Beltane and Mayday reading! May 1st Weekly Reading.

Happy glorious May Day and Beltane! Yes, it is May 1st and the celebration of Beltane.

What is Beltane you might ask – ahhhh grasshopper let me explain.

Beltane was thought to be one of the more important festivals of the Gaelic calendar. Beltane celebrates the height of Spring and the flowering of life. The Goddess manifests as the May Queen and Flora. The God emerges as the May King and Jack in the Green. The danced Maypole represents Their unity, with the pole itself being the God and the ribbons that encompass it, the Goddess. Colors are the Rainbow spectrum. Beltane is a festival of flowers, fertility, sensuality, and delight. If you have never seen a proper Maypole dance done, I highly recommend it. It is normally danced by girls with flowers woven into their hair and as they dance they weave in and out and through whilst holding onto their gorgeous ribbon. It’s moving artistry and glorious fun! The Beltane fires of yore were a time of revelry, pairing and celebrating fertility (there were lots of babies born 9 months after the celebrations!)

Cattle would be led between two fires for protection and to encourage a strong, fertile herd. People believed the smoke and the ashes from the Beltane fires offered protection and fertility. Holy wells were visited and feasts were had. Sounds like quite a jolly time all in all to me!

So with the thought of Spring and flowers in your mind, let’s crack on with this week’s reading and see who wants to come work with you this week. MAVEN OF MASKS

Who do you want to be? Try that self on for size! You might just discover another genuine facet of you, beyond your known identity. The Maven of Masks tells you, “Act as you wish to be, and so you shall be!”

Have you ever felt the liberation of feeling like a different person when on holiday, travelling in another part of the world or stepping into a world where people don’t know you? The masks have come off and you get to choose who you are going to be. You might feel unfamiliar ways of being – more assertiveness, more confidence, more vulnerability, more feminine or masculine energy – all rising up from within you. It is time to ‘try another personality for size’, to see how much of it ends up being authentically you, just a newly discovered you, but true nonetheless. If you want to discover new qualities in you, you are going to have to start somewhere. Believe, first of all, that you have undiscovered depths and diversity in you.

Second, you have to play – not play-acting, but playing. What is it like to show up for life as if you already have all the courage and sass you long for, or all the creativity and confidence you yearn for? See yourself as that person, as having those qualities. Otherwise, you are like a bird who is yet to fly. It’s in you, but you have to have faith first, and act as if you do. The bird who has never flown has it in him to fly, but he has to make the leap of faith to realise this for himself.

NEBULA WARRIOR

There are advocates for love on this earth, those that are passionate defenders of the freedom for all beings to grow and fulfil their divine destiny. These warriors for the soul know they can either use darkness to serve the growth of the light, or allow it to consume their sense of hope, trust and faith in the right outworking of the destiny of all living things. You are being initiated in the ways of working with darkness constructively, to become a soul warrior with all living beings.

Some things in life are worth fighting for – but how do you fight with love? How do you fight without becoming bitter, hateful, tired, disconnected from the whole reason you needed to fight in the first place? To be a warrior for love and the soul, you have to be smart. You have to know how to fight without fighting, how to use the natural darkness on this planet as a way to birth a new consciousness that is unafraid. Nebula Warrior isn’t afraid of the dark. She isn’t interested in the rules of war established by fear-loving minds. She creates her own rules, not based on what people want her to believe, but based on what works to keep her free and liberate the minds and hearts of all beings.

She comes to you now because whatever situation needs healing in your life, or in the world, you have the power to bring it about. If you go for the goal directly, trying to force a change, you will be putting your considerable energy into pursuit and unintentionally set up resistance and repulsion. Guiding rather than forcing the solution to come into being , is a more effective use of your power. Do what you can do, each day. If you cannot do something you want to do, ask for help from the universe and then let it go. When you need rest, take it. You are a warrior of love and you will win any and every war, through cool compassion and smart, simple strategy.

THE JUGGLER

Many projects in the air; aspirations and inspirations everywhere. Action to take, commitments to make and yet another will soon join the fray! Say yes, do not delay. It will all work out in the perfect way.

You are capable of many things and you are too important an asset to the plan of love on this planet to be left idle. So life, the universe and your own creative urges will ask a lot of you. There will be many inspirations, ideas and dreams that you will yearn to bring to life in the world. You might wonder if it’s all a bit too much for any one person to handle. You might feel you are juggling so much already that if even one more demand or idea comes through, you’ll drop the balls already in the air, and the whole damn thing will come undone!

The Juggler is the master multi-tasker. He brings the skills wisdom and tricks you need to not only successfully bring to life all your current dreams and ideals, but to be open to even more flowing through you. If you feel overwhelmed, you are letting yourself get ahead of yourself, allowing your mind to move too far into the future. Bring it back to now, to just what can be done now. Let tomorrow take care of itself. Prioritise, what do you need to do most today, and what can be left until later? Remember to ask for help and remember that your individual success is actually part of the greater group success. The universe wants you to succeed. It will keep an eye on the pots on the boil whilst you stir the one that is bubbling over now. You are going to manage all that is going on in your life if you remember to stay present and relax, deal with what is immediately happening and not worry about any other distractions. You’ll not only handle all that’s currently going on, but when another opportunity heads your way, you’ll add it to the mix with grace!

Weekly Reading April 24th and nearly New Moon!

Happy, happy delicious Monday and so good to be back! Quite a few of you were delightfully delicious and emailed me at the beginning of last week saying – “Help! I have missed your reading, what has happened?” I really appreciated that, and as I said in the reading of April 10th I was taking time on Easter weekend to connect with my wonderful family and just play. Which is exactly what I did. We hiked, explored the woods, had a 2 km egg hunt, made glorious food, napped and just relished the relaxed time together, it was frigging awesome! I hope you too had a glorious Easter weekend and found time to relax, laugh and didn’t eat too much chocolate (I have to say I didn’t eat any this year!!)

So here we are and it’s nearly New Moon (which happens on April 26th)! Whoot! I love planting my seeds of intention and desire at New Moon. It’s a glorious way to remind myself what I am really choosing to manifest, be, do and have in my life as I believe it is important to embody one’s intentions and desires. For example, if one of my desires was to feel more “present and centred”, then it is up to me to do something towards that, such as making time daily to meditate, go walk in the woods, write, paint, dance or just watch a ridonculous movie that makes me laugh out loud. So setting my intentions and New Moon wishes are great for keeping me on track and accountable, in a quirky way. If you need to know more on how to harness this great energy, then pop on over here. So even though we have had tons of rain, I figure that is perfect for planting seeds, yes?

Okay, let’s crack on. Remember, as always I highly encourage you to take a brief chunk of time for yourself and just get relaxed, breathe into your belly and be willing to be open. COME TO LIFE

You are the most sacred of all sacred artworks. You are bringing yourself to life now and this is how it must be. Of course something being essential doesn’t mean it will always be easy. You must support yourself and have courage during this process. Your monkey mind is not to run the show. It might have a lot to say and at times it seems very convincing, but it is not the one in charge. Your mind can inspire you with ideas. However, it is the real you that speaks through your rebellious sacred heart and is living your life, not the monkey mind. The mind is not much more than a swirling cacophony of habitual reactions.

Coming to life means feeling. It might bring joy but it could equally bring sadness, rage or fear. It could bring all of these and more. Feelings will come and go quite swiftly when allowed to flow. You might need to paint, write, enact ritual, sing or dance your feelings to help the energy flow. Don’t hold back. Create the space for yourself to do it. In this process you are uncovering the artistry of the universal creator. The message you are being given is “BE ALIVE”! Don’t imagine you can go back to sleep. You are too awake for that now. There is no falling back into old ways. If you do so, it will be short lived and won’t feel the same as it used to.

You may grieve this. You will certainly (eventually) celebrate it. You have crossed the threshold from an old way of being in an old life and try as you might, you cannot return. It is better to let it go. There is another adventure awaiting you now. You need a deeper connection to your own instincts, body, feelings and intuition so that you can receive this new calling. You can trust in it, too. Embrace it and it will embrace you.

NEW BIRTH, GUARDED VIGILANTLY

In every creative process, in every birth, in every opening of a new cycle of life, there is a time of vulnerability. This vulnerability is natural and appropriate. It is the foal learning to become steady on its legs Those legs will become remarkably powerful in time, but the process of growth and maturity has to take place, and that requires some wobbly first attempts. It cannot be any other way.

Within you, there is fresh new life emerging like a vibrant green shoot rising up from the earth. This new life is in need of your attention and your care. This could be a new relationship that needs tending with interest and kindness. It could be a new idea that you need to nurture into fullness, because it is going to hold special purpose for your life path. You will not always need to cloak that which is young. Soon enough it will be able to stand up for itself, but for now, your vigilance and care is most certainly required.

Hug your ideas to yourself as though they were a new lover you cannot bear to share with another. In time the world will be the lover receiving the love in your idea. For now, it is for you to love, for you to hold and for you to observe. Keep your sanctuary pure, this may be your room, a sacred place you visit, your own body, into which you retreat in relaxation or meditation. Sometimes you will find that others have taken up residence in your sanctuary. It is time to focus on the purity, light, love and compassion that dwells within you. Everything else will come and go, and that is just fine. But the purity within your sanctuary is eternal. Firmly denounce any intrusion upon the new life by doubt, fear or sabotage.

CONSCIOUS CONNECTIONS

There is a call for more intimacy in your immediate relationships. There is an opening for heart to heart communication that can salvage and restore a broken relationship or friendship, if you are willing to honour your differences and look to what unites you. We are not here to judge each other, just to love, to be loved, and to let go of those that cannot accept us as we open up to those who can. It may or may not be obvious at first but kindred spirits are going to enter your life to help you connect with your deeper feelings and creativity. They will give wings to your inspirational ideas and big dreams.

Sometimes webs that have joined people together are broken and that is appropriate as people may outgrow what once held them together. Sometimes the ties that bind us together are so strong that they are able to withstand a great deal of pressure and still remain intact. The webs of connection between us will sever or sustain, based on the higher wisdom of life itself. Either way, healing happens in the resolution of our feelings and we are once again able to feel free, forgive and be ready to move on to the next stage of relating either with a person who has been in connection with us for a time, or with someone new.

Remain open to healing connections and to allow people to be close to you. Trust in the process that draws people in and out of your life. Resist nothing and seek wisdom in all.

So remember to set your seeds of intention and desire at the New Moon. Also, do please remember to make some time to relax, play and allow your inner essence to burble away and swirl up with glorious ideas. Weekly Reading for April 10th and Full Moon in Libra

Happy glorious (albeit soggy) Monday and Full Moon in Libra! How was your week? Tell me you got outside and enjoyed some nice sun and garden time! I think I managed one day outside redesigning the garden and coming up with creative ideas on how to use massive partially rotted cedar stumps and then it poured down with rain again! This Full Moon is big energy for setting big intentions that you are willing to follow up with grounded action. So take some time today and do some releasing and intention setting. If you aren’t sure how, here is a simple method.

Okay, let’s dive into the reading. The Divine Circus was adamant that they had something to say and were exceptionally insistent that they come play. The crystals that jumped up and down to come support are:- Black snowflake obsidian, Aragonite and Sodalite, with of course a glorious Selenite wand to amplify everything.

There is a fun visualisation to help you get centred and grounded if you feel inclined. If not take a breathe, get quiet and trust yourself, listen to the voice from your heart and soul. Then pick.

DATE WITH DESTINY

Out of the ethers and into your life, she arrives now because you have a date with Destiny. She is a mysterious creature; her ways are wild and her guidance is true. She may create chaos from which a new order can emerge, but there is no need to fear. She has come to inspire, uplift and direct you.

A date with Destiny is a big deal. It is the moment when you realise there is something helping you out, something intelligent, powerful, wise and, no matter how empowered you are, something even more powerful than your own efforts. All bets are off! Nothing is held sacred and anything can happen. If you are a control freak, this will probably scare you witless! You need to trust Destiny’s interventions on your behalf, even if her work seems to be causing your best intentions to go astray. Trust or go mad because you cannot control her. And you do not need to! Your divine destiny is your best life. It is you in the fullest and most beautiful creative expression possible. It is what you want and need, even when you don’t immediately realise it, even when that is rather different to what you once thought you wanted and needed.

The Universe has heard the prayers in your heart, and life is going to answer them by rearranging what needs to be rearranged to sort out whatever has been troubling you. Make sure you let it happen. The more you allow yourself to trust in her, the more you will realise that the universe is working with you, rather than against you, and if you are willing, it will show you the time of your life!

PINHEAD PUNCHINELLO

Do you ever feel just a little too blessed with new ideas, dreams and ambitions? Maybe it feels like you need more hours in the day to attain all you desire, to complete every course, read every book, create every dream and live at least ten lifetimes in just one. Or maybe you just feel overwhelmed with possibilities and choices, with demands on your time and things to do.

The entire Universe can dance on the head of a pin! That means you only need one point from which everything can come alive. If you narrow down your choices to one, just one for now, everything else will come in time. Just as you would water roots of the tree, and notice that not only do the roots grow, but so does the trunk and branches and leaves and flowers and the birdlife attracted to the tree, and so on…so too do you need to just attend to one important task, and the rest will happen naturally.

Whatever confusion or overwhelm, or whatever grand plans you are imagining, even those that seem so vast as to be impossible, the next step to your success is one simple step. Choose one thing for now; that will be enough to get everything else moving too, even if it seems like you have to give up something in favour of something else. For now, you are to move from the many to the one, and eventually that one will move the many into life.

Holy Hannah, we are already in April! Okay, I have to ask, am I the only demented one that loves April Fools day and likes to play practical jokes and little twists of the mind with people? In my world, if it is harmless, no one gets hurt (possibly confused), then it’s all good – oh yes and all the things have to stop by noon. A few years ago I altered all the clocks in the house by 2 hours and so the kids dashed to the bus stop about 2 hours before a bus would be there. I will be honest, I let them wait for a good 30 minutes and when I pulled up in the vehicle they were highly concerned they had missed the bus, something had happened, where was the bus? (I know, what a horrid mother am). So I explained to them what had happened, thanked them for the saran wrapped toilet and the salt in the sugar and we all went for a yummy breakie!

This weeks reading was done outside as the sun decided to shine for a brief while today, and seriously with 6 months of what feels like continual grey, I had to get outside. It was delicious, the wind was picking up and it made the sound of waves whooshing through the tall cedar branches. Have to say I love wind, it is one of my favourite elements. It feels so freeing and inviting to lift up and get curious.

This weeks reading we are working with the glorious Sacred Rebel deck (have I said I love this deck?) The wonderful crystals that chose to come to play are Kyanite, Smoky quartz and Emerald. VISIONS OF LIFE BEYOND DEATH

Sacred vision is awakening within you. You’re becoming blessed with the ability to truly see. To see what is real rather than what appears to be. This is true insight. What was once considered consequential may soon be found to hold little consequence after all. What was once dismissed as an irritation or irrelevance may be seen to have great spiritual significance.

If you have been wondering about your life path or whether you should take action on a project or you need inspiration to really move you out of a slump you have fallen into, then this oracle brings you a message of hope. You will receive your vision. You will be graced with a way out of the stagnancy.

You are leaving behind a smaller view for a more expansive one. You are watched over in life and held in protection. Shift your perspective and look at an issue of concern a little differently. Your ability to be inspired and see the light in all things is unfolding. It must be nourished in your heart with loving acceptance because you are going to help others through your vision, your art and how you choose to be in the world.

BE THE HUNTER NOT THE HUNTED

Do you feel you are at the beck and call of circumstances, situations and relationships that are outside of your control? Is your attention being called away from what you love – from your passionate focus upon your own journey and creative self-expression? Are you feeling roped into becoming a support, tonic, saviour and heal-all for others?

There is a big difference between healthy supportiveness in a relationship – which includes healthy self-support – and ignoring your own journey out of misplaced guilt, shame, unworthiness or the belief that the needs of others are more important than your own. That is not compromise. That is unhealthy and neglectful of yourself.

You are being asked to see through the assumptions, expectations, tantrums etc that may be put upon you by yourself or others. See through them to the truth! You are capable of seeing the truth, out-smarting old patterns and responding more creatively to craft new and improved relationships. There is a message coming your way and it will be important to you and you are not to paint it as anything more or less than what it is. Sit with you heart. Take your time. Even if there is a deadline for your answer.

You will be able to bend and stretch time so that in your relaxation, you can feel for what your truth is, in the situation at hand and respond appropriately. Mother Nature offers you the wisdom medicine of the owl – the ability to hear what is not spoken and see what is hidden in darkness. Trust what you feel beyond appearances.

RELEASE THE DARK WOUND, LET LOVE LIVE

If we detach something from its source too soon, trying to force it to become what it is not yet ready or willing to become, we can unintentionally sap it of its strength and kill it.

There is a dark wound in the consciousness of humanity which demands perfection and denies process. If you have decided you are not good enough or worthy enough to succeed before you’ve given it everything you’ve got and asked for divine help, then this dark wound has you in its grasp. Let go of the death-grip of perfectionism and let yourself and your ideas live.

Love is abundant, creative and inspiring. It moves us so much more joyously and creatively than fear. Release the dark wounding of false belief. There are so many stories of vastly successful artists who very nearly binned the project that was the making of them and their career, because of the despair fostered by their own fear, anxiety and dark would. They doubted, they were uncertain. Was their work any good? They nearly lost it all to fear. Do not let this happen to you. It must be allowed to be what it is, and only time, love, patience and attention will reveal it.

New Moon in Aries Weekly Reading!

Happy glorious Monday and New Moon in Aries! This is a very potent New Moon as in essence it is the first New Moon of the year (I know that sounds odd but work with me). If you want to learn more about it and how you can harness the power of this energy, please feel free to hop on over here.

We have actually had odd bouts of sun amidst all the rain, which in turn means the snow is slowly melting! In fact I have actually spotted a few shoots from the 300 bulbs I put in in the Fall (that made me very happy as I am so ready to see flowers!)

I love how the cards work – I had it in my mind that we were going to work with a certain deck, more Zen, less edgy, more light and fluffy feeling (not that I really own a deck that is light and fluffy). However, the cards were super clear this week – heck no, it’s play time and what could be better than a Divine Circus. Ergo, that is what we are working with. The crystals that hopped out and wanted to come and join in are:- Red Jasper, Sodalite and Jade.

So let’s get going with this glorious New Moon in Aries reading.

SILVER SIREN

When is an enchantment not enchanting? When it is a spell that you allow to consume your free will, even as it promises so much and yet delivers so little. The Silver Siren sings her song, a pretty poison to the soul. Her false allure tempts the mind, even whilst the heart feels that something is not quite right. Your power will come from discerning the truth and allowing her false promises no place in your heart.

If you compromise your integrity you will find that what you have obtained was not worth the price you paid for it, no matter how much you believed it would be otherwise. It simply will not be worthwhile. The Silver Siren is a false light that is so very enticing but so destroying. To disempower the false light, you must stay true to what your heart says. No matter how much you may fear you’ll regret it later on, simply say no to that which is unworthy, to that which does not hold the truth of love within. Even if a person declares they are utterly enlightened and only interested in your highest good; even if the opportunity at hand is “too good to miss”, making your mind needy and confused, follow your heart – if it’s not a Hell Yes, it’s a NO!

You are being given an opportunity for empowerment. It is time to trust yourself and stand firm your truths, and to experience the priceless sense of love, safety, security, peace and self-possession that this brings. With this, your soul can sing its own song, a song that shares true light, the lightness of a heart that lives in peaceful truth with the world.

DIVINE DISGUISE

Some blessings are obvious – the door that opens, the person who says yes and the instant success of an idea. But not all blessings are instantly recognisable. Some blessings are so veiled that at first you might consider them to be an unwanted development. A concealed blessing is either already at work in your life or on its way. Don’t worry if you feel like things aren’t working out as they should. Soon enough, the disguise will be dropped, and the blessed unmasked in all its beauty.

The Divine Disguise brings you the promise of peace of mind and a realisation that the universe does really know what it’s doing. It’s in your corner, on your side, cheering you on and helping you avoid unnecessary pitfalls, even if you don’t know they exist. The real beauty of a situation isn’t obvious to you yet. It could be a delay or change in plans that runs out to be in your favour, even if at the time you aren’t sure is signals failure! It could be the wrong person saying no so the right person can say yes. It could be being blocked from turning back to your past, so you must continue forward to the magic of your future.

Don’t worry. Even that which appears most troublesome is going to reveal itself to be working in your favour.

THE PROUD PIERETTE

If you were proud of who you are and everything you have learned in your life, free from shame, guilt or judgement, what would you choose for yourself today? The choices you make for yourself from a place of feeling good are going to be more loving and helpful than anything from a place of self-judgement. You’ve nothing to regret, you’ve learned a lot and you are a beautiful unique being on a wild divine journey. Be kind to yourself. Keep your head up! Then it will be easier to keep growing and glowing.

If you feel that life is getting you down, or you should have, or could have, made different decisions in life – you are doing a great job! You are meant to have learning experiences. What matters is that you choose to learn. And you do! In your own time and your own way, you make sense of things, and you grow wiser and stronger as a person.

If you feel any ridicule, judgement or shaming is coming from those around you – trust you are stronger and wilder and more beautiful and true than any of that mean-spirited fearfulness. Let the mud that is being slung slide right off or remain stuck in the hands of those throwing it your way. Keep your sense of inner dignity intact. Never make yourself smaller to placate the fear in another’s heart. Take pride in who you are. Be proud to be you! And know that this is a way to respect and honour the creative loving power of the universe that created you!
