Imbolc, New Moon and Chinese New Year!

Happy Magickal, Mystical, Magnificent, Majestic, Meaningful, Miraculous, Manifesting Monday!

How are you delicious lovely?  It feels like we haven’t connected for ages, but in reflection it has only been a month!  But thank you so much for all your wonderful emails, sharing your stories, and asking if the readings were coming back.  They were all read and greatly appreciated!

I don’t know about you but January has been playing with time in weird ways.  One moment it feels as if it was zipping by, and the next moment it felt as if it was dragging on for nearly a year!  (Most discombobulating!)

Tomorrow (February 1st) brings us Imbolc, a New Moon and Chinese New Year, lots of delicious energy to invite you to gently awaken and plant new seeds, and to support you with this I have created a gift for you!  (Think of it as a spiritual gardening guide lol).  

And I want you to ask yourself  – what are your seeds going to be?

What is your Truth?  What do you Desire?  (This isn’t about what your mind says you “should do”, it’s about what your heart and soul are calling you to do).  Those are two powerful questions to ask yourself and then listen to the whispers that arise.  

I love the energy of Imbolc, it’s gentle, inviting and nurturing.  It’s a time of AWAKENING.

Not a TO DO Awaken, but a gentle stirring, a slight flexing and a big stretch. 

From the hibernation of Winter we oh so gently move into the hope of a spring to come, something new and delightful.  From the dark cocoon, we peek to see if things have changed.  

Spiritually, this is a time of new life coming into manifestation. We may only be seeing the tiniest hints of life above the surface but things are really beginning to stir in the darkness.

So come back to the questions – What is Your Truth?  What do you Desire?

It occurred to me the other day that I haven’t written about Imbolc in depth before and so that got things perking and I created a gift for you!

I have named her Fabulous Imbolc (fondly referred to as FI, in honour of my amazing big sister).  

FI will walk you through this delicious energy, invite you to awaken and guide you with a very easy ritual to allow the seeds of your soul to come to life.  I hope you enjoy it.

Imbolc also ties into the New Moon energy that we have.  This is the New Moon that welcomes in a new Lunar Year (Year of the Tiger!)  

This is a time illumination – the illumination that comes with waking up. But this illumination still has a very sleepy quality about it. And your consciousness is still very connected to spirit right now. Your dreams, your subconscious, Spirit – these are all really accessible this month.

Being open to all this spiritual energy can bring up a lot of intense emotion. This is a month of blustery winds & they’re swirling all kinds of things up for us this month.

It may feel really chaotic & out of balance.

Remember to be so gentle with yourself this month. Just observe whatever emotions are coming up for you. Try to ride the wave of whatever changes you are facing.  

“If you want to make some long-term commitments in your life, this New Moon would be the perfect time to set some intentions. Then after Mercury stations direct, that would be the perfect time to take action on them.”

Do you see the theme that is running through all of these events?  I hope so!

Okay, I have chuntered on long enough (if you managed to read this far lol), so let’s crack on with the reading.

FREAKING BEAUTIFUL

You are here to march to your own beat.  You can be happy and free, whether the world looks at you with awe, admiration, confusion or love – or all of these at once.

Normal is not for you.  Don’t be afraid of that!  Deep down you are the good kind of crazy, an individual.  You would never be happy trying to be the same as everyone else!  You have an inner sense of justice and a need to question authority when it doesn’t earn your respect.  This may make some people uncomfortable, whilst it inspires others to think for themselves and not automatically assume that everything they are told is correct.  We need more of this in our world!

You are a free thinker with a different point of view to most people.  This isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you, but a sign of something special – a gift to see and express things differently.  The world needs much more of that too!

Your weird streak is a proverbial breath of fresh air, preventing unimaginative collapse into the boredom of sameness.  It also makes you a divine poster child for others who want to break free from conformity and unapologetically be truly themselves.  It means that you get to dream up your own destiny, and you don’t have to worry about what anyone else has to say about it.  The Universe will support you every step of the way – because it so enjoys you just being you!  

CREATRIX

Your soul is a divine creative fire.  She wants to break free from what has been and give life to something new.  You may experience this as feelings of restlessness, of being confined or as a craving for something more that you cannot quite articulate.  Your soul doesn’t want you to push that new life away.  She wants you to embrace it.  When you let go of your inhibitions and freely express yourself, stagnant situations will be cleared out by the powerful release of your energy, which creates openness.  Let  your inner artist  out to play in whatever way feels fun, raw and honest for you.  It’s time to experience something new.  

You have the need and the ability for creative self expression.  Whether it’s your look, your room, your art, your altar, your journal or your life, you need to be free to let the inspiration within find a way to take shape in the world.  Some ideas will come together beautifully, straight away, and some will need to be revised or released completely, until you feel satisfied by the expression.

Your creativity is most powerful and healing when it is true.  It is not about someone else getting it, or reaching some imaginary standard of perfection or making a million dollars.  The Universe has a beautiful plan for your life.  When we honestly and creatively express ourselves, we are playing with the Universe and helping that beautiful plan to unfold.  

You know that the world created from our hearts is more valuable, beautiful and real than any world created from fear.  Creativity is such a gift; it is worth the price of being different and not always being understood.  You are an inspiration.  Don’t hide your creative fire away.  Let it burn and light up the world.  

ON YOUR OWN TERMS

You are not the person you once were.  You know it, but others might not always be ready to let the old you go so easily.  Do not allow yourself to be shoved back into patterns of behaviour that are not true to who you are now.  You have worked hard to grow and become this new self.  Believe that she is more real than the old you, even if she is less familiar to others (and maybe even to you) at this stage.

All that will change, and what is new now will become familiar and easy for you to sustain in the near future.  Be stubborn in a good way whilst you – and others around you – come to realise that the new you is the real you.  

Others may offer their input, but when it comes down to it, it is you alone making your life decisions.  Your choice may once have been to meet the expectations and honour the opinions of other people – but you are aware now that the best choices for you actually honour your own heart, irrespective of whether others understand your reasons or feelings.

You might have to practice not feeling guilty or selfish about choosing to live your life in the way that suits your soul.  You might have to be patient with those around you who need some time to get out of the habit of expecting you to do as you are told.  It may take some time for them to adjust to the way you are now, behaving and thinking based on your own inner guidance.

You now know that you don’t have to wait for permission.  You get to choose how you want to feel, how you want to live, and who you want to be.  You’re ready for the responsibility and sweet reward of living your life on your own terms.

Last Reading of the Year, Solstice is here! And a Massive Thanks for You!

Happy, Happy, Happy Marvelous, Manifesting, Magnificent, Magickal, Miraculous, Mellow, Magnanimous Monday! And the last reading of the year! (Holy Hannah it has certainly been a year).

Another turn of the Wheel, another cycle of growth, coming to an end.

But let’s be honest – we are blessed to be here!

Think back to who you were a year ago.  The person you were heading into the 2021 cycle.  Think of all the life you’ve lived over the past year.  You’re different now.  

You’ve faced challenges. You’ve had to stretch & push yourself to get through them. You’ve learned things because of them – about yourself, about the world around you.

You’re wiser than you were a year ago.

It has been a long hard year. And now you get to rest. 

This Winter Solstice carries us into the season of deep, profound, medicinal rest.

Resting is your MOST IMPORTANT WORK in the season ahead. Can you make ‘Rest’ the most important thing on your To Do list this winter?? (And for more amazing ways to mark this season of Solstice, The Book of Winter Solstice will help you there!)

I sure am!  With Solstice tomorrow, I am giving myself the time to reflect, nourish my soul and relax.  So effective Solstice I am taking a couple of weeks off and the only “planned things” are prepping and cooking for the homeless on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day, then doing the family dinner on Boxing Day.  

The rest of the time I plan on doing some glorious deep exploration with my soul, unraveling of this last year and visioning for 2022, oh yes, and reading all those books I haven’t had time to! (I am so excited!)

How are you feeling about 2022?  What do you believe it holds for you, or are you leary to even venture down that road?  (Because let’s be honest the last two years have certainly been most “interesting” to say the least!)  

A gentle reminder that the Winter Solstice reading special is still available for a few more days, and one of the readings is working with the tarot and capturing the major energy that will be in play for you personally, in 2022.  (Mine was so accurate for this year it was uncanny). These will be delivered in January.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading.  It was quite interesting today, as I know for a fact I was guided to the 3 cards that should be shared and yet when I laid them out there were 4?????  Ah well, there is a message here that really wants to be shared!  

So when I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide and support this week I giggled when I saw it was The Oracle of Shadows and Light.  With the invitation to walk into the darkness of Winter Solstice and soon to be Winter, as well as the Full Moon.  Perfect!

Bittersweet…Unheard…Unconventional…Rebellious…Cheeky…Whimsical…Invisible.  They’re not the words you often hear associated with the spiritual world, are they?  Nevertheless, some of the most spiritual beings who have ever lived are those who have been most at odds with what we call the mainstream.  They do not fit in.  They have had moments of despair.  And they know being truthful, and being real, is one of the greatest strengths and spiritual paths of all!  They ask you to step out from the shadows, to no longer hide your light away, and to consult with an oracle that acknowledges your individuality and strange genius!  

How’s that for a warm welcome?

So take a moment dear one to just breathe yourself back into your body.  See your heart as a delicious magnet that pulls all the pieces of you back.  Pieces you may have left in the bustle of getting ready for the holidays.  Pieces that may be attached to an old hurt.  Just allow your amazing heart magnet to pull them all back to you, here and now.  

Then when you are ready, listen to the guided visualisation and then pick the card or cards that call to you.

LANTERN FAIRY

This sweet fairy is showing you a way through a barrier you have reached in your life.  This may be in any area of your life – but it does feel that you have come up against a very solid obstacle.  This gentle fairy, with her bright lantern, can take you to a place in this wall that has already come down, so you can move through this obstacle without force or fear.  Your only requirement is to trust this fairy and then to take down several bricks after you have moved through so the wall between this world and the next, your love and your life, becomes slowly less and less solid.  The wall is coming down:  this is the fairy’s role, to help you move beyond the wall.  Trust her.  She will guide you.

Sometimes, people say you should be cautious about where information is coming from.  And that is indeed true.  I am simply holding up the lantern I carry and gently letting you see the likely outcome of the decisions you are making and offering a clear solution to the problem at hand.  Something has come to an end.  A true end, and you have, as they say, hit the wall.  You could try digging under it, or climbing over it, or you could try taking down the wall brick by brick.  But if you follow me, I can show you a place where the wall has already come down, and where you can move through this obstacle without pain.  My guidance is safe, clear, and gentle.  I am here to clear the way and light the path.  It is up to you whether you make it harder than it needs to be. 

Old patterns are being removed, little by little, but will need your trust.  Old shielding against certain energies needs to be replaced and reworked, as it is no longer in line with what you wish for and in fact may be proving to be a barrier, which is keeping you isolated instead of protected.  Trust where the light leads you – go where you can feel true love, kindness, and freedom.  Avoid all that comes from anger, hatred, judgment, blame and ridicule.  

WITCH AT THE END OF THE WORLD

Storms fly about her, electrical whips crack through the heavy air with their bites of fire, and she sits among them, hugging her hourglass, holding everything together till the force creating the change has done its work.  When the Witch at the End of the World makes her appearance to you, you will know that something’s time has come.  There can be no more delaying, for the change has begun.  So the best thing for you to do now is prepare for this change.  Find solutions to challenges that will come up when the change comes.  You will be fine, by the way, and all will be well, but there will be a time of seeming chaos and difficulty.  If you are prepared, and ready to let go and change, and let something end, the little witch’s countdown will not affect you as it will affect others who refuse to acknowledge that changes are coming and become fearful at their inevitable approach.  There is nothing to fear, but plenty to prepare for.  You will be safe, and well, and very ready to embrace the new world.  

I am not wicked, but I am a witch, and changes are made when the world bends and shifts.  I hold this hourglass up to  you now so you know that the time for an ending is almost upon us.  You can see the signs all about you – the strange weather, the hurricanes, the cyclones, the earth changes all about us – but so many simply say I am wicked for showing you this.  They blame me for what they call the catastrophes, and they ignore the signs.  They are with you, and it is time to be ready.  We are all about to experience a huge change – and it will be for the better.  But while we hold on to the old, the storms will blast us, and the land will shift, and self-healing will look like destruction.

There is nothing to be frightened of; only a voyage to weather, and you’ll make it through to the other side of the storm.  The changes are part of our journey to a fifth-dimensional world, of the shift to a more peaceful planet, where shadows and light are loved and accepted.  All is well. 

MEND A BROKEN HEART FAIRY

Here she comes to gather up your heart’s sore pieces and place a sweet bandage on the place that is most wounded.  And this one tender gesture does more to heal you than could a thousand years of therapy.  It’s time for small kindnesses to be received, for you to know that the little gifts of friendship and sweetness are the ones that will assist you most at this time.  

Allow yourself to be treated gently, to be attended to with kindness, and to be hugged.  Allow yourself to accept that this is a time when you need to take good care of yourself.  You are healing, and on the mend, but do not undo her medicine by forcing yourself to hurry up and get over it!

When you have heartache, it is important to treat yourself well: take time away from the flurry of shoulds you are so often confronted with.  Why not take some time to snuggle on the couch with a favourite old  movie, and have a sniffle.  Have a long, comforting bath, and be sure to make a promise to yourself to let close people who are worthy of you and of your love!  It is not about being bitter or guarded, but you are a sensitive and tender sweet being, and some people are just…not!  So now is not the time for harshness.  Soft blankets, sweet dreams, long baths, and a reduction of the harsh energy around you are best.  

Then the Mend A Broken Heart Fairy can fly in to soothe you….. You will feel her presence, and she will lift the pain, until all that is left is sweet, gentle wisdom!

FAIRY OF THE HIGHLANDS

It’s time to be brave.  

The Fairy of the Highlands does not want to fight; she feels it is not in hernature.  She wants to resolve disputes peacefully.  But she will fight if it must come to that.  And she is showing you now that you too have the means to stand up for yourself – even though you have almost chronically avoided conflict and allowed others to take advantage.  

It is time to take up this sword, step into that part of yourself that knows how to take a stand, speak the truth, and not back down when the threat of conflict looms.  It may seem unnatural, and wrong, and frightening, and this little fairy knows it.  But it is time; and this giving up of what you have worked so hard for in order to avoid conflict or confrontation is no longer right.  Take the stand, and hold up the word.  

The time of truce is over.  It is time to speak your truth and be strong.  People have been taking over your ground, wanting what you have worked hard for, without doing the work themselves.  They have done so by taking advantage of your peaceful nature.  But enough is enough.  Sad as it is, it is time to change this, to cut away the cords between you and those who have taken so much, and now you will go into battle.  Yes, it is sad.  Yes, the Highland Fairy is sad for you.  But do not allow sorrow and guilt to neglect self-protection. 

Honour yourself, raise your sword, and do not back down!…………………………………..

Woosah!  Delicious and clear and interestingly enough 2 of these cards have turned up at this exact same time two years ago.  So there is a message there!

Full Moon/Cold Moon, Solstice, BOWS, Joy and a Special Reading.

I don’t know about you but I am getting inundated with emails that are telling me 18 days left of 2021, 12 days until Xmas and a myriad of other things.  It makes me think – do these people think I’m daft?  Living under a rock? Or from another planet?

We can all do the math and figure out how many days of this year are left and as Xmas never changes its date – duh, we can do that math!  Sigh.  To me this creates another sense of stress in an already stressful season, let alone year.  It’s as if the world is going a tad bonkers and fear, scarcity and perfection are driving the unsupervised school bus!  (Terrifying thought!)

This is yet another reason why Solstice (which happens on December 21st) resonates for me on such a deep level.  So for all you amazing beasties who have emailed and messaged asking if there is going to be a Book of Winter Solstice this year (fondly referred to as BOWS), you bet your arse!  It is here and there is an amazing (if I say so myself) guided visualisation that will release the stress, the ties that may be binding a tad too tight and fill your soul.  

Also, in response to “you must do this before the New Year” emails and sentiments that are floating around.  I call bollocks!   To tell me that if I don’t do this or that then 2022 will be a poor year is just preying on fear, and that doesn’t work for me! So I decided to create a Reading Special with two new readings to really help you tap into the energy of the New Year for yourself in a more personal way.

One is, what does 2022 bring to you energetically and how to embrace and embody it all year long.  The other is, as we step into 2022 what is the path and the obstacle for you?  What needs to be released so that your path opens up even more?

So if either of those resonate for you, I am opening up spots for those readings and you will receive them at the beginning of January.  

But let’s get back to talking about Xmas and Solstice.  

The other day someone asked me if I was “anti-Xmas” as I seem to talk more about Solstice. 

Mmmmm, nope.  When my kids were tiny we celebrated both and most certainly Xmas was more of the main event, yet it didn’t feel as if it had a lot of soul in it, Joy in essence seemed to be missing, it was more about consumerism and putting on a front. Also, for me I wanted to rest and hibernate, but it was a time of parties, gatherings and bright lights.  

Here’s an example of how bonkers I was with making Xmas “Disney perfect”, (which was certainly expected by my wasbund).  My youngest (who turns 19 this year), was born on the Winter Solstice (December 21st) and I had to stay in the hospital until the day before Xmas Eve.

What would you do if you were coming home with a 2 day old child to 4 more children two days before Xmas?  Relax? Rest?  Let perfection fly out of the window?  I most certainly hope you would.  

However, one of the traditions that we had was that everyone would receive fabulous, funky, homemade pjs on Xmas Eve to open before they went to bed, made by moi!

So you guessed it!  With a wee babe snuggled up on me I sewed, and sewed, and sewed and dashed back and forth.  20 pairs of pjs were made, cookies were baked, baby and kids were tended and – drum roll please……………………by Xmas day I felt fucked!  

But hey, I had satisfied everyone around me and the societal conditioning of being perfect, and most certainly the conditioning of consumerism.  Yet I felt empty, confused, tired and wondering where the soul in celebrations was.  

Shortly after I chose to become a single mum of 5, and as I was still buying into the conditioning and just exploring my path, the stress level was brutal.

The presents (and finding the ‘perfect’ one that matched the commercials even if it was well over the budget), the baking of a myriad of cookies for a bake sale, finding the perfect tree, making sure the decorations were stupendous, sewing costumes for Xmas pageants, sitting through those Xmas pageants …… and the list went on, and on.  Yup, Joy had left the building with the overwhelm flooding in!

As Goddess forbid I certainly didn’t want my kids to feel left out or that I was fucking up in any shape or form, and it didn’t help that their father turned it into a competition.  (I can see you nodding your head!)  

Interestingly enough after a few years when Finn (the youngest) was about 4, and I was deepening my path, he was adamant that the time up to his birthday shouldn’t be filled with Xmas stuff.  He wanted to celebrate his birthday first and then Solstice.  Wow!  That kicked me in the arse and the game changed.  

On his birthday we would have a party or whatever he chose (normally it included sledding and a snowball fight).  Then in the evening we would turn all the lights off, open the doors and windows and start our Solstice celebration.  A spiral walk, stories told in the dark, then turning up the lights, bringing in a tree we had harvested and decorating it whilst eating Solstice nibbles and laughing our soxs off.  What a difference!  There was soul, there was depth, there were rituals, connection and it wasn’t about the presents it was about the season and the people.  

So no, I’m not anti-Xmas, but to me Solstice is richer, deeper and far more nourishing.  I feel aligned with the seasonal energy. Modern society & the demands we put on ourselves, can keep us from our most important work in winter: To REST.

Too often, we go through winter out of alignment with the seasonal energy: we’re working against it, and it’s creating a lot of dis-ease in our spirits. It depletes you.

This is why The Book of Winter Solstice was created.  To offer a different, deeper and more meaningful way to engage with all that our society and our soul needs.  

Two days before Solstice we have the Full Moon/Cold Moon.  Over in Creatrix Circle we are gathering on this Full Moon to celebrate the Winter Solstice.  

While Nature appears to be dead and lifeless, looks can be deceiving. Deep beneath the surface are themes of rest, renewal, and hope.

December’s Cold Moon spiritual meaning corresponds with Nature’s dormant energy. It’s a time for introspection and soul-searching, a chance to recharge and reconnect. This is a magical season full of transformation and deep internal work.

 Winter can become a time of feeding the spirit and nurturing the soul, not just emptying our bank account and fraying our nerves.

It may seem counterproductive to pause, rest, and reflect. However, remember that your worth isn’t defined by what you’ve accomplished. Use the Cold Moon as a symbolic guide to freeze and hibernate as well. 

Slow down and be fully present in activities that truly bring you joy and pleasure. Before you know it, Spring will be here, so enjoy these quiet moments of rest and solitude.  So why not create a to-do list for this Winter holiday that captures your inner child. What would you like to do to bring more holiday magic to the season?

With so many obligations during December, find time to slow down and read a book you enjoy. With the longer nights and colder days, it’s a perfect time to snuggle up and relax. Pick something purely for pleasure or a non-fiction book that can help you learn something new or change your perspective.

Lol, so there we go, Solstice, Xmas, Book of Winter Solstice, Full Moon and Solstice Reading all in a nutshell!

Okay – now let’s crack on with the reading.  When I sat with all my lovely decks and asked who felt a strong urge to come support and guide us this week as we head into the dark and the shortest day I was tickled to see who hopped up. 

The glorious guides who were adamant are the Sacred Destiny Oracle.  So in case  you have never met them, let me introduce you – and if you have met them before, let me reintroduce you (as not to do so is rude!).  “You have a sacred destiny; we all do.  There is a powerful and profound reason that you are here on the planet.  However, sometimes it may be difficult to understand what that reason is and perceive what is required on your journey into the future.  It may be a challenge to know what the next step in life should be.  This is the time to call upon the energy of nature and majesty of the natural world to provide answers to the heartfelt yearnings of your soul.  In ancient traditions, shamans, medicine women, witches, visionaries, and prophets all accessed hallowed knowledge by observing their natural environment.  These wise beings stepped through mystic gateways into inner realms to bring back meaning to the seemingly random event of life. “

I seriously snorted tea out of my nose when they appeared.  Why? 

Re-read the last two lines.  

Okay darling one.  Please take a moment to just relax.  Don’t worry about if the lights look great, or how you are going to deal with Uncle Tony at the Xmas dinner.  Just BE here NOW.  Take a massive deep breath out first through an open mouth.  Then allow your breathing to find its open delightful, rich rhythm and let your shoulders drop.  As we have just lit the third candle of Advent, Joy, the candle of the animal world.  So what does Joy feel like to you right now?  Is it elusive or is it permeating your being.  Breathe.

STAYING FOCUSED

Be clear about where you are going.  Do not compromise!

Follow your dreams; you deserve the best.  Prioritise your life.  

Once you decide on a direction, hold the course.  Do not veer.  Do what’s important, and release the rest.  Place your intent and passion on one thing, rather than scattering in many directions,and you will be successful.

On the path, it’s easy for the traveler to be distracted by people, events, and even shiny objects.  Do not take any side roads.  Stay the course.

Keep going, no matter what emerges on your path that distracts you.  It’s easy to get lost and forget where you’re heading.  Recommit yourself to your destination.

What you focus on is what you create, so put your attention on what is worthwhile, beautiful, and inspiring.  Refrain from focusing on what’s not working: only focus on the direction you want to go.  

MIRACLES

Just around the bend, a miracle is waiting to happen.  

Release fear and uncertainty, and majestic wonders wait to unfold for you.  

Watch for them and embrace them.  Some come in an unlikely form.  Trust that all is unfolding for your highest good.  Expect miracles in your life.

What is expected tends to be realised.  The more you become aware of the small marvels in your life, the more you will grow in magnitude.  Celebrate and cherish them when they appear, no matter how small they may seem.

What others see as ordinary, you see as wondrous.  Look at your life in a new way.  Let go of fear and expectation, and allow the Goddess to solve your challenges in mysterious and wondrous ways.  

Don’t limit the way you think miracles can appear in your life.  All is well.

FARAWAY PLACES

Stop playing it safe.  

Get ready for new horizons and change in your life.  A journey is coming.  

It might be to foregin lands or faraway places, or may be an inner shift that changes your destiny.  It’s all beneficial.  Sometimes we can feel wobbled when we are not in our normal surroundings, however, you are safe and protected.  Good fortune ensues.

Part of the glory of travel is stepping out of old habits, routines, and the repetitiveness of everyday life.  It can feel daunting, yet in no small way your life is a spiritual voyage.  Change is coming.  Things are not as they seem. There are no wrong turns; every adventure and missed-venture is part of the course.  

You are on a pilgrimage of the soul.  Keep your metaphorical bag packed; some unexpected experiences are ahead.  Be ready for anything.  The joy of travel is that you can begin to experience the everyday as if you are seeing it for the first time.  

Nothing should be taken for granted.

Post Eclipse, When your Faith Tanks and playing the Thanks Game!

Happy Miraculous, Majestic, Musical, Manic, Moodling, Merry, Manifesting, Magickal Monday!

How was Eclipse for you?  

Now if you remember an eclipse  can generate an awareness of something larger, running the show and they poke holes in our ego/identity revealing things within us that we have been avoiding or are totally unaware of.  

An eclipse uncovers things.  Some we want to see and others we really don’t. Lunar Eclipses are like extra potent Full Moons. They illuminate areas of our lives that need to be cleared and swept away. They shine a light on all that no longer needs to be present with us.  They reveal to us where we are holding on too tightly, and where we have to surrender and let go.

So if you have been feeling a tad vulnerable, a bit weebly – it will all be okay!  Just breathe into that space and trust that as you shed old things you create space for new seeds to be sown.

For all my wonderful American friends “Happy Thanksgiving!” I have to admit that I find it a tad odd to have Thanksgiving so close to Xmas, but hey I love to celebrate most everything (ask my kids).  It could be winter solstice, summer solstice, equinox, Full Moon, New Moon, Chinese New Year, Easter, Valentine’s, the sun is shining, the snow is falling – you name it! 

Even simple things like the first flowers of spring, or having gorgeous flowers on my desk whilst it is grey and rainy outside.  Life is a celebration and quite frankly I chose to celebrate as much as possible.

Though to be honest this week, I found it challenging to celebrate as my faith in humanity had tanked somewhat.  

We have had torrential rains and the devastation they have created has been huge.  Towns gone under the water, people homeless, cars caught in mudslides, huge chunks of major roads wiped out.  Many areas of BC took a shit kicking to say the least.

Many people have been amazing, and really pulled together to help each other and those in need, however, the masses – wow.

The masses dropped into “Screw everyone else, it’s all about me” (like the beginning of Covid) and went into a place of panic and fear.  So how did they deal with it?  Panic buying and hoarding!  It has been mind blowing to watch.

A woman with two grocery buggies filled with milk, (just milk), and when asked if she was buying for a restaurant, friends and family her response was “Fuck no, this is for me.”  Line ups at the petrol stations that are over a 100 cars long, in fact so long they are blocking traffic and emergency vehicles and buses couldn’t get through.  A chap with 40 packs of toilet paper!  What on goddesses green earth do you do with 480 rolls of lou paper?  People screaming and being abusive to each other or the employees in stores.  

It made me shake my head and think “A nice cabin out in the woods far away from this is a great idea!”  

I mean seriously!  Did we learn nothing from the onset of Covid, that we are all in this together?  Apparently not.  So I have avoided stores and petrol stations like the plague as the frenetic selfishness and level of entitlement has been too intense.  And to be honest – disgusting to watch.  It’s as if a flock of locusts have descended on all the stores, yet the ironic thing is – There is No Shortage.  Other than the one that has just been created by panic buying.  Sigh.  

So this got me to pondering and on Friday when the Eclipse happened there was a lot of releasing going on. And then I remembered the Thanks game, a fabulous game to play any time of the year, but even more appropriate with American Thanksgiving this week.

Ready to play?

I invite you (no matter where you live) to harness the energy of Thanksgiving and really give thanks for all the pieces that make up your most delicious self and life (yes, even the ones you judge harshly).  

Give thanks for all the various people, places and things that you are thankful for – they could be present day, past day or future day.  List them all in your mind one at a time and as you bring them into your consciousness, smile and blow them a kiss (yes, seriously blow them a kiss).  

See the kiss leaving your hand and turning into a gorgeous gold butterfly that flies off to that person or part of yourself and gently lands on their right cheek and brushes them softly with your blessing, thanks and appreciation.  

I sent so many lovely golden butterflies out to the amazing women in The Creatrix Circle especially as we had our very first Tea Time this weekend which was filled with laughter, sharing and empowering each other.

Now, think of all the people, places, things or situations that you have a challenge with, or that you don’t feel so kindly towards.  Take a deep breath in and exhale. 

Bring them up one at a time in your mind’s eye and blow them a kiss.  This time as the kiss leaves your hand it turns into a delightful little pink heart filled with love and forgiveness and wings its way through the ether to gently land where it is meant to.  

Another big breath in and as you exhale wrap your arms around yourself in a HUGE bear hug and see glorious golden light surrounding you like a cocoon and give thanks for your body, your heart, your soul, your mind and the delicious light that is you.  Big squeeze and as you release your arms gently open your eyes and smile.

It definitely helps in any situation, but especially when stupidity seems to have taken the steering wheel of society!

So with all of that chuntering on, let’s crack on with the reading.  When I went to the guides and cards and asked who wanted to show and shine – the deck that came out loud and proud this week is The Oracle of the Divine Circus.   The reason I laughed is these glorious guides are playful, but deep.  They think outside the box and invite you to do the same.  

If you have never met these glorious guides, please let me introduce you.  “What is life if not a Divine Circus?  Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us a moment earlier.  Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary.  It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd. “

So just settle in delicious lovely. Allow yourself to calm and to just breathe. Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that pull at you.

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea.  But not all blessings are instantly recognisable.  Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development.  A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way.  Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should.  Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

Blessings are the mysterious workings of the universe, there to help us along our unique life path to live our truths and fulfil our potential.  The universe has the knack of knowing just what it is we need, even when sometimes we might think we need something altogether different.  This is how it can be that something we resist and reject in our lives can become the very thing we are most grateful for later on.  We realise it has been a blessing masked, something actually helping us, even though it might have come in the form of a challenge or struggle before we eventually gain great benefit from it.  

The Divine Disguise brings you the promise of peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing.  It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist.  The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet.  It could be a delay or change in plans that runs out to be in your favour, even if at the time you aren’t sure it signals failure!  It could be the wrong person saying no so the right person can say yes.  It could be being blocked from turning back to your past, so you must continue forward to the magic of your future.

Don’t worry.  Even that which appears most troublesome is going to reveal itself to be working in your favour.

DARK HARLEQUIN

Bells are ringing from deep inside.  Something that once had to hide is seeking your attention.  It wants out!  It wants to be free!  As you release what was once shut away, your discomfort shall turn to glee.  You are a spiritual adventurer!  You are not afraid to go to the edge of what you know, of who you have believed yourself to be.  Even when before you lies the darkness of unknown worlds, of undiscovered parts of you, even when you feel uncertainty, discomfort or doubt, you are still willing to figure out what it’s all about.  This fine and fierce attitude gives you a special kind of grace, the grace to discover that you are a living, wild, divinely free and empowered force to be reckoned with in this world.  That discovery sets you free from fear and unleashes you upon a path of loving wild creation and joyful abandon!  

So you’ve come to a place in you, and in your life, where you don’t know.  You don’t know what’s happening.  You don’t know how to work through it.  You don’t know who you are (well, not all of who you are).  You don’t know what you don’t know.  You are at the point of not knowing because you are growing. There will be surprises.  There will be discoveries.  You’ll feel awkward at times, like you are trying to see in the dark.  You’ll wonder if you are supposed to be so confused, if you are supposed to feel like you aren’t sure who you are anymore, or even if the things that once made sense in your life are supposed to seem so fragile, as though life, once thought rock solid, actually turns out to be a house of cards.  The answer, of course, is yes.  Yes, it’s a royally divine mess.  

Don’t be afraid to let there be some inner rattling and rampaging.  You are at a time when you are naturally diving into the darkness for a healing purpose.  So ask the difficult questions.  Do things you wouldn’t normally do.  Experiment with thinking in ways you wouldn’t normally think.  Be willing to let everything change for the better by first letting go of how things are now.  The messier your inner world seems to be right now, the more you can expect complete and utter transformation as a new order comes into form.  Expect the unexpected, for you were born to grow into what is happening now.  

It’s time to let the wild thing within out!

SECRET OF SHINOBI

Shhhhhh!  Can you keep a secret?  It’s time to play your cards close to your chest.  Soon enough, you’ll be ready to stand upon the mountain top for all to see and hear.  For now, let things unfold in the guarded privacy of your inner world.  When the time is right to be seen in the light, you’ll know what is true and what to do.  Until then, be patient, be private, be committed and wait for the right time to shine.

Sometimes being less visible, less transparent, less “seen” for a time is helpful.  It doesn’t mean being dishonest or deceptive, but it does mean keeping your intentions and your truths to yourself until you see the best way to attain your goals.  In fact, the best way to attain your goals might be more of the “iron fist in velvet glove” approach.  You might find that gentle persuasion works far better than direct confrontation, which can unintentionally inflame a situation and trigger defensive reactions in others instead of finding a way to bring resolution.

If you have been frustrated that you are not breaking through into a more prominent position or not being seen as clearly as you would like, don’t worry.  That will -pass and you will be given your time to stand up and be seen at the right time.  

When it is time to show your hand, to reveal your intentions and speak more openly and publicly about what has been gestating, you’ll know it; but for now, let things come together away from prying eyes.  Just for now, it’s time to keep a secret.

Oh wow, positively perfect for this time.  (Seriously, you can’t make this shit up!)  So gorgeous one, sending you huge love, ease and thanks.  I am thankful for you exactly as you are – perfectly imperfect, which is the best way to be.  Be kind to yourself, and remember to play the Thanks game when you need a tune up!  Big hugs and squeezes.

Samhain, All Souls Day, Dia de los Muertos, Rituals and New Moon in Scorpio!

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Mystical, Melancholy, Magnificent, Misty, Merry, Manifesting Monday!  

How are you gorgeous one?  Happy Samhain!  (As in my practice, Samhain goes from dusk on the 31st to dusk on November 1st)!  

This is the Celtic new year, the end of the growing season – the time of Death on the Wheel of the Year.  This is where the past year dies & our lives shift inward in preparation for new life to take root.

This is an extremely powerful & transformative time of year.

As nature makes this final shift inward, and lets whatever remains die on the outside – you are also making this shift. And you have your own things that need to die in order for you to do so. 

This time of year, and this seasonal energy, is helping you discover what those things ARE – the things that you have outgrown, the things you are ready to release in order to continue growing & evolving.

I love, love, love this time of year!  After the fiery intensity of summer it is so nice to move into the watery, reflective, inward and introspective energy of Autumn.  And for me October and November meld together in a delicious way  – inviting me to go deeper, to pull the energy in and push it down to  my roots (as the plants do), and let all the pieces go that need to.  A time of transformation. 

I mean for goodness sakes, if we look at Biology 101 where does a seed transform?  Under the ground.  In the dark, warm earth where it is quiet and nurtured it can then start to sprout!  (Okay I’m getting off my soap box!)

Now I know some of you may be saying “Hang on Jen, isn’t this All Souls Day, or Día de los Muertos.”

You would be correct on both counts!!!  All Souls Day is celebrated on November 2nd and Dia de los Muertos is from October 31st – November 2nd.  So take a moment to think about it – Samhain, All Souls Day, Dia de los Muertos are all about honouring our dead, giving thanks to our ancestors and seeing death as a transition and a time of transformation.  

Make sense?

Thus, I highly encourage you to take some time to sit in the darkness, offer up a blessing to those who have passed and invite in the whispers of your amazing ancestral line.  

(And yes I know our Western Culture can be super tweaky about death).

I have a super easy Ritual of Release for you to try. All you will need is your willingness, some leaves, a candle and your intention. Ready?

This Thursday we have a lovely New Moon in Scorpio and so what does this energy bring to you?  New Moons are about retreating within, and Scorpio energy is also very reflective. We may find ourselves delving into the darker corners of our hearts and minds. We may find ourselves unpacking some of the denser emotions that we have been holding on to.

As Forever shares:-  “The Scorpio New Moon represents transformation and can even be a catalyst if you are in any in-between phases in your life.

When I went to the glorious cards and asked who wanted to guide and support you this week I was delighted to see  The Oracle of the Shapeshifters.  As we are all shapeshifting in some shape or form right now.

If these glorious guides are new to you, let me please introduce them (as that is the polite thing to do)!  “These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you.  Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone.  We change and we change again.  We fear change.  Yet it comes.  For us to fear change is as foolish as winter crying for the coming of spring.  Change is.  Fear corrupts.  These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear.  True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract.  You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable:  You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit.  But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said  yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you.  You are never alone with these beings.” Phew!  So there we have it, are you ready?

Thus my gorgeous one, take a moment.  Just let your breath naturally slow down, relax your shoulders and jaw.  As you start to relax I invite you to see in your mind’s eye the energy of Release.   What do you want to keep?  What feels a tad stagnant?  What messages do you need to hear from your ancestors?  If you need a little more support dropping into that energy I have a lovely little guided visualisation for you.

FIONA AND THE UNICORN

Unicorns help us choose between what is pure and what is polluted.  The unicorns’ alicorn (a spiral horn, holding the divine ratio and perfect proportions within it) connects directly to their third eye.  At this time, many messages are being drawn directly to your third eye, and so your clairvoyant capacity is growing and opening.  This may sometimes be disturbing for you.

You may experience flashes of light at night, as though lightning is striking behind your closed eyelids.  You will be able to see the colours and energies around beings, even see who their guides and etheric companions are. 

With your eyes open, it is likely you will begin to see another world superimposed over this one.  Energy will form shapes around people, objects, plants and even buildings.  You will see colours and energy fields, orbs and entities – you are able to see what once you could not.

For a time this could lead to confusion, disrupted sleep, and a feeling that perhaps you may not be of sane mind.  But this is not true.  The unicorn and I are here to guide you through this time.  The Unicorn will help purify the energy that comes close to you, and advises you to drink a great deal of water as you go through this process of the 3rd eye opening widely.  

You will sometimes feel trapped in a world where  you receive too many visions to make sense of – this will pass, and we will help you through this stage.  Ask us what  you need to know, and we will do our best to translate the images you are seeing – the energies you are able to glimpse so clearly now – into words you are able to understand.  It is not the time to give in to fear and banish this visionary experience.  Accepting it will lead to a great healing and the ability to help others.

TWO KITTENS

This magickal being is holding tight to two beautiful cats; both of them offer her growth in her femininity, independence, and satisfaction on many levels.  Both of them are very young, very tender.  She feels nurturing and protective toward them both.  “How can I put one down?” she asks, torn.  She is being asked to choose between the two, to separate one thing from another, and she is shocked that she must make this choice.  

When this comes to you, tune in.  Ask yourself, your body, what it wants to do.  Make a decision.  You can no longer go on at this point attempting to walk in two directions at once.  And that which you most fear – causing pain – will not happen when you choose.  Cats are about your independence,  your ability to leap high and to make it through many tricky situations.  Choose.  Choose now.  

So are you having trouble making an important decision?  You can’t see which one to choose?  Which way to go?  Both seem equally good or equally flawed?  Hmmmm.  We have come to show you the difference between two choices.  You know you can take only one road at this time, and you know you must trust that that which you leave behind – that which you are telling yourself you are abandoning – will be safe and cared for.  You will make it through this choice without feeling agonies of guilt.  You will.  The Universe trusts you to make the right choice!  

Feel it – you can now choose between seemingly indivisible ways.  There will be a solution to this impossible situation.  

For now, put one thing down and choose the other, or no real growth can take place.

BATS IN THE BELFRY

These companions will teach you how to be upside down in life for a time, to fly against the mainstream views, and to find your way when you can see no way ahead at all.  They will assist you in moving far beyond the cares and conditioning that told you to stay enraptured by limiting beliefs, to remain in thrall of your fear of being different.  The bats and their astounding skills, sensitivity, and talents will help you accept that you must begin to live with even more courage, imagination, and boldness – even when you are misunderstood.  They will show you how, in time, you will become an inspiration, because you choose to live with valour, excitement, and beauty.  The bats’ only question for you now is: What next?!

Others may say you are indeed batty, and this ascendancy has seemed mad even to you at times. The current state has been preceded by a heavy, hurtful climb.  Just  because no one can quite see how you’ve made it to the top does not mean you did not have to climb.  There was no magickal lift, or easy way up – nor did you fly.  But you did follow your instincts, and we, the bats, the ones who can see you in the dark, led you to your current home.  Now you are here, and so many wonders you can see, and so peaceful and fine it feels to be high above it all.  The air is fresh and clean, and you can see just where  you need to go in future.

There will be a time to start the next great journey, but for just a moment, take time and enjoy the wind at your back, the incredible views stretching out before you, and the freeing sense of detachment from the cares and woes of all those who said it could ever be done, that you didn’t have the skills, that you couldn’t climb so high.  You have.

You have done well.  Now take a moment and enjoy the magnificent view and all the wisdom this height can offer you.  See the future directions, see where you made what others call mistakes, and see how those below stay stuck.  And now you need only ask for our help, especially when the darkness falls, and you will find your way to the beginning of another great journey into places that others say it is not possible to go.  It is.  You have shown it to be so.  Now let us take in this glorious view.  

Wow, wow, wow.  What gorgeous guides to help us with the delicious energies of this moment!  So my gorgeous lovely, sending you massive blessings and huge chocolate chip biccies (as everyone needs a nice snack). Remember to be gentle with yourself.  Practise compassion.  Laugh as much as possible and take the time to really step into the delicious warm and welcoming darkness.   Big Hugs and Squeezes!
