I can’t let go of this, that or the other”, the answer is “Bollocks! If you want to, you can.” So do please use the energy of this full moon for a gentle dusting of release and a big dollop of satisfaction and gratitude.

Phew! With that all being said let’s get to the reading (after all that’s why your here, yes?) When I asked the cards who wanted to come and share this week The Faery Forest Oracle immediately flitted to the front. Now, if you have never encountered these delightful guides let me share – “The wondrous beings of this Faery Forest are here to heal us, inspire us and urge us all to become more who we truly are meant to be.” When I had a conversation with the crystals (and yes I do talk to them as I would a person, an animal or a plant), Malachite – a stone of transformation, Carnelian – promotes positive life choices and Atlantisite – promotes opening up to spirit, all wiggled and jiggled to come and play (along with some lovely edible flowers).

AWEN

“Awen” translates to “divine inspiration” or “flowing breath”. It is a mystical force that offers us a moment where there is a sudden surge in newfound knowledge, inspired thought, the ability to awaken our dormant talents and a sense that before we were given the gift of Awen , we were like sleepwalkers.

Awen is a moment where life is forever changed, and once we drink of Awen, or feel it as a beam of divine light entering us and changing us, we can never return to who we were, and the world is never the same again. So having experienced what has taken place, you cannot pretend life can ever be the same. You have lifted the veil and you have seen the face of the Divine. You have drunk the elixir of the gods, and the faeries have offered you their greatest gift.

Awen does not stay – but the knowledge of what we have experienced in that moment changes us forever. So, now that you have had this life-changing experience and been given this incredible moment of inspiration, you can either pretend to yourself that life is without magick, or you can continue to embrace the magick in the enchantment of every moment. THE WYZARD

This wyzard is out and proud about their beliefs, and revels in the public use of knowledge. This is a card that can turn up when one has embraced their spiritual journey – and your joy in embracing your true self is evident. There will also be recognition, sometimes very favourable indeed. You are beginning to do what you once only dreamed of doing, becoming whom you once dreamed of being.

Your aura is charged with healing green light, your eyes shine with love and confidence, and your beauty is that of the inner natural divine self expressed outwardly. You are living your intuitive life outwardly in the world, fearlessly, powerfully, magickally, and thus you are transforming and healing the world, as well as providing a loving example of a wise one – a wyzard – to all who encounter you.

No longer do you fear rejection from friends or family as you embrace your spiritual and personal path. This is not imaginary. There is nothing alien or bizarre about being intuitive and living magickally, reconnecting with your power. THE SOLITARY

Within, within you go. When the Solitary visits, you are about to go within, to withdraw, and retreat from the world for a time. This can be a response to an event from outside – a trauma, sadness or betrayal – and the withdrawing inwards, which appears to be depression, is actually a way of respecting the soul’s shadow, investigating it, understanding it, and mastering it. This card indicates a time when you will go it alone – walk your own path, choosing to carve a way forward that you can be sure remains true to the deep self. There will be a time of learning away from the mainstream, and there may be times when you feel isolated and somewhat worried about how your new path will be perceived.

You may have experienced a past life as a healer, seer, witch, wyzard, or medicine man, in which a new order decreed your power to be invalid and dark. Witches, Magic and Smoke!!

Happy Magickal, Marvellous, Magickal Monday! How are you delicious lovely? Did you have a splendid week? We have been living in what feels like very surreal conditions for the last week. There are so many forest fires burning around us that the sky has become a strange blanket of grey/white smoke for days! It feels like we are stuck inside some childs snow globe (except it would be a smoke globe), the sun can’t even penetrate the smoke to cast down her heat, instead she sits in the sky like a tiny orange dot. This is turn has created merry hell with things such as the internet, cell reception and all sorts of things. Thus, if you took advantage of the Eclipse Reading Offer (which does end at midnight today), and haven’t heard anything – don’t panic, with the intermittent internet coverage it has been like dealing with Mercury Retrograde on steroids! However, as Mercury has just turned direct I am hoping for better communications and some frigging rain!

It’s been interesting to see how this level of smoke has been affecting people’s energy and moods. There is a desire to sleep more (which is normal) and some people are exceptionally cross about the whole situation and will spend every minute ranting at whomever will listen about how unacceptable this is and how inconvenient. The fact of the matter is that it’s happening, it sucks, our firefighters are doing a stellar job, the helicopters are continually going over the lake scooping up large buckets of water, and hopefully we get rain and clearer skies. Spending my whole day fuming about it all isn’t going to change it, right? Funnily enough with all this fire around, the other night I thought it might be fun to bleach the tips of my red hair, so I slapped on some bleach and then got immersed in something else and forgot! 2 hours later (yes two hours) I quickly washed it off to find that my hair had gone golden, coppery, red and looked like a flame! (When mishaps turn into blessings – phew)!

In days of yore I’m sure people would have thought that “witches” (normally the wise woman of a village who worked with herbs and healing) had caused the wildfires to punish Farmer Brown for not selling her a pint of milk. Well we all know how that would turn out don’t we? Burning, hanging, drowning or being rolled down a hill in a barrel filled with stakes. (None of which sound very appealing at all to be honest!) In fact on this day in 1612 nine Pendle witches were hanged at Gallows Hill in Lancaster, England. The only witness to them being witches was a 9 year old boy! So that made me think that for me personally, the fact I talk to my plants, have crystals everywhere, read oracle cards, connect to the divine on a daily basis, celebrate the seasons, the moons, eclipses, use homeopathy and herbs as my first line of defense for ailments and illnesses, talk to the cat and dogs – you know the usual. I would most certainly be cast as a witch, (which in this day and age I am most proud of!). I think that’s why I like Tish Thawer’s quote from her book “The Witches of Blackbrook”, which says “We are the granddaughters of the witches you weren’t able to burn!” (Very apropo with all this smoke and fire around don’t you think?)

So with witches, wonderment and magic abounding let’s crack on with the reading. I was delighted to see that the lovely “Oracle of the Dragonfae” decided it was important to them to show up. Now, if you have never worked with these delicious guides let me share a bit about them. These guides are the magickal and mystical that weave through the threads of every day, they are the Dragonfae, Gods and Goddesses who dwelt in dimensional lands….Eden, Avalon, Ys, Atlantis and Mu, they are Morgan, Guenevere, Merlin and others – fully alive and filled with magick! The crystals that came to play are Moonstone, Red Calcite and Red Jasper – yummers!!! As always, a Selenite wand for amplification and some lovely flowers and lemon balm from the garden. I did the reading outside (even if smokey) and added the smoke of my smudge to the sky……..

Okay, let’s take a glorious deep breath in through the nose and sigh it out through your mouth. As you exhale, feel within your body all the tension and the worry flowing out on your breathe. Breathe in again, gently roll your shoulders and when you feel that you are fully back in yourself. Ask your essence what question is burbling there for you. What do you need a little support or guidance with and with that held in your minds eye then pick the card or cards that resonate for you. Ready?

You know that I shine upon this Earth and that we belong to each other. Yet you have disconnected, for all your knowledge, when only a few moments spent beneath my rays would cleanse your entire energy field, assisting you in shining your light at the full moon. The Eclipse is Past and Lammas is coming!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal Monday! How are you feeling with the Full Lunar Eclipse just having happened? Remember this energy isn’t just for that one day, it will be burbling along for a couple of months (yes, I did say months). So remember to continually come back to your intention and to watch where your thoughts go. If you find your mind wandering down the dark alleyway of fear and limiting beliefs, entice it back out into the open with a cooling ice cream! Yes?

We have had unrelenting heat for the last 2 months and I have to admit it is getting a bit wearing. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun, but when it’s 100F day in, day out it makes it draining to do things out doors (and that makes me grumbly and grumply lol). Although, yesterday I did spend 8 hours putting sheathing up on the workshop I’m building (which is looking like a tiny home) and figuring out the roof pitch and rafter cuts, so that was quite satisfying. However, with the heat I was a puddle of a person with gobs of sawdust stuck all over me, so a cooling shower and an iced glass of lemonade was quite refreshing.

August is rapidly approaching which means on Wednesday we get to welcome in and celebrate Lammas! Whoot! Whoot! (Note I said Lammas and not Llamas, although if you feel inclined to celebrate Llamas go for it). Lammas is the first Harvest Festival of the year, it is a time of awareness that the strength of the Sun (Lugh) is beginning to wane and there is a shift and change afoot. Active growth is slowing down and the darker days of winter and reflection are gently and slowly raising their heads. I love Lammas as it’s such a glorious celebration of food, first harvest and gathering. Now enough chuntering from me, let’s crack on with the reading. With the Eclipse just past and all of us in this time of transformation and change, it was no surprise to see that the Oracle of Shadows and Light were adamant to come out to play. Next time you ponder a gift to yourself: a massage, a treat, a spiritual workshop, a delicious meal, time to laugh with a friend, a long rest or nap, meditation time, a space clear…..know that when you energetically tell yourself “I am way too busy for that indulgence,” you are really saying, ‘I do not deserve that!’ Well, let’s decide that you do! I am about to have my treat. I now charge you with the same quest. Give yourself that which you have been denying yourself. You do deserve it!”

Do not rationalise or talk yourself out of it any longer. Step out of the consciousness of lack and into the consciousness of “I deserve,” and grant yourself this lovely moment of luxury. It’s time for some joie de vivre and enjoyment to restage a grand entrance into your life!
