New Moon in Pisces and the Coldest Night of the Year.

Dearest Gentle Reader,

(Yes, I know, I know – I just love how it sounds at the moment!)

We are coming to the close of February, holy hannah, another whizz bang month it feels like with a lot of turmoil and chaos swirling in the collective!

In fact it is the last Monday of February, can you believe it! And in usual Mumma Nature style the weather has gone bonkers!  Winds of 90 km/hr have been sweeping through over and over, and atmospheric rivers galore! 

In other words it is frigging breezy and wet (so please don’t tell me there is no such thing as global warming!)

Which made me think that it’s appropriate that across many communities nationally, February 25th is The Coldest Night of The Year Walk.  

This walk started in 2011 to raise funds and awareness  around homelessness (and I loathe the phrase “unhoused”) and poverty.  

The funds all go to a local charity that is on the streets and helps to fund food, clothes, support and programmes for a very vulnerable part of our communities.  

Having spent my Valentine’s Day wandering through various tent housing, sharing little love packages of gorgeous cookies, and listening to some very intense stories, I am so proud that we walk to acknowledge what we see, hear and witness.

There is no turning a blind eye and dismissing with judgement.

It reminds me how fucking blessed I am.  How blessed most of us are!

With the intense winds that can literally blow me over and the torrential rain, when I’m out with the doggos it feels challenging, but I know that I have a warm home to go back to.  I can turn on the kettle and make a nice cuppa and my clothes if wet, I can change.  

But, what if all you have is a tarp and a concrete sidewalk?  

What if there is no way to get warm and dry, let alone open your fridge or cupboard to select something to eat?

For many of us, if we go outside and it’s too cold or wet, we go back into the warmth.

Life holds no 100% guarantees at all, other than you are born, you die.  And having listened to a wee couple in their 80s on Valentines that had been on the street for just over a month due to the landlord tripling their rent………..   

It made my heart sad.  

So remember, we are part of a collective (whether you recognise it or not).  Smile at someone, take a moment to talk, offer what you can – even if it is only time.  

But we are all interconnected and it’s important to be aware of that.

Okay, now I will get off my soapbox!  Lol.  

“The Pisces New Moon on February 27th brings the last lunar cycle of the astrological year and our official entrance into Eclipse Season.

This New Moon asks us to show up as our authentic selves and trust in the innate wisdom that lives within.

What do you do best? What are your gifts and talents? Take time to celebrate your skills and all you have mastered. Acknowledge where your gifts and talents lie- and don’t say you don’t have any!

We all have things we are innately good at. So, forget societal expectations and limitations, and go deeper. Reflecting on these is a good way to inspire conscious action under the New Moon.

So with both of those things to perk, how blessed you are and the New Moon let’s crack on with the reading.

These are glorious new guides and they were adamant they wanted to come play.

They bring the full energy of the Divine Mother, Mother Mary, the Divine Feminine – you name it and they most certainly have a lot to share.

So darling one, just take a moment.  Take a moment to count your blessings, take a moment to understand that you are fully interconnected (even with the people you judge and don’t like).  Just breathe.  Allow your gorgeous heart to open and soften and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that resonate for you.

OUR LADY OF RIPENING ON THE VINE

“I ask you to surrender your future thinking to me.  Although your future contains the promise of great blessings, do not let this distract you from the blessing I bestow upon you in this moment.  I ask you to open your arms to my blessings in the here and now.  You are the sweet fruit, heavy on the vine.  The time for harvest has come.  This is your time.”

Many of us who love the Holy Mother are dreamers.  We might be practical and hard-working, attending to the details of daily life and spiritual consciousness, but we have hope in our hearts.

Yet that hope may be for the future – our future, that of our children, of our planet.

This hope is a precious light that is needed in the world.  Yet our light of hope is also needed in the here and now.  

We need to be living the Divine now, not only dreaming of a more divinely aligned life in a fantasy of the future.

Live your light now; to benefit yourself and the world with your presence.  Now.  Yes, we are always growing, yet there is a readiness within you now.  

There is something within you, something of you, that is ready.  Even if the immediate reality doesn’t match a fantasy that you have once held about how life would be when you would finally share more of yourself with the world, you are still ready and this is your time to shine.  

The Mother asks you to honour the light that is ignited within you now, and to act upon it with utter faith.  The dreamers are needed in this present moment, you see.

We can help the sacred becoming, the healing of the world according to the Divine Mother’s grace, by how we choose to be at this time.  

Now is the time to trust.  There is so much waiting for you in this moment.  

Gather your harvest.  Let your divine inheritance come to you now, as naturally as fruit ripening on the vine.

You are needed.  

OUR LADY OF THE RESURRECTION

“The eternal light dwells in my heart and as you enter into my heart, held safe in my love for  you, that light becomes visible to you.  It will show you the way through any darkness, and help you understand the purpose of past suffering, so that you can let it go and be at peace, free from confusion, shame or doubt.  There is divine purpose within all that is.  You have been struggling and now it is time for rest.  Step into the light of my heart now, beloved, and let the darkness go.  The time is drawing near for your resurrection and release.”

It is a strange paradox that when we are truly open to life, we must be prepared to die many deaths before it is time for our physical life to end.  

We might suffer the deaths of relationships, of ideals, of identities, even of certain hopes and dreams.  If we can mourn these deaths, give them proper attention and due acknowledgment, grieving in whatever way is respectful and truthful, then those deaths become sacred sacrifices on the altar of new life.

If we try to rush past these many deaths, pushing them to one side out of fear that they may mean something terrible or frightening, then we will suffer more than needs be.

Perhaps we become fearful if we feel that we are not in control of life and cannot prevent its powerful unfolding, because we do not trust where life is leading us.  Then too, we miss our chance to make a sacrifice and feel more connected with life, and with death as a natural part of life.

We don’t need to be scared, we can accept that they are signs that we are growing and life is flowing.  We can even use them to gain confidence that a new direction, a new life, is calling us.  There is always so much more to come.  Always.  No matter how old we may be, or how jaded we may feel at times, there is always boundless life awaiting us.  All that is needed is a willingness for us to be open to receiving it.  

Let Our Lady of Resurrection lift you up from even the deepest sorrow and gently urge you into new light, new understanding, and new life.

Take heed, beloved, your time of darkness is swiftly drawing to a close and a new day is soon to be upon you.

Breathe, trust, embrace.

OUR LADY OF THE ROSE CROWN

“You are my child and a royal divine being.  I protect  your spiritual deeping now, as you descend further into the living divine heart, and know all to be love.  As the mysteries reveal themselves to you now, divine rapture awaits you.  I shall keep you grounded and authentic, productive in the world that needs your light, even as I guide you into ecstatic communion with  your holy nature.”

No matter where we think we are on our spiritual path, there is always somewhere, and something deeper to experience.  

You are about to enter into another level of spiritual experience.  This new level will be appropriate and healing for you – taking you naturally along in your spiritual progress.

What might be suitable for another is unlikely to be exactly right for you.  Our Lady watches over you with all knowing tenderness and fierce protection.  Only what you need, will come to you.  

In order to be prepared, we might have to be challenged in a relationship that really stretches or breaks our heart.  In that situation we are learning to love more unconditionally, to either let the relationship go or stay with it, depending on what is right for us.  

We might experience weeks, months or even  years of not really knowing, with any certainty, if we are on the right path or living the life we are supposed to be living.  In that continued crisis, we are learning how to remain present, to remain open and to learn to trust, even in the absence of clarity.  

Or perhaps everything in our life seems to be upside down; a loved one is struggling, or our own inability to resolve an issue that has troubled us deeply for some time, and is causing us to feel almost unbearable anguish.

No matter what the crisis or challenge, the way that we learned to respond and grow through it provided us with the development that we needed to be able to sustain the next level of divine experience.  

Love is the most powerful force in our universe.  It is in everything and reveals itself in unlimited ways.  

To encounter this love, to be open to it, ready to receive it and be changed, illuminated, irradiated by it.

Our Lady of the Rose Crown comes to tell you that you have been in preparation and now the time is fast approaching, or is already upon you, whereby you are opening to more divine realisation.  No matter what you may initially think, what you are being shown right now is more of the divine in its mysterious, creative, funny and unfathomable genius.

You truly are a magnificent royal child of the Divine.  Own it!

Welcome to 2025, and Today’s Wolf Moon!

Dearest Gentle Reader,

We are slowly, quietly, calmly entering into 2025, and all that it portends! 

How are you most delicious lovely?  It feels like we haven’t connected for ages, but in reflection it has only been a few weeks!  And I will say I spent those couple of weeks facilitating The Omen Days (which is such a glorious way to enter a new year), and all the amazing women who participated really blew my hair back!

Welcome to 2025.  

I would love to tell you this will be a gentle year, but it’s going to be intense!

While our numerology points to a year of endings, astrologically, we are shown that all endings pave the way for new beginnings.  

As in 2025, we remarkably have four major planets and the lunar nodes changing signs. It is incredibly rare to have so many planets changing signs in one year, so this definitely makes 2025 stand out!

Also, remember we enter the Year of the Snake on January 29th, and if we look at the Snake it is continually shedding the old to make way for the new…..

Thus, instead of spending pages going through the above (as those of you who have signed up for Opening The Doors on 2025 will receive), let’s talk about today’s Full Moon.

Beneath the Full Moon of January 2025, something magical stirs and whispers secrets of old. The Wolf Moon brings a luminous and mysterious energy as it lights up the sky. 

January’s Full Moon meaning reminds us of our connection with the wild spirit of wolves.

The Full Wolf Moon occurs on January 13th, 2025, reaching its peak at 5:27 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

January gets its name from Janus, the Roman god of all beginnings. 

Janus is often depicted with two faces, one looking to the past and the other to the future. This makes January the perfect month for reflection and fresh starts. 

Which is why we are starting Flourish on January 18th!

If you have been sitting on the fence, there are only two spots left and you won’t regret gifting one to yourself!

As the New Year dawns, the world remains cocooned in darkness during these short, fleeting days. 

Yet, we’re hopeful as we nestle in our homes during these cozy, chilly nights. 

The Wolf Moon is a time for rituals involving inner strength, protection, and connecting with Winter’s wisdom.

There are so many rituals to do at this Moon Time that connect you to your inner strength and Winter’s Wisdom.

A simple one to do is go Howl at the Moon.

In a place where you feel comfortable, stand with your feet apart and your hands on your hips in your best superhero pose (Grey’s Anatomy fans will know what I’m talking about). Studies (like this one from Harvard) have shown that if you maintain this position for five minutes, you will perform better at a difficult task. It also helps build confidence.

However, why stop there? Think of a negative feeling or stressful situation that’s burdened you. Now, while maintaining your superhero pose, give a few big howls. Imagine that worry and negativity leaving your body. In its place is nothing but tranquil energy and peace.

This can be a wonderful way to release tension, anxiety, or heavy emotions. I mean, at minimum, it’s a big mood booster.

Okay, enough chuntering – let’s crack on with the reading.  The cards that flew out and at me this week  are the amazing Divine Circus Oracle, which made me laugh my soxs off – as with all the energies swirling and the bizarre weather patterns that are happening, the world does feel like that right now.

JOKER IS WILD

The Universe has a sense of humour, but never at your expense.  It is laughing with you, not at you.  You’ll see this for yourself as the Joker weaves her magic in your life, bringing you the grace that is beyond all reason, the necessary ingredient to ensure you win with the hand you have been dealt by life.  

There’s nothing impossible when the Joker appears.  Her wild ways can transform a losing streak into a lifelong love affair with Lady Luck.

Strap yourself in and prepare for the ride of a lifetime.  The Joker has come to you and the Joker is wild.  Unpredictable and brilliant, she brings you a message.  

You are being empowered to overcome all odds.  So you are going to win.  No doubts, no dramas, but not necessarily in a way that you expect either!  

She is sending the best possible situation to you even now.  It might startle you, like a sudden light in the middle of the night, but it will be welcome nonetheless.

The Joker is the highest trump card to beat all others.  

No matter how much another may seem to have the upper hand, or how many forces seem to be against you, even if you feel like a lone wolf about to be mauled by a pack of hungry lions, the Joker always wins.  

She comes out of the blue, and changes destiny from darkness to light.  She brings the brilliant solution that ends a problem, the way through that is best and brightest.  

You probably won’t see it coming.  It will probably be in a way that subverts everything you once believed to be true. 

But it will be a welcome trick by the Universe, a loving joke that opens your heart and helps you realise that this vast impersonal universe personally knows and cares for you, so intimately and with such meticulous care. 

Just don’t expect to feel in control of the process, for the Joker is wild and moves according to her own genius, but always blesses you with what will work best, beyond compare, now and always.  

RED COUNTESS

Deep within, you know what is true and what to do (or not do).  Yet there is so much noise and distraction in the world, and even at times in our own minds, that listening for our inner wisdom can seem like trying to hear gentle birdsong in the midst of a rock concert.  

Even so, you are hearing an inner truth, and deep down, you know it.  Can you trust that it is safe to not only hear your inner voice but act on it too?

There is something that you know.  You’ve felt, sensed, heard or realised this truth more than once.  Even if others see or feel differently, you just know what you know, even if you don’t quite know how you know it!  

Give your truths value.  Hold your feelings and insights in high enough esteem to pay attention to them, to give yourself time to process what you think, feel and sense. 

Know that they’re worth acting on, even if that action just means to trust more and stop worrying.   

If you cannot figure out what your inner truths are, or you feel confused by conflicting thoughts and feelings, torn between head and heart, then you are in a state of information overload.  

You need to switch off, discharge some excess mental and emotional energy and take a break.  Give yourself some time out from the crazy noise and constant distractions of the world so you can get in touch with what is true for you.

SILVER SIREN

When is an enchantment not enchanting?  When it is a spell that you allow to consume your free will, even as it promises so much and yet delivers so little.  

The Silver Siren sings her song, a pretty poison to the soul.  Her false allure tempts the mind, even whilst the heart feels that something is not quite right.  

Your power will come from discerning the truth and allowing her false promises no place in your heart.

If you compromise your integrity you will find that what you have obtained was not worth the price you paid for it, no matter how much you believed it would be otherwise.  It simply will not be worthwhile.  

The Silver Siren is a false light that is so very enticing but so destroying.  To disempower the false light, you must stay true to what your heart says. 

No matter how much you may fear you’ll regret it later on, simply say no to that which is unworthy, to that which does not hold the truth of love within.  Even if a person declares that they are utterly enlightened and only interested in your highest good; even if the opportunity at hand is “too good to miss”, making your mind needy and confused, follow your heart – if it’s not a Hell Yes, it’s a NO!

You are being given an opportunity for empowerment.  It is time to trust yourself and stand firm with your truths, and to experience the priceless sense of love, safety, security, peace and self-possession that this brings.  

With this, your soul can sing its own song, a song that shares true light, the lightness of a heart that lives in peaceful truth with the world.

The Practice of Presence and leaning into the Pause. Solstice is Coming!

Happy Magickal, Meteoric, Meretricious, Moodling, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday!

How are you gorgeous one?  I hope you are not getting your tinsel in a tangle or allowing your lights to get zapped as the holiday season approaches.

This week we are going to explore leaning into the Pause, that space that allows us to take a breath, reflect, just BE and BE open to inviting in something new, (which is all the various energies at this time!)  But before we dive into that…….

First off, apologies as quite a few of you said you never received the invitation to the Omen Day’s Journey that went out last week.  Most peculiar as some of you did receive it and others didn’t.  

However, don’t fret pet, there is still time to join this year’s amazing Omen Day’s journey, as we have a gathering on Solstice to tap into that delicious energy and open the container, and then we start on December 26th.

So if you have been looking for a more meaningful way to close the year, and get insights into 2025, this is for you!

Yesterday we had the final Full Moon of 2024 in Gemini which was a huge (note that word) RELEASE Moon.  And the interesting thing with this moon is we experienced a lunar rarity.

What do I mean?  In other words we experienced a Major Lunar Standstill which only happens every 18.6 years.  

This means that the moon rises and sets at its northernmost and southernmost positions on the horizon which creates this standstill energy as it is visible far longer than any of the other moons.  

A standstill, a pause, a suspension if you will……..

Then let’s look at the Christian season of Advent, which invites us to see that waiting and expectation have power. 

This is counter to our instant gratification culture. 

When we not only wait, but prepare ourselves for what may be, we can be more open and ready to receive whatever arrives.  A pause, a stillness, a presence.  

Yet us glorious humans rush from one thing to the next, not allowing that space to be empty.

Sometimes we don’t even acknowledge all our growth and progress, because we have to keep filling the space.  And in the holiday season it ramps up even more.  

Which reminds me of a glorious quote from Howard Thurman that says:

In the stillness of quiet, if we listen, we can hear the whisper of the heart giving strength to weakness, courage to fear, hope to despair………..

So can you practise being Present, Leaning into the Pause and just saying Woosah?

Now enough chuntering from me, let’s crack on with the reading.   When I went to the cards to ask who would like to be present this week it made my heart smile to see who showed up.  The amazing Faery Blessing guides were most adamant.  As after all, who doesn’t need a Blessing?

Now if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce them as it would be rude not to.

Faeries are present in every droplet of water, every blade of grass – they are everywhere there is a trace of nature – thus every field, flower, and forest is theirs.  They inhabit the wild rainforests and the old castles; they dance within standing stones and burial mounds; they are on the top of mountains and within the grove deep in the valley; and they appear in the cracks in the pavement and beneath the cities in the old, tangled tree roots.  Faeries are part of this world, and they were here before we were born into this world, and they know us better than we know ourselves.  

For humans, many of us have lost our sense of play, our sense of relationship with nature, our courage to be ourselves – as well as our hope, creativity, and personal power.  We have looked outside of ourselves and nature and the sacred ones for answers, and in doing so, we have become quite lost.  The blessings of the faeries can bring us back into relationship with ourselves, back into relationship with the elements and the elementals, so that we can become more at home within the world, while creating a personal world which supports our dreams, our wishes, and our purpose.  

Yes!  Positively perfect!

So gorgeous one take a breath.  Just a normal breath and then as you carry on breathing allow it to slow down.  Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.  Allow in your mind’s eye a gorgeous rainbow swirl to form, this pattern is made of release, stillness and peace.  

It gently removes the heaviness and invites you into the ease and the quiet and it melds with the abundance and appreciation of who you are.  As you breathe just let it swirl, you don’t have to control it.

The Faery Gift of Being the Ruler of Your Own World

With this faery gift from the formidable and enchanting faery queen, Queen Mab, comes the blessing of being the owner of your own life.  This is a powerful blessing indeed, for with this blessing comes the most precious gift of all, that of knowing that your life is yours to live.  

With this blessing, let you now take up the reins of your life, let you decide what it is you do, and who it is you are, and who you are now becoming.  It is your life, this wild and sweet thing, to be lived only once, and it is rare and priceless.  You shall no longer be owned, nor forced, nor pushed, nor pulled, for with her gift comes the solidity of determining your own fate – for you are a being who has often been pressured to give away the crown that declares that you are the sovereign.  With this blessing, it is returned to you.

Let yourself be a queen, a king, and know your world is as great as any other person’s.  Your life is a jewel, and no more shall you spend it pleasing others.  When this blessing comes to you, all who you know you will love and support you, and you will now take back the power that you gave away.  You will climb the stairs to your throne and look upon your world and know that you will be a strong leader of your own soul.  And you will inspire others to do the same.

With this gift from Queen Mab will come the sure knowledge of what is wise for you to do, and what would be foolish, and to know the difference between pleasing others and doing what is in the very best interest of the path of your soul.

You faery friend, are a magnificent being, and your life, your world, and your very being are royal.  Be most loyal to your ownself, and know now the gift of great and deep self-respect, and of choosing what is right for you.

A BLESSING OF THE WILD WITHIN

The Faery Gift of the Untamed Heart

Within you is a wild place, a place that is pure and untouched by conditioning and should and should-nots……and it is to this place the faery blessing of the wild within comes and rests and takes root within you this day.

This blessing is a calling back to your wild self, to the self that has been shaped and pummelled by the forces of family and culture and manner and jobs and timetables and by all of the things in the human world that can cage us..

And so the fae offer you this shining blessing, which returns you for a moment to your own wild within, so you can remember what it felt like to be natural, to be unthinking and uncensored, to be innocent and dancing, to move when called to, to have that primal, instinctual self take hold and fly with you.

When this blessing comes, let that wild within flow all the way through  you, and find places and spaces in your life to allow the wild within to have its moment – dance without fear of judgement; speak, words falling like waterfalls from your lips; sing and use the voice the great gift of nature has offered you; and never feel awkward or strange or like you do not fit in…..

Instead knowing you are a deep part of all that is around you, and that somehow, by your very presence, you ignite a little of that wild within inside every soul you meet.

May the blessings of that wild within offer you a return to the natural, most innate parts of you, and let them arise and dance and sing and be loving towards all.

Let the untamed heart of you warm all that is about you, and bring you back to that sense of deep belonging to the earth, and to the stars.

A BLESSING OF A SAFE PLACE IN THE WORLD

The Faery gift of a Sanctuary, a space in which to feel completely supported and loved.

The Faeries know what it is like to find the safe places in the world – for theirs are under siege, and have been for such a long time.  The faeries know how to find the little home in the forest or the garden that is growing wild, the roots of old trees and the hollows beneath the sacred hills.

In these places, they have grown stronger and stayed safe, and they now transfer to you a part of this gift.  You will now find places and spaces within the world where you will feel free to be completely yourself, where you, too, can grow strong and bright again, and need have no fear.

Let there be a shelter and a sanctuary for you and your soul, where you can learn what it is you are meant to do next, and where there is no harsh word spoken, only guidance that can help ease us all into the next stage of our lives.

Let the safe spaces become our homes and our workplaces, our friendships and our schools.  

Let the world become a safer space, and let the natural world shelter you with her turnings and showings of the changes about you.

Make not a fortress of this space you find, but let it begin to grow in your heart, so that wherever you go, others feel safe with you, and the world changes, in small but bright and beautiful ways, all as a result of this blessing of the faeries.

Joy, Grief and Mercury Retrograde…..

How are you – really?

I ask as I truly want to know.  Our patterns of processing anger, fear, change, anxiety, joy and grief are not linear.  We don’t work through them daily from point A to point B and then tada – we are fine!.

So how do we feel what we need to feel and not get submerged or lost in it all?

I think it’s exceptionally important to ask oneself “What am I willing to feel or do at this moment in time?”  

An example.  As some of you know my Mothership died 5 months ago and within the space of 5 days my family of origin fragmented and was filled with attack, dysfunction and the most ridiculous behaviour I have witnessed from grown arsed adults.  Which left me to do the majority of the packing up of things, as there was only 3 weeks to do it in.

The dysfunction and attacks were so brutal that I postponed the Celebration of Life to allow those individuals to try and get their poop in a group – which still hasn’t happened.  Thus, we are moving ahead with a Celebration this Saturday.

Why am I sharing all this?

Because, to help me be able to do all the pieces that have needed to happen after her death and planning and organising the celebration of life (as the sibling has left it all to me), I put my grief in a box and stuffed it in the back of the closet.

After all, there was so much to do, right?

So the Grief got stuffed and in the midst of that stuffing there have been so many pockets of Joy!

Going on my month-long Odyssey through Ireland and the UK.  Coming home to my family cooking an amazing Thanksgiving dinner.  Playing in my garden.  Hiking with the dogs.  The work that I love.  Planning and implementing a surprise birthday gathering for my only girl the other weekend.  Bowling for my son Sam’s birthday this weekend. 

But yet the Grief kept wriggling in the box and finally blew the lid off on Tuesday.

I woke up bright and early, and Grief came rushing in, along with anger, resentment towards my sibling, abandonment, feeling overwhelmed – you name it and I sobbed for most of the day.  I walked and sobbed, I wrote and sobbed, it all just felt like too much.

There were still so many things to do, to organise to get ready for this Celebration of Life, what the fuck man!

So I took myself and the doggos for a massive walk in the pouring rain and within minutes there was a huge rainbow glistening against the dark clouds and a wee voice reminded me – acknowledge the Joy, find the Joy, pause and feel it.

Which I did.  It was tiny, but the glimmer was there.

Then as I curled up into a ball and my dogs came and snuggled, there was another glimmer, and within two days I was coming back to centre.

So I decided to take that grief, anger, and all the myriad of other feelings along with the Joy and create something.  I gathered a bunch of driftwood, I sat on the ground and I built a 3 foot high Rememberance Tree for the Motherships service.  

Yes, I got cold and wet.  Yes it felt fabulous to take that energy and funnel it into something creative and honouring.  

So with the holidays coming up in the States (Thanksgiving), and then Christmas – for many, the holiday season is full of joy and connection; for others it can be a painful reminder of what’s missing. 

Perhaps you’ve lost someone you love, or maybe you’re grieving the end of a relationship or the loss of a job.  You may be living far from family or grieving the recent election. 

When we don’t allow ourselves to feel pain, we also stifle the experience of joy.

So, grieving well means having resilience for feeling the pain, but also knowing that you are okay, that you will make it through, and, as a result, that you will experience both immense pain and immense joy.

Remember, whatever it is you’re holding, it’s valid and can be acknowledged in a way that feels personal and meaningful to you.  

Find something that you do daily that is the tether to guide you back to Joy.  

What is that for you?  

How do you bring yourself back to centre and reconnect to something bigger than yourself that loves you to pieces?

And remember – Mercury Retrograde starts November 25th and goes through until December 15th.

So instead of giving it a bad spin, let’s reframe it.

While Mercury is moving through the underworld, it is a good time to slow down, go back over things, revisit the past, and pay attention to subconscious thoughts and programming. 

Mercury retrograde can be a healing and highly intuitive time when we use it this way.

Re-visit, Re-envision, Re-lease, Re-imagine.

When we slow down and take in the big picture we can do that, yes?

So with all that being said – let’s crack on with the reading.  When I went to the cards to ask who wanted to share their wisdom and insight with you this week, the glorious “Love Your Inner Goddess” guides came out big and bold.  Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as it would be rude not to).

So gorgeous one, breathe.  Just breathe, BE and allow yourself to relax, your mind to calm, your breath to slow and ask your wise inner self – what do I need to know this week.  Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that tug at your heartstrings – don’t let your mind pick!

ANGEL OF TRUTH

The truth wants to be told, needs to be heard.  It may seem like the whole world wants to believe in a lie, and so you wonder if you are crazy, if you are the only one who is thinking differently and desiring the real story to emerge.  Yet those that fight against the truth are even more in need of it!  There can be no healing, no freedom, no moving one without it.  

You are going to be blessed with a truth revealed, a realisation about yourself, the world or others that will bring you relief.  It will happen at the right time.  It will set your soul free.  

Sometimes, the lies we are repeatedly told become so familiar that we forget that they are lies and begin to believe that they are real.  Maybe it’s someone judging us that is the lie.  Maybe it’s advertising and the media, which are often more about deceptive manipulation that a source of correct information.  Whatever the source, all untruth teaches us the same thing – that we must be afraid and hate each other.  

When we are fed so  many false truths, it can become hard to remember what real truth feels like.  It can even start to seem like the truth doesn’t matter as much as being able to convince another person to accept your point of view.  This is like poison for the soul.

The soul needs truth like your body needs air.  It keeps it alive.  Deep in your soul, you know what is true, and you know when you, or anyone else, is not being truthful.  You are sensitive enough to know that only truth feels good for you.  You must give yourself permission to be truthful with your own soul and live honestly, authentically and bravely in this world.  It is the only way for you to be really you.  

QUEEN OF HEARTS

Your heart has been chosen by the Divine to be a temple for spiritual light, an inner place where grace and healing can dwell.  This is very special.  A temple is kept clean and pure, scented with sacred perfumes of incense, made beautiful with our feelings uncluttered and spacious so that as much spiritual presence as possible can enter.

When spirit enters and fills the temple of the heart, things of extraordinary beauty take place.  Even the seemingly impossible becomes possible.  Clear your heart temple with forgiveness, gratitude and love for the spirit, so it can fulfil its divine destiny of being a sacred channel for beautiful divine grace.

The mind may believe it has got the power to rule, but, in truth, the heart is queen.  You are a true goddess of love, one who consults the heart for answers.  You will courageously follow the guidance of the heart.  Even when the mind doesn’t want to surrender to the call of the heart, and fearfully lists numerous reasons why it is crazy and stupid and will end badly, you know that the doubt of the mind is no match for the power of the heart.  

Things don’t need to make sense to your mind or to anyone else, they just need to make sense to your heart.  You are already a divine queen, your heart aflame with passionate purpose.  Stay true to your heart’s wisdom and you will change the world!

EARTH GODDESS

To live the dream, we have to surrender the fantasy.  This can be painful.  It feels like the end – when, in fact, it is the beginning.  Once the pain passes, there is the joy of what we have yearned for coming to life.  It may not be as perfect as the fantasy, but it will be real, and it can nourish us.  We can build our appetite for life with dreams, but we cannot be fed by them.  

The soul requires real life experience to become fully alive, to have experiences and grow.  There’s a fantasy that wants to become reality for you.  Don’t let a few gritty moments or human imperfections prevent you from experiencing the joy of heaven on Earth.

You have beautiful dreams and wonderful visions of what life could be.  It is not enough to imagine them.  You want to live them!  This is exactly how you are meant to feel.  For that to happen, you must practise feeling grounded, taking practical earthly steps, one at a time, to bring your dreams to life.

The Universe will send so much help your way, but you are the one who must take the steps.  Spirit cannot do that for you.  Even if you are not sure how your biggest, boldest dreams can come together, you can still ask  yourself, “What is it that I can do now?”

Remember you are an Earth Goddess.  You have the power to manifest your visions, to bring your beautiful ideas to life in the world.  This is what you are here to do.  Remember to love yourself enough to recognise your creative power and use it joyfully each day.  

Fuck yes!  Glorious guides for this time.  Wishing you all a stupendous week and there will not be a reading next week as I need to be present in this experience, see you in December.  Huge hugs and be gentle with yourself, and find your glimmers and Joy moments and hold them tight.

Oh my giddy aunt, it’s good to be back!

As most of you know I went off for a month and trekked Ireland and a good chunk of the UK (the cool spots).

Someone asked me the other day (appreciating I have been home just under 2 weeks), how was your vacation?  

This wasn’t a vacation, it was an Odyssey, a trip to rediscover paternal and maternal places.  To meet glorious Irish cousins that I have never seen face to face, to explore sacred sites and to scatter some of my Mum’s ashes in places she loved in Yorkshire.  

Have to say it was epic and I’m still processing it.

As there have been so many pivotal moments on every level!

So I’m so glad to be back in time for Samhain, and I have spent some time in the garden (as it went nuts whilst I was away).

I harvested what was needed, and cut away those things that weren’t needed, and weeded out a shed ton so that the ground is open, receptive and ready for planting.

But that’s the energy of- Samhain (pronounced So-ween) and it is my most favourite celebration of the year.

I will be honest I frigging love, love, love Samhain as it is the epitome of endings and beginnings.  This is a transformative time of year.

When you connect with this potent energy, and let it guide you in your soul work, you can create lasting growth & change in your life.

Now if this way of looking at what you know as our Western Culture “Halloween” is new to you, and you are thinking – Jenn WTF?

As in our Western Culture we think of Halloween as the “spooky time”, kids get dressed up and go looking for tricks or treats throughout the neighbourhood.  Pumpkins are carved with faces to scare and there is a sense of celebration in the air.  

Yet funnily enough Samhain (which is where our Halloween originated) is more than one day.  

We have All Hallows Eve, which starts at dusk on the 31st and then on November 1st we have All Saints Day, and on November 2nd it is All Souls day, or Dia de Los Muertos.  All of which are a celebration of death and those who have passed and new beginnings.  

Think about it, when we were an agricultural based community, this was the time when the harvest would have all been brought in, the days were getting shorter and it was a time to move into the darkness.  

This is the sacred time marking the end of the harvest season. It’s the time of Death in nature.  This is the time of year when we acknowledge, and honour, the role that Death plays in the cycle of Life.

You cannot continue to evolve, and birth new life, without experiencing Death.

This is the time of honouring your ancestors and inviting their help and support.  

It’s a place of reflection and  celebration.  It’s a time of spiritually slowing down!

If you remember, at Equinox the energy was still mingled with summer, our inner & outer worlds swirling around each other; a time of finding balance between the two.

And I will say I celebrated Equinox climbing a huge Tor in Ireland and participating in a dawn ceremony.  

Now, at Samhain it’s clear that our inner world is overtaking our outer. 

Day is turning to night as we move into the dark side of the wheel of the year. This is where the energy turns inward, and things need to die on the outside in order to do that.

Samhain celebrates that Death.

But what does this mean for you personally?  How does it benefit you?

Turn Inwards.  This is the time where you can make peace with yourself and to get comfortable  with your inner life. This is where the work is for the next few months.  It’s a place of being in a neutral mind and just observing.

Embrace the darkness.  By embracing the darkness you learn not to fear the darkness. 

There’s a lot of beauty in these dark days. Embrace it. Magic is born in the darkness.

And as you turn inward, don’t be afraid to look at your dark parts–be an observer. No judgement. What do your shadows want to show you?

Release whatever needs to die.  If you are brave enough to look at the darkness, to listen to what it has to tell you, you discover parts of yourself you need to let go of in order to grow & evolve.

This is where we leave behind the things that we’ve outgrown. Welcome the mystery & the possibilities of the space that it creates in your life.

This is a powerful time for magic & manifestation. What new dreams will be born to replace the leaves that you’ve let go of?

Be gentle with yourself.  Being brave enough to journey into the darkness requires really mindful nurturing & self-compassion. This is hard inner work. It requires you to be so gentle & loving & kind to yourself over the next few months.

In perfect divine timing, at Samhain we are entering the feminine/yin side of the wheel of the year.

Yin energy is restful. It’s gentle & nurturing. It’s intuitive & receptive.

So my gorgeous bean, that is how it benefits you when you move in rhythm with Mama Gaia and the seasons.  

Now with all that being said, and as I want to go play and celebrate (and if you have actually read this far lol), let’s crack on with the reading.

The guides that decided to come and play with us all for this All Hallows Eve surprised me.  They are the glorious guides of the Sacred Forest.  

Now if these are new to you, please let me introduce them (as not to do so would be rude!)

At the edge of the mind awaits the holy wilderness of the soul.  It beckons you, like a great forest filled with vast mysteries and wonders.  While this mystical realm exists in a higher dimension, beyond normal reality, it is real nevertheless.  To enter this mystical realm, it’s simply a matter of having an open heart and an open mind.  

In this healing and holy place, long-sought answers to your deepest questions become known.  Ancient wisdom emerges.  Revelations about your future are revealed.  Hidden talents and abilities are activated with you.  It’s a place where miracles unfold, and your spirit can fly.  In the deepest sense you remember who you are.  

Okay gorgeous bean, here we are starting to step into All Hallows Eve, the start of Samhain.  The place of release and moving into the warm, feminine darkness that nurtures and supports.  I invite you to take a long, deep, luxurious breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.  Let your face relax, your jaw relax and the worries of the day drop to the floor like leaves from autumnal trees.  

Then I invite you to see in your mind’s eye a glorious warm dark night sky, you feel safe, you feel supported and held and as the clouds pull away  you see stars that will guide you.  Breathe that in.  Allow this gorgeous Feminine Darkness to gently wrap around you and guide you and then when you are ready pick a card or cards that call to you.

FOREST TEMPLE

Enlightenment

The sound of delicate chanting fills the forest.  You follow the sound, as you walk down a meandering path into a small clearing.  Before you, a forest temple becomes visible.  As you get closer, it feels that the chanting is penetrating deep into your soul.  Something seems to be shifting within you.  Everything is the same, yet everything is somehow different.

Meditate on the light within you and around you.  Connect with the ever-present of the Divine.  Right now your awareness is increasing.  Your ability to understand the world is shifting.  More and more, you can see situations from all points of view, and this creates an expansion in all parts of your life.

We can often get stuck in seeing the world from only your personal point of consciousness, which is dramatically restricting possibilities for you.  A one-sided adamant view of life can block a vast influx of light, joy, and connection to the Creatrix.  

Strict adherence to your beliefs can obstruct wonderful opportunities from flooding your life.  Be willing to step outside your limited points of view and see the world from the others’ perspectives, and your life will expand.  

With enlightenment, you’ll feel the expansion from a limited sense of self to an awareness of the cosmos around you.  That loves you.  

Positive changes are coming.  You are lightening up; feel buoyant and free.  Your connection to Spirit is deepening if you allow it.  Old beliefs about who you are and what you deserve in life are falling away, replaced by incredible new paths. 

EAGLE SPIRIT

Freedom

Eagle Spirit invites you onto her back, and you dwindle in size so that you can climb on.  You hold on to the down beneath her feathers as she soars higher and higher.  The forest looks smaller and smaller, yet you can see so clearly as you ascend above the clouds.  You have never felt so free!

It’s time to break free and let your spirit fly!  Be daring as you go beyond predictable behaviour.  Fling your arms up to the heavens in joy.  

Also, pay attention when you have let life or others restrict  your freedom.  Recognising this is the first step to reclaiming your power.  Don’t allow yourself to be trapped by convention or the expectations of others.  The truth is that you aren’t here on this earth to be ordinary, but to step beyond limitations and self-imposed boundaries.

You have the ability to choose  your life on your terms.  Perhaps you aren’t always free to create the exact circumstances of your life – but you’re certainly able to decide what meaning to give those situations.  Select meanings that empower you, for this is the time to break free.  Hold the intent that boundless freedom surges through you, and so it shall.

This is the time to express yourself.  Don’t hold back.  Choose life on your terms.

Don’t be trapped by the expectations of others.

DAFFODIL FAIRY

New Beginnings

You feel a tap on your shoulder, and in a flash of yellow, you see a Daffodil Fairy fly by you.  In a high, sweet voice she says, “The best is yet to be!  It’s time for a new beginning!”  With glee, you race after her into the forest.

Life goes in cycles.  Just as spring follows winter, a new cycle is beginning in your life.  In the phases of the earth, the plants die in the fall so that there can be new birth in the spring – it’s the universal dance of death and rebirth.  There’s a time to end and begin, and this is the close of one cycle and the beginning of another.

We associate the daffodil with spring, as it is one of the first flowers to emerge after the snows.  Its shape echoes the feeling of trumpeting in the new season; its colour suggests vitality, radiance, and sunshine.  

It’s time to wipe the slate clean; it’s time to release the old and start again.

It can be difficult to release familiar routines, situations, or relationships when they no longer empower you; however, your higher self encourages you to not cling to the old, but set sail into new waters.  If you find yourself afraid to let go, you are urged to face your fear and allow yourself to stretch in a new direction.

The Creatrix is at your side, and wonderful opportunities will be born in your life.  Wholeness occurs when you can say yes to both endings and beginnings.

It’s time to start a new project or a new cycle.  Life force and vitality are emerging.  Release that which doesn’t serve and support you.  Make way for a new start!

Lol, you seriously can’t make this shit up!  Sorry if swearing offends you, but you can’t!  Wishing for you a beautiful Samhain, give yourself the Magickal Book of Samhain if you feel called, but most importantly take the invitation that is being offered of stepping into the dark (in the Western Hemisphere) and really embrace yourself.
