Spring Equinox, Super Full Moon in Libra and an Offering!

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magickal March Monday! There is so much to natter about this week it’s fabulous! We have the glorious Spring Equinox, Super Full Moon, Why Ritual is important and an Offering. Many of you have been reaching out and asking if I am going to offer a Spring Equinox special on private readings. Originally, I hadn’t thought I would and then I perked it a bit more and yes, two of the readings will be on offer for one week, thus, from today until next Monday March 25th, as I so want to help you set your seeds of intention for Spring and the next 6 months until Fall Equinox! Okay, seriously, who doesn’t want to celebrate Spring? As a kid Spring time was filled with woodland flowers and baby lambs popping out everywhere and bouncing like mad fiends over the grass. Thus, I think that really nailed down the fact that I love Spring Equinox! When I did this reading, there were glorious birds in my bird feeder, the weather was gloriously warmer and as I walked around the garden I could see the shoots pushing up! Everything is starting to reach, expand and grow!

After a wet, gray winter, the idea, the knowing and the full Trust that Spring is going to come is amazing. To me it is about NEW. New plants, new ideas, new ways of moving in the world and releasing the blaugh. Spring Equinox (also known as Ostara), after the goddess Eostre is a fertility holiday, which celebrates the resurgence of life with such symbols as rabbits, cute little chicks and lambs (seeing any similarity to Easter symbols?)

Spring Equinox is the second of the four “sky points” in the Wheel of the Year, and is a time of balance, it is when the sun does a perfect balancing act in the heavens. In other words, the sun rises exactly in the East, travels through the sky for 12 hours and sets exactly in the West. Thus, all over the world, day and night are of equal length. For us in the Northern Hemisphere we know from this moment forth there will be more light than there is darkness, and growth will reign triumphant over death. (For those in the Southern Hemisphere it is Fall Equinox, a time of harvest and getting ready for Winter and a gentle letting go of the light to fold in and cocoon).

This is a time when the goddess is the Maiden in all her youthful glory, the god is reaching manhood, and energy abounds. So why not tap into that energy to bring the light into your own darkness, if you have any? For example spring cleaning is not just about your home, it’s about removing old or negative energies accumulated over the dark winter months to prepare you for glorious growth. It’s about planting seeds of intention, seeds of growth, seeds of food – it’s about shedding that heavy winter coat and picking up something a tad lighter and a bit more fun. If you are on the email list I will be sending out more information about Ostara on Wednesday with a lovely ritual, a grounding exercise to connect you to the earth and a guided visualisation to mark the day! So if you haven’t signed up and feel inclined, please do.

I often get asked how to “do” rituals and why are they important. To me a ritual is intention made manifest, it’s that place of connection with the Divine, Universe, God/Goddess or however you chose to name it. In other words, a ritual takes an idea, thought or emotion and gives it a physical form in the world. So for example when I invite or suggest that perhaps at certain times there are things that you might want to write down, release and burn – guess what? That’s a ritual. When you sit down at New Moon and write your wishes/intentions out, guess what? That’s a ritual. All it took was a brief moment of time, paper, pen and something to light either a candle or the paper with. When you consciously put your crystals into the moonlight, on fresh dirt or in a bowl of salt water and whisper a blessing over them – that’s a ritual. When you gather various herbs together, cast a circle of salt, call in the directions, offer up a spell or prayer – that is ritual. Are you with me?

To me ritual allows your body, your cells, you essence to understand your intention. Does that make sense? So what makes a mundane activity into a ritual is your consciousness while doing it. If you are smudging yourself or home, what is your intention? If you are having a salt water scrub shower or bath, what is your intention? When you light a candle every day when you walk in the door, what is your intention? Remember energy follows intention and attention follows energy and actions follow attention. Thus, a ritual can be a celebration such as the upcoming Thanksgiving in the States or it can be a practice which can be repeated daily, monthly or yearly. When ritual becomes a practice this allows us to go deeper, to explore all the various nuances and of course as we all know – repetition leads to mastery (think of that daily meditation, exercise, journaling etc).

On April 1st I am opening registration to the Pracktical Magic course and community where we will go deeper into rituals and and a myriad of other things, but more on that later!

On Equinox we also experience the Super Full Moon in Libra (also known as the Worm Moon!) Why the Worm Moon? It’s called this because the earth is thawing and robins are greedily pulling up lovely fat earthworms and gobbling them down! (Now if that doesn’t conjure up the image of Spring for you, lol!) Here is some lovely information from Forever Conscious about this Full Moon. This glorious Super Moon falls at zero degrees of Libra. Having a Super Moon at zero degrees is extremely potent and represents a wave of new potential. The fact that this Full Moon also falls around the same time as the Equinox enhances this energy, and brings new beginnings and fresh starts. This Full Moon is going to supercharge us. It is going to awaken and revive us. It is going to help us find new inspiration and joy for life. We are going to feel a push forward, and we are going to feel excited about the journey to come. Can you feel it? Can you feel the energy beginning to surge and inviting you to move forward (or I like to think of it as Springing forward)!

When I went to the cards and asked who felt impelled to guide this week and help us with the gorgeous Spring Equinox and Full Moon energy I was surprised to see the Oracle of the Shapeshifters. For a brief moment I was perplexed as to why they were adamant to come and guide and then I remembered and nearly laughed my soxs off! If these glorious guides are new to you, let me please introduce them (as that is the polite thing to do)! “These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you. Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone. We change and we change again. We fear change. Yet it comes. For us to fear change is as foolish as winter crying for the coming of spring. Change is. Fear corrupts. These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear. True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract. You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable: You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit. But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you. You are never alone with these beings.” Phew! So there we have it are you ready?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come and play are Apatite, Angelite and Chrysocolla. And of course with Equinox just days away the lovely Spring flowers wanted to participate, so we have a cheerful pansy, a dashing daff and a gentle grape hyacinth! (Who could ask for anything more).

Ready? I invite you to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few deep, long breaths. As you breathe see in your minds eye gorgeous roots pushing down into the earth as it warms, connecting, grounding and supporting. Breathe this way for however long you have and when your shoulders have relaxed away from your ears and your jaw is loose pick the card or cards that resonate for you at this time.

A LOYAL GUARDIAN

This sweet faery being holds within her arms a fierce, loyal, and very strong Rottweiler who will keep all predators and bullies at bay. He is unwaveringly devoted to protecting his faery friend – and to to protecting you. The Loyal Guardian is so powerful that he is unable to be hurt, and he will stand guard and watch, growl at, fight, and even kill any who attempt to harm you at this stage. There is fierce, protective magick surrounding you or another one with you who is fragile.

Think of yourself as a newborn: Babies are at their most vulnerable after transitioning from the sea of the womb to the world of breath and air. You are making a huge change, and this makes you vulnerable When you are rebirthing, changing your life, you need mentors and strong, calm guardians to assist you in moving into a world that seems full of danger. With my steadfast, calm, confidence, you will be safe. You can face the changes and the threats without becoming overwhelmed or rushing back to the familiar, less sensitive state because it seems safe.

You will have with you energetically at this time a very protective guardian. There may be some new people or situations in your life that make you feel threatened, uncertain, and uncomfortable. This wariness has been noted, and this shapeshifter in the form of a large, devoted, and very powerful companion will be at your side, sniffing out danger, sounding an alarm at any threat, even readying to fight for you, should it come to that. If there has been bullying or behaviour that has intimidated you, you have someone on your side who will not let you down and who will not let you face this alone.

DEEP DARK SEA MERMAID

This mysterious magickal companion will help you to find out what lies beneath the stories and beliefs you hold. THE DELICATE FAERY AND HER FERRETS

Sometimes the transition between one cycle or stage and another is easy, fluid, flowing, and smooth. At other times it is rough, harsh, cruel, and painful. It is inevitable that, if we are truly alive, we will experience discomfort and challenges when confronted by the unfamiliar. This is no curse – it is evidence of wisdom being taught to us.

We change. We alter ourselves. We adapt. We choose. We become. You are now being shown a way and the gifted magickal tools to strengthen yourself while you develop your skills. You are also being sent a trusted companion to guide you through the deep forests of change. You feel very vulnerable, and there is fear in your heart. But why would there not be? Life is full of transitions, shifts, and epic moments when we can choose between our best self and the tired, conditioned, most often deflated self. In these time of change, there is no map, no guidebook, no previous knowledge to comfortably fall back on.

One cycle has ended. When a cycle changes or when we choose to create change courageously be challenging our limited self-beliefs, questioning our attachments to “truths”, or releasing our attachment to the way in which our lives “should” manifest, we are, either by choice or by contract, undergoing an initiation. A new friend, advisor, or piece of information will empower you. You must now shift the focus from what you fear to what you wish to become and face what it is that is frightening you needlessly.

It will not kill you. It might hurt a bit, but results will make it worth it!

New Moon in Pisces, New Energy, Mercury Retrograde and Practical Magic Abounds!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Manifesting, Majestic first Monday of March! That’s right, March is here and Spring Equinox is coming (I’m so excited I love, love, love Spring Equinox). I find it so fascinating that even if I didn’t know what day or month it was my body let’s me know, I can literally feel the Spring energy welling up and my mind has been filled with creating and planting seeds to harvest in the Fall. Quite fascinating. In fact, one project that I have started is designing and creating a glorious garden and the minute I started sketching it out I found a massive Buddha head statue and 3 crazy cat statues on the side of the road! More on that next week once I get it figured out, let me just say it will be a magickal garden with Hawthorn’s, herbs and Big Intent!

Before we explore all the amazing deliciousness that is happening, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who have been writing and messaging me with regards to exploring the moons, equinoxes, rituals and seasons in more depth. That got my juices burbling last week and my amazing magickal guides hopped into the mix and gave me an incredible download. Thus, all being well, I think we will have created something for you by the Equinox. Stay tuned!

Okay, let’s look at what is burbling. First we have a new energetic theme for the month, Second, we have a glorious New Moon, and last but not least we have Mercury Retrograde! (No, running for the closet, it’s all good – quite magickal in fact.)

March is bringing us some glorious new energy! Shamanically the theme for this month is Next Step. If you remember January was Clean it Up, February was Activation and March is Next Step! Are you ready?

Let me share what Lena has to say:- “ In taking that “next step”, we are also dealing with anxiety, fear, confusion and trusting the unknown. We exit the month of February with lots of bits and pieces on our plate. Some are clear, some make no sense, some fit the puzzle, some don’t, some have come out of the blue creating sudden change, and some feel like road blocks with no clear solution……yet. There will be those of you that begin this month in a slight state of overwhelm and anxiety. Others will be excited about the possibilities and ready to launch into that next step. A lot was put into motion last month and some of it is just beginning to manifest.

The “next step” is on everyone’s mind. We all know that we are moving forward in some way. Some of you know exactly what that is and are chomping at the bit to get there already. But for many there are still unknowns, loose ends and gaps in clarity that may be producing anxiety, worry and fear. We know we are going somewhere, creating something new, we just do not have all the parts together yet, and the fear is that we will fail or be disappointed and unsuccessful in reaching our goals.

As we evolve, we are inevitably moving into a higher octave, a higher vibration, the upper room. But our fears are holding us back as we cling to what we know, as unsatisfying as that may be. There is no stopping the evolutionary process. It is like telling your hair or fingernails not to grow. The more you cling and hold back, the greater the possibility you will end up in depression and despair with blocked creativity and a feeling of stagnation.” You can read more about this energy at her site.

We have a glorious New Moon on Wednesday 6th and this New Moon is in Pisces which invites us to expand and illuminate or be held back by our shadow side. This is a moon from the transcendental realms. It holds the promise of a re-birth. It has a quality of merging the spiritual with the material. This is a moon to manifest the dream. However, its negative expression could mean among others, a lack of will, not clear intentions and non-clarity in emotions. It could mean harboring unrealistic expectations from ourselves, subdued will or lessened vitality. Which route would you rather pick? Personally I like the former far more! So most certainly take some time on Wednesday, light a candle and write out your New Moon wishes. If you are stuck as to how to do this, check out the post on New Moon wishes here.

Added to the energy of Next Step and the delicious New Moon in Pisces we have Mercury Retrograde! Whoot, whoot! (Can you say, hold onto your bloomers?) This is the perfect time to really take the time to investigate some of the leftovers from the past. Now what do I mean by that? Let’s say every time you think of your sister there is a resentment about something she did or didn’t do. Therefore this resentment is taking up space in your head and heart, holding energy blocked instead of allowing it to flow. Time to let that puppy go and welcome your own energy back clear, clean and fresh. So if you experience any “tweakiness” during this retrograde take a moment to look at if it’s coming from outside of you or from inside. If it’s yours and it’s holding old energy that can be better used in the present day. Let it Go!

Can you say it is a yummy delicious time for creating and manifesting? Huzzah!

When I asked the cards who wanted to be your guides this week the glorious Isis Oracle were adamant to come and be front and centre. This is quite interesting as normally Isis doesn’t participate in “public readings”. Have you ever asked who Isis is? Goddess of the Skies, Magick and Wisdom are just a few of the titles she is given. Let me take a moment to introduce you to this lovely deck – “You are a powerful Soul and you are awakening. Your thoughts, feelings and inner world is changing, and so too is your outer world. When a Soul is growing in power and strength, it can benefit from guidance to help make the path into new way of being in the world that much easier. Isis offers Her wisdom and guidance to you to assist you at this time of spiritual growth and transition. She loves you, and wants you to shine and be your radiant self, filled with power and wisdom.”

The crystals that insisted on participating are Malachite, Rhodochrosite and Chrysocolla. Oh yes, and the little mollusks and shells wanted to participate as well! So let’s begin shall we?

Take a moment to breathe yourself back into your body, feel your feet on the floor and your spine lengthening to the sky. Breathe into all the little hidden corners that sometimes get forgotten. As you breathe ask the question of what is your next step. Just breathe that in and let it settle in your minds eye, and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

INITIATION

When you are being spiritually initiated into the mysteries of light, love and power, there are moments of deep challenge. The key is to find the light within the challenge – the learning, growth or wisdom that can be summoned to turn the challenge into an opportunity for healing. Initiation will occur at various stages. Sometimes your entire life will feel like an initiation, at other times specific areas will be flowing easily whilst others re deeply challenging. Please know you are not needlessly suffering. If you can find the light within the struggles, tests or challenges that face you now, you will experience breakthrough healing.

As an Initiate, honour life as a gift and treat any challenge or pressure as a way for you to grow into a brighter and purer light capable of great spiritual service on this planet. That spiritual service includes growing an ability to be able to love freely and beyond limits, to love with courage and faith.

In fact initiation for you now, dear one, is an opening to new levels of power and peace, self-possession and love. There are such sweet fruits waiting for you at the top of the tree you are currently climbing. It may seem as though you are in barren land at times with little hope, nourishment or encouragement, yet your spiritual oasis is not far away! The Lady Isis and the Power of Ra together are helping you grow. Stay focused on the Lady and Her love for you and you shall pass through the desert of the Initiation unharmed and deeply transformed.

STAY TRUE AND BE IN YOUR POWER

The Flail and Crook, often held by Osiris, are symbols of Divine royalty and dominion. These symbols remind us that within we hold great dominion, spiritual authority and freedom to be the sovereign ruler of our own Self. This does not mean that we have to control life or others or even the environment around us, but it does give us complete and utter choice to become as spiritually awake, free, and self-determined as we wish to be, as well as providing us with complete choice as to what our values and actions will be this lifetime.

There is no permission required from anyone, apart from yourself, to be and live your truth! There are many voices that will test you on the journey from illusory shackles of fear, loss or abandonment that may hold you back or tempt you into giving your power away to others. You shall awaken from the testing into the realisation of spiritual independence within.

You have the power to create and own your reality and you don’t need permission from anyone else to do this. Honour your spiritual sovereignty, let the lady Isis help you find your spiritual authority and freedom of choice now. Seeking to hand over any responsibility for your own well being to another can be a tricky and ultimately self-destructive path, even though it may seem to start off as a relief of stress about some concern or other. You are guided to exercise care and discernment about any issue that feels like it is compromising your sense of self and personal power. That issue is a Soul healing trying to happen. Look within and see if you can grow through it in some way. There is much self-confidence trying to emerge from within you!

MAGICK AND RITUAL

Effect in the external world can be created through inner practice. Magick and Ritual can support your Divine Path now in the physical world and you are encouraged to enhance your power with regular practice. The results that you experience will encourage you to continue with the practice as you grow in power, grace, love, ability and wisdom, and apply your inner beauty to transform your outer world.

For us to grow empowered and potent on the Path of Ancient Feminine Power we need to honour our knowing and being and cultivate sacred practice. Sacred practice become the habit of growing our spiritual power and consciousness. Like a garden needing regular care and watering to blossom and flourish, our inner garden of the Soul, where our creativity, joy, spiritual gifts and bliss bubble away, also needs regular attention. Coming to our practice takes strength and inner will – even though it can feel amazing, we still have to wake up, set aside time and discipline ourselves to show up for our own inner growth. We will reap the benefits when we do, but we must allow ourselves to fall in love with our practice, to craft something that really speaks to us, so that we want to do it. The desire and the discipline together help us engage with our practice regularly and we can grow so fast it can be quite shocking!

You have great power and wisdom within you, but you need to provide channels for it to flow and be active and empowered in your physical life. Sacred Practice is such a channel. Without these channels, the ego is left to create on its own which is not much fun at all! The ego believes in fear and separation and no matter how much it may want to feel love, bliss, connection, joy and fulfilment, it really cannot do it without your spiritual presence in life. Ritual and Magick, as a form of sacred practice, are recommended for you as a way to bring more spiritual presence into your waking life, to heal and support the ego as you learn to create a life that feels better and brings you and others more fulfilment.

Ritual, Mercury Retrograde, Full Moon in Gemini and Thanksgiving! – Phew!

Hello delicious lovely, happy Magnificent, Marvelous, Magical, Mighty, Manifesting, Majestic, Mindful, Mesmerising Monday! (Have to love the letter M lol). Did you know that in Egyptian writing, its ideogram is derived from the character for water, which explains why it’s so gracefully written. In terms of Roman numerals, it represents the number 1000? I really quite like the idea of the Egyptian ideogram and the letter “M”.

I don’t know about you but for me this last week has been an interesting weave of ups and downs and really having to manage my energy carefully as there has been someone around me who is sooooo self absorbed, rude, narcissistic and an energy vampire – it’s been most interesting to watch and very peculiar to experience. But later in the week, with the holiday season starting to roll in, we will talk about energy management and how to keep yours and mine clear, clean and strong.

The other week a few people talked to me about ritual and what I found interesting was their thought that it was highly complex, time consuming and that you needed multiple “special” tools for it. Hmmmm, I don’t agree with that. Sure you can make it that way if you would like, and there are certainly times that you really want to make it super duper special, but for the day to day it doesn’t have to be that way. So let me share with you how I view and interpret the word “Ritual” and what it means to me.

Here is an example; since being guided, led and pushed by the Universe to head off on an adventure and move to somewhere that I didn’t know, leave my home, dogs, kids etc and then having the landing being so incredibly bumpy with all sorts of drama llamas playing out. I felt rootless. That is not a feeling that I enjoy, nor one that makes me feel safe, secure and at ease. Thus, when I found my little nest in a gorgeous locale I set the intention of community, connection and roots. Great intention right? However, I took that intention and turned it into ritual and then into a daily practice and made a commitment that I would “do” this practice for 40 days. Thus, every morning I would bound out of bed, rain, wind or shine and I would do a loop into the massive park nearby, down onto the beach and walk by the ocean and when a rock called to me I would park my arse on a wet driftwood log and offer up my prayers, my blessings and whatever else needed to come up. Then I would pop the rock into my pocket, loop back home and drop the rock in a bowl and say thank you. Now doing this has introduced me to a plethora of people that live nearby, I have been invited for tea, had great conversations and have helped two of them with lifting heavy items! Talk about community. Now keep in mind I committed to 40 days and there was no way I was going to miss one as if I did, I had to start again. Well, I didn’t miss a day, nor did I give up at the end of 40 as this glorious daily ritual feeds my soul, my body and my mind. I now have 49 rocks in my bowl. I guess what I am saying is ritual is easy. Set the intention, let the energy follow it, then the attention, but the key piece is action!

Now let’s talk about Mercury retrograde shall we? (No, don’t go running to the closet to try and hide!) Mercury went retrograde on November 16th and this is the last and final Mercury retrograde for 2018 (thank goodness!) Now as the retrograde happened in Sagittarius there is a lot of heat and fire to this baby. In other words with all this hot headed energy flying around, choose your words carefully. Sagittarius loves to turn up the volume and can be very blunt and loud mouthed, thus with the retrograde happening it can make everyone doubly tactless. So remember to watch your words carefully and try not to go dashing down the hot headed rabbit hole that may be sending sparks off all around you – especially if you are celebrating Thanksgiving!

To all my American friends, Thanksgiving is coming up this week and I hope you take time to just BE, Play, be Thankful and Feel. For some people family holiday celebrations can trigger all sorts of stuff, some great and some rather challenging. So remember to take the energy of the Full Moon that happens at the same time and just get clear about how you want to feel and what is okay for you. Energy Management! Okay, I do have to ask what’s with the Black Friday Sale thing? I appreciate a good deal, but I went once to a store in the states on Black Friday and it was insane! People were pushing, shoving, being rude all for $100 off of an item they wanted. Totally terrified me and have never gone to a Black Friday sale in person again. With that being said I do wish you all a marvelous Thanksgiving filled with family, gorgeous food, connection, joy and big laughter and remember Gratitude!

The Full Moon is on Thursday November 22nd and this full moon is in Gemini and called The Beaver Moon. Now what is the energy of this wonderful moon? “The full moon in Gemini delivers the goods in terms of versatility. That’s because this lunation is ruled by none other than Mercury—the messenger of the gods himself. This full Moon is all about action and change. Will you choose remaining stagnant in the cycles of your past or will you be consciously moving forward by enriching your spiritual blessings? As we move in step with the coming end of our calendar year, we choose enrichment of spiritual blessings or remain stagnant in our past.

Suddenly life is moving at an accelerated rate and be prepared to keep up with it during this full Moon until the next full Moon in December. Be flexible and not so rigid with your thoughts or actions. This full Moon is about leaving behind the noose of old habits, patterns and broken dreams.

Here is an appropriate quotation from President John Kennedy who passed 55 years ago November 22. “For time and the world do not stand still. Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future.” Think on this quotation.

What has been cannot be changed and it is time to let it go, while we lean forward to embrace all that lies ahead.

The lesson, energy and influences of this full Moon helps us to create a new legacy and to finally free ourselves from all obstacles, barriers and blocks that prevent our individual prophecy and birthright.”

Well that is certainly an interesting Full Moon to accompany Thanksgiving don’t you think?

The cards that wiggled and giggled to come support this week are The Divine Circus Oracle, which made me laugh and nearly snort tea out of my nose! Of course they would come, especially as we may be rubbing up against people that we love but sometimes find quite challenging to be around. Now, if you have never worked with this deck before let me give you a brief introduction – “This deck is for those who find it hard to follow rules, conform, bend to authority and generally ‘do what they are told.’ May your rebel heart always be bold. May your spirit always be free. My you remember to live the Divine Circus and have fun doing things the way you aren’t supposed to, whilst living your most creative and unique divine destiny.” The crystals that came to play are the ones from the beach, the gorgeous rocks that I pick up every morning and bring home to their beautiful bowl. And of course some delightful rose petals and Selenite to amplify.

Thus, I invite you to take a pause and a moment for yourself. Just BE and as you breathe in a lovely deep breath resonant with giving Thanks/Gratitude and as you breathe out through your open mouth release the past, the old, the worry and tension. Breathe like that for a few lovely, luscious breaths and when you are ready ask for the guidance that you need this week and then pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Just as nature imbues the butterfly with an innate ability for radical transformation, so too do you have natural instincts within, guiding you to grow in dramatic, utterly life-changing ways. DATE WITH DESTINY

Out of the ethers and into your life, she arrives now because you have a date with Destiny. She is a mysterious creature; her ways are wild and her guidance is true. She may create chaos from which a new order can emerge, but there is no need to fear. She has come to inspire, uplift and direct you.

A date with Destiny is a big deal. It is the moment when you realise there is something helping you out, something intelligent, powerful, wise and, no matter how empowered you are, something even more powerful than your own efforts. All bets are off! Nothing is held sacred and anything can happen. If you are a control freak, this will probably scare you witless! You need to trust Destiny’s interventions on your behalf, even if her work seems to be causing your best intentions to go astray. Trust or go mad because you cannot control her. And you do not need to! Your divine destiny is your best life. It is you in the fullest and most beautiful creative expression possible. It is what you want and need, even when you don’t immediately realise it, even when that is rather different to what you once thought you wanted and needed.

The Universe has heard the prayers in your heart, and life is going to answer them by rearranging what needs to be rearranged to sort out whatever has been troubling you. Make sure you let it happen. The more you allow yourself to trust in her, the more you will realise that the universe is working with you, rather than against you, and if you are willing, it will show you the time of your life!

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea. But not all blessings are instantly recognisable. Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development. A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way. Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should. Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

Blessings are the mysterious workings of the universe, there to help us along our unique life path to live our truths and fulfil our potential. The universe has the knack of knowing just what it is we need, even when sometimes we might think we need something altogether different. This is how it can be that something we resist and reject in our lives can become the very thing we’re most grateful for later on. We realise it had been a blessing masked, something actually helping us, even though it might have come in the form of a challenge or a struggle before we eventually gain great benefit from it.

The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet. But trust and have peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing. It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist. There is no need to worry, even that which appears to be most troublesome is going to reveal itself to be working in your favour!

Well delicious lovely, wishing you a stupendous week and I have an invitation for you. Think of the things that you do that nourish you, whether it is playing music, lighting a candle, going for a walk under the trees and give it the energy of a ritual. In other words, set an intention, let the energy follow it make it a conscious action. Also, no matter if you are in the States and celebrating Thanksgiving or live somewhere else, play with the energy of this wonderful Full Moon and give thanks and bless everything that is in your life. In my morning practice I always say “ I bless everything I have and I bless my increasing good and good fortune” and then I start listing them. So I might say “I bless my bed and the cosiness of it and I bless my increasing good and good fortune, I bless the sun filtering through the autumn leaves and I bless my increasing good and good fortune.” Yes? Give it a try and really think of everyone and everything that could do with a blessing. At the full moon take some time to write down the things, or aspects, that you are ready to release, then burn the list and allow it to become compost. Play with it and see how you feel. Meteor’s, Fires & Eclipses – Ohhhhh My!

Happy Magickal, Manifesting Monday delicious lovely! How did you get on with the Partial Solar Eclipse we had on Saturday as well as the New Moon? Personally, I found the build up energy to the eclipse rather intense, so much so that for four nights in a row I found myself up for 2 or 3 hours in the middle of the night. The first time it happened I felt rather grumpy and anxious with the whole thing. However, by the fourth night I was thinking it was a bit of a bonus as I would get to see the meteor showers that were ramping up. There is nothing like sitting in the dark with your head tilted back looking at a deep, dark sky lit with sparkling stars, and watching shooting stars go dashing by, to remind you of how infinite our Universe is. Unfortunately over the weekend when the meteor shower was meant to be at its most glorious, a huge wind picked up and blew all the thick smoke in from the multiple forest fires burning around us. So currently even in the daylight right now you can’t see the mountains or the lake as the smoke is too thick, thus, there were no sparkly stars to watch last night.

This morning as I was sitting on my deck watching the sun slowly rising above the mountains as a strange orange light trying to burn through the smoke I thought about how as humans we talk about “energy” and how things feel to us. Then I thought about how over the last 3 days we have had an eclipse, multiple forest fires and dancing meteors. Doesn’t that mean that the Universe and Mother Nature are expressing how their energies are feeling? I think they are. Which really feeds into the theme of change, transformation and creative pragmatism – don’t you think?

I was nattering with a friend on the weekend (whilst I built a door for my completed shed – so excited!) Anyhow, he was talking about change and how he didn’t like it, he just wanted things to stay the way they were in his life and know that every day was rather similar and what the expectations were. I was sooooo gob smacked to hear this that I nearly drove a screw into my hand with my impact driver. I totally understand that change and transformation can be very tricky for most of us, especially when we haven’t instigated it – but to want to sit so rigidly within the confines of a rather narrow comfort zone seems to me to be foolish. Thus, for about an hour we bantered back and forth about change and I likened it to an egg (stay with me on this one). Let’s say I am making you breakfast and I ask you what you would like, you choose toast and eggs (you still with me?) I then hand you a plate of raw eggs, still in their shells, and cold bread. Why? Because to cook you some delicious eggs and make you warm, buttered toast both of those items have to go through a change, a transformation to become something that you would want. Does that make sense? Now if you are totally resistant to any form of change I guess you would end up sucking raw eggs out of the shell and eating cold bead, which to mean doesn’t sound like a fun thing to do (and having tried raw egg whites as a nutritious and delicious drink I can affirm that I think they are rather disgusting to be honest!)

Thus with this energy of change and things shifting floating around, when I went to do the reading today I wasn’t surprised to see that the Oracle of the Shapeshifters were eager to play. If you have never encountered these lovely guides before, these are the guides for change and transformation. “This deck is filled with mystic familiars for times of transformation and change. Fear corrupts and these guides are for anyone experiencing a transformation and who may be fearful of that change. Change is one way of staying very much alive – it’s necessary and healthy. The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come be active with you this week are:- Mookaite – the stone of here and now, very protective and is a stone of the lower chakras, Yellow Jasper – a great grounding stone, actives the Solar Plexus and is a wonderful healing stone for anxiety and depression and last but not least Sodalite – helps you get back in touch with your true self, promotes peace and tranquility. Oh yes, with the big wind on the weekend it blew down so many of my huge sunflowers, so a few of the little ones wanted to come and participate.

I’ve created a lovely visualisation for you, if you feel inclined, with all this heat, fire and smoke around I thought it would be nice to cool off a tad and go play by the water. Don’t fret, you don’t need to wear a bikini! If that is not what you’re into at the moment then just give yourself a little space to BE, to breathe, to relax into your body, your essence and your inner wise knowing. Breathe into all the spaces and offer an invitation of welcome to those areas, inviting them to come help you pick the right guidance. Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

A TIME TO SAY GOOD-BYE

A time to say goodbye will help you to let go, even though it hurts a lot. This is now out of your hands; you have to say goodbye at this time. Be active in this ending when this card comes to you. Be brave; think about how you can best take care of yourself at this time, and show the other person how much you care. Don’t ignore or shun them. Rather, let this person know what they have meant to you, wish them well on the next stage of their life journey, and let….them…go! There may be great sadness id doing so, but you will grow so much because you have chosen the better way to deal with this sad situation. This other person has learned how to detach and stay detached. He asks that you do not ask for him to return, to stay, or to cling. Be strong because you need to be dignified, and believe that something better is coming. Because that is the truth. Something better is coming. So open your arms, and let him be free, as he has learned to be.

You may be reluctant to see an ending – you may wish to extend the time you have with someone, or you may even feel like you are being cheated out of something you deserve. But the truth is that things must die in order to be reborn in another form at a later time. This is the chosen time to go, and from the ashes, something new will arise, and it will be even better than you can imagine. Rebirth cannot take place without a death – and it is now time to end something, to let something both externally and internally die. It may be a long-held belief, a place that seemed to hold security, a friendship that has grown unhealthy, someone you’ve been going out with who no longer wishes to see you, or a beloved family member who may not be in this world much longer. Whatever it is, let it – let them – go! Something else will return to you. And you cannot be reborn unless you first know how to die. ALICE IN A SEA OF TEARS

Alice is drowning, distraught, overwhelmed, in her own sea of tears. But help is on its way! She will find her way to shore. The rat, the keeper of her goods, will be with her. And the crab, who is of moonlight and is tender on the inside, will show her which way to head and help her strap on armour for the next stage of her journey, to protect her own soft heart. The rat will help her busy herself with creating her own hoard, and being prepared and productive instead of being overwhelmed by her feelings. Alice, in time, will know the truth. She will blame this sea of tears on no other. All will be well, and from this sea she will walk, as soon as she realises the source of her confusion is her own unbalanced emotions. The endless weeping will cease, her feet will find purchase, and land’s grounded safety will be hers once again.

You have been through a very emotional time and have finally released your need to hold on. You have let go – or been let go of – and the emotional aftermath has been overwhelming. First Monday of August, the Energy has Shifted and another Eclipse on the Way!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal Marvelous First Monday of August! Here in BC it is a lovely Civic Holiday so a day when lots of people have been enjoying a delicious, lovely long hawt, hawt weekend. I personally spent yesterday going up and down a ladder 256 times in the day in 40C weather, (have to say my left arse cheek was exceptionally sore by the end of it all lol). Why? I spent yesterday putting up rafters and huge sheets of plywood on the roof of the large workshop/shed I’ve been building as I want it finished! (I get a tad myopic on projects some times).

So at the beginning of the month we always talk about the “energy” of the month, why? The energy of the month is what flows and weaves through each day, then layered on top of that or woven into it are the energies of the seasons, the celebrations, the eclipses and of course the New and Full Moon.

If you remember, July was all about “Mature Responsibility in Unpredictable Times”, June was about “Discipline and Follow Through”. Well August is all about “Creative Pragmatism” what does that mean?

As Lena shares – “August is a complex month supporting you to think outside the box. We have an opportunity for new creative insights, help from unexpected sources, and a new determination to step forward and show up with choices that are mature and practical. Your experience this month will be much more positive if you keep your eyes on your own goals, stay in your own lane, and don’t get distracted by the accidents and drama you may see around you on the side of the road. The questions to ask yourself over and over again this month are, “Is it creative enough, or is it the same old way of thinking?” “Is it practical and grounded?” “Am I staying in my own lane, or am I getting sucked into a drama that is not mine?” “Am I keeping good boundaries? So the questions she poses are fabulous questions to ask yourself!

Floating over this monthly energy is the upcoming Partial Solar Eclipse on Saturday August 11th, this is the 3rd one in a month! (How are you doing with it all?) Remember, that eclipse time is about bringing things to light and we have had a lot brought to light, however, with it being a solar eclipse this is more internal, this is deep and waiting to be brought out to the light. Please remember with 3 eclipses in a row “Ready or not, the winds of change are blowing. Eclipses bring the unexpected, forcing us into action. Repeat after me: Change can be a good thing.”

So a note here – for those who are part of our amazing community there will be an email coming out to you on Friday with great information on how to really harness and relax into this big energy shift (oh yes and stay relatively sane lol). Also, as so many of you have asked for readings with all this “stuff” swirling around and you want to gain more clarity and direction, I want to make this easy and accessible for everyone. Okay, so let’s crack on with the reading. I took the time to sit outside today to write and do the reading and it was gorgeous. The sun was shining, the plethora of sunflowers that the birds seeded, were all bobbing their glorious heads and tracking the sun. I had a huge crow and her two large babies come and land on my table and cock their heads and watch me for a few minutes and the humming birds and bees buzzed around frantically through the various flowers gathering the pollen. It was positively the most perfect place to be at that moment in time.

When I asked the cards and crystals who wanted to come out and shine brightly I laughed with delight when The Divine Circus Oracle sauntered her way out of the decks, strutting her stuff and giggling. Of course, in this eclipse energy and the Fire energy of Early Summer life becomes a Circus. Then it was fascinating to watch which crystals stepped up and for the first time EVER all three are Amethyst, all in different forms. Hmmm. Why? Amethyst is a wonderful crystal of protection, prosperity and for helping you manage your emotions so that you can take right action. Well that actually sounds perfect! There is also a glorious Selenite wand for amplification. Oh yes! And the flowers, there was a bit of a conversation going on between the flowers and the herbs, so they reached a compromise. Hummingbird flowers came to join along with lemon balm (which has been eaten, nom!)

I also crafted a fun guided visualisation based on sunflowers (which make me smile), if you feel so inclined, to help you really get rooted and reach for the sun. If that doesn’t resonate for you just breathe into your body, give everything a wiggle and slow your breath down and invite your trusted wise self to have a moment to surface and ask what it is you need to know.

JOKER IS WILD

The Universe has a sense of humour, but never at your expense. It is laughing with you, not t you. You’ll see this for yourself as the Joker weaves her magic in your life, bringing you the grace that is beyond all reason, the necessary ingredient to ensure you win with the hand you have been dealt by life. Deep within, you know what is true and what to do (or not do). Yet there is so much noise and distraction in the world, and even at times in our own minds, that listening for our inner wisdom can seem like trying to hear gentle birdsong in the midst of a rock concert. Even so, you are hearing an inner truth, and deep down, you know it. Can you trust that it is safe to not only hear your inner voice but act on it too?

There is something that you know. You’ve felt, sensed, heard or realised this truth more than once. Even if others see or feel differently, you just know what you know, even if you don’t quite know how you know it!

Give your truths value. Hold your feelings and insights in high enough esteem to pay attention to them, to give yourself time to process what you think, feel and sense. Know that they’re worth acting on, even if that action just means to trust more and stop worrying. If you cannot figure out what your inner truths are, or you feel confused by conflicting thoughts and feelings, torn between head and heart, then you are in a state of information overload. You need to switch off, discharge some excess mental and emotional energy and take a break. Give yourself some time out from the crazy noise and constant distractions of the world so you can get in touch with what is true for you.

Don’t look to what has been to find your destiny. Your future is bright and blessed. If the pain of the past feels a little too close for comfort, White Duchess steps in to help you leave behind the emotional storms of your past and move into her protection. So I do feel compelled that I should clear something up. A while ago I had a reader email me asking “if I sifted through a deck, picked the cards I thought might work and then wrote to the cards, subbing in what needed to to make it all aligned.” Good question, however, to be honest I was appalled and gob smacked!

That would never even occur to me to do. So I shared with this lovely humanoid my process – I start writing the preface whilst surrounded by all of my decks and crystals and then decks and crystals make themselves known. I then smudge everything, get very grounded – open myself up to Spirit and become a conduit and the reading happens. The reason I share this story, is please don’t ever doubt yourself, your gifts or the messages (however they come to you). With this glorious sun energy, fire energy (remember that is about Passion) and all the rest of it. Step up, don’t doubt and shine gorgeous one. Shine.
