Spring Equinox, Super Full Moon in Libra and an Offering!

Happy Marvelous, Magnificent, Magickal March Monday! There is so much to natter about this week it’s fabulous! We have the glorious Spring Equinox, Super Full Moon, Why Ritual is important and an Offering. Many of you have been reaching out and asking if I am going to offer a Spring Equinox special on private readings. Originally, I hadn’t thought I would and then I perked it a bit more and yes, two of the readings will be on offer for one week, thus, from today until next Monday March 25th, as I so want to help you set your seeds of intention for Spring and the next 6 months until Fall Equinox! Okay, seriously, who doesn’t want to celebrate Spring? As a kid Spring time was filled with woodland flowers and baby lambs popping out everywhere and bouncing like mad fiends over the grass. Thus, I think that really nailed down the fact that I love Spring Equinox! When I did this reading, there were glorious birds in my bird feeder, the weather was gloriously warmer and as I walked around the garden I could see the shoots pushing up! Everything is starting to reach, expand and grow!

After a wet, gray winter, the idea, the knowing and the full Trust that Spring is going to come is amazing. To me it is about NEW. New plants, new ideas, new ways of moving in the world and releasing the blaugh. Spring Equinox (also known as Ostara), after the goddess Eostre is a fertility holiday, which celebrates the resurgence of life with such symbols as rabbits, cute little chicks and lambs (seeing any similarity to Easter symbols?)

Spring Equinox is the second of the four “sky points” in the Wheel of the Year, and is a time of balance, it is when the sun does a perfect balancing act in the heavens. In other words, the sun rises exactly in the East, travels through the sky for 12 hours and sets exactly in the West. Thus, all over the world, day and night are of equal length. For us in the Northern Hemisphere we know from this moment forth there will be more light than there is darkness, and growth will reign triumphant over death. (For those in the Southern Hemisphere it is Fall Equinox, a time of harvest and getting ready for Winter and a gentle letting go of the light to fold in and cocoon).

This is a time when the goddess is the Maiden in all her youthful glory, the god is reaching manhood, and energy abounds. So why not tap into that energy to bring the light into your own darkness, if you have any? For example spring cleaning is not just about your home, it’s about removing old or negative energies accumulated over the dark winter months to prepare you for glorious growth. It’s about planting seeds of intention, seeds of growth, seeds of food – it’s about shedding that heavy winter coat and picking up something a tad lighter and a bit more fun. If you are on the email list I will be sending out more information about Ostara on Wednesday with a lovely ritual, a grounding exercise to connect you to the earth and a guided visualisation to mark the day! So if you haven’t signed up and feel inclined, please do.

I often get asked how to “do” rituals and why are they important. To me a ritual is intention made manifest, it’s that place of connection with the Divine, Universe, God/Goddess or however you chose to name it. In other words, a ritual takes an idea, thought or emotion and gives it a physical form in the world. So for example when I invite or suggest that perhaps at certain times there are things that you might want to write down, release and burn – guess what? That’s a ritual. When you sit down at New Moon and write your wishes/intentions out, guess what? That’s a ritual. All it took was a brief moment of time, paper, pen and something to light either a candle or the paper with. When you consciously put your crystals into the moonlight, on fresh dirt or in a bowl of salt water and whisper a blessing over them – that’s a ritual. When you gather various herbs together, cast a circle of salt, call in the directions, offer up a spell or prayer – that is ritual. Are you with me?

To me ritual allows your body, your cells, you essence to understand your intention. Does that make sense? So what makes a mundane activity into a ritual is your consciousness while doing it. If you are smudging yourself or home, what is your intention? If you are having a salt water scrub shower or bath, what is your intention? When you light a candle every day when you walk in the door, what is your intention? Remember energy follows intention and attention follows energy and actions follow attention. Thus, a ritual can be a celebration such as the upcoming Thanksgiving in the States or it can be a practice which can be repeated daily, monthly or yearly. When ritual becomes a practice this allows us to go deeper, to explore all the various nuances and of course as we all know – repetition leads to mastery (think of that daily meditation, exercise, journaling etc).

On April 1st I am opening registration to the Pracktical Magic course and community where we will go deeper into rituals and and a myriad of other things, but more on that later!

On Equinox we also experience the Super Full Moon in Libra (also known as the Worm Moon!) Why the Worm Moon? It’s called this because the earth is thawing and robins are greedily pulling up lovely fat earthworms and gobbling them down! (Now if that doesn’t conjure up the image of Spring for you, lol!) Here is some lovely information from Forever Conscious about this Full Moon. This glorious Super Moon falls at zero degrees of Libra. Having a Super Moon at zero degrees is extremely potent and represents a wave of new potential. The fact that this Full Moon also falls around the same time as the Equinox enhances this energy, and brings new beginnings and fresh starts. This Full Moon is going to supercharge us. It is going to awaken and revive us. It is going to help us find new inspiration and joy for life. We are going to feel a push forward, and we are going to feel excited about the journey to come. Can you feel it? Can you feel the energy beginning to surge and inviting you to move forward (or I like to think of it as Springing forward)!

When I went to the cards and asked who felt impelled to guide this week and help us with the gorgeous Spring Equinox and Full Moon energy I was surprised to see the Oracle of the Shapeshifters. For a brief moment I was perplexed as to why they were adamant to come and guide and then I remembered and nearly laughed my soxs off! If these glorious guides are new to you, let me please introduce them (as that is the polite thing to do)! “These are the magickal familiars, once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones – and now they are here for you. Now is the time for you to undertake a great quest – to rebirth yourself within this lifetime and this quest of evolution does not need to be faced alone. We change and we change again. We fear change. Yet it comes. For us to fear change is as foolish as winter crying for the coming of spring. Change is. Fear corrupts. These guides are here to support, encourage and help you through transformation and to teach you to let go of fear. True , deep change must take place for you to fulfill your soul contract. You may have turned from possibility to what you have convinced yourself is probable: You diminish your possible self, reduce who you are, and dilute your spirit. But even when you have sought to remain invisible and hidden away, and said yes to everyone else, life will find you – and transform you. You are never alone with these beings.” Phew! So there we have it are you ready?

The crystals that wiggled and jiggled to come and play are Apatite, Angelite and Chrysocolla. And of course with Equinox just days away the lovely Spring flowers wanted to participate, so we have a cheerful pansy, a dashing daff and a gentle grape hyacinth! (Who could ask for anything more).

Ready? I invite you to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few deep, long breaths. As you breathe see in your minds eye gorgeous roots pushing down into the earth as it warms, connecting, grounding and supporting. Breathe this way for however long you have and when your shoulders have relaxed away from your ears and your jaw is loose pick the card or cards that resonate for you at this time.

A LOYAL GUARDIAN

This sweet faery being holds within her arms a fierce, loyal, and very strong Rottweiler who will keep all predators and bullies at bay. He is unwaveringly devoted to protecting his faery friend – and to to protecting you. The Loyal Guardian is so powerful that he is unable to be hurt, and he will stand guard and watch, growl at, fight, and even kill any who attempt to harm you at this stage. There is fierce, protective magick surrounding you or another one with you who is fragile.

Think of yourself as a newborn: Babies are at their most vulnerable after transitioning from the sea of the womb to the world of breath and air. You are making a huge change, and this makes you vulnerable When you are rebirthing, changing your life, you need mentors and strong, calm guardians to assist you in moving into a world that seems full of danger. With my steadfast, calm, confidence, you will be safe. You can face the changes and the threats without becoming overwhelmed or rushing back to the familiar, less sensitive state because it seems safe.

You will have with you energetically at this time a very protective guardian. There may be some new people or situations in your life that make you feel threatened, uncertain, and uncomfortable. This wariness has been noted, and this shapeshifter in the form of a large, devoted, and very powerful companion will be at your side, sniffing out danger, sounding an alarm at any threat, even readying to fight for you, should it come to that. If there has been bullying or behaviour that has intimidated you, you have someone on your side who will not let you down and who will not let you face this alone.

DEEP DARK SEA MERMAID

This mysterious magickal companion will help you to find out what lies beneath the stories and beliefs you hold. She will show you the Universal laws that re being played out and the truths of situations that may have been hidden by the detail that can sometimes cloud our wisdom. She also will indicate some new and interesting ways of producing energy, growing food, receiving energy and nutrition and renewing yourself. She will take you deep and show you dark jewels of the self, help you to take certain things seriously and fearlessly, and show you that the monsters you feared can be rendered harmless.

There are alternative energy sources. There are solutions to your every dilemma. There is a truth beneath so much of the mystery. There is so much undiscovered in the world, in the great beneath. Just as the world has so many creatures and being that walk among you undiscovered, you, too, have deep, hidden potentials. I am here to show you that there are places you must go that you have feared exploring – that you must go deeper, dig down, down into your own self, and explore alternatives in the world.

New discoveries about your own capabilities are happening now. The energy you send and receive becomes known to you; you see the relationship between what you feel, send, and create in your own life. It all becomes; where once it was frightening, now you can see the beauty of this responsibility. A radical truth. You are responsible. It’s time to play with the wise wizards like Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein and know that you are fully supported, growing, expanding as you explore and create a new way of being for yourself.

THE DELICATE FAERY AND HER FERRETS

Sometimes the transition between one cycle or stage and another is easy, fluid, flowing, and smooth. At other times it is rough, harsh, cruel, and painful. It is inevitable that, if we are truly alive, we will experience discomfort and challenges when confronted by the unfamiliar. This is no curse – it is evidence of wisdom being taught to us.

We change. We alter ourselves. We adapt. We choose. We become. You are now being shown a way and the gifted magickal tools to strengthen yourself while you develop your skills. You are also being sent a trusted companion to guide you through the deep forests of change. You feel very vulnerable, and there is fear in your heart. But why would there not be? Life is full of transitions, shifts, and epic moments when we can choose between our best self and the tired, conditioned, most often deflated self. In these time of change, there is no map, no guidebook, no previous knowledge to comfortably fall back on.

One cycle has ended. When a cycle changes or when we choose to create change courageously be challenging our limited self-beliefs, questioning our attachments to “truths”, or releasing our attachment to the way in which our lives “should” manifest, we are, either by choice or by contract, undergoing an initiation. A new friend, advisor, or piece of information will empower you. You must now shift the focus from what you fear to what you wish to become and face what it is that is frightening you needlessly.

It will not kill you. It might hurt a bit, but results will make it worth it!

Losing My Marbles, Synchronicity, Serenity Prayer and Ostara, Spring Equinox is just around the corner!

Happy Magickal, Mystical, Marvelous, Magnificent, Majestic, Merry, Motivated, Manifesting Monday! How was your week? How are you getting on with “Next Step” energy and did you remember to make your New Moon wishes? Remember too that the New Moon sets the energy and holds your intentions for the 29 day cycle, so even if you didn’t have a chance to write down your wishes, you can still work with the building energy throughout the month! (That’s very handy for those of us who love to procrastinate!)

I have had the most bizarre week (actually it’s been a few weeks, but this last one has been even more “interesting” than normal, to say the least. (I once read that to bless someone by saying “May your life be interesting”, was actually a curse). Gulp!

For the last little while I have been pretty sure that I was losing my marbles! So if you feel inclined, grab a cuppa tea, get comfy and let me share the experience I have been having with you, and in the process I am “outing” myself a tad.

So just over a few weeks ago I was trundling through my day, minding my own business – tra, la, la, la, la (get the picture). I was sitting out on my front porch with my evening cuppa tea watching night descend and the stars start popping out and all of a sudden this huge (and I mean HUGE) download came in that left me scrambling for a pad of paper and a pen and writing, writing, writing. When I finished I read over what I been told to write and there was one of those huge inhales of breathe and a sense of “Oh My, this is going to be interesting to say the least.” Anyhow, I put it aside, took my supplements and hopped into bed with the full intention of trying to ignore it all. No such luck. My dreams were filled with it all and in fact one just kept looping over and over, so much so that I woke up swearing my head off! Lol.

Now you may be thinking – “Jenny what the heck is the big deal, you got a download, you wrote it down now get on with it or let it go.” Good point of view, but have to say there was no letting it go, or more correctly it was not letting me go and to be honest it terrified me a tad as I have always thought of myself as a highly logical, empathetic, spiritual being and now I am being asked to talk about Magick! Yes I did say Magick. In other words Practickal Magick, the Magick that is in all of us, we were born with it but for most of us we have put it in a little cardboard box and stuffed it at the back of the closet. This is the Magick that wends through our day to day, our work, the intentions we set, the dreams we have, the way we think, our beliefs, our mindsets, the legacy we want to create, absolutely every single fibre of being in your body and all the delicious threads of life. It’s retrieving and reclaiming those lost or hidden pieces of ourselves. It’s living highly intentionally in tune with ritual, seasons, all the elements and a myriad of other things which in turn allows us to manifest on an exceptionally high level and to show up and serve at an exponential level. It’s Practickal Magic.

So why does this feel like I was losing my marbles? Think about it! You get a huge download, your ego flares its humongous wings and you try to run and hide, but there is no escaping. The manifestation wants to come to life and so finds you in your dreams, follows you in nature, whispers to you as you work, even picks the movies that you feel drawn to (that’s been most interesting!) You open your mouth to talk to a random stranger about the weather and half an hour later you have been talking about magick, ritual, alchemy, herbology and they have opened the box in their closet a tad to share. You find yourself digging up the front lawn and creating a garden that is a myriad of circles with paths that are East, South, West and North. Books are strewn open at random pages that all speak to each other and the synchronicities that have been occurring have been mind blowing to say the least. Tell me you wouldn’t feel like you had just stepped off the planet into another realm (or had gone totally bat shit crazy but no one was telling you!)

The other evening I phoned a spiritual mentor and poured out the last few weeks. He was fabulous and quietly listened, with the odd murmur. At the end of my vent, rant, sharing of having totally lost my marbles and why hadn’t anyone told me, he chuckled softly and very kindly said. “Jenny, you are totally sane, this is part of who you are and what you are meant to be doing.” He asked me if I could control what was happening and when I shared I couldn’t and the more I ran and tried to avoid, the worse it got. He then reminded me of the Serenity prayer. “Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.” We talked for a while longer and he ended the conversation by asking me if I had the Serenity to accept and the Courage to follow it through. Ahhhh grasshopper, a very good question. So I am embracing Serenity and Courageously going to step forth, create and share. Yes, it may mean I use the word Witch (which will certainly tweak some people to the max), but to me Witch means – “ Someone who is connected to and has a love for all life and a joyfulness to work with it instead of against it. Someone who pays attention to the life they have, celebrates the magic within them and works with energy, nature, herbs, stones, ancestors – the whole gamut to help and support the interdependent web that they are part of.”

As someone who has been a solo practitioner for years, to me this download is like creating an amazing community of like minded people, where we explore, learn together, and through rituals (which is taking thought (Air) and turning it into form (Earth) which in turn moves through every cell of your body and locks in your intention) we learn to really BE, CREATE and SERVE at a supremely high level.

So there we have it. I haven’t lost my marbles (at least not all of them), I have felt supremely uncomfortable for the last few weeks, but I feel this is exceptionally important for all of us, and it’s interesting for me to see that the energy is getting stronger as we approach the glorious celebration of Ostara, or Spring Equinox (Fall Equinox) if you are down south. So I’m breathing into the Serenity and the Courage and it feels pretty frigging delicious to be honest. A prime example, other than all the writing for the programme I want to offer to create this amazing community, was putting a shovel in the garden and within a week I have created a glorious design, the grass is all gone and there is a plethora of beds where native plants, hawthorns, herbs galore, along with flowers and veggies will be planted to entice hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and faerie folk to come play. Oh yes, and just to get covered in dirt and have that glorious sense of physical contentment of creating sacred space. Nothing beats it! Now that is Serenity in motion!

So a word of advice. If you are ever thinking you are losing your marbles, pay attention to the messages, breathe into it for a bit – don’t run and then check in with someone you trust implicitly! Because, if you can do all of those, you aren’t losing your marbles! (Just saying).

Now if you know me (which you may or may not), I write and then ask the cards who wants to come. I never pick the cards and then write to them. Does that make sense? So to write the above and then go to my decks. I laughed and thought “OMG! You seriously can’t make this stuff up!”

The cards that wiggled and jiggled to come to the forefront made me laugh outloud. The Oracle of the Dragonfae were most adamant that they take centre stage and share with you their guidance for the week. These guides are the magickal and mystical that weave through the threads of every day, they are the Dragonfae, Gods and Goddesses who dwelt in dimensional lands….Eden, Avalon, Ys, Atlantis and Mu, they are Morgan, Guenevere, Merlin and others – fully alive and filled with magick! They are the deliciously magickal beings that have always been there, we just forgot, and when we connect with them, we reconnect with the lost parts of ourselves, allowing us to fully explore the gift of life on this beautiful green and blue planet, known by some as Gaia, by others as Dana, and by many other names.

The crystals that jostled and jiggled to come and support you this week are:- Amethyst – a stone of spiritual protection and purification, cleansing one’s energy field of negative influences and attachments, and creating a resonant shield of spiritual Light around the body. Clear Quartz – clarity, manifestation and focus. And last but not least Cinabrite – a powerful stone for unearthing the divine powers within you. Oh yes, and just as I did the reading one of the 30 tulips I have in a vase dropped her petals to share.

There is a lovely guided visualisation to help you tap into the Spring Energy and really strengthen your intentions if you so choose. If not, just breathe. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth and allow yourself to settle in. Then when you are ready see in your mind’s eye a glorious young green shoot. This is your intention, your desire – invite it in and as you breathe into this gorgeous green being pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

THE DAWN WATCHER

Never think that you are alone in this world…you do have guardians and I am one of them. I will literally ring alarm bells for you when you have need of forewarning and foreknowledge. There is nothing to fear when you receive these messages; you simply need to pay attention, take note and act when the time is right. I will always alert you and it is my particular domain and charge to watch for the new sky as the sun rises and to let you know that what you have hardly dared even hope for has every chance of coming true. Watch for the sunrise and know that as she does, so too do your hopes. And these bells will ring out for you to let you know of the approach of new growth, new warmth and a new energetic time coming for you. Listen and hear the bells ring for you. And then you shall awaken from your soul sleep!

It is time to be alert and aware; to arise early and to pay attention to the signs that abound around you – selectively. Focus on your mission at this time and work towards it. Be determined and do not allow others to distract you. Call on the Dawn Watcher to assist you to focus on the messages that are most worth hearing, and so that you do not go into fear. The Dawn Watcher is a very powerful guardian and will help you greatly be alerting you with plenty of time; all you need to do is pay attention.

Listen more respectfully to the bells of dreams, deja vu or of physical reactions to particular energies. The Dawn Watcher only weakens when you pay her bells no head, when you will not wake up and hear the calls. Know that you are always being watched over and being told through your body, your mind and your spirit of what is to come

LADY OF THE NEW BUDS

See how my garden has grown about me? See how my children, the darling buds, clamour for my attention? They cry at night and can be so touchy during the day! I must shelter them from harshness and keep them in a safe place, till they are strong enough to branch out….even then, my watchful eye will look out for their care.

You see, so many people see the beauty, and do not understand where it sprang from; the rich, loamy soil. The sweet water poured from the water-Dragonfae into this earth, the minerals of the natural realms, the light of the Sun and the shining sweetness of the crystal moon have all anointed my garden with their blessings. And then there is me. So many see my garden, and wonder at it, but they do not see the work and the care that has preceded my domain. Its beauty is a result of love, care, natural growth and attention to each and every one of its inhabitants.

When your growth appears around you, from the seeds you have planted, take time to tend this garden. Enlist the assistance of like-minded souls, and just as you would not feed these tender buds poisons and pollutants, do not feed your ideas the opinions and energies of those who are not in integrity. Stay true to the vision of your creation and truly take a little time each day to tend this garden, be it of love, ideas, little ones or creative endeavours, until they are robust and begin to grown into their own energy. For now, it is the tender time, the time when the buds are at most risk from the frost of rejection, the poison of judgement, and the choke of cruelty. Be vigilant, and you too will have a garden for all to enjoy and love.

Many will feel you’re fortunate indeed to have created such a beautiful Eden, but they will not see the care you have taken to grow this. But I have seen. I have seen it all.

THE LISTENER

How much have you missed because I could not have the space, the wild quiet, the blessed peace in which to whisper my secret straight to your soul? How much more could you be aware of if you simply took the time to be still and silent? The whole world can be heard in a moment….and now it is your time to be still, and to be silent. Listen and truly understand what it is you are hearing. Listen with your being, your entire being, not just your ears. Allow your senses to be the soul’s messengers. Sometimes we need to be quiet and listen. But first of all we need to be quiet. So many people talk so much of the time. And the talking and the talking and the filling up of space simply drowns out the messages.

The Dragonfae do not decry conversation and robust dialogue, the joyous clash of friends talking with each other, or the singing out of voices….especially when raised in joy, celebration, song and good cheer! But this card speaks of a time when it would be right for you to be still, and to listen, as the world whispers her secrets to you. We do not want to be making so much noise that we drown out our own signs and messages. So be still. Be silent. And be ready for the messages to come in sweet, subtle and magickal ways.

It’s time to remove yourself from the hustle and the bustle, from built-up urban and industrial areas, and go deep into nature and find the still pace of solitude in which the soul can speak – and be heard! Turn down the stress, the demands, the social whirl, the noise that can drown out meaning. In the words of Shakespeare, chatter is often “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” You would do well to seek the counsel of spirit in nature, to rest in a quiet grove within. Furthermore, when the soul speaks, listen, come into alignment and act from that space of integrity. The Listener does not feel the need to tell all about what she has heard. In fact, she is content to simply act, without broadcasting her moves, and to allow her dreams into being, to follow the guidance of her message without exhausting the energy of the message by talking it out.

The Listener is silent and she seems still. But all of her actions are powerful and purposeful because they are born from a pure, still place of energy. Hers is the quiet glade and sudden, glad truth of the soul, and in these truths are great wisdom and delight.

Wow, wow, wow. Pay attention, Growth and Listen. Perfect messages as Spring Equinox approaches. So my delicious lovely, I wish for you a glorious week filled with Magick and Purpose. Delicious sunbeams that caress your face, moments of serenity and courage, as well as Spring flowers or Autumn leaves. Oh yes, and gobs of hot cross buns toasted and lathered with butter! New Moon in Pisces, New Energy, Mercury Retrograde and Practical Magic Abounds!

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Manifesting, Majestic first Monday of March! That’s right, March is here and Spring Equinox is coming (I’m so excited I love, love, love Spring Equinox). I find it so fascinating that even if I didn’t know what day or month it was my body let’s me know, I can literally feel the Spring energy welling up and my mind has been filled with creating and planting seeds to harvest in the Fall. Quite fascinating. In fact, one project that I have started is designing and creating a glorious garden and the minute I started sketching it out I found a massive Buddha head statue and 3 crazy cat statues on the side of the road! More on that next week once I get it figured out, let me just say it will be a magickal garden with Hawthorn’s, herbs and Big Intent!

Before we explore all the amazing deliciousness that is happening, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who have been writing and messaging me with regards to exploring the moons, equinoxes, rituals and seasons in more depth. That got my juices burbling last week and my amazing magickal guides hopped into the mix and gave me an incredible download. Thus, all being well, I think we will have created something for you by the Equinox. Stay tuned!

Okay, let’s look at what is burbling. First we have a new energetic theme for the month, Second, we have a glorious New Moon, and last but not least we have Mercury Retrograde! (No, running for the closet, it’s all good – quite magickal in fact.)

March is bringing us some glorious new energy! Shamanically the theme for this month is Next Step. If you remember January was Clean it Up, February was Activation and March is Next Step! Are you ready?

Let me share what Lena has to say:- “ In taking that “next step”, we are also dealing with anxiety, fear, confusion and trusting the unknown. We exit the month of February with lots of bits and pieces on our plate. Some are clear, some make no sense, some fit the puzzle, some don’t, some have come out of the blue creating sudden change, and some feel like road blocks with no clear solution……yet. There will be those of you that begin this month in a slight state of overwhelm and anxiety. Others will be excited about the possibilities and ready to launch into that next step. A lot was put into motion last month and some of it is just beginning to manifest.

The “next step” is on everyone’s mind. We all know that we are moving forward in some way. Some of you know exactly what that is and are chomping at the bit to get there already. But for many there are still unknowns, loose ends and gaps in clarity that may be producing anxiety, worry and fear. We know we are going somewhere, creating something new, we just do not have all the parts together yet, and the fear is that we will fail or be disappointed and unsuccessful in reaching our goals.

As we evolve, we are inevitably moving into a higher octave, a higher vibration, the upper room. But our fears are holding us back as we cling to what we know, as unsatisfying as that may be. There is no stopping the evolutionary process. It is like telling your hair or fingernails not to grow. The more you cling and hold back, the greater the possibility you will end up in depression and despair with blocked creativity and a feeling of stagnation.” You can read more about this energy at her site.

We have a glorious New Moon on Wednesday 6th and this New Moon is in Pisces which invites us to expand and illuminate or be held back by our shadow side. This is a moon from the transcendental realms. It holds the promise of a re-birth. It has a quality of merging the spiritual with the material. This is a moon to manifest the dream. However, its negative expression could mean among others, a lack of will, not clear intentions and non-clarity in emotions. It could mean harboring unrealistic expectations from ourselves, subdued will or lessened vitality. Which route would you rather pick? Personally I like the former far more! Added to the energy of Next Step and the delicious New Moon in Pisces we have Mercury Retrograde! Whoot, whoot! (Can you say, hold onto your bloomers?) This is the perfect time to really take the time to investigate some of the leftovers from the past. Now what do I mean by that? Let’s say every time you think of your sister there is a resentment about something she did or didn’t do. Therefore this resentment is taking up space in your head and heart, holding energy blocked instead of allowing it to flow. Time to let that puppy go and welcome your own energy back clear, clean and fresh. So if you experience any “tweakiness” during this retrograde take a moment to look at if it’s coming from outside of you or from inside. If it’s yours and it’s holding old energy that can be better used in the present day. Let it Go!

Can you say it is a yummy delicious time for creating and manifesting? Huzzah!

When I asked the cards who wanted to be your guides this week the glorious Isis Oracle were adamant to come and be front and centre. This is quite interesting as normally Isis doesn’t participate in “public readings”. Have you ever asked who Isis is? Goddess of the Skies, Magick and Wisdom are just a few of the titles she is given. Let me take a moment to introduce you to this lovely deck – “You are a powerful Soul and you are awakening. Your thoughts, feelings and inner world is changing, and so too is your outer world. When a Soul is growing in power and strength, it can benefit from guidance to help make the path into new way of being in the world that much easier. Isis offers Her wisdom and guidance to you to assist you at this time of spiritual growth and transition. She loves you, and wants you to shine and be your radiant self, filled with power and wisdom.”

The crystals that insisted on participating are Malachite, Rhodochrosite and Chrysocolla. Oh yes, and the little mollusks and shells wanted to participate as well! So let’s begin shall we?

Take a moment to breathe yourself back into your body, feel your feet on the floor and your spine lengthening to the sky. Breathe into all the little hidden corners that sometimes get forgotten. As you breathe ask the question of what is your next step. Just breathe that in and let it settle in your minds eye, and then when you are ready pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

INITIATION

When you are being spiritually initiated into the mysteries of light, love and power, there are moments of deep challenge. The key is to find the light within the challenge – the learning, growth or wisdom that can be summoned to turn the challenge into an opportunity for healing. Initiation will occur at various stages. Sometimes your entire life will feel like an initiation, at other times specific areas will be flowing easily whilst others re deeply challenging. Please know you are not needlessly suffering. If you can find the light within the struggles, tests or challenges that face you now, you will experience breakthrough healing.

As an Initiate, honour life as a gift and treat any challenge or pressure as a way for you to grow into a brighter and purer light capable of great spiritual service on this planet. That spiritual service includes growing an ability to be able to love freely and beyond limits, to love with courage and faith.

In fact initiation for you now, dear one, is an opening to new levels of power and peace, self-possession and love. There are such sweet fruits waiting for you at the top of the tree you are currently climbing. It may seem as though you are in barren land at times with little hope, nourishment or encouragement, yet your spiritual oasis is not far away! The Lady Isis and the Power of Ra together are helping you grow. Stay focused on the Lady and Her love for you and you shall pass through the desert of the Initiation unharmed and deeply transformed.

STAY TRUE AND BE IN YOUR POWER

The Flail and Crook, often held by Osiris, are symbols of Divine royalty and dominion. These symbols remind us that within we hold great dominion, spiritual authority and freedom to be the sovereign ruler of our own Self. This does not mean that we have to control life or others or even the environment around us, but it does give us complete and utter choice to become as spiritually awake, free, and self-determined as we wish to be, as well as providing us with complete choice as to what our values and actions will be this lifetime.

There is no permission required from anyone, apart from yourself, to be and live your truth! There are many voices that will test you on the journey from illusory shackles of fear, loss or abandonment that may hold you back or tempt you into giving your power away to others. You shall awaken from the testing into the realisation of spiritual independence within.

You have the power to create and own your reality and you don’t need permission from anyone else to do this. Honour your spiritual sovereignty, let the lady Isis help you find your spiritual authority and freedom of choice now. Seeking to hand over any responsibility for your own well being to another can be a tricky and ultimately self-destructive path, even though it may seem to start off as a relief of stress about some concern or other. You are guided to exercise care and discernment about any issue that feels like it is compromising your sense of self and personal power. That issue is a Soul healing trying to happen. Look within and see if you can grow through it in some way. There is much self-confidence trying to emerge from within you!

MAGICK AND RITUAL

Effect in the external world can be created through inner practice. Magick and Ritual can support your Divine Path now in the physical world and you are encouraged to enhance your power with regular practice. The results that you experience will encourage you to continue with the practice as you grow in power, grace, love, ability and wisdom, and apply your inner beauty to transform your outer world.

For us to grow empowered and potent on the Path of Ancient Feminine Power we need to honour our knowing and being and cultivate sacred practice. Sacred practice become the habit of growing our spiritual power and consciousness. Like a garden needing regular care and watering to blossom and flourish, our inner garden of the Soul, where our creativity, joy, spiritual gifts and bliss bubble away, also needs regular attention. Coming to our practice takes strength and inner will – even though it can feel amazing, we still have to wake up, set aside time and discipline ourselves to show up for our own inner growth. We will reap the benefits when we do, but we must allow ourselves to fall in love with our practice, to craft something that really speaks to us, so that we want to do it. The desire and the discipline together help us engage with our practice regularly and we can grow so fast it can be quite shocking!

You have great power and wisdom within you, but you need to provide channels for it to flow and be active and empowered in your physical life. Sacred Practice is such a channel. Without these channels, the ego is left to create on its own which is not much fun at all! The ego believes in fear and separation and no matter how much it may want to feel love, bliss, connection, joy and fulfilment, it really cannot do it without your spiritual presence in life. Ritual and Magick, as a form of sacred practice, are recommended for you as a way to bring more spiritual presence into your waking life, to heal and support the ego as you learn to create a life that feels better and brings you and others more fulfilment.

Spring is Coming! What does Belonging look like? Where Does Your Voice Live?

Happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Mystical, Melodious, Merry, Magnanimous, Majestic Monday! I don’t know about you but I have a bit of a feeling of “OMG February is almost over!” This month seems to have just whizzed by, don’t you think? It just seems to be a tad of a blur of celebrations, snow and grey clouds, most interesting. However, with February passing by so quickly you know what that means? Spring is Coming!!!! Whoot! Whoot!

Okay, I have a couple of questions for you this week that have been coming up in conversations with clients, friends and random strangers and they may appear heavy, but they actually aren’t.

So let me ask you the first one. Where do you Belong? Where is the place, the space the whatever that really makes you feel like you Belong? Now you maybe thinking to yourself, Jenny that’s a rather unusual question, but it really isn’t. A few weeks ago we explored why the Ancestral DNA industry is booming and that’s because in our society that is more connected than ever via technology, we are more disconnected than ever from each other. Most families don’t live in the same town, let alone the same country!

So let’s go back to the question of where do you Belong?

On Friday, I went to a talk given by Toka pa Turner, who has written the book Belonging is a Skill and she spoke of how, as we are growing up, we estrange pieces of ourselves to “fit in”. I call this trying to put a square peg in a round hole. She then went on to say that when we reach adulthood we find a group, an organisation, friends or whomever that we resonate with and really feel like we “Belong” and then for one reason or another we are ousted, there is a grief, a loss – where do we Belong? Many of us have experienced that pain whether it is in our family (if we chose to do or be different, our church, our spiritual group, even in a Yoga class!) Toka pa recommends that we pull all those pieces back to us that we have estranged or distanced ourselves from to become whole and Belong to ourselves first and foremost. In other words we Belong to Ourselves, that we become complete packages instead of searching for the piece that is missing. (Have to admit it reminded me a tad of people who post on dating websites “Looking for someone to complete me!)

I found this fascinating as, with a big move and in a new place, I too have wondered where I belong. I have been trying different groups, churches, organisations, events and all sorts. Some meet my need of “Belonging” and others, not so much, however the interesting thing is that I don’t feel unwelcome or alone. In fact what I have realised (very similar to high school), I Belong in a plethora of groups and as long as I feel that I Belong in my body and in my own home. Life is good. So where do you Belong?

The next question that came up this past while is “Where Does Your Voice Live?” Now if your response is “Duh, Jen it lives in my throat, my vocal cords, geesh!” I have an invitation for you, “Does it”?

For myself I always thought that my voice was in my writing, in the things I created, in my home and on the side of the soccer pitch. It wasn’t really heard many other places. My voice could be seen in the gardens I would create to express something inside, or maybe in a piece of healing jewelry I had created for a client or friend, it could be heard in the stories that I created for my kids as they drifted off to sleep, or in a piece of writing. But didn’t that mean that my voice lived in my heart, head and hands and not so much in my throat?

This got me to exploring the throat chakra a tad more, as to me this is the glorious melting pot where creativity, self will and love pool with intuition and divine guidance and then emit out loud for all and sundry to hear. I then talked to artists, makers, creators, speakers, healers, numb people and asked them where their voice lived in them. Is it just one spot, or can it be a plethora of spots. A lovely woman I met, who has a line of work that she thoroughly enjoys, says that her voice is in her Yoni and her throat, but not in her heart or mind. Fair enough!

For myself, as I explore getting out of my comfort zone by joining a female acapella group (and apparently there is a concert in 4 weeks!), drumming and putting myself in front of groups of people I have never met before (which can be a delicious invitation for my introverted self to go hide in a closet). I have found that my voice is in my heart, my creativity, my hands, my mind, my throat and my body. So slowly and surely how I share my voice the deep inner piece of me is slowly coming out through fairly much every piece of me, which is really exciting, but in a way terrifying! Interestingly enough our “choir” leader threw a new song at us on Sunday and my whole being went “Ahhhhhh” when I read the lyrics and I haven’t been able to stop singing it since.

Here’s the first verse: “From our lips we are echo and mountain, In our eyes we are sacred and sun, By the grace of our hands, we’re the flame and the dance, In our hearts we are rhythm and drum.”

So let me ask again – Where Does Your Voice Live? And how does this shape where you Belong?

Okay so I have most certainly chuntered on long enough, so with all that being said let’s crack on with the reading.

When I asked the cards and guides who wanted to come and share this week I laughed when I saw it was The Oracle of the Divine Circus. The reason I laughed is these glorious guides are playful, but deep. They think outside the box and invite you to do the same. If you have never met these glorious guides, please let me introduce you. “What is life if not a Divine Circus? Life might seem ordinary at times, yet when we look more closely, it is bursting with creative diversity, constantly evolving, pulling rugs out from underneath our feet (usually just at the moment we think we have everything under control) and opening doors we couldn’t even see were right there before us moment earlier. Life is magical, thrilling, sometimes strange and even scary. It can inspire you and touch your soul, inviting you to discover the unique magic within you, to dare to live it, to express it, to play with possibilities and embrace what sets you apart from the crowd. “

The crystals that came to play wiggled and woggled and jumped out as did the lavender (interesting). We have Morganite – It cleanses the emotional body of stress and anxiety, old wounds and hidden traumas, and enkindles lightness within the spirit, as if a burden has been lifted, Blue Apatite – increase your appetite for life, Kyanite – by clearing the energy blocks clogging your fifth chakra, blue kyanite permits a better flow of energy to assist in self-expression and communication. The wand at the top is Selenite which cleanses and amplifies.

There is a glorious visualisation to tune up all your chakras, however, if that doesn’t resonate for you. All good, just take a glorious deep breath in through your nose and sigh it out through your mouth. As you breathe this way for a minute or two I invite you to see right at the base of your throat where your collar bone joins, a glorious pool of clear blue water. See the levels and layers, see your voice in this glorious pool and breathe it in. See where your voice expresses itself in your body and then when you are ready, invite your voice whether it is is in your hands, heart, throat etc to pick the card or cards that resonate for you. Yes?

CROWN OF THE BUTTERFLY BAMBINI

Just as nature imbues the butterfly with an innate ability for radical transformation, so too do you have natural instincts within, guiding you to grow in dramatic, utterly life-changing ways. Progress is your perfection. Growth is your attainment. Do you shun what you have been or mistakes you have made? Or instead, do you wear your ability for transformation as a sacred crown of power?

Transformation is an ability, an art, a sacred power. It requires an ability to go through the death of an old self, to be reborn again. That death might be an identity, a lifestyle or career, or an inner sense of self that no longer seems enough to truly reflect who you are becoming.

It requires both strength and flexibility, to be like bamboo, to bend without breaking. Are you willing to let go of what you have known, who you have been, without judging it, except to understand that you are outgrowing your past and becoming your future in this very moment? This takes great courage whilst flexibility of mind allows you to believe there are other possibilities in this life beyond what you have already experienced. The strength gives you enough courage to bear the loss of the known and the terror of the unknown, perhaps even turning that terror into excitement for what may be.

Don’t dream small dreams, for you are capable of far more dramatic and colourful creations. Trust in the magnificence of what you are becoming, the expression of the transformational intelligence and power within you.

DUKE OF SHADOWS

Cunningly clever am I, helping you discern the truth from the lie. I remind you that half truths may seem to be whole, yet in the shadows is information yet to be known. When the time is right, the light shall be bright, and confusion will give way to understanding.

You are being invited to be patient. This is a cautionary card, not to inspire concern, but rather to inspire curiosity. There is more to a situation, person, opportunity, or even an apparent absence of activity or success, than meets the eye. You could imagine it being like the universe has another card up its sleeve and is yet to show its full hand. A process has been set in motion but is “under the radar” of your awareness. Something is happening, even if that doesn’t appear to be the case. But just like a seed starts to grow into a plant, deep in the earth, apparently invisible and yet very real, you are being subjected to invisible but real forces of growth and healing at this time.

Because you cannot know what you don’t know, you will need to wait for more information to come to you. So if what you see, sense or feel is negative right now, don’t believe it! Things are going to shift and change and there will be a surprising twist in your life. Though you don’t see it coming, another piece of your life puzzle is going to reveal itself soon. It will help solve a difficulty or question you have been holding in your heart.

OUT OF DARKNESS

Something that has been troubling you, something dark within you or in your life, is about to become something else. You won’t see it coming, but when the time is right (and it soon will be), out of darkness will come new life. A seed of new life is growing. Perhaps you cannot see it or feel it because the seed begins its journey to new life in the darkness, hidden, away from sight and away from light. This seed is destined to bring new life to a situation that might seem to be dying, a fresh perspective to a stale problem.

When the time is right – and that is fast approaching – the seed will push through, rise up and reveal itself. It will no longer be just a seed, but a shoot that will grow into a plant and can then flower and bear fruit. It is not a question of whether or not it is going to happen. It is going to happen. It is just a matter of time. Whatever struggle or challenge is in your life or your heart right now, trust that it is going to work out. Not only that, but the very thing that seems to be darkest in your life, the most troublesome, is actually going to be what brings forth a beautiful gift of new life.

In a strange way, it is actually trying to help you. It is assisting you in being ready to receive and experience new life, for something new to be born in you and in your life. This might be the realisation of your own inner strength, your courage, the development of belief in yourself, confidence to trust your instincts or some other gift yet to be understood.

In time, you’ll see that those gifts – developed in order to get through the darkness – helped you step out of the darkness and into a whole new life. Soon you’ll see there was an opportunity and even a blessing hiding in the troubles of your past, just waiting for the right time to transform itself into light and life.

What to do with Discontent and how Super Full Moon in Virgo can help!

Happy, happy Magnificent, Magickal, Marvelous, Manifesting, Majestic, Mischievous, Merry Monday!!!

The sun is out and the sky is blue – it makes me super happy, doobie doo, doobie doo! My pansies are positively perking their little heads up which is a delight to see as I thought that with the bitter cold, massive snow and blowing winds they had perished (as they looked exceptionally sad), but they are rallying and reaching their gorgeous little faces towards the lovely warm sun we have been getting for the last few days. Whoot!

Remember how at the beginning of the month we explored the Shamanic theme of ACTIVATION? How are you doing with this?

The other day I was talking with a client and she was totally bent out of shape, discontent was running rampant through her thoughts and emotions and there was that “itchy” feeling linked to not feeling comfortable in her own physical body. As she shared, it reminded me of what Lena had talked about at the beginning of this month. “Let’s talk about the discontent. There is an aggravated energy that is pushing us towards conflict or breakthrough, new insights and new solutions, and moving us through our discontent and maybe even anger. You must remember to accept this as an important energy that creates the necessary friction for a spark to take place that ignites a circumstance that creates a window for something new to happen and a resolution to be found.”

Okay, so hold that thought about discontent for a moment as we explore the Full Moon.

This month’s full moon is a glorious Super Moon in Virgo, also known as the Snow Moon and she comes with all her glory on Tuesday, February 19th. “This Super Full Moon is potent as it falls at zero degrees of Virgo. Zero is the number of potential and limitless opportunities. Zero is the blank canvas of all creation, signaling that this Full Moon is really going to offer infinite potential. This full moon is going to help us realise our potential and also the potential around us, it is also going to open us, broaden our horizons, and encourage us to open our minds and hearts to something beyond our current reality.” (Read that again, okay?)

“Creativity and inspiration are key words for this full moon and we need to give our imagination some room to play and dream. We can put off the organization of details as we remind ourselves that life is not all seriousness and growth. There needs to be time for the inner child to express through creativity without any attachment to a specific goal.

The needs for expansion, adventure and expression are alive and well and should be acknowledged as allies during this time. Any resistance you have to a little chaos should be let go on an exhale. Take a break, do something fun, give your creativity an outlet and share your gratitude and inspiration with others. With that said, it is also good to make a plan for organizing the details and giving some structure to what comes from imagination, inspiration and creativity.”

Thus, I have an invitation for you. What if you took any discontent you are feeling it and instead of focusing on the discontent you used that energy to really, really fuel your passions and creativity? What would happen? Wouldn’t that be a far better way to utilise it? Now you may be thinking – Jenny, easier said than done, but let’s try a little exercise. Think of those pockets of discontent (with no judgement attached), write them down on the left hand side of a piece of paper. Yes? Now reframe them to a positive and write those on the right hand side of the paper. So for example if an area of discontent were physical body and feeling blaugh and tired – reframe it to something you enjoy i.e. “I love walking in the woods or through the meadows, stretching my legs and filling my lungs up with fresh air.” Capeche?

For myself, one of my passions is gardening and growing things. However, with all the snow we have had and most everything getting cancelled I was getting pretty grumpy about the fact that my inner green thumb needed an outlet to play in. So, on Saturday there was a huge “Seedy Saturday” held at the Convention Centre here, the place was filled with plants, seeds, workshops, bees, honey and you could even rent a chicken! My friend Marja and I went and explored and bought little brown packets of unusual seeds, ogled the bees, picked up literature pertaining to gardening with native plants and I grabbed a huge bundle of lavender that you can cook with. When we got home with our treasure trove of promise we made a plan as to who would grow what and we would share, that way we both ended up with twice as many different plants. We then took the lavender and a shed ton of lemons (which is more than a truck load) and made 9 (yes 9!) lavender lemon pound loaves with a simple syrup of lemon and lavender. Oh My Goddess!!!! Divine, delicious, decadent, delightful and scrumdelicious! So by using the energy of my discontent and funnelling it towards my passion it has set all sorts of wheels in motion and planning galore! (Oh yes, and a great desire to have bees but not rent a chicken!)

So with the divine energy of this wonderful Super Moon in Virgo I invite you to play with the exercise above and when you have finished the reframe, take the left side of the paper (the discontent blurps), light a candle and burn the paper. Offer it up to become cosmic compost and welcome in the intentional energy of creation, activation and inspiration. Are you game?

Okay, enough chuntering from me, let’s dance over to the reading. When I went to my cards and asked who wanted to come support, guide and inspire the Oracle of Shadow and Light did a delightful tap dance to grab my attention. They ask you to step out from the shadows, to no longer hide your light away, and come and consult with guides who acknowledge your individuality and strange genius!”

Positively perfect guides for the energy of this week. When I asked the crystals who wanted to join in it didn’t surprise me to see Black Moonstone – a powerful connector to the Divine Feminine, Brecciated Jasper – a wonderful grounding stone and helps with physical strength and vitality and last but not least, Moonstone – mystery, self discovery and the Goddess.

Okay, I invite you to take a moment or two just for you. Breathe in long and deep through your nose and out through your mouth. As you feel your shoulders settle, your jaw relax and your breathing lengthen invite in the question of passion. What are you passionate about? What can you reframe from discontent to passion? Let that energy flood up and when you are ready pick the card or cards that tug at you.

PINK LOTUS FAIRY

You may love your guilt-free rants, staying up too late, and happily behaving badly, but you’re about to balance all that out with some very powerful new spiritual teachings and connections.

After you have learned more discipline through peaceful practice of meditation or exercise or mantras, you will nurture yourself more willingly, without guilt, and you will have returned to a place of tranquility, self-love and peace. You will bring into balance your own shadows and light. Don’t worry – you will be happier and more peaceful, but you won’t be boring! You could never be!
