What is a Full Moon Ritual and How to Create Your Very Own.

Jenny Heston · 5:55 am ·

The most important thing you need to know about the power of the full moon ritual is that it utilises four essential elements of any transformative spiritual practice: willpower, intention, symbolism, and ritual.

These four elements have a truly electric and intense impact on the unconscious mind. The whole point of a full moon ritual is to generate deep change within the nether regions of your mind, aka your unconscious.

The unconscious mind is the realm of potential, the space in which your soul emerges, and the doorway to Spirit (or the Collective Unconscious). By doing a full moon ritual, you are stepping into your personal power and actively petitioning and preparing your unconscious mind for transformation.

In other words, there is so much more to full moon rituals than pretty candles or crystals – it’s ultimate purpose is genuine spiritual and psychological change.

Now with all that being said, if “creating a Full Moon ritual” feels too much, or you have no interest in doing one.  Then don’t.

The world will not come tumbling to an end because you didn’t, nobody is going to knock on your door and ask to see your Moon Journal…….

However, I do encourage you to try working with Moon energy (New and Full) for at least 4 months.  What have you got to lose?

As you will often hear me saying – it has to resonate for you and your intention for your ritual is EVERYTHING!

How to Create Your Own Full Moon Ritual.

Okay, you’ve come this far and have decided okay maybe I want to test out this Full Moon thing.  After all, if the Moon can move the tides which are water and me being human is composed mainly of water….  Let’s give it a shot.

Fabulous!

Let me give you the nitty gritty basics.  A Full Moon Ritual consists of 4 main parts.

Eye of bat, tongue of newt, the tailfeather of a hawk and a glob of spit!  (I am so joking here!!)

The best thing about making your own 100% tailored-to-you full moon ritual is that it works around your needs, daily schedule, interests, and the current objects you have on hand.

You don’t need to go out and buy a load of metaphysical paraphernalia to enact a powerful full moon ritual nor do you need to make it Instagram-worthy.

What you do need to do is:

1. Checking when the Full Moon is.

You can use a Full Moon app, Google, or whatever.  Ask yourself if you want to work with the Moon astrologically (in otherwords what sign it’s in), seasonally, or just as she comes.

2. Think about what you would like amplified or illuminated within you.

Are there problems that are niggling away at you? What shadows need to come to light? What archetypes would you like to embody? What do you need to let go of? What skills or inner resources do you need to draw on? Reflect on these questions or journal about them.  What are your desired outcomes? What is the reason behind your full moon ritual?

3. Shape your Intention

Once you have completed the previous step (which hopefully won’t take too long), it’s time to set an intention which basically means a goal or objective.

What do you want to achieve? What will be the purpose of your full moon ritual? Write out your full moon intention in your journal or a piece of paper that you can keep and reflect on.  This is why in the New Moon piece I recommend having a Moon journal.  As then you are able to reflect and see the progress and changes you have experienced, that you may have forgotten.

4. Prepare some symbolic objects

Whether on the day/night of the full moon or beforehand, select some symbolic objects that could represent your issue, desire, yourself as a whole, your current place in life, what you need to let go of, your strengths, weaknesses, what needs to be illuminated … you get the picture.

Basically, choose any object currently in your house that represents the part of you or your situation that needs to be amplified or illuminated.

Examples of symbolic objects could include rocks, feathers, flowers, dolls, crystals, cards, figurines, herbs, stamps, old jewellery – literally anything that you feel represents your issue or desire accurately.

And if you don’t have any around you, don’t worry, grab a candle, your favourite crystal or whatever you would like to have with you.

5. Create a Sacred Space for yourself and give it a Cleanse.

Create a space specifically to your ritual that is undisturbed.

You may already have an altar somewhere in your house, and if so, that is perfect. If you don’t find a place in your home, garden, the woods that feels right for you.  Remember ritual doesn’t have to go on for hours, it can be 10 – 15 minutes long.

When you have your space give it a nice cleanse.  You can use smudge, incense, singing bowls, hand clapping to clear out the energetic debris.  Whatever you choose, it’s important that your unconscious mind symbolically registers that the space you’re preparing is sacred and important.

This is time for you and the Moon.

6. Perform your Full Moon ritual

You don’t need to spend hours doing an elaborate ritual. Even just a couple of minutes can be enough to create and evoke a strong message within your unconscious mind.

With your symbolic objects at hand, arrange them in a way that feels powerful to you.

You could arrange them according to your desires, e.g. you could place two symbolic objects together symbolising a union.

You could arrange your objects according to a symbol, e.g. a circle representing wholeness or completing.

You could burn one of the objects or submerge it in a bowl of water representing letting go. (I’m a huge fan of burning things!)

You could place an object on your body and symbolically ‘breathe’ it in.

You could consume one of the objects (if it’s edible and non-toxic) to symbolise empowerment, strength, and renewal.  This is your ritual and there are no rules!

7. Symbolically close your ritual

No matter how you choose to design your ritual, always symbolically close/end it.

Your unconscious mind needs to understand that the ritual is over (think of closing your ritual as hitting the “send” button).

Leaving the ritual open without intentionally closing it sends confusing signals to your unconscious mind.

Closing your ritual is simple. Once again, close it however you intuitively feel is the right way. Examples may include ringing a bell, saying a prayer of thanks, chanting,  saying a phrase like “so may it be,” and so forth.

The important thing is there is no perfect right way to create a Full Moon ritual (and if anyone tells you that, please run!).  Your intention, attention and time are the most important pieces.

Remember where your intention goes, your energy flows and so calling on the Moon energy to amplify and support you is delicious (and most certainly start keeping a Moon journal!)

Let’s see what the Harvest Moon ritual looks like.

Full Moon Energy.

What is the Spiritual meaning of a Full Moon?

There is no one answer to this question, as the full moon carries different meanings for different people.

The moon is such a powerful presence in our lives, pulling on the oceans tides and creating a rhythm of life for all of us. There was a time when we were deeply connected to these rhythms, but, over time, technology and our modern culture has separated us from those celestial vibes.

Aligning yourself with the cycles of nature as a practice can be exceptionally transformative and tapping into the energy phases of the moon is a good place to start.

However, in general, the full moon can be seen as a time of culmination and release.

It is a time when things brewing under the surface come to light, and it is also a time when we can let go of the things that are no longer serving us.

Since ancient times, the moon has come to symbolically embody the realm of the subconscious, emotions, intuition, and the cycles of life and death.

You don’t necessarily need to identify as a pagan or practice other earth-centered spiritual paths to benefit from the power of full moon rituals.

When viewed through a symbolic, psychospiritual, archetypal, or even purely energetic lens, the moon is a very real presence in our lives that can help orient us on the spiritual path.

No matter where you live in the world, the moon is an omnipresent force in your life.

Why not use it in your spiritual practice?

It is hard to see what lies ahead when we are in the dark.

The bright shining moon helps guide our way forward like a lighthouse at sea. It’s encouraging us on our journey towards self-discovery and providing illuminating light that allows hidden aspects to emerge.

The glow of the full moon is a time to reflect and heal.  This is where understanding how to create a Full Moon Ritual and what the Full Moon symbolises is very helpful and will expand your experience.

The Full Moon helps us gain strength and reach our goals successfully. During the full moon phase, emotions are more intense, bringing up feelings about past events and healing old wounds.

But what does the Full Moon Symbolise for me and how can I work with it?

The Last Week of “Summer” and How a Panic Attack can make you Forget it’s all Okay!

Happy Magickal, Merry, Mystical, Magnificent, Manifesting Monday!

Did you take some time to set your New Moon Intentions?  You still have time and if you want to explore what playing with New Moon Magick and Intentions that Manifest looks like.  I talk about what New Moon energy is and how to use it here.

And if you want an easy (but intentional and amazing) ritual for this Virgo New Moon (trust me, you will have everything you need in your home) I have that for you here.

If you remember, last week we talked about Joy and I loved all the amazing emails and messages that you sent it sharing how you were feeling and how talking about a “Joy Meter” really resonated.

A reader did write in with this and ask me this question:

“You talked about Joy and it really got me thinking about my life.  If I look around my life, it’s pretty good.  I have a nice home, a great family, a good circle of friends, but my Joy level is low.  I have long Covid (so a lot of fatigue), do I have to “go out and do big activities to feel Joy?”

Fabulous question and the answer is NO!

Remember, there is a huge difference between Joy and Happiness.

Happiness is caused by an externality, Joy is an inside job.

Joy is not based on externalities, for example you get a new car, you don’t feel Joy, you feel happy.  As you drive the car, relish and remember how you saved for what you wanted, feel the safety, revel in the heated leather seats –  you start to feel Joy when you drive the car, not because of the car per se, but because of the experience.    Does that make sense?

Okay, so let’s say you agree it’s an inside job.  Now what?  From my experience, the more you feel anything the more it becomes a default.  So if you continually feel that the world is out of whack or that there is something wrong with you as you don’t feel Joy and Passion every moment of the day – guess what?  That’s your default.  So it is time to gently, and with massive compassion,  deconstruct that default.

It’s all about shifting the perceptual lens from which you look at life through.

An example.  On Friday I had the worst panic attack I have had in nearly 5 years.  As I took a break in the middle of my work day and took Danu for a yomp, out of nowhere came this panic attack and  I was pretty sure that I was dying.   I immediately went to the place of “Fuck I’m having a heart attack and I will die on the side of the road and Danu will be scared and get hit by a car!”  (Not a helpful thought).  All the tools flew out the window in a flood of cortisol and I forgot that this was transitory and  I was actually okay!

The cars nearby sounded too loud, the sun was too bright and everything felt very sharp and edgy.  Have you ever felt that?  Have you ever had a random panic attack?

Needless to say I didn’t die (or I am writing this from a totally different place!) Lol  And once I had the panic under control and had given the anxiety and fear (that had flooded up out of nowhere) a little bop on the nose.  I was able to breathe again.

So I took myself out to the garden and just sat and looked around for all signs and things that bring me Joy.  To bring me back to that place of connection.

As let’s be honest when you are flooded with a panic attack, anger, despair the connection gets thrown out the window.

What did I see, smell, hear or taste that brought me Joy?

I saw the hummingbirds who kept dashing in to suck up some of the sweet nectar of the wildflowers.  I heard the massively fat squirrel chatter away at Kali (the cat) whilst he dashed up one of the Garry Oaks.  I could smell the honeysuckle (that is now in its fourth bloom this year!)  I sipped on my lovely cuppa lavender tea, and watched the 12ft sunflowers allow their heads to bob and flow with the breeze.

I kicked off my shoes and put my feet on the earth and breathed in that delicious healing energy and I could feel the Joy and Ease flooding in.

Did it cost me any money?  No.

Was it “active”, yes in the way that I was participating in and with everything around me, but I didn’t need to leave my garden.

The key thing was, as frigging scared and freaked out by a random panic attack that made me feel vulnerable, less than and weak.  I could shift the lens that I was looking at life through and remember to look for and EXPECT (intention) Joy to show up all around me, and it did.

Okay, I have chuntered on long enough.  Let’s crack on with the reading.

When I asked the cards who wanted to talk and guide this week I laughed to see that it is the  delicious Spirit of the Animals.

So in case you may have never met them, let me introduce you.  “Animal Medicine, Animal Totems, and Animal Mascots have had cultural significance throughout our history.  Europeans adopted animals as tribal symbols that were later incorporated into crests for nations.  China has an animal associated with every birthday.  The Romans celebrated the eagle as the symbol for the empire.  Our ancestors observed the appearance of animals as omens and signs.  Shamans and mystics rely on spirit animal helpers.  Native Americans have vision quests to discover their personal animal totem.  School sports teams choose animal mascots.  It is no wonder that the interest in animals as emblems and how they relate to us still persists.  Animals as symbols live in our deepest memory.”

Okay delicious lovely, take a gorgeous deep breath and allow your shoulders to drop and your jaw to gently relax.  I invite you to see in your mind’s eye a place of stillness, a place filled with ease and flow, a place where you feel connected to earth and source.  From the place pick the card or cards that whisper to you.

Did you Remember to Pick?

Let’s go have a look, shall we?

PENGUIN

Authentic

Penguin is the bird that cannot fly but instead swims.  They can see better underwater than on land, symbolising better access to the subconscious mind than usual.

Penguins are full of surprises just like the people they represent.  The males and females experience role reversals.  Male penguins will sit on the eggs for months while their female counterparts hunt for food.

Penguin urges you to adapt to extreme circumstances, break free from expectations and reinvent yourself.  Penguin says adapt, change, find your tribe, sing and celebrate your uniqueness.

Penguin people often feel awkward or out of place.  Tapping into Penguin energy can help you embrace your differences.  Self – acceptance is a big part of Penguin medicine.  They remind us that there is no right way to be!

Like all diving birds, Penguin relates to the truth that lies below the surface.  Maybe Penguin is telling you to go below, find your deeper truth and your most authentic self.

These are things in life that really matter.  Finding like minded people (your tribe) will help you see your beauty as you see theirs.

The wisdom of Penguin asks you to just be the unique and colourful person that you are!

Break free from others’ expectations.

Love your uniqueness.  Just be Yourself!

PRONGHORN

Action

While it is often called an antelope, the pronghorn is a unique species native to North America.  Their thick hide protects them from the cold and predators.

Pronghorns’ energy, quick wit and speed are their gifts.

They never drop their antlers, which like antennas represent connection spirit, psychic abilities and intuition.

For Pronghorn, these gifts remain a constant in their lives.  Their strong sense of smell and hearing helps them know when things are not right.

If Pronghorn has come to you, you are energetic and have an agile mind.  You will have all you ever need.  Your intuitive gifts help keep you alerted to danger when you listen.

There is a new path on offer, use your keen eyesight to find the way. In other words, the Antelope meaning reminds you to make your decisions wisely by using your instincts rather than your intellect

Pronghorn people are ultimate adaptors and possess the power of survival.  If Pronghorn crosses your path it is saying “Do it now, don’t wait.”  Trust your intuition, harness your courage and get ready to “take the leap.”

Your talents will always

Help you land on the pinnacle.

Your quick wit and keen senses

Will lead you to success.

SEA OTTER

Happiness

You are being called to the spontaneous art of playful living.

Otter people swim in the iconic watery world of their intuition and feelings.  Otter people are inclusive and welcome the company of family, tribe and community.

Otter people know how to “go with the flow” and master celebrating life with simple things.

Otter energy is the playfulness of a child, available to us at any age.  They have a giddiness and reverence for life itself, without the presence of doubt, worry, or skepticism.

Are you fighting life’s currents?

Imagine yourself with a little more Otter energy.  What would life look like?  What would it take to bring you there?

Your inner child needs room to frolic and play and if you let it out, you will be sure to enjoy life and not simply endure it.  Let Otter lead you to all that is good in the world: happiness, abundance, friends and love.  The celebration awaits!

Be the master of playful living.

Release expectations and enjoy every day.

Let worry go and instead choose love.

Surrender to the waves.

Your good destiny of love is sure.

What glorious guides for this week as we head into September! Wishing you a stupendous week filled with Ease, Love, Joy and Remembering – You are okay! Big hugs and squeezes!

New Moon in Virgo – Ritual for Health and Abundance.

Jenny Heston · 3:55 pm ·

NEW MOON IN VIRGO

August 27th we welcome the New Moon in Virgo, so think about the energy that comes to mind for you when I mention Virgo.

Virgo is an earth sign historically represented by the goddess of wheat and agriculture,  an association that speaks to Virgo’s deep-rooted presence in the material world.  And the fact that we are in harvest season.

If you look around you can see, kids are getting ready to go back to school, teens back to University and many rec centres, gyms and art schools are offering Fall courses, and now is certainly the time to sign up.  So there’s an energy of ending (of summer) and new beginnings of Fall.

Then if we look at Nature, here on the West Coast where I live, I can already see the leaves are starting to change.  The geese are flying overhead in their V’s honking like mad things and landing on any flat patch of grass they can find.

Some of the flowers are dying back, and the tomatoes are ripening under the late August sun and my herbs have exploded and are standing at about 5 feet tall!

It’s harvest time.  A time of preparation.  A time to sink your feet into the earth and thank Mumma Gaia for her gifts and bounty.  A time to choose what you want to experience, feel and think.

So what are those things?  How do you want to feel and what do you want to draw to you?

With the New Moon in Virgo, it’s time to heal, weed, edit, and discern. The vibe is thoughtful, sensitive, health-oriented, compassionate and particular; we need to keep our eyes not on what we want to throw away, but what we want to keep and nurture.

The image for the sign of Virgo recalls the people who once used their powers of discernment literally to sort the wheat from the chaff – back in the days of people – skilled agriculture.  So use the energies of this moon to think about where in your life you need to make changes.  Pay particular attention to your daily routines.

Virgo New Moon Ritual for Health and Abundance

You’re going to need your lovely moon book and pen,

a white candle,

crystals of choice,

a posy of fresh garden herbs (if you have them),

or a wee container of some dried ones from the kitchen,

a hot cup of water,

cleansing tool of choice (smudge, incense, essential oil),

and whatever music makes you feel good!

Find a peaceful spot where you will not be disturbed.

Then set the space and make it sacred to you.

Light your candle, place the crystals you chose so they can bathe in the candle light, and play the music that makes you feel the emotions you’ll experience when your manifestation comes to fruition.  (This could be any type of music).

As you sit with your candle flickering away, allowing the energy of this lovely harvest new moon to fill the space around you.  Take your cleansing tool and clear your space, yourself and your tools and to invite the glorious Moon Goddess in to support you.

Then take a moment to feel gratitude for all that’s good in your life.  Think about the people, places and situations that make you happiest.  Write down 5 – 10 of them that make you happy and/or for which you’ve been grateful in the past month.

Send big love and gratitude to those people or places, and remember to include yourself.

In this state of gratitude gather your herbs and gently press them between your fingers.  Allow their divine smell and healing oils to explode on your finger tips and infuse them with the gratitude you are feeling.

Then pop them into the cup of hot water with thanks.  (You’re brewing up a gorgeous New Moon gratitude tea! Nom!)

When this is done, ask yourself:-  What do you want to create more of in regards to health, wellness, abundance, organisation and feeling prepared?  (Remember the Virgo energy in this time of harvest).

If you’re feeling a tad stumped as to clarity and direction, use the New Moon Journal Prompts to get your juices flowing.

Decide on 10 wishes/intentions that resonate for you.

Then write them down, doodle them, colour them – whatever works for you.

Then narrow it down to 3 intentions and write them as if they’ve already happened. Keep your thoughts and intentions positive for this New Moon ritual.

Then read them outloud to the Moon and really feel and visualise them as here and now.  (This is important).

Then for each of your amazing intentions write an affirmation that rings true for you.  For example:-

New Moon Ritual Affirmation For Positive Manifestation Intentions

I am aligned with the Moon and the Universe. The energy of this New Moon is providing me with abundance and helping to manifest my best Self. I attract and welcome new ideas and beliefs easily into my life.

Now include a personal phrase that’s specific to your intention. Remember to use positive words and avoid negativity. An example might be, “I am grateful to have all the money I need. Wealth is a natural part of my life.”

Collect your gorgeous cup of herbal tea that is filled with gratitude and breathe your intentions into the water.

Then as you sit reflecting on this wonderful experience, sip  your New Moon brew which is infused with gratitude and intentions and really feel them all coming to fruition.

Thank the glorious Moon Goddess for coming and dancing with you, releasing all attachment to the outcome.

You might want to say “Om Namo Narayani” 3 times or “This or something better now comes to me, with grace and ease and in perfect ways.”

Then pop your music on and celebrate!

Remember – The potency of your ritual stems from its importance to you!

Where’s your Joy? Virgo New Moon and Equinox is rapidly approaching.

Jenny Heston · 9:33 am ·

Delicious, lovely!  Happy Magickal, Mysterious, Merry, Melodious, Magnificent, Magickal Manifesting Monday!

How are you?

Let’s talk about Joy shall we?  Where is your daily Joy metre sitting at?  Is it 90 out of a 100? 50 out of a 100?  Or are you having a dalliance in the negative numbers?  (There is no wrong answer to this and I will not be checking your homework!)

Now what do I mean by Joy?

Let’s differentiate between Happiness and Joy, they are both emotions, however Happiness may be caused by luck, good fortune, or other person-centric pleasures.

Joy is caused by elation at a moment in time. Joy may not always be about oneself but be about others’ contentment also.

Joy is an emotion composed of feelings of happiness, contentment, and harmony. It differs from general happiness in that it is not caused by a particular event but comes from within the individual. … Joy is a generalised feeling that comes from the person.

To put it bluntly, Joy is an inside job!

So let’s come back to the original question – Where’s your Joy metre sitting?

If your Joy metre is meh, come with me and write a list.

Around mid June I noticed that my Joy metre wasn’t nearly as high as it normally was.  It was sitting at about 30/100.  It’s not that there was anything wrong in life, I love my clients, my work, but I had got into a tad of a rut of doing the same things over and over.

Then near the end of July as the anniversary for my big sister approached and the grief rose up, yet alone the holding space for all the family, I realised it was down to 10/100 and by then I couldn’t seem to muster the energy to change it, it felt too hard (does that make sense?)

So the next day I managed to come down with Covid that kicked 7 bells of Hell out of me and my Joy metre went down to about a negative 50!

Something had to frigging change and shift as this is not how I chose to participate in life.

So I made a list (not a to-do list, but a Joy list).

My list consists of 59 things or more that I want to see, try, do, feel, taste or experience.  All new things to me.  Note – this isn’t “what do I like”, but more “what am I willing to try that I might like?”

So far they range from trying a new hike, to eating pickled lemons, trying a hip-hop dance class, learning a new craft, trying out the ukulele, going to a new market, and a myriad of others.

Some are simple and easy, some are a tad more complex.  Some cost money, others don’t, I just have to have the willingness and the curiosity to try something new and different and to look out at the world in a way that invites in new as well.

The miraculous part of making the original list is it ignited my sense of curiosity and playfulness and almost every other day I find myself adding something else onto the list that piques my interest.    So I’ve signed up for an “Alice in Wonderland outdoor escape adventure”, where the streets of downtown are turned into an outdoor escape room!

Since starting my list I have tried 6 new things, one of them being kayaking on the ocean and I will say my Joy metre is steadily rising, I feel much more grounded and I look forward to playing everyday.  And this time next year I will have a list of 52 or more “new to me” things I have tried!

I invite you to try this process, it’s glorious fun and helps you shift your lens of perception.

Give it a try.  What do you have to lose?  And if you want to go deeper there are 7 Steps to Reclaiming Your Joy that will help you as we approach this New Moon.

As August comes to a close, we welcome in the New Moon in Virgo on August 27th (Saturday).

Now if you remember New Moons are a fabulous time for setting intentions and making New Moon wishes.  As Forever shares:-

“Falling in the earthy sign of Virgo, there is a grounded energy to this New Moon. It beckons us to sink our feet into the earth, to feel a part of all that surrounds us, and to remember that life is so much easier when we flow in harmony with the season of our lives.

Use the energy of the Virgo New Moon, to accept your reality, to bring yourself back down to Earth, and to recognize that your soul chose to be here, on this planet, at this time. It doesn’t really matter the reason, but knowing you are walking where you are meant to be walking, even if it doesn’t feel like it, can bring a sense of peace into your being. Allow yourself to find truth in that idea, whatever that looks like for you.

Give yourself permission to fully and wholeheartedly accept that you are right where you need to be, and all that is unfolding right now is leading you to your highest growth and highest expression of your soul.

How can you treat yourself as the sacred being that you are?

So as you make your New Moon Intentions (which will walk with you until March 2023), what will bring you more Joy, creativity, ease and flow and help you really honour yourself?

Okay, let’s crack on with the reading.  So when I went to the cards and asked who would like to guide and support this week I giggled when I saw it was The Oracle of Shadows and Light.  With the invitation to walk into the darkness of New Moon, they are positively perfect!

Now if these guides are new to you, please let me introduce them

Wisdom for Misfits, Mystics, Seekers, and Wanderers.

Bittersweet…Unheard…Unconventional…Rebellious…Cheeky…Whimsical…Invisible.  They’re not the words you often hear associated with the spiritual world, are they?

Nevertheless, some of the most spiritual beings who have ever lived are those who have been most at odds with what we call the mainstream.  They do not fit in.  They have had moments of despair.  And they know being truthful, and being real, is one of the greatest strengths and spiritual paths of all!  They ask you to step out from the shadows, to no longer hide your light away, and to consult with an oracle that acknowledges your individuality and strange genius!

How’s that for a warm welcome?

So darling one, take a moment to just be here now (how many times have you heard that and ignored it?) Breathe deep into your belly, let your shoulders relax and allow in your minds eye the sensation of Joy to swirl. Let your Joy show you what her colours look like and give you images. Then when you are ready, pick the card or cards that whisper.

Did you remember to pick?

Let’s go look shall we?

SEWER MERMAID

Your sensuality is beautiful!

You’re being reminded of the treasures you have that you may have labelled “bad” and perhaps even pushed away, forced underneath.  We often have negative thoughts – that we are too short, too tall, our thighs too large, our breasts too small, our hair not right, our face not pretty enough.  We speak to ourselves in negative ways, and we begin to feel we are not good enough.

And when this takes place, the result can be that we begin to create negative experiences, blockages, and difficulties.

We push away, rather than attract them.  We hide for fear that what others see will not be good enough.

But this mermaid of the hidden spaces is here to show you that your dark thoughts have told you lies about your great beauty; you are your own self, and all that you are is perfect, whole, and complete.

You may try to push her away and refuse to believe that you are beautiful.  But when you are ready, she will swim to you and free you from all the harmful, negative thoughts and experiences, all the “sewage”.  You will begin to believe that no matter what, you are a beautiful being, healthy, attractive, and one who deserves love, respect, and affection.

It’s time to believe in yourself – that you are attractive, beautiful, and worthy of love and respect.  She will show you how to see your body as a place of health, delight, and strength.  Let’s clean up your physical and mental acts.  Let’s love all aspects of the physical self.

Let us not criticise and hate ourselves, no matter our size, shape, or differences.  We are all unique expressions of the Divine – and that truth most certainly applies to you.  Let us not be ashamed anymore.

Let us celebrate who we are, and learn to love the differences, and be grateful for all that we have, are, and will be.

It is time to clean up your act – not of your natural looks, but of the way you have thought about yourself!  Something beautiful has been treated badly.  It is now up to you to begin to reframe your ideas and thoughts and therefore your experiences of yourself, your body, your worth, your ability to attract others, and to see yourself as worthy of love, respect, and consideration.

You are beautiful and very worth loving.  This is the only truth that must be told at this time.

VIOLET DUCHESS

Stifled, bored and stuck.

Bored!  Stifled!  Ah yes, she’s trying to be “good” and “nice” and polite – but it’s not working.  This lovely and very passionate aristocrat has her fairy wings tucked firmly in, not visible at all, and is sitting stiffly, listening to someone give a lecture on manners.

She’s polite on the surface, but it’s easy to see (and feel) that she is bored, frustrated, and ready to fly away at the first opportunity.  For now, she will bide her time, but  you can see the frustration growing beneath – and frustration is, after all, only your own life force, turned within, and longing to break free of its restraints.

In your admirable quest for balance, you can actually become too neutral, pretending to be serene, acting polite, not making waves – and not speaking your truth!  Now that I’ve arrived showing you exactly how you feel, it’s time to discover – or rediscover – a raw and honest emotional reaction you had to a person, or to an issue, and express it.

It’s all very well being a lover of harmony and not wanting to be a “troublemaker” but being a lukewarm person in regards to situations that really matter is not going to do you any favours.

Bottling up your true self leads to unhealthy relationships, aches, pains, and even illness!

Go for the passionate and truthful option – and rediscover just how strongly you can feel, and how much fun you can have!

Your desire to be liked, to please to be seen as a “lady” or a “gentleman” is cheating yourself out of something wonderful that you deserve to experience.  Sometimes, there are rules that simply need to be broken.  Keeping to the spirit of the law sometimes means breaking the letter of the law, that’s how things change.

There is a situation at the moment that has revealed itself as unjust, unfair, and absolutely unattractive to you, but you have yet to speak up!

The most inspiring thing about this situation is that you’ll discover just how safe it is to stand up for what you truly believe in.  Others will be inspired, too, so while it feels like you’re taking a risk, at first, after a while you’ll realise you’ve started your own small revolution.

THE THREE FATES

What comes around…..

It’s happening again!  Many of us have faced difficulty and troubled times in our lives.  Sometimes the impact of a negative experience is so profound that it leaves us with physical, mental, and yes, spiritual residue for months, even years, after the actual event.

While you’re still vibrating – as the Three Fates put it – to the energy of a negative experience, you tend to repeatedly attract echoes of that exact experience.

It seems you need another cosmic reminder of something that needs to be cleared and mastered.  Letting go is this moment’s very important lesson for you to learn.  It’s not about forgetting this lesson – because where’s the wisdom in that?

The Three Fates are suggesting that you move on and learn and actively replace this experience with completely different versions of the same theme.  No more repeats!  This is the opportunity to try something different, and see what magick takes place when you vary the approach!

You may have been enjoying your own life’s reruns lately – wallowing through the memories and feeling sad, bittersweet, and nostalgic about the Good Old Days, whenever they were, exactly.

You know what?  It’s fine to muse on the past – your memories are precious and do need to be tended.

But it’s another thing altogether to be filled with regret, wishing you’d one things differently.  Life is a constant do-over.  You get a fresh chance every second you are alive.  So stop beating yourself up.  You have an opportunity to heal, to clear, to no longer hold onto and feel sad about the same thing anymore.

You can do things differently – you are not a prisoner of how they have always been done.  What  you have done – even if you judge it to be a mistake – can be reworked and learned from.  That is its wisdom!

You are so not alone – we all have karmic lessons, themes, stories that seem to repeat.  Learn from this.  Beware of what is taking place as a fateful encounter to master Life.

If you take this approach, you’ll be all the richer for learning – wise, free, and able to help others, too.

Okay seriously, frigging fabulous guides.  As we talked about Joy and then we expanded it with sensuality, bursting out of the confines and releasing the past – perfect for this New Moon on Saturday.  Sending you massive hugs and squeezes and have a fantabulous list.  Play with Joy!

Seriously? Seriously, the Trump administration i Seriously?

Seriously, the Trump administration is attacking Sesame Street?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who organized the hearing — which she called “Anti-American Airwaves” — opened her remarks by deriding PBS and NPR as “radical left-wing echo chambers” that published skewed news reports and indoctrinated children with LGBTQ+ programming.

Wow. One Muppet attacking real muppets. Sad.

Happy Beltane my loves. Beltane is one of the fo Happy Beltane my loves.

Beltane is one of the four great fire festivals and was traditionally a celebration of life, the first signs of summer, the fertility of the land and people, and the promise of the light and growth to come.

Beltane is translated as bright fire, and communities would build fires to symbolise the growing power of the sun and to purify, cleanse and renew after the dark months of winter.

This is a time of fertility and growth, love and joy, sexuality and sensuality, the coming together of the masculine and feminine creative energies in all of us and, most of all, abundance and happiness.

Flowers are everywhere, the earth is lush and green, and there
is a sense that Nature is virile, fertile and celebrating being alive.

We too will feel this same alive, fertile energy within us, calling us to allow ourselves and our dreams to grow into all that they can become.

BELTANE / BEALTAINE / MAY DAY May 1st 2025 🌸 B BELTANE / BEALTAINE / MAY DAY
May 1st 2025 🌸

Beltane is the Celtic festival of fire and fertility, celebrated this year on May 1st. It marks the height of spring and the threshold of summer—a time when the Earth is fully alive, vibrant, and brimming with passion. The days grow longer, the sun stronger, and the world hums with the fierce joy of growth and creation.

Beltane honours the union of Earth and Sky, the sacred marriage that brings forth abundance and life. The goddess and god dance together through the fields and forests, weaving blossoms into the land and awakening the fires within all living things. Bonfires blaze in their honour, and ribbons fly from the maypole as a prayer for blessing, vitality, and fertile dreams.

The fires are lit. The Earth is ablaze with life. 🥰🌸

It’s the last Monday of April! How are you fee It’s the last Monday of April!

How are you feeling? There has been a lot energetically and globally to hold.

We are in Taurus season, the bull, which invites a slow down and a dropping into that feeling of worthiness.

Can you do that? Slow down and really embrace yourself where you are right now?

On Thursday we celebrate Beltane!

A glorious fire festival that dances in you, around you and with you to help you remember the pleasures of life.

There’s a glorious Beltane Booklet for you, 5 questions to ask yourself at Beltane. All sorts or magick, as the veil is thin and the Fae want to play and chat.

There’s a moment—a quiet, powerful shift—whe There’s a moment—a quiet, powerful shift—when a woman stops waiting for validation and starts living for herself. It’s not loud. It’s not dramatic. But it’s life-changing.

She no longer explains her choices, dims her light, or tiptoes around expectations. She walks in her truth, fully and unapologetically. That moment?

It’s freedom. It’s the deep knowing that she is enough, her dreams are valid, and her life is hers to shape.

No more asking for permission. No more shrinking to fit spaces never meant for her. Just existing in her power, her purpose, and her joy. And when you see a woman living like that—really living—it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Sis, if you’re not there yet, know this: it’s coming. And when it does, you’ll never look back. ✨🔥

🔥 LIBRA FULL MOON (APRIL 12): RADICAL LOVE, RAD 🔥 LIBRA FULL MOON (APRIL 12): RADICAL LOVE, RADICAL TRUTH

Astrologically speaking… the wounds are loud. The dreams? Louder. And the class war? It just got spiritual.

This Full Moon in Libra isn’t just about balance—it’s about calling back your power from every place you gave it up in the name of keeping the peace. It’s a cosmic reckoning. A line in the sand.

⚖️ Libra wants justice, harmony, and integrity in relationships.
🔥 But with the Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries? We’re being asked to tell the truth—even when it burns.
💧 And with Venus stationing direct in Pisces? Love is being rebirthed as a liberating force, not a fantasy.

This lunation asks:

✨ Where are you masking peace over truth?
✨ What are you done apologizing for?
✨ How do you make your love sacred—not performative?

Let this Full Moon recalibrate you. Organize your values. Reclaim your voice. And remember: sometimes the most radical thing you can do… is love honestly.
