What to do with Discontent and how Super Full Moon in Virgo can help!

Happy, happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Manifesting, Majestic, Mischievous, Merry Monday!!!

The sun is out and the sky is blue – it makes me super happy, doobie doo, doobie doo! My pansies are positively perking their little heads up which is a delight to see as I thought that with the bitter cold, massive snow and blowing winds they had perished (as they looked exceptionally sad), but they are rallying and reaching their gorgeous little faces towards the lovely warm sun we have been getting for the last few days. Whoot!

Remember how at the beginning of the month we explored the Shamanic theme of ACTIVATION? How are you doing with this?

The other day I was talking with a client and she was totally bent out of shape, discontent was running rampant through her thoughts and emotions and there was that “itchy” feeling linked to not feeling comfortable in her own physical body. As she shared, it reminded me of what Lena had talked about at the beginning of this month. “Let’s talk about the discontent. There is an aggravated energy that is pushing us towards conflict or breakthrough, new insights and new solutions, and moving us through our discontent and maybe even anger. You must remember to accept this as an important energy that creates the necessary friction for a spark to take place that ignites a circumstance that creates a window for something new to happen and a resolution to be found.”

Okay, so hold that thought about discontent for a moment as we explore the Full Moon.

This month’s full moon is a glorious Super Moon in Virgo, also known as the Snow Moon and she comes with all her glory on Tuesday, February 19th. “This Super Full Moon is potent as it falls at zero degrees of Virgo. Zero is the number of potential and limitless opportunities. Zero is the blank canvas of all creation, signaling that this Full Moon is really going to offer infinite potential. This full moon is going to help us realise our potential and also the potential around us, it is also going to open us, broaden our horizons, and encourage us to open our minds and hearts to something beyond our current reality.” (Read that again, okay?)

“Creativity and inspiration are key words for this full moon and we need to give our imagination some room to play and dream. We can put off the organization of details as we remind ourselves that life is not all seriousness and growth. There needs to be time for the inner child to express through creativity without any attachment to a specific goal.

The needs for expansion, adventure and expression are alive and well and should be acknowledged as allies during this time. Any resistance you have to a little chaos should be let go on an exhale. Take a break, do something fun, give your creativity an outlet and share your gratitude and inspiration with others. With that said, it is also good to make a plan for organizing the details and giving some structure to what comes from imagination, inspiration and creativity.”

Thus, I have an invitation for you. What if you took any discontent you are feeling it and instead of focusing on the discontent you used that energy to really, really fuel your passions and creativity? What would happen? Wouldn’t that be a far better way to utilise it? Now you may be thinking – Jenny, easier said than done, but let’s try a little exercise. Think of those pockets of discontent (with no judgement attached), write them down on the left hand side of a piece of paper. Yes? Now reframe them to a positive and write those on the right hand side of the paper. So for example if an area of discontent were physical body and feeling blaugh and tired – reframe it to something you enjoy i.e. “I love walking in the woods or through the meadows, stretching my legs and filling my lungs up with fresh air.” Capeche?

For myself, one of my passions is gardening and growing things. However, with all the snow we have had and most everything getting cancelled I was getting pretty grumpy about the fact that my inner green thumb needed an outlet to play in. So, on Saturday there was a huge “Seedy Saturday” held at the Convention Centre here, the place was filled with plants, seeds, workshops, bees, honey and you could even rent a chicken! My friend Marja and I went and explored and bought little brown packets of unusual seeds, ogled the bees, picked up literature pertaining to gardening with native plants and I grabbed a huge bundle of lavender that you can cook with. When we got home with our treasure trove of promise we made a plan as to who would grow what and we would share, that way we both ended up with twice as many different plants. We then took the lavender and a shed ton of lemons (which is more than a truck load) and made 9 (yes 9!) lavender lemon pound loaves with a simple syrup of lemon and lavender. Oh My Goddess!!!! Divine, delicious, decadent, delightful and scrumdelicious! So by using the energy of my discontent and funnelling it towards my passion it has set all sorts of wheels in motion and planning galore! (Oh yes, and a great desire to have bees but not rent a chicken!)

So with the divine energy of this wonderful Super Moon in Virgo I invite you to play with the exercise above and when you have finished the reframe, take the left side of the paper (the discontent blurps), light a candle and burn the paper. Offer it up to become cosmic compost and welcome in the intentional energy of creation, activation and inspiration. Are you game?

Okay, enough chuntering from me, let’s dance over to the reading. When I went to my cards and asked who wanted to come support, guide and inspire the Oracle of Shadow and Light did a delightful tap dance to grab my attention. Positively perfect guides for the energy of this week. When I asked the crystals who wanted to join in it didn’t surprise me to see Black Moonstone – a powerful connector to the Divine Feminine, Brecciated Jasper – a wonderful grounding stone and helps with physical strength and vitality and last but not least, Moonstone – mystery, self discovery and the Goddess.

Okay, I invite you to take a moment or two just for you. Breathe in long and deep through your nose and out through your mouth. As you feel your shoulders settle, your jaw relax and your breathing lengthen invite in the question of passion. What are you passionate about? What can you reframe from discontent to passion? Let that energy flood up and when you are ready pick the card or cards that tug at you.

But even she knows she is simply amusing herself and that there is a hole t the center of her being where she wishes she were loved for who she truly is and could rely only on her talent and style to express herself, and not be judged for this. To be her friend is no problem at all as long as you remain truly yourself. Only, being with her has somehow made you wish to be more like her. Look beneath the mask, and the beauty, and the exquisite stylings, and see into her heart. Be her friend, and be her companion, but never forget who you are, and what is important to you.

So my delicious lovely, remember to use the energy of this glorious Full Moon on Tuesday to really focus on what you want to create, to ignite your desires and passions. Ask yourself and your inner wise voice “What do I really want?” Write your list of releases and desires, light a candle – give yourself the time to filter and listen. New Moon, Chinese New Year, Activation Energy, and Imbolc just happened!

Happy Miraculous, Magickal, Majestic, Mellow, Momentous, Mystical, Merry, Mischievous, Marmalade Made Manifesting Monday! (Had to slip Marmalade in as for me marmalade on a glorious piece of fresh bread toasted – nom, nom, nom!)

I don’t know about you, but my goodness the temperature plummeted here yesterday, so it was a tad cold to say the least whilst trying to get 10km in prior to my first Acapella rehearsal! There were even fat, luscious snow flakes and everyone was talking about “the snow” (forecasted 2cm lol). What with the wind and the moisture from the ocean it seeps into your bones (time to break out the long underwear I think!) Well, with that visual imagery in your head let’s talk about what’s happening this week!

This week, oh my goodness there is tons to talk about, tons, tons, tons! (I am so wiggly I would put a Labrador puppy to shame!)

Okay, on Friday we had Imbolc, did you have a chance to tap into Imbolc at all? I have to admit that my energy in the afternoon was that of “not a happy camper”, more like that of “an angry truck driver”, a weird discontent was flooding through. So I used the ritual of washing the floors in my home with rosemary, lemon, geranium and sage to release the old and welcome in the new Spring energy. I then unwound the old energy with smudge and smudged in a new energy, I picked a vase of snowdrops, did some Yoga, made delicious food, lit a fire and a plethora of blessing candles and then curled up in front of the fire and wrote! It was quite delicious! And it helped relieve that discontent and fear energy. Then on Saturday (which many call Candlemas) to lock it in I went “forest bathing” as my lovely friend Renee calls it, which is a phrase I love. I personally call it “green therapy”. So hours in old growth coastal woods, drinking in the sights of huge ferns as tall as me, trees bedecked in bright green moss and a hike out to a glorious point where the waves made the rocks reverberate underneath my feet and the sound of sea lions filled the air (let alone the fat seals languorously flipping in circles in the water). It was absolutely Divine and like a massive soul balm!!!

Shamanically, the energy has shifted for February into ACTIVATION. If you remember December was CHAOS, then January was CLEAN IT UP and now it’s ACTIVATION time. I remember as a kid watching older episodes of Dr. Who with the Dalek’s and when they got all excited they would holler (in robotic voices) “Activate, Activate, Activate!” But what does this shift in energy all mean? I am going to let Lena explain it as she is most certainly the expert on the Shamanic energy:- “It is the energy of a spark, of ignition, of a burst of creativity or destruction. It is a month of passion, friction that causes change, and the adjustment necessary to re-balance and re-group. There is movement and action, and the need to channel this energy constructively for new insights, motivation and productivity.

Emotional discontent fuels the impulse, the friction and the desire for change. It is a time when reconnecting with your passion is not only possible but advisable. What have you denied yourself? The need for adventure this year becomes an ally and the passion mode takes hold. Fortunately, we also have some very grounded aspects that will help tame this potentially volatile energy from frying everything in its path.

Today we have a New Moon in Aquarius! So let’s unpack this a tad, every moon has energy based on the sign that they are in and what type of moon they are. New Moon is a time of planting seeds and Aquarius has the energy of making this a very potent window for manifesting your highest vision for your future since Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, planet of future outcomes. Aquarius calls upon us to develop our ideas so they don’t just remain pipe dreams. “The ultimate goal for this new moon is to activate and free up your creativity so it is important that you move through the irritation and other edgy emotions as quickly as possible and keep your eye on the goal.” Thus, if you look at the energy of this month and it’s all about activation and then work that with the energy of the New Moon. Wowzers! Let’s take some of those glorious seeds of desire, purpose, plenty and passion and give them the nurturing that they need – and watch what happens!

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year, the Year of the Golden Pig! I love pigs and this represents expansion, luck and abundance to those who are patient, honest & reliable. As you may or not be aware, I love to celebrate! So Chinese New Year is a time of filling up little red envelopes with money and distributing them along with oranges! (Yes some of my new neighbours are probably going to think I am totally bat shit crazy when I knock on their door with a red envelope and orange in hand). Red envelopes or hongbao in Mandarin and lai see in Cantonese, are a symbol of good luck and in the Chinese culture the colour red is associated with energy, happiness and good luck. Why the oranges? Two of the most common food symbols of the Chinese New Year are tangerines and oranges. Whereas tangerines represent wealth, oranges are a popular symbol of good luck. … Oranges and tangerines are a traditional favorite, though, and can also represent happiness and abundance, as in an abundant harvest. So why not run around the neighbourhood gifting red envelopes and oranges? We also prepare a gorgeous Chinese feast of amazing foods and spend time eating, laughing and playing games. So yes, I do love Chinese New Year!

Okay, are you paying attention, because in case you haven’t noticed we have received a truck load of energy pertaining to new, expansion, growth etc. What with Activation, Imbolc, New Moon, Chinese New Year. Holy Hannah! If you weren’t paying attention then you might want to. This is the strong powerful energy of burgeoning Spring, a glorious invitation to shake off the dross and heaviness of the winter and to start to re-focus on what is important to you and what you are passionate about. Plant those seeds this New Moon and really take time daily (doesn’t have to big) to think about those glorious seeds that are sprouting and soon going to push through the cold, dark earth like lush snowdrops or bright crocuses! This is planning time, focus time and time to still let winter brush against your cheek whilst knowing in your heart the burgeoning gorgeous energy that comes when we release the old “stuff”, let the darkness get lighter and hold onto the promise of so much growth and manifestation. Do I hear a “Heck Yes!”

When I asked the cards who wanted to come support, guide and lead this week I was tickled to see it was “The Faery Forest Oracle” – will all this glorious “new” and encouraging energy flying around who better to show us how to grow than the Faery Forest. When I invited the crystals to come and play, glorious little Spring like robin eggs surged forth. We have, Chrysocolla – new beginnings, starting over, motivation and inspiration, Angelite – Understanding, calm, comfort, reminds you that you are not alone, and last but not least, Sodalite – the harmoniser, communication, harmony and trust. A Selenite wand which amplifies the crystals and a plethora of snowdrops!

I have created a guided visualisation for you to really see this energy that is flooding in you, around you, towards you and through you. If that doesn’t resonate then just Breathe. Breathe into your toe nails, breathe into the roots of your hair, breathe in all the promises, the blessings and opportunities and sigh your exhale out, letting go of anything that feels a tad sticky or tacky.

THE GREEN WITCH

When you are pure of heart, the whole world is full of potential. And this is the message from this innocent Green Witch to you. She is green as in the fresh new shoot from the seed pushing urgently towards the sun. She is green and connected to the earth, flowing with the cycles of Nature. She is green in that she looks as much to the natural world for company, friendship, and fulfillment as you currently do to fellow humans.

She is your reminder to begin to reconnect to the wild green world, to the faery forests all about you – to go back to a place where you empty yourself of expectations and stories and knowledge and just admit that in some circumstances and at some times, you are as a babe. You are newborn, and in that moment of unknowing-ness, and of admitting and embracing your own powers of renewal, you can finally learn what it is you are here to learn.

Be not so certain, or so experienced when The Green Witch comes to you. Be new. Be fresh. Be unwise, be unknowing. Be innocent. And then the new cycle can truly begin.

How Tight is Your Comfort Zone? Imbolc is Coming! And New Moon is Rising.

Happy Magnificent, Marvelous, Magickal, Magnanimous, Majestic, Major League, Masterly, Matchless, Memorable, Manifesting Monday!!! Why do I have all these M’s? Well to be honest I always thought that poor Monday got a bad rap. How often have you heard people say “Urgghh it’s Monday?” What a weight to put on one little word and one little day, thus last year I decided we needed to reframe it and make it Magickally Marvelous and the Most Magnificent time for Manifesting!

Let’s talk about comfort zone first and foremost shall we? How is your comfort zone feeling? I don’t know about you but for me the comfort zone can feel ohhhhh so deliciously safe and oh so cosy! As a massive introvert (and I don’t like labels) I am more comfy curled up on the sofa with a book, writing, or playing with a doggo than going out with a massive amount of people I don’t know. Don’t get me wrong if they are my delicious friends that I have known for years and I trust, I am happy to go out-ish and hang out. The issue is I moved. So for nearly 4 months I have had to BE and deal with shit that I hadn’t even thought would come up from other people and then on top it all to put myself out there and start making friends? That felt really tricky and the sofa looked far more appealing. Why is it when your 5 it is so easy to make a friend at the playground and you don’t even need to know their full name, yet as an adult it’s far trickier which is interesting as we have “better” communication skills!

Anyhow, with this glorious year being a 3 year – thus one of Joy, Creativity and Renewal I committed to stretching and stretching my comfort zone. Why? Because it felt tight, mundane and to be honest – a tad limiting. So I committed to trying new things, exploring new places and really being present. Good right? Then I got sick. (So snuggling in bed with ginger root tea and coming up with all sorts of excuses, reasons or just bullshit was quite delightful). However, once I felt hale and hearty physically it was time to push the boundaries a tad. Okay, so what do I want to do (and for some of us that can be tricky as we can default to the “what do I think I should do”.) Well, I have always wanted to take a drumming workshop, I have always wanted to explore if I can sing (as old tapes from my maternal advised me that was ridiculous and I had happily bought into that.) I would sing at home, I chant every morning, but to actually sing and have my voice heard by others would give me the screaming hebegebees!

Guess what? I started an African drumming course last week, I went Axe tossing (who knew it could be so fun) on the weekend and I also went to a vocal workshop called “Tune into Yourself and Find Your Voice”. OMG! Amazing, amazing, amazing – all three. Yet it was fascinating to watch my ego “keeper” as I call her chirp up right before every event. “What are you doing? Don’t you feel tired? Why are we doing this, it’s dumb! You won’t know anyone! You can’t drum, throw an axe, sing etc. See the sofa? It’s raining. Where’s a good book?” All that flooded up to the forefront and to be honest last Tuesday (first drumming class) I nearly bailed, but note the word nearly. Last Tuesday I walked through the pouring rain for 3 km to show up dripping and soppy for an African drumming class and I had so much fun playing with my drum and really connecting with the other 30 people that were there and creating something that sounded really good!

On Friday I went and tossed axes galore (and apparently I’m a natural). On Sunday I went to a vocal workshop where I found my voice, my voice to say what I needed to, to sing, to really belt my thoughts out, to meld my voice with others, to really tap all the way down to my root and again I had soooo much fun! (Yet my delicious ego “keeper” was advising me to stay home, stay safe, stay small and have a nice cuppa!)

Now why am I sharing this with you? Let me remind you, this a 3 year – Creativity, Joy, Renewal. So let me ask – what have you wanted to at least try that you have been afraid of? What would nudge you gently out of your comfort zone into something really cool? What would help you find your voice and your essence (and I know both of those are strong in you, or you wouldn’t be reading this).

On top of stretching the comfort zone we have Imbolc coming up this Friday, on February 1st and what does this mean for you? Imbolc is a Celtic festival celebrating the emerging life in the world around us. It’s a time to really plant those delicious seeds, to harness the energy of the 3 year and to really, really commit to growing, expanding and playing. Imbolc means “in the belly of the Mother” because that is where seeds are beginning to stir with Spring. It is the festival of the Maiden, from this day to March 21st, it is her season to prepare for growth and renewal. So what a perfect time to tap this glorious energy and overlay it over the amazing Eclipse energy we have (that is burbling for at least the next 5 – 6 months).

Then, on top of all that we have a delicious New Moon coming next Monday on February 4th, again a delicious time to plant those seeds of intent, the ones that help you stretch the comfort zone, explore your creativity and really tap into Joy.

If you are on the email list, on Thursday I will be sending out a more detailed explanation of Imbolc, Brigid (the Goddess) and some easy rituals. But for now – can you feel the fertility that is approaching? It’s pulsing everywhere, flowers are starting to push up, leaves are gently welling up into buds, seeds will need to be planted. Thus, imagine yourself like a glorious garden – what do you need to push the dross aside and stretch? To really bloom, expand and grow.

Okay, enough chuntering away (can tend to do that as there is so much I want to share with you). When I went to the cards to ask who would like to be present this week “The Oracle of the Dragonfae” jumped up and down. Now, if you are new to these gorgeous guides, let me give it to you in an acorn shell – “Feel their love. Know your power….the Dragonfae are our flesh and soul kin, our friends, our guardians and our allies. When we connect with them, we reconnect with the lost parts of ourselves, allowing us to fully explore the gift of life.”

Interestingly enough, when I asked which crystals wanted to come support, the rocks and the shells were adamant. Which actually if you think about it makes sense. We live on the biggest crystal there is and so the rocks and shells are the bones of what we walk on. They have been here thousands of years and hold the energy and the desires of all who have touched them and the mysteries. Oh yes, and Rosemary (which is a glorious protection herb) and delicious flowers insisted on participating. If you are at all worried they were discarded afterwards, let me assure you Rosemary went in a glorious soup and the flowers are in an egg cup.

I invite you to take a moment, the longer the better, but even a minute of gifting yourself stillness and breathe where the sides of your rib cage push out is all good. Just breathe, and in your minds eye I invite you to see those wiggly, jiggly bits outside of your comfort zone that soooo want you to come play with them, but of course – you’ve been busy and it feels rather scary. Breathe into what they are, give them life, acknowledge them and with them burbling and swooping in your minds eye ask yourself what’s stopping you. What fear, limiting belief or anything is limiting you playing with the wiggly, jiggly bits outside of your comfort zone. Yes? Then when you’re ready, pick the card or cards that call to you.

DRAGONFAE OF REBIRTH

We are the ones who have seen you in those moments you humans describe as dark – the ones you so often wish to run and hide from, the ones you fear because you misunderstand their purpose, the ones you shun. Your loathing of your shadow has sometimes driven you to seek and ending. But a literal ending is not necessary. In every culture on this planet, old and new, there has been a ritual that lets you die to your old self, one in which the wise man or woman is guided through a journey to their own underworld. We too know of this underworld, as we dwell there from time to time, and here we are now, in this underworld, waiting for you to descend in order to be reborn.

Fear not your “dark” moments. For in the dark are the shadows, easeful rest and the deep knowledge of the heart and the soul. In this place the seeds you need to plant can flourish and what you feel are dark and “bad” thoughts are in fact manifestations of the desire to die to the self that no longer feels its true self to be captured in its outside form.

You are remaking your own soulself, and in this magick and ritual endarkenment lie the seeds of your reawakening and your own rebirth. We are with you, circling you and clearing and cleansing your energy. There is no beginning and no end, just the cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Now, it feels like death…but it is a death to the old self…not a literal death. Do not fear. You are about to be reborn. Take heart and know that soon you will feel whole again.

THE MORRIGHAN

I see now that events are moving extremely fast; this is a time of rapid change and creation, so rapid that you may wish to slow down, just a little. However I say to you clearly that the time to act is now; and that procrastination and hesitation are your enemies at this time. I can lead you forward through this time, and help you pick your way through the minefield before you. This is a time of testing and darkness, but through this you will grow strong. Be aware! If you have resisted your abilities, or felt blocked in terms of following your life path, these changes will take place very rapidly because they have been waiting for a signal to be able to come in, and they are working hard with you so you do not have to endure a long, drawn-out process of change. Truly, you are ready. Take flight with me, and know that taking your own path seriously and acting now with deep integrity, is the way for justice to reach you.

Do not give in to panic and do not run. Now is the time. If not now, when?

You have already tortured yourself in a thousand ways with your thoughts. You cannot avoid change; each day your cells renew, and all you have to do is breathe in and out for this process to take place. You are confusing stasis with safety – there is nothing to fear, there is everything to gain. A turning point in your life demands action on your behalf, and backing down or avoidance is not the answer. Draw strong boundaries and claim your space. Face trouble rather than turning away. Confront injustice and change the rules by which you have felt bound. Learn to work with your strength and your own ability to create deep change. Lose fear of your own power. Let your courage feel inspired and know that destiny has given you an opportunity to be the courageous being of action that you truly are.

CHENGUANG

I am Dragonfae, thus I am at once a being of copious laughter, and of earnest and deep study. Being Dragonfae, I know when to put aside my serious work and my mission, and play, laugh and love. I know the importance of devoting myself to the playtime that balances, soothes and heals my heart, and lifts the heaviness that sometimes accompanies my days. Can you do this? Or are you too caught up in being taken seriously? There is a perfect balance between serious, cosmic matters and playful light-heartedness to be found. Both Earth and star are necessary for all of us. We are indeed galactic beings ourselves. But most of all, your hope and optimism is paramount right now. Take heart, for delight and joy is yours.

You are about to experience a true reversal in your inner self: you will now think magickally and attain mastery of magickal consciousness. You still have many experiences ahead of you on your journey, but this energy of the star is now your companion and your divine inspiration.

Word of The Year, Controlled Sex, Sunshine and Smallness!

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magickal, Miraculous, Magnanimous, Majestic, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely!! How did you do with the first eclipse of the season (we have another one coming up next week). Did you take some time to play with planting the seeds of New Moon wishes?

As most of you know, I was sick for a while with the gorgeous bugs that are floating around, and started to surface last Monday and of course decided that in one day I should try and do everything that I has missed out on for a week. Bad plan! It threw me back to nearly square one! Grrrrrrr. Now, I don’t know about you but when I get sick (which isn’t often) it can make me really grumpy and explore some deliciously dark pockets and start to want to hang out with Eeyore!

So last week I decided to actually pay attention and let life unfold slowly and do things that nourish and recharge me and shift my energy. This was a tad challenging for me, as it put me behind the eight ball with readings, coaching and all the rest of things that I love to do, however, the message was super clear – play, rest and self care. Thus, I allowed myself Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to go out into the woods and as my glorious friend Renee calls it “forest bathing”. Slowly I could feel my body start to build up and energy drip in, even though my mind was telling me how many things I “should” have been doing and all the things that were outstanding. But seriously, self care and nourishing oneself is vital!

Part of my self care time was exploring WOTY (Word of the Year) and reading. Now if Word of The Year is new to you, let me tell you it is frigging amazing! I happily released New Years Resolutions and have been doing this for nearly 13 years. Great Jenny, what the heck is it? It’s finding the word that really resonates through every aspect of your being and letting it become your touchstone for the year as you move through work, life, family, exploring and growing. I first learned this process from Christine Kane, and if you would like to download her workbook and find out more about it, you can right here. Can one word make a difference? Heck Yes!

This year, for 2019 my word is “Possibilities”. We are so often taught that there aren’t possibilities (which feels constricting) or that there is possibility A or possibility B – bullshit! As Pam Grout shares in her books – to live and work with the Divine/Universe there are infinite possibilities!!! I am so all over all the glorious and gorgeous Possibilities that abound and not constricting myself to either there aren’t or there are only two! So what’s Your Word of The Year? What calls to you and invites you to be bigger, clearer and bolder?

The other part of my self care was reading and currently one of the books that I am reading is “The Complete Book of Witchcraft” by Raymond Buckland. Fascinating! I love reading about the Old Religions, the ones that have been here for thousands upon thousands of years and then I hit a paragraph the other day that made me chortle and so I’m sharing it with you. As I don’t know about you, but personally I don’t need anyone, or any institution to tell me when I can have sex!

“The early Church was extremely harsh on its people. It not only governed the peasants’ way of worship, but also their ways of life and love. Even between married couples, sexual intercourse was frowned upon. It was felt that there should be no joy from the act, it being permitted solely for procreation. Intercouse was illegal on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; for fourty days before Christmas and a similar time before Easter; for three days prior to receiving communion, and from the time of conception to fourty days after parturition. In other words, there was a grand total of approximately two months in the year when it was possible to have sexual relations with your spouse…but without deriving pleasure from it, of course! Wow! Well that is certainly one method of birth control to say the least! I wonder if all children were born around the same time?

As we are just literally 2 weeks into this New Year and we explored last week that this is a 3 year, one of Creativity, Joy and Renewal and also the energy for this month is Cleaning it Up. There is another facet, this is a Year of Sunshine! Why? If we look at the 19 card in the Tarot it is The Sun card! And as Biddy shares:- “The Sun represents success, radiance and abundance. The Sun gives you strength and tells you that no matter where you go or what you do, your positive and radiant energy will follow you and bring you happiness and joy. People are drawn to you because you can always see the bright side and bring such warmth into other people’s lives. This beautiful, warm energy is what will get you through the tough times and help you succeed. You are also in a position where you can share your highest qualities and achievements with others. Radiate who you are and what you stand for; shine your love on those you care about.

The Sun connects you to your power base – not fear-driven, egotistical power, but the abundant, inner energy radiating through you right now. You’ll sense it in your Solar Plexus chakra, calling you to express yourself authentically and be fully present in the world around you. You have what others want and are being asked to radiate your energy and your gifts out into the world in a big way. Tap into your power and use your Divine will to express that power in positive ways.”

So holy hannah, if you haven’t picked up by now, this is a delicious year and yes, there are shadows and challenges and to really shine you need to be able to see the shadow. But Wowzer, so let’s look at playing Small!

If you turn on the news, read the papers or buy into a lot of the crap that is floating around there is a litany of reasons why you should become smaller and contract and constrict yourself. Right? After all things are rigid and “this way”. There are so many messages out “there” that advise us to become smaller and smaller and take up less space energetically, but what if that is the wrong way to go? What if, instead, we became bigger and bigger and more of our authentic, true, vulnerable, open selves? What would that look like? Life isn’t rigid, if we look at the cell alone it has a wall that is semi-permeable, so it can always change, it’s not fixed. It’s not locked into “this is the way I have to be”. So stay with me for a moment as we briefly glimpse at that – if every cell in your body is semi-permeable and can change with the influences that it is fed, then why can’t you? After all you are this composite of cells that can get bigger and more vibrant and expand. Will you? With the energy that is flooding around for this year about Creativity, Joy, Renewal, Sun, Expansion – are you willing to breathe into the space of playing a bigger game, taking up more delicious space and really sharing who you are? Love more, share more, BE more, talk more, be quiet more, create more, help more……. I hope so!

I heard a fabulous quote yesterday “Love measures our stature: the more we love, the bigger we are. There is no smaller package in all the world than that of a man all wrapped up in himself.”

Read that again please. You are not a small package, you are a glorious big parcel with bows, bells and bedecked like no ones’ business, so how about sharing that? After all, why not step out on the limb of life and be willing to be a little uncomfortable and be willing to play with a lot of living, loving and joy!

Wow, I have chuntered on! Okay, let’s crack on. The cards that danced with delight to come and play on this glorious light filled day are “The Lightworker Oracle”. These are gorgeous guides that connect with divine light, help us accelerate our spiritual evolution and develop a connection with a higher spiritual guidance. Whether you are just beginning or have been on a conscious spiritual path for some time, these guides will help you open up to the unconditionally loving higher spiritual worlds, walk the path of healer, lightworker or spiritual mentor for others on the path.

The crystals that were adamant that they wanted to come play are:- Red Snowflake Obsidian – which is great for bringing things to the surface, Fire Agate – will light up your Spirit, Sodalite – a stone of truth. Oh yes, and the little tiny pansies (with their happy faces) and snowdrops came to play as well. Don’t fret, they are all in a glorious egg cup receiving water and tenderness.

So delicious lovely, let’s breathe into the energy of expansion and being a tad bigger. I invite you to take a moment to just BE and breathe. As you breathe the glorious are in through your nose see your cells, your being, your aura, your dreams expanding and as you breathe out – see anything that is inhibiting that dispel. Keep breathing this way for a few lovely breaths and then when you feel centred, settled and grounded ask gorgeous wise inner self – what would it look like, feel like to take up more space and BE bigger?

SECOND RAY OF WISDOM

The Second Ray of Wisdom is a consciousness of loving wisdom straight from the heart of the Universe. It amplifies the magnetic power of attraction, empowering you to pull into your life ll that is needed for your life’s work. It brings the opportunity to heal, restore and understand through the power of love, and the light of ancient wisdom. The challenge with this ray is that it is so magnetic and attractive, is learning to discern and say “no” when you need to. Being able to trust in future abundance is important. You will not need to hold on to every opportunity, person or situation out of fear of loss or lack. Instead, you are learning to live in true abundance and flow. Practise feeling comfortable in letting go, as well as receiving. Trust that the Universe has all that you want and need in unlimited supply. The Universe will truly provide for you dear child of light.

SEVENTH RAY OF RITUAL, ORDER AND CEREMONY

When the gift of the Seventh Ray enters your life, something new is being formed, something that will benefit your world. There may be an increased interest in magic, ceremony and ritual for healing purposes. Resonating with high frequency violet light and the Archangel Zadkiel, the Seventh Ray also helps transmute energy from the lower to higher frequency. Ritual, Mercury Retrograde, Full Moon in Gemini and Thanksgiving! – Phew!

Hello delicious lovely, happy Magnificent, Marvelous, Magical, Mighty, Manifesting, Majestic, Mindful, Mesmerising Monday! (Have to love the letter M lol). Did you know that in Egyptian writing, its ideogram is derived from the character for water, which explains why it’s so gracefully written. In terms of Roman numerals, it represents the number 1000? I really quite like the idea of the Egyptian ideogram and the letter “M”.

I don’t know about you but for me this last week has been an interesting weave of ups and downs and really having to manage my energy carefully as there has been someone around me who is sooooo self absorbed, rude, narcissistic and an energy vampire – it’s been most interesting to watch and very peculiar to experience. But later in the week, with the holiday season starting to roll in, we will talk about energy management and how to keep yours and mine clear, clean and strong.

The other week a few people talked to me about ritual and what I found interesting was their thought that it was highly complex, time consuming and that you needed multiple “special” tools for it. Hmmmm, I don’t agree with that. Sure you can make it that way if you would like, and there are certainly times that you really want to make it super duper special, but for the day to day it doesn’t have to be that way. So let me share with you how I view and interpret the word “Ritual” and what it means to me.

To me a Ritual is intention made manifest, it’s that place of connection with the Divine, Universe, God/Goddess or however you chose to name it. In other words, a ritual takes an idea, thought or emotion and gives it a physical form in the world. So for example when I invite or suggest that perhaps at certain times there are things that you might want to write down, release and burn – guess what? That’s a ritual. When you sit down at New Moon and write your wishes/intentions out, guess what? That’s a ritual. All it took was a brief moment of time, paper, pen and something to light either a candle or the paper with.

To me ritual allows your body, your cells, you essence to understand your intention. Does that make sense? So what makes a mundane activity into a ritual is your consciousness while doing it. If you are smudging yourself or home, what is your intention? If you are having a salt water scrub shower or bath, what is your intention? When you light a candle every day when you walk in the door, what is your intention? Remember energy follows intention and attention follows energy and actions follow attention. Thus, a ritual can be a celebration such as the upcoming Thanksgiving in the States or it can be a practice which can be repeated daily, monthly or yearly. When ritual becomes a practice this allows us to go deeper, to explore all the various nuances and of course as we all know – repetition leads to mastery (think of that daily meditation, exercise, journaling etc).

Here is an example; since being guided, led and pushed by the Universe to head off on an adventure and move to somewhere that I didn’t know, leave my home, dogs, kids etc and then having the landing being so incredibly bumpy with all sorts of drama llamas playing out. I felt rootless. That is not a feeling that I enjoy, nor one that makes me feel safe, secure and at ease. Thus, when I found my little nest in a gorgeous locale I set the intention of community, connection and roots. Great intention right? However, I took that intention and turned it into ritual and then into a daily practice and made a commitment that I would “do” this practice for 40 days. Thus, every morning I would bound out of bed, rain, wind or shine and I would do a loop into the massive park nearby, down onto the beach and walk by the ocean and when a rock called to me I would park my arse on a wet driftwood log and offer up my prayers, my blessings and whatever else needed to come up. Then I would pop the rock into my pocket, loop back home and drop the rock in a bowl and say thank you. Now doing this has introduced me to a plethora of people that live nearby, I have been invited for tea, had great conversations and have helped two of them with lifting heavy items! Talk about community. Now keep in mind I committed to 40 days and there was no way I was going to miss one as if I did, I had to start again. Well, I didn’t miss a day, nor did I give up at the end of 40 as this glorious daily ritual feeds my soul, my body and my mind. I now have 49 rocks in my bowl. I guess what I am saying is ritual is easy. Set the intention, let the energy follow it, then the attention, but the key piece is action!

Now let’s talk about Mercury retrograde shall we? (No, don’t go running to the closet to try and hide!) Mercury went retrograde on November 16th and this is the last and final Mercury retrograde for 2018 (thank goodness!) Now as the retrograde happened in Sagittarius there is a lot of heat and fire to this baby. In other words with all this hot headed energy flying around, choose your words carefully. Sagittarius loves to turn up the volume and can be very blunt and loud mouthed, thus with the retrograde happening it can make everyone doubly tactless. So remember to watch your words carefully and try not to go dashing down the hot headed rabbit hole that may be sending sparks off all around you – especially if you are celebrating Thanksgiving!

To all my American friends, Thanksgiving is coming up this week and I hope you take time to just BE, Play, be Thankful and Feel. For some people family holiday celebrations can trigger all sorts of stuff, some great and some rather challenging. So remember to take the energy of the Full Moon that happens at the same time and just get clear about how you want to feel and what is okay for you. Energy Management! Okay, I do have to ask what’s with the Black Friday Sale thing? I appreciate a good deal, but I went once to a store in the states on Black Friday and it was insane! People were pushing, shoving, being rude all for $100 off of an item they wanted. Totally terrified me and have never gone to a Black Friday sale in person again. With that being said I do wish you all a marvelous Thanksgiving filled with family, gorgeous food, connection, joy and big laughter and remember Gratitude!

The Full Moon is on Thursday November 22nd and this full moon is in Gemini and called The Beaver Moon. Now what is the energy of this wonderful moon? “The full moon in Gemini delivers the goods in terms of versatility. That’s because this lunation is ruled by none other than Mercury—the messenger of the gods himself. This full Moon is all about action and change. Will you choose remaining stagnant in the cycles of your past or will you be consciously moving forward by enriching your spiritual blessings? As we move in step with the coming end of our calendar year, we choose enrichment of spiritual blessings or remain stagnant in our past.

Suddenly life is moving at an accelerated rate and be prepared to keep up with it during this full Moon until the next full Moon in December. Be flexible and not so rigid with your thoughts or actions. This full Moon is about leaving behind the noose of old habits, patterns and broken dreams.

Here is an appropriate quotation from President John Kennedy who passed 55 years ago November 22. “For time and the world do not stand still. Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future.” Think on this quotation.

What has been cannot be changed and it is time to let it go, while we lean forward to embrace all that lies ahead.

The lesson, energy and influences of this full Moon helps us to create a new legacy and to finally free ourselves from all obstacles, barriers and blocks that prevent our individual prophecy and birthright.”

Well that is certainly an interesting Full Moon to accompany Thanksgiving don’t you think?

The cards that wiggled and giggled to come support this week are The Divine Circus Oracle, which made me laugh and nearly snort tea out of my nose! Of course they would come, especially as we may be rubbing up against people that we love but sometimes find quite challenging to be around. Now, if you have never worked with this deck before let me give you a brief introduction – “This deck is for those who find it hard to follow rules, conform, bend to authority and generally ‘do what they are told.’ May your rebel heart always be bold. May your spirit always be free. My you remember to live the Divine Circus and have fun doing things the way you aren’t supposed to, whilst living your most creative and unique divine destiny.” The crystals that came to play are the ones from the beach, the gorgeous rocks that I pick up every morning and bring home to their beautiful bowl. Thus, I invite you to take a pause and a moment for yourself. Just BE and as you breathe in a lovely deep breath resonant with giving Thanks/Gratitude and as you breathe out through your open mouth release the past, the old, the worry and tension. Breathe like that for a few lovely, luscious breaths and when you are ready ask for the guidance that you need this week and then pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

CROWN OF THE BUTTERFLY BAMBINI

Just as nature imbues the butterfly with an innate ability for radical transformation, so too do you have natural instincts within, guiding you to grow in dramatic, utterly life-changing ways. Progress is your perfection. Growth is your attainment. Do you shun what you have been or mistakes you have made? Or instead, do you wear your ability for transformation as a sacred crown of power?

Transformation is an ability, an art, a sacred power. It requires an ability to go through the death of an old self, to be reborn again. That death might be an identity, a lifestyle or career, or an inner sense of self that no longer seems enough to truly reflect who you are becoming.

It requires both strength and flexibility, to be like bamboo, to bend without breaking. Are you willing to let go of what you have known, who you have been, without judging it, except to understand that you are outgrowing your past and becoming your future in this very moment? This takes great courage whilst flexibility of mind allows you to believe there are other possibilities in this life beyond what you have already experienced. The strength gives you enough courage to bear the loss of the known and the terror of the unknown, perhaps even turning that terror into excitement for what may be.

Don’t dream small dreams, for you are capable of far more dramatic and colourful creations. Trust in the magnificence of what you are becoming, the expression of the transformational intelligence and power within you.

DATE WITH DESTINY

Out of the ethers and into your life, she arrives now because you have a date with Destiny. She is a mysterious creature; her ways are wild and her guidance is true. She may create chaos from which a new order can emerge, but there is no need to fear. She has come to inspire, uplift and direct you.

A date with Destiny is a big deal. It is the moment when you realise there is something helping you out, something intelligent, powerful, wise and, no matter how empowered you are, something even more powerful than your own efforts. All bets are off! Nothing is held sacred and anything can happen. If you are a control freak, this will probably scare you witless! You need to trust Destiny’s interventions on your behalf, even if her work seems to be causing your best intentions to go astray. Trust or go mad because you cannot control her. And you do not need to! Your divine destiny is your best life. It is you in the fullest and most beautiful creative expression possible. It is what you want and need, even when you don’t immediately realise it, even when that is rather different to what you once thought you wanted and needed.

The Universe has heard the prayers in your heart, and life is going to answer them by rearranging what needs to be rearranged to sort out whatever has been troubling you. Make sure you let it happen. The more you allow yourself to trust in her, the more you will realise that the universe is working with you, rather than against you, and if you are willing, it will show you the time of your life!

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea. But not all blessings are instantly recognisable. Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development. A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way. Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should. Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

Blessings are the mysterious workings of the universe, there to help us along our unique life path to live our truths and fulfil our potential. The universe has the knack of knowing just what it is we need, even when sometimes we might think we need something altogether different. This is how it can be that something we resist and reject in our lives can become the very thing we’re most grateful for later on. We realise it had been a blessing masked, something actually helping us, even though it might have come in the form of a challenge or a struggle before we eventually gain great benefit from it.

The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet. But trust and have peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing. It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist. There is no need to worry, even that which appears to be most troublesome is going to reveal itself to be working in your favour!

Think of the things that you do that nourish you, whether it is playing music, lighting a candle, going for a walk under the trees and give it the energy of a ritual. In other words, set an intention, let the energy follow it make it a conscious action. Also, no matter if you are in the States and celebrating Thanksgiving or live somewhere else, play with the energy of this wonderful Full Moon and give thanks and bless everything that is in your life. In my morning practice I always say “ I bless everything I have and I bless my increasing good and good fortune” and then I start listing them. So I might say “I bless my bed and the cosiness of it and I bless my increasing good and good fortune, I bless the sun filtering through the autumn leaves and I bless my increasing good and good fortune.” Yes? Give it a try and really think of everyone and everything that could do with a blessing. At the full moon take some time to write down the things, or aspects, that you are ready to release, then burn the list and allow it to become compost. Play with it and see how you feel.
