Whales and Sea Lions Battling, April Energy has changed, and we have a New Moon in Aries!

Happy Magickal, Marvelous, ‘Mazing, Mischievous, Manifesting Monday! How are you delicious one? So much to explore with the shift in energy for April and the lovely New Moon that’s happening this week, however, first let me share about the 100’s of Orcas I saw this morning!

As I do every morning I go to the beach with the doggo. So I got there bright and early and was walking along the beach reciting mantra and picking up rocks when all of a sudden I looked up and coming around the point was a massive super pod of Orcas! (Apparently there was a plankton blushing with the hot weather) and they were majestic! Undulating in and out of the water, blowing water up in the air – it was awe inspiring! I mean seriously, how can you watch these majestic beasts and not be blown away? Then all of a sudden as the last Orca rounded the point 4 HUGE sea lions slid off the rocky point and started attacking the last Orca! I was gob smacked! There was all sorts of noise, splashing and you could see bodies flipping up and around and tails smacking the water. I have never seen the like! Then within about 4 minutes it was all done and when I looked around the Orcas and sea lions had vanished.

Okay, I have to ask, am I the only demented one that loves April Fools day and likes to play practical jokes and little twists of the mind with people? In my world, if it is harmless, no one gets hurt (possibly confused), then it’s all good. A few years ago I altered all the clocks in the house by 2 hours and so the kids dashed to the bus stop about 2 hours before a bus would be there. I will be honest, I let them wait for a good 30 minutes and when I pulled up in the vehicle they were highly concerned they had missed the bus, something had happened, where was the bus? (I know, what a horrid mother I am). So I explained to them what had happened, thanked them for the saran wrapped toilet and the salt in the sugar and we all went for a yummy breakie!

Thus gorgeous one, Happy April Fool’s Day! (Playing and laughing are so important, if you’re not doing it, then you need to start (just saying)). Or come for a visit and we will make it gigglicious and glorious fun and hopefully see Orcas!

The energy for April has changed – do you remember the theme from last month? It was Activation. Well this month it is TRUTH, CHOICE AND ACTION, repeat that to yourself again – Truth, Choice and Action – how does that feel? Let me share what the amazing Lena says about this energy. “This is a very interesting month with many ups and downs, twists and turns, eccentric insights, and changes and reversals that will definitely keep you on your toes. The themes of Truth, Choice and Action create a channel for transformation that is much like the birth canal. The only way out is by going through it and there is no going back.

Truth comes as an inner knowing not yet defined. Choice is the emotional commitment that needs no explanation or reason. Action is the disciplined follow-through that anchors a new path.”

On top of all this we have the New Moon in Aries on Friday, April 5th. According to Forever Conscious:- “We have been moving through a portal of energy. This energy was triggered on the Super Moon back in March and will continue until the Full Moon on April 19th. The April New Moon on the 5th is the midpoint of this journey and is the marker where we get to decide if we are ready for something new.

Perhaps you are feeling this in your life in some way. Perhaps you are feeling the call to let go of the old you. Perhaps you are feeling the call to clear out limited beliefs and to remove the blocks that are leaving you stuck.

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading. When I asked the cards who wanted to work with us all, guide, support, inspire and help us on this glorious day the Divine Circus Oracle literally jumped so high that it was like a hand to the forehead! This is a gorgeous deck for the bold, the ones that find it hard to follow the rules “What is life if not a Divine Circus? Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us a moment earlier.”

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come and join in are:- Atlantasite – will help you find inner peace. It will also stabilize your moods. It’s a wonderful meditation stone that will help you access and retrieve ancient information and wisdom about your past lives. We then have Citrine – premier stone of manifestation, imagination, and personal will. Carrying the power of the sun, it is warm and comforting, energizing and life giving. Last, but not least, Snowflake Obsidian – is a very grounding and protective stone. It is used as a great cleanser of negative energies, helping to remove not only negativity experienced in the environment, but also that of one’s own emotions, such as anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, etc.

DEATH SHALL NOT TAKE HIM

You are going to witness the impossible made possible. Whatever you think is lost, is not. Whatever you think cannot be, shall be. The universe is going to intervene and what seems to be over, shall in a new way, live again.

Sometimes, just when you think it’s all over, the eleventh hour comes. You can practically hear the opening chords of your swan song, and when you have finally given up, suddenly, somehow, right before your eyes, everything changes – just like that. You were free-falling and then, suddenly, you are soaring. Fate steps in, destinies are altered and life demonstrates its creative, restorative power, even if all seemed lost.

No matter how defeated you feel, no matter how many dead ends you’ve encountered, how many setbacks, how many failures, no matter how impossible success may seem, the universe has your back and is going to right things in your favour. You will succeed. So if you really must (sigh) doubt for one more moment – go ahead, then replace doubt with trust and participate in the divine defiance of life refusing to be stepped on or crushed. Why not just frigging relax and bear witness to the universe’s impressive display of life-giving power with reverence and delight? Gorgeous one – get out of your own way!

PLAY YOUR HAND

Have you been playing your cards close to your chest? Have you been waiting for the universe to give you a sign, for life to show you how to proceed? Sometimes we need to be patient and surrendered, but there’s also a time to take the initiative. It’s your time to show your hand to the universe. What do you want? What can you offer? Ask! Express! Expect! The Universe is waiting for you to make your move.

There are times to surrender and flow, to let the universe show you where to go. Then there are times when you need to choose, to play your cards, to make your move. The Universe is asking you, “What do you want? What are you willing to do?

Don’t waste a golden opportunity and such a receptive audience! Go into your heart and ask for what you want. If you don’t know the details, that is just fine! Ask for the essence of what you want and leave the fine details up to the universe to sort out. Do you want love? Abundance? Peace? Pleasure? Passion? Purpose? Or do you want creative freedom, to discover, express and enjoy the hidden inner treasures of your unknown talent, to feel so safe and secure within that you can relax and live your life to the full?

You have to take the first step, then all manner of support will come into play. It’s not a time for dreaming only; it’s a time for doing – even if it’s just one step in the direction of your dreams. Do it! Go for it – with gusto! Your confidence and willingness to be open are your keys to winning the game. So game on, sweet soul! Show your cards; let the dice roll!

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea. But not all blessings are instantly recognisable. Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development. A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way. Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should. Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

Blessings are the mysterious workings of the universe, there to help us along our unique life path to live our truths and fulfill our potential. The universe has the knack of knowing just what it is we need, even when sometimes we might think we need something altogether different. This is how it can be that something we resist and reject in our lives can become the very thing we’re most grateful for later on. We realise it had been a blessing masked, something actually helping us, even though it might have come in the form of a challenge or a struggle before we eventually gain great benefit from it.

The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet. But trust and have peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing. It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist. There is no need to worry, even that which appears to be most troublesome is going to reveal itself to be working in your favour!

Leaves, Gourds, Chestnuts – Oh My! The Hunter Moon is approaching.

Happy Magnificent, Magical, Mysterious, Merry, Manifesting Monday! Thank you to all of you who shared “M” words with me, we are going to use them for the next while! How are you? How was your week? Did you have time to get outside? Did you feel connected to self, others, and the elements in a way that nourished you? I really hope so.

The weather for this last week here has been stupendous! Sunny, mild and bright every day which has been awesome. The trees are bedecking themselves in a myriad of colours and they are so gorgeous, it makes me wish I could paint. The reds are bold and bright, the oranges sassy and sexy, the yellows strong but mellow and the greens so vibrant and everywhere I seem to walk is a carpet of chestnuts and acorns (so my advice, don’t wear heels!) It’s as if all the trees are putting on their glad rags and dancing the last dance in the sunlight. I love it!

As much as I love Fall, with all the colours, and the invitation to celebrate all the gifts and bounty we have received (think fields filled with gorgeous fat orange pumpkins). The smell of the air, and the crispness of the early mornings, the harvest fairs and yet there is a sense of urgency in the air. However, for me there is also a melancholy that goes with Fall as I watch the trees release their gorgeous leaves and the ground starting to frost and chill, there is a sense of loss as the snow is coming and the clouds are going to drop down.

To me Autumn offers us delicious lessons that run parallel with our lives. A lesson could be that of Impermanence/Change. Spring brought the glorious buds, Summer brought the flowers and expansion and now Autumn brings the leaves falling and bare branches. Things change and they move through their cycles, they don’t stay in one space, or place. Imagine if you were a flower and you had gone through your budding process into your glorious blossoming period and then it was demanded of you that you continually stayed in that state. It isn’t sustainable, you need to be able to turn inward, nourish your roots, cocoon if you will so that you can go into another state of budding and blossoming.

Another lesson I see with Autumn is it reminds us of is Letting Go. Think of the gorgeous leaves that gently flutter down to the ground. The tree isn’t trying to cling onto them, nor are the leaves struggling to stay where they are, they are gently released and offered back to the earth to nourish the soil. With this we are reminded that fall is a fabulous time for putting down our burdens, for letting go of things that no longer serve us and to get out of our way and allow Spirit/Universe/God to take charge for a while.

What I have found interesting for myself over the last week is whether consciously or unconsciously I decided to explore, to let go of the drama of last month and to create space to BE. So daily I have walked about 14km. Yes, I have a great vehicle that I could drive around, however, it was more a case of what do I see as I walk. I have seen gorgeous gardens, glorious trees, I’ve rescued plants (that are now in my new garden), talked to people I wouldn’t have been able to do that with if I was driving. This has helped me feel as if I am putting down lovely roots and that in turn gives me a delicious feeling of strength. Oh yes, and in honour of all the fall colours on Saturday I decided it was time to release my “accidentally” blonde hair! Thus, my lovely niece gave me a hand and it is a gorgeous flaming red again – I will say IT FEELS GREAT! I feel more like myself, which is quite bizarre when you think it is just a hair colour.

On Sunday I went to a beautiful service at the nearby Unitarian church and the whole theme was on “Sanctuary”, and you were invited to think about what that meant for you, where do you find sanctuary and have you ever been sanctuary for another person. Now as we know Sanctuary means refuge, a safe place, a haven or a harbour. As I pondered this I realised for me that nature is definitely a sanctuary for me, whether it is sitting by the ocean, or walking in the woods. Sitting on a bench and just watching the birds as they dance in the sky. Certain people have been sanctuary for me at various times. My dogs have most certainly been sanctuary for me, and I really notice their absence right now. On off days my bed has felt like sanctuary! It’s safe, cosy and I can hide out under the duvet! So I invite you to think about what sanctuary means for you, where is it for you, who is it?

On my walk this morning I gathered up some of the lovely fall leaves and brought them into this week’s reading. When I asked the cards who wanted to come and guide us this week the Oracle of the Dragonfae came surging to the top. The crystals that were adamant that they wanted to join in are – Morganite, Amethyst and Citrine. I have created a little guided visualisation to help you release your worries, come to a place of sanctuary and be present. If you don’t feel inclined, that’s fine. Just breathe and allow your thoughts to slow along with your breathe and see in your minds eye your glorious sanctuary. Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

WU-WANG

In times of olde, they said that only those who were pure could connect with those like myself. That the virgin could connect with Unicorn. That the child could see the meaning of God. That the fae would truly see into your heart, and finding it corrupt, would never appear to you.

I am here to tell you that your heart is pure and wild and innocent. It is that you have forgotten how to see us, that you have been told that in order to see us, you must be perfect. That in order to see us, you must be mad, unclean, broken, and if you say you have seen us, you face being shunned.

I am here to say to you that we appear to those who have looked into their hearts and have seen beyond the woundings….because within you there is a wild and untrammelled heart space which is free of any taint. In that space we can enter and therefore, we can and we will be seen again. You were not born into this world wrong or sinful. There may be karmic markings, but you are no sinner, nor are you corrupt or unworthy. Foster that which is wild and pure and good with you, and we will begin to appear and come forth. You will feel us on the wind, in the water, see us in the fire and hear our voices emanating from the heart of our mother, the Earth.

You are a child of the Mother, call her what you will, and at your core you are one of the wild ones. That is my message for you.

DREAMCATCHER

I am the Dragonfae being who comes in the night, who travels through the dimensions to the doorway of the worlds. I will stand while you sleep and send you messages that you can unravel in your waking hours. All that is no longer needed will come to me, if you allow it, and I will catch it in my web between my hands, lit up by the light that travels from the solar plexus of this Universe, the being you call Sun, but which I call Bel. This Bel shines through your day and at night I reflect that light into you, cleansing what is irritating and difficult for you, but keeping all that which you need to go forward.

There is nothing to fear from the presence of we dream beings…I am yours, and in your dreams we will journey, we will explore, we will share and we will be happy together. I will help you reach your goals and if you believe, great blessing from Spirit will be yours. We are part of the same tribe and your blood is mine. This dreamcatcher is at your service.

Every night you allow me to visit, I will be your protector, your solar plexus will be opened a little further and your light will shine a little brighter in this world. For your fear will only hurt you, while your courage, in being tested and exercised, will show you so much of your great potential. For you are heroic, noble and able to pass through this. I will teach you how to face that which you fear, and move forward anyway.

You are now in the process of deep transformation and by entering this door and facing the unknowable, you will find new hope dawning before you even dare to dream of it. The second you take action is the moment you will be changed. The more you explore and investigate this capacity of yours to be courageous, the more astounded you will become at your own ability to miraculously, naturally transform yourself. Intellectually, you understand this. But your body hesitates at the commitment you know this change will take. Trust this courage, and the blossoming of it; do it now. You will then start the process of moving through to a new stage.

Your fear masks a deeper dilemma; that of not being your true self and of not knowing that self. This stage will see you reveal your spiritual beliefs, live with integrity, open up emotionally, and become richer and more blissful in every way. With this test of courage, you will shatter the illusory barrier that lies between you and true self-love and self-worth. From this test you will learn to love this individuality, to recover from conditioning and to emerge truly yourself, beautiful and ready to fly. Come through the door. There is nothing to fear. You will see. Now it is your time to become who you have previously only dreamt of being.

It’s almost Summer Solstice, Litha, Midsummer’s Eve! (So excited)

Happy, happy glorious day gorgeous one! Solstice is coming, Solstice is coming! (Can you tell that I’m excited?) As I’m sure you know by now, I love celebrating most things – heck I will even celebrate a thunderstorm. However, I love, love, love Solstices and Equinoxes the mostest (and all the other celebrations).

Now you may be thinking – Jen what’s the big deal, what does it matter. Ahhh grasshopper it does matter, it matters very much. It’s one of the biggest celebrations on the Wheel of the Year. As we have been exploring for the last few weeks, we have been moving from Air (ideas) to Fire (Action and Passion) and Summer Solstice is the celebration of the sun, which is masculine and all about Passion, Action etc. Which if you think about it is kind of ironic as it also heralds what we know as the “hazy lazy days of summer”. Now if you have no clue about Summer Solstice or Litha as this celebration is called, as well as Midsummer’s Eve I will give you a quick and dirty and if you want to find out more, I have you totally covered. What is Litha (Summer Solstice) and how to celebrate it? (There are some yummy easy things to do to mark this glorious day).

Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. On the day of the June solstice, the Sun reaches its northernmost position, as seen from the Earth. At that moment, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. It then reverses its direction and starts moving south again. The opposite happens during the December solstice. Then, the Sun reaches its southernmost position in the sky – Tropic of Capricorn – stands still, and then reverses its direction towards the north.

Summer Solstice (also known as Litha) is all about abundance, growth, expansion. It’s the celebration of the Sun! Think about it, the farmer plants the seeds in the cool of the Spring in the wet ground and as the Summer Solstice approaches things have sprouted and are reaching up as if they are doing a glorious sun salutation. It’s a time to watch the ripening and fruiting of the plants around us and our ideas. This is a delicious inner fire/power celebration that acknowledges the abundance that grows from tiny seeds.

It’s also a stupendous time for magick! I mean for goodness sakes even William Shakespeare wrote about it in 1596 in his play Midsummer Nights Dream (so that’s how long the magick has been around.) There is a line in the play that says “If we shadows have offended, think but this; and all is mended: that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear….” Midsummer’s eve was believed to be a time when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest – a time of powerful forces and magical happenings, when fairies were thought to be about and at their most powerful. This otherworldly sense underpins Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where the fairies use their magic and cause mayhem in the forest. The magic gets mixed and at one point, Titania, queen of the fairies, falls in love with Bottom, who is unwittingly sporting an ass’s head. But don’t fret – you won’t end up wearing an ass’s head (unless you really, really want to!)

So I was positively delighted to see two decks wanting to come play, which then in turn gave me an idea of doing a bit of a different reading, one that really marks this celebration. The decks that wanted to join in and bring their own glorious magick are The Oracle of the Dragonfae and The Faery Forest Oracle. So yes, this reading will probably be loaded with lots of magick, meaning and manifestation. Then it was time for the crystals and wow, wow, wow, so very cool to see who wanted to come. My large chunk of Citrine wanted to become a nest for moonstone, sunstone, chrysocolla and clear quartz (the crystals I am using in ritual on the morning of Summer Solstice) and then all the gorgeous smaller pieces of citrine and the clear quartz points wanted to come as well as the collection of rose petals that I had been drying for Thursday. So needless to say, this reading is going to be a tad longer than normal, which I think is totally appropriate.

I pondered a little more and received a glorious download for an amazing Summer Solstice guided visualisation. I do highly encourage you trying it out and if you feel inclined you might want to use it again on the morning of Solstice (Thursday).

If that doesn’t fit for you, that’s all good – just relax and start paying attention to your breathe and let your mind empty itself and be filled with glorious golden sunlight. Then when you are ready pick the card or cards that call to you, and of course you can pick more than one!

You are a child of the Mother, call her what you will, and at your core you are one of the wild ones. That is my message for you.

AWEN

“Awen” translates to “divine inspiration” or “flowing breath”. It is a mystical force that offers us a moment where there is a sudden surge in newfound knowledge, inspired thought, the ability to awaken our dormant talents and a sense that before we were given the gift of Awen , we were like sleepwalkers.

Awen is a moment where life is forever changed, and once we drink of Awen, or feel it as a beam of divine light entering us and changing us, we can never return to who we were, and the world is never the same again. So having experienced what has taken place, you cannot pretend life can ever be the same. You have lifted the veil and you have seen the face of the Divine. You have drunk the elixir of the gods, and the faeries have offered you their greatest gift.

Awen does not stay – but the knowledge of what we have experienced in that moment changes us forever. So, now that you have had this life-changing experience and been given this incredible moment of inspiration, you can either pretend to yourself that life is without magick, or you can continue to embrace the magick in the enchantment of every moment. Now if you choose, you can become more fully alive – and while this is no easy path, it is one that is full of deep, joyful moments, true connections, and poetic, blindingly beautiful experiences.

Awen will come, from time to time, and you are so blessed for having had this most sublime and life-changing of all mystical experiences.

THE TIME GUARDIAN

The feelings you have, of time contracting and expanding, are real insights, not simply your imagination. Time is a living dimensional being, whose powers include the ability to devote more time to those of us who require it, and for time to speed up or slow down then it may be necessary, too. It is in this way that we are able to divine and travel through the threads and weavings of time, and move forward into seeing our future…in truth, we are already there. And much of who we truly are remains an echo. The time beings of the Dragonfae, of whom I am one, know this, and guard and protect you from confusion. Similarly, they can assist you when you require time to be created. If you feel you are short of time, send a thought message to me, the Guardian of Time, and I will send you all the help you need to meet your goals within the time you feel you have. Know that time is available to work for and with you; you need only tune into it as a dimensional reality, and connect with the time beings. Know that you are a timeless being. Know that you are dimensionally vast, that you are protected, cherished and loved.

If you work with time rather than trying to compartmentalise, control and define it, if we return to the lunar and solar and astronomical ways, if we celebrate the time changes apparent in nature all around us with the Wheel of the Year, then the time span we have will be richer and more joyful, our vocations will be discovered and we will no longer struggle to cram so much into our days. Because changing our perceptions is such a mammoth task, the Time Guardian is sometimes very tired, as the prevailing human mindset now is of time needing to be constrained and watched. He encourages us all to experience the natural flow of the energy we call time, and experience its multi-dimensionality. There is one simple way to work with him. Be in the present moment, more often.

THE TRICKSTER

Let me be a reminder to be true to yourself, to your own personal truths, to the code within your soul. Truly, at this time it is essential for you to let your conscience be your guide, and to live according to your own creed, with open eyes. Do not fool yourself into believing another person’s vision and ideas are more important than your own – question agendas, and be aware of people’s history. For at this time, there is one about you who is attempting to persuade you to their cause, to join them in what they see is a great task, but which in truth is simply a harnessing of your power to their agenda, which is not for your highest good.

All tricksters are charming and know exactly what to say to persuade you – but this is mere language. Their deeds will not match their words, and what you are agreeing to by joining with them will be a loss of your own personal dreams for the furthering of theirs. If you allow yourself to be coerced, cajoled, and manipulated at this time, it will weigh heavily on your very soul.

Be more wary than is natural for you at this time. Do not betray yourself, or ignore the warning signs, which are all about you. Do not foolishly give away your power, but exercise it, and weave a future that is truly the one you wish to create – one, which will provide you with honour, plenty, and the satisfaction of having been true to yourself.

DRAGONFAE OF REBIRTH

We are the ones who have seen you in those moments you humans describe as dark – the ones you so often wish to run and hide from, the ones you fear because you misunderstand their purpose, the ones you shun. Your loathing of your shadow has sometimes driven you to seek and ending. But a literal ending is not necessary. In every culture on this planet, old and new, there has been a ritual that lets you die to your old self, one in which the wise man or woman is guided through a journey to their own underworld. We too know of this underworld, as we dwell there from time to time, and here we are now, in this underworld, waiting for you to descend in order to be reborn.

Fear not your “dark” moments. For in the dark are the shadows, easeful rest and the deep knowledge of the heart and the soul. In this place the seeds you need to plant can flourish and what you feel are dark and “bad” thoughts are in fact manifestations of the desire to die to the self that no longer feels its true self to be captured in its outside form.

You are remaking your own soulself, and in this magick and ritual endarkenment lie the seeds of your reawakening and your own rebirth. We are with you, circling you and clearing and cleansing your energy. There is no beginning and no end, just the cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Now, it feels like death…but it is a death to the old self…not a literal death. Do not fear. You are about to be reborn. Take heart and know that soon you will feel whole again.

SHE WHO LAUGHS

There is within your life now a great heaviness, an earnestness, and a sense of great gravity to nearly every situation unfolding. THE PENDRAGON

I am He who is the hunter, the sage, the father, the provider, the protector. I am he who watches over his people and does his best for his family. I am He: your brother, your father, your husband, your son. I am sheer powerful masculine energy and I am the lover of the Goddess of the Dragonfae. Together we create wholeness, apart we wander alone and are more easily wounded, even destroyed. I have a role: to care for others, to use my physical strength and to use my attributes to fight for those I love. And I will do that. I am King and Emperor and God…and I care for you. Do not fear me: i would not hesitate to sweep you into my arms and hold you.

I love you, but know that my role here takes me away many times from all the love and playfulness that still lives inside of me. Trust in my actions. See the truth and choose a partner who is in action a strong and caring manly man. Think of some of your positive experiences with men this lifetime: from moments with your father, to times when a man has acted honourably. Now, from those examples, begin to allow more of that version of masculine energy into your life.

Gradually, let’s change your ingrained and sometimes negative beliefs about men…and when Pendragon walks in, he demands that you treat the men he sends your way with respect and honour….just as he will treat you in return. You will notice that ignoble men no longer have a place in your life and that you are no longer attracting them. Indeed, Pendragon wonders why you would waste your time with people who do not behave in a noble fashion, and he does not want you to be involved with men who behave deceitfully, who are fearful of their own power, or who take advantage of members of their own family or their partners.

THE FAERY NORN

It is time to be careful, precise, and considered about what you do and what you say. It is time to share wisely, to look around, very carefully, and to consider what patterns of your life will be going forward. It is time to do small and very precise things each day that will increase the stability in your world. It is time for the small, the everyday to be cared for, observed, and known, and for all the loose ends of life to be tied up, neatly, one by one.

There is clutter and some chaos about you. There is no blame in that, the Faery Norn knows, for all lives when well lived hold such things. But your job now is to begin to tidy up your life – to shape it and make it into a form that is more contained, more organised, and somehow for all of this control, more free.

Wow! The cards really knew they were showing up for Litha in a big way! I personally will be by a wild ocean with glorious big waves and some of my most favourite people in the world. After this reading was done I had a little spark and so I packed up little bags of crystals and rose petals to give to the lovelies I will be spending the day with and they are free to do with them what they will. When Spring is Reluctant, Mercury is still in Retrograde and Your Intentions get Eaten! – April 9th Reading

Happy magnificent, marvelous Monday! It’s good to be back. How was your Easter? Did a large wascally wabbit come and poop little chocolate eggs everywhere? Our Easter was fabulous as guess what? We had two days of sun and nice weather in a row!!! (I know, sad but true). So a lot of time was spent playing outside, waking up the garden and just getting everything freshened up. We had a glorious egg hunt through the woods and bushes, and our wascally wabbit hid eggs in the bark of the trees, under shrubs, peeking out from rocks – quite inventive if I say so myself. Good thing we did our egg hunt on the Saturday as Sunday brought 8” of snow! (It was nearly enough to make me want to crawl back into bed and stay there until the real Spring arrived). Ah well, can’t do anything about it.

My friend and I collaborated and co-created Easter dinner for friends, family and waifs and strays, so I think there were about 20 odd of us which always makes for great conversations and interesting dynamics. We also played a fabulous game called “Telestrations”, I highly, highly suggest it but the caveat is it’s not really appropriate for small people to play. It can be a bit edgy, kind of like Cards against Humanity. But it’s great fun!!

On Equinox I did my ritual of writing on little strips of paper things that I would like more of in my life and then I popped them into 12 peat pots, covered them with dirt and planted all sorts of herb seeds in them. Well with the lack of sun (as Spring is being reluctant in showing herself), I noticed they were a bit straggly, so I moved them to a different window and lower down. About an hour later I walked back into the living room to see that one pot was missing, there was a small pile of dirt on the carpet and Legolas (my large white Akbash) was licking his lips with dirt hanging from his jowls! The bugger had eaten one of my intentions! So I don’t know if that means he is spreading my intention out into the world or that that intention was just too delicious not to share! Bloody dog!

Okay, enough about twisted games, pooping bunnies and intention eating dogs, let’s get on with the reading. The deck that came out loud and proud this week is “The Divine Circus Oracle” and if this is your first time coming to this wonderful deck, let me give you the dedication. “This deck is for those who find it hard to follow rules, conform, bend to authority and generally “do what they are told”. May your rebel heart always be bold. May your spirit always be free. May you remember to live the Divine Circus and have fun doing things the way you aren’t supposed to, whilst living your most creative and unique divine destiny.” Ahhhhh, doesn’t that just sound delightfully delicious? The crystals that literally threw themselves out of the bowl to come play are:- Ruby Zoisite – great for transmuting negative energy into positive. Snowflake Obsidian – a stone of purity and brings about a balance to body, mind and spirit. Last but not least, Citrine – highly protective and enhances optimism. These are then all topped of with of a Selenite wand for amplification.

I have created an “interesting” visualisation for you that involves some travelling, but don’t fret you won’t need your passport. However, if you don’t feel the need just take a few moments to slow your breathing down and get centred in yourself and then pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

RARE, RAW, REAL

There is a unique beauty in you that wants to shine through. It is different. It might not be pretty, neat and tidy, and you might even feel vulnerable about sharing this real, unveiled you with the world…do it anyway because the world wants to love you. The rare, raw and real you.

It’s time to peel back the layers and unearth the real you – naked, vulnerable, real, beautiful. With every layer of hiding and protection removed, you’ll encounter whatever it was that caused that layer of self protection to be built up in the first place – maybe a sense of shame, fear, hate, anger or doubt. DUKE OF SHADOWS

Cunningly clever am I, helping you discern the truth from the lie. I remind you that half truths may seem to be whole, yet in the shadows is information yet to be known. When the time is right, the light shall be bright, and confusion will give way to understanding.

You are being invited to be patient. This is a cautionary card, not to inspire concern, but rather to inspire curiosity. There is more to a situation, person, opportunity, or even an apparent absence of activity or success, than meets the eye. Shhhhhh! Can you keep a secret? It’s time to play your cards close to your chest. Soon enough, you’ll be ready to stand upon the mountain top for all to see and hear. Sometimes being less visible, less transparent, less “seen” for a time is helpful. It doesn’t mean being dishonest or deceptive, but it does mean keeping your intentions and your truths to yourself until you see the best way to attain your goals. In fact, the best way to attain your goals might be more of the “iron fist in velvet glove” approach. You might find that gentle persuasion works far better than direct confrontation, which can unintentionally inflame a situation and trigger defensive reactions in others instead of finding a way to bring resolution.

When it is time to show your hand, to reveal your intentions and speak more openly and publicly about what has been gestating, you’ll know it; but for now, let things come together away from prying eyes. Just for now, it’s time to keep a secret.

Wow, that was quite amazing, they are all to do with patience, trusting and being willing. (Have I said how much I love my cards?) How did your pick resonate for you? Only 1 sleep until Spring Equinox!!! Whoot, whoot!

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magical Monday gorgeous one! Only one more sleep until Spring Equinox! (Can you tell I’m excited?) I love Spring Equinox – well, I love all the Sabbats and Esbats to be honest, but the Spring Equinox fills me with so much hope, promise and delight as I know deep in my body that the heaviness of winter is leaving and it’s a time of rebirth, growth and glorious opportunities! This is a time when the goddess is the Maiden in all her youthful glory, the god is reaching manhood, and energy abounds. It’s also the perfect time of year to clear away all those old patterns that no longer work for your benefit, and welcome in new growth, whether spiritual, personal or financial. For those of you on my email list you will be receiving a fun and easy ritual to mark the day and really tap into that glorious energy.

On Saturday I had one of those marvelous days filled with lots of moments of joy. The sun was out, the temperature mild I went for a hike up the mountain but the trail I was on was a mud pit so needless to say I was a tad filthy and muddy by the time I got home – but it all washes off, right? (Oh yes and forgot to grab the dogs before they dashed into the house covered in mud and hopped up on the frigging sofas!) So after cleaning up their muddy mess that was all through the house, I sat out on my deck and mused about how to build a glorious pagoda (with a built in chin up bar) and a cute little workshop for all my lovely tools and I was mapping out what I am going to do with the garden (when the three feet of snow finally goes away!) I love creating sacred outdoor space with plants, water, rock and wood – little magical corners and havens where you can sit and revel in the beauty, map out your dreams or just recline and relax and let nature buzz around you.

This in turn reminded me that I wanted to get the book “Garden Witchery: Magick from the Ground Up” so I popped into one of my favourite local stores to see if they had it. Alas, no and then I had one of those “wowzer” moments! Sitting on the shelf was an Oracle deck that literally shouted at me to pick it up. Now, I am uber picky about the decks that I use and I often will sit on the floor of the store and go through a deck for an hour and still put it back on the shelf. This one though – all I can say was “I didn’t stand a chance”, this was not an invitation from Spirit, but a very clear directive. So without opening it I picked it up and as I was buying it (talk about having things validated), someone walked up to me and handed me a long thin piece of folded paper. Ummm, I don’t do drugs, I don’t want your phone number, what the heck is this – were the first thoughts that dashed through my brain, but as I gently unfolded it there was a gorgeous pressed 4 leaf clover! Whoot, whoot! A gift of a 4 leaf clover on St. Paddy’s day and the exact minute I was following a directive to get this deck. Love how life unfolds.

So guess which deck we are going to work with for this reading? Yes, you guessed it. The new one!!!!!! (She is amazing). When I got home I immediately opened her up and laughed out loud with how perfectly perfect and powerful she was. So she has been cleansed, consecrated and blessed and is the ultimate deck for this pre Spring Equinox reading. Oh yes, how rude of me not to formally introduce her, she is The Earth Warriors Oracle by the amazing Alana Fairchild. Let me read part of the introduction to you so you can get a bit of a feel for her:-

This reading was done a bit differently, only one crystal and Citrine was most adamant that she be front and centre. The cards are fanned out like rays of sunlight.

So with that in mind and the energy of Spring Equinox just around the corner, let’s crack on! I did create a lovely Equinox visualisation if you feel so inclined (think Diana Gabalden and Stonehenge), if not I invite you to take a lovely long deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Wiggle your toes and feel your feet on the floor, solid and safe, take a few glorious deep breaths in and slowly out and when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

Wow! I don’t know about you, but that was an amazing reading. A lot to do with trust, rebirth, heart based and not mind based and just how incredibly powerful and part of the Divine we all are! I thought it was interesting as well that all 3 cards that came were Hawaiian based! I particularly liked that the Pono Pono card came up, I once did this practice for 3 weeks straight and it was incredible to see what happened.
