When the heat cranks, Divisiveness comes into play! So where do you find a sense of peace?

Happy Magickal, Marvellous, Melting, Magnificent, Melodic Monday! The last Monday of June (can you believe it?) So let me ask a super boring question – what’s your weather like? (See I told you it would be boring).

Here we are in the midst of an unprecedented heat wave – I mean it’s frigging hot with temperatures we don’t normally see here, such as 41C! Which totally ties in with what Lena shared about the Shamanic monthly energy for June as Shake Up being internally, externally and mumma nature flexing her energy as well.

I will be honest, as a ginger I don’t do super well in extreme heat to say the least, I’m more like a wilting flower that looks to hide in dark cool places. However, it has been fascinating to watch and just observe people around me as I move through my day. A lot of anger flaring, tempers are short and words are flying left, right and centre. It’s as if with the external heat being increased, the internal heat has been cranked up and people are pissed. I had a client who is the most gentle, kind, sweet person stating very clearly how she just wanted to “throat punch” people! I get it, lol.

There’s a lot of anger swirling around and heightened energies that are in play, which in turn are really exacerbating that sense of divisiveness I’ve been witnessing, for the last few months.

Now what do I mean by divisiveness? The separation mentality. The Us vs Them mentality. The sense of I’m right – You’re wrong kind of thing.

So for example. With the heat I try to get out the door as the sun is rising (because seriously by 7am it’s already 28C). I take Danu down to one of the beaches so she can cool her paws and walk in the water. So yesterday, at about 8am I took her to a local rocky beach and had 2 different people screaming at me about having a dog there. Hmmm, tricky as it’s a beach that allows dogs.

Their level of anger as they sat sweating on the driftwood shouting at me and trying to make me “wrong” (whilst they were dumping their food garbage all around them was so intense I had to laugh. Seriously?

But this sense of entitlement, there being only one way to do things and good/bad energy seems to be pervading all different types of arenas and I find it so sad.

When Covid first hit 16 months ago and the world went into a tailspin one of the side effects that came into play was people realising that community, humans, helping each other was important. That we were all connected, no matter where we lived and that we were all in this together. I was soooo delighted and thought to myself – Yes! Yes! Change is happening, the reset button has been pushed and we will create a better global community.

Then the vaccine was introduced and all of a sudden it created that rift again, that split, that separation. As I don’t know about you but one of the first questions anyone seems to ask these days is “Have you got the vaccine? Which one did you get?” Goddess forbid you say you are choosing not to, or you haven’t got it yet.

The other morning I was standing in a line up for the local market and there was a woman ahead of me with no mask on and she turned to the person behind her “I’m not wearing a mask as I’ve had two doses of the vaccine, which one did you get? This poor person looked a tad stunned and advised the woman “Actually, I’m not sure I’m going to get it.” (Bold on her part). Then all hell broke loose. The maskless woman went into a tirade about how irresponsible she was, that it was her duty and on, and on. Basically implying she was wrong, less than and obviously selfish and stupid. Wow! Divisiveness in play. Us vs Them.

I appreciate with Solstice we entered the energy of Fire, the intense energy and very masculine energy. Throw on top of it the outrageous heat and all the rest of it, but do we really need to revert back to how the world was? As in my humble opinion, it didn’t seem to work so well.

So how do you find peace when it feels like the world is a tad off kilter, and the energies are very aggressive?

For me I have been making sure that daily I ground and center myself (sometimes multiple times a day). I go places that nourish me and are cooling (the woods has been a lovely one over the last few weeks), and I surround myself with music that soothes, sounds that soothe, colours that soothe (so no, I haven’t been wearing a lot of red and orange at the moment!)

I’m also sensitive about what I allow in in the way of news, information, conversations etc. So for example I have been listening to “Outrageous Openness” by Tosha Silver on repeat. As the message is very clear – we are all part of the whole. We are all connected, we are all little sparks of the Divine and not better than, less than any other little spark.

And last but not least I send Blessings galore to any fractious situation, person, place or thing that I encounter. (Don’t get me wrong, it may take me an hour or so to come to that place lol, as I’m still human!) Oh yes, and daily epsom salt scrub showers (cold at the moment).

So I highly encourage you to do things that nourish you on every level, and if necessary stay the heck away from people who are caught up in their entitled, anger driven state of mind.

Okay, I have chuntered a ton (not a surprise), so let’s crack on with the reading. When I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide this week, the glorious Faery Forest Oracle were adamant, which made me smile a lot. Okay delicious lovely, let’s ground and centre. Come back to your body (it’s safe) and allow your breath to soften and slow. See a delicious cooling pool in your mind’s eye. A pool of calm, cool, still water – inviting and deep. Allow your hand to trail through it, cooling your fingertips and then place them on the back of your neck. Winter has descended upon the Faery Forest. You have ceased struggling and fighting to change what is outside of yourself. THE WILD HUNT

There is, for all of us, a moment when excitement and nerves fuse, when we prepare to journey and do something we have anticipated for a long time. In the faery realm, this sensation is created by adventure known as the Wild Hunt. This is a gathering which takes place not only within the realm of faery, it is one where the faery king and queen lead faery hounds and faery horses on a hunt throughout the countryside, dipping into and out of the faery lands, surfacing in the human worlds from time to time, cleansing toxic energy, allowing natural forces to begin to flow through the cleared energy paths, awakening the wild world to brightest life once again, and leaving a trail of ecstasy and bliss after the frenzied storm of their ride.

The Wild Hunt is fierce, powerful, a little frightening, and thoroughly thrilling – and this faery queen is preparing herself for the joys and challenges of this great springtime event. So too you need to prepare yourself for some chaos – a wild time, when change tears through and upends all the order you have attached yourself to. You may need to pack, travel, find ways to move quickly, stop planning and organising for a moment and just go on an immensely enjoyable ride of your life.

The time coming for you is delirious in its excitement, and you fear this loss of control and order. But truly, it will refresh you, just as it sears the very edges of your nerves! Dress up, show up, and prepare to be amazed! Take a deep breath, find your voice, and begin to cry out at the top of your lungs. Solstice, Celebration and Super Full Moon in Capricorn!

Happy Magnetic, Magickal, Miraculous, Marvellous, Manifesting Monday!

How are you? Did you manage to take time to celebrate the Solstice? Here in North America Solstice arrived on Sunday (so if you are in Europe it will be today – Monday!)

I will say my Solstice was amazing! Getting up at 4am to head to the ocean to watch the sun slowly rise up over the horizon and then bask the ocean in liquid gold. Gathering (and pilfering) flowers to make a delicious flower mandala to offer as a blessing to the portal that was created!

Yes, I did say Portal, lol. (You can’t make this shit up!)

In the fairy garden there is a delicious wee portal woven out of ivy. So the other day I was sitting looking at it and thought “Wouldn’t it be cool to have a life sized portal?” (That’s where my mind goes sometimes). So last weekend driftwood galore was gathered in the early hours from the beaches, then a circle was drawn on the lawn and the building began and wow! Wow!

She is stupendous!!! all the pieces of driftwood wended together to create a 6ft Portal that then got set into the bank at the back of the garden where I have carved a trail through the brush up to an amazing little rocky park.

I wove ivy around her (keeping the roots in the ground) and then put tiny fairy lights onto her, and built an incredible rock stairway for her approach. The thing that is amazing is she looks like she grew there. I am chuffed to bits. I wanted her to be ready for Solstice, so a flower mandala was made on her threshold and then a cleansing and blessing spell was set with a very clear intention as to the energy she would hold. Last but not least 2 quartz points, a rose quartz and an amethyst were woven into her “horns”.

The perfect activity for Solstice followed by an outdoor Solstice gathering in the garden filled with great people, great food and ridonculous games (think water gun fights, light up frisbee and Yahtzee!)

The perfect way to mark such an intense Fire Celebration (and I will say I can certainly feel the Yang energy swirling).

Thank you to all the comments and feedback about the Book of Summer Solstice, I’m tickled to hear which rituals you are working with, how you liked the abundance spell and how so many of you have listened over and over to the guided visualisation. That makes my heart soar! And to answer your question – yes you can use this for the week following Solstice as well.

Protection of the Winged Mother

You are venturing through a time of significant spiritual growth and healing. There are many changes occurring internally and they will be reflected in your external world soon also. Letting the Divine Feminine nourish you now into new relationships, collaborations, community and friendships is very wise. There are many souls with whom you have spiritual contracts decided upon before you were born who wish to help you, and whom you can help too, as you grow together in peace and light and wisdom. Your light has value on its own of course but it is also of deep service when it is visible to others, lighting the way.

Mother Isis says that there is so much light awakening within our planet, and so much spiritual light gifted to Earth from celestial beings at this time, that it makes sense to build a large enough container to receive it. If you had enough electricity to power a city, you wouldn’t try to fit it in one house. Likewise, with all this spiritual electricity becoming available on the EArth, groups are needed to help it to circulate and flow.

If you accept all of this but still cannot find your spiritual home here, and have been wondering where your community is, you are not alone! They are looking for you too! Say ‘yes’ to opportunities to meet like-minded people and let Isis guide you through circumstances, opportunities and spontaneous moments as you and your beloved sisters and brothers find each other together for group benefit. Triumph of the Goddess

Beloved Initiate, there are times to surrender and let go, but there are never times to give up! Persist with your bold faith and inspired action until the impossible happens. Isis has the spirit of triumph and will never fail in Her quest no matter how bold or impossible it seems. Believe.

Summer Solstice is coming, Summer Solstice is coming! Whoot!

This Sunday, June 20th at 11:53pm PST, is the Summer Solstice and I am so looking forward to celebrating it. Every year has been filled with different ways of celebrating, different rituals and different intentions/offerings and the harvest that I have reaped from these has been mind blowing! (As in, you seriously can’t make this shit up!)

I know I said last week that on Thursday you would receive an update about the Book of Summer Solstice and if there was going to be a reading special. However, Mercury Retrograde had different ideas and tech would not comply nor work for a few days. Apologies! However, we have it all sorted and the Book of Summer Solstice is done (along with an incredible guided visualisation), and there will be a reading special that will start the day after Solstice.

Now if you have no clue about Summer Solstice or Litha as this celebration is called, as well as Midsummer’s Eve, I will give you a quick and dirty and if you want to find out more, you will most certainly experience it in the most amazing B.O.S.S! (Book of Summer Solstice).

What is the Book of Summer Solstice you may be asking?

This is an amazing 39 page creation filled with Lore, Magick, Spellwork, Deities, Crystal and Chakra work and glorious rituals – both easy and more complex. It is the perfect accompaniment to support you in harnessing the powerful energy of light, manifestation and abundance this Summer Solstice.

So let’s explore Solstice a wee bit.

Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. On the day of the June solstice, the Sun reaches its northernmost position, as seen from the Earth. At that moment, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. Which makes it either the longest day or the shortest day of the Year.

Summer Solstice (also known as Litha) is all about abundance, growth, expansion. It’s the celebration of the Sun! Think about it, the farmer plants the seeds in the cool of the Spring in the wet ground and as the Summer Solstice approaches things have sprouted and are reaching up as if they are doing a glorious sun salutation. It’s a time to watch the ripening and fruiting of the plants around us and our ideas. This is a delicious inner fire/power celebration that acknowledges the abundance that grows from tiny seeds. This is a time of really reclaiming your inner power and brightness and mapping out the harvest you desire for the next while.

It’s also a stupendous time for magick! I mean for goodness sakes even William Shakespeare wrote about it in 1596 in his play Midsummer Nights Dream (so that’s how long the magick has been around.) There is a line in the play that says “If we shadows have offended, think but this; and all is mended: that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear….”

Midsummer’s eve was believed to be a time when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest – a time of powerful forces and magical happenings, when fairies were thought to be about and at their most powerful. This otherworldly sense underpins Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where the fairies use their magic and cause mayhem in the forest.

The magic gets mixed and at one point, Titania, queen of the fairies, falls in love with Bottom, who is unwittingly sporting an ass’s head. But don’t fret – you won’t end up wearing an ass’s head (unless you really, really want to!)

This is a day of inner power,brightness, Magick and manifestation!

So as I mentioned earlier, each Summer Solstice I celebrate in different ways with different rituals, however, one thing I always do is create/craft something to honour the gifts that I receive. Guess what this year’s creation is going to be? Go on, take a guess!

A PORTAL! (No I haven’t lost my marbles at all)

So if any of you have been following the adventures with the faery garden, that became a faery village and then a faery community – you will know there is a delicious handwoven ivy portal in the faery garden. So why not have a life sized one? Yes, one that is 6 feet tall and that you can walk through. Make it out of natural materials such as ivy, driftwood etc and create a sacred space that you can step through and leave the worries and cares behind.

So watch this space – I will let you know next week if I managed to pull it off as I think that would be positively magickal and look stupendous! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Okay, enough chuntering on. Let’s crack on with the reading. When I asked the guides and cards who wanted to come and share this week I was delighted to see the amazing guides of the Earth Warrior Oracle were most adamant, and the Hansa roses jumped out to support! If you have never been introduced to these auspicious guides, please allow me.

There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time for the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word “struggle” from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

Okay darling one. Let’s settle in shall we? Talk a glorious deep breath in and then let it out as a sigh, releasing all the old air that is trapped anywhere. Take another deep breath in and allow your shoulders to relax, your forehead to smooth and your jaw loosen. Breathe in the wondrous energy of Summer Solstice. The energy of magick and manifestation. Divine Might Foretold

You know what is correct. You understand that any gain which comes from denying your values and compromising yourself creates a loss of soul. There are times when it may seem as though people who act without integrity are obtaining benefit without negative repercussions. Life can seem unfair if you limit yourself to a strictly human perspective. Yet nothing escapes the attention of the spiritual worlds. Restorative action and balancing fairness is always in action at a higher level, put your faith in divine justice, and you will win in a way that brings benefit to many.

Don’t let yourself down with behaviour or attitudes that are unworthy of you. You have divinity within you and a right to be in the world with dignity, grace and integrity. Whether in a small matter of apparent insignificance to anyone other than yourself, or in big matters where you feel your soul, and perhaps the souls of others, are on the line, integrity will be your saving grace.

You can be kind of heart, but also firm as you refuse to allow anyone or anything to convince you that lowering your standard of acceptable behaviour is warranted. Be in the right relationship with yourself and the Divine. Justice will always be done, whether you see it happening or not. Put your faith in the good and true, and you will successfully continue on your path.

Others are relying on you to be true to yourself, more than you may realise. You are strong enough to live with honour.

ALAKOA

Spirit of the Warrior

Though you yearn for peace, you recognise that, without truth, genuine peace can never be. Even if it triggers an upheaval of transformation, the need to set things right is strong in you. This is the inner drive of the spiritual warrior; the compelling soul needs to uphold truth, goodness and justice. You will fight for these things because that is your way, Spirit Warrior. Trust, see and feel the positive impact that you are making in the world. You are relentless and the Divine is with you.

You need never lose faith in the power of good. You need never lose faith in how much you can accomplish as an independent and inspired individual in this world. You need never believe that you are alone or without divine protection. You need never fear evil. The third eye of the Divine Mother sees all things, is ever watchful and ever just. She births through holy vision, the manifest power of good in all realms. Her gaze is upon you now. Trust her.

Believe in the power of the Divine to keep an eye on things for you. Trust that power to alert you when you need to know something or to understand what is happening in your life and what you need – even if you aren’t so sure of that yourself at times. Be active in contesting negativity. The moment you feel something isn’t coming from love, acknowledge it immediately. You don’t have to make it about you or analyse it. Call for divine support in all things. It is your greatest ally.

Give up your attachment to past experiences of rejection and abandonment so that you can open up to how much the Divine loves you and can help you. Practice feeling the confidence and unconditional trust in a higher power, knowing it is stronger than all else.

Durga is your ally, your divine weapon, your refuge and your vital energy for sacred purpose. Do not allow yourself to be intimidated. Let that confidence and trust in the divine goddess of goodness radiate out of you like a shining sun that fills your heart, your mind and your belly.

New Moon Eclipse, Summer Solstice and Shake Up Time!

Happy Miraculous, Magnificent, Moody, Melancholic, Magickal, Majestic, Moodling, Manifesting Monday! The first Monday in June (how the heck did we end up in June already?) Time is doing some very interesting things for sure! So let me ask – how are you delicious lovely? How was your Full Moon Eclipse?

I will say that I most certainly feel Eclipse energy, but this one handed my arse to me in a paper bag! It was so interesting to witness the feelings that surged up, along with the thoughts and the intense desire to shut the world out and just curl up in the closet with a blankie and close the door! But witnessing and welcoming, without judgement, were the key things that came to the forefront.

So guess what’s happening this week? Frigging Lots!!!

We have the wonderful Mercury retrograde in Gemini, we have the New Moon Eclipse in Gemini. The Shamanic energy of the month is SHAKE UP (if you remember May was TIME TO CHOSE), and we have Summer Solstice rapidly approaching!

Okay, this year Summer Solstice (aka Litha) comes to us this Sunday (June 20th). If you are in the Southern Hemisphere it is your glorious Winter Solstice (aka Yule). And I’m so excited! As I’m sure you know by now, I love celebrating most things – heck I will even celebrate a thunderstorm. However, I love, love, love Solstices and Equinoxes the mostest (and all the other celebrations).

Now you may be thinking – Jen what’s the big deal, what does this Solstice thing matter? Honey, ask me about the ritual and intention I set 3 years ago now and what happened in the space of 2 months, that now allows me to live by the ocean! The intention I set last year allows me to do what I love!

Thus grasshopper Solstice does matter, it matters very much. It’s one of the biggest celebrations on the Wheel of the Year. We are now moving from the element Air (ideas) to Fire (Action and Passion) and Summer Solstice is the celebration of the sun, which is masculine and all about Passion, Action etc. Summer Solstice also marks the longest day of the year – Whoot!

Summer Solstice (also known as Litha) is all about abundance, growth, expansion.

And yes, for all of you who have been asking if there is going to be a Book of Summer Solstice – you bet. If you are part of our email community you will hear about it on Thursday.

Oh yes, and for those of you who have been asking if there is going to be a Solstice reading special – I’m still perking it as there are lots of things in the works right now, so I will let you know next week. Okay.

So mull over the energy of Summer Solstice and throw onto it (think of making a layer cake) the Shamanic energy of June which is SHAKE UP! (Makes me think of the Elvis song my parents used to play when I was little called – All Shook Up, except it’s not about being in Love!

Okay, so what does SHAKE UP mean to and for you? The best person to answer that is the amazing Lena.

“We are in a destabilized time of mental confusion, frustrations around what no longer works, and tremendous opportunities to approach our lives in a new way. Post last month’s powerful full moon and eclipse, we are also in a learning and integration period where we must look back to see and acknowledge what we have left behind that is no longer available to us. Do so with gratitude and faith. No regrets. We have crossed the bridge and there is no going back.

This month there is an internal shake up and external shake up. Internal shakeup is the shakeup of belief systems, your life as you once knew it, identity shifts, emotional challenges of dealing with confusion, change, doubt and trust. External shake up includes literal earth shaking, as in earthquakes and other environmental intensities, unexpected political decisions affecting greater communities and even countries, sudden losses, sudden gains, spontaneous opportunities, some doors closing, some doors opening, and the effects of other people’s decisions and changes on your life as you know it.

The internal shake up requires you to pay attention to your own truth and what is important as you adjust and adapt to a new landscape. The external shake up requires patience, understanding, resilience, community efforts and trusting in right timing. There is an aspect this month of cooperation, sharing with others and collaboration that is key to starting the rebuild of a new foundation for our collective future.

You will feel the need to find balance between personal alone time to integrate your own process, and community time to inspire each other with the possibilities and opportunities for growth and advancement.”

Then on Thursday June 10th we have the New Moon Eclipse in Gemini, which asks you to trust in whatever has been moving and shaking for you. Know that whatever needs to fall away will fall, and whatever needs to stay will stay. That is the nature and power of Eclipses.

On a human level, we can find ourselves labeling things or events as good or bad, but on a soul level, we understand the bigger picture and know that all experiences serve their purpose. Recognizing this duality within us can be tricky, but may also help to bring some ease as we navigate any changing or unsettling energies that flow our way.

In fact, a good reminder under this Eclipse energy is to not believe everything you think or hear!

A great mantra for this New Moon Eclipse is “Let everything that needs to go, go. Let everything that needs to come, come. All is well.”

So with all this rather “interesting”, yet inviting tumultuous energy around, Summer Solstice intentions are even more important! Trust me!

So with all of that chuntering on, let’s crack on with the reading. BRIGHT DESTINY

To become truly yourself, shining your divine beauty and light, you will go through a process of releasing what is no longer right and true for you. Like the caterpillar who sheds the chrysalis when it is time to emerge as the butterfly, you will let go of the person you once thought you needed to be. This can feel freeing, exciting. It can also seem frightening. You may feel crazy sometimes, trying to hold onto a past that is no longer available to you and grasping for a future that is yet to be.

Sometimes, it can feel like a dark night of the soul, filled with questioning and confusion. Others may not understand what is happening, and you may feel as though you can’t really explain it, either. In such times, we have to trust that all the changes and uncertainty are part of a process of growth – letting go in order to open up to something amazing and new. This is happening for you now. You don’t have to be afraid. You are going through this because you are ready for it, even if you think you’re not. There is a loving reason for all of it, even if you cannot see that right now. Put your faith in the mystery. Trust that the answers will come – and so will the joy of all that you have grown into. Stay true to your path and know that you have a bright destiny ahead.

For now, let the process happen. Fear can make us try to force something that isn’t quite ready yet. Don’t try to impose a meaning, take action or understand it all prematurely. Don’t think too hard! It’s OK to relax and trust that the moment of clarity will come when the time is right.

PRIORITY OF PURPOSE

Making a choice can be hard, as if to say yes to one thing, you have to say no to fifteen other things! Remember that saying no is just saying, “not right now”, rather than “never”. There is a higher plan for your life that includes all of your passions. You can do it all, but just not all at once. Your soul knows how to build your most inspired and beautiful divine life, as though it were building an extraordinary temple for your spirit. It knows that the foundations need to be prepared and the walls built before the windows, doors and skylight can be installed. The roof may be absolutely one-of-a-kind incredible, but if you try to lay the roof before you’ve built the walls, you are going to have some problems!

There is a certain order to how things need to happen, which the soul intuitively knows. That is why listening to the soul and trusting your inner guiding voice makes more sense than trying to accomplish everything straight away and ending up with so much less than you deserve for all that effort. Every moment of patience and sacrifice that you make now is stored up by the Universe as a sweet grace that you will receive back later, as everything falls into place so perfectly. Tune in and trust your soul to show you how to gain everything you ever dreamed of, one simple step at a time.

EARTH GODDESS

You have beautiful dreams and wonderful visions of what life could be. It is not enough to imagine them. You want to live them! This is exactly how you are meant to feel. For that to happen, you must practice feeling grounded, taking practical earthly steps, one at a time, to bring your dreams to life. The Universe will send so much help your way, bu you are the one who must take the steps. Spirit cannot do that for you. Even if you are not sure how your biggest, boldest dreams can come together, you can still ask yourself, “What is it that I can do now?”

Sometimes, it will be an obvious action that you can take, and, sometimes you will need to pray and meditate and ask for the way forward to be shown. When you can do something, do it. When you cannot, rest and wait for your intuition to nudge you when the time is right to take action. Remember, you are an Earth Goddess. You have the power to manifest your visions, to bring your beautiful ideas to life in the world. This is what you are here to do. Remember to love yourself enough to recognise your creative power and use it joyfully each day.

There’s a fantasy that wants to become reality for you. Don’t let a few gritty moments or human imperfections prevent you from experiencing the joy of heaven on Earth.

Beltane is almost here! Super Full Moon in Scorpio!

Happy Magickal, Moonlit, Mystical, Magnificent, Majestic, Manifesting Monday! How are you delicious lovely?

With Beltane on Saturday, May 1st, let’s take a little dip into what the heck Beltane is and whether you should pay attention to it or not. Beltane was thought to be one of the more important festivals of the Gaelic calendar. Beltane is a Fire Festival. The word ‘Beltane’ originates from the Celtic God ‘Bel’, meaning ‘the bright one’ and the Gaelic word ‘teine’ meaning fire. Together they make ‘Bright Fire’, or ‘Goodly Fire’ and traditionally bonfires were lit to honour the Sun and encourage the support of Bel and the Sun’s light to nurture the emerging future harvest and protect the community.

Beltane celebrates the height of Spring and the flowering of life. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active. All of life is bursting with potent fertility, look at the trees around you – (if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere), they are bursting forth with bright green leaves and the little sparrows are back as well as the robins. Abundant fertility, on all levels, is the central theme.

So all in all a great time to celebrate, set intention, fertilise either self or ideas and have a grand jolly time!

But I guess the question some people have is – “Why bother marking the day?” Good question, and my answer would be because it connects you to something bigger, older and deeper than our modern day to day.

For those who are part of our glorious email community, on Thursday, there will be some simple rituals to play with to connect you in a deeper way to this fertile energy. And for the glorious Creatrix Circle members there will be rituals and magick pertaining to Beltane. (Let alone our Beltane celebration!)

Okay, Today is a glorious fat, delicious Super Full Moon in Scorpio which will shine a light on any area of our lives that is wanting us to be impulsive – itching to dash forward. As Lena shares: Put some practical thought into any important choices around changing or adjusting anything major in your life. Take this opportunity to tap into your own wisdom as well as to find a new courage for those changes you do want to make.

You may experience an inner tension that brings up any imbalance you feel around time – how you spend it, how you use your energy etc. Use this full moon time to take an inventory of what you value so you can set intentions and get support around what is most important to you. We are all ready to move on, to go forward and experience more freedom. And yet we are being pulled back to take yet another look at what needs to change, to be healed and to be released. So, be patient, ask what can be healed, and do the work so you can move into the future from a solid and practical foundation and not one built on impulsive behavior.

So for example on this glorious Full Moon I invite you to take a situation in your life; could be a relationship, work, financial, travel – whatever you chose and then write on the top of a piece of paper “My Ideal…….(fill in the blank). “ Then on one side of the paper write 10 things you don’t want, about in your ideal…….. Then when you have done that list, review it and ask yourself “So What Do I Want?” On the other side of the paper take each “don’t want point” and ask what DO I want (in other words a reframe). For example if you were writing about your ideal new job and said:- I don’t want rigid hours, I don’t want negligent management etc. The reframe would be – my hours are flexible, my management is understanding and reliable. Get it? As you make your way through each point, please remember to cross out the “Don’t want list”, and then light a candle and burn that sucker up. Offer it up, release it and realise that you now have a clarity list and these are the words that you use to describe it, which creates different thoughts, which creates a different Vibe, which creates different RESULTS.

Okay, I have chuntered on so let’s crack on with the reading. When I went to the cards and asked who wanted to guide I giggled when I saw the glorious guides of Oracles of Shadow and Light were front and centre. Now if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce them (as it would be rude not to) Wisdom for Misfits, Mystics, Seekers, and Wanderers. Bittersweet…Unheard…Unconventional…Rebellious…Cheeky…Whimsical…Invisible.

They’re not the words you often hear associated with the spiritual world, are they? Nevertheless, some of the most spiritual beings who have ever lived are those who have been most at odds with what we call the mainstream. They do not fit in. They have had moments of despair. And they know being truthful, and being real, is one of the greatest strengths and spiritual paths of all! They ask you to step out from the shadows, to no longer hide your light away, and to consult with an oracle that acknowledges your individuality and strange genius!

How’s that for a warm welcome?

The crystals that wiggled and wobbled are:- Black Moonstone – a powerful connection to the Divine Feminine, Black Madonna, helpful to the oversensitive. Moonstone – mystery, self discovery. Mystic Merlinite – can awaken those parts of the mind that are dormant and activate the full potential of the mind.

So dear one, take a moment to get really rooted and present. Allow your breath to find its natural rhythm and just BE. As you breathe slowly allow the image of the Beltane fires to burble up in your minds eye and as you watch the flames dance and rise to the sky ask “What do you need to know this week.”

ANGEL OF TIME

The Angel of Time looks very fierce and stern, and that’s because you need to hear her message. You see, if she appeared to you in a soft guise, it would be too easy for you to overlook her message and just continue on as if she had never visited. The truth is that you are forcing yourself beyond your energetic limits at this time – working too hard, self-loving and connecting with the Universe way too little.

So, she has appeared to remind you of what it is you are turning your world into: one big machine, where you are one cog in it. You are an important, soulful, beloved being, but the world of work is not going to end if you step away from its mechanism for a while. “It is time,” she says, “for a time out!” Will you listen?

“I’m getting straight to the point here, because someone really has to tell you. Stop giving so much to your work. All your time. Your energy. Your passion. Take better care of your health. This is the time to fulfill all those promises you’ve made to yourself but barely made even the effort to keep. Meditate, eat well, take up gentle exercise, and change unhealthy emotional patterns that are compromising your well being – these are the challenges you need to set yourself. I thank you in advance, for a happy you makes this world a far better place.!”

CANDY CANE ANGEL

The Candy Cane Angel is in charge of letting you know when it is time for some little luxuries that will reconnect you with your self-love and self-worth. She, too, holds back from giving to herself, as she is such an earnest and industrious little angel – but her message is always clear; it is time for some fun!

As she says clearly to you “You know what my problem is? And you know what your problem is? No? Well, let me tell you. Our problem is that we both feel guilty about giving ourselves pleasure. See this little treat in my hands? It’s not bad, is it? It’s not evil, is it? But can I bring myself to just sit down and taste every moment of its sugary sweet delights? No. I have to wonder if it’s the right time. If I have done enough to earn this treat. To wonder why I should get this when so many do not have a single candy cane for their own selves! I torment myself with these things – and so do you! How about we make a deal? Next time you ponder a gift to yourself: a massage, a treat, a spiritual workshop, a delicious meal, time to laugh with a friend, a long rest or nap, meditation time, a space clear…..know that when you energetically tell yourself “I am way too busy for that indulgence,” you are really saying, ‘I do not deserve that!’ Well, let’s decide that you do! I am about to have my treat. I now charge you with the same quest. Give yourself that which you have been denying yourself. You do deserve it!”

Do not rationalise or talk yourself out of it any longer. Step out of the consciousness of lack and into the consciousness of “I deserve,” and grant yourself this lovely moment of luxury. It’s time for some joie de vivre and enjoyment to restage a grand entrance into your life!

NAUTILUS PRINCESS

A big-eyed beautiful mermaid, surrounded by her floating, rich red hair, holds tight to a nautilus shell……She is an underwater (emotional) princess, and she is growing in ways she never thought she would – because soon she is to be the queen, and she must make decisions. She feels uncertain about how she will perform when she is elevated and unsure of whether she can wield her power. She is very thoughtful as she contemplates the future – but all around her are the symbols of her future success.

As she shares with you – “I know I am strong, but most people think of me as gentle, kind, and good. Now that I am to be ruler, what if they see me as power-hungry, dominating, greedy or controlling? Whatever the thoughts of those around me, there will be change as I change, and I will continue to hold fast to my nautilus, as it ever reminds me to grow in ways that are in tune with my purpose, my integrity, and what I feel is right.
